We begin with the labor dispute at Air Canada.
Hello, we won't go.
The union representing flight attendants say they're going to defy the government's order to return to work.
Yesterday, the Canadian Industrial Relations Board ordered the union to end its strike
and the airline to end its lockout by 2 p.m. Eastern.
But QP says it's going to challenge that ruling.
Here's Wesley's Lassoski. He's the president of the Air Canada component of QB.
We're not willing to accept binding arbitration at this stage. We're here to negotiate a collective agreement.
Something that we can now see was put on hold by Air Canada awaiting this decision. We're just not going to accept it at this time.
They didn't address unpaid work or anything else. So they haven't come to the table because this was the plan all along.
And we're not willing to accept that.
Air Canada had said it would resume flights this evening, but that is now up in the air.
The Long Lake Fire in Nova Scotia's Annapolis Valley has grown to about 1,100 hectares and is still out of control.
And Jim Rutterham, with the Department of Natural Resources, says they're not getting much help from the weather.
The province continues to be very hot and dry. Today is very low humidity and wind and warm,
and it's everything we don't need for helping us put out fires.
A short light rain is forecast for overnight, but Rutterham says it won't be enough to make a difference.
They need several days of sustained rain.
In New Brunswick, the Lavalette fire has been contained, and an evacuation alert in that area has been lifted.
Six wildfires remain out of control, including the Oldfield Road fire near Miramishie.
In Newfoundland, the evacuation alert remains in place for Conception Bay North,
and a new one was issued for the town of Freshwater, as the Kingston Fire and,
and two other fires continue to burn out of control.
And wildfires continue to rage in the north of Spain
as the country deals with one of the worst heat waves of the year.
Local authorities are warning.
Temperatures are expected to reach up to 45 degrees in some areas.
More than 1,000 firefighters and members of the military
continue to battle the flames.
Much of southern Europe is facing one of the worst wildfire seasons
in 20 years.
Ukraine's president will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House tomorrow,
but he won't be alone.
Several members of the so-called coalition of the willing will be with him
as he tries to make progress on ending Russia's invasion.
Cameron McIntosh has the story.
We have to stop the killings.
Putin has many demands.
Ukrainian president, Vlodomir Zelensky, says if he's going to negotiate peace with Russia,
the fighting needs to stop now.
It's impossible to do this.
their pressure of weapons. So it's necessary to ceasefire.
Zelensky will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump tomorrow at the White House,
along with the leaders of the UK, Germany, Italy, Finland, and the European Union.
Rather than a ceasefire, Russia is calling for a full peace deal,
which Trump now favors after his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday.
Trump's special envoy, Stephen Whitkoff, says Russia is offering concessions on security guarantees and land swaps.
We made so much progress at this.
meeting with regard to all the other ingredients necessary for a peace deal that President Trump
pivoted to that place.
Trump posted to social media this morning. Big progress on Russia. Stay tuned.

A nationwide strike is underway in Israel in support of the hostages still held in Gaza.
Tens of thousands of protesters are demanding the Netanyahu government
negotiate a ceasefire and the return of hostages. They worry the government's offensive to take over
all of Gaza will endanger the lives of the hostages still held by Hamas. Many unions,
businesses and municipalities join the strike, but not the country's largest union. Far-right
factions in Benjamin Netanyahu's government insist Hamas must be completely destroyed. Police arrested
dozens of protesters. That is the world this hour. For CBC News, I'm Gina Louise
Phillips.
