A 12-year-old Alberta's boys charged with the attempted murder of his 7-year-old brother.
The 12-year-old initially told Lethbridge Police that an unknown male had entered the home,
but Staff Sergeant Ashland Snowden says investigators don't believe that.
A search warrant was executed at the residence,
and a knife believed to be involved in the offense was seized.
As the investigation progressed, evidence was obtained indicating the 12-year-old boy
had stabbed his brother repeatedly and believed he'd killed him.
The 12-year-old is in custody. The younger boy is in stable condition.
Court records in Manitoba show the man accused of killing his sister
and stabbing several others was out on bail at the time of the attack.
Yesterday, RCMP say Tyrone Simard attacked eight people in two homes on Hollow Water First Nation.
The 26-year-old suspect fled in a stolen car and died after crashing into an RCMP cruiser.
Records reveal RCMP, I'm sorry, Samar, was facing charges for assault with a weapon and mischief
and when it pay court granted his release in June with conditions including a curfew and in order not to possess weapons.

Woodhouse-Neepanak says leaders don't have enough funding for public safety officers.

We now know a couple from Quebec is among the casualties in a tragic tram crash in Lisbon.
They were on a celebratory holiday when a funicular car flew off the rails and crashed into a building.
At least 16 people are dead, many more injured.

The full international scope of the tram car crash is coming into focus as a memorial of flowers at the site of the accident involving the Gloria Lyft grows.
And Portuguese authorities confirmed the dead includes 11 foreigners.
