And tonight, U.S. President Donald Trump is paying tribute to Charlie Kirk in a video posted
on his truth's social platform. Trump also blames the American far left for the murder.
For years, those on the radical left have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis
and the world's worst mass murderers and criminals. This kind of rhetoric.
is directly responsible for the terrorism that we're seeing in our country today, and it must stop
right now. Here in Canada, conservative leader Pierre Palliev posted on X, we must all
strongly denounce the shooting of Charlie Kirk. Political violence is never justified. The attacker
must be brought to justice, and free speech must be upheld. A toddler is dead after a vehicle

with York Regional Police. It is still early investigation, but I can tell you that a man in his
70s has since been arrested in relation to this incident. We are still determining the sequence of
events. However, information right now has led us to determine that this was not a deliberate act. The child
who died was one and a half.

Olivia Stefanovic has exclusive details.
CBC News has learned the first series of projects that Carney is advancing
to the new major projects office for consideration.
The information comes from a list shared on the condition of confidentiality.
It includes a second-phase expansion of LNG Canada's plant in Kittamat, BC.
That project would double the production of liquefied natural gas,
a new nuclear project in southern Ontario.
It would make Canada the first G7 country to have an operational small modular reactor,
developing a new copper and zinc mine in east central Saskatchewan,
expansions to the port of Montreal,
