The inflation update comes ahead of tomorrow's Bank of Canada interest rate setting. Meanwhile, Food Bank's Canada is out today with its annual poverty report card, and it's giving Canada a failing grade when it comes to housing affordability, access to health care, and adequate government support. Starting point is 00:02:43 Israel's ambassador to the UN in Geneva calls the report fake. The report relies entirely on Hamas falsehoods, laundered and repeated by, others. But even U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, leaving Israel for Qatar, agrees there is a crisis and very little time for a negotiated solution. We don't have months anymore. We probably have days and maybe a few weeks, so it's a key moment. A moment when Israel's attack on Gaza is only intensifying. Sasha Petrissik, CBC News, Jerusalem. U.S. President Donald Trump has left Washington for a state visit to Britain. Charles, as you know, who's now king is my friend.
Starting point is 00:03:26 And they've never used Windsor Castle for this before. They used Buckingham Palace. And I don't want to say one's better than the other, but they say Winter Castle is the ultimate, right? So it's going to be nice. But basically up there also... That's Trump on the White House lawn this morning just prior to leaving for London. He arrives tonight and will be greeted by Prince William and Princess Catherine. From there, it's an audience with King Charles.
Starting point is 00:03:49 It is rare for a second-term American president to be granted. a second state visit. In fact, British Prime Minister Kier Starrmer calls it unprecedented. That's Redford in the 1976 film, All the President's Men. It's just one of a number of his classic films. They include everything from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid to the sting. Three Days of the Conduct.
