The United Nations Commission of Inquiry
has released a damning report on Israel's actions in Gaza.
Navi Pillay chairs the commission.
The commission concluded that Israel
has committed genocide against the Palestinian
people in Gaza and that it is continuing with that genocide.
The Commission determined that the Israeli government is, quote, intent to destroy the Palestinians
in Gaza, and it's doing it with attacks on civilians, forced displacements, and the denial of aid.
The Commission says the actions are incited by senior Israeli officials, including Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu. Israel has refused to cooperate with this Commission, saying its work is based on Hamas
falsehoods. The report is published as Israel began its ground assault in Gaza City.
