Hey, how's it going?
Amazing. I just finished paying off all my debt with the help of the credit counseling society.
Whoa, seriously? I could really use their help.
It was easy. I called and spoke with a credit counselor right away. They asked me about my debt,
salary, and regular expenses. Gave me a few options and helped me along the way.
You had a ton of debt and you're saying credit counseling society helped with all of it?
Yep, and now I can sleep better at night.
Right on! When debt's got you, you've got us. Give credit counseling society a
call today. Visit no more debts.org.
From CBC News, the world this hour.
I'm Claude Fagg. We begin in Ukraine.
Emergency workers survey the damage to residential buildings in the eastern city of
Denepro. Officials say at least three people were killed during a large-scale Russian missile
strike in the city. Several more are said to have been wounded. Ukraine's president,
Vladimir Zelensky is calling the attack a deliberate strategy to terrorize civilians and destroy
infrastructure. Russia is also being accused of violating Estonia's airspace. Romania is also
accusing Moscow of breaching its airspace. Several European airports, including the biggest on the
continent, have been hit by a cyber attack. The attack has disrupted electronic checking and boarding
systems for passengers traveling through London Heathrow Airport, as well as Brussels and
Berlin, causing delays and some cancellations. The system provider says departing passengers can still
check in manually, and that it's working on getting the issue fixed as soon as possible.
Canada is expected to recognize a Palestinian state at the United Nations General Assembly in
New York next week. The man who will be soon Canada's UN ambassador spoke to CBC Radio's the
House about what the move is coming, why the move is coming now, and where the Canadian government
stands on the accusations that Israel is committing genocide.
Host of the House, Catherine Cullen, reports.
We've seen horrific things happen,
both in terms of what Hamas has done
and what has been done in Gaza.
David Lamedy says that is what's spurring Canada
to recognize a Palestinian state.
A former Justice Minister, now advisor to Mark Carney,
in November, he'll become Canada's ambassador to the United Nations.
The goal is that we have a Jewish state, Israel,
We have a Palestinian state that live side by side in security and peaceful coexistence
in which Hamas does not have a role.
Conservative leader Pierre Polyev has called this a plan for a Hamas state.
Earlier this month, he said his party would never support it.
We were obviously not going to recognize Hamas as a state.
Well, the NDP wants the Canadian government to do more,
including calling Israel's actions a genocide.
This week, a United Nations commissioned panel of inquiry said Israel,
had committed genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. Israel has repeatedly, vehemently denied the accusation.

The ground search for two missing children in Nova Scotia is set to resume with police cadaver dogs.
Six-year-old Lily and four-year-old Jack Sullivan have been missing since early May.
They were last seen at their home in the rural community of Lansdowne Station.
Daniel Martel is the children's stepfather. He's been calling for a cadaver dog.
search for months and says the community wants to know what happened.
It's not just sad for Jack and Lily, but it's sad for everybody who knew Jack and Lily.
They had friends, they had went to school, and it's just they had teachers that seen them every
day, and it's just hard on everybody.
RCMP say they don't have a definitive reason to believe the children are deceased,
but they do say that after so much time, it is possible.
There's continued fallout to the suspension of American talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.
U.S. President Donald Trump is defending the head of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission.
FCC chair Brendan Carr threatened to revoke the broadcast license of Kimmel's network, ABC,
a move that Texas Senator Ted Cruz called Dangerous.
Trump disagrees.
I think Brendan Carr is a courageous person.
I think Brendan Carr doesn't like to see the airwaves be used.
illegally and incorrectly and purposely horribly. I think Brendan Carr is a great American patriot,
so I disagree with Ted Cruz on that. During his podcast yesterday, Cruz accused Carr of using what
he called mafioso tactics, while Kimmel's suspension has provoked a backlash and concerns about
free speech. Cruz's criticism is the sharpest yet to come from a Republican. And that is
your world this hour. For CBC News, I'm Claude Fagic.
Thank you.
