Too many students are packed into overcrowded classrooms in Ontario schools,
and it's hurting their ability to learn.
But instead of helping our kids, the Ford government is playing politics,
taking over school boards and silencing local voices.
It shouldn't be this way.
Tell the Ford government to get serious about tackling overcrowded classrooms
because smaller classes would make a big difference for our kids.

Belgium and France are the latest countries to formally recognize a Palestinian state.
I declare that France reconnoisse today the state.
President Emmanuel Macron made the announcement in New York,
ahead of the UN General Assembly.
Prime Minister Mark Carney is also there,
talking about Canada's challenges and choices.
in the midst of a new world order. Tom Perry reports on that.
Please join me in welcoming Prime Minister Carney.
Mark Carney speaking before a room full of policy wonks in New York City
fielding questions on foreign and domestic issues,
including Canada's decision to join the UK and Australia in recognizing a Palestinian state.
We're under no illusions that this is any sort of panacea.
Kearney says it's necessary for Canada to push on this now
because the possibility of self-determination for the Palestinian people is being erased.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed there will be no Palestinian state
and has reacted angrily to Canada's declaration.
Carney also faced questions on Ukraine and on Canada's relationship with the U.S.
The Prime Minister repeated a point he's made before that there's been a rupture in the world order,
but he says that in a way has done Canada a favor
in that it's forced the country to make some difficult choices and changes to its own economy.
Tom Perry, CBC News, Ottawa.
The U.S. President says pregnant women should not take Tylenol.
Donald Trump claims with little evidence that its use is linked to a rise in autism.
The Food and Drug Administration is now directing doctors to recommend women limit Tylenol while pregnant.
When the alternative is that nothing bad can happen, let's do it now, nothing bad can happen, it can only good happen.
You know, the way I look at it, don't take it.
There's no downside in not taking it.
The suggested link to autism is widely refuted by medical professionals who say there is no credible evidence.
Yesterday, the maker of Tylenol said it offered the safest pain reliever for pregnant women,
adding that suffering through conditions like fever without medication could be harmful to both mother and child.
Disney says Jimmy Kimmel will return to host his late night show on ABC tomorrow.
The company put Jimmy Kimmel live on an indie.
indefinite hiatus last week, following the host's remarks about the assassination of Charlie
Kirk. That led to a wave of condemnation from lawmakers and celebrities concerned about free speech
and government pressure. A statement from Disney says the decision to pause the show was made to
avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for the country.
Searchers in Alberta are optimistic as they look for a missing boy. Five-year-old Darias McDougal
has been missing since Sunday afternoon.
He was last seen walking with siblings near a campground
in the Crow's Nest Pass area on the border with BC.
Peter Alfred is with Southwest Alberta search and rescue.
The weather is in our favor.
The young man does not suffer from any health issues.
There is no reason to believe that there will not be a positive outcome.
Alfred says the terrain around the island lake campground is varied
and complicated, searchers have been using drones, dogs, and helicopters to try to locate the boy.
Changes are coming to the Canadian Football League, and CFL Commissioner Stuart Johnston promises
they will be big. We announced a significant step towards achieving our vision for the future of
the CFL with innovative landmark changes beginning next season through a phased approach.
This will mark a major evolution of our game.
The new evolution involves moving the location of the goalposts to the back of the end zones from the front.
The league is also reducing the length of the field to 100 yards. Currently, it's 110.
The size of the end zones will be standardized league-wide.
The league says the changes will make for a more entertaining game.
They'll begin next season and be fully in place in 2027.
And that is your world this hour.
For CBC News, I'm Stephanie Scandaris.
Thank you.
