France and several other nations have joined Canada in formally recognizing a Palestinian state. Mark Carney was at the United Nations speaking before his country.

Summit, focus on a two-state solution. The Prime Minister says the Palestinian right to self-determination is being erased and can no longer wait. Tom Perry has more. Sandwiched between Spain and Ireland, Mark Carney delivered Canada's address to the United Nations. Canada recognizes the state of Palestine. and we offer our full partnership in building the promise of a peaceful future for both the state of Palestine and the state of Israel. In his speech, Carney criticized both Hamas and the Israeli government for, in his words, steadily and gravely eroding the possibility of Palestinian statehood,

acknowledging Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed there will be no Palestinian state. Tom Perry, CBC News, Ottawa. Jimmy Kimmel is returning to his late-night talk show. The American TV host was pulled off the air by his network after making comments about the killing of political activist Charlie Kirk. Now, Walt Disney Company, which owns Kimmel's network, says he'll be allowed to return. Ali Shiasan has more. We have the statement from Disney. It says, quote, last Wednesday, we made the decision to succeed.

We are not privy to that.

But one has to wonder if Disney was feeling some pressure from the intense backlash. But really, all we're privy to right now is them saying that they've had a discussion with Jimmy. That was the CBC's Ali Sheeson in Toronto. The U.S. President says pregnant women should not take Tylenol. Donald Trump claims, with little evidence, that its use is linked to rise in autism. The Food and Drug Administration is now directing doctors to recommend that women limit Tylenol while pregnant.

When the alternative is that nothing bad can happen, let's do it now. Nothing bad can happen, it can only good happen. You know, the way I look at it, don't take it. There's no downside in not taking it. The suggested link to autism is widely refuted by medical professionals who say there's no credible evidence. As Canada works to decouple itself from the U.S. economically, one Canadian institution is moving closer.

For decades, the Canadian Football League has defined itself by its difference from its American cousin, a wider field, three downs, and 12 players. Now it is announcing changes that critics say will bring it more in line with the NFL. Colin Butler reports. CFL Commissioner Stuart Johnston says it's not what you think. Absolutely no percentage of these changes were made because of any type of comparison to the NFL. Starting in 2026, the CFL will move its benches to opposite sidelines, introduce a faster play clock, and tweak the rouge.

No more single point for botched field goals. Then in 2027, goalposts will be pushed to the edge of the field. The field and end zones will keep their trademark width, but the field length will be shortened from 110 yards to 100, like the NFL. Americanizes the game we're converging. Peter Dikonowski is a former CFL player. You can see that the stage is being set for further convergence with American leagues. For decades, the CFL stood apart from the NFL.
