Too many students are packed into overcrowded classrooms in Ontario schools,
and it's hurting their ability to learn.
But instead of helping our kids,
the Ford government is playing politics,
taking over school boards and silencing local voices.
It shouldn't be this way.
Tell the Ford government to get serious about tackling overcrowded classrooms
because smaller classes would make a big difference for our kids.

from cbc news the world this hour i'm kate mcgilvry canada's postal workers are on strike
it's in response to planned reforms at canada post including a move to end home delivery
picket lines began spontaneously in atlantic canada this afternoon jim gallant is a negotiator
with cupb what i see on those pictures is is members of the union reacting to a minister of
procurement that has made a drastic mistake, and we expect Canadians will get behind us.
Canadian Union of Postal workers argues Canada Post's financial situation is not as dire as
as is being represented. But Minister of Government Transformation, Joel Lightbound, said the corporation
is currently losing $10 million a day. He also said a moratorium on closing rural post offices
will be lifted. Lifting this moratorium will allow Canada Post to right-size its network to adapt to
today's demographics, but I want to be clear. Canada Post has an obligation to serve all Canadians
in every community in Canada, and that will not change. For its part, Canada Post says it
welcomes these changes. The former head of the FBI, James Comey, has been indicted. He's been charged
with false statements and obstruction of justice. Comey clashed with U.S. President Donald Trump
following the 2016 FBI investigation into Trump's relationship with Russia. U.S. Attorney General
Pam Bondi posted a statement tonight, saying the indictment
reflects the Department of Justice's commitment to holding those who abuse positions of power
accountable.

About two weeks ago, investigators announced charges against three men who allegedly helped Al-Kalil
escape from a pretrial center in Port Quitlam in July of 2022. Only two were in custody at the time,
but since then they have arrested a third man, John Potvan. Al-Kalil's daring escape from prison
involved two men posing as contractors. They drove a white Oconnelline van and helped Al-Qalekyllis.
