Too many students are packed into overcrowded classrooms in Ontario schools,
and it's hurting their ability to learn.
But instead of helping our kids, the Ford government is playing politics,
taking over school boards and silencing local voices.
It shouldn't be this way.
Tell the Ford government to get serious about tackling overcrowded classrooms
because smaller classes would make a big difference for our kids.

Prime Minister Mark Carney is starting his second official visit to the United Kingdom.
He's in London for two days of meetings with business and global leaders.
As Olivia Stefanovic reports, it's a chance for Carney to lay the groundwork for future economic and security deals.
Crime Minister Mark Carney arrived in London in the early hours Friday.
Carney is in the United Kingdom for the next two days to meet with European investors and attend the Global Progress Action Summit, a gathering of left-of-center and centrist leaders where Carney will hold a series of bilateral meetings focused on opening new markets for Canada and security coordination.
Carney will hold his first official in-person discussions with the Prime Ministers of Denmark, Iceland, Spain, and Australia.
also reconnect with UK Prime Minister Kier Starrmer for their fourth in-person meeting since
Carney took office last March. Olivia Estevanovich, CBC News, London. Canada's postal workers
are in strike. It's in response to planned reforms at Canada Post, including a move to end-home delivery
and shut down some post offices. Picket lines went up Thursday afternoon. Jim Gallant is a negotiator
with Cup W. What I see on those pictures is, is members
of the union reacting to a minister of procurement that has made a drastic mistake and we expect
Canadians will get behind us. The Canadian Union of postal workers argues Canada Post's
financial situation is not as dire as claimed. Government Transformation Minister Joel Whitebound said
the corporations losing $10 million a day. He also said a moratorium on closing rural post offices
will be lifted. Lifting this moratorium will allow Canada Post to right-size its network.
to adapt to today's demographics.
But I want to be clear, Canada Post has an obligation
to serve all Canadians in every community in Canada,
and that will not change.
Canada Post says it welcomes the changes,
but not the walkout.
One of Donald Trump's political enemies has been indicted.
Former FBI Director James Comey faces charges
related to his handling of the investigation
into connections between the U.S. President and Russia.
Eunice Haydari has more from Washington.
Comey's a bad person. He's a sick person.
Even before an indictment of James Comey came through, Donald Trump's opinion of him is clear.
He did terrible things at the FBI.
The charges relate to testimony the former FBI director gave to the U.S. Congress back in 2020,
one count of obstruction of justice and another count of making a false statement connected to the allegations Donald Trump's election campaign colluded with Russia.
We will not live on our knees.
Comey, posting on Instagram after the charges became public, saying he knows there are costs to standing up to Donald Trump.
But I have great confidence in the federal judicial system, and I'm innocent.
So let's have a trial.
These indictments come days after Donald Trump posted a message seemingly telling his attorney general they can't delay any longer,
while listing Comey and some of his other political enemies.

An escaped fugitive who's been wanted by police in being.
for three years has been arrested in Qatar. Police say Rabi Al Khalil was arrested while using a false
name. Al Khalil escaped custody while on trial for murder in Vancouver three years ago.
Police are now working with Interpol to have Al Khalil returned to BC. Immigration lawyer Richard
Curlin says that'll depend on international negotiations. The diplomatic process kicks in. The bargaining
begins. Canada cap in hand has to go to Qatar to request the return of the Canadian citizen
to face Canadian justice. Qatar is under no obligation whatsoever to comply. Curlin says that
kind of negotiation can take months or even years and will depend on what value Qatar sees
itself getting as a result of returning El Khalil. That is your world this hour. For news anytime,
