Starting point is 00:01:34 Hamas is insisting on a full Israeli withdrawal of forces before the release. Trump has mapped out a partial withdrawal. He's also told Israel to stop its air campaign. Starting point is 00:02:11 Ukrainian officials say Russia launched a massive attack overnight, sending more than 50 ballistic missiles in about 500 drones across several regions. Ukraine's president, Vladimir Zelensky, says at least five people were killed. The strikes prompted Poland and allied NATO forces to, scramble fighter jets to protect its airspace. Meanwhile, Zelensky continues to accuse Moscow of targeting civilian infrastructure. Tens of thousands of households have been left without power. Meanwhile, Russia says it destroyed 32 Ukrainian drones overnight. Well, organizers and officials have long been calling the Pacific Air Show in California a patriotic celebration. But the stars
Starting point is 00:02:53 of the show this year are what makes people's pride this side of the border. The Canadian forces snowbirds are headlining the show. They were bumped to top billing after the U.S. government shut down last week stopped military aircraft from participating in the show. Steve Futterman has the story. Thousands are coming to Southern California's Huntington Beach this weekend, and Canada has come to the rescue, specifically the Canadian snowbirds. With the U.S. in the middle of the government shutdown, the Headline Act, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, suddenly were not available. Just as quickly, the snowbirds moved up the ladder

Yesterday, with perfect Southern California weather, was day two of the air show. And the snowbirds performed flawlessly. The snowbirds are always incredible,
Starting point is 00:03:53 but some of the maneuvers that they do are so unique. If the government shutdown continues, Next week, the snowbirds are expected to be in the spotlight again as San Francisco's annual air show takes place during that city's fleet week.
