Too many students are packed into overcrowded classrooms in Ontario schools,
and it's hurting their ability to learn.
But instead of helping our kids, the Ford government is playing politics,
taking over school boards and silencing local voices.
It shouldn't be this way.

hoping it will be finalized very quickly early this week. If it doesn't, then I think the entire
higher deal becomes imperiled.

representing over 50,000 teachers.
In Edmonton, around 18,000 people have flooded the legislature grounds
to send a message to the government.

Our classroom conditions are ridiculous.
I don't have enough space for all my dust.
This has to change because our kids deserve better.
Teachers say classroom size and complexity,
coupled with too few resources and low pay are major issues.
Finance Minister Nate Horner's office tells the CBC that the recent deal is fair,
and the government has a responsibility to taxpayers to negotiate within reason.
The government says it will provide supports for families as teachers are gearing up to strike Monday.
