Too many students are packed into overcrowded classrooms in Ontario schools,
and it's hurting their ability to learn.
But instead of helping our kids, the Ford government is playing politics,
taking over school boards and silencing local voices.
It shouldn't be this way.
Tell the Ford government to get serious about tackling overcrowded classrooms
because smaller classes would make a big difference for our kids.

cbc news has learned that prime minister mark carney raised the keystone xl pipeline in his meeting
yesterday with u.s president donald trump keystone xl would move oil from northern alberta to the
american midwest but both the obama and bide administrations kept the project
from moving forward. Trump has said in the past that he wants to revive Keystone, and it's possible
Carney is prepared to use it as leverage in his tariff negotiations with the White House.
However, Canada U.S. Trade Minister Dominic LeBlanc has yet to offer any specifics about the latest
Washington talks. We talked about ways to quickly arrive at a deal that will bring a better
circumstance to both countries. Prime Minister Carney is returning to Ottawa today, but LeBlanc and
Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand will both remain in Washington with Anand scheduled to meet with Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Speaking of pipelines, BC Premier David Eby and Alberta Premier Danielle Smith remain at odds over Smith's campaign for a pipeline from the Alberta oil patch to the northern B.C. coast.
Katie de Rosa has more.
It's a spat that escalated quickly.
Last week, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith outlined her plan to get federal support.
for a proposed bitumen pipeline to British Columbia's North Coast.
Major nation-building project.
BC Premier David Eby tried to be a good neighbor,
tempering his opposition to the proposed pipeline.
But now the gloves are off.
It's not the Danielle Smith show.
It's the Canadian team.
Daniel Smith says,
Premierese comments are un-Canadian and they're unconstitutional.
Smith insists that private sector backers will build the pipeline
if Ottawa removes roadblocks,
such as the ban on tanker traffic,
BC's North Coast. Following a meeting with the Prime Minister Monday, Danielle Smith insists that Mark Carney pledged to reach an agreement on the proposed pipeline by mid-November.
David E.B., meanwhile, is calling on the PM to focus on shovel-ready projects, not what he calls a fictional pipeline.

Now to the Gaza peace talks in Egypt, where special U.S. envoy, Steve Whitkoff and Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kersner, are now at the table.
Crystal Gimancing has more from Jerusalem.
We're in very serious negotiations.
U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed the arrival of American delegates in Sharmal Shik yesterday
and expressed optimism about a deal.
I think there's a possibility that we could have peace in the Middle East, even beyond the Gaza situation.
In an effort to nudge talks along, the president's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, is also joining a team of mediators.
The prime minister of Qatar and the head of Turkey's intelligence agency,
will also take part. Those nations have leverage as they could bar or expel Hamas.
Egyptian officials have said talks are currently focused on initial steps in the plan,
ending the war, bringing aid into Gaza, returning the hostages, and releasing Palestinian prisoners.
Global leaders are encouraging all parties to seize the opportunity for peace.
Chris Dolgamancing, CBC News, Jerusalem.
Well, the Israeli military intercepted a nine-boat flotilla this morning in the Mediterranean Sea.
Activists on board are looking to break Israel's naval blockade of Gaza with the delivery of aid.
Israel is saying 145 people have been detained, including six Canadians, according to an Israeli spokesperson.
They were all taken ashore for processing and are expected to be deported.
There's been no official response at this point from Ottawa.
In New York last night, a loss for the Blue Jays.
Diving stop at third by Cataillero.
He will pull it out, and that's the ball game.
9-6, the final score for the Yankees in game three of the American League divisional playoff series.
The Jays still lead this best of five, two games to one,
and can finish off the Yankees tonight with a win in game four.
And that is the world this hour.
For CBC News, I'm Joe Cummix.
Thank you.
