and it's hurting their ability to learn.

the Ford government is playing politics,
taking over school boards and silencing local voices.

aid deliveries are being stepped up with more trucks crossing into the territory about 600 trucks a day
are expected to bring much needed food to starving palestinians but unisev says that help isn't

to allow more shipments. That aid is rolling in as part of the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire
agreement. And as that aid rolls in, the diplomacy rolls on with a summit set for tomorrow in
Cairo to work out the next phase of the Gaza peace deal. Julia Chapman reports from London.
Well, it's being billed as a signing ceremony, but the only person putting pen to paper
looks to be Donald Trump himself. Hamas is not attending. Israel is not expected to attend either,
there will be around 20 world leaders in attendance, including British Prime Minister Kirstarmer.
It's not clear yet whether Mark Carney will be there, but Canada has been invited.
And effectively, they're looking at what comes next.
Phase two, international security forces who will be helping maintain security in Gaza at the
end of this war, whether Hamas is going to disarm what a process of demilitarization looks like.
and really essentially the future governance of Gaza.
This is central to the long-term peace and stability of this region.
The peace plan envisages a transitional government of Palestinian technocrats
overseen by an international board of peace,
and the leaders are going to be working out what that might look like.

Meanwhile, Israel has released three Canadians
who were on a flotilla that was headed for Gaza,
Newfoundlanders, Devoni Ellis, Sadie Meese, and Nikke.
to Stapleton were aboard the conscience, one of nine vessels in that flotilla.
Me's aunt Vicki Axford told CBC News that they were able to speak to the family early Sunday
morning. The group Palestinian action says the trio is in Jordan right now. The earliest

Today, President Andri Rajalina said it's an illegal and forceful attempt to seize power.
Protests first broke out late last month over water and electricity shortages,
but they've expanded to include calls for a complete overhaul of the government.
Well, for the first time since 2016, the American League Championship Series,
will be played in Toronto.
Canada's baseball team is getting set to host the Seattle Mariners tonight.
It's game one of the best of seven series.
Jay's manager John Snyder says he's just told his players to do what they do best and just keep playing.
Now, the winner of the series will head to the World Series.
Tonight's game gets underway shortly after 8 o'clock Eastern time with Kevin Gosman
starting for the Jays.
The teams last met in the postseason.
in 2022 with Seattle winning the Wild Card Series after the Jays blew a big-time lead in game two at Rogers Center.
