And Prime Minister Mark Carney is among the world leaders set to gather in Egypt for Monday's summit on the next steps in this peace process.
Three Canadian activists detained by Israel earlier, or pardon me, last week have been freed and are on their way home.
The women are all from Newfoundland and are currently in Jordan, and all six Canadians were taken into custody after the Israeli military intercepted their Gaza-bound aid boat.
The CBC's Linda Ward has more.
relief that Sadie and Nikita and Dev have been released from, you know, a desert prison.
Vicki Axford's niece, Sadie Meese, is on her way home to Newfoundland.
She, Devonialis and Nikita Stapleton were part of a nine-boat flotilla intercepted on Wednesday in the Mediterranean Sea.
They were the last three of six Canadians released from Israeli detention and deported.
They called their parents from an embassy phone very early this morning and then continued their journey.
That was when they crossed the border over into Jordan
and then they continued their journey onto Amin.
They're expected home on Tuesday.
The first three released are now either home or en route.
Indigenous rights activist Misquhasa and Agnew
landed in Toronto's Pearson Airport yesterday.
Montreal Dr. Nima Mashuf and Karam Musti Khan from Milton, Ontario
are flying back from Istanbul today.
Linda Ward, CBC News, Toronto.
There were clashes on the Afghan-Pakistan border last night.
Kabul says 58 Pakistani soldiers were killed in this confrontation,
while Islamabad has confirmed 23 casualties.
Following mediation from Qatar and Saudi Arabia,
Afghanistan's foreign minister says the situation is now under control.
He says the attacks are in response to repeated violations of Afghanistan's territory.
Pakistani leaders have accused Afghanistan of harboring a militant group
that has carried out deadly attacks inside Pakistan.
And China's ambassador to Canada has some advice for Ottawa
on what it will take to get Beijing to remove tariffs
on Canadian agricultural products like canola.
Wang Di spoke through a translator on CTV's question period.
If the EV tariffs are removed, then China will also remove the tariffs
on the relevant products of Canada.
The Trudeau government put 100% tariffs on Chinese eVs.
last October, following the U.S. decision to do the same.
In response, China levied a number of tariffs on Canadian agricultural goods,
including 100% tariffs on canola oil and canola meal.
Manitoba Premier Wab Canoe is calling on the Prime Minister to lift that EV tariff,
saying that every day it remains, it hurts prairie producers.
And that is your world this hour.
For CBC News, I'm Kate McGilfrey.
Thank you.
