The mayor of Brampton, Ontario says Stalantis is being bullied by the Trump administration.
The global automaker announced plans to move its production of the Jeep Compass from the Toronto area to the U.S.
Solantis says none of the 3,000 workers at the Brampton plant will lose their jobs.
Thomas Dagla has more.

Stalanta's chief executive Antonio Philosa went on CNBC to highlight the auto manufacturer's moves to create jobs in the U.S.
We share with President Trump his goal to have again manufacturing system in automotive very strong in the U.S.
Left unsaid in that interview, the impact on the Stalantus plant in Brampton, Ontario.
The company says in a statement its moving production of its Jeep compass to Illinois, even though its Brampton operation had been temporary.

We're disappointed that they would be bullied by the Trump administration. I thought there would be a
greater obligation and loyalty to Canada. The Brampton plant had 3,000 employees before all were laid off

There is a political sea change in Newfoundland and Labrador. A win by the progressive conservatives
has put an end to a decade-long liberal government.
PC leader Tony Wakeham told CBC his priorities will be health care,
lowering taxes, and more funding for police.
And he says he'll order a new assessment and a referendum
on the multi-billion-dollar Churchill Falls' hydroelectric deal with Quebec.
Before I sign off in any more 50-year deals or beyond,
I'm going to make sure that we get it right.

The Memorandum of Understanding with Quebec was inked by the previous Liberal government.
Quebec's Premier Francois Legoe insists the deal benefits both provinces.
A man convicted of murdering his Canadian girlfriend in a hot tub
has been sentenced to at least 25 years in prison.
Claire Levec died last year in the Shetland Islands of Scotland.
In 2023, the Edmonton resident traveled to the remote islands with R.N. Pearson.
He's also Canadian with family ties to the UK.
During the trial, he admitted to stabbing the 24-year-old Levec
dozens of times then drowning her.
The conviction comes with an automatic life sentence
and no parole for at least 25 years.
The ease of getting a vaccine depends on where you live.
A national advocacy group for seniors
has found vast differences in access
between provinces and territories.

I'm very much pro-preventive health care.
I've seen the repercussions of people that haven't taken care of themselves.
For many seniors, Nova Scotia covers COVID, flu, shingles, and RSV vaccines.
The advocacy organization, Cannage, just released a report card on vaccines for seniors.
It suggests Atlantic provinces have made big strides in this area.
But some western provinces and territories have gaps in shingles and RSV coverage.
and Alberta and Quebec lost points for introducing a charge for COVID-19 vaccines this year.
Laura Tamplin Watts of Can Age says vaccines can help ease pressure on the health care system.
Putting adult vaccination to the fore is the cheapest and most effective thing you can do to relieve that strain.
Tamblin Watts encourages provinces to expand coverage and seniors to get their shots, starting now.

Israel says the Red Cross is on its way to pick up the bodies of several more Israeli hostages
in Gaza. There are still around 20 bodies that have yet to be returned. Hamas now says a lot of effort
and special equipment will be needed to find and recover the remaining hostages. The initial
ceasefire agreement had appeared to acknowledge their remains may not be immediately recovered.
The UN says about 84% of Gaza is destroyed and much of it is buried under millions of tons of rubble.
