Starting point is 00:00:44 and he has a warning for the Palestinian militant group we want the weapons to be given up sacrificed and they've agreed to do it now they have to do it and if they don't do it will do it but trump is vague about what happens if Hamas won't give up its weapons only saying that the U.S. military won't be needed. The ceasefire deal that Israel and Hamas agreed to requires Israel to gradually pull its troops out of Gaza and for Hamas to disarm. Another sticking point is the return of Israeli hostage bodies. Hamas says it can't locate all the bodies of hostages who died in captivity. Canada's federal, provincial, and territorial health ministers are gathering in Calgary. They're taking stock of the country's health care systems and what
Starting point is 00:01:29 needs urgent attention. Christine Birak has more. We are moving to a narrative of hope. Danielle Martin is a family doctor in Toronto. Ontario is promising to connect everyone with a family doc within four years. As Canada's health ministers meet face-to-face in Calgary, Dr. Martin says it's an opportunity to learn from one another and do big things. A real pharmacare program one that covers essential medicines for all Canadians. Alberta's health minister didn't provide an agenda for the meeting, but health care work. workforce issues are top of mind. Doctors and nurses are pushing for safer workplaces and the ability to work across provinces
Starting point is 00:02:06 without needing a new license each time. Rita McCracken is a family doctor in BC. She says provinces paying into for-profit clinics is also impacting workforce shortages. Increasing access to private options is not going to solve the problem. She hopes health ministers will discuss evidence-based ideas for improving the system, ideas that push toward lasting improvements for patients and providers. Christine Beirak, CBC News, Toronto. It's a growing trend in some of Canada's largest cities.
Starting point is 00:02:37 More and more young families deciding to leave urban life for the country. Sarah Levitt has more. We're going to have the nice mudroom. Walking into his brand new home under construction, Elia Tuma says he's ready for the big move. He used to live in Montreal, but now alongside his girlfriend, They're building their dream home in St. Sever, about an hour out of the city. As a real estate agent, he says there's a reoccurring theme for why people are leaving the city for country life.
Starting point is 00:03:05 Affordability. In many cases, you can have a house for the price of a two-bedroom condo in Montreal. More and more families are leaving Montreal. According to the Statistics Institute of Quebec, more than 120,000 Montrealers are projected to move to other regions in the province by 2030. The shifting demographics do come with growing pains, though. Certain towns have halted development permits because current water and sewage infrastructures can't handle that many residents. Dumas says, though, they're catching up, and he encourages others to try out the country. Sarajevovett's CBC News, Saint-Sauvert. George Springer, Alejandro Kirk, Andre Jimenez, and Addison Barger also homered on a cool night in Seattle in front of a crowd that included many Blue Jay fans and all the Jay's had 18 hits in a 13-4 victory. Coupled with six strong innings from starter Shane Bieber that included eight strikeouts. The Jays now find themselves back in the American League Championship Series trailing 2-1 heading into game 4 Thursday.
