Indian media is reporting the Bishnoi gang, an Indian criminal enterprise tied to the extortion of a number of BC businesses in primarily South Asian communities, has claimed responsibility in a social media post. Surrey police say it is too soon to know if those claims are accurate, and that there have been 65 extortion-related cases with 35 associated shootings so far this year.
