offered the promise of high-powered american help for ukraine and the hope of some insight into the
u.s president's next move with russia but after their latest face-to-face selensky may be leaving
washington empty-handed paul hunter reports i'm confident that with your help we can stop this war
So what does, with your help, mean the expectation on Zelensky's ask?
American-made Tomahawk cruise missiles, weaponry that could strike deep inside Russia, including even Moscow.
Force!
As the fighting continues in Ukraine, Tomahawks are seen by many as a potential game-changer in the war,
though Russian President Vladimir Putin has already made clear giving Tomahawks to Ukraine
would be seen as a major escalation.
Zelensky's view?
We understand what we need to push Putin to negotiation table.
But Trump didn't offer up any weaponry to Zelensky, at least not publicly.
Would much rather have them not need Tomahawks.
Would much rather have the war be over.
Trump posted on truth social afterward that the meeting was interesting, cordial,
but that both sides should just stop fighting and both claim victory.

The Jays managed to take games three and four in Seattle but lost game five tonight.
As Jamie Strasson reports, the series now heads back to Toronto for game six on Sunday.
After the disappointment of losing the first two games of this American League championship series at home,
the Blue Jays knew they had to come to Seattle and win two of three games if they wanted their season to continue.
They won games three and four convincingly, and for a moment,
they looked like they were on their way to winning all three in Seattle.
Then the eighth inning happened, with the Jay's leading 2-1, Toronto's bullpen imploded,
giving up two home runs, including a Grand Slam.
And just like that, Seattle led 6-2, sending Mariners fans into a frenzy
and quieting the thousands of Blue Jay fans sprinkled throughout the stands.
This series now goes back to Toronto for game 6 on Sunday.
A Blue Jay's win means game 7 on Monday.
A Seattle win would send the Mariners to their first world series,
In franchise history.
