The Jays managed to take games three and four in Seattle, but lost game five tonight. As Jamie Strachan reports, the series now heads back to Toronto for game six on Sunday. After the disappointment of losing the first two games of this American League championship series at home, the Blue Jays knew they had to come to Seattle and win two of three games if they wanted their season to continue. They won games three and four convincingly, and for a moment, they looked like they were on their way to winning all three in Seattle. Then the eighth inning happened, with the Jays leading to one, Toronto's bullpen imploded,
Starting point is 00:02:49 giving up two home runs, including a grand slam. and just like that, Seattle led 6-2, sending Mariners fans into a frenzy and quieting the thousands of Blue Jay fans sprinkled throughout the stands. If, unfortunately, the Blue Jays happened to make the World Series, I'll certainly be cheering for the Dodgers or Brewers. Noah Seidel? Not a fan of the Blue Jays. The Montrealer is a big baseball fan, but he has love for only one team, the Montreal Expos. Chearing for the Jays just because they're the only Canadian team in the league?
Starting point is 00:03:48 Nah. I sort of resent the imposition of Blue Jays fandom on the entire country simply because they happen to be the team from Canada. Seidel holds a grudge. Chuck Cohen also loved the Expos.
