president donald trump says he's going to raise tariffs already imposed on canadian goods and services because of the ontario anti-tariff ads that are running during this weekend's world series games mike crawley has the latest donald trump's announcement comes in a social media post from air force one The 200-word post falsely claims former President Ronald Reagan loved tariffs and calls the Ontario ad, which uses Reagan's own words, a fraud. Trump says, quote, because of their serious misrepresentation of the facts and hostile act, I am increasing the tariff on Canada by 10% over and above what they are paying now. Trump has imposed multiple tariffs on Canadian exports, and his post does not say which of them. is increasing. CBC News has asked the White House for clarification and asked Canadian government officials if they've received any formal notification. Trump made the post Saturday while traveling
