From CBC News, the world this hour. I'm Mike Miles.
Both Prime Minister Mark Carney and U.S. President Donald Trump are in Malaysia for a summit,
but they're not on the same page when it comes to cross-border trade.
An angry Trump saying yesterday, he's going to impose an additional 10% tariff on Canada.
David Thurton has reaction from Ottawa.
Yeah, I'll just make a few comments.
Prime Minister Mark Carney oversees in Malaysia responding to the latest escalation in trade talks with the U.S.
Donald Trump angry about an anti-tariff ad from the Ontario government that aired in the U.S.
announcing a 10% tariff on Canadian goods and services.
Carney seemingly sending a message to premiers like Ontario's Doug Ford.
It is the sole responsibility of the government of Canada to have those discussions with the United States.
One White House official U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Besant called Ontario's ad propaganda.
The Premier of Ontario seems to have come off the rails a little.
He has taken the ads down, but what's the purpose of that other than to try to sway U.S. public opinion?
Pressed about the additional 10% tariff, Bissent couldn't say whether it would apply to specific sectors or cross the board.

Specialized teams from the Red Cross in Egypt had been allowed into Gaza to help with the search for the bodies of deceased Israeli hostages.
Shosh Bedrosian is an Israeli government spokesperson.
The team is using between two to three excavator machines and two to three trucks to search for our deceased hostages.
Now, the Red Cross and the Egyptian team are allowed entry beyond the IDF's yellow line position into Gaza territory to conduct the search for our hostages.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces say they carried out what they call a targeted strike on an individual in central Gaza.
They accuse the person of planning to attack Israeli forces in the occupied territory.

to the fact that we were going to be stuck in a hurricane. Hurricane Melissa is expected to make
landfall in Jamaica late Monday or early Tuesday, passed near Cuba late Tuesday, and the Bahamas
on Wednesday. French police have made arrests in connection with the brazen jewelry heist at the Louvre,
and the Paris prosecutor says one of them was about to leave the country. Dominic Volaitis has the
latest. According to French media, two men in their 30s were detained on Saturday evening. It's
believed one of them was preparing to fly to Algeria from Charles de Gaul Airport when he was
arrested. The men who were said to be from Paris are now being questioned about last weekend's
audacious robbery at the Louvre. A number of France's crown jewels were taken after four thieves
raided the world-famous museum in broad daylight. There's no indication if any of the stolen
items, said to be worth more than a hundred and forty million dollars Canadian, have been
recovered. French prosecutors, meanwhile, are remaining tight-lipped about the arrests and are
refusing to say if others have been detained in connection with the heist. Dominic Vleitus for
News. Bristol, England. The BC General Employees Union says it has reached a tentative agreement
with the province ending an eight-week strike involving more than 25,000 public service workers.
The union says the deal addresses wages, affordability, and respect for frontline public service
