Meanwhile, in Jamaica, emergency officials are in the process of evaluating the damage from Melissa's arrival yesterday afternoon. No details at this point regarding fatalities, but we do know that damage is extensive. Melissa made land as a Category 5 storm, swamping coastal communities and knocking out power.

But the meeting has made many Taiwanese nervous, concerned Trump might trade away the island's security as part of that deal. Taiwan-U-S relations are very stable, said Taiwan's foreign minister, Lin-Chai Lai trying to quell some of the anxiety. By law, the U.S. is bound to give Taiwan weapons to help it defend itself, but Trump has been vague if the United States would actually come to Taiwan's aid
