This ascent isn't for everyone.
You need grit to climb this high this often.
You've got to be an underdog that always over-delivers.
You've got to be 6,500 hospital staff, 1,000 doctors,
all doing so much with so little.
You've got to be Scarborough.
Defined by our uphill battle and always striving towards new heights.
And you can help us keep climbing.

blue jay fans your world series dream is alive and well
and the blue jays come into l a day take two out of three here beating them tonight six
to one and they're up three games to two in the world series again six won the final score last
night for the Blue Jays behind yet another remarkable pitching performance by rookie Trey Yassavich.
The 22-year-old struck out 12 Dodgers over seven innings of work, and the Jays now just one
victory away from winning the World Series. The two teams are back now in Toronto with game six
set for tomorrow night at Rogers Center. Ahead of tomorrow's opening of the Apex Summit,
Prime Minister Mark Carney is in South Korea. And today, among other items on his agenda,
he was shopping for submarines.
Brewster reports.
The Prime Minister was given a tour of a brand new KSS3 submarine, built for the Korean Navy,
launched a few days ago, the kind Hanwa Ocean wants to sell to Canada.
The company has been fairly aggressive.
It got to be one of the two preferred bidders by submitting a detailed $20 to $24 billion unsolicited
proposal to the federal government just before last spring's election.
South Korea put political weight behind the bid.
The country's Prime Minister accompanied Mark Carney on the visit to the sprawling naval
facility. There's one submarine in the water and today it was flying a Canadian flag. Another is up
on the skids in a construction shed. It's a not so subtle demonstration by the Koreans that their
production lines are active and they can deliver four submarines to Canada by 2035. The Navy's
deadline to retire the old Victoria-class boats. Carnegie's visit is also significant because it's a sign
the federal government wants to move swiftly towards a decision. Marie Brewster, CBC News,
Koje, South Korea.
Donald Trump was also in South Korea today, meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
We've already agreed to a lot of things, and we'll agree to some more right now.
But President Xi is a great leader of a great country, and I think we're going to have a fantastic
relationship for a long period of time.
Trump says he'll be lowering some of his tariffs on China, but in some cases they will still
be at more than 45%.
Here is the Chinese president speaking through an interpreter.
Given our different national conditions, we do not always see eye to eye with each other.
And it is normal for the two leading economies of the world to have frictions now and then.
As for TikTok, there were reports the two leaders would be finalizing a deal today
that would see the platform move from Chinese to American ownership.
But nothing has been announced.
The latest figures are showing Canada's tourism industry is coming off a record-breaking summer.
Hotels, attractions, and tour operators all had their busiest season ever, with revenues hitting an all-time high.
Kyle Bax has more.
Brent Coinberg can finally catch his breath.
He offers travelers guided ATV and other tours through the mountains in southwest Alberta.
The tourism in the summer was really good for me.
Business was booming, quadruple the number of customers, nearly half or international.
He's not alone, as it was a banner year across the country.
New figures from Destination Canada estimate record high revenue for the tourism industry this past summer, nearly $60 billion.
Up 6% compared to last year.
For Coinberg, it exceeded expectations.
It was unbelievable.
I got a lot of families booked for next year already.
Not only were more Canadians spending their travel dollars within the country, but revenue by international.
Travelers was also up.

Another five suspects have been arrested in connection to this month's heist at the Louvre in Paris.
Two other arrests were made earlier this week with police saying those suspects admit they were at least partially involved in the robbery.
More than $100 million worth of jewelry was stolen in the early morning break-in, but as of today, the jewels still have not been recovered.
And that is the world this hour.
For CBC News, I'm Joe Cummings.
