The Jays on the wrong end of a crushing 5-4 extra inning loss to Los Angeles Dodgers who captured their second consecutive World Series. The game like this entire season was an emotional roller coaster ride that captivated those lucky enough to be inside and fans watching across the country. The Jays sprinted out to a 3-0 lead after a hobbled Boba Chet.

The game seesawed back and forth and the Jays had a one-run lead going into the ninth inning and were two outs away from the team's first world championship since 1993. But it wasn't meant to be. The Dodgers hit a game-tying home run and in extra innings both teams had glorious chances to score before Dodgers catcher Will Smith hit a go-ahead home run in the 11th inning. Jamie Strash in CBC News, Toronto. As Canadians prepare for Tuesday's federal budget, analysts predict the deficit will be large, but so too might be spending cuts. Karina Roman has more from Ottawa. The Business Council of Canada's Theo Arjita says there are high expectations for Tuesday's budget.

But with the deficit expected to be in the 70 to 100 billion dollars, range and cuts of up to 15% in some departments, the minority liberal government might struggle to find a political partner to help pass the budget.
