This ascent isn't for everyone.
You need grit to climb this high this often.
You've got to be an underdog that always over-delivers.
You've got to be 6,500 hospital staff, 1,000 doctors,
all doing so much with so little.
You've got to be Scarborough.
Defined by our uphill battle and always striving towards new heights.
And you can help us keep climbing.

From CBC News, the world this hour. I'm Mike Miles. Thanks to pepper spray and a bear banger,
a group of teachers in BC are being praised as heroes after they fought to protect their students
during a grizzly bear attack. As Pinky Wong reports, the bill, the bear rather, still hasn't been
found. Been a hard 24 hours for our nation. Samuel Schooner is the elected chief counselor of the new
Huck Nation. He says a group of around 20 students and their teachers were on an afternoon
trip when a grizzly attacked, adding the teachers used pepper spray and their bangers to fight
the animal off.
Pass with making the ultimate decision of life and death that they chose to lay their lives
on the line for the students. Officials say three children and one adult are seriously
injured and remain in hospital. Patients were transferred from Balakula Hospital to Vancouver. BC
The Conservation Officer Service Inspector Kevin Van Damme says eight officers are deployed to bail a cooler to capture the bear.
We really need to stress how dangerous this situation is with this bear at large.
And we need to keep people away from the four-mile area.
He says cameras have been ensured in the area as well as traps in hopes of capturing the grizzly.

Firebranded Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green says she is resigning.
She was one of Donald Trump's most loyal.
loyal supporters, but she has opposed him on several issues. Most notably, the Jeffrey Epstein
files. Standing up for American women who were raped at 14 years old, trafficked in use by rich,
powerful men should not result in me being called a traitor and threatened by the president
of the United States whom I fought for. Last week, Trump branded her Marjorie Traitor Green,
after her criticism of his attention to international matters like Gaza and Ukraine, rather than
the America First Agenda he campaigned on.
Other divisive issues included rising inflation and health care subsidies.
The Canadian Union of Postal workers is ending rotating strikes.
That comes after it reached an agreement in principle with Canada Post.
The two sides have agreed to the main points of a deal,
but still have to work out exact language before workers get to vote on it.
The rotating strikes have been going for more than a month,
the negotiations for more than two years.
All this comes the same day Canada Post announced a loss
of over half a billion dollars in the third quarter, the largest quarterly loss in its history.
BC Premier David Eby has told senior members, excuse me, senior ministers in Ottawa that any
discussions of a new oil pipeline need to include the province.
He says the message is now being passed along to the Prime Minister.
As Amelia John reports, it comes as the federal and Alberta governments are reportedly
close to signing deal that would allow some tanker traffic off BC's north coast.
Premier David Eby has been talking with Alberta officials about their push for more access to global markets,
but says he's challenged by their approach following reports that a memorandum of understanding was in the works with Ottawa
to build a new pipeline to BC's North Coast.
My sincere hope is that Ottawa recognizes both the jurisdiction of British Columbia and also the common sense that you might want to check with the locals if you're discussing policy in their province.
says there isn't a project to justify removing an oil tanker ban, but he's open to expanding
capacity of the existing Transmountain Pipeline.
We're good team players on Team Canada, and we're willing to do what we can to support an expansion
project if it's needed.
Mark Carney is currently in South Africa for the G20 Summit.
But Eby says he's been assured his message to include B.C. and any pipeline negotiations
has been passed along to the Prime Minister.

Swedish aircraft manufacturer Saab says it won't build a fighter jet hub in Canada
unless Ottawa buys its grip in aircraft.
CEO Mikhail Johansson says investing here without the Canadian military flying the plane
doesn't make sense, despite promising up to 10,000 jobs.
Ottawa entered into discussions with Saab following the launch of a review of its $19 billion F-35 deal.
And that is The World This Hour.
For CBC News, I'm Mike Miles.
Thank you.
