This ascent isn't for everyone.
You need grit to climb this high this often.
You've got to be an underdog that always over-delivers.
You've got to be 6,500 hospital staff, 1,000 doctors,
all doing so much with so little.
You've got to be Scarborough.
Defined by our uphill battle and always striving towards new heights.
And you can help us keep climbing.

the search continues in california for the suspect or suspects wanted in connection with a
weekend mass shooting four people including three children were killed in what police are calling
a targeted shooting at a child's birthday party steve fudderman reports
We do not have anyone in custody at this time.
24 hours after the deadly mass shooting, the shock hasn't worn off.
Patrick Withrow, the sheriff of San Joaquin County, gave details of the four people killed.
The ages are from 8, 9, 14, and 21.
He says the shooting does appear to have been intentional.
We're confident that this was not a random act.
They walked into this area and was probably looking for somebody in particular.
The mayor of Stockton, Christina Fugazi, says she still can't believe something like this took place at a child's birthday party.
I can't imagine a parent burying their child when they should be making their Christmas list.
At the Stockton church last night, a special service was held.
We come before you, God pray.
The mayor says the killings could be gang-related, and there are unconfirmed reports that a popular local rap artist may have been attending the party.

President Nicholas Maduro is back in public after days of speculation about whether he has fled Venezuela.
That is state television showing Maduro in Medanda yesterday, celebrating his country's coffee sector.
Maduro says it has flourished despite international sanctions and threats.
He made his appearance just moments after U.S. President Donald.
Donald Trump confirmed the two leaders had spoken by telephone.
I wouldn't say it went well or badly.
It was a phone call.
Trump also defended his Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.
He is denying reports that Hegseth ordered a second strike
after two people survived a U.S. military attack on a boat in the Caribbean Sea in September.
Democrat Senator Tim Kaine is saying that could be a clear violation of the law.
This rises to the level of a war crime.
it's true. Both Republicans and Democrats are now demanding closer scrutiny of that strike and others
that have killed dozens of alleged drug smugglers off the coast of Venezuela. Hong Kong officials
have announced this morning that their investigation into last week's inferno that killed at least
150 people has revealed netting that covered scaffolding used in renovations was not up to fire safety
codes. Hong Kong's chief secretary is saying of the 20 netting samples collected from the
area seven failed safety standards, and it's alleged that contractors skimp to make greater
profits. Today is World AIDS Day. It started back in 1988 to raise awareness of a rapidly
growing pandemic, but in recent years, advances in preventative medicine have dramatically
reduced infections and deaths. But health officials are warning this success is coming with
a potentially dangerous cost. Philip Lyshanik has more.
HIV's visibility has changed.
LISC says the AIDS Committee of Toronto is closing its doors in the new year due to lack
of funding. He says HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis or prep has proven effective in preventing
sexually acquired infection. It prevents the transmission of HIV. So that was a significant
biomedical advancement. Internationally, countries have also been slashing funding for HIV-AIDS
programs. The United States, which accounts for three quarters of that funding, ended all foreign
assistance, including to UN AIDS. UN AIDS says the cuts could mean 3.3 million additional new
infections by 2030. Dr. Julio Mantaner is head of the B.C. Center for Excellence in HIV
AIDS in Vancouver. Unfortunately, most of the G7 countries, including Canada, have decided to
roll back their funding. This is a catastrophe. Filtly-Shannock, CBC News, Toronto. And that is
