This ascent isn't for everyone.
You need grit to climb this high this often.
You've got to be an underdog that always over-delivers.
You've got to be 6,500 hospital staff, 1,000 doctors,
all doing so much with so little.
You've got to be Scarborough.
Defined by our uphill battle and always striving towards new heights.
And you can help us keep climbing.

What a terrible thing it is.

In BC's lower mainland, floodwaters are gradually dropping,
but hundreds of people in the Fraser Valley remain out of their homes,
and the forecast shows more heavy rain on the way.
Tenia Fletcher has more.
It is another atmospheric river.
It's poised to drench southern BC,
but like last week, the bullseye is expected to hit just across the border.
in Washington State. Still, it'll mean even more rain on an already
oversaturated area. Here, local rivers are again expected to swell
and cause localized flooding, but flows are expected to be less
severe this time around. The current floodwaters are gradually
receding. That's the good news. But a portion of Highway 1 is still closed.
And Abbotsford Police put out a video today with a warning for drivers.
Please don't drive around barriers. Last night,
we had two individual drivers that decided.
to drive around road closure points and essentially sink their vehicles into the water,
requiring them to be rescued.
Crews are determining whether an evacuated property is safe to reenter,
but as it stands, more than 450 properties are under evacuation order still
and more than 1,000 others are on alert.
Tanya Fletcher, CBC News, Vancouver.
Family doctors in Quebec have seen the details of a new deal between their Federation and the province.
MDs were upset with the new law Bill 2,
The revised deal drops the penalties for doctors who don't meet performance targets set by the province
and reduces requirements that doctors increase the number of patients they see.
Dr. Melanie Lacasse is a family physician in Gatineau.
I think everybody's going to be relieved because their stress was not only on the physician,
but it was on our staff at the clinic on the other healthcare professional as well.
And for the patient, because some of them, they were worried that they would lose their family,
physician. Family doctors have until next Friday to vote on the deal. And staying in Quebec,
provincial officials have ordered Mount St. Anne to indefinitely shut down three chairlifts. An inspection
last week showed problems with the electrical system that could constitute a danger to the
public. The ski resort had planned to open this weekend after closing last week due to similar
problems. It says it's being experiencing issues since an outage on November 28th. And that is your
world this hour. I'm Wayne Tobito.
Thank you.
