Vladimir Zelensky says he spoke with top U.S. officials about ways to end the war with Russia. The conversation comes after Ukraine presented its own draft peace plan earlier this week. Rescues and evacuations continue in Southern California, battered by heavy rains in flooding. Officials have declared a state of emergency for several counties, and they say about 8 million people are at risk. Steve Utterman reports from L.A.
