This ascent isn't for everyone.
You need grit to climb this high this often.
You've got to be an underdog that always over-delivers.
You've got to be 6,500 hospital staff, 1,000 doctors,
all doing so much with so little.
You've got to be Scarborough.
Defined by our uphill battle and always striving towards new heights.
And you can help us keep climbing.

We begin with breaking news from Southeast Asia, with Thailand and Cambodia signing a new ceasefire
agreement to stop the fighting along their border.
That's Cambodia's defense minister announcing the truth taking effect at Saturday noon
local time. That's one hour ago. The agreement calls for an
to military action by each side and no violation of each other's airspace.
More than 100 people have been killed in the latest round of clashes, which began more than
three weeks ago. Thailand and Cambodia have contested ownership of lands along the border
for more than a century.
It's been another restless night in Kiev.
Officials say the Ukrainian capital was under mass Russian attack.
That bombardment coming as President Vladimir Zelensky is planning an in-person meeting
Sunday with U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss ways of ending the war. He says the agenda will
include security guarantees and discussions about territory. John Northcott now with more.
Announcing that he had spoken on Christmas Day to Trump's special envoy, Steve Whitkoff,
and the president's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, Zelensky said, quote, we are not losing a single day,
adding a lot can be decided before the new year. Zelanski said later that he will be meeting with Trump on Sunday,
No official word from the U.S. administration yet, but some reports, including from Ukrainian
media, suggests Zelensky could travel to Florida for a meeting at Mara Lago with Trump.
And now there's word that senior Russian officials have spoken to their U.S. counterparts.
Meanwhile, the war continues with Ukraine using British-supplied storm shadow missiles to strike
a major Russian oil and gas facility, and overnight Russian drones damaged foreign vessels
in the Ukrainian port city of Odessa.

We're incredibly swamped right now with lots of trees down on electrical wires on homes.
The freezing rain started in the morning and kept going into the late afternoon stretching from Kitchener to Windsor.
By the time it stopped, thousands of people across southwestern Ontario were in the dark.
The number of power outages continued to climb Friday night as more trees cracked.

until Sunday. Angela McKinnis, CBC News, London, Ontario.
