Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump
was very productive.
The two met today at the President's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
A main topic was the U.S. brokered peace deal in Gaza.
J.P. Tasker has more.
U.S. President Donald Trump says he has worked out some lingering bilateral issues
with his Israeli counterpart, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
But what hasn't been decided is when Israel will pull back from Gaza.
Under the peace deal, Trump brokered in October,
a neutral board of peace was supposed to take over after the Israeli hostages were released.
While batting away a question about when exactly Israel will withdraw its forces,
Trump came down hard on Hamas, saying they need to disarm quickly or else.
It's going to be really, really bad for them.
And I don't want that to happen, but they made an agreement that they were going to disarm.
He says peace in the Middle East depends on it.

Moscow says it's revising its position in Russia-Ukraine peace talks
after Russia's foreign minister accused Ukraine of targeting one of President Vladimir Putin's residences today.
Ross Cullen reports.
Well, the Ukrainian president has denied that Ukrainian armed forces targeted the House in the Novgorod region of Russia
of President Vladimir Putin.
The Russian foreign minister says that is exactly what happened.
All 91 incoming Ukrainian drones were shot down
and as a result, the Kremlin's negotiating position will now change
and targets have been selected inside Ukraine for retaliatory strikes.
The Ukrainian presidency saying that could include government buildings.
President Vladimir Zelensky says the claims by Russia are fabricated
in an example of lies that Moscow is telling to try to influence the peace process.
All of this comes just one day after.
and Donald Trump held face-to-face talks in Florida about the peace process
and trying to advance the 20-point peace plan.

A winter storm with high winds and blowing snow is hitting Ontario and Quebec,
leaving thousands without power.
In some areas, freezing rain is coating sidewalks, trees, and power lines with ice.
Colin Butler has the details.
John Broulet loads up on salt at a Canadian tire in Ottawa,
ready for sidewalks and driveway.
So the ice, basically.
This is probably going to be the rest of the years to fly.
In Ontario, winter warnings stretch from Windsor through the GTA.
In Toronto, ice pellets and snow could pile up to 12 centimeters.
In the province's north, there are whiteout conditions and totals could reach 20 centimeters.
Ryan Peelon is with Tim and snow removal.
He's been clearing snow since 2 a.m.
I grew up here in my whole life and I've maybe seen a storm months or twice like this.
stuff. This is pretty bad. In Quebec, Montreal, Utaway, and the eastern townships could see
15 millimeters of ice before the freezing rain tapers off, but then 90-kilometer an hour winds.
Airports are seeing a host of delays and cancellations as the storm moves east. It's clear. Winter
is here to stay, and it's only the opening act. Colin Butler, CBC News, London, Ontario.
There's a state of emergency at the Cross Lake Reserve in central Manitoba because of a downed
hydro line, the chief of Pima Chickamaicamac Cree Nation, says power has been cut to homes and critical
infrastructure. Chief David Mnayas is asking for government assistance as the First Nation sets
up warming centers. Some residents may have to be sent to hotels in Thompson.
Canada is hoping for win number three as it meets Denmark tonight at the World Junior Championship
in Minnesota. The Canadians beat the Danes 13-2 in a pre-tournament game, but defenseman
Kayshan Aitchison isn't taking anything for granted.
We kind of just don't even think about that, and we just move forward.
Obviously, you can beat a team 20-0.
If you lose in the preliminary games, what does that matter?
So we take every game like it's our last, and we know that every game is just as important as another.
Game time is 8.30 Eastern.
And that is your world this hour.
For CBC News, I'm Karen Howerluck.
Thank you.
