This ascent isn't for everyone.
You need grit to climb this high this often.
You've got to be an underdog that always over-delivers.
You've got to be 6,500 hospital staff, 1,000 doctors,
all doing so much with so little.
You've got to be Scarborough.
Defined by our uphill battle and always striving towards new heights.
And you can help us keep climbing.

During the pandemic, the federal program to give Canadians financial help was fast but flawed.
Billions of dollars in COVID benefits were handed out to recipients,
who were later found to be ineligible.
Now almost three years on,
more than $10 billion is still owed back
to the Canada Revenue Agency.
Jamie Strassion has more.
I was stunned. I could not believe it.
Patrick Massey thought the money he received during COVID
was long in the past.
During the worst days of the pandemic,
Massey along with hundreds of thousands of Canadians,
applied for the Canadian Emergency Response Benefit,
or Serb.
According to the federal government,
Massey was not eligible for the Serb money and is now being asked to repay nearly $30,000.
He's far from a loan.
In fact, the Canadian Revenue Agency says since 2022 it has been trying to collect nearly $14 billion in benefits.
Insolvency trustee Blair Manton says people have a right to appeal.
And in general, the CRA has been willing to work with people.
But that's changing.
We're certainly seeing bank account freezes now.
We're seeing garnisies.
But this isn't a problem.
them that will just go away. Blair Manton says there is no statute of limitations on this debt
and warns the longer you wait to find a resolution, the more severe the impact will be.
Jamie Strash and CBC News, Toronto.

last night.
For McKenna, the consensus first overall pick at next summer's NHL entry draft.
the big night in victory were especially rewarding with loved ones in the building.
It's a long ways from home wherever I usually play.
So whenever you got some Eukonners in the building and especially my family,
it's that little bit more motivation for me to play my heart out and do it for them.
Canada's next game comes New Year's Eve against Finland.
And that is your world this hour.
For CBC News, I'm Claude Fagg.
