RCMP say one person was killed and three others injured on Big Island Lake Cree Nation near the Alberta border.
Inspector Ashley St. Germain says police are still searching for two suspects.
We are continuing to investigate to try to,
narrow down who our suspects are and where they might be.
And that's where it's extremely important for the public to provide any information that
they might have to help us determine the direction the investigation is going and identify
those suspects.
Residents have been told to stay in a safe location and lock their doors.
Emergency officials in BC say flooding from extreme weather has washed out some roads on
Hyde-Guai.
Residents are being told to avoid any backroads or non-essential travel.
Catherine Garrett has more.
Over the last 48 hours, an atmospheric river rushed into the island,
washing out a portion of this road and isolating both sides from each other.

jungle beach. We are still waiting on more updates from authorities as to when this will
reopen. Catherine Garrett, CBC News, Hidal-Ga-Ga. The same weather system also brought heavy
rain to parts of the northern coast, flooding closed a stretch of Highway 16, between Prince

Republic on Boxing Day, are looking for answers about what happened. Patricia Sobe says her

violence or suicide are not involved. There is growing unrest in Iran over the state of the
country's economy. Protests that began with shopkeepers in Tehran last weekend are spreading
to other cities in the country. Canada is home to hundreds of thousands of Iranians and as
Yasmin Renair reports, many are watching.
In several Iranian cities, thousands are protesting the country's dire economic situation
after the Iranian Rial hit a record low against the U.S. dollar Sunday.
The currency has lost its value.
Nader Habibi, a professor of Middle Eastern economics at Brandeis University near Boston,
says Iran's economy has been struggling for years under the weight of severe international sanctions.
Inflation then surged in recent months.
Habibi says there's a strong belief that Iranian government's mismanagement has pushed the country to the brink.
Many people hold a portion of their wealth in gold and the silver and U.S. dollars.
Iran's government says it recognizes the demonstrations and will seek dialogue with protest leaders.
Yasmil Ganea, CBC News, Vancouver.
Police in Germany are hunting for the suspects behind a $50 million bank heist.
They say thieves used a large drill to break into a safe that contained money, gold, and jewelry.
Customers outside the bank in the city of Gilson-Kirchen demanded to be let in.
The thieves broke into thousands of safe deposit boxes.
Investigators were tipped off about the robbery when a fire alarm went off Monday morning.

Organizations say the new rules could endanger staff and more aid is needed in Gaza.
And that is your rule this hour.
For CBC News, I'm Karen Howell.
Thank you.
