This ascent isn't for everyone.
You need grit to climb this high this often.
You've got to be an underdog that always over-delivers.
You've got to be 6,500 hospital staff, 1,000 doctors,
all doing so much with so little.
You've got to be Scarborough.
Defined by our uphill battle and always striving towards new heights.
And you can help us keep climbing.

from cbc news the world this hour i'm tarnjit parmar parts of calgary are now under water restrictions and a boil advisory that could stretch into the new year
this comes after a main critical to the city's water supply broke last night and flooded a neighborhood as anise hadari reports another catastrophic break happened on the exact same street in 2024
from a water main break. Tuesday night saw firefighters rescuing 13 people from multiple cars
trapped by water overflowing on a major road. And while nobody was injured, there are now
restrictions on mass water use across the city. To be clear, New Year's Eve is not canceled.
Jeremy Farkas is the mayor of Calgary. We can still proceed, but we have to do so in a way that
recognizes the constraints that Calgarians exist in right now. Those constraints also include
boil water advisories for multiple neighborhoods. This break happened in the
same area that saw the same type of catastrophe back in June 2024.
But Chris Graham with the City of Calgary's utilities says there was no indication of this
problem in advance.
There was nothing in the monitoring or in the operation of the pipe, the flows, the pressures
that would have indicated an issue before the pressure dropped of the control room.
There is no time frame yet on when repairs will be completed or when the restrictions will
be lifted. Any Tadari, CBC News, Calgary.
The countdown is on to the 2026 winter 11th.
