we have identified a hundred or so injured people significantly in many cases and sadly several dozen people are presumed to have died a swiss police
Commander says the deaths are several tens of people and that work is underway to identify the victims
and inform their families. However, they don't believe the fire was an attack. Authorities say they
believe the majority of those killed are from the international community, but there's no word
at this time if any Canadians were involved. The Canadian Embassy in Switzerland has issued a social
media post on X, extending their sympathies to the family members of those involved. In Amsterdam,
A major fire that broke out at the historic Vondelkirk Church overnight
has forced dozens of residents in the area to evacuate their homes.
The church dates back to 1880 and is a popular tourist attraction
that was most recently being used as a venue for concerts and other events.
According to local authorities, the church was likely hit by fireworks
and the structure has been destroyed.
But the main walls of the building remain intact.

One of the Union Pearson Express trains that connects downtown Toronto with Pearson Airport
was evolved in a collision near the Atobico North Go Station last night.
It happened just after 10 o'clock.
CBC technician Sam McNulty was on board the train when it crashed, and she described what happened.
All of a sudden, there was like this honking repeatedly, and then all of a sudden, long honk,
and then a big crash.
and we were all just kind of like jolted forward
and you're like, what's going on?
The doors open up to the cabin
where all the drivers are
and they come out and they're just giving us an update
saying like, you know, something was on the tracks
and we crashed into it
so it's going to be a while.
Toronto police say the train hit a vehicle
that was on the tracks. The female driver
of that vehicle was arrested for impaired driving
and has non-life-threatening injuries.
There were no reported injuries to the train passengers.
