from Washington. The U.S. President Donald Trump in a post on social media confirming this attack,
but also confirming the news that is shocked many internationally, that the U.S. has removed
a sitting head of government, removing Nicholas Maduro and his wife, the U.S. president,
confirming that they were captured and flown out of the country.
Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, has been speaking to a Republican senator and
Trump ally, Mike Lee. And in that phone call, Rubio said that Maduro would be heading here to the
United States to stand trial. Remember, the US government under Donald Trump, first time round
launched charges against Maduro's government, accusing him of narco-terrorism and corruption.
There is significant questions coming from Democrat lawmakers here in the capital, but around
the country, about whether the US president had that authority to carry out this action.

In Switzerland, investigators are continuing the painful task

Food banks across the country are continuing to struggle to keep up with the rising demand of people in need.
Experts say the rising cost of living is to blame.
In Quebec, its food bank organization says food insecurity is projected to increase by more than 20% in the next two years.

the rising cost of living is making more people turn to food banks.
She says organizations have learned to adapt to the increase in demand, but it's not getting

organizations who just can't make it happen with the little resources that they have.
This network wasn't built to respond to this many requests every month.
Food banks of Quebec says for the first time ever, it's had more than 3 million requests
per month for food assistance across the province.
According to a study it commissioned, that number is expected to move closer to $4 million in two years.
Belyer Fowler says this will be one of the key issues this fall during the Quebec provincial election campaign.
She's calling on all the parties to make their plans clear on dealing with poverty, homelessness, and food insecurity.
