This ascent isn't for everyone.
You need grit to climb this high this often.
You've got to be an underdog that always over-delivers.
You've got to be 6,500 hospital staff, 1,000 doctors,
all doing so much with so little.
You've got to be Scarborough.
Defined by our uphill battle and always striving towards new heights.
And you can help us keep climbing.

From CBC News, the world this hour. I'm Neil Hurland.
Prime Minister Mark Carney says Canadian oil will remain competitive, even if Venezuela boosts
output following the American ousting of President Nicolas Maduro, and he adds that a proposed
carbon capture project in Alberta would make Canadian crude more appealing to environmentally
conscious buyers.
will be competitive because it is low risk, clearly low risk, low cost, the marginal costs,
there's been huge progress in getting down the cost, and low carbon, which is what the Pathways
Project carbon capture will bring. And that makes Canadian oil competitive, Canadian oil competitive
for the medium and long term. On Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump said Venezuela would be
providing 30 million to 50 million barrels of oil to the U.S., and he promised the proceeds would
benefit the people of both countries. Meanwhile, the U.S. has offered few timelines or plans on
Venezuela's political future. Opposition leader Maria Corina Machado has been hiding for months,
but as Jorge Barrera reports, that could soon change. I'm planning to go as soon as possible
back home. Maria Corina Machado telling Fox News, her return to Venezuela is imminent, but she didn't say
when. Luis Carrera, an official with Vente Venezuela, Machado's political
Party says he thinks she could return in days.
It's what I believe, based on how I know her, says Carrera.
He is the party's coordinator in the western Venezuelan state of Dachira, which sits next to
Colombia.
She is a woman who has a deep love for the country, he says.
Carrera fled Venezuela after his home was raided in 2024.
He says he believes Machado will be the next president.
But the nation's political future remains murky.
President Donald Trump has said the U.S. will work.
run Venezuela for the short term while acting President Delci Rodriguez insists no foreign agent is
governing the country. Jorge Brera, CBC News, Cucuta, Colombia. Americans who took part in the
January 6 riots five years ago marched in Washington again. In 2021, thousands of Donald Trump
supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol in protest of Joe Biden's election win. Four people died
and nearly 200 police officers were injured. Karen Paul's reports.
A rally and march to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the Capitol Hill riot.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump continued efforts to rewrite the history of this assault,
condemning those who investigated him for it, and downplaying his involvement.
You know that the news never reported the words, walk or march,
peacefully and patriotically to the Capitol.
Meanwhile, inside the Capitol, Pamela Hemphill, also known as Meg a Granny,
spoke at a House Democratic event.
The 72-year-old served two months in federal prison
for taking part in the riots.
Hemphill was one of more than 1,500 people Trump pardoned last year,
but she didn't accept it.
Why?
Because it was a lie.
January 6 was an insurrection.
I broke the law.
Hemphill credited the Capitol Police for protecting her
when she was trampled, and she asked for their forgiveness.
Karen Paul's, CBC News, Washington.
James has died at the age of 84. The former CIA officer was convicted of spying for the Soviet Union and
Russia during and after the Cold War. I knew quite well when I gave the names of our agents in the
Soviet Union that I was exposing them. Ames admitted taking millions of dollars and bribes to
disclose the identities of 10 Russian officials who were spying for the United States or Great Britain.
He was sent to prison in 1994, and he died behind bars on Monday.
People in Anuvic Northwest Territories are being asked to turn down the heat at home
and find ways to reduce their energy use because of a limited propane supply in town.
Anuvic gas issued an advisory late Tuesday afternoon asking residents to conserve power.
The temperature in Anuvic tonight is minus 44.
And that is your world this hour.

Thank you.
