The Worst Idea Of All Time - 35: How We Roll w/ Alice Snedden

Episode Date: November 3, 2023

The boys are joined by Alice Snedden to wave goodbye to Fast Five! Guy has Devil Energy and Alice is spoiling for a fight. In a far reaching conversation, Alice shares some honest acting assessments b...efore discussing which family members she'd like to see sucking each other's dicks. Tim is on the back end of a cool, fun weekend and Guy appears hell-bent on antagonizing anyone who even looks at him. The episode—as so often happens when joined by the Sned-head—is an even balance of reflections on the film and life itself.Support us on Substack at twioat.substack.com. Hosted on Acast. Starting point is 00:00:16 Music Music Music Music Music Music 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Before we get started, I've got to ask a question of our guest. Oh my gosh. Alice Neden's on the pod.
Starting point is 00:00:35 Hey, Alice is back everybody. This is us applauding. Just before we record the air. I'm so annoyed at you already. Because you're trying to set up what you felt were the beginnings of a hostile environment while we were watching the end. I'm so annoyed at you already because you're trying to set up what you felt were the beginnings of a hostile environment while we were watching the movie. You're now trying to carry over in its embryonic
Starting point is 00:00:52 stage to the podcast so that it can come to full term and then be delivered and I'm annoyed at how you're actively annoying me. Yeah, you're preemptively trying to be mean in a justified way but there is no justification that you're gonna ask do you know how we roll because it's the last song in the
Starting point is 00:01:10 movie and you've asked it a dozen times already okay well it's funny that you think you know me better than i know myself and know what i'm gonna do when you've got no idea what i'm about to say and it's the start of the episode so it's quite an important question if you say something different right now to do you know how we roll it's you actively being an asshole to make me look bad and then if you do say do you know how we roll it's also you being a prick okay so whichever way it happens it's neither of those it's an important question to help set up the entire episode for us here recording it and the listener do you or do you not know how hey what does that thing say has anyone got really good eyesight no oh shit no i couldn't see that in a million years you guys keep chatting amongst yourselves do you have any idea
Starting point is 00:01:58 how we roll yeah you're all like this yeah what tim's doing right now we kind of roll like this so we we take care of technical issues as they appear. You're in a real fucking younger brother move. Are you in an older sister zone? Well, I've never been an older sister, but I feel like this is maybe what it felt like and it doesn't feel good. Actually, it's kind of interesting that you're not an older sister. And now I'm thinking, do you have older sister energy older sisters i think can be quite um and i say this with love domineering
Starting point is 00:02:33 that love was for my older sister not for you by the way you still hate me i love you i love you so much and i'm loving spending this time with you i love watching the movie with you uh-huh i um and i'm so just i'm over the moon that you know i don't think i'm domineering you get an education in how we roll i don't think i'm domineering i think you are pushy you are pushy i'm pushy you have an agenda and you won't let it go what is my agenda to see me wound up I have no desire to see you wound up that is what you literally live for
Starting point is 00:03:14 I never see you happier than when I'm in distress that's a coincidence In an ideal world It will be someone else who will put you under duress And I'll be there incidentally Oh my god As if you want to be the cause of the harm You do get some laughs along the way
Starting point is 00:03:40 But that's just how we roll We roll like this And do you know what's so frustrating is that because we didn't start recording this podcast when we started watching the movie then i i look unreasonable but nobody has experienced the last two and a half hours with you what have i been like i've been nice i'm right here tim you've been nothing but a joy you don't have to say that brown nose i was just saying i'm an i could act as some sort of arbiter all right we'll take it away he's a massive piece of shit he sucks dude this guy's got toxic vile energy yeah i i think i've brought a pretty positive energy i checked it on both of you i
Starting point is 00:04:25 made i said are you happy when i first saw both of you i said are you happy in your life that question is an attack okay only because i know that you're never happy that's not true i'd say i'm i'm moderately happy most of the time hell yeah i think is actually quite a high standard to be achieving yeah that rocks i'm so stoked for you is there anything a high standard to be achieving. Yeah, that rocks. I'm so stoked for you. Is there anything I can do to help enhance your happiness? Tim, I think you should take the lead on this. It's our last watch of Fast Five, everybody, and we're joined by Alice Sneddon, who last joined us on our final watch of the second season of In Just Like That.
Starting point is 00:05:07 That's right. So happy to have you back. So grateful to have you back. It's late in the day. We're kind of tired, I think. We're a little bit punchy. We're a little bit weary. I've felt very drained the last few days.
Starting point is 00:05:23 You've had a hard time. I'm sorry. Why have you felt drained the last few days. You've had a hard time. I'm sorry, why have you felt drained the last few days? Life finds a way. It'll get you down. Before you felt drained, did you ever feel energised? Yeah, I'm too old to do drugs.
Starting point is 00:05:39 Thanks, Guy. Okay, we get it. That's not what I said. It was implied Is your public persona one of a person who does or does not do drugs? I would say 75% of my entire comedy career is staked on me doing drugs Yeah, right, okay There's actually a great time you did when you
Starting point is 00:05:58 Sorry, I'm not a fan No, I know, it's fine You had a run of shows, you you had a five show week or something and then you're a comedy festival and you said one of these nights i'm going to be doing the show on shrooms and you didn't say which night it was no i don't think that no that's not true i see i said what night it was because i was like i've sold all the tickets i can like no one's all the people who could conceivably want to see me have seen me so now i need a big gimmick i see i did shrooms and how did it go great reinvigorated the run sold out that night and had a great tail on it for the sales it
Starting point is 00:06:32 was awesome right i didn't recognize my cousin who was in the front row because i was so high oh my god i was like doing crowd work wow she's like tim it's me i was like oh whoops sorry i'll stop hitting on you then Simon Do you know the other day I forgot the name of all of my grandparents All of them Couldn't remember a single one of their names Whoa
Starting point is 00:06:56 I had to text my parents being like What are my grandparents called Were you sober Yeah Are your grandparents alive Nah they're long dead That would be awkward Yeah How shabby is this And that's on them Were you sober? Yeah. Are your grandparents alive? No, they're long dead. That would be awkward.
Starting point is 00:07:06 Yeah. How shabby is this? And that's on them. Yeah, it is on them. Yeah. They could have hung around and we would have had a closer relationship. Well, you would have known their names. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:15 I think it's because of the tense. You said, what are my grandparents' names? And I thought, wow, you forgot them while they're alive. I was kind of quite taken aback by that. I do have quite a bad attention to detail really yeah well okay i'll ask you a question just to assess how much attention you've been paying in the podcast so far do you know how we roll yeah you're all over yeah that's exactly how we roll that's how we roll.
Starting point is 00:07:46 We roll like this. I don't like how it paints me into a corner as either being a person who has fun because I play along with the gimmick. Or who's like a stick in the mud because I don't want to answer this question for the hundredth time. It's not the hundredth time. Right now, you were giving devil energy in all seriousness i do have a proper question for you if you're willing to take it sure what do you think of the movie oh i actually enjoyed it yeah it's not a bad film no it's okay yeah that rocks it's the best one we've we've seen so far is it really yeah it's actually like i think it's a really quality action movie.
Starting point is 00:08:27 Yeah, it's a lot of fun. It was honestly such a treat to see Paul Walker. Ooh. Because I think I thought he was, I don't know, I think maybe in the back of my mind when he died, I was like, well, I guess he's not in the movies either. Interesting that both Paul Walker and all of your grandparents are dead and the one name you remember.
Starting point is 00:08:47 It's Paul Walker. That's such a good point. It's fascinating. Wow. Well, he stayed around for longer into my life. He died pretty young. If any of my grandparents had been in a great movie with Jessica Alba, I would have remembered their names as well.
Starting point is 00:09:03 Blue Crush? No, not Blue Crush. What was it? What was the one he did with Jessica Alba? movie with jessica alba i would have remembered their names as well crash that no not blue what was it what was the one he did it was um so what was it was it blue deep blue false gold no no that's mcconaughey and kate hudson and blue crushes michelle rodriguez actually from the oh yeah last uh franchise bosworth she seems like your type Kate Bosworth yeah nothing against Kate Bosworth yeah nothing wrong with a bit of Kate Bosworth yeah I bet you like that
Starting point is 00:09:29 she's got two different coloured eyes which I bet is something that you're also into now that's an attack I I don't mind that there was a guy at school who had two
Starting point is 00:09:42 two different coloured eyes George Wright lovely guy and you hook up no but I once I looked I was like can I have a guy at school who had two different colour eyes George Ray, lovely guy And you hook up No, but once I looked, I was like, can I have a look at your eyes? And then I gave him a slap on the cheek Which I'm realising as I say it out loud I probably didn't have total control over my energy
Starting point is 00:09:58 And that's not that cool That's pretty funny We're still on great terms, but it was a bit rude Do you remember that prank at school that you used to do where it would be like, if your hand is bigger than your face, you have cancer? Yeah. People would put their hand in front of their face
Starting point is 00:10:15 and you'd smack their face. Does this ice cream smell funny to you? I don't know that one. You go, does this ice cream smell funny? Then someone sniffs their ice cream and you smack it up into their face. It's great because the soft serve at McDonald's just only costs 50 cents. So that was a cheap gag to pull off. I remember actually once we were on our way to a school camp
Starting point is 00:10:32 and we stopped in Geraldine and you could get a four scoop ice cream for $2. That's fucked. Four scoop choc dip for $2.50. That's fucked. And someone... Well, but in those days Now it would have been about I mean with inflation It was probably worth
Starting point is 00:10:47 About 10 bucks Yeah I guess It's hard to know But that memory is like I just remember seeing The ice cream And they weren't like Small scoops you know
Starting point is 00:10:56 Yeah of course not But Nick Tapper Got someone He's like Does this smell funny to you And then he pushed Too hard on the ice cream And the four scoops
Starting point is 00:11:03 Just fell Like it hit his The guy's face And just fell onto the ground. He was just left holding this cone he's crushed in his hand. Hey, back to your slap story. The other day I was changing Remy's nappy and he stood up on the change table and he put his arms out to give me a hug.
Starting point is 00:11:23 And when I leaned in, he just opened my slap, fully slapped me on the change table and he put his arms out to give me a hug and when i leaned in he just opened fully slapped me on the face the legend's been listening it's so hard to not laugh when kids do shit like that man you don't want to encourage it because technically they're not supposed to but it was yeah kids aren't supposed to hurt it fuck it was funny though just his timing like the vulnerability it was so funny he's's going to be a great guy I reckon Did they go diving in the movie? Did they just get over a Paul Walker movie?
Starting point is 00:11:52 Is it a dive rather than a surf movie? I think it's more dive Into the Blue? Yeah, yes I'm so stoked I got it Yeah, Into the Blue So you like spending a bit of time with paul walker i love to see paul walker i love to see the rock i didn't know the rock was in it either
Starting point is 00:12:10 i enjoyed elsa pataki being in it because i'd only known her to be in one other movie what movie uh it was like a netflix movie called like annihilation i probably made that name up what do you think of annihilation is the one with Natalie Portman. That's good. Right, okay. I enjoyed it. What do you think of her acting? I think she's so bad.
Starting point is 00:12:34 But I think she seems like a great person. And I also don't think she's necessarily the worst person in the movie. Like, I don't think she's performing below par of what the movie is asking for her i am sort of interested to know i'm trying to pass what you said there is as like the specific role she was put in didn't ask a lot of her or her fellow cast mates both were not hitting well i think everyone was performing at the level they needed to perform to keep us together between the car chases. Okay.
Starting point is 00:13:10 Do you think that's too harsh? You sound like my dad, actually. No, it's actually very diplomatic. I think it's a very diplomatic answer. Give me best and worst. Who's the best on screen? I really liked Han. Yeah, great. And worst performance? Love Han Shit it probably was Elsa
Starting point is 00:13:30 It's a shame That's gutting Can I also ask Because you said that you think she seems like a good person Is that something you gleaned from her acting performance? Or is that just like broader Her marriage to Chris Hemsworth So that's because she's married to Chris Hemsworth
Starting point is 00:13:44 Yeah I just think If you're not from Australia and you marry an Australian Her marriage to Chris Hemsworth. So that is because she's married to Chris Hemsworth. Yeah, I just think if you're not from Australia and you marry an Australian. That's an act of love. Yeah. What do you think of Australians? I hate them. What do you know of their marriage? So they have twins.
Starting point is 00:14:01 Nice. And another kid. So they've got three kids in total. And they live in Brisbane, I believe. No, not Brisbane. They live in, what's the, on the water. Brisbane is an act of love. Brisbane would be an act of love. Did you say what's on the water?
Starting point is 00:14:15 Yeah, what's on the coast? Every city. Byron Bay. Byron Bay. They live in Byron Bay. That makes sense. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And a big house there with an infinity pool.
Starting point is 00:14:23 I'll bet you they're really well they're so healthy yeah this did you not watch the um chris hemsworth documentary i believe i missed it okay so there is so i can't believe we haven't spoken about this so so one of the experiments he does is it's all experiments yeah so it's a documentary about how to live long and as part of it and like the culmination of this series he goes to live in a rest home that they've created for him with a bunch of elderly actors did this come out a while ago and did you talk about it on bonus with rose yeah i must have done oh sorry keep going yes i did i did did nathan fielder executive produce this documentary i know i must have so anyway this is i'm crossing over material here but essentially as part of it so they put him in this suit that restricts all of his movements so that
Starting point is 00:15:22 he'd know what it feels like to be old and then on the last day of being in the rest home they put him in um they throw a ball and they surprise him with alice pataki but they've put her in makeup to make her look like she's 80 years old what the fuck yeah he doesn't know so he doesn't know and then he turns and he sees her and they have this like beautiful moment where he's like seeing what his wife will look like when she's 85 or something wait so he doesn't know he's looking at his wife he recognizes her she's recognizable okay but they put you know like prosthetics on her so she's got he's not just getting real horny for this old bird It's really full on And then at the end they recreate They imagine his death
Starting point is 00:16:08 And they take him through that It does sound intriguing This actually sounds like they got bored Because the premise of the show is about Chris Hemsworth Exploring different techniques To extend his life But also like Let's fuck him up by watching his own funeral
Starting point is 00:16:25 and his wife become elderly instantly yeah you're just throwing random stuff the elderly thing is so weird it's so weird because he's still young so it's very like benjamin barton also i feel like you know the limited range of movement you have when you're older it's incremental so it's less jar it's not like literally the healthiest person in the world and in the prime of their life it's incremental so it's less it's not like literally the healthiest person in the world and in the prime of their life it's such a it's such a steep drop-off it's pretty funny seeing him in the suit though trying to play table tennis do you see him playing table tennis before no what the fuck have they got him doing a new thing for then? I mean, I'm sure he's a pretty coordinated guy.
Starting point is 00:17:10 Yeah, but that's like a specific, you know. Chris seems to be a good guy? Yeah, I think he's alright actually. Oh, that's cool. I think he seems like a nice guy. That's mean. What do you think about him having sex sometimes? Oh, sorry. You think about him having sex
Starting point is 00:17:23 or you think about him while you are having sex? I think about him having sex or you think about him while you are having sex? I think about him having sex. With Elsa. With Elsa. So I am gay, but then there's also like the small... That is so brave. Thank you. But there's this small section of my sexuality...
Starting point is 00:17:38 For fellas or ladies? I'm gay for ladies. Okay. But there's a small section of my sexuality Which is like Heavily invested in highly muscular men And like watching them do physical activities That's true
Starting point is 00:17:55 Do you know Even when we were watching this movie actually The scene where Mia tells Paul Walker that she's pregnant And they have that quite charged wet kiss And you see That's a really wet kiss In a way that kind of turns me on And I was thinking the same thing I think it's pregnant and they have that quite charged wet kiss and he said that's a really wet kiss in a way that kind of
Starting point is 00:18:06 turns me on and I was thinking the same thing I think it's so sexy the way that he's embracing fatherhood so good and then they start
Starting point is 00:18:13 and then Vin Diesel went over to hug his sister in his bed and you're like I kind of want to see them kiss like that as well you're kind of getting turned on
Starting point is 00:18:21 and he was like yeah I want to see them suck each other's yeah but in a very like soft and appropriate way and he was like yeah I want to see them suck each other's Yeah but in a very like soft and appropriate way Yeah I want to see them suck each other's dicks And you're like I do want to see them I just think like
Starting point is 00:18:33 Name a person who you wouldn't want to see Suck someone else's dick Like that's the actual challenge Do you know what Here's how much of an ally I am Given the information you just told us about being gay I'm going to say Alice Sneddon actually I take it back I'd love to see it
Starting point is 00:18:53 it's not bad man you know anyway so I have this Chris Hemsworth thing where I love to watch him exercise and he does a lot of bear crawls and like throwing big balls around and i have all of these videos saved on my instagram oh my god of chris hemsworth and then when i see her she's so tiny so sometimes i just imagine i don't i find the logistics yeah i kind of find it funny to imagine the logistics of what
Starting point is 00:19:23 their love making would be like. Yeah. Yeah. It is always interesting, that, isn't it? Because there is a whole trope of these huge men who are often not just bulky, but quite tall. Yeah. Yeah. Tall also.
Starting point is 00:19:37 Yeah. Pairing up with these tiny miniature women. Tiny ladies. If you get your body really muscly, the penis- Does your dick get muscly? The penis doesn't know. No. The penis is- No, but it's more dick get... The penis doesn't know. No. The penis is...
Starting point is 00:19:46 No, but it's more about like, if you're talking about sex, it's like, where's everyone's heads and bits and things, you know? Wow. If you're doing missionary... They move around. Oh, yeah. Well, her head's probably at about his belly button height, I'd say. Well, if you had it your way her head's probably here he is
Starting point is 00:20:11 you are a fantastic person to watch this movie with because uh i think you engage with it on face value and you are a gasper if something astonishes or impresses you you gasp and it was nice I think we were a bit tired of this movie after four screenings and there was a certain rose tint
Starting point is 00:20:39 that I was viewing it with anyway because you know no I'm not going to see any of this stuff again but the opening action sequence with the train like the culmination of that when the train's going to go over the bridge and ball walk has to jump off yeah that bit was so scary i was watching you watch it and it was a really big gasp and it's how i felt too and then they jump off the car into the water and that was an even bigger gasp and i thought this is good stuff like this is actually good movie making yeah it's so much fun
Starting point is 00:21:06 I love action for that reason I love it I also I love I I'm I think my nervous system um is always in a state of flux and that's why I gasp a state of flux I think so I drill into that I gasp in my day-to-day life as well like Like, I'm quite prone to frights. Is it in response to stimulus or, like, just you will... Sometimes, you know, like, if you open a fridge door and then you close it and then suddenly a person's there. Yeah. That gives me such a big fright. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:40 And because I don't... You're jumpy. I'm very jumpy. I'm very jumpy. You're a jumpy person. I'm a jumpy person Have you always been a jumpy person? Yeah I think because I
Starting point is 00:21:48 That fucked me up too I didn't like that Do you know what I didn't like that Is I've been holding in a fart the whole podcast And it almost got out So when you did that My whole body knew to keep it in Now that you've told us about it
Starting point is 00:22:04 You can just let it out i can't let it out i've never ever in my entire life done a silent fart that's okay we'll do a loud one then i'm not doing a fart on the podcast well we'll see i'm but i am looking forward to getting in my car and just letting yeah you know there's a walk there's like 20 meters you could do it i'll wait till i'm like do you like smell? I like to know I'm in a confined space. So that's a yes. And I'm alone. Do you fart in bed?
Starting point is 00:22:32 Yeah. Who doesn't? Who doesn't fart in bed? Well, I mean, yeah, I do too. But some of the farts that are coming out of our bed lately, it's like, you know. It's toxic. There's some heavy stuff where it's like, you know. It's toxic. There's some heavy stuff where it's like,
Starting point is 00:22:46 you know what you're doing. And you know that this is going to impact everyone. I will say, I have had fights over far. Which I think are some of the fun and funniest. A genuine fight? Like a real fight? They're pretty short-lived. But they're explosive for about 30 seconds, I would say.
Starting point is 00:23:08 A lot of like, why would you do that? Why wouldn't you get up to leave the room? Why would you both make us suffer for this? That's genuine. And then I've been made to go get like a candle or a spray or something. Have you ever done the fart? No, it's always me. Oh, you're in trouble in the fight.
Starting point is 00:23:32 It's not you telling someone. No, I'm in trouble. Yeah, why have you done this? Yeah, I'm in trouble. You were such a good actor that in you acting out your partner attacking you, it did feel like you were just drawing on a memory rather than a performance. No, no, no. It's mainly always me.
Starting point is 00:23:48 When she does it, I'm always like, did you fart? Then I find it funny. That's cute. You're trying to soften the conversation around farts. I guess so. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:23:58 I think I do need to rein it in a bit. Perhaps I got too comfortable. Too relaxed. Yeah. Poo with the door open? Shit, no. No. No. Do you? No, but there have been times when I'm at
Starting point is 00:24:11 home alone and then, you know, I'm just getting lazy. Yeah. And then poo with the door open and then you hear someone come in. That's how long I know. Is your toilet small enough that you can like kick it shut if you hear that happening? The toilet's a distance from the toilet is a walk from the door. Set out from the door.
Starting point is 00:24:28 That is risky business then. Just shut the door. Yeah. But I don't even like to pee with the door open when I'm home alone, you know, or like poo with the door open when I'm home alone. There's something about it where I'm like, no, we've got to keep it in here. This is just private business. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:43 Although today my dog. Do you think the other rooms in your house know that you piss in shit? You've got to keep it in here. This is just private business. Yeah, although today my dog... Do you think the other rooms in your house know that you piss as shit? I don't think they do. They know I fart. Today, though, I was... This might be too graphic, but... Take a chance.
Starting point is 00:24:57 I was changing a tampon and my dog walked in, like, pushed open the door. And I was, like, tampon in hand yelling at him like tune out what do you think jude made of that and he wouldn't listen so he just stood there and i just had to go and he watched me change my tampon and he's not a small dog he's quite a big dog that is that does change it that is a different thing he's not like at a low level he's quite a big dog that is that does change it that is a different thing he's not like at a low level he's like kind of if i'm on the toilet and he's in the room we're like eye contact kind of level there's also an intelligence thing i think bigger dogs they're
Starting point is 00:25:36 closer to our yeah you know that might be true that's really confronting Oh yeah it was full on for us both Did you seem Changed by this at all No I genuinely think he's a pervert You know because lots of dogs they like look away If you get naked or you like Do they? Yeah you watch your dog if you like change in front of your dog Try it
Starting point is 00:26:04 Try it with Rufus and see what happens yeah man yeah or you should try you should get you should hold rufus down but jude stares yeah it's like oddly when he's most calm your dog freaks out on the cat You're like oh my god I'm going to take off all my clothes He's been having a hard enough time Typing the letters into the keyboard
Starting point is 00:26:33 With this little pause This saves me hours of work Later when you're out Oh god Dogs eh No dogs in this movie Nah no dogs in this movie Which Nah, no dogs in this movie. Which is weird.
Starting point is 00:26:46 I feel like the Fast and Furious franchise could benefit from a dog. Totally. It would be awesome to see them have a little furry friend. It'd be Vin Diesel's dog. It'd be Dom Toretto's dog. And it'd be like a bulldog, I think. Yeah, or like a pit bull or something. And it would just appear at opportune moments when all all is lost everyone's pinned up against the wall and from out of nowhere
Starting point is 00:27:10 fido appears and saves the day and bites the rock and the nuts or something i can't remember a dog or like a dog featuring as a plot point in any of the movies we've seen so far in this franchise but i feel like once i see a dog in the Fast and the Furious universe that the whole thing's jumped the shark. I just think... You saw them go to space. Yeah, I saw them go to space. Yeah. That is how I say it.
Starting point is 00:27:32 I don't think you like dogs. I do like dogs. I've never seen evidence to support that. Where is this coming from? I just get a vibe from you. I grew up with dogs so? that wasn't your decision
Starting point is 00:27:48 well I was influential in the decision first 18 years of my life we had dogs, I walked the dogs I pet the dogs do you like dogs? I do like dogs I don't have a dog well there we go
Starting point is 00:28:03 but I mean it's a huge amount of responsibility. You had a dog. Don't do it. Do you like dogs? Ah. I live with two. But both of them have their good points and their drawbacks. That is a no.
Starting point is 00:28:23 Do they get on? Alice doesn't like dogs. Yeah, they get on. No, you do like dogs. I do like dogs. I don't know if you like dog ownership. I like dogs. I do like dogs and I love my dog, but I don't enjoy dog ownership.
Starting point is 00:28:34 Yeah. Other people's dogs. Responsibility is so great. Great as in big, not like awesome. Great as in overwhelming. Yeah, I think I would find it easier with a smaller dog yeah a big dog is like or maybe a less perverted dog no that part i don't mind that part i foster yeah that's pretty cool actually i think it's cool if you have a dog to hit it like it's got a few interesting quirks yeah like pervert dog's kind of cool i think it
Starting point is 00:29:05 is kind of cool like the other dog is a smaller dog and like whenever my girlfriend and i like kiss it'll leave the room you gotta hold it because it's a sin that rocks you're a crazy household man you got a christian dog and a pervert dog and that's why they get along You're a crazy household man. You've got a Christian dog and a pervert dog. And that's why they get along. Between them they could be one priest. There he is. Yeah, you've earned that Peroni.
Starting point is 00:29:38 We laugh and laugh, don't we? I did genuinely enjoy that film. Of all of the things I've been made to watch with you guys, I think that is by far the best. We've dragged you into this den of iniquity many times yeah and just like that finale yeah i enjoyed it more than the and just like that finale okay what would get you more excited though and just like that season three or another fast and the furious movie or oh sorry paul walker and the rock sucking each other's dicks Well that option Top of the list obviously Imagine seeing those guys 69
Starting point is 00:30:10 Imagine I would be fascinated to see The Rock's Nude body with his Penis hard Yeah it must look so out of proportion Because you're right Because the penis doesn't change It's not like lifting weights as well
Starting point is 00:30:24 It must look so skinny It must look tiny I think about Especially if they're on steroids Like his own roids Which probably is Michelle Wolf had a great joke In her joke show special on Netflix
Starting point is 00:30:34 I think about skinny dicks And when I think of the rock naked I just think of the skinniest looking dick Yeah he set himself up so badly there But I suppose it's not everything you know right it's not you know like most people aren't gonna see it well i guess that's true yeah how many people do you think have seen the rocks dick hmm that's a good that's a two really good question no too high in that many too high i, and I say this genuinely, 20.
Starting point is 00:31:06 I reckon less than 40. Really? Mm-hmm. I think he's a serial monogamist. No, but we're talking everyone. Oh, sure, sure, sure, yeah. I reckon there's the odd audition, there's doctors. Do you think there's the odd audition where the rocks got out as well?
Starting point is 00:31:22 Early on. No way. No way. No way. There's just no chance. You're probably right. You're probably right. But doctors, mother, that's two. Father.
Starting point is 00:31:35 Sure. I mean, you know, probably a sibling. And then he slept with. By accident. I reckon he's not slept with more than 15 people wow the rock yeah um you think i feel like that is thinking very highly of someone with that level of fame and power no moral uh the rock is um so he had a moment in his life when he was very down and out and i think addicted to drugs oh really oh in that
Starting point is 00:32:05 case much higher yeah so he um his dad was a pretty famous wrestler and um the rock was destined to be a gridiron player like you know yeah and he he kept sort of like he got into whatever the professional leagues are at a very low level and he got signed to a team and then he had a devastating injury which kept getting aggravated like he healed but it kept getting aggravated and then eventually the team dropped him if i remember rightly and he kind of fell into a sort of depressive period of his life, well, unless you're willing to show us a room full of 50 people. All I'm saying is that's the kind of time in your life when you show a lot of people your penis.
Starting point is 00:32:52 When the chips are down and you've got, you know, not a clear path forward in your future. Yeah, okay. And so he kind of surrendered himself to get into wrestling because he didn't want to do it. I feel like just for some reason I have an imagination that he's been married for a long time. He may well have been by now, but he's old. He's like 50. You said during the movie, you said you think of The Rock as a good guy.
Starting point is 00:33:15 Yeah, I do. That's weird to me. Where's that coming from? I feel like you have got the same sort of healthy cynicism of wealth and power that I have. Oh, yeah, I think it's immoral to have that much money. He's got a plan. Yeah, I think that's probably true.
Starting point is 00:33:29 I'm convinced he's trying to be president of America. Yeah, a lot of people think that. I'm one of them. I actually don't mind that. I honestly think the presidency in America feels, it's almost like the crown to New Zealand. What is it to America though? Still kind of flaccid yeah i think so i mean i i feel like it does it even matter i mean it matters when it's bad it's like
Starting point is 00:33:54 me but when it's good i feel like it has not much impact people keep saying this about the mayor as well they're like the mayor doesn't mean anything because it's just one vote on the council it's like yeah but it's like the mascot for the city yeah the president is the mascot for the country and that that does have a an effect on the vibe well i guess now that uh donald trump yes is that his honor how are we referring to yeah yeah has been um sorry former president trump has been president. I'm like, it feels like the bar is so low. I'm like, let the rock have a go. Okay, I like that. Maybe that's too cynical.
Starting point is 00:34:32 No, I like it. It's like that thing how they say anyone can be president. Yeah, I don't know that I would trust his politics. No. I feel like he might be hiding some pretty bad views. I just think he'd be a weathervane. He'd be a total populist and whatever he thought would just get him retaining power, he'd do.
Starting point is 00:34:50 That's why I fear a Rock presidency. I think it's inevitable. It's sort of an inevitable conversation if you watch Fast Five. Who would you rather be the president? The Rock or Vin Diesel? Vin Diesel would be so much more interesting. And weirdly, I think, principled.
Starting point is 00:35:08 Wow. I feel like you're taking a lot away from his character in the movie. No, I'm not. I was telling you about this while we were watching. I'm sort of hearkening back to his days as an artiste. As an indie filmmaker. Yeah, absolutely. I think there's depth there who would you vote for the rocks
Starting point is 00:35:28 running against vin i think i'd vote vin diesel the the rock it's too neat it's sort of boring really yeah you think it's neat like so you think it's basically an inevitable inevitability uh i think we'll go into politics it makes a lot of connor hay'll go into politics. It makes a lot of sense. McConaughey will go into politics. He'd sort of try. Who would you vote for there? McConaughey's got to be stopped at all costs. I'll shoot McConaughey.
Starting point is 00:35:53 I'll assassinate him. He can't have any power. Really? He's a charlatan. Okay, well, we've got opposing opinions here. Why would you stop him? The thing he just, he has just done,
Starting point is 00:36:03 his fucking pyramid scheme. Tell me more about it. It sounds interesting. It is so amazing. He did this eight-hour live stream. Tony Robbins was on that and some other people. He's a nut bar and he's convinced it. This is the thing that scares me about Matthew McConaughey.
Starting point is 00:36:21 He has convinced himself that he is something he isn't. He thinks he's this whole other thing he fully believes he's a good guy doing a good thing and he's a grifter i i i can't disagree with oh that's fine okay i can't i can't disagree with that but i like to find him so charming. And I love the sound and timbre of his voice. His voice rocks. And I will listen to it a lot.
Starting point is 00:36:52 And you're telling me you're gay? Only 90%. There's a strong 10% urge. Yeah. What do you think of Matthew McConaughey, Guy? I'm going to try and fix the light. I'm not up to the minute with all of his youtube uh goings-ons going-ons yeah goings-ons goings-ons is it i don't know man the world's a crazy place but uh i've always you know like i'm always intrigued i think it seems recently he's probably as you know whenever actors become more
Starting point is 00:37:26 vocal in their life away from acting alarm bells are usually going yeah some people have pulled it off i would argue gwyneth paltrow has pulled it off just recently celebrating 15 years of goop i told you but what about goop what do you think ofop? It's genuinely surprising to me that she's not in jail. How is it surprising to you that she's not in jail? That is such an inflammatory comment. Goop is fraudulent to the point of medical malfeasance. I think it's openly fraudulent, though. What is that? I think that because it's like going like hey guys
Starting point is 00:38:06 here's what we think but we don't actually know anything good luck you probably know more about this than I but it seems like they may have done that after a few people sued them and now they're like I will slap a label on there being like but you know we're not doctors
Starting point is 00:38:21 I will say this about Matthew McConaughey as well I'm just bookmarking that if memory serves But, you know, we're not doctors. For sure. I will say this about Matthew McConaughey as well. Google him for it. I'm just bookmarking that. You say what you want to say. If memory serves, I think he did make a pretty positive attempt on gun reform. Did he?
Starting point is 00:38:35 Matthew McConaughey? Yeah, yeah, yeah. He had a real run at it after a horrible shoot. He's a pretty interesting guy. You know, his parents were married and divorced three times. Yeah. And his dad died while having sex with his mum. Which he loves talking about. Which he loves talking about.
Starting point is 00:38:49 Really? You and I have the same YouTube algorithm, I think. Just for McConaughey. McConaughey was born. His dad was rock hard when he was dead. Really? That's the story he tells. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:59 McConaughey was born in Uvalde, Texas, which is where one of those awful shootings were. So he has a direct connection which is why he would have been like this has to stop um and i love that he loves that about his parents i mean you can see for a guy like that who's built a huge amount of his career around sex appeal and charisma yeah that having a strong do you also know that woody harrelson might actually be his brother yeah and do you know that woody harrelson's dad might have killed jfk what is this news to both of you what is this podcast now i'm taking recently joined q and i i'm taking worst idea in an exciting new direction
Starting point is 00:39:40 woody harrelson's dad was an assassin well was a hitman killed well i guess you can call him an assassin because he went to jail for killing a federal judge oh my god and he he was mixed up with um a lot of characters that are like in the right timeline in place that he he could have been the shooter on the grassy knoll apparently and he also fucked mcconaughey's mom yeah she had sex with him around the same time that she had sex with matthew's dad sick yeah she's a real character actually i like her a lot yeah i mean i just don't know enough about him to have an opinion apart from like... You've got to check out his YouTube channel. I know some people I know have been advocates for his book Greenlights.
Starting point is 00:40:30 Yeah. Have either of you read or listened to that? No, but I've listened to all of his interviews about it. And? I mean, again, I find him so charming. But there are no lessons in there that I could apply to my life in a tangible way. It's all just like when you get a green light you gotta go for it you gotta run it you know you gotta go hard is that what it is
Starting point is 00:40:50 yeah it's basically it's like life's divided into like red lights orange lights green lights oh well it's his book the premise of the jim carrey movie yes man i was gonna say the traffic light system but yeah it is he's pretty buzzy dude and I kind of appreciate that about him like he spends a lot of time in the desert alone yeah yeah it's nice when someone in that position is genuinely weird but then when they start trying to
Starting point is 00:41:17 carry it like when they start selling something that will help other people be you know like selling it to someone who doesn't have the same checks and balances or support system of like, you know, unlosable wealth around them. It gets a little bit sinister. I think. Yeah. I think he was charging a lot for that course.
Starting point is 00:41:37 Was he really? I think it cost a lot. He got in trouble because he said it was free and then charged people. I think it was like $4,000. Oh, wow. I mean, but kind of a great yeah i mean you know it's just funny thousand dollars or can take out four thousand dollars debt it's crazy of course you can change your light in front of you got to take that green light yeah this is i should probably google it before saying stuff like this but like it's funny for a multi multi-millionaire actor to be like grifting in
Starting point is 00:42:05 that way you know that's a little unbecoming so just do another movie man if you need the money speaking of yeah this movie this movie matthew mcconaughey in the fast universe i could see it it makes sense as a villain i did actually think state it did give me an appreciation for statham watching this today for some reason is he in? Statham's a villain later on. What do you think of Jason Statham, Alice Sneddon? I don't really react to him. You've never gasped? No, I don't respond to him.
Starting point is 00:42:34 If anything, I find him vaguely annoying. Okay, what if you open up the fridge to take something out and you close it and Statham was there? Huge fright. Hello, Alice. I'd shit myself, probably. I'd let out that fart. And I'll bet your fucked up dog would love that.
Starting point is 00:42:55 I know there's just something about him where I just don't, I don't respond to him. But maybe I haven't seen a lot of his movies. I've never seen Meg. Isn't that his big? Oh, no. The shark movie. I wouldn't call that like a hallmark of his movies. I've never seen Meg. Isn't that his big? Oh, no. The shark movie. That's not.
Starting point is 00:43:05 I wouldn't call that like a hallmark of his career. Oh, okay. Crank. Have you seen either of the Crank movies? No, I've not seen Crank. Crank's really fun. I've heard that's fun. It's where you've got to keep your heart rate up to a certain level.
Starting point is 00:43:15 Yeah, and it's shot like a skate video. And he's great in Guy Ritchie's Snatch. And also Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Oh, maybe I've got to give this guy a go he's in the Italian job as well oh yeah I've seen that he is the Italian job in the reboot he's good in these sort of like pulpy
Starting point is 00:43:33 trashy UK crime thrillers do you guys love him clearly I do like Statham personally if there was a train going down some tracks yeah and it would either hit you or jason statham and you have to pull the lever to direct the train towards jason statham would you do it would you do it yeah i would kill jason statham in an instant to save
Starting point is 00:44:00 myself 100 really okay what if there's a train going down the tracks and you have to put it's gonna hit tim what if you pull the lever it's gonna hit me alice would you pull the i really thought one of them was gonna be two celebrity actors sucking each other off on the tracks would i pull the lever i'd probably kill you because we're no because we're closer no offense tim no no no yeah but we've spent more time together yeah so i feel like there's a greater chance of him understanding i'm living i'm loving this yeah i'd be devastated it's quite horrible telling your family it's very interesting logic that you kill guy because i'd need to kill someone who I could trust would forgive me But he would have no opportunity to
Starting point is 00:44:48 Because he'd be dead The last thing I'd yell out is I don't forgive you Well if that's the case I killed him Fair enough What I wanted to know when I said this movie Is I wanted to know Basically your shining lights
Starting point is 00:45:04 Because we've been talking for ages. Alice, do you want me to go first? Yeah, you go first while I think of my shining light. Oh, have I already talked about it quite a lot? It's hard to say. I don't know what it is. The scene where Roman has to go into the evidence locker and just the tête-à-tête that he has
Starting point is 00:45:27 with the evidence locker police officer man. There's just something about the chemistry of those two guys. I find that scene really funny. Yeah, actually, I was asking a question, a movie-related question to that scene, and you said, this is my favorite scene. And then you sort of sat up and smiled at the TV. Yeah, I do.
Starting point is 00:45:44 It's because Roman has Paul Walkerer what the fuck is his name brian o'connor brian o'connor's like federal cop id and he's like hey i need to i need to get in here and have a look at some evidence and the guy's like that says you're caucasian he goes this is a tan it's a tan you like that gay and that well that just kicks off Just a classic Fully improvised for sure What did you think of the scene Alice? Yeah I didn't think it was that good But I respect your opinion
Starting point is 00:46:16 And I love to hear it Have you got one? Yeah It's the wet kiss Oh yeah You wanted to get horny during this movie i do think they're weirdly asexual the movies yes they are especially the the longer they run the less sexy they become and it is but almost to the point of becoming a point of frustration because
Starting point is 00:46:40 you are like you've assembled all these good looking people. It would introduce such an alive and electric, assuming the performances were up to it, like currents that could run through them about these relationships. It's very bizarre. Like, I think I have a memory from the space one of Michelle and Vin maybe kissing or something. Oh yeah, but it feels alien. Their relationship is really on the fucking fritz.
Starting point is 00:47:03 And this one when vin gets with elsa you don't even see them kiss or anything they just show up holding hands yeah but when he when he shows up at her house halfway through to take his uh cross that's horny that's horny that's really cool i was a little bit worried in that scene because i was like it felt rapey like it felt like a precursor he's got his hand over him yeah exactly but one of those ways we were like where's this going but then you remember it's vin and it's okay you'll be fine but either i thought the wet kiss was lovely and natural genuine chemistry it looked like maybe it would go further in a way that I really enjoyed. It was kind of a tease. Han and Gal Gadot, I guess.
Starting point is 00:47:46 There's a moment. Oh, that's weird. But there's a moment when they have good chemistry. It's not at the end when they're hooking up on the auto button. There's a moment where they look at each other with a look of acknowledgement that they're going to have sex as characters. And I thought that read for me tonight. Not my shining light, though.
Starting point is 00:48:01 Yeah. My shining light actually is after Gal's after gal gadot's got uh ray s the big villain's handprint on her bikini back and her and han take it back to ludicrous and roman or whatever and they show they show it but like i just think it's such a funny detail what the movie chooses to to sell to you that you're like as Yeah, like we have to make sure that the audience believes that this is true. And so Gal Gadot was holding like a blue light torch, whatever, and it's shining... Ultraviolet.
Starting point is 00:48:32 Yeah, shining it on the back of the bikini. Oh, no, it's a black light, sorry. Yeah, shining it on the back of the bikini box and you can see like the indent of the handprint. And I'm just like, every time I saw it, I'd always think, why are you doing... Like, We understand. It's all very Sherlock Holmes-y, that little bit.
Starting point is 00:48:50 It's very stupid. And then at the same time, Ludacris is setting up his awful running bit of, did he tap that arse or did he grab it or whatever? Which he repeats after finding out that Mia is pregnant. But to be fair to him him it killed in the room it did but everyone cracked up, in the movie everyone cracks up
Starting point is 00:49:10 before we go can I ask about, it's inspired by that observation the feeling of you know I don't remember 7 minutes to midnight right now I want everyone to know hopefully it's a 6 minute question you know when there's an opportunity for a joke or whatever and then it happens less i think as you get older or as you
Starting point is 00:49:30 maybe become a professional community but in your head you're like should i i should say the joke should i say the joke and you know there'll be some great jokes that you formulate in your head that you don't say in the moment passes and then you kick yourself and then there are other jokes do you remember the last time i said there are other jokes where you're like i should say the joke and then you say it and it bombs and it tanks do you know that feeling i know that feeling honestly i'm pretty good at judging the moment i think i would say i err on the side of caution oh wow so there's untold jokes out there yeah uh yeah yeah and then i just forget i think yeah i think i don't think before i speak yeah nice and often when i do it it bombs well i mean that's that's a fact of life i mean tim i i got a question for you i mean
Starting point is 00:50:22 do you know how people like alice know do you know how we roll i don't want to be included in this because it's kind of like that that's how we roll i don't want to be included in this we roll like this i remain frustrated well why don't you go look at a video of two guys sucking each other off i might alice there's plenty of them available it's been a pleasure in the room Make a night of it You leave him out of this Goodbye everybody Siding under the covers We're done
Starting point is 00:50:54 The Rock Paul Walker Cocksucking compilation Oh god Imagine Oh that would be heaven 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
