Starting point is 00:00:00 The Does it make you want to climb a mountain? It sort of makes you want to deliver a news bulletin while climbing a mountain or something. It's stirring quite a lot. This is the theme song for the good news. This just only ruined, we solved climate change. We did it. Yeah. It turns out there were people working behind the scenes the whole time and they got the
Starting point is 00:00:59 message across. No one had anything to worry about. And do you know the best part? What? We don't need to change anything about our lifestyle. Yes! Keep buying everything. Can you imagine that, Judas?
Starting point is 00:01:10 Keep driving. Keep flying. Do what you're doing. Fly more. Fly more. Fly without any reservations about the catastrophic impact. Don't make a reservation. Turn up at the airport and say, I want to get on the plane.
Starting point is 00:01:24 This is mad Tim because I've never actually visualized a news broadcast where someone said like I've never imagined a world where they're like hey we sorted it. How good would that be? It behooves me at this point in time to say thank you very much to look that's eyeliner that is the track Los Angeles it's a beautiful song it's such a great track such a great track welcome along to the worst idea of all time presents good time good times yeah so we've had bad times for over a decade it's been ten years of bad times you know I was actually talking to someone on the phone while I was on my way here.
Starting point is 00:02:08 And I said, I was going around to Tim's house. Yep. And they said, what are you doing there? And there was genuine concern in their voice. Yeah. And I said, don't worry, whatever we want. Yeah. I said, we're not watching a movie.
Starting point is 00:02:22 No. I said, we're doing it for pleasure this time. Yeah. That's what I said. It's and you know what and you know what they said? What? They said, that's awesome. You've hurt yourselves enough. That's what they said. This I feel like you're talking to yourself this first like guy chat. No, this was my manager. Oh, really? I was talking to Beck. Good on you, Beck. Good on you, Beck. That's so nice. So what we have, Tim and I, couple of cups of steaming hot Java. Here's looking at you. And you also. An acrid black coffee with no milk, honey or sweetener of any kind. Artificial sweetener is not that big here in New Zealand. That's huge over in Japan, I was having gum syrup. Oh, here. Okay. Here he is. Yeah. When were you in Japan, guy? Recently. Yeah, you were.
Starting point is 00:03:14 Depends when you listen to this. I loved it. I get because you just, the coffee culture there is not what you'd expect. You know, everything's so high end and the coffee largely. And I say this respectfully trash. Yeah. And so you just get coffee, you know, you're just getting ice coffees wherever you're just putting in creamer and I'm living like an American. Yeah. And Japan. Although I showed a lot more respect for the culture than you know, Americans traditionally do. Hashtag not all Americans. Yeah. Some of you guys are great. I tell you what I didn't do. What drop a single nuclear weapon. Oh, I had a great time with the bidets. First
Starting point is 00:03:53 bidet I used. It was piping hot. Wow. Yeah. It's not good. I was I was shocked. And then I'd ask because they always piping hot and Josie said, no. Was it a bidet then? Yeah, I just took a kettle into the toilet and sorted myself out. Did that hurt? How hot was it? Your anus is such a sensitive bit of the human anatomy. It was hot enough for me to be like, I've, it was, it was the temperature where I thought, do you know what? When everyone was telling me about the days, I thought they would have mentioned that it's hot. That's how hot it was.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Wow. Now you were in Japan during a real hit. Speaking of climate change, it was hot out when you were there. It was, yeah. 38, 30. 38, 100% humidity. The real feel, which is my local friend Tim Lamborn was telling me he's all about that real feel. 42. And honestly,
Starting point is 00:04:53 yes too hot. Also frustrated not to be there on a 40. No, frustrated not to rack up 40 points. Oh you wanted to just to say I've done it. Yeah okay. You know. Have you done a 40 degree day? I don't think so. I think that's the hottest it's been for me. 38, so hot. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So hot, especially when it's humid. What's that in Fahrenheit, do you know? It's gotta be 105. That's a lovely guess. This is a fun game. I'm gonna say it's 100.
Starting point is 00:05:15 I'm gonna say 38 is exactly 100. Okay, well let's figure it out. And by figure it out, I mean go on the internet because the internet hasn't fallen over yet. No, my guess is we've got about four years left. Okay. Here's the deal. No more internet.
Starting point is 00:05:32 Yep. Climate change solved. Do you take it? Yes. They're both awesome options. 38 degrees Celsius in Fahrenheit. 100.4 points to Montgomery. What? Oh, a hundred point four.4. Well done, mate.
Starting point is 00:05:47 Thank you. Appreciate that. You gave the guess around which I could anchor. Take the win, baby. If not for your guess, it would have been a lot more challenging. You gave a number. Is Fahrenheit... Because, you know, a fun game, right? OK, hold on for a second.
Starting point is 00:06:02 Fahrenheit, is it... Because centigrade is based on the boiling point of water a hundred yeah and the freezing point at zero yeah it's a lovely system we love that is Fahrenheit based on the temperature of the human body because this is what a hundred is right it's like you know average 37.5 I've never interrogated the logic of Fahrenheit I've just always written it off hmm Hmm. It's, you know. Someone will know out there. Fahrenheit.
Starting point is 00:06:28 Don't get in touch. Yeah, the Fahrenheit and the Imperial. It's like, you guys fought for this? These are the shackles you were trying to break. It's like logical systems that can make sense to anyone. Yeah. So a fun game, I think. Okay. That can make sense to anyone. Yeah, so a fun game. I think okay, and this is a game I played at a Melbourne International Comedy Festival
Starting point is 00:06:49 Over lunch after a game of social football. Yep. It was called on the board and I just want to credit these people I played with Tim Key Paul Williams Steen Raskopoulos and Mark Watts and the five of us went out for it Who will be cancelled first chicken palmer. Yeah, it's a fun game. Probably you. Oh, come on. What? Just saying. Why?
Starting point is 00:07:09 Statistically. Why me? Sorry, I just it's fine. Paul. I don't mean it. Paul's got there's got to be dirt on Paul. I don't know. He's too clean living.
Starting point is 00:07:18 No, he's he's hiding a secret. He's flawless. He's Paulus. No, he's Paul E. He's full of Paul. He's Paulful. I'm Paulus. No, he's Paulie. He's full of Paul. He's Paulful. I'm Paulus. No, he's Pauliant. They don't all work.
Starting point is 00:07:31 The game was called On The Board. And basically, you name a city. Rio de Janeiro. Athens. Okay, Athens. You went first. Athens. And now we both guess the population of Athens. Okay, you went first. Athens. And now we both guess the population of Athens.
Starting point is 00:07:48 I'm going to say 2.5 mil. Okay, I'm going to say Athens contains a population of 4 million people. All right. Athens, 4 million, maybe more. I'm going to say five. Five million versus 2.5. Here we go. And the population of Athens is five million.
Starting point is 00:08:12 The metro area population of Athens in 2022 was three million, 154,000. So you were so close guy. Ish. I was. Yeah, I was closer. So were 600,000 people off. I'm now on the board. The aim of the game of on the board is to get on the board. And if you're not on the board after a full cycle,
Starting point is 00:08:34 you'll just never know what it's like to be on the board. Do we keep doing cities or are the other sort of question categories? Now we do another city. So now we'll do Rio de Janeiro. Okay, here we go. 12. Okay And so if you don't get this then you're eliminated and I won on the board because you know
Starting point is 00:08:49 Because you didn't get on the board. It's the end of the game You'll never know what it's like to be on the board However, if there is closer to 12 million than 8 million people in Rio, I'm on the board and we'll go to a tiebreaker This is exciting. Rio de Janeiro population as of 2020. Yeah Six point seven four eight million Rio de Janeiro population as of 2020. Yeah. 6.748 million. Fuck. So Tim. You're quite good at this.
Starting point is 00:09:10 You will never know what it's like. Yeah, to be on the board. To be on the board. We never playing again? I don't think so. Okay, well then it's time to mention our sponsor for this show. Oh yes. Which we think.
Starting point is 00:09:21 We got a sponsor. We think we did. It's Mosh. Well, we're pretty sure we're sponsored by mosh. We think we're sponsored by mosh. Mosh brain bars. Did you look around to see if there was any product here? Yeah, there isn't.
Starting point is 00:09:33 Okay, that's fine. We don't need to. I've got I think I have a product. This isn't a sponsor. But this is something I brought for you. Okay. I recently stayed in a hotel, a present. This isn't a product, but it's something I
Starting point is 00:09:49 brought for you. You call it a gift. It's I stayed in a nice hotel for a job. I was filming a TV show in Melbourne called Thank God You're Here. I think you love to say it. And they worried about the blaspheming. They put you up in such a nice hotel and the hotel is so nice that when you go out in the evening you come back and they've got chocolates. You know, this is like, this is what your head hotels
Starting point is 00:10:14 were like when you were a kid, that there'd be a chocolate. Chocolate's everywhere. There'd be a chocolate like on the pillow. Not on the pillows, they're next to the pillows. So that- It was on the pillow? It's not on the pillow. Okay.
Starting point is 00:10:24 It's on the little table next to the bed. Oh, and I ate one of them and it was fantastic. It was so good that I thought I'm going to save this other one and I put it in my bag and I flew it back to New Zealand. I didn't declare it. That's illegal. That is Chelsea. My partner once had to pay a $400 fine because she forgot she had a pair in her bag. Really? Yeah. Did they enforce that? Yeah. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:10:46 She said, the, the, the lady with the dog said, have you got anything in your bag? And Chelsea said, I don't think so. Maybe a pear. And then they made it like, cause sometimes it could be, you just had a pear in there historically and it still smells like pear and you can get away with fibbing. That's true. She was like, I think I might have a pear. And so the lady made her open her bag and there was a pear in there.
Starting point is 00:11:05 And they charged her for that. Yeah. An Australian pair, $400 and get this not even allowed to eat it. Oh, anyhow, you could really enjoy it. I accidentally, could you enjoy a pair you paid $400 for against your will? I would insist upon enjoying it. If it cost me $400, I would ensure that I enjoyed the pair.
Starting point is 00:11:30 Anyway, in fact, there's something to that. Tell me. Well if they charged $400 per pear suddenly pears would be delicious. Yeah. Inarguably tasty. Yeah. Because they cost $400 each. I brought a banana to the UK, ate it. No one saw it. No one cares. No. They don't care if you're bringing fruit in there. No. No. They've already got all the fruit flies. But anyway, sorry. So. Anyhow, I got this back in and then you wanna know the truth? Mm-hmm. I found it about five minutes ago when I was going through my bag. Legend. And I thought I could present this to Tim. Yeah. How honest of you? As content. Alright. You know content? I'm aware of it, I've heard of it. I kind of create that. Okay guy, it's called couve, chocolate. I think I'm saying that right. C-U-V-E-E. Now do you like your chocolate dark? I do like a dark chocolate, not absurd though.
Starting point is 00:12:25 Okay, I think you're gonna like- You know how some people are like, this is 80% cacao, it's like you're eating- Yeah, you're not eating chocolate, you're eating something healthy. Weird flower stuff. Quite hard to open with one hand, so I'm gonna use two. Oh, and then we get a bit of-
Starting point is 00:12:37 Yeah, bit of ASMR. And it will be cut in an unusual shape from memory. It is. Yeah. Is that a trapezoid? Is that what they're called? Could be. One, two, three, four uneven sides.
Starting point is 00:12:53 Is that a rhombus? Could be a rhombus. Marv, you eat this? Yeah, that's good. That's the thinking. It's good chocolate, hey? It's really yummy. Don't know why they're giving you dark chocolate
Starting point is 00:13:04 before bed. What do you mean? This gives you energy Dark chocolate. Yeah gives you more Dark chocolate gives you energy. Yeah, all chocolate gives you energy dark chocolate gives you more energy. Does it? Yeah, do you remember? When you were a kid, there was a red like Cabri was basically the only game in town. Yes.
Starting point is 00:13:27 And I thought Cabri was a New Zealand brand because I knew there was a Cabri factory in Dunedin. Yeah. Turns out British, we were miles off. Yeah. I think in Birmingham, that's HQ. Okay. Learned that watching the Commonwealth games.
Starting point is 00:13:38 Well done, you. What am I carrying this stuff around for? It's important for times like this. Okay. So there was all the blocks of purple and you got coconut rough, you got you know, whatever the other flavors are, dairy milk, coconut, right? I've never seen a coconut rough Capri block in my life. There was that was the mother. Yeah, that was the one mom used to go for. Oh, wow. I got into it.
Starting point is 00:14:00 I don't like the texture of coconut. Yeah, that's different conversation. There was one block called energy red wrapper 70% dark chocolate. Yo, I do remember that the whole branding point was that this is the chocolate you eat if you need energy This other chocolate. This is a this is for pleasure. Yeah, this is a this is a work chocolate. Yeah, this is a working day chocolate This is the chocolate you take to the office. So based on that branding Rapper. Yeah dark chocolate gives you energy. Guy's brain is gone. Dark chocolate. Well, energy. It's not unreasonable.
Starting point is 00:14:30 I know we don't give all of dark chocolate before bed. Okay. But this is based on your decision making. No, no, no, that's independent. Okay. Right on. I don't know if it's true or not. It's true. So there's something about the like, there's the energy and you know, yeah, there's energy, there's energy. What's the relationship between? Okay, so chocolate, this is
Starting point is 00:14:53 probably going to be quite stupid. And I'd love for you to enlighten me on this. I hope you got some knowledge here. Chocolate comes from cacao, right? Yeah, we just cocaine come from the cocaine plant. Is from? The cocaine plant. Is it called the cocaine plant? I don't know where cocaine comes from. You think it just grows on trees?
Starting point is 00:15:14 That's what I say if someone has just huffed up a huge bag of cocaine in front of them. Where do you think this comes from? You think it grows on trees? This is a segment of the show called, we're gonna look it up. Cause we're gonna look it up. Cause it's gonna drive me crazy and the listeners also. So if you'd be so kind guy, if you could just punch in what plant does cocaine come from?
Starting point is 00:15:36 Because in my head, it's also the cacao plant and I can't both. Coca. Coca. Coca, okay. Coca leaf. Got it. So it's spelt differently. Yep. Probably spelt, said and are different.
Starting point is 00:15:52 It's yeah, so that it is. It's one of the big things. Hey, mystery solved. Congratulations us. Pretty similar. I can see how the confusion occurred. Yeah, you know what I mean? You were supposed to take a sip then. Oh, sorry. Seeing as we're doing words, Tim. And before we get to our sponsor. Oh, yeah. We mentioned the sponsor, but we need to do the sponsor message. You want to do the sponsor first and then the word? Patrick Schwarzenegger, son of Arnold, friend of ours, face of
Starting point is 00:16:19 our tattoos upon our buttocks. Yes. He's started a fantastic brand. Mosh. Rufus is excited about it. That's right. This guy loves protein. Think smart, snack smarter. You have to let him in or else he'll just keep barking at you.
Starting point is 00:16:39 I'm so sick of everyone snacking dumb. Oh. Everyone's foolishly snacking. That's right. That's an issue. So, does that matter? Did that screen go on? Who's to say?
Starting point is 00:16:53 You're not worried about it. Oh, you're back. Mosh is high protein. You know, these are, it's got vitamins B12 and D3, Omega threes, Ashwagandha and lion's mane and cognizant citicaline. Really good stuff. Which is a naturally occurring nutrient that plays a crucial role in a variety of brain functions.
Starting point is 00:17:16 This now there's a trademark, there's a registered next to the word cognizant and the option to learn more, which either means it's really good. Yes. Or be careful. I'm not going to find out which one it is. Your mind our mission. After seeing a loved ones battle with Alzheimer's, they created this bar because of Alzheimer's. Okay, we created mosh the brain brand to inspire and educate you to proactively maintain your brain health with a protein bar together with your purchase. We fund Alzheimer's research to make a difference for all generations. These are good guys
Starting point is 00:17:48 Now if you're interested you can shop now, we do not have a code No, so when you are buying the bar pay full price pay full price We don't actually have a code for you to put in there's no discount But whoever you're buying it from you need to tell them But whoever you're buying it from, you need to tell them, tell me guy sent me. Yeah, you can subscribe. You can subscribe to these bars. Look, we haven't. There's a subscription to the bars?
Starting point is 00:18:12 We haven't figured out exactly how the cart works. That's for later on. The big one is we don't have a code yet. Yeah. You know. But what we do have is a product. Well, we've got a great product here and you can also preorder their new puzzle books. They're doing puzzle books.
Starting point is 00:18:29 I would argue the puzzle books probably more helpful for preventing Alzheimer's than the bars. But the point is, they work in tandem. It's a hyperlink and the puzzle books, it's a totally different thing. It's Maria Shriver's got a page with Sudoku. They're a good sponsor. We assume. Yeah, we appreciate them sponsoring this show. We hope. Absolutely. And I can't wait to eat one of these mosh bars. That's right. I've been seeing Patty Schwartz. He's traveling around the world commenting on how many grams of protein are in different protein bars that he
Starting point is 00:19:01 comes across. I think he was in Thailand maybe. He said there's 14 grams of protein. 45 grams, 45 grams. 45 grams, which first off seems impossible to me. Well, I think that's why he was posting about it. He was holding it and it was the size of, you know, a regular bar. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:19 Anyhow, they meticulously formulate mosh protein bars with functional brain and body nutrients. It's a hobby. No, damn it. It's not a hobby. It's our passion. This is like energy chocolate. It's work bars. Yeah, this is good stuff. Work for your brain. Yeah. Mosh. Work for your brain.
Starting point is 00:19:37 Mosh. Get in there. And work for your brain. Yeah. So, Tim, the other feature of this, these sort of these, I suppose you could call them conversations. Yes. Is that what we're doing? It's a show. It's a couple of guys. Yeah, we're on a show. We're on our show. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:52 It's our time. Kia ora. Talofa. It's not a sponsor, but I thought a nice thing to do. Yeah. Get a word up there. Yes. See where it takes us. Word of the day is very important.
Starting point is 00:20:05 That's right. For our brain health. Yes, because this is a podcast about brain health. Five things I'm doing with my life. Ashwagandha B12 Omega Sudokus written prepared by Maria Shriver. Surely not. And Word of the Day. And the bar had lion's mane in it. We sort of skimmed over that, but it said lion's mane. Do you know what that is? Here? It's a mushroom. Ah.
Starting point is 00:20:29 It's a good one. Yeah, well, it's confusing. Anyway, today, thanks to hardworking people at random wordgenerator.com, we're talking steak. No shit, we're talking steak. Fantastic. S-T-E-A-K. When's the last time you ate a steak?
Starting point is 00:20:46 Oh, man. We get them from time to time. I went vegan for six months for a very specific reason. Which was? No one believed me when I did it. Because it's important to do kind of extreme things every now and then to reset your baseline. So that's what I did.
Starting point is 00:21:03 I was eating too much red meat. Wow. And I was like, I'll go vegan. And. So that's what I did. I was eating too much red meat. Wow. And I was like, I'll go vegan and I'll pop out the other end and I'll eat red meat again, but less. And? It worked, but I should probably do it again
Starting point is 00:21:13 because now I am eating too much red meat again. Is it, and are you concerned by that because it's bad for the environment, which by the way, I found out recently we solved, or are you worried about your organs? Well, now I'm just me because we fixed Earth. Yeah. That's done.
Starting point is 00:21:27 Yeah. I just found that out 20 minutes ago. So that's all solved thanks to the song. Yes. By Eyeliner. That's incredible. Los Angeles. It told me.
Starting point is 00:21:35 So you have steak from time to time. Yeah. Who cooks it? How do they do it? Me. Okay. We've got a... I've got a cast iron skillet. Yeah. That.
Starting point is 00:21:47 Do you, how do you wash it? Get it real hot. Huh? How do you wash it? Oh, I'm so glad you asked. Thought you would be. Got a lot of cast iron stuff, a lot of cast iron pans. The only way you can wash it is you get it fricking hot. Put it under water. Put the pan under water when it's... Well, don't put it under water, put a tap on it and then you wait. There's a lot of energy gets produced during that... Satisfying noise. You gotta wait for a little bit so that it's not gonna melt your plastic dish brush.
Starting point is 00:22:16 For it to get cool enough for that and then you lift all the grease, your top grease off. And then do you oil it? I haven't seasoned them in a long time. It's quite a process. Because it takes a long time and you've got to get the oven up to like as hot as your oven will go. Use coconut oil, previously, and it kind of smokes out the house. And we got really sensitive smoke alarms. I bought some new ones. It's kind of a good thing, but it can be pretty irritating.
Starting point is 00:22:42 And then some nights you get so irritated you take them out and that undermines the whole reason. Exactly. So you hit a parable, isn't it? Smoke alarm, you want smoke alarms to be in the Goldilocks zone. If they do their job too well. Yeah, they're gone. Get rid of them. What's like longer in the house. It's like living with a hypochondriac. Go on. You throw them out. No, no, no. It's like, it's like every time anything happens. Like, oh, it's a fire. It's gonna be a dog. I'm gonna be a dog. I'm not gonna be a dog. I'm not gonna be a dog. I'm not gonna be a dog. I'm not gonna be a dog.
Starting point is 00:23:10 I'm not gonna be a dog. I'm not gonna be a dog. I'm not gonna be a dog. I'm not gonna be a dog. I'm not gonna be a dog. I'm not gonna be a dog. I'm not gonna be a dog. I'm not gonna be a dog. I'm not gonna be a dog roaming around. And so when you went vegan six months, did it impact your energy?
Starting point is 00:23:27 This is, this is Rogan now we're on Rogan. We're on Rogan. And that's important because that's how you get podcast listeners. We're talking steak. Yeah. We're talking veganism. Yeah. And we, uh, we haven't decided what side we come down on it yet.
Starting point is 00:23:42 I can't remember my energy levels being much affected. I think when you go vegan, when you do anything like that, you pay a little bit more attention to what you eat and that's good. So is it more salad? Tell you that. That's not bad. When you're not thinking about things,
Starting point is 00:23:55 you don't eat salad. Do you eat salad? Yeah. Oh, you do actually. I actually do, yeah. Yeah. I'll use I statements. I don't eat salad.
Starting point is 00:24:02 I don't think much about, I don't consciously think much about what I eat. Yeah. You've got a great diet. I've got a mental regulator that's going, hey, we should, you know, we had this. You've got a good diet. I love a pastry. You love a patisserie. Yeah, there's nothing wrong with that. Nothing wrong with that from time to time.
Starting point is 00:24:16 Last time I checked, there's nothing wrong with that. Well. I want to say I was a vegetarian for nine years. Didn't make one iota of difference to my energy or my bowel movements. Is that why you were? OK, cheers. Is that why you were doing it? Tidy up the shit? I did it because I did an ad for McDonald's and before I did the ad I did a little bit of research, not into McDonald's, just into you know meat. Yeah. Because I was like I'm sprucing for this. Yeah. And I decided I needed the money but I wanted to do something as penance.
Starting point is 00:24:46 Yeah. And so I was like, I won't eat meat for, I can't remember how long, as long as the ad was out, I think was my condition. So it was like, you know, that was going to be six months, I guess. Damn, that's wild. Then I just keep going. Or are you? I was in McDonald's yesterday, I think. And I thought to myself about, is there an argument for
Starting point is 00:25:06 McDonald's being sustainable because they've figured out the most efficient possible process of getting calories into the population. If you think about a cafe, a lot of faff, a lot of inefficiency. McDonald's have looked at every part of their chain and they're like, how do we, what is the most efficient way to get this disgusting cow product into a mouth? Yeah. I mean, I, I, I don't disagree. I think, you know, McDonald's was like Facebook. It's just a guy was like, what about
Starting point is 00:25:47 this? People like this. And then it got no idea how big it was going to get. And it got so big that all of a sudden, it's, you know, it's making decisions. It's responsible for a far greater, you know, number of the population than it ever set out to be. Yeah. And you're not, you know, you're a small business, you're not actually armed to deal with the flow and effect of becoming this massive monolith. Or they apparently are, because they've been killing it for ages. And by it, I mean cows and maybe humans.
Starting point is 00:26:16 Yeah. But the good news is, as mentioned at the start of the podcast, we just found out climate change sorted. Here's my other thing about that, right? Not climate change. If stuff like fast food was as bad as everyone told me it was, I think I'd be dead by now. Cause you, you, you just, you don't, you eat it. I ate heaps of it. Yeah. And you're still, you're keeping it tidy.
Starting point is 00:26:46 What's your secret? Genetics. Have you noticed your metabolism slowing down at all as you age? No, but I did. I got a gym membership for the first time in my damn life. What do you do down there? Uh, I had a personal trainer for a little bit, but then she moved away and I hope it wasn't related to me. Yeah. It wasn't.
Starting point is 00:27:02 Um, she's her and her fantastic ass, which I keep grabbing moved away for reasons that were not explained. I want to say Bulgarian. Yeah. Deadlifts was that? No, not, but it's some country beginning with, is you just, I don't know. It's like a, you lift up a heavy object. A bit of that.
Starting point is 00:27:18 Weights. Weights. And, uh, leg presses. Yeah. Wow. Supposed to do leg curls. I hate them, so I don't do them. There's a rowing machine going there occasionally.
Starting point is 00:27:30 Crazy. I've still not been to a gym. I'm just going to do a year of it and then just have stuff at home. Do you have a desire to get swole? No. No, I just don't want to throw my back out, which is ironic because, um, I fucked my back at the gym with the personal trainer One day and kind of couldn't do much for a week. So you're you're looking at long-term maintenance
Starting point is 00:27:53 I got two kids guy. I want to be able to pick them up and throw them in the air when they're like 18 Yeah, exactly up to and including. We're able to my big baby boy up in the air on his 18th. And we're feeding them... Steak. Steak. So they're big. Does Remy eat steak? He's eaten a little bit of steak, but I'm getting him onto mince and cheese pies. Oh yeah. See, it's funny isn't it? Cause steak's healthy.
Starting point is 00:28:22 What about you? And a mince and cheese pie technically isn't. What about you? What's your relationship to steak? Love it. I love it. The thing about when I was vegetarian for nine years, the knowledge that I like meat and think it's one of the premium flavors never left me.
Starting point is 00:28:35 And you're a food guy. Like you get a lot of joy out of food. The whole time I was just like, you know how I stopped being vegetarian. COVID-19, I'm cooking for like, Chels and Olive, you know, and I'm making like- This is guys partner in Steep Door. And you know, I'm making them, you know,
Starting point is 00:28:55 whatever like a spag bowl or, you know, something with meat in it. And then I'm making a little, one on the side with mushroom, you know, some protein supplement. And then at one point I was cooking, I was just cooking up some chicken sausages at lunch. And the chicken sausages looked and smelled so good.
Starting point is 00:29:12 And I took that there was six in a packet and I took them out of the pan and I had them just resting on like a paper, you know, getting for the next, to serve to them. And I looked at one of the chicken sausages, this is in lockdown, we're sort of, you know, a few months into lockdown. And I just pick up a sausage.
Starting point is 00:29:28 Now I just eat some of the sausage. And then Chelsea comes in and I'm eating the sausage. She goes, what are you doing? And I felt so busted. Because I think in my head I was like, I'll just eat this secretly. And I was like, I'm eating the sausage. She's like, you're eating the sausage?
Starting point is 00:29:42 I go, yeah, I eat the sausage now. You eat the sausage now? I am the one who knows. And then I go, yeah, I eat the sausage now. You eat the sausage now? I am the one who loves. And then I thought, well, as long as we're in lockdown, I'll eat meat. And it was fantastic. Did you feel any guilt? No.
Starting point is 00:29:53 And then we got out of lockdown, and I just kept eating meat. Yeah, get on, you legend. I thought maybe we'll just eat meat for the rest of the year. And then it was the next year, and I thought, wow. Meat's pretty good. I love meat. And so now, funny enough, the best steak I can remember having recently was cooked by Chelsea's dad.
Starting point is 00:30:10 Far out. He hit it out of the park. He's a fantastic cook. Right. An inspiration to us all. How, so what is the secret to a good steak? As far as you know. Just cook it right.
Starting point is 00:30:17 You gotta cook it right, folks. This one people are getting wrong. Yeah. Which, is this my camera? That's your camera. You gotta cook it right. Yeah, don't cook it wrong. Don't cook it wrong. Don't cook it long. it right. Yeah. Thanks to mosh. Hey, do you know that? So we got time for but don't worry
Starting point is 00:30:31 We're gonna be back really soon with another episode and an exciting new segment more good times here It's called the forgotten out of the phone call and it's something to look forward to Bye to look forward to. Bye!
