All right, Anna.
Well, we begin with unfortunate disturbing news.
And what's even more unfortunate about this is it's not the first time.
We got to talk about yet another American citizen getting killed in the West Bank.
the West Bank. Over the weekend, the State Department confirmed that Hamis Ayyad, a Palestinian
who died due to complications from smoke inhalation after trying to put out a fire started
by allegedly Israeli settlers in a village in the West Bank. I confirmed that he was a U.S.
citizen. Is the U.S. State Department calling on Israel to investigate this death? Has this
issue been raised with Israeli authorities? Well, we have made comments before. There have been, you know,
It's a violent situation.
There have been a few Americans who've passed in this kind of a dynamic.
The American citizens in the West Bank that she is referring to have not passed.
They were killed by terrorist, Israeli settlers, to be specific, in the West Bank.
Now, today, State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce was asked to comment on the death of yet another Palestinian American who was killed in the West Bank
by the name of Kamis Ayyad, and this person again was killed by Israeli settlers, and you just
heard part of her response. So before I go to you, Jank, before we get to the rest of the story,
let's hear a little more about what she has to say, and just pay close attention to the
complete lack of substance and, of course, a complete lack of accountability for Israel.
Our first priority, and it's not a motto or slogan, is the safety and security of Americans everywhere.
So certainly here at home, but also abroad.
We know that when a death occurs in a foreign country, it's that foreign country's prerogative right,
they will be doing an investigation.
We have called upon Israel to investigate, of course, each of these instances that they are,
and that we are, we wait to see what those investigations will be, and that's the case here in this situation.
There's a great deal we, we, of course, still don't know, but we, that is something to say we're following it is an understatement.
We are on that and every other situation that has impacted an American citizen, wherever they may be in the world.
And then once those local investigations are done, and we take a look.
Again, this is a DHS issue, if you will, when it comes to investigations or the FBI.
But as each one of these situations move forward, I will keep everyone up to date.
The investigations typically lead to absolutely no consequences for the very murderers and terrorists who target and slaughter Palestinians in the West Bank.
Let's go to this graphic, which shows you that Yesh Dean, an Israeli rights group,
that examined more than 1,700 police investigations into offenses committed by Israelis
against Palestinians in the West Bank between 2005 and 2024, found that more than 93%
of cases were closed with no indictment filed, and that 3% of charged cases ended in convictions.
Only 3%, Jank.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So she reminded me with Jake Sullivan there under Biden.
Same kind of, blah, bra bra bra bra bra, Israel, our beloved ally, murder anyone
you like, okay?
So translation for what she just said is, yes, Israel is allowed to murder American citizens,
period.
There's never been any consequences.
They've done it again and again and again.
We're going to show you some evidence in a second.
There's never been one consequence, whether it's a Democratic president or a Republican president.
It doesn't matter at all.
So she might as well have gotten, I mean, if she was being honest, she would have gotten up there and said,
I can't say much because my government is occupied by the government of Israel.
We serve them.
So of course they're allowed to murder us.
They're allowed to murder Palestinians, they're allowed to murder Muslims and Christians and anyone else they like.
But my job is only to come out here and condemn people when it's Muslims that have committed
violence, in which case we call them dirty terrorist savages.
And we launch wars against them to help Israel and we wipe out all the Muslims.
And we help Israel do that.
But we will never hold them accountable for killing Americans.
They're allowed to do that with impunity.
Now, if you think that's an overstatement, you're just flat out wrong on the facts.
The facts are our governments have never held Israel accountable for murdering American citizens.
Whether you go all the way back to the American ship that they attacked.
USS Liberty.
That's right.
Or you go to American citizens in the West Bank that are murdered regularly by the terrorist.
known as Jewish settlers in the West Bank, they're fundamentalist religious nut jobs.
And our job is to kiss their ass, apparently, for the, if you work in the US government.
There's no denying any of this.
The only thing that mainstream media will say in return is ad hominem attacks.
You guys are stating the truth because you hate Jews.
That's not a thing.
Yeah, total smears.
Now, I should note that since October of 2023, there have been six American citizens
who have been killed in the West Bank, Kamis Ayat just happens to be the most recent.
Now, maybe there was some sort of physical altercation, maybe there's some sort of excuse
that these Israeli terrorists can cite for their reason for killing this guy, right?
Except no, that's not what happened. Apparently last Thursday, Israeli settlers attacked the village
of Silwad in the West Bank by setting homes and cars on fire.
Of course they did because they're terrorists. And by the way, terrorists, we fund. Go murder
Palestinians, go steal their land. Here's American taxpayer money to do it.
Now according to Ayat's cousin, settlers torched cars outside Ayat's home around dawn on Thursday.
Ayat woke up to put the, put out the fire. But then the Israeli army showed up at the scene
and started firing tear gas in his direction. Because they're also terrorists.
That's exactly right. They're there specifically to protect the Israeli settlers as they drive
Palestinians out of their homes as they literally set homes and cars on fire.
So Ion died from smoke inhalation from the fires. And again, he's the sixth American
to be killed in the West Bank since October 7th of 2023. And look, again, there's little
accountability, if any, when it comes to these types of situations. Let's take a quick
look at this chart, Jank, because this chart, which was released by the UN office for the
coordination of human affairs last April, or I'm sorry, April of this year is when they released
this, it shows the number of Israelis killed by Palestinians in blue. So that flat line at the very
bottom. And the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces or settlers in red. So the chart goes
all the way back to 2005. It helps you visualize who the real perpetrators of the violence
happened to be. As you can see, the violence started to spike in 2021 and escalated even further
after October 7th, 2023, with over 300 Palestinians murdered between that day and the end
of the year. Over 500 Palestinians were killed in total in 2023. In 2024, 498 Palestinians were
killed. But, you know, as I shared with you all earlier, no real consequences. Only 3% of the
investigations lead to actual convictions.

So I believe this is the seventh American killed since 23 in the West Bank.
Sixth.
Sixth.
Yeah.
Okay.
So six Americans dead, how much accountability have we gotten zero?
Imagine if Iran was killing American citizens with impunity.
I mean, we'd be at war with Iran right now.
All right, we would drop a nuke on them.
We would have murdered hundreds of thousands of Iranians by now, right?
If they had killed six Americans in cold blood.
And so the, you know, in this kind of situation, is usually the IDF shows up.
This people have called for help.
And in this case, hey, I'm an American citizen.
Oh, good.
The authorities have arrived to prevent the terrorists from murdering me.
No, the authorities have arrived to help the terrorist murder you.
And that's what the IDF did again.
Because remember, IDF has killed more civilians, 50 times of civilians that Hamas has since October 7, right?
So there are 50 times a terrorist.
They obviously intended to sniper shots to the head, to the chest, 2,000 pound bombs for starvation of an entire population.
If you're arguing that's not intent, you're a moron or a obvious liar, right?
Or mainstream media reporter.
So anyways, so that Israel is filled with terrorists.
Their entire government is terrorist.
The settlers are terrorists, the IDF are terrorists.
I'm just using objective definition of terrorism, killing civilians on purpose.
When you light someone's house on fire, I'm pretty sure that's on purpose,
and they're civilians and they're American civilians.
Doesn't matter, we're occupied, period.
If you're arguing otherwise, you just don't understand American politics.
And remember, we're talking about the West Bank here,
which wasn't governed by Hamas, but you know, you have American law-makers,
American lawmakers visiting, including, you know, House Speaker Mike Johnson, and claiming that,
you know, this is all about, what was it again, Judea and Samaria and how it belongs to the
Jewish people. So that's Mike Johnson. This is land theft. Okay, this is land theft. This is the
slaughter of innocent people in an effort to steal their land. That's it. That's what this is.
That's what the government has been sanctioning. That's what the government has been backing in Israel.
And by the way, today Donald Trump was asked, you know, would you support Israel reoccupying
all of Gaza, which Netanyahu announced that he intends to do?
And this is what Trump said.
That's going to be pretty much up to Israel.
Yeah, because you're Israel's little dog, okay?
On a leash, like a little bitch, just, you know, a mouthpiece for a foreign government,
a representative for a foreign government, not the president of the United States who has
interest in looking out for the American people and what's in the best interest of the American
people, but nothing more than a mouthpiece and a, and a dog for Israel. Go ahead, Jake.
Okay, so Mike Johnson's statement is basically saying from the river to the sea. That's what
Judea and Samaria means. That means Israel should wipe out the Palestinians of the West Bank
and Gaza Strip and make that part of Israel. That's a map that Netanyahu showed in the UN,
greater Israel, that includes occupied territories. So it is a plan for murder, slaughter,
ethnic cleansing, genocide, and land theft, and it's inarguable. That's literally what greater Israel map is.
We take those Palestinian land. And by the way, also parts of Lebanon and Syria. Oh, look at that.
Israel's now occupying parts of Lebanon and Syria. I'm sure it's all the wild coincidence
having to do with self-defense and not the giant map they have in their cabinets, in their
Knesset, what they brought to the UN saying, this is our intention to steal this land.
But American media and politicians are like, no, we work for Israel.
So no, ignore what they're saying.
And in fact, if you even repeat what Israeli officials say, you're an anti-Semite.
That's all they have, that's all they have.
They're a special ally, it doesn't mean anything.
So special allies are allowed to murder American citizens.
Now back to Trump, look, to give you guys a sense of, we're a fair show, we care about facts.
So if they held anybody accountable for the murder of American citizens, we tell you.
And we'd be like, all right, hey, look at that.
I can't believe it.
A Democrat or Republican held someone accountable for murdering an American citizen.
And so that would be, by the way, if it's any other country, we're going to war, right?
But if it's Israel, it would be remarkable if our government held them accountable.
Remarkable, it'd be near miraculous.
Wait, does that make you think, wait, that's so weird.
Why is that remarkable?
Why is that miraculous, right?
But when Trump defied Israel three times earlier in this administration, he cut him out of a deal with the Houthis,
with Hamas wants to return one American hostage, and he told them to stop bombing Iran.
We gave him enormous credit.
We're like, oh my God, there's Trump defying an order from the Israelis.
That's remarkable, and it looked like he was going in that direction.
Now, Netanyahu came and visited him the last time.
And I wonder what happened.
I do very much wonder what happened.
Then right after Netanyahu left, no, we're going back to following.
Everything Israel says, you can murder any Americans that you like, you can take Gaza, kill them all.
If you need to, finish the job is what Trump said.
The Epstein list will never be released.
There are no clients, you'll never find out about it, and Trump is back to being Israel's,
let's be kind, poodle, right?
No, bitch.
Okay, and that's- Look, I don't have, I don't just randomly out of nowhere hate Trump
and wanna come on this show and bash him.
When he does good things, he gets credit.
But when he humiliates the American people and he turns his back on American citizens who
have been slaughtered abroad, we're gonna call him what he is, just as we did with Joe Biden,
When American citizens were killed under his watch, and he didn't even release a damn statement about it.
Okay, last two things here. If you're a Democrat ran cover for Joe Biden as he financed the slaughter of innocent civilians in Gaza, you're pathetic.
If you're a Republican running for cover for daddy Trump, as he's obviously being Israel's bitch right now, you're pathetic.
And you're definitely not America first. You're Israel first. To be fair to you, our entire government is Israel first.
So I'm super happy to have people prove me wrong.
I'm super happy to have Trump prove me wrong.
And it's like, God damn it, what do you mean?
You kill the six American just in the last two years.
What do you mean you shot an American journalist in the neck with a sniper shot from 200 yards?
Okay, that also happened before October 7th.
That's it, I'm cutting your funding.
Oh my God, give him a enormous card and say, I'm sorry guys, I thought we were in occupied territory.
I thought our government worked for the Israeli government, but I was wrong, we held them accountable.
Oh my God, they're doing a genocide and we caught the funding.
We held them accountable.
Show me one place.
I showed you three times where Trump defined him and we were like, wow.
This is what Trump did, this is what Trump did yesterday, okay?
Trump had his Department of Homeland Security put out a memo indicating that any state or municipality that engages in the boycott against Israel or Israeli-based companies would be deprived of emergency funds if there's a natural disaster.
And they need those emergency funds.
In addition to that, about 500, how much was it?
500 million would go to Israel encounter terrorism.
And if you protest that, you'll also be punished.
Like what is that?
By the way, DHS reversed course after there was outcry.
And so look, the only thing that could potentially get Trump to do some good things or some
decent things is if there's outcry. By both the left, okay, but the left's outcry has always
been apparent. But more importantly, by the faction of his base that has been loud and angry
about what's been going on. Okay, I have tremendous respect for those people because they do
have Trump's ear. And if they're loud enough, they will get him to reverse course on some of
the most unhinged, unreasonable, and unjust things that he wants to do, not just on,
half of the American government, but to the American people.
Yeah, so last two things here.
So in what that proposal was yesterday and why it caused such outrages, okay, it's one thing
when they're murdering American citizens in the West Bank, right?
But this time they said if you don't bow, if state governments don't bow your head to Israel
and prevent anyone from boycotting the beloved Israel.
By the way, you could boycott America all you like, no problem.
But if you should, if anyone dares boycott Israel in your state, you have to, well, that's it,
It's over. We're not going to send you relief funds.
So if your house is wiped out in a tornado and your family's hurt, we don't care.
You didn't serve Israel enough.
Should have thought about that before you decided to boycott.
By the way, if a state or a city decides, you know, they don't want to invest their public funds in Israeli-based companies, why is there an assumption that everyone in that state or city is on board with that?
So you're going to even punish some of your support.
And there's nothing wrong with being on board with it.
I'm 100% on board with the boycott divest movement.
I want to be clear about that.
Yeah, the BDS movement is deeply moral.
Everyone who calls it anti-Semitic is a giant liar.
And a joke.
And a total joke.
And why are they most upset about that?
They label that like that triggers them more than anything else you say.
Why?
Because it touches economic interests and economic interest can work.
because that's how apartheid was taken down in South Africa.
So they're like, no, no, no, no, no, not the money, not the money that'll actually hurt us.
No way, no, that's it, anti-Semite, cancel them, arrest them, fire them, get, oh, they're dying in a flood, good, let them die.
They have to fight Israel, right?
And Maga got to a point where like, nah, brother, no, now you're going to kill Americans here if we don't serve Israel loyal enough.
Nah, and so for anybody on the left saying, oh, don't work with MAGA guys who are outraged by that, F you.
You're loathsome, okay?
If there's somebody on the right who is willing to hold Israel accountable, serve America,
and end a genocide, you have a moral duty to work with them.
If you don't, you're selfish prick, and you're saying, who cares about Palestinian lives?
No, I am going to be pure, I will not work with Tucker Carlson, no Marjorie Taylor Green or anyone else, because I'm so holy.
No, you're not, you're immoral.
Those guys are actually getting outrage on the Maga side, which is actually getting Trump
to reverse positions.
When's the last time we on the left got Trump to reverse a position?
I'll wait, okay?
I mean, look, be realistic.
It's normal, it's normal for a Republican president to not care with what individuals who
didn't vote for him have to say about anything.
But he is gonna care about his base, at least to some extent.
And so when it comes to reversing course on the, you know, BDS punishment, it does appear that MAGA persuaded the Trump White House to reverse course.
So we'll see if he sticks to it because who knows?
When no one's paying attention, they might put that little note in their memo again.
So we got to keep on guard when it comes to these issues because that's our money.
Okay, Israel's not entitled to our tax dollars.
Don't let anyone make you think that's the case.
Yeah, and look, beyond MAGA influencers or whoever they might be, the actual voters,
I know they're America first, they're not secretly, they're not lying to you, and secretly
they go home and go, oh my God, I love that we serve Israel.
I hope we keep America eighth.
No, the voters on the MAGA side, the independence, et cetera, let's work together.
If you're not willing to work together with people, with other American citizens, to end a genocide,
then yeah, I question your morals.
Okay.
I will do anything to end this genocide.
All right, we got to take a break.
When we come back, we'll talk about this effort to redraw the congressional map in Texas,
how Democrats are fighting back, and what is likely to happen.

And the golden pager came with a set of golden knee pads.
Well, I don't know if it's but doom, but it's devastating and it's true.
So I hope Donald Trump is, I mean, not I hope.
I know he's, and I don't hope.
But anyway, he's wearing out those knee pads.
It's just embarrassing, really.
Like it's embarrassing to be a so-called superpower.
We have this hegemonic power in the United States.
But do we?
Do we really?
Anyway, let's get to the next story.
I have signed the civil arrest warrants.
We will work with DPS to locate members.
The Texas Democrats ran into the fight by coming to Illinois to stand up for the people of our state.
You're running away from the fight.
You're running away from your jobs by not being in Austin today.
Yeah, no.
Abandoning your job is going to Cancun in the middle of a deadly freeze.
We have an opportunity in Texas to pick up five seats.
We have a really good governor and we have good people in Texas.
And I won Texas, I got the highest vote in the history of Texas, as you probably know.
And we are entitled to five more seats.
I don't know.
Strap in, we're about to take a little trip down gerrymandering lane, because you know
gerrymandering is a super sexy topic.
But in all seriousness, what's currently going down in the state of Texas is not only
drama filled, it's illiberal and an effort to essentially rig our political system in favor
of one specific party. Now, the Texas House reconvened today for a second consecutive day
with dozens of Democrats absent as part of a strategy to prevent Republicans in the state
house from redrawing U.S. House district lines in a way that favors their party. Now, the current
congressional map drawn by a Republican-dominated legislature in 2021 has netted 25 GOP seats in the last
to elections. But after pressure from President Donald Trump's team, Texas Governor
Greg Abbott directed lawmakers to redraw the map during the special legislative session,
which began on July 21st. So they call a special session to redraw the map. Typically after
the census is done every 10 years, that's when state lawmakers will redraw maps. And gerrymandering
does take place. I mean, if you look at how district maps are, or yeah, how district maps are drawn
in any state, it's insane and obviously done in a way to advantage one party or the other.
And I want to be clear, both parties do this. But the way that Texas is going about this is
just so brazen because they're doing it like not at all tied to the latest census report.
They're doing it in the, you know, in a special session. And they're just being flat out clear
and brazen about the fact that they're trying to pick up five additional congressional seats.
So as a result of that, more than 50 state Democrats travel, like they left the state.
They traveled to Illinois, Massachusetts, and New York to deny the Texas State House quorum.
So with so many lawmakers absent, the state house doesn't have the number of people necessary for
the chamber to advance legislation. So that's how the Democrats in the state are trying to
stall. So as a result, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has decided to carry out anti-democratic
and authoritarian maneuvers in response. He's threatening to have the Democrats expelled.
Remember, these are elected state lawmakers. And he had GOP lawmakers in the state vote to issue
civil arrest warrants. He's even calling on Cash Patel and the FBI to essentially round up these
Democrats from other states to bring them to justice in the state of Texas. Abbott said he
ordered state police to locate arrest and return to the House chamber, any member,
who has abandoned their duty to Texans.
The same tactic, by the way, was used against Democrats to force them to come back to work
back in 2021. At the time, the majority of them had left for Washington, D.C. in order to protest
the GOP's voting restrictions. Now, in addition to that, Abbott said in a statement that he was
ordering the Texas Rangers to immediately investigate fleeing House, Texas House Democrats,
for potential bribery and other potential legal violations connected to their refusal to appear
for a quorum. Nonetheless, the Democrats persist, even as they face a second day in which they
could be fined $500 for leaving their posts. The Democrats have sought to draw attention to
Republicans' effort to give their party five new safe seats. Those seats could help the GOP
maintain control of the U.S. House by offsetting potential electoral losses elsewhere around
the nation. Now, Abbott claims that Democrats could be violating bribery laws if they specifically
raised money to kind of keep them afloat as they're traveling out of state to prevent
quorum from being reached from the state house. It's also, by the way, important to understand
that the civil arrest warrants cannot be enforced beyond the jurisdiction of Texas authorities.
So if they're in a different state, that state doesn't have the right or the jurisdiction
to arrest them based on these warrants. Now, some lawmakers like state representative,
Mr. Representative Vicki Goodwin, a Democrat, said that they packed enough clothing to be out of the state for two weeks, and that's when the special session will end.
But even if Dems run out the clock, it's important to know that Republicans can just call for another special session, and Democrats in other states are trying to fight back in some ways, although I believe the big loser, regardless of what Democrats do, will be the voters, because voters in these states will be disenfranchised.
So the governors of California, Illinois, and New York have said that they are exploring their
options. Take a look at what they had to say.
All spare and love and more. That's why I'm exploring with our leaders. Every option to redraw
our state congressional lines as soon as possible. All bets are off when the cult leader and
would-be dictator of the United States tells Texas to midstream change the game when they know
that they're going to lose in 2026, all bets are off. Everything's got to be on the table.
This is existential. This is real life. Everything's on the line here. It's not a gross exaggeration.
I feel that in my bones. We're looking at three or four different pathways as it relates to the when
and the how. So these Democratic leaders, governors are essentially saying, well, if you're going
to redraw your map, then we're going to redraw ours, which I'm really looking,
forward to because the Democrats' stranglehold on the state of California, you know, just
wasn't strong enough. But go ahead. Yeah, no, I am looking forward to it. And so I don't
know if you remember this hand. I suggested this couple of years ago, and I think that there's a
silver lining in this story. When I suggested it, it was considered outrageous. I said the minute
the Republicans do a gerrymandering, an outrageous gerrymandering of a red state, we should do likewise
in a blue state. And at the time, people are like, oh, no, you can't. You can't. You
You can't, you can.
Now all of a sudden, it turns out we can.
I was right all along.
And why do you do that?
To make California cheat in favor of Democrats?
No, to get Texas to back down.
Okay, so look, if you're a voter and not a politician, it doesn't matter which part of
you're in, you should despise gerrymandering.
I do, I definitely do.
Okay, now why?
Because that's basically, instead of the voters picking their politicians, it's the politicians
the politicians picking their voters.
Yep.
So they could draw those lines knowing the demographic information in a way where
almost none of the seats are competitive.
Then the democracy, our democracy becomes a joke.
Exactly, that's exactly right.
Yeah.
And so what they do is they stuff, if you're in a red state, they stuff all the Democratic
voters into a couple of districts and they make the districts look like this and
some crazy, there's a dragon district and et cetera, et cetera, right?
And so now blue states can do likewise and stuff all the districts.
their Republican voters into a couple of districts and get a lot more votes.
Now is that really representative of Texas or California?
No. No, the whole point of gerrymandering is to make it unrepresentative and to
steal your vote away from you so that your vote is irrelevant.
And so the politicians, gerrymandering is a crime against democracy.
It is, it is.
Can I jump in on this because I want people to understand where I'm coming from on this
because I find what Texas is doing, illiberal, meaning against liberal democracy, okay?
But also, I find it for it when it happens in a blue state, because I actually think that
when one party or the other has a stranglehold on the state, and there's no competition from
a competing party, well, corruption, man, I mean, it becomes a even bigger problem.
And that's what we've been experiencing in California.
I think it's important for Democrats in the state of California to feel competition
from the opposing party.
It keeps them in check.
It keeps corruption at bay to some extent, right?
Not completely.
And so I'm not happy about this potentially happening in California, just as I'm unhappy
about it happening in Texas.
And, Jake, I think your prediction is incorrect.
I don't think that Texas is going to back down based on what these blue states are going to do.
No, no, no. So look, let's bring you down one thing at a time.
First, my agreement with you is power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Bingo, yes.
Okay, so when you have, even if it's your side that has absolute power, they're not going to serve you anyway.
What it's, what they're going to do is set up fake nonprofits.
Yes.
That siphoned money away from you.
They're going to give money to real estate interests that have given them.
their money, unions that have given them money, et cetera.
It does, it just, there's no healthy competition for votes.
So it breeds corruption, no matter which side is in absolute power.
So I hate it, okay?
So now Anna, in terms of the specifics of my strategy, look, if you let Texas redistrict
and look, this whole thing gambit of like leaving Texas and then the idiot governor and
Lieutenant, I remember all those morons going, oh, we're going to arrest you and we're going to take away your job, blah, blah, and they would because they're dictatorial and authoritarian. And unfortunately, like, there's a lot of right thing, right wing voters that agree with us on a bunch of stuff, but they don't agree on that. They, when they're usually, if you're right wing, keep it real, when your guys do authoritarian crap, you kind of love it, right? You're like, yes, let's take five more seats. And now if California was the first to propose it, right wingers would have lost their minds.
The dictatorial, California, right?
Okay, Texas does it.
They're like, yay, and by the way, it happens on both sides.
It does, it does.
How many Democrats have looked into how blue states have gerrymandered their states?
Right.
Can we be honest?
I hate all of this so much.
But Anna, the point is if Texas does it and we do unilateral surrender and go, oh, okay, we're suckers.
Why don't all the red states, gerrymandered the living crap out of it?
And then we'll, oh, but we won't.
No, no, no, I hear you, I hear you.
And I guess it's kind of a lose lose because I do want the Democrats to fight back.
And the Democrats fighting back in this instance obviously draws more attention to what
the intentions of the Republicans are in the state of Texas, right?
They're just brazen about how they want to add five congressional seats.
But it's a lose, lose for us because if the Democrats don't fight back, yes, the Republicans in
in Texas go unchecked.
But if the Democrats fight back, I don't think Texas is gonna back down.
I think this creates a new precedent for essentially redrawing district maps whenever
the hell you want, like not tied to the census at all.
And then on top of that, by the way, I don't want my state to be even further gerrymandered, right?
But but so Anna, you're like, I don't know what the solution is, hold on, hold on, yeah.
Yeah, you are almost certainly right, okay, with a giant two caveats, okay, give them to me.
Okay, so she's right in the sense that is Abbott going to go, oh my God, California is considering doing it?
I'm going to back down.
There's no way he's going to do it.
There's no way.
Okay.
All right.
So by the way, prediction number one, is California, Illinois and New York actually going to gerrymandering to counter?
No.
I think they're just huffing and puffing.
No, they'll dare.
I have no doubt that Newsome will pursue gerrymandering.
Really?
I think all of the, every establishment Democrat I know is so weak.
But Newsom is setting himself up to run in 2028, and he is also setting himself up to be the leader of the opposition to Donald Trump.
So that's the only reason why they might do it.
So that relates to, gets to second possibility, okay?
First possibility is Huff, puff, everybody's not paying attention.
Let's surrender as usual, right.
But Anna's right, there's a different dynamic because Pritzker and Newsom are thinking of running for governor.
Oh, yeah, Pritzker too, you're right.
And there's another dynamic before mainstream media would be like, oh, you're a coward, Democrat,
who did not counter, bravo! How civil of you, right? But now when they're going on online
shows, the online hosts are putting pressure on them. So I give credit to Brian Tyler Cohn,
who's been doing that when governors come on, et cetera. So I love giving credit to other people
on the left when they're doing the right things, right? So now all of a sudden those governors
feel the pressure and they're going to run for president and is right, right? So they might
actually do it. And then every state will be sherrymandered in a despicable way. And there'll be
competition for anything and then the politicians will think I hope they don't
notice because this turned out to be great for us because now none of us have to
compete for any of this it's terrible it really is and regardless of how you
identify I mean I at this point do not like either party but regardless of how
you identify you have to acknowledge the illiberal nature of this how much it
erodes our democratic process it's just wrong it's wrong to disenfranchise
voters like this in states where, you know, if you're, you know, if you happen to be a conservative
Republican living in the state of California, which by the way, there are many. Well, your vote
doesn't matter. You've been disenfranchised because of the way that these congressional maps are
or these district maps are drawn. And so, and then people wonder like, oh, why is it that some
people are considering, you know, upending our democratic system of government and instead
opting for something like a monarchy.
Like it's terrifying, right?
Yeah, and so Anna, that gets to the final part of it, right?
So if it turns out that they both do it, and now none of the seats are competitive,
well, at what point are we all going to rebel, right?
So what I mean by rebel is not some weirdo thing where we're going to go fight them in the woods with weapons,
no, okay?
That would be enormously ineffective, it would be immoral, it would be wrong, that doesn't make any sense, okay?
But how do we fight back?
You need to capture one of the parties.
If you capture, just like Trump did with the Republican Party, it's like, oh, that's ridiculous.
The mainstream will tell you, oh, that's impossible, don't you try, don't try, don't try, right?
What do you mean is impossible?
Trump just did it right in front of our eyes in 2016, right?
And he has a death lock on the party.
So imagine if you had an honest, smart, strong progressive, or populist or whatever, right?
That captures the Democratic Party and then goes, no, I'm gonna bring him back to the voters.
I want to fix every goddamn thing, and I'm going to end gerrymandering.
You have to build up pressure in that direction, and you say, well, it won't work.
If you had said that to me 10 years ago, I'd say, no, you're not going to be able to rally enough voters to give that person enough power.
And the reason you wouldn't have been able to do that is because mainstream media would have lied and smeared and just totally prevented your message from getting out, right?
But now mainstream media is weakened, and we can get message out in a hundred different ways, right?
So that's why the more they press down on all of us, right wing, left wing, Republican Democrat,
the pressure builds and builds and builds.
And those morons in Washington have no idea how much the pressure is building.
They think, oh wow, stock market said 44, 45,000, stock market is great.
Everything's great, right?
No, everything's not great.
And we're getting more pissed by the day.
One day, this pressure is going to find an outlet, then the establishment is in a world of trouble.
All right, when we come back, we've got a lot more to get into, including Trump's fascinating interview on CNBC today.
He had some takes on the economy and more. Don't miss it.
All right, back on TYT, Janganana with you guys in Titan.
Thank you for gifting five Young Turks memberships on YouTube.
You're awesome.
Casper.
All right, we got to talk about this interview that President Donald Trump had on CNBC today.
Let's get into it.
These are statistical changes based on this antiquated system.
And it's just a big leap to go to rigged.
And then it also, Mr. President, it makes anyone you pick is going to be, the critics are going to say,
hey, he's picking a guy that's going to give him the, or a gal that's giving him the numbers that he wants.
CNBC's Joe Kiernan really found himself in a difficult position today as he was interviewing
Donald Trump and as he was essentially forced to do some corrections of statements that Trump was
making. Now, why was that difficult for him to do? He's a huge Trump span, huge Trump supporter.
Typically, he provides cover for anything that Trump does on CNBC.
But in this case, he had to correct Trump's, you know, statements in regard to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, his decision to fire the commissioner for BLS, and more.
So Kieran seems skeptical of the idea that it would be possible for the Bureau of Labor Statistics Commissioner to rig unemployment numbers.
So let's hear what he had to say.
Let's hear him make his case and how well Trump responded to that.
Elaine Chow was on yesterday.
And I know, you know, she was, I think she was Labor Secretary for eight years under Bush 2.
And she was your transportation secretary as well.
And she said, you know, the commissioner doesn't really even get involved with the actual minutia of putting all these things together.
And there's no way that it could have been, that she could have chosen to rig these numbers to make them look bad.
Anyone you pick is going to be, critics are going to say, hey, he's picking a guy that's going to give him the, or a gal that's giving him the numbers that he wants.
So it undermines confidence in the system to some extent.
Well, I think when somebody says the commissioner is not involved, I don't want to get into any arguments with anybody.
Why should I?
She's a very nice woman.
Exactly.
But when they say that nobody was involved, that it wasn't political, give me a break.
I mean, look, I'm not an expert on the inner workings of the Bureau of Labor Statistics,
but really the BLS Commissioner isn't involved in the numbers.
I don't know if I buy that, to be quite frank.
But also, I know that Trump fired her for political reasons because he didn't like the revisions of the jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
And he is in the wrong for doing that.
I believe she needs a PhD for that position.
That sounds amazing.
But the point there is that she has, that person has to have impeccable credentials,
but there's a reason for that.
So no, as far as all the articles I've ever read about it, she doesn't produce the numbers.
But do they present the numbers to her, the statisticians, et cetera, who did it?
And does she then authorize it?
Yes, that's her job.
And that's why she needs to be an expert in this field.
It can't be just somebody off the street because you need to understand how those numbers work.
So she might not prepare them, but she has responsibility for them, okay?
So look, I'm a little bit surprised that he did a fact check on Trump.
Yeah, he got annoyed about it at some point, by the way.
It seemed like there was a producer off camera giving him the fact checks.
And he got annoyed and said, oh, I got a fact check you.
I usually didn't have to do this with Biden, which I thought was interesting.
No, you see that? Okay, but on the Bureau of Labor Statistics, that one CNBC does care about, okay?
So the election, they're like, oh yeah, you stole it, or you're claiming it was stolen and you're an obvious liar.
Okay, I'll do a fact that, God damn it, right?
Is it gonna hurt the markets?
Right, yeah, exactly, right?
So they don't really care about it.
But for Bureau of Labor statistics, they need to be able to, the markets need to be able to rely on actual numbers.
If they're, if you bring in a political figure there and they're just making up numbers to make the president look good,
Then the market, then, or yeah, the markets are in the dark then, and they don't have the proper information to make investments. And they hate that, right? So you can tell in CNBC's reaction, the political correctness is coming from Trump, not from the head of BLS.
So look, Trump did keep pushing this idea that the revised jobs reports and the latest jobs report pertaining to what happened with our economy in July.
We're essentially rigged in Biden's favor, which, you know, the data does say otherwise.
We're going to get to that in just a minute.
But before we do, let's hear more from Trump, especially as he complains about how everything is unfair and rigged against him.
Take a look.
Just days before the election, they put out numbers that it was like the country was on fire.
It was doing so well.
And then they did a revision about two weeks later, and the revision was down by almost 900,000 jobs.
You remember that?
Those were benchmark numbers open.
That happens.
They do that.
They do that twice a year, and it reconciles the monthly figures with, like, the overall numbers.
And it was a big number.
And obviously, the numbers were rigged.
The numbers were rigged.
Biden wasn't doing well.
He was doing poorly.
They announced these phenomenal numbers, the two days before the election, and a little bit before that, always these great numbers.
After I won the election, I said too big to rig, but after I won the election, then they announced a downward number, in other words, to bring them back to reality.
And I said, wow, supposing I would have lost, I would have blamed that.
And people would have said I was a conspiracy theorist.
Not true. Okay, so we looked into this. I want to give you the actual numbers.
so you know that the Bureau of Labor Statistics wasn't cooking the books, cooking the numbers
to make Biden look bad and Trump, I mean, Biden look good and Trump look bad.
So a month before the election, the BLS jobs announcement on October 4th showed growth of
254,000 jobs for September. But the BLS announcement on November 1st, right before the election
showed weak growth of just 12,000 jobs in October.
And they adjusted the earlier months down.
Yeah.
So like if you're running for president on November 1st, they released those,
that information, that is very bad news for you, right?
So if this was all a giant conspiracy to help Biden,
that is the very last thing you would do on November 1st right before the election.
BLS, by the way, stated at the time that strike activity, hurricanes hitting the US,
that kind of stuff led to lower employment.
BLS also said the August and September figures were revised down by 112,000.
So conservatives pounced on the bad numbers. And I'm sure Trump remembers that because this was
all happening in the lead up to the election. A Fox News headline called the report dismal and
said it gives Trump last minute political ammunition to fire at Harris. The Trump campaign at the time
said the jobs report was a catastrophe that showed how Harris broke our economy.
And ironically, a month after the election, the October figure was actually revised upward.
So complete opposite of what Trump is claiming here.
So look, he said there, you know, if I had lost, I would have said this happened and they would have called me a conspiracy theorist.
No, that's because you are a conspiracy theorist.
You came out with a conspiracy theory, even though the facts actually help you.
Yeah, including in what he's crying about.
He's such a- Okay, it gets better.
Okay, hold on, just real quick, what he's crying about now is, oh, the job numbers
were low this month and they revised the last two months downward.
But that means they had to revise them because they had overly inflated them in the last
two months while you're a president, just in time for you to pass your tax cuts for the rich
and your tariffs, et cetera, right?
Oh, conveniently, so if there was a conspiracy, in both occasions, it was to help you,
But I don't believe there was a conspiracy because I'm not a loon like Donald Trump, which I'll get back to.
Now, my favorite part of this entire debacle with the Bureau of Labor Statistics and their jobs report is that lower employment numbers gives Trump the perfect argument that he needs to convince Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell to cut interest rates.
And for whatever reason, it seems like he's unable to connect the dots.
And Kiernan mentions this in the context of this interview.
Let's see how Trump responded to it.
Which number do you believe at this point?
Because if you noticed, suddenly the chances of what you've wanted for months and argued for for months,
the chances of a rate cut soared because of these numbers.
Do you not believe the current numbers?
because they're playing right into what you want the Fed and J. Powell to do.
They're not horrible, as you said, but perhaps with the tariffs, some businesses delayed some spending.
Some consumers may have been less certain about the future.
So maybe we're seeing a slight slowdown in labor, but you're going to get exactly what you want based on these numbers.
Which ones do you believe?
Do you not believe the revised numbers either?
It's not what I want. I don't want that.
I wanted it a year ago.
I wanted it a long time ago.
Jay Powell is highly political, and I think, you know, I call him too late.
Jerome, too late, Powell.
Oh my God, that's it.
That's my commentary.
Jake, back to you.
Okay, so two things here.
Guys, there is one thing that was disturbing that we mentioned in yesterday's show,
which is that apparently Wall Street got some of these numbers 30 minutes before the rest of the public did.
So if there is any conspiracy at all that, see, the job numbers going up and down happens all the time.
That is not abnormal that happens under Republicans and Democrats, right?
Wall Street getting the numbers first never happens.
Okay, so that was a giant irregularity, right?
So if you were looking, if I was the president, I'd say, I want to know why that happened.
Is it somebody inside the Bureau of Labor Statistics that leaked it for financial purposes, because that would be mass.
of insider trading, huge problem, right? And then if you say to me, hey, the numbers were
greatly inflated right as they were trying to pass the tax cuts for the rich and for corporations,
well then I would say, wait, are those two things connected? Normally they go up and down,
but with this giant irregularity, now I'm a little bit worried that someone's trying to cook
the books to pass the legislation that helps Wall Street, right? But that's Trump's bill. And so he,
If he's saying that happened, that would be totally counterproductive to what he wants.
Which then leads to the final point and the most important point here.
So look, folks on the left already know this and a big percentage of independents know this.
The MAGA guys or whoever Trump voters, you're the last man standing on this.
Okay, last of the Mohicans.
Trump is a buffoon.
Okay, I know you don't believe that.
I know you think he's a hero or some of you do.
And some of you are beginning to realize I've seen files subservience to Israel.
giant deficits that maybe he's not the guy you thought he was, right?
But he doesn't understand simple concepts and he refuses to do just a tiny bit of hard work.
It's not even that hard, just a tiny bit of homework to understand things.
If the job numbers are low, that helps your cause in cutting interest rates,
which stimulates the economy. That's what Donald Trump wants.
But the job numbers come in and he goes, I don't like it.
It's a guy, because it affected his ego and he's a dumbass.
Well, okay, I think the problem with Trump, and I see this problem play out in almost every political issue he's involved in, his paranoia of people trying to destroy him politically, like blinds him to reality, right?
No, I get it, but no, no, he just does.
He thinks everyone is out to get him, but it's like, you're president, you're the president, okay?
No one's out to get you.
Democrats have tried, they failed on multiple occasions, but at this point, you want lower interest rates.
It's very obvious that now it's gonna happen in September.
But like he's not connecting the dots.
No, no, guy, no, sorry, I'm gonna revise what I said earlier.
A lot of Democrats don't understand this either.
And this is gonna be like, by the end of Trump's term, this is gonna be another redemption
where people are gonna be like, oh, it turns out all the times I theorize about his strategy.
There was no strategy.
Like when he has strategy, I tell you, like when he went to go figure out what do the voters
want, credit accord, creditors who bet this is back in 2015 and earlier before he ran for
president and he tested his messages, hey, do I go pro-immigrant, anti-immigrant, and
decided on any, so that's strategy, credit where credit is too.
But on stuff like this, he's dumb.
He doesn't understand that the job numbers being low goes to what he wants, lower
interest rates. He doesn't understand that. If you look, if you're a plumber, you might not
understand that because you didn't get a degree in economics. But if you're the president and you
want lower interest rates, when the bad job numbers come out, you should immediately think,
ooh, silver lining. I don't love that it's bad job numbers, but that's going to help me pressure
Powell. But he doesn't understand super simple concepts like that because he's dumb and never
does homework and has no strategy other than Trump, Trump, Trump, job numbers are no, I don't like you.
Okay, Fed, job numbers are high, so the Fed's not going to lower rates.
Job numbers good, fed, bad, evil, blah, he's an idiot.
He doesn't know anything.
So I know if you're some portion of MAGA or you're some portion of Democrats who think he's a secret,
incredible strategist, you won't believe me until at some point you go, oh right, he said
to disinfect it inside your body, chloro.
to cure COVID. He's a moron. He's a moron of epic proportions. Here's the hurricane. I drew it
with a magic marker. He's a moron. He doesn't understand simple economic concepts.
