Starting point is 00:00:46 Oh, my God. Begat! And the rest of the world, if you woke up this morning and you were fortunate enough to do so, you are poorer today than you were yesterday. Unless, of course, you're an Israeli. In that case, you are just absolutely reveling in the... absolute destruction of various countries across the globe because of Israel's absolute obsession with war. We're going to talk about the economy. Nothing's good. There are no good updates for you all.
Starting point is 00:01:47 Okay? And the next time you pump gas at a gas station, just remember, it's not just Trump who did that. It's also Israel who did that. And the media tends to forget about how we came to this awful place we all find ourselves in. But I will walk you through it in case you need a reminder. Welcome to the Young Turks. I'm your host, Anna Casparian, and today's show is full of bad news. Because we live in America, led by buffoons. Right now, specifically led by the Republican Party, but buffoonery is not a partisan issue. That's for sure. And as we barrel toward the midterms, many Americans have deluded themselves into thinking that voting for the right people make all the difference in the world. It won't, but nonetheless, go ahead and vote with the assumption that some
Starting point is 00:02:34 way somehow one party is better than the other. Obviously, I'm in a furious mood today. And part of the reason why I'm in a furious mood is because, as we all know, without a shadow of a doubt, our current economic situation is a complete and utter disaster. We are over $40 trillion in debt. Yet the Trump administration has decided they're going to continue picking your pocket, American taxpayers, in the middle of this inflationary environment, in the middle of this energy shortage, to send more weapons to Israel. We are going to fund the weapons. By the way, how's inflation doing in Israel? Not so bad, huh? Not so bad. Anyway, we'll get to that at the top of the show. We'll also fill you in on the latest updates in regard to oil and gas infrastructure that's been destroyed
Starting point is 00:03:20 in the Middle East and what the oil experts are saying we have in our near future. Later in the show, we'll also talk about how the Supreme Court has shot down Trump's mail-in ballot, executive order. At this point, I don't even care. Of course, the Republicans will continue trying to make it harder for people to vote by mail, even as our loathsome, disgusting buffoon of a president insists on voting by mail himself. Anyway, so let's just get started. I'm not in the mood to dilly-dally at all today. Everyone should look out for whoever I'm doing a live read for today,
Starting point is 00:04:00 because I'm really not in the mood. But with that in mind, let's get to our first story. President Donald Trump is picking Americans' pockets yet again. What for? Well, specifically to provide Israel with another $2.8 billion arms package. An arms package that is real, a country that dragged us into a disastrous war that's tanking the global economy, doesn't really have to worry about paying for. We are paying for those weapons.
Starting point is 00:04:30 We, the American people who live in a country that currently has a federal debt up to four, A past $40 trillion at this point, we are going to go ahead and fund a genocidal terrorist state weaponry so they can continue carrying out more genocide, more ethnic cleansing, more slaughter of innocents in the name of their empire building project. Congratulations, America. Congratulations. I hope you guys are enjoying that $6 a gallon gas in some states. Sweet, isn't it?
Starting point is 00:04:59 Real sweet. So this was a story that broke today. It was reported by The Washington Post. And as you can tell, I'm furious about it. The fact that other Americans don't seem to be furious about it, blows my mind. Are you enjoying living in increasingly impoverished situations as we fund a genocidal terrorist state? Do you enjoy it? Let me know if you do.
Starting point is 00:05:22 The weapons that Americans will be bankrolling for these genociders includes 40,000 bombs that weigh 2,000 pounds each, including 20,000. MK84s and 20,000 BLU 117s, the sale also includes 20,000 I-2000 penetrator warheads. Now, if you have no experience with these types of bombs or you never served in the military, you're probably asking, okay, what does this all mean? L-2000s or I-2000s are used to attack hardened structures. And as we know, Israel really has a knack
Starting point is 00:06:02 for wiping out entire villages, as they've been doing in southern Lebanon, dozens of villages wiped off the face of the earth. Not just Muslim villages, which is deplorable enough as it is, Muslim and Christian villages, while they lie to your face and tell you they're going after Chisbala. Okay, these people are a scourge on humanity. But let me continue. BLU 117s are a variant of the MK84, and it has a thermal protective, coding to make it harder for attacks to destroy them. So it's safer to place them in naval storage. And among the most destructive munitions, in Western military arsenals, an MK84,
Starting point is 00:06:51 explosion sends metal fragments in every direction for thousands of feet can rip through metal and thick concrete and often creates large craters in the earth. Israel has drawn criticism for routinely dropping MK84s in zones it designated as safe for civilians. You guys remember the beginning of the genocide in Gaza? You guys remember that cute little trick that the Israelis would play, where they would tell Palestinian civilians in the north to evacuate for safety to the south. And then as these civilians evacuated to the south, you want to know what the Israelis did? They would drop these bombs on them.
Starting point is 00:07:32 They would wipe out entire families with these bombs. That's what the Israelis do. In fact, if you know anything about the story of Hind Rajab, the little five or six year old girl, it's reported differently depending on where you read the story. But let's go with five-year-old. Five-year-old Hindrajab, who the Israelis fired literally hundreds of bullets at
Starting point is 00:07:56 as she remained trapped in a vehicle full of her dead relatives. That hindra job, that's the little girl I'm talking about. They killed her, of course. So what Israel does. They're killing machines. What had happened was her family listened to the evacuation orders. They were living in the north. So she and her family evacuated to the south. And then her family realized, oh, the Israelis are telling us to evacuate to the south so they can bomb us in the south. So they decided to go back home. But as they went back home, they realized they're bombing the north now. And as Hindra Jabab and her relatives attempted to flee the north to the south, that's when their
Starting point is 00:08:36 vehicle came under attack by the Israelis. So that's who the Israelis are. And as much as people want to point fingers at people like me and make me out to be, oh, you're so bad, you're so bad. Don't you know about the Holocaust? Victim card has expired. It's over. It's over. It's over. because Israel is carrying out its own Holocaust now. So if you're going to invoke the freaking Holocaust as justification for this disgusting behavior that we are bankrolling as Americans, I would flip the bird and tell you to F off a million times, if not more. Does this sound like you?
Starting point is 00:09:19 You're lying in bed and suddenly you realize it's 2 a.m. And you've been doom scrolling for hours. That late night doomscroll doesn't just wreck your brain. it spikes your internal temperature. And when you're overheated, your body never hits that deep restorative sleep. The fix isn't in a new mattress or a renovation. It's your bed temperature. That's where ChiliPad 2.0 comes in.
Starting point is 00:09:40 This water-based to slider right over your current mattress and runs from 55 to 115 degrees. While fans just push hot air around, ChiliPad uses actively chilled water to actually extract heat from your body. The 2.0 upgrades include a quieter dock with a bigger, a premium cover that zips off for washing. And my favorite, the nightstand remote has a sensor that knows when you climb in and fires up your schedule automatically. Dual Zones lets you and your partner pick completely different temperatures and you both win. No subscription, just a two year warranty and built in the USA.
Starting point is 00:10:15 Visit www.sleep.me slash TYT to get up to $255 off your ChiliPad 2.0 with code TY. That's www.swe.S-L-E-E-P-E-S-L-E-P-T-Y-T. Free shipping, free returns, and a 30-night trial. So you can test it out, dream big, and wake up better. The headlines will still be there in the morning. You might as well wake up ready for them. Tucker Carlson is maybe as incensed as I am. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:10:50 I'm basing this on what he posted on X today in response to this reporting. He says an American made Mark 84 has a destruction radius of half a mile. It releases a thermal wave, the temperature of the surface of the sun. Within 100 feet of the explosion, rock melts and human flesh turns to vapor. Until the war with Iran, the U.S. military generally avoided using the Mark 84 in urban areas. It kills too many civilians. Oh, it kills too many civilians? Israelis look at that and say, well, why didn't you say so?
Starting point is 00:11:29 We want more of those bombs. We want more of those bombs. We're the chosen people. They think they're chosen by God. Imagine the blasphemy that these people have deluded themselves into believing to think that they were chosen by God as they slaughter, vaporize innocent human beings in multiple countries. That's who the Israelis are. Let me keep going.
Starting point is 00:11:52 I hope people are offended. People who defend Israel, I hope I'm offending you like crazy because you deserve that and much worse. But let me continue. For the Netanyahu government, that's been the upside, killing too many civilians. In the weeks after October 7th, the IDF dropped nearly 600,000 pound bombs on densely populated areas in Gaza, including on more than 100,000. officially designated civilian evacuation zones because that's who the Israelis are.
Starting point is 00:12:30 The slaughter was so grotesque and embarrassing that for a moment, the Biden administration paused a shipment, one shipment of Mark 84's. Those shipments quickly resumed under Trump. Now they've accelerated. I have to believe in an afterlife because those in positions of power today are feckless, greedy, genocidal monsters. And with those people at the helm, there will never be any justice in this country. With the complicity of the American people, there will be no justice. So I need to believe that people like Netanyahu and Trump will burn in hell for the rest of their lives. I need to believe that for eternity. I need to believe it. Otherwise, I will lose my mind. The injustice is so disgusting. And then you have Ben Shapiro with the freaking audacity
Starting point is 00:13:33 to spend 9-11 fear mongering about how dangerous Muslims are. No. We see who the real danger is. You know, the country that will stop at nothing to expand its borders, including using snipers to shoot little kids, toddlers in the head and in the chest. That's who the Israelis are. I'm supposed to feel bad for them because the Holocaust happened? No. You don't get to invoke the Holocaust to provide cover for treachery, period. Remember, this is $2.8 billion worth of bombs that the United States is going to bankroll on behalf of Israel as we struggle with $40 trillion in federal debt.
Starting point is 00:14:26 Though described as a sale, the transaction is financed through a mechanism known as 4.4.4.5. military financing in which the United States, meaning us, the United States taxpayers, provides the money that Israel uses to buy the weapons. By the way, compared to how our economy is doing, their economy is doing pretty well, pretty well. Inflation, not as big of a problem there, from what I'm reading. Their national debt, certainly nowhere close to where we're at, because we're the slaves, right? We're the ones who will go into debt to fund their wars. We're just cattle for the chosen people, right? For the chosen people. While this weapons package breaks records, the Biden administration was just as thirsty for the slaughter of innocence in the
Starting point is 00:15:16 Middle East. You don't believe me? Get a load of this. The size of the package eclipses previous sales of 2,000 pound munitions to Israel during the Biden administration and the Trump administration, including a controversial $2.04 billion sale in 2025 that bypassed the normal congressional review process. Oh, wow. Trump is picking our pockets to the tune of $2.8 billion to send 2,000 pound bombs to Israel. Biden was so much better. He only picked our pockets for $2.04 billion. Biden is, oh, Democrats are so much better, aren't they? There's so much better. I'm supposed to tell you that. I'm supposed to tell you that. Okay. Scum, scum of the earth. Anthony Blinken, your scum of the earth. And Joe Biden, I don't even know what he was aware of
Starting point is 00:16:09 cognitively as he was in office, to be honest with you. But I don't give him a pass. Scum of the earth. Hunter Biden, his little pathetic son who did a media tour to, you know, make us all think that there was like this amazing change and reformation and who he is as a person, out he was just doing it to sell a freaking meme coin. These people are scum of the earth. We have been led by scum for many, many cycles, many election cycles. We need to wake up, okay? If you are on the left and you're having these pathetic, sleazy debates about like, I don't know, do we work with someone like Tucker Carlson, even though he's against genocide? Yeah, yeah, we do. Because guess what? What's more important is not your goddamn feelings.
Starting point is 00:16:58 That's not important to me. Or your purity, or your virtue signaling, or anything like that. Anyone who has a problem with our multi-decade support of a genocidal terrorist state is someone I'm willing to work with because this has to end. And honestly, I think it's maybe too late. Our country's collapsing. Right now as we speak, our country's collapsing. What happens when the international community moves off the U.S. dollar?
Starting point is 00:17:26 What do we do? All the manipulation in the world can't help our bond market as our Treasury Secretary has realized. And yet, and yet, we continue to go into more debt, not for Americans, because we desperately need it. No, no, no, no, of course not. But for a genocidal terrorist state that wants to vaporize more children in the Middle East. That's who the Israelis are. The size of the package I said, it does eclipse what. The Biden administration did, but not by much.
Starting point is 00:18:04 And delivery time for these weapons could last several years because, you know, we don't even have the munitions necessary to defeat Iran in a war. So honestly, I'm having a hard time understanding with our depleted munitions, who the hell are we to sell, not even sell, to pay for more weaponry for Israel, which got us into this international mess to begin with. And then, by the way, even though we provided the Israelis with the Iron Dome, even though we have funded their military, even though Israel would cease to exist without U.S. support, these disgusting liars tell the
Starting point is 00:18:49 American people, we absolutely must merge the IDF with the U.S. military. We must. Because Israel is superior to us in every single way. I mean, where would we be without their intel? I would say we would probably be in less debt. That's what I would say to that. But as Tucker Carlson noted in his ex post, only four people need to sign off on this $2.8 billion arms package in order for it to be shipped off to Israel. So that includes Senators Jim Rish and Gene Shaheen,
Starting point is 00:19:28 the chairman and the ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and Congressman Brian Mast and Gregory Meeks, the top two members of the equivalent House committee. Brian masked prances around the halls of Congress wearing an IDF uniform. We are occupied and I don't think it's offensive to tell the truth. I think it's offensive to lie to the American people about what the truth really is. We're occupied. We're occupied.
Starting point is 00:20:00 And unlike Tucker, I don't really feel the need to pretend like I like Israel. I don't like Israel. I hate Israel. I loat with Israel. I want nothing to do with Israel. Call me whatever you want. I don't really care. I know I'm right on this. Because everything Israel is doing goes against everything we've been taught morally in this country. It goes against what it means to be a human being who values human life.
Starting point is 00:20:27 All four of those members of Congress who get to determine whether or not we send $2.8 billion worth of weapons to Israel are committed neocons, of course. Collectively, they've taken millions from the Israel lobby. Hors, hordes who have opened their legs that is real money, man, they can't get enough. Political sluts, okay? Prostitutes. Let's get back to that graphic. Collectively, they've taken millions from the Israel lobby.
Starting point is 00:20:57 In 2015, Brian Mass traveled to Israel to volunteer for the Israeli military. Not only should that be banned, there should be. consequences for doing that. In 2023, Mass showed up in the House of Representatives wearing an IDF uniform. I want you guys to really take in what we as the American people
Starting point is 00:21:22 have sacrificed our needs to make a reality in Gaza. Okay, we've sacrificed a better health care system. We've sacrificed fixing our child care system. we've sacrificed the huge issues we have with things like credit card debt, student loan debt,
Starting point is 00:21:45 wealth inequality. That's Gaza. Instead of, you know, taking care of those issues, we've decided to do this, what you're seeing on your screens right now. We ate it and abetted Israel in dropping the equivalent of a nuclear bomb on Gaza. Now, they didn't drop a nuke, But it's the equivalent, clearly, the whole place has been leveled. That's what you're looking at right now. If you're curious what Israel did just today, today alone. They killed an eight-year-old Palestinian boy, Amal al-Muqar, who was killed when Israeli forces fired three missiles at tents, at tents, sheltering displaced Palestinians in Al-Mawasi, Khan Yunus. 14 other Palestinians, including children, because of course, were wounded.
Starting point is 00:22:37 By the way, the majority of the Israeli public, based on multiple polls, love this, support this, because as they say in the poll results, they don't see Palestinians as human, so it can't be a genocide. That's why they think it's not a genocide. They don't see Palestinians as human beings, including those children. That's who the Israelis are. Over the weekend, Israel also slaughtered a Palestinian woman who was seven months pregnant. They did the same thing to her. They dropped bombs on her tent.
Starting point is 00:23:05 This is who the Israelis are. There's more. Let's keep going. This post, this story absolutely broke me over the weekend. And that's what it's like to be an American who still has a conscience and who understands the difference between right and wrong, who values human life and who understands the innocence of children and how they don't deserve this. These are the kinds of things I read at night by myself and feel so unbelievably defeated and hopeless. I'm going to read a statement from Palestinian father Fadi Dawood.
Starting point is 00:23:49 Quote, yesterday I received the body of my beautiful daughter, Sama. I could only identify her by her teeth. I found her beside her sisters. Lana and Hala, the same place. where they had sought safety together. Earlier this year, I recovered the bodies of their mother and little sister Jory. Sama, Lana, Hala, and Jory until we meet again in heaven, never to part. You know that feeling when you're doing everything you're supposed to be doing,
Starting point is 00:24:27 eating healthy, working out, getting sleep, taking supplements, and you still wonder, is any of this actually working? Because doing all the right things doesn't always mean it's working for you. That's why I'm excited about the true age tests from true diagnostic. It uses epigenetics, which may sound complicated, but it's really about tiny chemical tags on your DNA that change in response to sleep, stress, diet, exercise, and your environment. True age reads those tags to estimate how your body is aging. And unlike many biological age tests, their methods are published in peer-reviewed scientific journals and were developed with researchers at Harvard, Yale, and do. You get a clear picture of where you are and where you can improve. Plus, personalized
Starting point is 00:25:12 recommendations around nutrition, exercise, sleep, supplements, and lifestyle. The process is simple. At home finger prick, send it back, get your report online in about three to four weeks. So if you want to optimize your health, true age gives you a much clearer starting point. So if you're serious about longevity or even just curious whether your body is aging faster or slower than your actual age, this is one of the easy. easiest ways to find out. Right now, go to true diagnostic.com and use code t-y-t for 20% off your entire order. That's truediagnostic.com code t-y-t for 20% off. Our political system is broken. If you have a problem with this and you're wondering
Starting point is 00:25:59 why nothing changes regardless of who you vote for, it's because our political system is broken and we are an occupied country. This is not the United States. Because if we were a real a sovereign country, we would have political leadership that serves us, but we don't have that. We have political leadership that hates us, that sees us as slaves, that picks our pockets to fund genocide, ethnic cleansing, and treachery. That's what we have in the United States. This is not a democracy. This is an abomination. and I want you all to be very clear about which country is behind it all. I'm going to take a break.
Starting point is 00:26:48 In the meantime, let's all enjoy our higher gas prices, our broken political system, and our lowered quality of life, all so we can emboldened Israel to continue slaughtering more innocent people. We'll be right back. Yesterday was my niece's 10th birthday. And that story that I read you guys at the end of that, you know, story. about the little girls that were slaughtered by Israel, the entire family that was wiped out by Israel. One of those little girls looks just like my niece.
Starting point is 00:27:42 And she's so innocent. She's so, little kids are so innocent and they're so full of life. And they don't know, they don't know, they don't know, they don't know how freaking evil the world is. I just don't shoot on the goalkeeper, writes it and says, love how blunt Anna is being right at the top of the show. Thank you. Thank you. How dare you give me hope says, but your eyelinder is killer as usual.
Starting point is 00:28:13 Thank you. I did it like literally last minute I was running late today. Wedge says, Anna, my rage lives vicariously through you. YTP renewed in our Twitch section says, gee Anna, get off the fence. Tell us how you really feel. Believe it or not, I held back a lot. A lot of the stuff that I want to say would probably get me in a lot more trouble. For God's sake, like there's got to be a country on the international stage that puts an end to this.
Starting point is 00:28:39 going to be the United States. There's got to be another country that puts a stop to this, please. And that's the scary place that I find myself in right now, where I'm rooting for other countries to do what the United States should have done a long time ago. No Math Dragon says, wait, I'm not getting a $5,000 check. Who would have guessed, right? You're not getting crap, okay? You're American, you're not getting anything, period. Hey everyone, welcome back to the show. Mystic Mac writes in and says, they want us to believe that highlighting Zionist control over every institution is anti-Semitic,
Starting point is 00:29:32 yet billionaire Robert Kraft just colluded with another Zionist billionaire to make McElmore, to take him off stage for speaking out against genocide in Gaza. Listen, they label everything that they're doing a trope. So if you call it out, you're accused of doing an anti-Semitic trope. I think it's about time we all catch on to their little trick, their little game, okay? So I don't care. Oh, you think it's a trope? You think it's a trope that I'm telling the truth? Great, I don't care. Okay, shove it. Go cry about it. I'm going to keep telling the truth. I don't care if you call it a trope. I don't care what you smear me as. I don't give a damn. Okay, I'm going to keep telling the truth. People are scumbags. Matt. Lisa Grande writes it and says, we need a whole new government and it all needs to be built.
Starting point is 00:30:21 back by the people, love you at it. Absolutely. Look, I don't mean to discourage anyone from voting. I do not want to discourage you from voting, okay? Because knowing how much Trump has tried to prevent you from voting, I think it's important to protect your right to vote. And if you want to vote, go vote. But I just, we need to get out of the headspace of thinking that more of the same is going to change things. It's not. It's just not. Okay? It's not. And I need The Democrats who are really positioning themselves as real fighters against this system, you know, the newer candidates who are trying to get elected into Congress, you need to understand the enemy.
Starting point is 00:31:04 And when you really fully understand the enemy, you don't give them an inch. Don't give them an inch. So when they engage in bad faith attacks against you, don't apologize to them thinking it's going to make things better. No, you double down. You don't give them an inch. All right, let's get to the next story. The energy crisis that American oil executives and foreign policy analysts have sounded the alarm about in order to prevent a war against Iran are now saying, well, the energy crisis is here. You know, the prolonged closure of the Strait of Hormuz, the now destruction of the East-West pipeline,
Starting point is 00:31:54 which the Saudis were using to transport oil bypassing the Strait of Hormuz. That's been a disaster. So yeah, the energy crisis is here. Congratulations, America. Congratulations the entire world. Now, this is a piece that was published by the Wall Street Journal. Oil executives say the great fuel crisis is here. Trump officials say the oil market disruption is temporary, but Chevron's Mike Worth and others
Starting point is 00:32:22 for global supplies are running low. with no respite in sight. Now, if you're surprised by any of this, then you just haven't been paying attention, or you've decided to trust nonsense being spewed by absolute knuckleheads like Jillian Michaels, who is not at all credible in weighing in on geopolitics. But nonetheless, let me inform you about what's going on. There had been warnings about this literally prior to the war, which began on February 28th. The warnings continued as the people who are of sound mind were pressuring Trump to engage in actual peace negotiations to end the war.
Starting point is 00:33:03 But here's what's going on now. Attacks last week shut down a crucial crude pipeline in Saudi Arabia that bypassed the straight, stranding at least 2.5 million barrels a day from an already tight global oil market. So Chevron's chief executive was interviewed for this piece. His name is Mike Worth. And he told him, attendees at an energy conference in Austin, Texas last week, that all these mechanisms help to mitigate the price and supply risk. But those have largely now played out, and we don't have nearly the buffers in the system that we did when it began. Now, what is he talking about? What are the mechanisms he's referring to? Well, there are two major mechanisms. Number one, the fact that the United States had a strategic petroleum reserve, we still do, although it is severely depleted.
Starting point is 00:33:59 The whole point of the strategic petroleum reserve is to have like a backup supply of energy that we can tap into when crises like this happened. But here's the thing. There isn't enough in there to mitigate the damage that's being done by this war forever. In fact, in the first six months of this war, the Trump administration used up 31% of our strategic petroleum reserve. So we are running out rapidly. And there is no end in sight for this war. The other mechanism is the fact that China, which is a huge buyer of Iranian oil, decided to start tapping into its strategic petroleum reserve.
Starting point is 00:34:45 And they decided to stop buying temporarily Iranian oil or oil from the global market. Guess what? They're starting to buy oil from the global market now. So we have limited supply, okay, and now increased demand with China looking to buy oil on the global market. So yeah, this is a crisis, ladies and gentlemen. If I were you, I would have a sit down with your employer and ask if you can work from home. Because again, there is no end in sight. Further, Mike Worth said that I wish I could tell you that I saw some reason why things would ease, but it's difficult right now to see that happen. So I'm not the only one saying there's no end in sight.
Starting point is 00:35:32 There literally is no easy answer. You have Ansar Allah, better known as the Houthis in the West, essentially taking over the Bab al-Mendep straight. You also have Iraqi militias and I believe also Ansarala carrying out strikes against the East-West pipeline. And now analysts are saying that it could take as long as two months to repair the damage. Worth says he hasn't talked to the president since August 3rd, even though the Trump administration claims that they're constantly in contact with oil executives.
Starting point is 00:36:09 And if you're wondering, what else happened on August 3rd? Well, that was actually the day when Trump chided the CEO in a truth social post because he hadn't credited the Trump administration for the oil industry's good fortunes. And to be sure, the oil industry, they're making out like bandits. They get to charge a lot more money for limited oil. So their profit margins pretty big, pretty big. bigger than Donald Trump's giant pot belly as he pretends like he's God's gift to humanity. Okay, that's how big it is. And to be sure things are bad now and are likely to get a lot worse. Let's check in with DropSite and what they're reporting about energy prices.
Starting point is 00:36:55 The U.S. national average diesel price reached another record high of $6.27 per gallon on Tuesday. That's according to analysis from AAA fuel prices. That's a lot. I mean, let's pause for a second. Come back to me. Okay. You probably don't need diesel for your vehicle, but you want to know what diesel is necessary for? Literally everything else.
Starting point is 00:37:22 Truck drivers as they're transporting goods. Diesel is important to basically power the economy, the entire economy. And we are dealing with a significant shortage. So when the price for diesel per gallon increases, what does that translate to? It translates to you, me, everyone on the global stage, paying a lot more money for goods and services. So overall inflation. And remember, J.P. Morgan, in a call with their shareholders, warned that, and this is before things got really bad. I wonder if they've revised their analysis. But they're expecting food prices to experience quite a bit of inflation.
Starting point is 00:38:06 There's going to be a food crisis in the first quarter of next year. And inflation for food is expected to rise by 5%. That number is going to be much higher now, considering the fact that the situation on the ground in the Middle East has gotten worse. More oil and gas infrastructure has been damaged. You have the Iranians with more leverage now that on Sur al-Lawai. has control of the Babal Mendeb straight. So congratulations. I mean, no word from Israel, by the way.
Starting point is 00:38:41 They want the war to continue. It's just amazing. Okay, let's go back to drop site. The price climbed sharply from $5.90 just last week and is up 70% from the $3.69 average recorded at the time, at this time, last year. And look, if you live in California, you're led by a bunch of morons, who just tax the hell out of you. So we're paying a lot more for gas,
Starting point is 00:39:06 thanks to fuel taxes. So yeah, I don't know if you guys like my setup here. I'm working from home moving forward. I'm not, this is insane. But look, I have the luxury to do that possibly. A lot of people in America don't have the luxury of working from home. So ordinary Americans who are already having trouble
Starting point is 00:39:28 making ends meet are now gonna have to spend a lot more money just getting to and fro. Okay, just to go to work. Thanks Trump and Israel. In fact, the situation is so bad that the U.S. is considering halting diesel exports? Not so fast. This was something that caught my attention on X. The U.S. is the world's largest diesel exporter. Russia, the second largest, has already halted exports.
Starting point is 00:39:56 They halted exports because their refineries were damaged in drone strikes that were carried up by Ukraine, but I'm apparently not supposed to mention that. Sorry, I guess I already did. A U.S. export ban would send global diesel prices even higher and force countries like Japan to dump U.S. treasuries to fund their domestic needs. I'm not sure how true that, well, it might be true when it comes to Japan. That's certainly the case. I find it hard to believe that banning exports of diesel would increase diesel prices here in the U.S. They haven't really explained how that would work exactly. But I want to be clear, no one's really considering an export ban in the United States. In fact, U.S. Interior Secretary Doug Bergam said that bans on oil, gasoline, and
Starting point is 00:40:46 export and diesel exports could lead to retaliatory actions from other countries, which could hurt consumers in states like California, which depends partially on energy imports, which, by the way, he is right about California. We decided to close down our refineries. I'm not kidding. California decided we care about the environment so much that we're going to shut down our refineries and instead import refined oil.
Starting point is 00:41:20 I want to tell you about a new podcast series I'm enjoying from future hindsight, Occupy an unfinished uprising. Occupy Wall Street is the story of the improbable becoming possible. In 2008, millions of people were devastated by an economic crash caused by Wall Street greed. But it wasn't until 2011 that there was a mass response from the left. A call to protests went out and thousands of people responded.
Starting point is 00:41:44 I know, I was there. They raged against a system that was rigged against them and tried to create their own anti-capitalist village in a small Manhattan park. The movement quickly spread across the country inspiring hundreds of occupations and a new generation of activists. Occupy an unfinished uprising is told, Through the voices of activists who camped out in Zaccati Park for almost two months, getting inside the drama of a movement that grew rapidly, felt both transcendent and chaotic and then violently flamed out.
Starting point is 00:42:12 Occupy changed the national conversation about capitalism, popularized the language of the 99% and inspired a generation of activists. As we approach Occupy's 15th anniversary this September, this series offers a reminder that collective action can reshape what seems possible. To listen, search for future hindsight, wherever you get your podcasts. I just because they want to give, they want to give the illusion to left-wing voters in the state who don't know better
Starting point is 00:42:42 that they're serving them. We're doing right by you by shutting down these refineries and helping the environment by instead importing the refined oil, importing it. Don't you think it leads to more pollution to transport that refined oil to California? Anyway, whatever. Republican Senator and Senate Majority Leader John Thune, though, says that he's open to it.
Starting point is 00:43:14 I don't think it's going to happen, the export ban, but here's what he said. We'll be looking at any proposal that is a viable solution, but I do think that if we have a supply in this country and we're exporting it right now, that might be one way of getting at it. If that could take pressure off prices, you know, I'm open to exploring it. Is he not merciful? He's open to exploring it. So just as a reminder, how did we get here? Very simple. Very simple. Things really started to fall off the rails last week. Ansar Allah, again, better known as the Houthis in the West, captured the port of Moka, advancing toward the Babal-Mendep straight. Then they managed to capture even more territory off the coast of
Starting point is 00:44:00 the Babel Mendeb Strait. So they have control of the Babel Mendeb Strait. Let's keep it 100. On the same day, drones launched by Iran-backed militants or militias in Iraq struck portions of the Saudi East-West pipeline, which is how, again, the Saudis were able to move oil despite the closures and the disturbances over at the Strait of Hormuz. The East-West pipeline runs across the width of the Arabian Peninsula to Yanbu and the Red Sea. And I want to show you a little of what has happened to the East West pipeline.
Starting point is 00:44:37 So for context, this is what it looked like in October of last year. This is satellite imagery. You're taking a look at the East West pipeline. Okay, great. So the pumping stations for the pipeline suffered extensive damage, and that was not an accident. So if you hit the pipeline itself, that's actually pretty easy and a lot faster. to fix. Okay. Let's take a look at the damaged. There we go. Let's go to the first one. This is the satellite imagery from October and here's what it looks like now. Okay, you get the point.
Starting point is 00:45:12 It's damaged. It's destroyed. Okay. So the pumping stations are the areas of this, you know, infrastructure that suffered the most damage. And again, it's because it takes a lot longer and it's a lot harder to repair the pumping stations. So again, fixing the pipe itself can be done in a few days. Specialized machinery can, you know, be used to even rebuild large portions of the pipeline in like two weeks. But when it comes to the pumping stations, as I said earlier, it could take as long as two months based on some estimates to fix it. On Friday, Saudi Arabia's energy ministry released a statement announcing the closure of the East-West pipeline due to multiple attacks on the morning of September 10th. And this is, in fact, a nightmare for,
Starting point is 00:46:00 I hesitate to say the oil and gas industry because limited supply means that they get to charge a lot more. And if you look at the profits that oil and gas companies have been making since the war started, they're not struggling like ordinary people are. Let's just put it that way. Ordinary people are the ones who are going to suffer. Ordinary people are the ones carrying the burden of endless wars at the behest of Israel and their little Zionist project of expanding borders. So my final word is to Germany. I get that you guys were definitely, definitely on the wrong side of history.
Starting point is 00:46:50 You know, the whole Nazi thing, pretty despicable, pretty gross. And maybe you're under the impression that providing arms to modern day Nazis, i.e. Israel will erase you of your terrible past. But no, how about you guys actually think for yourselves? And really think about what you're aiding and abetting. Now, I've been critical of my government because they provide the bulk of the weaponry to that genocidal terrorist state. But Germany, you're on the wrong side of history again.
Starting point is 00:47:23 So assisting Israelis in slaughtering more innocent people doesn't make you the good guys. Okay, it doesn't exonerate you for the crimes against humanity that were committed by Nazis. But Germany apparently doesn't know the difference between right and wrong. Really can't suss out
Starting point is 00:47:45 what the correct moral course of action would be in this situation. So they'll keep sending their weapons over to Israel so they can slaughter more innocent people so they can start more wars, so they can destroy the whole global economy because nothing matters on this earth other than God's chosen people, right? Disgusting.
Starting point is 00:48:06 We ought to take a break. We'll be right back. All right. All right. Lisa Grande says, I'm crying with you, Anna. I would go to Palestine right now if I could do anything to make it better. The hopelessness is the worst part about all of it. Like, just realizing how broken our government is, how disgusting they are.
Starting point is 00:48:50 I hate our government so much. I do. They're so evil. They're so evil. And just feeling powerless to do anything to stop it. And make no mistake, we are powerless. Like we need to be honest about that. We are disorganized, atomized. But like so many Americans have still bought into like the divisive nonsense culture wars that get ordinary people who are suffering the same fate to fight each other as if as if a Republican, ordinary Republican voter is my biggest enemy. No, I don't think so. Okay, they might have conservative values that differ from mine to some extent? Who cares? They're not evil. You know what's evil? This is evil. Killing innocent people is evil. Funding the bombs that kill innocent people
Starting point is 00:49:35 is evil. Betraying the people of our country on behalf of a foreign nation is evil. Those are our problems right now. That's what should be the focus. But no, I should, you know, be up in arms over some manufactured culture war issue. Okay. Mojipake says, We need a UNO reverse. DSA, not corporate Democrats winning 1,000 seats. Local to National, we live in Captain America, Winter Soldier movie. Hydra infiltrated, the US government. Yeah, let's go back to the show.
Starting point is 00:50:12 You gotta save some money, guys. All right, things are real expensive. The only solace you might find is by lowering your cell phone bill. Okay, so make the switch, Noble, mobile, they're awesome. Listen, I've been repetitive. You guys already know what they're all about, and they're offering a promotion where your first month is only going to cost you $10. Like, what are you doing?
Starting point is 00:51:01 Why would you even waste your time with any other cell phone service? TYT.com slash switch to learn more and to make the switch. All right, let's get to our next story. Impeaching Peter Brian Heggseth, Secretary of Defense for High Crimes and Misdemeanors. Resolved that Peter Brian Hegseth, Secretary of Defense, also referred to as Secretary of War by the administration is impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors and that the following articles of impeachment be exhibited to the United States Senate. Articles of impeachment exhibited by the House of Representatives of the United States of America
Starting point is 00:51:35 in the name of itself and of the people of the United States of America against Peter Brian Heggseth, Secretary of Defense. Talk about a glow up. That was Congressman Thomas Massey. This will be his waning days as a serving U.S. Congress member now that he's lost his primary to an A-PAC-backed loser. But nonetheless, Massey has decided to use his remaining time as a congress member to file articles of impeachment against Secretary of Defense slash war Pete Heggseth. And I'm here for it. Now, it's unclear whether this is going to go anywhere. but I like to see a Congress member actually try to do something. And I do also want to note that it is a Republican member of Congress who's doing this,
Starting point is 00:52:24 not a Democratic member of Congress. Democratic members of Congress had no problem pursuing articles of impeachment when it came to money not getting to Ukraine. But when it comes to illegal wars, which they secretly support, can't be bothered to file articles of impeachment. It's just the truth. So here's what happened. He argued that Hegsith violated his oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States
Starting point is 00:52:53 and violated his constitutional duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed, especially with regard to the commission of war. He added that Hegsith has abused the powers of the Department of Defense. So what's fascinating is how other political figures have reacted to this. I'm sure we're going to get a lot more reactions in the coming days. But for now, why don't we check in on Attorney General Todd Blanche, who literally reacted with an eye roll. Let's take a look. Congressman Thomas Massey today introduced articles of impeachment against Secretary Hexas.
Starting point is 00:53:32 Who did? Thomas Massey. Oh, okay. For allegedly violating the war powers resolution. Okay. Okay. You've probably seen our band in the UK shirt, the one we dropped after the UK government, tried to silence the son of me. It's not supposed to be useless, but based on how our system of government is structured, you know, a system of checks and balances, Congress is supposed to authorize wars before we engage in them. But they kind of gave up on that, like a long time ago. And so I'm not surprised that the executive branch would act unilaterally when it comes to questions of war and peace because Congress has let them get away with it for so long.
Starting point is 00:55:38 But in this case, Thomas Massey is posing a challenge. Massey in May introduced war powers resolutions to limit Trump's military actions in Iran. Under the Iran powers resolution, a president must end unauthorized U.S. military involvement within 60 days unless Congress formally declares war. By the way, the reason why the Trump administration doesn't want to refer to our little engagement with Iran as a war is because they don't want to run into these constitutional issues. So they call it anything other than a war, even though it's clearly a war. And when it's not labeled what it is, which is a war, our service members get screwed. They don't get approved for certain benefits that they otherwise would get approved for if they
Starting point is 00:56:26 were, let's say, injured or killed as a result of an obvious war that the U.S. is engaging in. Our government hates us. All of them. They all hate you. All of them. Okay, don't get sucked into like this like left versus right manufactured nonsense. They all hate you. All of them. They're all narcissistic, insider trading pieces of trash. That's what our government is. The president may also receive an additional 30 days to safely withdraw U.S. troops under, you know, a war's power resolution. The House so far has passed two war powers resolutions with a few Republicans bucking party leadership and joining Democrats in favor of them. And I'm happy to see that there are Republicans who are willing to do the right thing, but far too few of them are willing to do the right thing. Now Massey is pursuing a privileged resolution in his impeachment quest. What does that mean?
Starting point is 00:57:26 Well, it basically means that he is forcing it to the floor for a vote. So we'll get to see exactly which members of Congress. Take a look at what Pete Hegseth has been up to. And they think, no, it's totally fine. I would never impeach him. I guarantee you, there will be plenty of Democrats these articles of impeachment. By House rules, that vote, by the way, must come within two days. So everyone buckle up. We'll see where this goes. There is a possibility, though, that, you know, Mike Johnson will do what Mike Johnson does, which is call for a recess and end the session early. So Congress doesn't have to grapple with important things like, you know, like the Epstein files, for instance. In this case, it would be articles of impeachment. So what are the other articles
Starting point is 00:58:18 of impeachment. And by the way, if you've read any of the corporate publications about this story, they don't get into the details at all. I went into the actual source material because I was curious, what is the argument being made here by Massey? It's important to understand that. And is it just about the Iran war, or is there something else involved? Well, here's what I found. The first three articles or so, or four, I believe, focused on the lack of congressional authorization to go to war. But the other articles are also fascinating, and I happen to agree with them. So let's go to Article 5. Extrajudicial killings charges Secretary Hegesith with replacing maritime law enforcement with unauthorized lethal military targeting of suspected, suspected
Starting point is 00:59:07 drug traffickers resulting in at least 221 deaths. It also addresses denial of quarter secondary strikes on survivors, failure to rescue shipwrecked persons, and the creation of artificial legal authorities for the campaign. Where's the lie? By the way, just bombing suspected drug traffickers, first of all, if they were proven to be drug traffickers, carrying out like extrajudicial killings is disgusting. But we didn't even know whether or not the individuals on these little fishing boats in the Caribbean were actually drug traffickers. By the way, it turns out that the cocaine trade is up in the United States. It's got to Article 6, suppressing free speech.
Starting point is 00:59:58 Charges Secretary Hegsith with using Department of Defense authority to retaliate against and intimidate Senator Mark Kelly for constitutionally protected speech questioning unlawful military orders. Here you have an American patriot, someone who is willing to defend the rights of his Democratic colleague, even though he is a Republican. Love to see it. Let's keep going. Article 7, kidnapping a sovereign, foreign leader charges Secretary Heggzith with directing Operation Absolute Resolve to seize Nicholas Maduro and Celia Flores in Venezuela without congressional or, I'm sorry, without constitutional or legal authority. And finally, looks like Congressman Massey didn't forget about our crimes in Yemen. Our involvement in the Saudi-backed war against Ansar Allah in Yemen was not only a failure, Ansar al-Au now controls 80% of Yemen. It was wrong, unconstitutional.
Starting point is 01:01:06 It led to famine, and Massey is bringing that up. So Article 8, unlawful war in Yemen, charges Secretary. Hegseth with initiating Operation Rough Rider without congressional authorization or an imminent threat to the United States. While also violating war powers reporting requirements, it further addresses extensive civilian deaths and unlawful strikes on civilian objects, rescuers, and other protected persons. Pete Hegsith was never qualified for the job. I think everything that has transpired in the Iran war, certainly, makes it abundantly clear that he's not fit for the job. I mean, he's fit for the Hague. So is Trump. I think Benjamin Netanyahu, imprisoning that guy
Starting point is 01:01:59 doesn't go far enough. And I will say this, I went from being anti-death penalty to suddenly maybe execution as punishment makes sense for some people. Now, do I think that's actually going to happen? I don't because there is no justice in this world. But I commend Massey for doing the right thing and refusing to just be a lame duck congressman who didn't get reelected and doesn't really care to do much for the American people. What he's doing here is defending our Constitution. And it's so rare to see in Congress these days that it makes me really proud of Massey. despite our policy disagreements on other matters, he's doing the right thing here. And I think it would be a good idea for the Democrats who engage in this theater where they pretend
Starting point is 01:02:54 like they're against the Trump administration when it comes to foreign policy to maybe do the right thing as well if they want to save any indication that they're different from the other party. If they want to at least give people the perception that we don't live under a uniparty. But I doubt it. We'll see. We'll see what happens. For now, though, show Massey some love because he appears to be the only one who has any interest in doing a damn thing about the very real war crimes that have been carried out by this administration, by this secretary of war. Opening salvo in the Iran war slaughtered 150 little kids.

Because look, there are downsides to homeschooling. You want your kid to be socialized. You want them to have friends. And look, you can homeschool and really make an effort to do play dates and make sure that your child has hobbies and is social, but that's hard. It's hard to do that. That's why a lot of homeschooled kids end up being a little
Starting point is 01:12:19 bit socially awkward. There is no doubt in my mind that if I had kids today, they would be homeschooled. They'd be homeschooled. I'd put my career on hold. I don't care. I would homeschool my kids because, man, the propaganda has seeped into every single institution. And this next story is more evidence of that. Let's get to it. Columbia laid the groundwork for my targeting by the Trump administration through its deliberate indifference and discrimination aimed and aimed at intimidating Palestinian students. For over two years, we pleaded with Colombia. Colombia did not care. Our safety and will-being did not serve the ideological project its Board of Trustees was protecting. So they traded us away.
Starting point is 01:13:14 That was pro-peace activist Mahmood Khalil. If you aren't familiar with him, he was the Columbia student and green cardholder who was in the country legally to study at Columbia, who ended up getting detained by the Trump administration because how dare you? You can't be protesting Israel and their genocide. Come on. So anyway, they smeared him as a terrorist and did so to provide cover for the fact that they threw him in prison for no reason at all. at all. And what's really interesting is now he is filing a lawsuit against Columbia University for obvious and brazen discrimination. Now here's the thing. If you're sending your kids to a university,
Starting point is 01:14:03 you would be under the assumption that your child is being treated fairly and equally to other students, not differently based on the color of their skin or their heritage or any other trait. But that's not what's going on here. It turns out that Colombia is engaging in very brazen discrimination, and Mahmoud Khalil wants to do something about it. So he has filed this lawsuit. Khalil spent months in ICE detention despite being, again, a green card holder who was married to a U.S. citizen. He missed the birth of his first child, which is beyond infuriating. His crime was engaging in activism as a student leader for the Palestine Working Group, PWG, and the Gaza Solidarity encampment that took place on the Columbia
Starting point is 01:14:54 campus back in 2024. Now remember what the demand was from the protesters. All they wanted was for the school to stop investing its money into weapons manufacturers, defense contractors, anything that aids and abets Israel's genocidal acts, which shouldn't be considered an unreasonable ask, but hey, we're an occupied country, so how dare you? Here's the gist of the 60-page complaint filed in the Southern District of New York. Khalil and members of SIPAs, that's the International, the School of International and Public Affairs, Palestine Working Group have now accused the university, its board, and the dean of the school, Karen Yarhi Milo, of deliberate indifference and failure to respond to
Starting point is 01:15:48 severe, persistent, and coordinated harassment directed toward him and other students who had been outspoken about Palestinian rights. So let's pause for a second. So we can discuss who this Karen Yari Milo is. Okay. So turns out that she is the dean of the school. And she, I guess, replaced, she's an Israeli. Enough said. She replaced Manus Shafik, who is Muslim. And at the height of the campus protests against Israel, she was under fire and experienced a lot of pressure to resign. So she did.
Starting point is 01:16:32 And she shouldn't have, she shouldn't have resigned, but she did. I get it. Some people can't take the heat. But here's the thing. We shouldn't be afraid of these people who, don't believe in our values. They should be afraid of us. But unfortunately, we are full to the brim in this country with cowards. I wouldn't quit. I wouldn't resign if they literally pointed a gun to my head. But she resigned. And I know she's not the bad guy here. I feel bad focusing on her.
Starting point is 01:17:02 But now you have this dean of school, Karen Yari Milo, an Israeli, who is happy to engage in discrimination on behalf of Zionists. That's what Columbia University has turned into. What a disgrace, honestly. Can you imagine sending your kid to a school like this? Like literally going into debt or your kid is going into debt to go to this, oh, fancy Ivy League. What are the values of the school? Disgusting. Disgusting. You're paying tuition and then Columbia is taking it and investing it in Israel. The lawsuit argues Colombia and Yari Milo's indifference enabled the harassment and doxing of multiple PWG members and ultimately led to Mahmoud Khalil's detainment. As student protest continued into the spring of 2024, the lawsuit
Starting point is 01:17:57 said Columbia became increasingly complicit in tolerating and fomenting a campus atmosphere that was rife with harassment, including surveillance, calling the New York Police Department to clear encampments and mass disciplinary proceedings of those with Arab or Muslim ancestry. They made the Zionist students uncomfortable. We can't have that. It's supposed to be smooth sailing for the Zionists in America. It's only for the rest of us where we experience a bumpy ride here and there. Or for eternity, I guess.
Starting point is 01:18:33 One of the other plaintiffs in the lawsuit, Bahavana, Bella, Bellam Konda, I apologize if I mispronounced that, told the Guardian specifically, what we are asking for is not special treatment. We are asking for the same protections that Columbia students are entitled to under state and federal law, and that Columbia itself has represented that it provides to its tuition-paying students. Well, some of the tuition-paying students. So look, Columbia hasn't directly responded to the lawsuit, but did write a statement that they provided to ABC News saying that creating a campus environment where every member of our community feels welcome, supported and safe is fundamental to who we are as a university. No, you're not. You're doxing your own students? Really? Like, what are you doing? So the same day that Mahmul Khalil filed this lawsuit against Columbia University for discriminating against Muslim and Palestinian students, the Intercept had a fascinating report out. And that report talked about how Colombia was paying hundreds of thousands of dollars to pro-Israel groups. And they've been doing so over the past three years while cracking down on pro-peace, pro-Palestinians. protesters. Pretty clear example of, you know, a double standard here, right? So recipients of
Starting point is 01:20:06 of the cash included the American Israel Public Affairs Committee's charity arm, the Israel on campus coalition and others. I would not send my, like I just, I get it. I get it. People are still under this delusion that like, oh, your life is made if you send your kid to one of these Ivy leagues. I would not spend a penny on supporting a school like this. So in the fiscal year ending in June of 2024, Colombia paid $100,000 to the Israel on campus coalition, $75,000 to APAC's American Israel Education Foundation, $450,000 to the United Jewish Appeal Federation of New York. I mean, Zionists sure love welfare, don't they? They can't get enough? So in the next fiscal year, they also gave $7,200 to the ADL for program services. And that term, by the way, not defined at all by the university.
Starting point is 01:21:11 And the pro-Israel organizations that received payments from Columbia stand out from the rest of the university's beneficiaries in its filings. So they might like toss around like dozens of dollars to other student organizations, right? But when it comes to like the giant figures that they're shelling out, oh, those figures go to the Zionist organizations. the pro-Israel organizations. In contrast to its pro-Israel giving, the school gives little or no such funds to pro-Palestine, Arab, or Muslim groups over the same period. Instead, they suspended multiple pro-Palestinian groups on campus, shut down encampments, and had the NYPD arrest pro-Palestine protesters on campus multiple times. Look, they shut down the library.
Starting point is 01:21:58 And if you want that, you know, blockade of the library to end, Okay, I get it. But they went further than that. They went further than that. And no one's really surprised by any of this. Any honest person who's been paying attention, not surprised by any of this. According to Joseph Howley, the associate professor of Classics at Columbia University and a Jewish member of their teaching staff, it confirms our worst suspicions since fall of 2023. Wait a minute, he's Jewish. Well, I thought, I thought it was anti-Semitic to call out this obvious brazen discrimination against Arabs, Muslims, and pro-Palestinian students.
Starting point is 01:22:41 Oh, or could it be that Israel's Zionist project is not indicative of what the entire Jewish population buys into or believes or supports? But let's get back to Joseph's comment here. It confirms our worst suspicion since fall of 2023. The pro-Israel and anti-Palestinian politics are the official policy of this institution. Disgusting. You could have surmise that from the institution's actions and speech, but it appears to also be revealed in its resource allocation. Miriam Alwan, a Palestinian-American activist who actually participated in the campus protest before graduating last year, spoke to the intercept to say that the whole reason why we were protesting in the first places because we knew that they were deeply invested in the genocide in Gaza. These findings
Starting point is 01:23:36 confirm what we've been saying all along. Now, Colombia, you know, it's this fancy Ivy League institution. Oh, the smartest minds, smartest minds, you know, join together in these Ivy League schools. They're so smart, except Colombia is claiming ignorance when it comes to how they invest their funds, you know, Pelosi style, if you will. A Columbia spokesperson said the grants went through a university administered donor advised fund. Oh, who's in charge of that, Netanyahu? An arrangement where a nonprofit organization pools tax deductible donations and lets the donors request to make specific distributions to other charities.
Starting point is 01:24:23 But donor advised funds are becoming known as a common way for, contributors to basically hide their donors to hide their identities when making these contributions. And as one student puts it, people talking about institutional neutrality. There's no institutional neutrality. Columbia has always been very pro-Israel, and this just goes to show that that's where their real commitments are. True. So let's say you don't even care about what happened to Mahmoud Khalil. I do. I think what happened to him was unjust, and it doesn't speak well of our country and what our government is willing to do in order to support a genocidal terror state. But you should care about Americans of all ethnicities, all races, all sexual orientations,
Starting point is 01:25:16 whatever. They should be treated fairly, especially, especially at an institution that receives government funding and is supposed to have a diverse student body. You're charging students, I don't even know what the tuition is at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if it's above $50,000 a year. You're charging students $50,000 a year and you're treating some of them as if they're second class citizens. What a disgrace. Look, enrollment is down across the board at pretty much every university. And honestly, I'm happy to see it. These universities discuss me, they have destroyed so many people's lives under this facade of preparing them for their future. And so I want to see enrollment continuing to drop. I want to see enrollment increasing at some
Starting point is 01:26:08 of these trade schools where, you know, people learn valuable trades where we actually have a shortage of workers. Because this elitism, this overproduction of elites, hasn't worked out so well for the elites or more importantly for the American people. All right. Give me one second, guys, before we go to break. 72,800, my bad. So one of the, there was a, I guess there was a mistake in one of the graphics or one of my notes. Hold on.
Starting point is 01:26:44 I'm waiting. Oh, that's the tuition. Okay, sorry, guys. So the tuition, my God. Imagine spending $72,800 a year to send your kid to a school where they might be discriminated against if they're not in favor of a Zionist occupied country and Israel committing genocide. Amazing. Amazing. Anyway, rethink where you want to go to school kids. Don't go to Columbia. We'll be right back. 1, 2, 3 says, I think it's billionaires who buy elections. Well, obviously, but, you know, wealthy people of all stripes by our elections.
Starting point is 01:27:50 James Kelly says, hey, did anyone else see that Elon made a deal with Louisiana to fire off 20 rockets? Viva Samud Pak Resister says they sit on the Armed Services Committee, hold the shares, take the checks, and ship bunker busters to an apartheid regime. Talking about our government. That's the business. $2.8 billion in bombs, paid by Americans while living paycheck to paycheck, profited by them, dropped on Palestinian civilians. Congress still calls it support. A PAC writes the donation, the bribe.
Starting point is 01:28:28 Contractors write the contract. Israel drops the payload. Senators keep the cut. This is exactly what's happening behind the scenes in D.C. It's happening in front of our faces, guys. It's not happening behind the scenes. They're doing it right in front of our faces. right in front of our faces.
Starting point is 01:28:46 I don't know how anyone is calm at this moment. I don't get it. I don't get it. How much pain? How much pain does Israel need to inflict on the American people for us to all wake up and not just complain about it on social media? APEC writes the donation.
Starting point is 01:29:07 Okay, your money leaves Washington, hits a U.S. factory, then hits Gaza. The only people who always win are the ones voting, yes. They restock. Welcome back, everyone. Spoiled PD rights in in our Twitch section and says, Anna, the majority are as furious as you. This is what happens when we have a corrupt minority government ruling over us with zero accountability. A lot of us feel we're powerless, even with our vote. I don't know if the majority is as furious as I am. And the reason why I say that is because my mind keeps going back to what happened to that Palestinian and Nigerian journalist Rula, who, you know, misspoke while, complaining about Hakeem Jeffries during that interview with Wajahat Ali. And so she called him an A-PAC monkey and then immediately said, I don't mean it in a racist way, even offered an apology afterward.
Starting point is 01:30:18 Anyone who harped on going after her, who were obsessed with going after, even after she apologized, which I don't think she needed to do, to be honest, Like you're you're not you're not as angry as I am okay because you don't bend and you don't negotiate with the terrorists. Okay? Now look, there are some well-meaning Democratic voters who like, you know, everything and they see everything through the lens of race. And I think that's a mistake. But whatever, it is what it is. But I'm not talking about them.
Starting point is 01:30:54 I'm talking about the people who exploited that situation in a bad faith way. And then I look at people on the left who are so obsessed with their own personal branding and purity that they like they bend immediately. They bend. They don't give them an inch. They give them everything. And I just want you guys to stop doing that. Stop doing that. Because I guarantee you if the rolls reversed, they're not giving you an inch.
Starting point is 01:31:19 So stop empowering and negotiating with the terrorists. You think Rula is the problem? Rula is the problem, really? Okay, anyway, let's move on. Let's talk about the real problem. God. An explosive new documentary featuring IDF whistleblowers has triggered the Israelis. I mean, what doesn't trigger the Israelis?
Starting point is 01:31:46 Can we have a list of things that do not trigger the Israelis? Because the Israelis are perpetually triggered. Which is weird for people who consider themselves God's chosen people, you would think God would choose people who aren't so easily triggered by, I don't know the truth. But let's get back to the story. So this is a film that was actually produced by two Israelis. Apparently, they have a moral, they have a sense of morality. They have a conscience.
Starting point is 01:32:13 Some Israelis do. And they put out this documentary called Naza. It was made by Oscar-winning Israeli filmmakers Yuval Abraham and Rachel Zor. And it provides chilling details on Israel's ongoing slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza. In fact, if I can get through it, here's a quick clip of Naza presented by Al Jazeera. You're at, at least, 20, 30, emukes, 300 people, Kilo. What the number of the most of the first, I remember that there was a to a stkiffa one.
Starting point is 01:32:46 I don't know to get how we're ghou, because we've got it but there, but there is sure of 500, Kilo, on a man one. So in that portion of the film, an IDF soldier discloses the fact that that a single air strike that was approved to kill one alleged Hamas militant killed 500 people. 500 people. They knew that before they carried out the strike. And the strike was approved anyway.
Starting point is 01:33:21 Because it's a genocide. Are we, we're going to play that game. We're going to pretend like it's not a genocide. Let's keep going. So Naza is an acronym that's used by Israeli intelligence. It means collateral damage. I don't even think they could call it collateral damage when they're intentionally killing civilians. But the filmmakers spoke to 24 anonymous military and intelligence insiders within the Israeli government about how air strikes on Gaza are carried out.
Starting point is 01:33:50 How do they get approved? IDF soldiers describe using the AI-powered system known as lavender in order to identify targets to strike. And it's estimated that over 73,000 Palestinians have been killed by the Israelis since October 7th of 2023. But honestly, I cringe every time I hear that number because it's obviously an underestimate. They leveled Gaza. Like, how effective or how able is the Gaza Ministry of Defense? I'm sorry, Gaza Ministry of Health. Are they even able to do the work that they're supposed to do?
Starting point is 01:34:30 Israel leveled Gaza. they continue slaughtering more and more and more and more people as the whole world has turned away. The genocide didn't stop. They've continued. They killed dozens and dozens of people every week, if not more. But the number's been at 73,000. So that's 73,000 direct deaths as a result of Israel's genocide that we know of. Doesn't include the bodies under the rubble. doesn't include the people who died after, you know, sustaining wounds.
Starting point is 01:35:05 Doesn't include people who died of starvation or those who died of other illnesses due to the fact that Israel is still not allowing 60% of the necessary humanitarian aid into the strip. So, yeah, the number is a lot higher, a lot higher. There aren't 2,000 people living in Gaza. But we don't know what the exact number is because Israel still will not allow journalists on the ground because they've got a lot to hide. In the meantime, they're quickly as quickly as they can, shoveling and taking as much of the rubble out of Gaza as they can. Why are they doing that? Are they doing that to help the Palestinian people?
Starting point is 01:35:49 No, no, no. They want to hide their crimes. They're taking the remains of dead Palestinians along with the rubble. Do you guys remember how in the middle of this genocide, one of the things that the Israelis did is they would go to grave sites? And they would just dig up and desecrate the graves of fallen Palestinians. And then they would throw them in a mass grave because they're psychopaths. They're evil. That's who they are. On Saturday, the film won the special jury prize at the Venice Film Festival, receiving a 25-minute standing ovation.
Starting point is 01:36:33 And that's a new festival record. Is this next video just them clapping for a long time? Okay, I'm going to skip it. Let's keep going. The filmmakers also won the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature Film in 2025 for No Other Land about settler violence in the West Bank. And what I appreciated about that film is it also included the, you know, the help, the work, the minds of Palestinian filmmakers.
Starting point is 01:37:03 Basil, Adra, and Hamdan Balal. So look, I'm happy to see Israelis putting out a film like this. It does feel a little weird that as, you know, Palestinian voices have been questioned, denied. People have been skeptical of the Palestinians. We can't trust them. We can't believe them. You know, once you have two Israeli filmmakers put out a film like this, people take it a lot more seriously. And look, I also understand that it's because of the fact that the vast majority of Israelis
Starting point is 01:37:33 deny the atrocities that have been committed. So it's kind of novel when you hear Israelis speak out against the atrocities. And I commend them. I think that it's the right thing to do, and I love the fact that they did this. But yeah, I'll also just note that it feels weird celebrating Israelis for doing the right thing when Palestinians have been doing the right thing, and they've been denied justice again and again and again. So I want to be honest about that. Now, let's get to the Israeli reactions. Let's have some fun, okay? Because, Because one thing I know about the genocide supporters, both in Israel and abroad, is that they really don't like facing the truth.
Starting point is 01:38:12 So Israel's response to the overwhelming international support for Naza was fury. Benjamin Netanyahu whined and cried about it. He said, I heard of it. And it's shocking. We're fighting worldwide anti-Semitic incitments. But when it comes from within us, it's intolerable. You are the scum of the earth. You should be executed at the Hague.
Starting point is 01:38:37 That has nothing to do with anti-Semitism. I don't care that you're a non-practicing Jew. I don't care at all. That means nothing to me. It's your actions as a genocidal scourge on humanity. Mickey Zahor, who is Israel's Minister of Culture, wow. If that's the Minister of Culture, explains a lot. But anyway, let's go to his post.
Starting point is 01:39:00 He says, this is exactly the reason I let, okay, he says, the win of the vile film Naza at the Venice Festival is shocking. The self-loathing that burns in the, no, no, no, no. These filmmakers are not engaged in self-loathing. Okay, if anything, these are the types of Israelis that might actually provide a future for the country of Israel. You know, if it weren't for Israelis like this, all Americans, all the international, you know, community would hear about is the atrocities that Israel carries out. If anything, a film like this being produced by Israelis who actually have a conscience is a good thing for the perspective the international community might have about Israeli citizens. But they're too dumb to realize that. So I'll continue with the rest of his statement.
Starting point is 01:40:00 The self-loathing that burns in the creators who are willing to harm their homeland, just to get applause from anti-Semites around the world is inconceivable and constitutes a betrayal of the state. Okay, I'm done with his comment. So one of the things that Netanyahu is threatened to do is file a lawsuit. He also threatened to file a lawsuit against the New York Times over Nicholas Christ. off's accurate reporting about how Israeli prison guards like to rape Palestinian hostages and torture them, which, by the way, there's plenty of evidence. There's literally IDF soldiers and Israeli prison guards on tape talking about how much pleasure
Starting point is 01:40:41 they get off of torturing Palestinian hostages, not prisoners. You're a prisoner if you've committed or you're suspected of committing a crime. These are individuals who never committed a crime, were never charged with a crime, but they're detained as hostages by the Israelis. And so Eyal Zamir, IDF chief of staff, also echoed Zahor's sentiments, whining and crying about the fact that he's scum of the earth, but doesn't want to accept it. IDF chief floats legal action against Naza film, orders probe of leaked material. Why don't you guys come after me if you think it's defamation to call you genocidal maniacs? You're disgusting.
Starting point is 01:41:17 Emily Schrader sent me a legal note. So cute. So cute, Emily. The revocation of nationality in Israel is legally possible, by the way, and it's something that these filmmakers have been threatened with. We're going to strip you of your Israeli citizenship. I guess Israel, if they really want to do it, they can. I would say maybe they're doing these filmmakers a favor.
Starting point is 01:41:44 I don't know. All I know is if I had the moral conscience that these filmmakers have, which I do, I wouldn't want to be associated with a country like Israel. In fact, as an American, I hate that our country is allied with a genocidal terrorist state. But that's what they're threatening them with. This is why so many people who are Jewish, by the way, in the United States, are afraid to speak out. Because you get blacklisted, your whole community comes after you for doing the right thing. And yet, according to the latest Pew Research polls, 67% of adults across 36 countries have a negative view of Israel.
Starting point is 01:42:22 not high enough. 67%, but what's wrong with the rest? We're taking risks in a system that privileges us. This is what the filmmaker, Yuval Abraham said, that has Jewish-Israeli supremacy. That's right. Jewish-Israeli supremacy, that is the right way to put it, as its founding characteristic.
Starting point is 01:42:44 Imagine if a Palestinian journalist in Gaza tried to do what we did and called up senior Israeli officials. There's no comparison. they would most likely be murdered. Palestinians get murdered every single day. Women, children, the elderly, doesn't matter. And it never ends. It never ends.
Starting point is 01:43:06 So I'm glad they put out this film. I mean, I wouldn't be too worried about the threats of having their citizenship stripped or a lawsuit. But by the way, final point that I'll make on the story. How are you going to call yourself a democracy when you're going after creatives because you don't like their message? Israel is not a democracy. It's never been a democracy. What's happening in the Middle East right now is a disgrace. The fact that we're funding it is a disgrace. And look, the one thing that gives me a little bit of solace, despite the fact that I myself am personally feeling the economic burden of Israel's bloodthirsty behavior on the international state, you know, the increase in oil prices and all that. I will say all of the little political prostitutes in the United States who took money
Starting point is 01:44:00 to provide cover for Israel's atrocities, you're feeling it too, aren't you? You helped usher in the moment we're all experiencing right now and you're hurting in your bank account just like the rest of us. And I'm here for it. That gives me some solace. You deserve it and a lot more. We got to take a break when we come back. will ask the important question, is Mitch McConnell still alive? Don't miss it.
Starting point is 01:44:45 Semper Firedog writes in in our Twitch section and says, oh, this sounds like it's going to incinerate a bunch more people leaving no evidence. That's in regard to the 2,000 pound bombs that you and me, as American citizens, will be paying for on behalf of Israel. Aren't we so lucky? Neoneal 201 says, so on a side topic, do we think that Mitch McConnell look alike? That was kind of in public today, was a mannequin or body double? Well, you are in for a treat because we will address that in the next segment. Everyone's been, you know, desperate for me to weigh in. I'm kidding.
Starting point is 01:45:22 No one's been desperate for me to weigh in on that. Scott Earth in our member section says, love you, Anna, keep it up. I intend to. Thank you. Thank you. Oh, that was Alyssa. You want to say hi to the audience, Alyssa? She forgot to turn a mic off.
Starting point is 01:45:36 Say hi. Hi. Please. All right. Let's go to Gasman 43. Trump got me wanting to gamble and so do all these new gambling posts so I can win to pay for my energy bill. Please don't do that. By the way, I, wow, the betting market stuff, I didn't fully understand it until like fairly, it's bad. It's really, really bad. It's really, really bad. And I just, a lot of people are losing everything. because there are no safeguards.
Starting point is 01:46:10 It's not at all regulated like gambling sites. They're considered betting markets. So there are certain regulations they do not have to abide by. And as a result, I mean, like my husband who works at a school, kids are using those sites to gamble. It's insane. Right, everyone. If we end this segment or this story early, I'll read some more of your comments.
Starting point is 01:46:59 But for now, why don't we talk a little bit about Mitch McCawker. 's grand entrance in the Senate, now that the Senate's in session. Look, the only way to react to this is by fully understanding how insulting it is to the American people that this keeps happening. It's happened with Diane Feinstein, former Democratic senator. Now it's happening with Mitch McConnell. It's a disgrace. And it shows you how broken our government really is.
Starting point is 01:47:30 Let's get into it. Well, it turns out U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell is, I think, maybe somewhat alive and made his return to the Senate yesterday to cast his first vote in over 92 days. And as you can see, he's nothing but smiles. You know, there he is being wheeled in to the floor of the Senate to cast his vote. And there was a video that went viral. It's a TMZ video so we can't play it due to copyright issues. But if you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about. Here's a still. This was his face during the entirety of the video.
Starting point is 01:48:14 He didn't move it. He didn't move at all. He just had that look on his face, which obviously gave everyone weekend at Bernie vibes. Now McConnell is 84 years old and he was hospitalized back in June following a fall. And remember, early reporting on this indicated that he was hospitalized because he suffered from cardiac arrest. I don't know what the truth is, to be honest with you. What I do know is that he's not fit to serve as a United States senator. I know that.
Starting point is 01:48:44 Because here's the thing. We should expect the bare minimum of what's expected of us at the workplace. So if I didn't show up to work for 92 days, I think it's safe to say Jank would probably hire a different co-host, right? I don't think I could really rely on my job still being there if I've been gone for 92 days. But when it comes to the United States Senate or Congress in general, which by the way, half the year, they're not even working. They're on recess. They get away with murder, sometimes literally. or just not showing up.
Starting point is 01:49:25 But I actually think that under this political system, that's not the bug. That's the feature. That's the feature. So again, McConnell's 84 years old, suffered from something, either cardiac arrest or a fall or both. His office claimed in July that he contracted a mild case of pneumonia during his recovery from the fall. Maybe you should resign. Maybe you need to take care of your health, live out your final years or months in peace. But no, can't let that happen.
Starting point is 01:49:54 McConnell took to X yesterday. McConnell took to X yesterday to share his excitement to return to work, writing that I'll cast my first Senate vote since I took a bad fall back in June. I'm really looking forward to being back on the Senate floor and seeing my colleagues. My recovery has been long and often frustrating. and the lingering effects of childhood polio haven't made it any easier. I'm still not quite back to 100% resign. Then you should resign. But I've assured leader Thune that as I continue with physical therapy on the advice of my doctors,
Starting point is 01:50:33 I will do my best to be present for tough votes when our conference needs me. How about you're not fit to serve? Okay, hey, Jank, let me hit Jacob. Hey, hey, Jank. So here's the thing. I'm not feeling so well. I took a fall. It might have been cardiac arrest, but here's what's going to happen.
Starting point is 01:51:04 I'll show up to do the show on the important days. Okay, on the important days, I'm still expecting my full salary and benefits, but like I'm going to miss a lot of work. Okay? All right, okay. It's ridiculous, right? It's ridiculous. No one else gets away with that. These are people who signed up to be our public servants. They're supposed to serve us. And this homeboy is like, the world owes me everything, including my congressional benefits, my salary, but I don't have to show up to work unless, you know, it's like really important and I have to be there. He's a senator, guys. There's only a hundred of them. Resign, but he won't. He won't. Okay. And then he says, Elaine and I are very grateful for all the continued well wishes from our fellow Kentuckians. How does Elaine feel about the fact that it appears she's been working for the Chinese government? How does Mitch McConnell feel about that? Does he even know? Is he cognitively aware that his wife
Starting point is 01:52:06 has been working for the Chinese government? We're going to get to that. Hold. So what was his actual return to the Senate like? According to Manu Raju over at CNN, who was outside of the Senate chamber awaiting McConnell's return yesterday, Mitch McConnell, appearing frailer and his voice slower, tells reporters, quote, I must admit after two years, two decades, actually dodging your questions. I wasn't sure how many of you would be here today, but I'm glad to see you. Time to get back to work, finish the job for this Congress. What is the job exactly? I'm curious.
Starting point is 01:52:44 I'm here to work on the farm bill. Okay. As I think you know, I have an ongoing issue in NATO and backing up our good friends who are totally in the fight against the Russians. He came back to provide more war funding and potentially more cuts to snap. That's usually what Republicans want to do with the farm bill. I mean, we got to save some money, right? Especially as we're in the red for Israel. Like we can't, we can't feed the needy in America.
Starting point is 01:53:16 get back to work. Get back to work. Oh, you can't find a job because you're being replaced by AI. Too bad. Haven't dealt with that either. So according to Punchbowl News, senior congressional reporter Andrew Desidero, while photos are allowed of the senator prior to his vote, reporters were apparently barred from taking any video.
Starting point is 01:53:40 And if you take a look at the TMZ video that I referenced earlier, you'll understand why. He says some more photos of McConnell as he returned to the Senate for the first time in three months following a fall at his DC home. Reporters were barred from recording video. I would have recorded it anyway. But he has already missed another roll call this morning because he's not fit to be a United States senator. He's 84 years old. He's frail and he should resign. So independent journalist Desiree Townsend says confirmed. Senator Mitch McConnell missed this morning's roll call vote. He has now missed 61 roll call votes since his June 14th hospitalization with last night's vote, his only participation since being discharged from the hospital. Amazing. So according to the Daily Beast, McConnell and his staffers have collected roughly $893,873 in taxpayer-funded paychecks over the past
Starting point is 01:54:44 92 days, you know, the 92 days when they weren't doing Jack. The senator and his office led by chief of staff, Terry Carmack, who makes more than $226,000 annually, have still not provided a clear medical diagnosis, any medical documentation, or a statement from his medical team. Moreover, they have not explained why paramedics had given him CPR before rushing him to the hospital. I don't know about you guys, but when I suffer or fall, I don't get CP. You know, no one administers CPR. They're obviously lying to us. But the final thing I want to bring to your attention, because it's important, is when he was hospitalized, Elaine Chow left for
Starting point is 01:55:36 China, which is weird. And then she like stayed there for a while while her husband was hospitalized. Okay, my husband's hospitalized. I drop everything. Okay, and it's not because I want to be a dutiful wife. It's because I love him and I want to be there for him. Elaine Chow, chumming it up over in China. What you up to, Elaine? What are you up to? While the daily caller looked into it. And the details are fascinating. Okay, so it turns out she worked for the Chinese Communist Party while simultaneously holding a U.S. cabinet position. What? Okay, so the Daily Caller translated Chinese government and state media communications to uncover the scoop. And the scoop is damning. Those reports describe Elaine Chao's appointments in various ways, with some stating she had been hired or had accepted an appointment letter.
Starting point is 01:56:32 While others simply note that she was then among those holding a given title. The report has to do with the United Front and Work Department, or the UFWD, which is a CCP, Chinese Communist Party, Intelligence and Influence Agency. Okay. So Beijing uses the UFWD to steer foreign policy and gain access to advanced foreign technology, according to the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission. A branch of the UFWD appointed Chow as an advisor and committee member of its fifth council between September of 2012 and 2017. So that, you know, would have overlapped Elaine Chow's time as secretary of transportation. She was a secretary of the Transportation Department under Trump's first term. while working for the Chinese Communist Party.
Starting point is 01:57:40 And then when her husband later, years later, was hospitalized, she went to China? Another wing of the UFWD appointed Chow and her father as honorary chairman of its third council, while Chow was serving under George W. Bush as the secretary of the Department of Labor. So there's more. Believe it or not, there's more. So after her Department of Labor tenure, a CCP official also tapped Chow to serve as a Wuhan municipal government international advisor in October of 2009, owing to her extensive experience and resources in international affairs and perceived ability to create more favorable conditions for Wuhan in matters of foreign affairs and attracting overseas. talent, according to daily caller translations of state media reports. And then there's that pesky little Chinese government announcement dating back to 2009. You guys want me to read it? I'll read it. Here's what it said. On her first visit to Wuhan, Elaine Chow said she was deeply impressed by the city's immense development potential. And she expressed her willingness to promote mutual understanding
Starting point is 01:59:01 between the peoples of the United States and China as well as cooperation in exchange across various domains and at the same time said she'd do her best to fulfill her duties within her area of expertise as a Wuhan municipal government international advisor. So I'm going to I'm going to need a little more details about what she's been up to in China. Because here's the thing, I don't have a problem with her serving as a U.S. diplomat who's trying to smooth over tensions or conflict with a foreign country. I mean, that's what diplomats are supposed to do. And I would prefer not to go to war, especially with a country like China. Let's prevent it if we can. But something tells me this goes much, much, much, much further than that, much further than that.
Starting point is 01:59:48 But hey, you know, the United States of America, I thought it was the country that's worth fighting for. But it turns out that everyone, including the boomers, seem to see it as a commuter state. You know, just a country that people from all around the world come to extract resources and leave. I guess that's what the United States is. Pathetic. And it's amazing because the Daily Caller, by the way, is a conservative publication. And they actually went out of their way to hold a right-wing senator's wife accountable for possibly breaking the law and like serving a foreign country while her husband is a long time,
Starting point is 02:00:35 long serving United States Senator. That's the world we're living in, folks. I don't know what else I could say about it. It's so terrible. Okay, final thing that I'll talk about here is the Supreme Court's decision. Just I'm so sick of this story. But okay, let's get into it. So Trump's war against mail in ballots has taken a huge hit because the Supreme Court has finally struck it down, which is good news because, of course, the Trump administration and Republicans had a vested interest in making it harder for Americans to vote, given the fact that they're deeply unpopular. They're losers. They reneged on every single promise, dragged us into a war that's been devastating for our economy and the global economy.
Starting point is 02:01:26 Trump has a devastatingly low approval rating. So why not just cheat? In fact, if you don't believe what I'm saying, then you should hear it from the horse's mouth. Here is President Donald Trump at his insanely dwebish midterm convention, urging Americans to do something fascinating during the midterms. Let's take a look.
Starting point is 02:01:52 Please raise your right hand. I pledge to the greatest president in the history of the United States loves us so much he can't even breathe out with my family my friends
Starting point is 02:02:18 I'll do it anyway I don't care if I'm registered or not I'm going to try and cheat like hell like they do there's never been bigger cheaters that don't care I am going to go out and I'm going to go out I'm going to get my friends, my family. And we are going to vote on November 3rd, or we are going to vote before that. So I can understand why Trump is so friendly with the Israelis.
Starting point is 02:02:49 Every accusation is a confession. And so Trump's big accusation was, oh, well, we've got a bunch of undocumented immigrants, illegal aliens voting in our elections. No evidence of that, of course, of course. But he just lied and continued lying about that in order to drum up support for making it incredibly difficult to vote by mail. So he had put out an executive order, if you guys don't remember, I'll tell you exactly what he wanted to do. So based on his executive order, he wanted states to turn over lists of eligible voters that included their names and addresses to the Postal Service. then the postal service would be tasked with determining who is and isn't eligible,
Starting point is 02:03:35 and then they would send the mail-in ballots to those they deem eligible. So initially the Supreme Court did not side with the plaintiffs in this case, right? So various Democratic states sued Trump over this executive order. Initially, the Supreme Court found that the states who were complaining did not have standing, because this policy had not gone into effect yet. Then it made its way back to the Supreme Court, and here's what we know. They struck it down. Why did they strike it down?
Starting point is 02:04:09 Well, because there isn't enough time to implement something like this when the midterms are right around the corner, and that chaos, which would inevitably ensue, would make it pretty damaging to the results of the midterm elections. And by the way, just to give you a sense of how popular mail-in voting is, nearly a third of voters used mail ballots in 2024. And last-minute changes to how they are handled could lead to undelivered ballots and uncounted votes. By the way, who won the popular vote in 2024 again? Donald Trump, that's right. A lot of those mail-in ballots voted for Trump. But anyway, I digress.
Starting point is 02:04:52 So the executive order was issued several preliminary injunctions by federal judges prior to reaching the Supreme Court, including on the grounds that the president lacked the constitutional authority to set voting policy and that the U.S. Postal Service has no authority to control mail-in voting. The Supreme Court ruling on Monday keeps those injunctions in place. They did not strike them down. And the main reason the Supreme Court gave for its decision is, again, based on the rushed timing of the implementation of the executive order ahead of the midterms. So Justice Kavanaugh wrote the majority decision here to uphold the injunctions. Here's what he said. In my view, based on the briefing the court has received at this interim stage, there is at least a fair prospect that the final rule falls within the Postal Services statute. authority. I disagree with him on that, but he goes for the save in the next portion.
Starting point is 02:05:55 He says, but applying the rules in the 26 elections would be arbitrary and capricious in violation of the Administrative Procedure Act because state and local election officials do not have sufficient time to reasonably implement the rule before the elections. So I've got good news and bad news. Good news is they have struck. down Trump's executive order this time around. But it doesn't mean that the Trump administration isn't going to push for this again. And in fact, I guarantee you Trump will. Because really the main point that Kavanaugh is making here is there isn't enough time left.
Starting point is 02:06:35 And this is going to lead to chaos. So no, we're not going to do this. But Trump can pursue this executive order for the 28 presidential election. And I have no doubt that he will. Now, in his usual measured manner, Trump reacted to the ruling by crying about it on social media. Republicans just got another bad decision from the U.S. Supreme Court, one that the court system took forever to give and then blamed it in part on no time left to implement a solution to our totally corrupt and out of control mail-in voting disaster, which is a laughing stock all over the way. You are a laughing stock all over the world. Our president, our political system is so embarrassing.
Starting point is 02:07:19 We are the laughing stock of the entire world because of our political leadership. But anyway, look, long story short, they're losers. He knows he's a loser, 32% approval rating, so he's got to try to cheat to win elections. It's so sad and so pathetic. Members only bonus is next. I'll see you there.
