I'm hearing I'm not doing well.
Oh, I'm a double.
The viewers, you are watching The Young Turks.
I'm your host, Anna Kasparian.
And I got to be honest, producing the show today was nearly impossible.
And that's because the news is changing, evolving, devolving, depending on how you like to look at it,
minute by minute.
So we're going to do our best to give you the latest in regard to this alleged ceasefire
between the United States and Iran.
And I say alleged because there have been violations of the ceasefire so far.
There are disagreements in regard to the Iranian 10-point plan, which Trump seemed incredibly receptive to.
last night, but suddenly is pretending like he's not receptive to it. We're going to get to all of that
later in the show. I do want to discuss all the different ways in which this war has devastated the
global economy, and it goes way far, way further, I should say, than the price of oil. And I tell you
that because if this war were to end right now, which I really hope it does end right now,
It's important to keep in mind that the United States did not win.
In fact, the United States is in a worse position today than it was prior to this war popping off.
And it's just more reinforcement of the argument that the United States must decouple from the malignant relationship it has with Israel.
So we'll get to all those details later on in the show as well.
hopefully we'll have some time to discuss the latest PR stunt by Sam Altman because there was a giant
expose written about him and he's looking to maybe launder his image and reputation a little bit.
So we'll get to that later in the show.
And for our members, we will be having a bonus episode today, which will be behind a paywall.
Our members are amazing.

It helps to spread the message of TYT and the work we do. All right. With all that housekeeping out of the way,
let's get to the nitty gritty. Let's get to the good stuff, what you're here for.
The Iranians originally put forward a 10-point plan that was fundamentally unsurious, unacceptable, and completely discarded.
was literally thrown in the garbage by President Trump.
And we are ready to resume the fighting at any moment.
Our finger is on the trigger.
It is very clear to me as a country which is relatively close to Lebanon that the Israeli
offensive right now is completely counterproductive.
And I do believe that if we want to talk about a complete ceasefire in the region,
it needs to essentially extend to all theaters of operation.
While one could celebrate today the fact that the president of the United States
didn't pull the trigger on destroying Iran's civilization, as he had threatened to do,
the fact of the matter is, at this current moment, it is unclear whether this so-called two-week
ceasefire between the United States and Iran will actually hold.
In fact, Iranians announced that there had already been some violations.
of the ceasefire. And it looks like the Trump administration is now backing away from claims made
yesterday in regard to accepting or at least being open to Iran's 10-point plan as the basis,
the foundation of negotiations that are supposed to take place between the U.S. and Iran later this
week. So let's get into it because I want to give you the details again as they stand right now.
by the time we end the show today, I'm sure things are subject to change.
But here's what we know.
Okay.
There seemed to be some positive developments yesterday, as we shared on the program.
However, according to the Associated Press, Iran's Supreme National Security Council said it has accepted the ceasefire and that it would negotiate with the United States in Pakistan beginning Friday.
Neither Iran nor the United States said when the ceasefire would begin and attacks took place in Israel, Iran, and across the Gulf region early Wednesday.
Now, it's important to keep in mind that Israel was not privy to these negotiations between the United States and Iran.
And if you were paying close attention to the Israel firsters on social media last night, it was abundantly clear that they were upset, to say the least, not very happy.
And so Israel had continued taking strikes from Iran, right?
Iran continued striking Israel at the same time.
There were some violations in terms of the ceasefire when it came to Israel's purpose.
I'm sorry, Iran's purposes.
So Iran retaliated by striking some of the Gulf countries.
But again, these strikes continue to some extent.
Israel was continuing its attacks on Iran said an Israeli military official who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Iran also kept up fire on Israel. So every time Iran gets struck, bombed in any way, they retaliate. And so if they're taking hits from Israel, they're going to retaliate. And that's what they've been doing. But at the same time, Israel, again, was not privy to the ceasefire talks, which were mediated by Pakistan. The U.S. military has halted, or this is according to the Associated Press, it's not entirely.
true, but for a brief period of time, the U.S. military had halted all offensive operations
against Iran, but continues defensive actions, said an official who spoke on condition of anonymity
to describe sensitive military operations. So I'm going to pause for a second to just kind of discuss
what is possibly going on here. When you look at the U.S. weapons stockpile and the fact that we
were incredibly low when it came to certain missiles that we need for a war like this,
the fact that we had depleted missile interceptors to, you know, have some defensive capability in this war against Iran.
There is a possibility that Trump both wanted to back out of what he had threatened to do against Iran, right?
Which was to potentially deploying nuclear or unconventional weapons against Iran to, quote unquote, destroy their civilization.
Their civilization will die tonight, as Trump had stated in one of his truth social posts.
It's possible he wanted to find a way to wiggle out of that, which I commend him for because using unconventional weapons or nuclear weapons against Iran would be horrible.
There's also a possibility that the U.S. knows that it is low when it comes to its weapons stockpile.
And so maybe this is an opportunity for the U.S. to replenish weapons, although that's incredibly difficult to do, considering some of the shortages we have in things like helium.
Believe it or not, helium is necessary to build some of these weapons.
And the war has destroyed helium plants and facilities across the Middle East in Gulf countries
and in Iran as well.
So congratulations, America.
You're really knocking it out of the park or hitting it out of the park.
But there are just too many signs that, honestly, this ceasefire isn't even going to last long.
Okay?
So, for instance, Iranian state TV reported just today that in violation,
of the ceasefire, U.S. Israeli forces targeted the Levan oil refinery on Levan Island.
The president, safety and firefighting teams are working to extinguish the flames and secure the area.
In fact, here's a little more detail on what Iran considers breaches of this so-called two-week ceasefire.
He's reported an enemy attack on an oil refinery on Lavan Island, the national Iranian oil refining and distribution
company says it was hit at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. That's after the ceasefire was announced.
We know that so far Tehran has mentioned some cases of actually breach of that. In addition to the
point that you mentioned on the attack in LaVan, we know that Iran has also reported the downing
of a drone in Fars province in the central areas of the country today. And of course it is
interpreting that and as another instance of bridge.
Now I'm gonna tell you about someone that is a partner of ours that our audience loves.
If you know me, I'm always out of time.
When I need a fresh meal that's delicious and nutritious, my go to is cook unity.
Cook Unity is a chef crafted meals straight to your door.
I recently tried jerk chicken rasta pasta in my last order.
Why did I pick that one?
Because the name sounded fun.
And it turned out it was delicious.
That sounds fun.
So it's high protein and gave me the energy I needed to finish the day strong and I like to finish the day strong.
These aren't boring repetitive meals. I've done a lot of them. These are all-star chefs,
food network alums and James Beard winners, which I found out is a good thing.
I was like James Beard. I'm just kidding. You're handpicking seasonal ingredients and
balancing bold flavors with nutrition, which I need. There are over 25 diets and
cuisines to choose from to satisfy your cravings and wellness goals. Commitment-free

code T-YT or going to cookunity.com slash t-y-t. Now that report, of course, comes from Al Jazeera.
And if those watching the program right now are wondering, why are you using a news organization based out of Qatar?
Well, I would use US media if they did a decent job in covering what's going on right now.
CNN at the moment is too busy doing their 50th segment on Hassan Piker.
But I digress.
So there also seems to be some confusion among the Trump administration about the ceasefire.
They agreed with they agreed upon.
So Trump wrote on Truth Social that numerous agreements, lists, and letters are being sent out by people that have absolutely nothing to do with the USA slash Iran negotiation. In many cases, they are total fraudsters, charlatans, and worse. He continues in his Truth Social Post to write that there's only one group of meaningful points that are acceptable to the United States. And we will be discussing them behind closed doors during these negotiations.
These are the points that are the basis on which we agreed to a ceasefire.
It is something that is reasonable and can easily be dispensed with.
Okay, so he didn't clarify which meaningful points he was referring to here.
However, this is what Trump wrote on truth social last night,
because I think it's important to remind you all what Trump had said and what he appeared to agree on last night as this, you know, very fragile,
ceasefire was announced. He said that we received a 10-point proposal from Iran and believe it is a
workable basis on which to negotiate. Almost all of the various points of past contention have been
agreed to between the United States and Iran, but a two-week period will allow the agreement to
be finalized and consummated on behalf of the United States as president and also representing the
countries of the Middle East, it is an honor to have this long-term problem close to resolution.
So at no point in that statement did President Donald Trump raise any issues with the 10-point
plan that was offered up by the Iranians. Nonetheless, I want to read that to you what the 10
points contain, and then we'll get to what the possible confusion can be. So this is a screenshot
from Trita Parsy's piece on the ceasefire.
He listed the 10 points, and I want to read them to you right now.
The U.S. must fundamentally commit to guaranteeing non-aggression.
That's going to be very difficult for the U.S., as we all know.
Continuation of Iran's control over the Strait of Hormuz, a lot of people salty about that,
but it was always in Iran's 10-point plan.
Acceptance that Iran can enrich uranium for its nuclear program,
pay close attention to that point in particular,
removal of all primary sanctions on Iran. This is something that Iran has been wanting from the very beginning.
The sanctions that have been implemented against Iran were meant to cause an uprising among the Iranian people,
which is how the protests in late December, early January began. It was about economic frustration,
not about regime change. Those demonstrations, which were, you know, again, caused by U.S. sanctions against Iran,
were then co-opted by the Israelis and Mossad, essentially agitating, which then led to mass killings,
right? And so I don't buy, I certainly do not buy the casualty numbers that are being regurgitated
by, you know, monarchists, propagandists here in the United States. They claim the 35,000 people
have been killed. I don't believe the IRC's numbers either, right? I believe numbers that have been
confirmed with the names of the individuals who have been killed. And that's somewhere, I'm going
to say roughly 6,500 people were killed, which by the way, is bad enough, is bad enough.
But you have to understand how those protests started, why they started, what the real reason was.
And more importantly, how those protests were co-opted by bad actors who couldn't care less
about the well-being of the Iranian people. I mean, just take a look at what's happening right
now in Iran, what happened during, you know, the several weeks that this war has been going on,
how many Iranians have been slaughtered as a result of this war? And you're going to tell me that the
Israelis care about the well-being of the Iranians. They literally destroyed a Jewish synagogue
in Iran. And by the way, took full responsibility of it. I was listening to interviews of some of the,
you know, Jewish individuals who would go to that synagogue and they said, yeah, we're not surprised
that Israel did this, they've been very hostile toward us because we're anti-Zionists.
So that goes back to the argument that I've been making from the very beginning when people
try to label critics of Israel as anti-Semites. Zionist ideology is a political ideology.
It is not an identity.
Jewish people must be protected. Jewish people as a group are not guilty of anything.
But the nation state of Israel, it's government, it's military, and the political ideology of Zionism,
absolutely should be called out, especially considering all the bloodshed it has led to.
Okay, let's get back to this 10-point plan. So again, acceptance that Iran can enrich uranium
for its nuclear program, removal of all primary sanctions on Iran, removal of all secondary
sanctions against foreign entities that do business with Iranian institutions, end of all UN
Security Council resolutions targeting Iran, end of all IAEA International Atomic Energy
agency resolutions on Iran's nuclear program, compensation payment to Iran for war damage.
So they want reparations for all the damage that we have done, that Israel has done when it
comes to their own country, withdrawal of U.S. combat forces from the region, ceasefire on
all fronts. This is also important, including Israel's conflict with Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Now, according to the Associated Press, apparently there were some translational differences, and maybe that's the heart of the disagreement here.
So the version in Farsi included the phrase acceptance of enrichment for its nuclear program, but for reasons that remain unclear, that phrase was missing in English versions shared by Iranian diplomats to journalists.
That's what the Associated Press is claiming.
Okay, that's the only area in which I can see a miscommunication here.
However, Trump has put out a statement claiming that the U.S. is working closely with Iran
to ensure that there will be no enrichment of uranium and that we will dig up and remove,
with the help of Iran, all the deeply buried nuclear dust.
So he's referring to the enriched uranium that I believe, and this is my speculation, I believe that
there was a special operation taking place deep within Iran to retrieve that enriched uranium.
I believe that special operation went wrong. We lost a bunch of aircraft, military aircraft as a result.
And then, you know, Trump can't ever admit defeat. So I believe that they use that disastrous
incident to claim that they had heroically saved a member of our military, right? That troop, that
pilot that was allegedly missing. I don't know what the reality is. All I know is, I don't
trust the narrative coming out of the Trump administration because they have been lying to the
American people about this from the very beginning. I'm not going to take the IRGC's word for it either.
However, when you take a look at how many soldiers were in the area, how much we had in terms
of aircraft and military assets in the area, right, this mountainous region, it seems like they were
there to try to retrieve the enriched uranium, which is so stupid. It's so stupid. Because
It's all a cover story.
The enriched uranium, the nuclear program, it's always just been a cover story because this whole war,
for Israel's purposes, has always, always been about regime change and nothing more.
So, and of course, the way Israel tends to get what they want is they play the role of,
oh my God, we're so scared.
Oh, my God, we're in a hostile region.
Oh, my God.
We keep stealing land and encroaching on other people's borders and bombing our neighbors.
And everybody hates us.
So we got to make sure we get that enriched uranium.
In reality, they wanted to do to Iran what was done to Libya and Syria.
But Iran is a different country, okay?
And they ain't playing.
They had been prepping for this war for literally decades.
And they were hiding their cards to some extent.
We didn't know.
We knew that they had military capability.
We didn't know the extent to which they had military capability
because they had been so restrained in, you know, pre-exemptive.
previous elements of this war, right, when the U.S. attacked Iran's nuclear sites during the 12-day war.
I mean, Iran really didn't retaliate the way that they could have, which made people question,
well, do they really have the capacity to cause significant harm with their military?
And it turns out, yeah, they do.
And by the way, every time Secretary of Defense Pete Heggzeth claims that, oh, we have just destroyed Iran's military.
We have depleted their weapons.
They're done.
Iran ends up carrying out an attack that's pretty significant.
Okay?
So that's why I don't really trust much of what comes out of the Trump administration when
it comes to updates on this war.
Now, Iran's 10-point plan says nothing about working with the United States in order
to retrieve the enriched uranium.
But I want to go to this next clip.
Let's watch.
I've seen a lot of inaccurate coverage today from the media about these negotiations and these plans already.
So let me be clear and correct the record.
The Iranians originally put forward a 10-point plan that was fundamentally unsurious, unacceptable, and completely discarded.
It was literally thrown in the garbage by President Trump and his negotiating team.
Many outlets in this room have falsely reported on that plan as being acceptable to the United States, and that is false.
Did you know that the average employer has to sift through about 250 resumes just to find a single job?

So completely different message from what we heard, what we read from President
Donald Trump last night, where again, he claimed, okay, it's important to read it again,
that they received the 10-point proposal from Iran and believe it is a workable basis
to which on which to negotiate.
Now all of a sudden you have White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt saying,
we throw it away. We trash it.
I don't think that we are going to really get a ceasefire here.
That is my prediction.
And there are other reasons for why I believe that.
So when we come back from the break,
we'll talk about these sticking points for Iran,
which include Lebanon and the Strait of Hormuz.
We'll be right back.
All right, welcome to our social break.
T.O. 1790 in our member section says, I believe Donald Trump himself doesn't even know what he is thinking.
I think you're right about that. I think there have been clues or hints about how desperately Trump wants to pull out of this war.
If you believe the New York Times reporting about how he was convinced into engaging in this war, he was totally manipulated by the Israelis,
realized that this is not an easy war to win and was looking for an exit.
route that would allow him to at least pretend, like spin the narrative and pretend that the
US was victorious. Now, the big problem here, though, guys, is Israel doesn't want the war to end.
And they were furious when this two-week ceasefire was announced last night. So I don't think
that this war is over. I don't think we're even close. So let's just wait and see. Nerd Ferguson says,
the good old GOP playbook, break something, fix it partially, take credit for solving a problem.
I know Pete Higgs's press conference today was so embarrassing.
But then again, Pete Hegseth himself as a human being is embarrassing.
Art Guy says helium turning out to be the MVP in a whole lot of industrial processes,
including AI data centers, apparently.
The thing you learn when someone starts a major war, huh?
Absolutely.
By the way, Art Guy, your total killer, love your artwork.
And congratulations on the accolades.
All right, we got to get.
I mean, look, we're talking about peace, war, important topics.
but what could be more important than hiring practices and what kind of companies you use in order
to hire the right employees, which is why I bring to you ZipRecruiter.
ZipRecruiter, did you know the average employer has to sift through nearly 250 resumes to fill
a single job?
That's insane, super time consuming.
But if you're currently hiring, I have great news, you can review all of those applications
faster with ZipRecruiter.
ZipRecruiter's new feature shows you the most interested, qualified candidate.
first, their matching technology finds candidates fast and bumps the people who are actually

slash t-y-t. That's ziprecruiter.com slash t-y-t. In fact, you can try it for free if you go to that
specific URL, ziprecruiter.com slash t-y-t. All right, fantastic. Let's get back to the news.
So the fragility of the so-called two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran is very apparent.
And nothing makes it more apparent than what is currently transpiring in Lebanon. Now, the Iran,
Iranians had put out a 10-point plan that recently Trump accepted full-heartedly.
I mean, he didn't say I agree to every single point on this 10-point list.
However, it is a reasonable basis on which we can, you know, begin negotiations.
But on that list was the very, very last point from Iran was all war needs to stop, including in Lebanon.
However, Israel immediately began to intensify its attacks against Lebanon after Trump announced
that there would be this two-week ceasefire with Iran.
So Israel said that it was continuing military operations in Lebanon against Hezbollah,
which I'm not buying because they are bombing areas of Lebanon where Hezbollah doesn't even
operate.
And, you know, this is prompting protests from Iran.
Iran is basically saying there's no ceasefire if the brutality of the Israelis is still carried out against the Lebanese people.
And so this came despite the fact that the, again, Iranian 10-point plan made it clear.
They want the hostilities and the war against Lebanon to stop.
So here's how Israel responded to it.
In 10 minutes, the IDF completed the largest coordinated strike across Lebanon since the start of Operation Rory.
roaring lion. The strike targeted 100 plus Hezbollah headquarters, military arrays, and command
centers in Beirut, Beka, and southern Lebanon, including intelligence command centers and central
headquarters used, planning terror attacks, infrastructure of firepower and naval arrays responsible
for launching missiles, assets of the Rodwan force, and the aerial unit, Hezbollah's elite units.
Okay, that's all BS.
Complete and utter hogwash.
Now, why do I say that?
Because the strikes, the first strike,
the first strike that Israel carried out after the ceasefire was announced,
hit an ambulance.
They really, really love striking rescue workers, don't they?
And the peacekeepers, too.
Unifil?
Oh, can't get enough of striking them.
There have been peacekeepers who have been killed.
others have been devastatingly wounded, severely injured.
And some journalists have been killed recently as well after the ceasefire was announced.
So Israel Katz, the defense minister for Israel, admitted that these were surprise, surprise attacks.
Take a look at your screens right now.
Look at what the Israelis are up to.
This is what's been going on since the ceasefire was announced.
So Katz admitted that these were surprise attacks, meaning that civilians had no chance to evacuate
to ensure, you know, maximum civilian casualties.
Those killed include 92 people who were killed in Beirut.
Another 742 individuals in Beirut were wounded.
61 people were killed in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
18 people were killed in Balbek.
Nine were killed in Haral.
28 were killed in Nabat, and 12 were killed in Sudan.
So the death toll is likely higher at this point, but I will be,
interviewing Courtney Bonneau an independent journalist based in Lebanon later today to give us a
clearer picture of the devastation that's been carried out by the Israelis. But as I was producing
the story, the number, the death toll was as follows. 245 killed and 1,165 wounded by today's
Israeli attacks on Lebanon. You're going to tell me that all those people were Hezbollah militants?
No, they weren't Hezbollah militants.
Israel made sure to slaughter some journalists as well.
So let's get to the two in Lebanon.
I should note that they also killed a journalist in Gaza.
So Lebanese journalist Gada Dyak of Swat al-Fara radio was killed earlier today in an Israeli strike targeting her home.
Interesting.
Was her home a Hezbollah command center?
I just need to make it very clear what the Israelis are doing to Lebanon right now is very similar to what the Israelis did in Gaza.
And they're doing this specifically to annex southern Lebanon. They've already announced it.
Now, they claim they're doing it because they desperately need a buffer zone, which is hilarious because they're planning on settling that land.
Let's just keep it real. But aside from that, how are you going to say that it's going to be a buffer zone when Hezbollah has missiles that can hit central Israel?
The only way you're going to see an end to all the bloodshed is if you end the war.
But Israel doesn't want to end the war.
Netanyahu doesn't want to end the war.
And he wants more land.
So he's going to keep going.
The other journalist who was killed, Al-Munar journalist Susan Al-Khalil, was killed in today's Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
So two journalists killed in the last 24 hours.
Now Netanyahu doubled down on committing war crimes in Lebanon during a press conference today,
which also seems to confirm that the war criminal is in fact alive.
So take a look at that.
Because a ceasefire with Iran will not include Hezbollah.
We are continuing, hitting Hezbollah.
And today, Hezbollah has suffered from the biggest strike against the location since the
pager incident.
we have hit locations, Hezbollah thought they are safe.
To the citizens of Israel,
we promised you to restore back the security.
There is a good security belt inside the Lebanese territories.
When Westchap first took flight in 1996, the vibes were a bit different.
People thought denim on denim was peak fashion,
inline skates were everywhere, and two out of three women rocked, the Rachel.
While those things stayed in the 90s,
one thing that hasn't is that fuzzy feeling you get.
when WestJet welcomes you on board.
Here's to Westjetting since 96.
Travel back in time with us
and actually travel with us
at westjet.com slash 30 years.
As long as Israel continues
with its expansionist project,
there is no safety for the Israelis.
And the Israelis need to learn that.
They need to learn that.
This quote unquote buffer zone
that Israel is fighting for,
which is basically just more land annexation
and border expansion,
is not going to keep the Israelis safe.
Again, Hezbollah has missiles that can hit central Israel.
So how about you stop trying to steal land?
The whole existence of Hezbollah has to do with resisting Israel's attempt to annex land from Lebanon.
It's that simple.
But the Israelis refuse to, you know, respect borders.
And so there is no safety for the Israelis.
There is no safety for the Israelis.
By the way, has Hamas been defeated?
No, of course not.
Has Hezbollah been defeated?
Israelis thought Hezbollah had been defeated earlier.
And then they effed around and found out.
Okay, so has Iran been defeated?
No, of course not.
The only thing Israel is good at is agitating for more war, okay, while dragging the United States into its ridiculous battles.
And none of this keeps the Israeli people safe.
All it does is reproduce more and more extremism, because how could it
not. How could this not radicalize people? How could it not? You see your entire family wiped out. You see
your family home wiped out. You see the Israelis annexing land from your country. How does it not
radicalize you? And there's a part of me that thinks, Netanyahu knows this. The Israelis know this.
And they do it anyway. They do it on purpose. Because they'll always have that convenient excuse
of fighting terrorists, you know, terrorists that they manufacture through their actions.
And I don't even, I don't consider Hezboa terrorist group. In fact, it's an established political
party in southern Lebanon. You might not like that political party, but it is what it is. And honestly,
at this point, Hezbollah is the only thing stopping Israel from taking over Lebanon. Okay, the Lebanese government
is a joke. One of the MPs in Lebanon's government was like, oh, oh, we're the ones who get to negotiate a ceasefire.
We're the ones who get to decide. Are you upset that Iran wanted the war against Lebanon to stop
in order to agree to a ceasefire? Are you upset about that? And unsurprisingly, even though Trump said,
Oh yeah, yeah, the 10 points that Iran has put out, totally reasonable, a good basis for us to begin negotiations.
All of a sudden and unsurprisingly, very clear that the White House is on Israel's side when it comes to their atrocities against Lebanon.
Take a look.
Danny.
Thanks, Karen.
Would President Trump like to see Lebanon included in this peace deal?
As you know, there's been increased Israeli strikes on Lebanon today with dozens of casualties there.
Sure. Lebanon is not part of the ceasefire. That has been relayed to all parties involved in the ceasefire. As you know,
Prime Minister Netanyahu put out a statement last night in support of the ceasefire in support of the United States' efforts.
And he's also assured the president they'll continue to be a helpful partner throughout the course of the next two weeks.
I would like to exist for maybe a few months on this earth where Israel doesn't humiliate the American people.
Okay, because that's what's happening here.
Our government has been cucked, and it doesn't matter.
This is not a, oh, it's a partisan thing.
No, no, no.
Okay, Biden embarrassed the American people, was constantly humiliated by the Israelis.
And then in comes Trump, Mr. Tough guy, right?
He's like a total keyboard warrior, you know, threatening nukes against Iran.
But gets humiliated by the Israelis on a regular basis, embarrasses the American.
people on a regular basis. Now, the other sticking point when it comes to a lasting and legitimate
ceasefire has to do with control over the Strait of Hormuz, because the 10-point plan that the Iranians
put out made it very clear that Iran will continue controlling the Strait of Hormuz. In fact,
whether Iran includes that in their list or not doesn't even matter. It is impossible right now to
militarily take the Strait of Hormuz or take that control away from the Iranians.
If we had the military capability to do that, we would have done that already.
But we didn't do that because we don't have the capability of doing it.
And so as a result, you know, the Iranians are upset.
You even have, you know, ridiculous democratic lawmakers who were like, oh, I don't know about the ceasefire.
If Iran is going to still have control of the Strait of Hormuz.
By the way, Strait of Hormuz was fully open prior to the war.
Our war aims changed from regime change and liberating the Iranian people to, oh, no, can we get that straight of Hormuz open again?
That's how badly we got spanked by the Iranians.
And I hate to say it, right?
I'm an American.
I don't want to be humiliated.
But the American people need to understand.
We do not have representation in the federal government on our behalf.
And so we will continue getting humiliated as long as we tolerate the types of politicians
that continue this unholy alliance with Israel.
Okay, because at the heart of that humiliation, at the heart of that embarrassment,
is Israel in our alliance with them.
So further jeopardizing it, yes, is the Strait of Hormuz.
So I should note that the GCC countries, many of the Gulf countries, or allies are upset
because they're worried that Iran will continue charging tolls.
And those tolls are sure are pricey.
$2 million to transit oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz.
So you look at Iran and they're like, think about this.
This war, I mean, it's been devastating for the Iranian people.
There's no question.
Okay, more than 2,000 people have been killed so far.
I mean, world heritage sites in Iran have been targeted by the United States and the Israelis.
I mean, the opening salvo, of course, included that double tap strike.
And look, this has been bothering me, so I want to clarify earlier statements.
You don't do a double tap strike on accident.
So if that's going to make Ben Shapiro have a temper tantrum, that's totally fine.
When you do a double tap on an elementary school, was it really an accident?
And if it was an accident, we should really get to the bottom of where you're.
we got that intel from, right, that told the U.S. military that this was actually an Iranian military
site that needed to be struck. But 175 people died in that Manab Elementary School, opening
salvo of this war. We did that. Tomahawk missiles did that. And it's a stain on our nation's
history that we carried out such a horrific atrocity. And on top of that, unfortunately, are governed by a
an administration that refuses to take ownership of it and apologize.
Okay, it's just so depraved, so wrong.
Finally, Jonathan Carl from ABC News, spoke to Trump about the Strait of Hormuz,
and this is the kind of cope Trump is diluting himself with.
This is not true.
There's no way.
But here's what Jonathan Carl says.
This morning, I asked President Trump if he's okay with the Iranians charging a toll for all ships
that go through the Strait of Hormuz.
He told me there may be a joint.
point, US Iran venture to charge tolls.
Quote, we're thinking of doing it as a joint venture.
It's a way of securing it.
Also securing it from lots of other people.
It's a beautiful thing.
The Strait of Hormuz has been the most powerful piece of leverage the Iranians have had.
Why would they enter some sort of economic deal with the United States,
which has been dishonest, which has engaged in bad faith?
Why would they do that?
Why would they give up their leverage by welcoming the United States into the situation,
giving them access to their only real point of leverage?
I just don't buy it.
I don't buy it.
So if things go as planned, which they rarely do, but let's hope,
there are supposed to be negotiations, direct negotiations between the United States and Iran later this week on Friday.
They're supposed to take place in Islamabad.
The involvement of Steve Whitkoff and Jared Kushner, two individuals who sabotaged the peace negotiations to launch this war, is not a good sign.
The only difference this time around is that J.D. Vance will be involved. Hopefully J.D. Vance gets the other two out of the room. I don't even trust J.D. Vance, though. But I think J.D. Vance probably wants an end to the war way more than the likes of
Jared Kushner. Now, throughout this war, I think Steve Whitkoff realized he effed up, which is why he
was desperately trying to message the Iranians, and for the most part, the Iranians ignored his
messages. How could you trust the guy? After Iran, in the last round of negotiations,
agreed to give up their enriched uranium, which, by the way, was disclosed by the mediator from
Oman, you have Steve Whitkoff making his rounds on, you know, those Sunday shows claiming of
A nuclear weapon is right around the corner for Iran.
No, it wasn't.
Why was he lying?
Why didn't he disclose the very real concessions that the Iranians were making?
So his involvement in so-called peace negotiations gives me absolutely no faith.
But we'll see.
We'll see what happens.
Keep an eye on this.
We'll give you updates as they come.
For now, we're going to take another break.
And when we come back, we should talk about some of the reactions that we got from both the left
and the right to a ceasefire between the United States and Iran.

It is actually super challenging to host the show with two-minute breaks when I'm doing the show solo.
But anyway, I'm going to read as many of these comments as I can.
E. Jameson 91 says, I'm not sure I can handle what looks to be months or years of constant anxiety
over whether the Trump regime is going to use a nuclear bomb.
Because I have a feeling, as long as Trump is in office, it's a possibility.
you are not incorrect in having or feeling that anxiety.
Now, there is an effort to invoke the 25th Amendment.
For now, it appears to be very one-sided in Congress.
We're going to get to that story later on in the show.
It's a very important story.
But I don't think Trump is fit to serve.
I just don't.
And something needs to be done because he is deranged and unstable.
Welcome to our new members, Amanda and Damon Green Lee.
Also, we've got Mikhail Kiles, who says 56 months, TYT Strong.
Yes, you have a member streak of 56 months.
We also have some super chats and start with Dav Mill who says,
are I proving that they are in fact coming for the guns of the law?
Oh, Rhode Island, proving that they are in fact coming for the guns of the law abiding
by debating legislation to make possession of assault weapons that had been
grandfathered in legislation passed a year ago if registered. Interesting. All right, let's get back
to the show. Welcome back to the show, everyone, Anna Casparian with you. And I'd like to talk a little
bit about the reactions that we saw from both the left and the right after Trump and the Iranians had
announced that they had agreed to a two-week ceasefire. Now that's ceasefire, of course,
incredibly fragile. And by the end of this broadcast, it's highly likely that the C-Spire won't even
exist. But with that in mind, I do want to get to some of these reactions because, I mean, how could we
not revel in the absolute panic and distress of Mark Levin?
It can't be just peace in our time. We have a 10-point deal and they've agreed to this,
this, this. I just think it's going to be very, very complicated, very, very difficult. And I would say
this to the President of the United States. I personally know that you will do the right thing,
that you're going to try and make sure that it works for now and forever. And so I have complete
faith in this man. Now for Mark Levin, the right thing is to sacrifice blood and treasure
on behalf of Israel and its objectives. And of course, Israel would like to turn Iran into
a failed state. And it would like to expand its borders without the fear that.
that Iran will pose as a challenge to their expansionist policies.
That's what's really going on here.
For people who are sane and who believe in justice and, you know, the right to sovereign countries,
the right thing to do here is to pull out of this war and, more importantly, decouple from Israel,
implement an arms embargo when it comes to Israel.
But that's just a fantasy at this point, especially when it comes to a government that's been captured by the
Now, last night, Mark Levin slammed the U.S.-Iranian ceasefire agreement while simultaneously groveling to Trump.
And we've got a little more of that. So let's take a look.
How do we keep this, this enemy, this poison, this cancer, these Islamist radicals, seventh-century barbarians, how do we keep them in a box?
And that's what we have to figure out. If we're not going to completely take them out because of the huge isolationist
strain in the Democrat party among the woke right. But again, MAGA, the Republicans are behind
the president. But if we can't do it because of the political wins, if we can't do it because
of other reasons, then how are we going to keep them in a box? I'm glad he's there as
President of the United States. There's some very complicated and difficult issues on the table.
And I think if anyone can handle it, he can handle it. But this enemy, make no mistake.
They're the enemy.
They're not going to go away if there's not regime changed.
And we're going to have to figure out, and it's not going to be easy how to keep our,
our, you know, foot on their throat.
Now, the appropriate response to the likes of Mark Levin would be, well, why don't, first of all,
you go fight.
And why doesn't Israel just fight its battles on its own?
Why does the United States need to be involved?
Right?
Because Iran didn't pose a threat to the United States at all.
Their missiles can't reach the United States.
Iran did not have a nuclear arsenal.
And they weren't even planning on building a nuclear arsenal.
They sure are now.
They sure are now.
And in fact, other countries, like Saudi Arabia, for instance, they're like,
maybe we should have considered a nuclear weapon.
So nuclear proliferation is even more likely now as a result of this incredibly short-sighted
and stupid war that the U.S. got fooled into end.
entering on behalf of Israel.
Huge expose reported by the New York Times just yesterday about how there was a situation room meeting on February 11th with Benjamin Netanyahu involved in the room.
Behind him on a giant screen, you have the head of Mossad and Mossad agents, essentially working real hard to convince Trump.
It's going to be easy. It's going to be so easy. You'll be a hero. You'll be a hero. Do it.
We have only lost from this war.
Okay, we've lost the ability to transport oil through the Strait of Hormuz.
Now Iran is charging $2 million tolls for tankers traveling through the Strait of Hormuz,
meaning that they're making money as a result of this war.
The global economy has been devastated.
I mean, here in the United States, we fill it to some extent when it comes to gas prices.
But in other parts of the world, they're literally rationing energy.
They're rationing gas.
So how about the IDF go fight this war?
Well, Mark Levin would never suggest that,
especially when you take a look at the spanking Hezbollah has carried out against the IDF in Lebanon.
Now, Lebanon, of course, has been devastated by the IDF.
They can't stop bombing civilian infrastructure.
They can't stop killing journalists and peacekeepers from UNIFIL.
It's their specialty, of course.
But in regard to the very real damage that Hezbollah has done to the IDF's, you know, military capability,
let's talk about the over 100 Markava tanks that have been destroyed by Hezbollah.
So they needed the United States to do their dirty work for them.
And if Trump were a smart man, he would sever his relationship with the likes of Mark Levin.
Now, there's also Laura Lumer who is, in my opinion, an Israeli spy and should be treated as such.
But here are her thoughts following the announcement of the ceasefire.
What concessions did we get?
What concessions did we get?
Iran practically got everything that they wanted.
Iran got everything that they wanted.
And now they're going to be able to restop other munitions, rebuild, gain more strength.
And of course they're going to have all this oil money.
They're going to be able to continue funding the IRGC, funding all of this Islamic terrorism,
funding their Iranian proxies all throughout the Middle East.
They're going to continue firing rockets into Israel.
And then eventually they're going to develop nuclear weapons because they've already said that they try to keep it a secret,
but they can't really keep it a secret because there's really no way to keep it a secret.
Eventually everybody finds out that Iran is working towards building a nuclear weapon.

Yeah.
No, actually, her analysis there is correct.
Congratulations, Laura.
You left up and found out.
They weren't working on building a nuclear weapon prior to this war.
They will now.
They weren't charging tolls at the Strait of Hormuz
prior to this war.
They are now.
And if the United States had the ability to defeat Iran,
we would have done it, but we don't have the ability
because we entered this war with a formidable military power
with what?
With depleted stockpiles of weapons.
of weapons, including missile interceptors.
So explain to me how it makes sense to continue fighting a war
when everyone knows we have depleted missile interceptors
and don't have the capacity to intercept Iran's missiles.
Iran's missiles, by the way, they're not going to reach the United States.
They're going to reach Israel, though.
And this disgusting woman is like egging on a continuation of this war.
I mean, oh, okay, be careful.
what you wish for. But there was no indication and honestly, there was no avenue. And I am not a
military expert, which is why I rely on actual military experts to understand what's going on.
Okay, Colonel Daniel Davis, Colonel Douglas McGregor, I mean, all of these military experts,
who by the way, have their own programs, do interviews, they could not identify an avenue in
which the U.S. military would be able to take control of the Strait of Hormuz.
Okay, we have 50,000 troops in the Middle East right now. You think 50,000 troops would be enough
to take control of the Strait of Hormuz? Of course not. We had 250,000 soldiers in the Iraq
war. Obviously, Iran is a bigger country, a far more formidable, you know, military is involved when it
comes to Iran. So like, these people have no idea what they're talking about, but they don't care.
Anything for Israel, we're not going to send IDF soldiers to fight this war. No true, no IDF troops on
the ground. But come on, America, sacrifice your service members. They're dispensable.
And if that doesn't infuriate the American people, if that doesn't convince the American people that we must sever our relationship with Israel, I don't know what will. I literally don't know what will. But, you know, polling does indicate that favorability toward Israel has dropped to an all-time low. And we'll cover that a little later on the program today. Now, last night, Senator Lindsey Graham kept insisting that he had always hoped, he had always hoped for peace. Okay.
He had always wanted an end to this war.
He wanted diplomacy, right?
That's what Lindsay Graham is known for.
Obviously, I'm being sarcastic if you haven't picked up on it,
but pay close attention to what he's proposing in this ex post.
He says, like everyone, I hope we can end the reign of terror of the Iranian regime
through diplomacy.
We must remember that the Strait of Hormuz was attacked by Iran after the start of the war,
destroying freedom of navigation.
They control the Strait of Hormuz, whether you like it or not.
home boy. Okay, put it in your pipe and smoke it. It's just the truth. But he says, going forward,
it is imperative Iran is not rewarded for this hostile act against the world. Now, this is the part
that's important. Pay attention. As to an Iranian 10-point proposal to end the war, I look forward
to reviewing it at the appropriate time and its submission to Congress for a vote,
like we did with the Obama JCPOA.
That was the Iran nuclear deal that he's referring to.
So let me get this straight.
The senator didn't care at all when it came to ensuring there is a vote in Congress to start a war.
But he wants to ensure that there is a vote in Congress to end a war, depraved.
He thinks you're stupid.
He is insulting your intelligence.
by posting something like that on X.
You're smarter than that because you watch the show and you know what's actually going on.
But in other words, Graham does not want an end to this war, right?
Look, there was a point where Iran was causing so much damage that it looked like Senator Lindsay Graham was ready to cry uncle.
But at the end of the day, there has never been a war that Lindsay Graham did not love.
Now, we'll note that Article 1, Section 8, Clause 11 of the U.S. Constitution reads as follows,
that the Congress shall have power to declare war.
But unfortunately, after 9-11, Congress decided to chip away at that right, at that power,
and cede that power to the executive branch.
And now we're paying the consequences of that.
So never allow a traumatic event as terrible as it is to convince
you to give your rights away for the American people that has to do with our civil liberties.
For Congress, it has to do with the whole reason of your existence in the first place.
So speaking of people who like to honestly muck things up when there might be an opportunity
for peace, let's get to the Democrats. So last night after a ceasefire had already been
announced between the United States and Iran, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries announced
that now, now is the time for the Democrats to end the war?
Let's take a look.
We need a permanent in to Donald Trump's reckless war of choice,
which is why House Democrats have demanded that Speaker Mike Johnson immediately reconvene the House
back into session so we can move a war powers resolution that will end this conflict permanently.
We will present a war powers resolution as soon as it becomes available to us to do so as a matter of privilege on the House floor.
All we need are a handful of Republicans to join us.
The American people strongly oppose this reckless war of choice and know that we should not be spending billions of dollars to drop bombs in Iran,
while Republicans and Donald Trump are unwilling to spend a dime to actually make life more affordable for the American people.
Yeah, nice try, nice try, because Hakeem Jeffrey's colleague, Congressman Rokana,
had already been pushing for a vote on the War Powers Act.
But it's weird because the corporate Democrats kept pushing it off, pushing it off, pushing it off,
and now suddenly when there is a ceasefire potentially, and I say potentially because it's very
fragile and there's already been violations of it. So I want to be honest with you guys about that.
But as soon as a ceasefire is announced by Trump, now all of a sudden you're like, oh, we should
talk about war powers resolution. Look, I hope they do vote on it. The thing is, I don't trust
Hakeem Jeffries at all, especially when you take a look at how much money he's taken from
the Israel lobby and A PAC in particular. Now, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has stated
that he will force a war powers vote in the Senate.
Now, meanwhile, you have Senator Chris Murphy, who is just, honestly, I don't know what he's doing.
I mean, he is mask off in this moment because apparently he has some blistering critiques of the ceasefire.
God forbid peace breakout.
Let's take a look.
If you accept even part of the Iranian statement, Donald Trump has agreed to give Iran control.
of the Strait of Hormuz.
That is extraordinary.
If you go deeper into the statement from the Iranian National Security Council,
they claim that Trump has also agreed to Iran's right to enrichment,
to suspend all sanctions against Iran,
and to allow Iran to keep their missile program, their drone program,
and their nuclear program.
Now, who knows if any of that is true?
But if at the very least, this agreement gives Iran the right to control the straight, that is
cataclysmic for the world.
So I would like the senator to explain to me, to explain to the American people, because this is
what's important, okay?
Starting this war was a disaster because the strait was open prior to the war beginning.
Now Iran has decided to use its leverage, which is, again, control of the strait in order to
By the way, they're charging tolls for tankers that they allow to transport, you know, product,
including oil through the strait.
They're working with Oman to come out with protocols on transport through the strait of Hormuz.
This wasn't a thing prior to the war popping off.
But the war popped off and we are in a worse position today than we were prior to the war.
That's just the truth of the matter.
Actions have consequences.
and it's about time the U.S. government understand that we can't be going around bombing sovereign nations,
especially on behalf of a foreign country, especially when the country were bombing,
did not pose a security threat to the United States.
They didn't have nuclear weapons.
We obliterated their nuclear sites.
There was no indication based on U.S. intelligence that they were building nuclear weapons.
And when it comes to their ballistic missiles, they do not have the capability to reach.
the United States. But Trump entered the war anyway. Okay. You think Trump doesn't want to take
control of the straight of war moves? Of course he does. Of course he does. But he's been unable to do
so. Our military has been unable to do so. So I want to understand from Senator Murphy,
what is your plan. This is what you're advocating for. You seem to be upset about the ceasefire
because you want to make sure that Iran doesn't have control of the straight of Barbousse.
What is your plan? What is your plan? This morning, he addressed the critics of those posts,
by the way. And I should note, Trump this morning reneged on the 10-point plan suddenly is like,
oh, I don't agree with this. This is unreasonable. Caroline Levin in a press conference says that we
disregarded the 10-point plan. So who knows what's going to happen now. But here's what Chris Murphy
also said. If you've paid any attention to what I've said for weeks, you know I want
the war to end immediately. So of course I'm glad if this ceasefire holds. That's not inconsistent
with pointing out that we are worse off now than before the war started. And that's,
that's if, and that's it bad if Iran controls the strait. I've been 100% clear. There is no
military means to reopen the strait. And the only way forward is for Trump to stop the war.
Okay. I think it's important to point out how ham-handed this entire endeavor has been, okay, agreed,
and how nobody should see Trump's actions as some expert maneuver in warmaking and statecraft.
I assure you, Senator Murphy, people do not see it that way. People are not looking at this war thinking to themselves,
wow, Trump really nailed it other than his cult following, okay, other than the people who haven't fled from supporting
Donald Trump.
But,
okay, so you're happy the war is ending.
You're not happy that Iran has control the Strait of Hormuz.
So are you advocating for diplomacy?
I don't see the word diplomacy anywhere in his post.
So what is your plan?
What are you advocating for?
If the whole point of his media tour and his posts on X is to go after Trump and
it's all just political, okay, great, fine, whatever.
But it seems like you are upset that there's a ceasefire in place.
Another Democratic congressman will highlight is Representative Josh Gotheimer, who's just beyond
reprehensible.
During a fiery interview with the bulwarks, Tim Miller, Gottheimer refused to rule out the
possibility of funding more war with Iran.
Take a look.
So you're a getable vote for authorization military force if they came to you and said,
hey, here's what our plan is.
After April 28th, we have another month.
We need you to go to funding.
Would you be open to voting for it?
I don't do hypotheticals.
I want to know what the hell of their argument is.
I'll meet with them and understand where we are and get that information.
And then I'll make a decision.
Well, not doing hypotheticals is an answer in itself because it's not a no.
You're not a no.
Some people would just be a no right now.
These are insane what we've been doing.
By the way, that is deeply irresponsible to just say no that before getting brief before getting brief.
I would say it's deeply irresponsible to give Donald Trump.
We've threatened to end a civilization today.
One cent for a war.
I would do what I would say is deeply responsible.
If I learned tomorrow they had something that could cause mass destruction to you and to your family, I would have a very different view.
Okay.
All right.
First of all, I have disagreements with Tim Miller.
I like the way he handled that interview.
So shout out to Tim Miller and the way he handled that interview.
Gotheimer is disgusting.
And I want to be very clear that Iran is not a threat to the United States.
him repeating these gross fear-mongering lines about how Iran is such a danger to the United
States and the American people, get effed, seriously, seriously.
Okay, the fact that he would continue funding this is so disgusting.
And he's been supportive of this war, much like Senator Chuck Schumer.
Now, Chuck Schumer says he's going to force a vote on the war powers resolution in the
Senate. We'll see.
But if you pay close attention to the criticism coming from the Democratic Party in regard to this war, it's never about, oh, no, we enter this war. It's always about process. It's always about some peripheral issue, but not really the war itself. And that's a problem. It's important to pay close attention to how they message about this, because they're far more interested in
attacking Trump for political brownie points, they're less interested in having a principled
view on questions of war and peace, especially when it comes to questions of war on behalf of
Israel. We'll end by pointing out that at least one member of Congress is meeting the moment,
and that's Representative Yasmin Ansari, because this is the right message. This is the right
message. As much as I love, dunk it on politicians, this is the right message. I do not appreciate
anyone, Democrat or Republican, taking this moment to make taco jokes to say Trump chickened out.
The president was threatening genocide against 90 million Iranians. I'm grateful there's a ceasefire
and scores of innocent people didn't die tonight. Thank you, Congresswoman, I'm sorry.
Now, does that change the fact that internally, privately?
You know, I mock Trump, sure.
But like the lawmakers that are doing it right now, what are you trying to do?
You're trying to egg on more war?
You're trying to mock Trump so he doubles down on slaughtering people.
Like, what are you doing?
So again, thank you too.
I'm sorry.
That is the right message.
All right.
We've got to take a break.
When we come back, we'll discuss the 25th Amendment,
potentially being invoked against Donald Trump.
Indisputable is still the fastest growing news show in America compared to CNN,
Fox News, and 30 other networks.
We tell the truth on indisputable because the truth is indisputable.
We go places that other news media outlets refuse to go when there were human rights abuses
happening at the Victorville Prison, Guards and members of the community contacted us.
You, through your investigative reporting, unearthed, very troubling allegations about specific forms of abuse and discrimination in the federal prison system.
It really doesn't take much to be a trusted voice.
All it takes is to be fearless, report on matters, being abac.
I called it the bullpen intentionally because it's a place of preparation.
We present individuals who may have an opposing view.
So we debate.
Sometimes we interview individuals because their stories deserve to be heard.
A survivor of significant police misconduct and his attorney.
We covered this story earlier and will remind you of the horror of one man being shot at damn near 100 times by the police.
We take time on this show to showcase the temper tantrums of Cairns in the wild.
We do this not because we want to see people's emotional outburst in public,
but because these incidents are emblematic of a bigger societal issue taking place across the nation.
And it has to be checked.
My friend, my big homie, attorney at law, Benjamin Cross.
I just want to thank you, man.
An educated, articulate brothers like yourself speak truth to power.
It makes a great difference in changing the landscape in America.
Listen, no matter what you do, don't allow the politics of ideology to evaporate the soul that still exists inside of you.
They don't stop, I don't stop.
Racism won't stop.
I won't stop.
Systemic bias won't stop.
I won't stop.
People still need health care, so I won't stop.
People still need criminal justice systems reform, so I won't stop.
You won't stop.
I'm wearing one of our pieces of merchandise.
So the funny thing about the Dragon Squad,
and that's what our viewers call themselves.
That's the name of the group,
but every individual chooses their own name.
You might have Cincinnati Dragon.
You might have Harry Potter Dragon.
We have a Grandma Sunshine Dragon is one of those that I remember.
These are people that like to have an element of themselves,
their lives what's significant to them reflected as a part of the community.
But the concept of the Dragon Squad is just something I threw away as a joke.
I was mocking the proud boys, these right wing groups that come up with a name for themselves that they think is cool, but it's actually really lame.
And I thought, you know, off the top of my head, I can come up with something that's still kind of lame, but much cooler.
And so I threw out Dragon Squad and I just moved on with my life, but everybody liked it.
And so they kept it going. And so we've embraced it. And I think again, it was this was during the period of the pandemic.
I think it was it was sort of nice to have a renewed sense of community, a feeling that you're a part of something.
something when everything seems so chaotic. And as a result of that, we've got independent artists
online streaming, making beautiful digital art of dragons. We've got, you know, we've released a number
of pieces of merchandise that people love sending us photos of them. And then by the way, for me
personally, people send me, like you can probably see in the background like a knitted dragon,
someone sent me. There's a dragon book they sent me. Dragon board games they send me. People have done
like custom ironworks making dragon bottle openers. Like the fans are super invested in
diamond art and things like that. And so it's great that they send this stuff. Sometime we're
going to have to set up a wall of all of it. But yeah, it's definitely brought the community
a lot closer together. The fact that we were no longer in this big studio, I felt a lot more
personally attached to people. It felt very immediate. And I know that I personally needed
the connection. Welcome back to TYT. I'm your husband.
host Anna Kasparian, and I wanted to take some time to really focus on what's been happening
on the ground in Lebanon. So without further ado, let's get into it. If the people of Beirut were
hoping to share in Donald Trump's new golden age for the Middle East, this is what confronted
them today. Trump had threatened Iran with a living hell. Instead, Israel meeting out what it called
Operation Eternal Darkness across Beirut and beyond. The heaviest round of bombing yet,
in more than a month of resumed fighting with Hezbollah, 100 targets struck across Lebanon in just 10 minutes.
Israel has significantly intensified its assault on Lebanon, and they did so immediately after President Donald Trump
and the Iranians announced that there had been an agreement to a two-week ceasefire, which remains incredibly
fragile, if it remains at all. But it's not a good sign for the people of Lebanon, because it appears
that even though the 10-point plan that was put out by the Iranians indicated that all fighting
needs to stop, including the war against Lebanon, Israel decided to go ahead and intensify their
strikes, claiming that they're targeting Hezbollah, but the evidence proves otherwise.
Now, Pakistani Prime Minister Shabaz Sharif announced on Tuesday night that the ceasefire between
Iran, Israel, and the U.S. covers everywhere, including Lebanon and elsewhere effective immediately.
Now, Trita Parsi waited on this and said, it isn't just that, you know, the Iranians are showing solidarity with Lebanon.
They understand that war in the region spreads quickly.
And so there is a real reason, a military reason, you know, an attempt at genuine lasting peace that is encouraging the Iranians to include.
this as part of their 10-point plan. But later, Prime Minister Benjamin and Yahoo of Israel said this.
The ceasefire with Iran will not include Hezbollah. We are continuing, hitting Hezbollah.
And today, Hezbollah has suffered from the biggest strike against the location since the
pager incident. We have hit location.
Hezbollah thought they are safe to the citizens of Israel.
We promised you to restore back the security.
There is a good security belt inside the Lebanese territories.
Considering the fact that the IDF is striking civilian infrastructure,
residential buildings,
considering the fact that over the last 24 hours,
they've slaughtered two additional journalists in Lebanon,
I would venture to say that they are not targeting Hezbollah.
In fact, their opening strike after the ceasefire was allegedly reached was on an ambulance.
So if the Israelis are speaking, just know that they're lying because they tend to do so,
especially when it comes to questions of war and peace.
And shamefully, the U.S. government has decided that they're on Israel's side here.
Barack Ravid, who worked for Israeli intel.
is moonlighting as a journalist for Axio says that the U.S. says Iran ceasefire doesn't apply to
Israeli strikes in Lebanon. So there's a lot of confusion about what's going on. The result from
all of this is more dead civilians, of course, and journalists at the hands of the Israelis.
And to help us get a better understanding of what's actually happening on the ground in Lebanon
is an incredible journalist, someone who have highlighted on our show before. Her name is
Courtney Benno, and she's been doing insanely courageous reporting on the ground and has uncovered
numerous IDF war crimes. Courtney, thank you so much for taking the time to be with us.
Thank you so much for having me.
So I want to kind of start off right off the bat to get a better understanding of what Israel
did in fact target through these strikes. There were over 100 strikes. They intensified these attacks.
I don't trust anything that comes out of Netanyahu's mouth, but you're on the ground. So explain to us
what you've been seeing?
They're targeting civilians.
They're targeting residential areas.
They hit indeed 100 locations in 97 different towns in 10 minutes.
So you can imagine what that was like.
My building was shaking.
It was horrifying.
Yeah, the situation is critical.
And they, like I said, they've been hitting residential areas.
They hit a bridge, the last bridge out of South Lebanon that connects it to the rest of the country.
So this is civilian infrastructure.
This is a war crime.
They just hit this bridge a few hours ago.
But the attacks today, they were the worst that I've seen.
And why do you think Israel decided to intensify these attacks against?
Lebanon. You know, there had been some reports, not in US media, but, you know, if you listen
to some military experts who know how to gather some details about what's actually going on,
Hezbollah had destroyed over a hundred Markava tanks belonging to the IDF. It looked like the
IDF was planning to retreat, like to basically withdraw. And then the ceasefire gets announced,
and we get the exact opposite. So what do you think is going on here?
I think what's going on here is what has been going on here for decades.
It's a land grab.
That's what it is.
That's what it's always been about.
It's Israeli expansionist aspirations.
That's what's happening here.
And they're taking this opportunity to, you know, make an excuse to grab more land.
Do you talk about the death toll from the latest strikes since the same?
Sfire was announced.
Yeah.
So the latest update from the civil defense is 254 people killed and like 1,200 wounded.
But since that was announced, like my, they're finding more and more people under the rubble.
Lots of women, lots of children, entire families have been wiped out today.
I've seen videos of kids screaming from under the rubble.
It's the kind of thing that we were seeing during the genocide in Gaza, which is still ongoing.
Yeah, and in fact, these numbers will rise.
These numbers will rise.
Yeah, in fact, I shared that two journalists had been killed in the last 24 hours.
Another Al Jazeera journalist was also killed in Gaza.
So when you look at the specific people who keep getting killed over and over again, right,
whether we're talking about peacekeepers, rescue workers, journalists, it is just very hard
to believe anything that comes out of Israel in regard to, oh, we're going after Hezbollah.
And I want to talk about Hezbole a little bit because I got a little bit of backlash,
very little, though, which was telling.
when I recently said,
Hezboa is the only thing
fighting back against the Israelis,
preventing the Israelis from these land grabs.
But the American people have been conditioned
to only see Hezbollah as nothing more
than some sort of terrorist group
that's very, very dangerous,
that the Lebanese people loathe.
Now, I know that there are,
there's a lot of diversity
in terms of ideology in Lebanon.
I understand that.
But right now,
as the Lebanese people are taking
these attacks, taking these strikes from Israel and the IDF, are they at all changing their mind
about the impact that Hezbollah can play in this conflict and land grab?
Yeah, that's not something I really, I can really gauge. I don't do interviews with people.
I do report on the grounds, but Hezbollah are the only ones fighting in this war. They are the
only ones keeping the Israelis at bay.
And also remember that as a political party.
Right.
With an temporary wing.
And I think a lot of Americans don't, they can't imagine that a government works in a
different way than their own.
And that Hezbollah is not necessarily like a terrorist organization.
They might be prescribed.
But that's, yeah, I.
This is my experience.
So what I've noticed is just a muted response from the Lebanese government.
In fact, just today, I was reading from a Lebanese MP who seemed to be annoyed that Iran included
a stop in fighting in Lebanon as part of their 10-point ceasefire deal.
And I couldn't understand that because you're watching your own people get slaughtered by the Israelis.
And it seems like the only individuals who are involved in trying to protect Lebanon from Israel happen to be Hezbollah and the Iranians.
Now Hezbollah is Shia. The Iranians are Shia. They share similar ideology.
But talk to me a little bit about the Lebanese government and why there's been this muted response in the face of Israeli aggression.
I really, I really don't know. Like, I can't. After being on the ground for 17 months at the front line,
I cannot fathom what is going through the minds of these government officials.
So I really don't know.
I don't know who the government official is that you're talking about, who said whatever today.
But I mean, there's a lot of ego.
And I can tell you something that I've learned from being in a war is that war doesn't develop character.
It reveals it.
That's definitely true.
That's definitely true.
So let's talk a little bit about what you've experienced on the ground.
So I know that two of your colleagues were killed recently, and we talked about that on the show
and played your video where you addressed it.
And yeah, and it was heartbreaking, Courtney, because I can't imagine what you're experiencing.
I mean, you're seeing all this devastation around you.
Your colleagues are getting killed.
There's a muted response from the Lebanese government.
Israel is now intensifying their attacks.
What else have you noticed on the ground?
Do you fear for your safety?
And have you felt that the Israelis are tracking you to potentially do harm?
I mean, I don't know if they would be tracking me.
These 15 months of the ceasefire that I worked on the border, they followed me with the drones.
I've been shot at me and my cameraman Aliazadeen.
We've been shot at seven times.
We've been chased by a Mercaba tank.
And they threw a grenade of us from an armed drone.
Because part of my project the past 15 months has been documenting the construction and expansion
of the illegal occupation bases on the Lebanese border.
So every week I show up at these bases.
They know my face.
They know who I am because I'm monitoring their bases.
Interesting.
And you do it courageously, knowing what the IDF is capable of.
You know, I want to play one video.
This is the Israeli defense minister Israel Katz.
He weighed in on what's happening right now in Lebanon.
Take a look.
The IDF attacked hundreds of Hezbollah terrorists in a surprise strike at headquarters throughout Lebanon.
This is the largest concentrated blow Hezbollah has suffered since the Pages operation.
So again, just as an outsider looking in, it just feels like Lebanon is getting the Gaza treatment for sure, right?
But is there any indication that there's a genuine military operation carried out by the IDF against Hezbollah here?
No.
This was pure and simple a terrorist attack, just like the Pager attack.
It's a terrorist attack.
It's a war crime.
Final question for you, if you want to leave our audience with one thing, one piece of information, what would it be?
One piece of information.
Or as much as you want.
Trying to think, like, you know, I've said this before, but I think that the American public should know that the violence that the American government exports will come back to you.
it will come back home eventually.
And the same tactics that they're using here in Lebanon and that they use in Gaza,
they will turn on the American people.
They will absolutely use the stuff at home.
Yeah.
Yeah, you're right about that.
Yeah, I mean, look at ICE.
Look at this.
Like, I've had a little bit of time over the last year to check out what ICE is doing.
And this is just insane.
This is insane that this is happening.
And this is, you know, my second point is also realized that what's happening here is not like a religious war or anything.
This is a ruling class problem.
So there's us and there's the ruling class.
And it doesn't matter their gender, their religion, their ideology.
It's about their wealth.
I think that's an important takeaway because when you look at the victims, especially in a place like Lebanon, that, you know, it is diverse.
You know, you have Christians, Muslims, all sorts of people in Lebanon.
No one's been safe from these Israeli strikes.
This isn't a religious war.
As much as, you know, Israel, I mean, the U.S. has even attempted to sell us on why we would support Israel in this at all, at all.
But in the propaganda that we see from Israel, they make it seem as though, you know, they're just these poor little lambs that are constantly targeted by their enemies in these hostile countries, hostile neighboring countries.
Stop expanding your borders.
Hezbole is not going to attack you if you're going to just recognize and respect borders.
But they just don't have the capacity to do that. It's insane. But anyway, all right.
Courtney? Yeah.
Yeah. Thank you for the work you're doing. I really, really appreciate it.
I appreciate you spending the time with me to answer some questions. It's like two in the morning
over there in Lebanon right now.
Yeah. I've been awake for like 24 hours because of the bombing last night and all day today.
And I'm sorry about the lighting. We don't have electricity right now.
No, no. Don't worry about any of that.
I really appreciate it. And I really appreciate it.
I hope that what I said was useful in some way.
I hope it helps.
You're under a lot of pressure right now and a lot of stress.
So I really encourage everyone to go beyond this interview, which you did great.
But where can people find your work so they can follow your on the ground reporting?
On Instagram or on Twitter, Courtney Bono photography.
Thank you so much, Courtney.
And please keep in touch.
If there's anything that you want our audience to know at any point in time, please reach out to me and I'll be happy to share that.
All right, everybody.
Thank you. My pleasure. All right, everybody. Obviously, there's a little bit of a delay and all that, but Courtney's amazing.
Please follow her work. Courtney Beno is on Twitter, where I follow her. I start following her on Instagram as well.
And she is risking her life to get us actual information about what's really happening.
And it's important to know that because she's right. It is our government.
that is bankrolling these atrocities.
And we should be furious about it.
Because that leads to hatred and hostility toward the American people.
We did sign up for this.
We didn't agree to this.
The government is doing it anyway.
And it goes totally against what our values are allegedly supposed to be here in the U.S.
Killing innocent civilians, aiding in abetting a foreign country in killing innocent civilians,
is so disgusting and should be called out.
And any politician who funds this,
any politician who tries to argue that we should continue
sending any weaponry or any money to Israel
needs to be voted out of office.
It's that simple.
All right.
We'll be back in the next segment.
We'll talk a little bit about what Democrats are pursuing
when it comes to invoking the 25th Amendment against Donald Trump.
Let's get to a rapid fire round of super chats.
Let's go to Don Whitehead who says, I would like to live in the United States if America of America again and not the United States of Israel.
Here, here. I'm totally with you on that.
Our Stone says, here's an idea. Stop funding to Israel while negotiations are being conducted.
If you are serious about peace, you must make sure all parties involved cooperate.
It's not a bad point.
Now, I would like an arms embargo period, but if we can use that as leverage to get the Israelis to maybe behave for 10 minutes, that would be fantastic.
Stinky Sticky Steaky Feet says, we're not talking about Epstein anymore, so this war accomplishes that for Trump. Oh, don't worry.
Okay, Epstein's not done. Like, we're not done with Epstein. Yeah, the war is getting a lot more attention, but people still.
Welcome back to the show, everyone. I hope you enjoyed that interview. And please support Courtney's
She's an independent journalist.
If you go to her Twitter account, I know that she has a link where you can contribute to the work that she's doing if you'd like to.
And it's just so important to get accurate information because we're not getting a lot of it in our media right now.
So I want to read a few super chats before we move on.
We've got Donna Monroe who says, if you translated Mark Levin in German and filmed him back, filmed him in black and white, he would be a very convincing Nazi from the 1940s.
I totally agree with you.
In fact, I mean, as we learned from Tucker Carlson's scathing monologue recently,
you know, you have Mark Levin on his show implying that nukes should be used against Iran.
Just anyway, makes me sick.
All right, let's talk about the 25th Amendment.
Only 25th Amendment is asked.
The problem is to get the 25th Amendment, it's harder than impeachment.
You have to get two-thirds of the House and two-thirds of the Senate.
So what do we do?
A whole civilization will die to.
tonight, never to be brought back again.
That is the definition of genocide.
Not a war, not a defensive war, but a literal bombardment like Martians, you know, attack us and we don't have a defense.
That was Alex Jones, floating the notion of invoking the 25th Amendment to oust President Donald Trump from the White House.
Alex Jones, who's not a Democrat, not a lefty, but is clearly very disturbed by some of Trump's
posts on truth social, including the one where he threatened to end Iran's civilization.
Now, that came prior to this fragile two-week ceasefire with Iran, which I don't know
if it's even going to last another minute, to be honest.
All the updates I'm saying give me a sense that this is ceasefire.
is done already. But, but for the purposes of this discussion, let's focus on the 25th Amendment
because he's not the only one in favor of invoking the 25th Amendment. Similar calls started
popping off on Sunday after Trump issued this unhinged Easter morning message on truth
social, saying that Tuesday will be power plant day and bridge day, all wrapped up in one
if Iran, in Iran, there will be nothing like it. Open the effing strong.
great, you crazy bastards.
Okay.
He then later decided to threaten Iran's entire civilization, which implies that he was thinking
about using a nuke.
He says Tuesday will be power plant day.
And I'm sorry, you had others like the Iran embassy speaking out against that, which you
would expect, right?
And of course, he also said a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back
again.
I don't want that to happen, but it probably will.
that luckily he didn't make good on that threat and instead announced that the U.S. and Iran would be entering this two-week ceasefire, incredibly fragile ceasefire, as I've said a million times already.
But this is where things started to get serious in regard to the 25th Amendment. Take a look.
Trump, with this Iran war and the energy crisis and the PR disaster, I mean, the North Korean dictator doesn't talk like this.
he talks like a super villain from a Marvel comic.
Amarge Dela Green joined me this morning.
We talked this morning.
And she put out a post saying,
28th Amendment.
And yeah, we don't have the votes in the Senate and all the rest of it.
And I don't think his cabinet's going to turn on him.
But the point is, is it sends a very strong message of stop it.
All right, y'all got a 25th Amendment, this guy.
This is not acceptable.
This is like, he's got to go, bro.
He's got to go.
I'm getting messages from my Iranian front.
friends who are saying, I'm freaking out, man, is he going to nuke the country?
Impeaching him?
Absolutely, for the war.
For the war.
Because of the conduct?
Well, he lied.
He got us into the war with lies.
And I mean, look at the trouble Bill Clinton got into with something that was totally
unimportant.
And they tried to impeach him, which was nonsense.
And yet Bush got us into this horrible war with lies by lying, by saying they had well,
weapons of mass destruction by saying all sorts of things that turned out not to be true.
I hope you enjoyed that compilation. That very last clip featuring now President Donald Trump
dates back to 2008 when he was advocating for the removal of George W. Bush, after he lied to
the American people about Iraq allegedly having weapons of mass destruction, he lied us into a war,
right? Which is what Trump just did when it comes to Iran, claiming that Iran.
had some sort of nuclear arsenal when no such thing was true.
Anyway, lawmakers tend to agree, by the way.
Not all lawmakers, unfortunately, but a growing list of members of Congress seem to want to invoke
the 25th Amendment. Take a look.
If the United States Congress has any life left in it, every member of Congress and
Senator must be calling for Trump's removal today based on the 25th Amendment.
He's threatening the entire destruction of a civilization.
This is a moral crime. It is a war crime. We need to be demanding that Congress convened today,
and we need to be invoking the 25th Amendment. I'm sure you've seen Donald Trump's unhinged
post from this morning. He is completely unstable and dangerous. Impeachment is the top priority.
No more war criminal in the White House. I think every single person in this country needs to be
Calling the phones of Republican members of Congress and senators relentlessly today, like of all of the issues that have come up over the last year, all have been devastating.
But we are talking about the potential for nuclear war here.
That is the language that Donald Trump is using and we should not pretend that it's not.
Speaker Johnson, you need to call the Congress back into session.
We need to put an end to this nonsense.
This is dangerous.
It's not the American way.
and it has to stop immediately.
So those were all the reactions from, I'm sure you'll notice,
Democratic lawmakers prior to the supposed two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran,
which was announced last night.
However, again, fragile ceasefire.
And on top of that, the so-called ceasefire did very little to settle demands that Trump be ousted.
So as Senator Ed Markey, who was one of the senators who called for,
Trump's removal stated, this is on X, I'm glad there is a reported ceasefire deal with Iran,
but we shouldn't be in this illegal war in the first place. I agree with him on that.
And Donald Trump can't simply threaten war crimes with impunity. Congress needs to get back
in session now to stop this war and remove Donald Trump. I mean, okay, let's pause for a second.
what Ed Markey is saying there is so accurate.
Just because he didn't follow through on carrying out the mass slaughter of 90 million people in Iran
doesn't mean Trump hasn't done significant damage by throwing that threat out in the first place,
which is why I made this point on the show yesterday.
The whole notion of Western civilization has been.
been dismantled. When you have barbaric threats coming out of a country that purports to value
liberal democracy and wants to protect Western civilization, I'm sorry, threatening nuclear war
while, you know, taking the mantle of Western civilization makes me not like Western civilization.
Now, of course, it's this perversion of Western civilization, right?
I mean, I'd like to say it's a perversion, although we're the only country that's used atomic bombs in the past, of course.
But the fact that we are living under a government that proudly threatens civilians, civilian infrastructure, that keeps bankrolling a pariah state, a genocidal state, a terror state like Israel.
No one has done more damage to Western civilization
than the United States government
and its military industrial complex
and its relationship with Israel.
You know, after Hamas carried out October 7th,
what we kept hearing Netanyahu say over and over again was
this is a war between civilization and barbarism.
It's about time that we realize the barbarism
has been coming from us.
We need to sever ties with Israel.
We need to engage in an arms and funding embargo
when it comes to Israel.
And yeah, I think that we need to do
significant damage control.
Because we have destroyed these countries.
How many countries have we destabilized
in the Middle East?
On behalf of Israel, it did nothing for us, of course.
So it needs to stop.
And maybe invoking the 25th Amendment
is the first step. But here's the thing. As Alex Jones stated earlier, he's correct. That's an
incredibly difficult thing to accomplish. And in fact, previous efforts at holding Trump accountable
have only made Trump more popular. So I don't know if invoking the 20 or attempting to invoke
the 25th Amendment is going to work. What I do know is that the Trump administration,
along with our relationship with Israel, is a huge liability for the American people.
This isn't TDS.
I would say the same thing if it were a Democrat in office right now.
And in fact, I turned on the Democratic Party thanks to Biden and his handling of the genocide in Gaza.
His handling of the genocide in Gaza was to fuel it, was to fund it, was to provide weapons for it.
Joe Biden doesn't deserve to live in peace.
Given the war crimes, he aided and abetted.
So I'm very clear about that.
For me, this is not a partisan issue.
This is an issue of what we want to be as a country,
how we want to be represented as a people.
And I don't want to be represented as bloodthirsty war criminals.
The American people are not bloodthirsty war criminals.
Our politicians might be, but we're not.
Now, getting back to this, according to Axios' Andrew Solander,
who has been keeping track of the,
lawmakers who are calling for the 25th Amendment to be invoked.
Well, there are 85, as we speak right now, the number could change.
But as of now, there are 85 House Democrats calling for Trump to either be impeached or removed
by Section 4 of the 25th Amendment.
I'm going to read you some of the more prominent names.
I'm not going to read you all 85.
But despite what Jenks said on the show yesterday, I really want to make sure we clarify
this, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has qualified.
call for the 25th Amendment to be invoked. He didn't know at the time. So that's why that mistake was
made. Representative Nancy Pelosi is involved. So is Rokana, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Talib, Summer Lee,
who I think is really underrated as a lawmaker. I think she's pretty fantastic. You have
Representative Iyana Presley, Pramilla Jayapal, Jasmine Crockett, Jamie Raskin, Robert Garcia,
Eric Swalwell, and Ritchie Torres. And as you can notice, everyone in that list is a
Democrat, which, you know, it makes me disappointed. Republicans can be better than this. I know.
I know for a fact that they see the behavior of Donald Trump and they don't agree with it and they
think that it's counterproductive. Then do your job as a member of Congress. Put your country before
your party and do what's right. But so far, we haven't seen anything from Republican lawmakers in
regard to invoking the 25th Amendment. By the way, invoking the 25th Amendment doesn't mean a Democrat
is suddenly in power. It means that Jady Vance will be president. Okay, so I mean, do with that
information what you will. Now keep in mind that everyone who signed on, again, they're Democrats,
no current Republican lawmakers involved. However, there is a former Republican lawmaker who's been
very loud about this. And that's a former congresswoman, Marjorie Taylor Green, who says that
the 25th Amendment should be invoked. Not a single bomb has dropped on America. We cannot kill an
entire civilization. This is evil and madness. Now, let's get into what is being done because there
are words and then there are actions, right? So Democrats are exploring two possible ways of removing
Trump from office, either through impeachment, which they attempted to do twice in his first term
and failed because, you know, Republicans had control of the Senate. You needed a two-thirds majority
of senators to vote in favor of impeachment and Republicans are terrified. I don't know why. I mean,
Trump's popularity is an all-time low, but they're terrified. Section 4 allows the vice president
and a majority of the cabinet to declare the president unable to discharge his duties and instead
vest those powers and duties in the vice president. That's what would happen under the 25th Amendment,
right? Section 4 of the 25th Amendment.
The section might be invoked in the case that the president is unable or unwilling to declare himself incapacitated.
I mean, have you listened to him? He sounds pretty incapacitated.
Congress can also determine by a two-thirds vote whether to permanently remove the president or to return the president to his duties.
I got to be honest, I see J.D. Vance's political future looking a lot like Kamala Harris's because he's repeating her mistakes.
Kamala Harris refused to show any daylight between herself and Biden when she was running in the election.
And it seems like J.D. Vance is taking that same path, which I'm happy about. I think J.D. Vance is a warmonger just like the rest of them.
I think these efforts to launder his reputation as some peacnick is ridiculous. There's no indication he's a peace nick at all, at all, at all.
Show me a shred of evidence indicating that he was really pushing for and fighting for peace.
Don't believe it.
He has only regurgitated Trump's talking points.
He has only defended what Trump has done in the Middle East.
So if he really cares about his political future and genuinely wants to position himself as an anti-war Republican, now is the time to do it, but he ain't doing it.
Representative Sri Thandar from Michigan and Representative Jasmine Crockett from Texas have each sent letters to Vance and Trump's cabinet.
Crockett writes that it has become indisputably apparent that the American public or to the American public that the president is deranged, likely suffering from dementia, and warns that he has brought the United States to the precipice of committing one of the largest war crimes in modern history.
Crockett went further in condemning Trump.
She condemned Republican leadership for enabling the president's actions, calling their
complicity among America's greatest scandals as the administration continues to push the country
toward forever wars in the Middle East while ravaging the American economy and defiling the
Constitution.
Now, Jasmine Crockett's real good at attacking Trump.
There's no question about it.
I'll give her credit for that, I guess.
We didn't forget your support for Israel.
And Israel is at the heart of the forever wars in the Middle East.
So removing Trump, she's super motivated by that.
But she's not motivated to end the forever wars.
Because she takes the APAC money, she goes on those Israel trips.
And when she was challenged on this, she doubled down. She got real defensive.
So it goes beyond attacking Trump for me, way,
beyond attacking Trump because again, this is not a partisan issue for me. I don't think this is a
partisan issue for any good faith person who's been paying close attention to this issue. If
Jasmine Crockett is being real about how she would like to stop the United States from engaging in
forever wars in the Middle East, we need to sever our relationship with Israel. It's that simple.
Is she willing to do that? We'll wait and see. But so far there's been no indication of that.
John Larson of Connecticut introduced articles of impeachment.
So we'll see how this all plays out.
I'd love to say that I have hope that there will be any real change between now and the next
presidential election.
The only real change we might see is a change in who controls Congress, certainly the House
of Representatives, possibly the Senate.
But for now, I just feel that you need to get Republicans on board in order to make this
happen.
I don't just feel. I know for a fact.
So if this is more than just theater and virtue signaling to Democratic voters,
how about doing some work behind the scenes where you negotiate with Republican lawmakers
and get them to agree to the program here?
Otherwise, this is going nowhere.
And I would like to see something actually happen.
I'd like to see some accountability for once when it comes to what the executive branch is carrying out
and bankrolling and implicating the American people in when it comes to atrocities in the Middle East.
All right, we've got to take a break. We'll be right back. All right, everybody, no happy half hour
tonight. I'll remind everybody during our bonus episode as well, we will be having a bonus episode
for our members. It will be behind a paywall. So t.yt.com slash join to become a member. And thank

All right, we've got Universal who says, hey, Anna, I don't know if you.

targeted by the FBI due to dissidents to Israel. Do you think it's worth covering or interviewing
this is concerning? Yeah, I do think it's worth covering. So pitches at tYT network.com,
pitches at tYT network.com, please send me information and I'll look into it and consider it for
tomorrow show. Look, guys, it's really important that you protect fellow Americans, regardless
of what their political beliefs are, because this kind of behavior, not acceptable. Not acceptable
if it happens to the right or the left, period.
You knew damn well, I was a snake before you took me in. Welcome back to the show, everyone.
Dav Mill says German WAC women auxiliary corps POWs during World War II were told Americans had
gas chambers disguised as showers, wondering if they were projecting.
I didn't know that. That's really interesting.
All right. Well, we got one more story. At least we have enough time to do one more story.
But in our bonus episode, I'm going to talk about Megan Kelly's latest comments in response
to Trump's, you know, broadcasting of war crimes he'd like to commit.
But I also want to talk a little bit about Sam Altman and what's been going down with AI and
how he's pretending like he really cares about American workers and the damage that's going to be done by the proliferation of AI.
Incredible story. I know it's a little different from what we've been talking about today,
but we will cover that in the bonus episode, tyt.com slash join to become a member.
All right, let's talk about the latest polling when it comes to Israel.
It's really important to understand where the hearts and minds of the American people happen to be right now.
If there's one politician who happens to be polling worse than President Donald Trump right now, among the American people, it's the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. And I love to see it. I love to see it. So according to Pew Research, 59% of Americans say that they have little to no confidence in Benjamin Netanyahu or that Benjamin Netanyahu will do the right thing regarding world affairs. The real question is, why is it just 59%?
Why isn't it in the 90s, considering everything that Netanyahu has dragged the United States into?
So the good news is the number has increased from last year by 7%.
Okay, so the percentage of Americans who have a somewhat unfavorable view of Israel also increased by 7% from 53% last year to 60% in the most recent poll.
But when it comes to Americans who have an extremely, a very unfavorable view of Israel,
well, the numbers are staggering. So in 2022, for comparison's sake, the numbers stood at 10%.
Today, that number 28%. It gives me hope. It really does. It gives me hope. Because there was a heavy
price for Israel to pay by carrying out the atrocities they've been carrying out over the last two and a half years.
and they are paying that price.
And I love to see it.
And look, here's the other thing, guys.
I know that things are bleak.
Maybe I'm wrong for having like this tiny, tiny feeling of hope.
But I feel it and I hope you guys can feel it too.
What has given me a little bit of optimism is seeing that Americans, regardless of political ideology,
if they're paying attention and they see what's actually happening in the Middle East,
Oh, they want to end the relationship with Israel.
Young Americans left and right want to sever that relationship.
And that gives me hope because you know what that says about the American people?
That they actually are moral, that they actually do value human lives,
that they do not want to carry out or help a foreign country carry out atrocities anywhere in the world.
And that's a good thing, guys.
That means that like the core of goodness still exists within the American populace.
because we've been conditioned, let's just keep it real.
We've been conditioned by partisan media to think like half the country is evil and irredeemable.
No, that's not true.
We might disagree on policies.
We certainly do on important policies.
There's no question.
But when it comes to questions of good and evil, it gives me hope that Americans see these atrocities.
And regardless of where they land on the political spectrum, they see the evil that's being carried out in the Middle East.
So let's get to some more of the findings of this Pew Research survey.
So over half of Democrats have no confidence in Netanyahu, 47% of whom are under 50, the age of 50.
That's not great.
I wish the number were higher, but favorability toward Israel marginally improves among
Republicans and Republican-leaning independence, even still.
Okay, there has been a decrease in Republican support toward Israel thanks to voters under the age of 50.
So young voters left and right, again, it bears repeating, they're done with Israel.
57% of young Republicans hold a negative opinion of Israel, and that's a 7% increase from previous polls.
Love to see it.
Young Republicans are twice as likely than older Republicans to hold negative views on Netanyahu.
which leads to one of the most interesting findings.
In both political parties,
majorities of adults under the age of 50 now rate Israel and Netanyahu negatively.
So there might be hope for the future of our country after all,
at least as it pertains to foreign policy to some extent.
I mean, we still have to get the defense contractor's death grip out of Congress.
But one of the motivating factors behind these endless wars, these forever wars, again, is our
relationship with Israel.
So if we sever those ties, I think that we will be in a better place.
I don't think Israel is at the heart and center of all of our problems.
Don't mistake me when I talk about this poll and the results.
But when it comes to foreign policy, Israel has not been helpful for the purposes of the American
people and the decisions that are made in, in common.
Congress, well, we shouldn't even say Congress. Congress is useless at this point, irrelevant when it comes to questions of war and peace.
And they tend to just vote in favor of funding things that they shouldn't be funding. But when it comes to the executive branch, yeah, their decisions are heavily influenced by our relationship with Israel.
Another interesting finding of this study is that views of Israel also differ substantially among religious groups that are large enough to analyze.
So Jewish Americans and white evangelical Protestants have mostly positive views of Israel at 64% and 65% respectively.
But when asked about Netanyahu in particular, those numbers change a little bit.
56% of Jewish Americans have little or no confidence in Netanyahu on world affairs.
But to my fellow Jewish Americans, who are my fellow Americans, period, please don't delude yourself into thinking this is simply a Netanyahu problem.
It's not. Pay attention to what the opposition party is saying right now in Israel.
They wanted the war to go on. They didn't want to ceasefire with Iran.
They have no problem whatsoever with the atrocities that are currently being committed in Lebanon.
You know, this is an ideological issue, and it goes far beyond one person in Israel.
So just something to keep in mind as we move forward and make decisions about what we want our country to represent in the future.
All right, bonus episode for our members is next.
We're going to talk about Megan Kelly and more.
TYT.com slash join.
We'll see you there.
