And you're like, no, no, that did not happen.

She outbid me. Yeah, no, but I love these stories in the first hour. Unfortunately, we start
with this one. We shall start an unsurprising, not necessarily twist, but where we are now.
There's an interview with Jimmy Kimmel. Joe Biden, the president of the United States,
went on to talk about the situation in the country and the bipartisan talks that they could have
requiring anything when it comes to policy proposals. I think you could see where this could be going.
or maybe Joe Biden is this strong Democrat that stepping up the junk was just talking about?
Let's find out because when he went on, this is what he talked about when it came to McConnell.
But I've always had a straight relationship with the Republican leader Mitch McConnell.
He's a guy that when he says something, he means it.
Kimmel says, like when he said he can't confirm a Supreme Court justice with a year left and then said the opposite, pretty obvious.
No, Jay, I'm going to interrupt there to say, like, guys, isn't that amazing?
I mean, before we give you the rest of it, Jimmy Kimmel is arguing for the Democratic position,
the Democratic president is arguing for the Republican position.
I mean, they're about to get slaughtered in the elections.
You're on national TV on a popular show.
This is the time to make your case.
And he's like, no, Jimmy, let me tell you how awesome the Republicans are.
Oh, Mitch McConnell is a straight shooter.
Straight shooter, what are you talking about?
Merrick Garland sat there for over a year and Mitch McConnell wouldn't go.
confirm him. And then they confirmed Amy Coney Barrett with two weeks or one week left
before the election. No, Joe Biden is in love with Mitch McConnell and he's in love with
Republicans and he just can't seem to quit them. So given any opportunity, he would rather
make a super positive comment about his beloved, beloved Republicans than to actually
fight them. The Democrats are going to get slaughtered. Well, he's looking to have that unity
ticket when he comes back in, especially for the midterms.
They need the unity because, you know, since he's been talking unity, the Republicans
have said, you know what, it's great.
The president, he's falling through on his promises of bringing the country together.
We're so happy with him.
Let's continue on because Jimmy Kimmel was not through with him.
Kimmel later grew emotional when he asked Biden, shouldn't we demand that every senator
in the United States sit with those families of the Evaldi, Texas shooting victims?
Biden agreed before insisting that gun reform be made a, be made a voting issue as opposed to
something decided by a divisive Congress. Kimmel then interrupted Biden, asking,
can't you issue an executive order? Trump passed, Trump passed those out like Halloween candy.
Biden, though, said he didn't want to, quote, emulate Trump's abuse of the Constitution and
constitutional authority. So here's how he said it. I often get asked, well, the Republicans
don't play at square. Why don't you, why do you play it square? Well, guess what? If we do the
same thing they do, this is the best part. Our democracy will literally be in jeopardy.
It will, it could be in jeopardy if they don't play it straight the way the Donald Trump
and the Republicans never play it straight, or what they say in political circles is win
elections. Yeah, so look, let's break down how ridiculous everything Biden said is. So those
guys cheat all the time, and by the way, the executive orders are a vague middle ground.
Every executive order is not at all cheating or unconstitutional. A lot are when they overstep
to bounds and go, I'm going to kind of say, like my, the thing that I can't stand that both
Republican and Democratic presidents have done is when they sign a bill and they attach a statement
to it saying, yeah, but I'm not really going to do this bill, instead I'm going to do this.
No, that's totally unconstitutional.
Obama did it. Bush loved it, invented it, manufactured it, right?
Trump did it, et cetera.
So that's a category that exists.
But there are perfectly normal executive orders that you have to do and have leeway in doing.
And Biden's like, no, I'm not going to do that either.
I'm just going to let the Republicans do all of it.
The wrong ones, the right ones, the ones in the middle.
They can do anything they want.
They can have all the power that they want.
But when we get into office, I'm not going to do a goddamn thing.
I'm not going to use any of my power, including the legitimate side.
What the hell did we elect you for?
And you know what happened.
Guys, the one true thing that Joe Biden has ever said was to the donors.
Nothing would fundamentally change.
And so that's what he's saying here.
I'm not gonna do a, I promise my donors, the people, the only people I actually care about that I wouldn't do anything.
So here I am, delivering on not doing anything.
So we hear you loud and clear.
And then he again, just stupid, honestly, Joe Biden's got to be one of the dumbest people in America.
The fever is going to break.
Now, the president of the United States does not know a single thing about current day politics in America.
That's amazing.
It's amazing that the donors can just give you billions of dollars and make you president.
You know, they talk about puppets.
You know, there's a lot of anti-Semitic BS conspiracy theories about all the Jews are
two.
No, you idiots, it isn't anything about any particular ethnicity, race, or religion.
No, we have literally legalized bribery.
It doesn't matter what the religion or race is.
They just pay the guy, and it's almost all machines, not people, corporations that are
funneling the money in.
And they go, hey, Joe, you got no thoughts in your head?
Perfect.
You say nothing's going to change?
Perfect.
Let's take this puppet, put him into office.
and then he'll sit there like a jackass and do nothing because he doesn't understand politics.
I tell you all that because he said, no, no, no, Mitch McConnell's a really, really good guy,
as J.R. told you the beginning of that, and then he went on to say, like, but, you know,
because of the Trump thing, he's got a lot of pressure, poor guy, don't, like, oh, don't be so tough on Mitch.
I love Mitch. Trump, what are you talking about Mitch McConnell's been a monster my whole life?
Our whole lives he's been a monster.
And he did the Merrick Garland thing before Trump ever arrived.
under Obama. He's the one that broke the record on filibusters and blocked Obama's entire agenda.
And all of his federal judges, not just the Supreme Court judges, but still nothing could get
Biden to fall out of love with Mitch McConnell. This is not a leader. And it's certainly not a
leader of the Democrats or the left. We're going to get annihilated in 2022. And Joe Biden's
going to celebrate. He's going to be like, yes, my beloved Mitch McConnell has won. He's
He's gonna throw a party.
I don't know if they're gonna have like snacks and, you know, and fireworks at the White
House.
Yes, the Republicans that want they're stronger now.
I wanted them to be stronger and they are.
And and the kicker is, then Biden has a perfect excuse to not do anything for the rest of
his term.
Oh, what can I do?
The Republicans took the House, they're probably stick to Senate.
He's like, there was nothing I can do.
And all the media will be like, bravo, bravo Joe Biden.
Okay, so we're in this.
There's a thing.
I've said this before, too.
Because also last one we just talked about, there's this division within the White House amongst
aides and staff.
The younger folks versus the younger ones, the older ones.
And the older ones are okay and on board with this.
The young ones are like, we're tired of the president not really stepping up,
doing the actionable things, saying things that would actually progress the agenda.
And many of the older ones are like, well, this is great, it's fine, but they're
battling back and forth.
Because there are still, Jake, those Democratic voters who are like, this is great.
We can't go too radical.
We can't be yelling, which again, I'm going to get to what Jimmy Kimmel then said to him about yelling.
We can't yell, we can't get upset because then we'll alienate half of the country, which they say things like that when it's not half of the country.
It's just the other political party that makes it seem that way.
So they're still thinking about those voters and thinking they'll somehow turn on the Democratic Party, but where will they go?
No, no, the older people in the White House, if they have that position are unilaterally unintelligent.
I know we're told by mainstream media that the people at the top are demigods.
Oh my, the way they got there.
The way they got there was bribery.
That's how they got there.
They don't have a thought in their goddamn heads.
So they're saying, oh, you know what, if we, you know, we don't want to alienate the half.
Because first of all, as JR's right, it's about 33 to 40% of the country that's, you know,
really hardcore Republicans, but they show up to vote in greater numbers.
Okay, but let's say it's 40% of the country, okay?
But they're already gone.
Every election and every poll indicates that they're totally, totally on Trump side.
When are you going to get it through your stupid head?
Because you don't understand facts.
No, but I think in the 1970s, we used to be able to get crossover votes.
So I think it's still probably the same way, right?
We're still in the 1970s.
Is that where we are?
But the Republicans back then, I know I used to be a Republican in the 80s and 90s.
They are, those Republicans on a lot of issues, economic issues, were way more left than the Democrats are today.
So what are you talking about?
It's not the same Republicans.
How could you be that dumb that you don't know it's the same Republicans?
And so, no, you're not going to win them over, but this is the most important part, guys.
When you unilaterally disarm and say, because I don't want to offend Republican voters,
I'm never going to make a case against the Republican Party.
The other side has not agreed to that.
They're tearing the Democrats face off every day.
Oh, my God, the baby formula, the border and the pedophile, you're just ripping the Democrats apart.
And the Democratic leader is like,
I think we should be nice to the other side and never make our case.
Well, if you don't make your case, politics is all about marketing.
It sucks, but it's true.
When the voter goes in, he's going to vote for one brand or the other,
the Democrat or the Republic.
And the head of the brand that is the Democratic Party says,
I will help the Republican brand so you can go vote for them.
If that's not stupid, I don't know what is.
I want to let you guys see because we're going to go graphic stuff.
as this interview continue with Jimmy Kimmel, when they go on shows like this, this was a big deal.
Even as for the president, presidents going on late night talk shows are still somehow a big deal.
It's not 1994, but it's still happening.
So they prepped and made sure these things were said in a certain way.
This wasn't off the cuff.
This wasn't winging it.
This isn't just Joe Biden making it happen.
This was the message they wanted to deliver.
So further on, graphic seven.
When Biden said that he's never been so optimistic about the future, Kimmel replied,
why are you so optimistic?
It makes no sense.
Biden deferred to the nation's younger people.
Calling them the best educated, least prejudice, most giving generation in American history.
This generation is going to change everything, is what he added.
We just got to make sure that we don't give up.
Okay, Jay, I got to step in again.
That's the generation that you attack all the time.
The reason why we have hope, any of us in the country, but especially progressives,
is because you're right, the younger generation is way more left wing, way more progressive than the older generations.
But those are the guys that you yell at within the party, that you work against in the party.
You just did it.
Democratic leadership just backed Quayar, who is a corrupt, old conservative Democrat that's pro-guns and against abortion rights.
And against Jessica Cisneros, who's a young progressive in her 20s, and it's a race that was decided by a couple hundred votes.
And Democratic leadership, go with the older generation, the one that's more corrupt.
You know the energy that we have that's positive, I'm going to save the party?
Let's take a crap all over it.
Let's fight it.
Let's punch it in the face.
And then remember when Biden does his appearances, he's like, oh, the millennials think they have it tough.
Give me a break.
Give me a break.
You don't have it tough at all.
It's no big deal, okay?
You spit in our face all the time, and now you tell us you're hopeful because of young progressives in the party?
You certainly don't act like it.
Can anyone in America do journalism?
Tell us what Biden's actual record is.
The mainstream media will never tell you.
They lie on behalf of Joe Biden 24-7.
You won't find a single article in all mainstream media today saying,
wait a minute, why is Biden saying that the young are what we should listen to in the Democratic Party?
When his record indicates that they are the least people he ever, ever listens to,
including what you said earlier.
Even within the White House, there's a younger camp and an older camp.
And the younger camp says, please do more.
Please just do one of the promises you made.
Just one of the promises.
I'm a $15 million a wage or child tax rate or pay family or whatever.
Just voting rights, anything that's got like, I don't know, maybe 90% or higher approval.
Can we do that?
Can we do that?
And old church say, no, don't do it.
Oh, Mitch McConnell will be upset.
Our beloved Mitch McConnell, we'll remember we've got to be act like our beloved Republicans.
And Joe Biden, who did you go with Joe?
Who did you listen to?
You listen to the older ones, didn't you?
And there you are.
We saw it on national TV saying, oh, Mitch McConnell's awesome.
Now, you can't have it both ways.
This is the way that it is going, though, since he's talking about the unity and the happiness.
And also, I'm glad you talked about him getting his face ripped off jank because this guy named Jesse Waters.
And I believe also Tom Cotton was speaking on the same type of approach and the same wording being used.
Again, as we saw, there was the gunmen that decided to show up at Brett Justice Kavanaugh's house to do some damage.
And they've been taking that and running with it.
Watch.
He says he was furious over Roe v. Wade, possibly being overturned.
Remember the leak and was looking for purpose in his life?
So he found that purpose by going out and trying to kill a Supreme Court justice.
You think that idea just popped into his head?
Or did the orders come all the way from the top?
I know that there's an outrage right now, I guess, about protest.
that have been peaceful to date, and we certainly continue to encourage that outside of
judges' homes, and that's the president's position.
The White House encouraged protests outside the home of Supreme Court justices.
Whatever happened to words matter.
So by the left's own standards, they're complicit.
They argued that Trump's speech on January 6th was a criminal act, because it incited a riot
at the Capitol.
So in this case, by their own standards, the white
House and the Democrats in Congress practically endorsed the hit.
Interesting. Biden said, no, don't worry, the fever is going to break and the Republicans
are going to be reasonable. That's why I support my dear friend Mitch McConnell.
And the right wing said, oh, thank you very much, Biden. And they come out right afterwards.
And Jesse Waters is a segment saying, I think maybe the orders to assassinate Kavanaugh came
from Biden, from up top. Did it look like they returned the favor, Joe? Did it?
Does it look like we're even, we're in an even playing field?
No, they're saying that you were trying to help murder a Supreme Court justice
when you did no such thing.
I mean, that would require you getting up out of bed.
So of course you didn't do it, you didn't do anything, right?
So, and they accuse you of like these outrageous, insane arguments and it totally,
hey, dumb ass, it totally works.
You think, oh, nobody's gonna believe that.
No, their entire audience believes it.
Tens of millions of people believe it.
Now, the white replacement theory, it was 58% and then I saw another poll.
It was like in the 70s or something for Republicans.
They all believe it, you dumbass.
But you're, oh, no, no, they're my friends.
I bet they're my friends.
He says it was like half of his face peeled off.
You know who else was doing this, by the way?
It's Tom Cotton.
It could have just be pundits like Jesse Waters.
It's Tom Cotton, too, who called that shooter, potential shooter,
a Democratic hitman.
So that's the term that's going to start flowing.
Listen for that over and over and over again because it's going to stay embedded.
in people's brains. That's what they say about the left and the leader of the left says,
no, I love them and I want them to be stronger and I believe in Mitch McConnell. It's, no,
good night, Irene. There's no way he's turning around. He's too stupid to turn around. He's too
old, too stupid. So we're going to hit that iceberg at a hundred miles an hour. There is one
politician of degrees with you, Jake. I think we can squeeze this in. Let's go for it.
Bernie Sanders, he's warning the Democratic Party to make sure that they do something
as the upcoming midterm elections approach, and we know that there's going to be disaster if they don't.
He's suggesting an honest and a strong approach for them to call out on all these issues, but also,
pointing out the two Democrats supposedly that are stopping Biden's complete agenda by name
and what they're doing. Sounds like something we've been talking about a lot. Let's go to the details
of what Bernie Sanders had to say. He said, you really can't win an election with a bumper sticker
that says, well, we can't do much, but the other side is worse. The Republicans stand an excellent
chance of gaining control of the House and quite possibly the Senate. Again, this is Bernie Sanders.
While the GOP's anti-abortion stance and opposition to more sweeping firearm restrictions may help
Democrats, he warned that if they, quote, think that they're going to march to victory based
on those issues, I think that that is not correct. Also, he said his messaging, Bernie Sanders
was saying what the messaging should be when it comes to this. Sanders wants an even more
sustained focus from Biden advising him to say, I want to raise them minimum wage. I want to deal
with Medicare. I want to deal with housing. I want to deal with climate. I can't do it. I need
more votes. Sanders is also leaning on Biden to do as much as he can through executive action
on those issues. That illegal thing that only Republicans do, that executive action stuff.
So again, this is Bernie Sanders, who is not a 35 year old brand new senator. I think he's
older than Joe Biden. Yeah, a tiny bit. But it doesn't have to be where you're thinking,
oh, we're with the old group, this is the way we talk, this is the way we approach politics.
He's actually taking the pulse of the country and seeing where the supporters and the votes come from.
And he said, how about we do those things that we said we're going to do those folks that voted and got us in?
It's almost too easy.
In fact, it causes more scheming and planning to not do the things that you said you'll do because they seem pretty simple.
People said, we'll support you if you do these things, especially since you said you do those things.
And that guy who did all that other stuff, the last president, let's not go in that direction.
But instead you lean that way policy-wise.
So Jared was being sarcastic about the executive orders because Biden said on Jimmy Kimmel that he thinks it's unconstitutional.
That's such as wrong and unstrategic, trying to be polite, unstrategic thing to say, because then the minute you do any executive orders, they're going to say, hey, remember when he said on Jimmy Kimmel that it was unconstitutional?
Well, it requires nuance, what kind of executive orders, but you just gave the game away right back into their hands.
Because honestly, he just can't, Biden doesn't care, he doesn't do strategies.
So Bernie's right.
He could do, Biden could do a lot through executive action.
And then he could actually make the case for doing these things that Biden said were
a part of his agenda.
But the thing that Bernie will not acknowledge, although he's about to do something
really good, okay, so hold for it.
And it's a good, good first step.
But he can't acknowledge that Biden doesn't mean it.
And the Democratic Party never meant any of these things.
I mean, Bernie mentioned minimum wage.
we force a vote on that and guess what happened when they voted eight Democrats voted with
the Republicans it lost easily 58 42 wasn't even close Biden's top two allies in the Senate
voted against minimum wage you know why they never wanted minimum wage to be higher they were
always lying like you mainstream media but you you can't cause a politician a liar can you
yeah of course you can you're a journalist you're supposed to challenge the powerful no I thought
I was supposed to kiss their ass.
No, they're lying.
Joe Biden sent his top two allies in the Senate to kill a higher minimum wage.
Because he never meant it, he's a liar.
It's super obvious if you actually follow politics and you're not a child like every
mainstream media reporter.
Well, what money, what votes?
Oh, the Delaware senators, I never noticed.
The only reason why you say those eight senators and those other two that crossed over and
voted with Republicans is because Biden's been talking about them ever since.
Biden's never once mentioned it because he's one of the guys who did it.
But let's get to Bernie's good points.
Because this is what should happen, according to Bernie Sanders.
Say to the American people, look, we don't have the votes to do it right now.
We have two corporate Democrats who are not going to be with us.
The leadership has got to go out and say that we don't have the votes to pass anything
significant right now.
Sorry, you got 48 votes and we need more to pass it.
That should be the message of this campaign, but he went further.
Two corporate Democrats, Senator Manchin and Senator Sinema,
sabotaged Build Back Better, and it has been downhill ever since for the Democratic Party.
Now, in response to this, cinema didn't have much to say, but as we know Joe Manchin,
he's quick to jump back when someone criticizes him with facts.
So he said this, I've never berated Senator Sanis for his socialist views.
Yeah, just did.
It is a shame that he refuses to accept the more moderate views I share with my constituents.
His constituents that don't share those moderate views, because when you ask them,
case by case, specifically the things that are included in bill back better, which he was a part of
shutting down, they're like, yes. But he said he agrees with this constituents, which the response
should be, no, you don't, but he can't say that. Let's look at some of the things that Mansion has
killed. Let's look at these quick headlines. Democrats outraged after Manchin opposes Biden's
spending bill. Spending bill. Joe Manchin opposes SEC climate disclosure rule says it targets
fossil fuel companies. Mansion and other senators are opposed to plans to overhaul VA health care.
Manchin to oppose Democratic bill guaranteeing abortion access.
And lastly, Manchin opposes house gun safety bills underscoring Democratic divide over gun control.
Democratic divide over gun control.
So that's the headline.
Democrats aren't really sure where they stand on gun control.
Okay, guys, this is really important.
Bernie did one thing, two things that were terrific there.
The first one was he called them corporate Democrats.
It's almost never said in the press.
It's almost never said by a Democratic politics.
So thank you Bernie. Finally, finally someone called them what they are. And it makes a difference because it makes people go, oh, I mean, if you're a progressive, you watch young Turks, you know they're all corporate Democrats and you know what it means. But remember, the people that watch MSNBC have never heard the term, never heard it in their entire lives. They're like, what do you mean? Those are moderate Democrats, the ones that are the most reasonable. That's what every anchor on MSNBC told me. The most wonderful centrist like Claire McCaskill, who's one of the pundits on MSNBC.
No, they're corporate Democrats, and for a senator with power and that could garner attention
to say it is important.
And then the second thing he did that was super important is he finally named him.
He's like, it's mansion and it's cinema.
Now you think, again, if you're a regular person out there, like, obviously it's mansion
of cinema.
But what you don't understand is that in Washington, naming a senator is a big breach of etiquette.
Ooh, yes, it's obviously mansion and cinema.
And so, and Bernie, as a matter of strategy, putting
So that's progressive strategy about how to fight back against the corporate wing of the party.
But when it comes to the Democratic Party strategy, Bernie's absolutely right.
You got to say, hey, we don't have enough votes.
I mean, I don't even love this strategy because I think it's disingenuous.
I think a lot of the other guys are also corporate Democrats.
But as a matter of telling the people why they should vote, if they think you have enough senators and you're choosing not to do it, well, they'll hate you.
And that's where we are right now.
And they'll have complete apathy.
But if you say to them, look, I don't have enough senators because those two corporate
Democrats keep voting with the Republicans.
So they're not really Democrats.
I need more Democrats, not guys like that.
Then people go, oh, okay, I can see that.
But then you've got to tell them which kind of Democrat to vote for.
And that's why what Bernie's doing is the third rail in Washington.
They're like, are you saying there's a difference between Democrats?
God damn right.
We're saying that.
And so, but it's, we've been saying it for 20 years on here, right?
But it's really the, I know it sounds shocking, but it's true.
It's really the first time that a Democratic senator has ever said that.
And so, and then I'm amused by Mansions counterpunctious.
Because he has to respond.
That's another part about this.

AOC, not just like around the edges.
She hit three excellent points that they never make in Congress when we return.

Let's get it started, you guys.
For all the billions and trillions that this body authorizes in the name of national
security, we can't even keep our kids safe from their schools being turned into a war zone.
Now let's talk about why let's talk about one thing more important to lobbyists and the gun industry than children, then houses of faith, than human beings.
Let's talk about profit.
AOC saying the very obvious thing behind the reason why we haven't got our hands on any gun control and why gun lobbyists continue to buy politicians to do the same thing over and over and over again.
She pointed out, but in AOC fashion, she also had some receipts.
Let's go more.
In 2020, 22.8 million guns were sold reflecting a 64% increase from 2019, correct?
Correct.
In one year.
And across the board, gun manufacturers and ammunition companies began to see record profits.
Is that right?
That's correct.
Now let's put that into context.
In 2020, again, more than 45,000 Americans died by gunfire, reflecting in almost three-fold increase from 2015.
Are those statistics correct?
That's accurate.
So in your view, are you seeing a correlation between gun profits and gun deaths in the United States?
Yes.
This is about blood money.
Just telling the truth, that's all.
Now, by the way, we saw the correlation between those two things.
The gun deaths and how much money they're making of it based on that.
Now, we can get to have a gun lobby and make sure they continue with those profits as these deaths continue to pile up.
A little bit more from AOC.
Between 2019 and 2021, two years, leading gun manufacturers Sturm and Ruger saw gross profits double to almost $280 million.
In fact, during an earnings call, their CEO called the sales boom, quote, historic, ferocious and that the future was bright.
A month after that, an AR-55556 pistol murdered 10 people at a supermarket in Boulder, Colorado.
Those profit margins, $280 million, when go to lobbying.
Is that correct?
Much of that goes to lobbying, correct?
Significant amounts go to lobbying, correct?
And can you remind us what the gun industry is lobbying against when it deploys these
lobbying resources?
They are lobbying against every law that would regulate firearms, period.
Every law that would regulate firearms, period, lobbying, in case people don't know what lobbying,
it's when they spend their money to make sure they influence politicians to do what they tell
them to do.
And actually, in some cases, writing exactly the legislation or lack thereof, maybe the talking
points and the excuses to not do anything in this case, that's what lobbying does.
And they commit hundreds of millions of dollars to this effort.
That's how important it is.
People with money, corporations with money, do not waste it.
They use it for a very specific reason, and that's to make more of it.
What we also make is more school shootings.
Just look at this graph here because there's 288 shootings, school shootings in the United States since 2009.
Would you guys look at those other six countries there off to the side and how many they've had?
Canada and France both had two.
Germany had one, Japan, Italy, and the UK, a big zero.
Again, that's all the correlation going on.
One more graph, you guys, because over 70% of mass shootings and developed countries happen in the U.S.
That's what this international analysis shows in case you need to see what 70% looks like versus the rest of these other countries.
There that is. Tell me your thoughts, bro.
Yeah, so AOC made three really important points here that are almost never made in Congress.
So progressives finally fighting back, and I love to see it.
So number one, she talked about profits and lobbying and how they funneled the money back to politicians.
In Congress, that is an unacceptable thing to say because you're accusing your colleagues of corruption.
God damn right you are. Okay, that's finally, finally somebody said,
something that's true. She didn't use the word corruption and she didn't get to specific
colleagues yet. But look, Bernie at the same time mentioned mansion and cinema and called them
corporate Democrats. All of a sudden, progress is fighting back. Oh my God, it's, I know it's not.
If you watch this show, you're thinking, don't, like, that's the beginning. Yes, but well,
take it. I'll take it. Are you kidding me? Like no one's done it before. So for her to point
that out, that is exactly right. And that 288 numbers between 2009 and 2018, right? So it's about
a 10 year period. And you know how we showed you the stat the other day, 44% of Republicans
say there's nothing you could do about mass shootings in a free society. Well, it turns out
there was something that Japan could do, and Italy could do, and UK could do, because in a decade,
they had none, zero. You know what the difference is? They have very strict gun control.
UK and Japan have the strictest gun control, and they have no mass shootings.
Problem solved.
It turns out it's not like, hey, man, I wish Einstein was around for this one.
Oh man, you put up the other graph that we showed you.
I just can't figure out what's going on, man.
I mean, America has the most amount of guns by far, and it has the most amount of mass shootings by far.
Gee, I, man, I wish Sir Isaac Newton was around for an apple to fall in his head to figure this one out.
No, it's the most obvious thing in the world, but yet almost no.
No politician ever says it because it would offend the feelings of their goddamn colleagues.
So thank you, AOC.
Thank you for finally speaking truth.
But she's not done yet.
So I'm gonna go actually to the beginning of her speech because it had two more points that were really important.
Let me show you the first one here.
There's no discussion about gun violence in New York City without discussing the iron pipeline.
That is Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, an honorary mention to Ohio where
70% of likely illegal trafficked guns found in New York City come from.
There's no discussion about gun violence in Chicago without talking about Indiana.
Because the violence and the mothers that we have to comfort are losing children due to the guns
and the carnage unlawlessness unleashed by those states.
Again, guys, if you know any of the facts, you're like, I don't get it.
That's obviously true, and she cited, cited statistics.
There's no question about it.
What's the big, brave thing?
No, she just attack red states.
Never happens in Congress.
Never.
Oh, but those are the real Americans.
We can't criticize the red states.
They're run by Republicans.
We would be yelled at.
Who cares?
It's true.
So finally, someone said the obvious talking point in Congress of,

Ms. Pringle, you are the president of the National Education Association.
You represent teachers.
Between 2009 and 2018, how many school shootings did the United States have?
288.
288.
Now let's look globally.
Our G7 partners, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom combined.
How many did those countries, how many school shootings did those countries have?
Five, 50 times more.
In 10, almost 10 years.
288 versus 5.
This is not normal.
Not only is it not normal, it is internationally embarrassing and delegitimizing to the United States.
So another talking point, never mentioned in Congress, as the idiot Republicans are like,
oh, we just need more doors or less doors, I mean less doors, that'll do it, and less doors
more prayers. Louis Gomer just gave a speech about, I think legislators are not praying enough.
They just prayed more, then the bullets would stop working, they would just freeze in midair like
the matrix people.
He didn't say the matrix part, but I wouldn't be surprised, okay?
Well, the Ottoman Empire that would recostitute itself like an asparagus would stop all
the bullets and we just prayed harder, okay?
And everybody said, oh well, those are beloved Republicans, you can't criticize them.
And I was just like, what are you guys talking about?
Italy stopped all the bullets, so did the UK, so did Japan, how they do it?
They didn't need Neo, okay?
They just needed gun control.
We have more guns and we have more deaths, such an easy point, almost never made in
Congress.
See, that wasn't hard.
The world didn't cave in.
Other progressives do likewise.
Go and explain to the American people what our position is.
And fight back against the Republicans and against corporate Democrats that are in your goddamn way.
So in this issue, it's more Republicans.
But get in the fight.
So thank you, AOC.
That's an excellent start.
And just like World Affairs, and just like with the Joe Manchin, we talked about earlier,
how he gets called up by Bernie Sanders.
They then has to respond.
These folks who like to talk about how Democrats are only being so emotional over these
children that are slaughtered, they'll then have to talk about what someone said is happening
in their state.
And if they don't talk about it, it looks like it's an uncontested battle.
Keep talking about it until someone says, wait a second, I'm the governor of Indiana.
You know what really happens in Indiana?
Now we're talking about what's happening.
And they have to either deny it and lie to your face.
And then we have more proof in their constituents that only listen to them will have to
listen to them talk about the problem. They don't have to right now. Again, J.R. is 100% right.
Attack on your moral high ground. And on this issue, the entire country's on our side.
What are you waiting for? If Biden had 5% of the fight that AOC has in her, we'd be in a thousand
times better shape. Instead, last night, he was on Jimmy Kimmel kissing Mitch McConnell's ass.

Why is there no accountability for Israel or Saudi Arabia for murdering?
journalists.
Yes, there is Abby Martin.
She's speaking to Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
Yes, of the Biden administration.
And the refusal to talk about the issues that go on with these American journalists that are being murdered,
specifically in this case by the Israeli and Saudi governments.
Now, Blinken was appearing on this panel at the summit of the Americans in L.A.
And their discussion went on and he was ready to deny and deflect and reject.
Let's watch the rest of this.
What about Shirin Abu Aklan?
She was murdered by Israeli forces, right?
CNN just agreed to this.
These are your two greatest allies in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia and Israel.
They have murdered American journalists and there have been absolutely no repercussions.
And you're sitting up here talking about the freedom of press and democracy.
The United States is denying sovereignty to tens of millions of people around the world with draconian sanctions for electing leaders that you do not like.
Why is there no accountability for Israel or Saudi Arabia for more?
murdering journalists.
It is one of the most dangerous places in the world
to be a journalist in Palestine.
I deplore the loss of Shereen.
She was a remarkable journalist,
an American citizen, as you all know.
And there are too.
We're determined to follow the facts and get to the truth.
Of what happened.
Secretary Blinken, with respect, with all due respect.
No, I'm sorry with respect.
They've not yet been established.
Yes, it has.
No, they've not.
If we're looking for an independent, credible investigation,
When that investigation happens, we will follow the facts for every day leave.
It's as straightforward as that.
That is not yet happen, but it's something that we very much want to see yet.
There's the beginning of that pushback there from Blinken.
When we get to those facts, whenever that investigation happens by someone I don't know who that's going to be.
But when that happens, we're going to get those facts and we're going to give it to you when you stop asking us those questions.
So we had that claim that nothing has been happening or nothing has been really figured out yet.
But there is some evidence that points the responsibility to the IDF, and they also went to deny that.
Israel has changed its story several times, though, as they discussed this, ranging from denying the allegations to blaming the killing on stray fire from Palestinian armed fighters to admitting that an Israeli soldier could have mistakenly kind of shot Abu Aklet.
So it looks like Supreme was actually intentionally targeted by Israeli forces, though.
And CNN did a bit of a breakdown to show that. Let's watch that.
The gunfire you hear at the beginning of this clip is key.
eyewitness testimony and audio analysis show these are the shots that kill Abu Ackley.
There is a crack and then a pop.
The time between these two sounds reveals how far away the gunmen are.
This indicates a distance of between 177 and 197 meters, according to forensic audio analyst Rob Mayer.
The tree next to where Abu Ackley was shot is also a crucial piece of evidence.
The military analyst Chris Cobb Smith told CNN that the nature of the strike marks prove this wasn't a random shot. She was targeted. He said there was no chance that random firing would result in the three or four shots hitting in such a tight group from a distance of 200 metres. Multiple eyewitnesses said a sniper fired at them from a window in an IDF truck.
The IDF's own body cam footage shared of the operation that morning shows the same military vehicles lined up on the street facing down towards Abalako.
So there is that senior report that Abby Martin was mentioning.
So we'll see more details of what was in that.
So the Senate investigation that Abby Martin referenced concluded that quote,
there was no active combat nor any Palestinian militants near Abu Aklaa in the moments
leading up to her death and that the evidence suggests that Abu Akle was shot dead in a targeted
attack by Israeli forces.
CNN is not the only ones that are talking about this because the Associated Press also
carried out a reconstruction of her killing and reported that.
their findings led to support to assertions from both Palestinian authorities and Abu Ackles' colleagues that the bullet that cut her down came from an Israeli gun.
Now, it was a bit of a bipartisan pushback also on Blankin because Mitt Romney and Senator John Alsoff, both were a letter looking for some justice in this.
But also last week, another Palestinian journalist was also killed.
In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces shot and killed 31-year-old Palestinian journalist Gufran Harun Warsneh.
on the first, as she commuted to her new job at a radio station in the city of Hebron.
The Israeli army claims that she was holding a knife, but eyewitnesses disputed the army's
description of what happened.
The Palestinian foreign ministry accused Israel of carrying out an execution.
And also, the Palestinian Red Crescent said that Israeli forces blocked the medics from
taking her to safety and potential treatment for 20 minutes to trying to transfer to that hospital.
Wow, to be fair, that sounds like American cops.
Okay, so, and that's part of the issue here.
So Blinken is being disingenuous.
So we're looking for a neutral party to do this investigation.
Well, the Palestinian Authority, where she was killed, they have authority over that area,
did the investigation.
But Blinken is basically saying, come on, they're Palestinians.
We're not going to trust them.
Well, then why would you trust Israel?
Good question.
Then we say, okay, an independent body, no problem.
This is exactly what the ICC is for, the International Criminal Court.
Because if an Israeli sniper killed a journalist doing nothing, that's a war crime.
Okay, there's no militants in the area, as CNN and AP explained.
So let's go to the ICC.
Israel says, no, I didn't sign up for the international criminal court.
Why?
Because they violate international law all the time.
So they're like, that court has no jurisdiction over us.
Plus, they say the Palestinians can't take us to that court because they don't have a state.
Ha, ha, ha, ha.
So you're denying them that state.
So when you, they bring you to international criminal courts for killing journalists in that area, you go, well, ironically, you'll have no justice because we wouldn't let you be a state.
How is that for insult to injury?
So Blinken knows Israel won't go to the international criminal court.
They won't do an independent investigation.
What Israel says to the Palestinians is, why don't you turn over all the evidence to us and we'll do an investigation?
Oh, right, right.
And other times that evidence has been turned into Israel, sometimes it magically goes missing.
And so the Palestinians are like, you want us to give you the bullet that killed her and
just trust you on it.
Absurd, absurd.
And Blinken knows all this.
He's covering for Israel because he does, there's going to be no accountability.
And Blinken himself is going to make sure that there's no accountability.
Same thing for Saudi Arabia.
So they killed Khashoggi, Biden talked to big game.
when he was running for office.
And then now he's turned around and he's doing deals with the Saudis.
There's no accountability at all.
As long as you know, you've got the right lobbyist in America,
as long as you give us cheap oil, whatever it is that the powerful in this country want,
you can kill any journalist you like.
And Anthony Blinken will cover up your crimes for you.
Those are facts.
Let's go to Graphics 6 because it leads to that point from Blankin.
The Secretary of State Anthony J. Blinken said during an online event last week
that Mr. Biden came into office intending to ensure that the U.S.
The U.S. relationship with Saudi Arabia was serving our own interest, as well as our values as we move forward, but also preserving it, Mr. Blinken added, because it also helps us accomplish many important things.
That's a long way of saying what Donald Trump was saying when they didn't want to do anything about this, again, about Jamal Khashoggi.
Not wanting to anything about that because you know how much money they pay us?
Do you know how much money they pay us?
The difference is Donald Trump was doing it in a rough around the edges way because he has no idea what he's doing except for making that money.
but it's the same similar.
I'll give them similar policy when it comes to that.
Now let's look at these donor lists because this is where it all comes in.
We talked before about donors and lobbying money and why it changes things when it comes to the gun control issue in America.
It also does it when it comes to companies like Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Northrop, and General Dynamics to the tune of those $6 million, over $6 million, nearly $6 million from Raytheon, just over $5 million from Northrop.
also genital dynamics around 3.3 million. That's what it is. And why are those defense
contractor numbers relevant to this question? Because those are the guys selling weapons to
the Saudis. So as long as they're making billions from the Saudis, they're going to bring
back 6 million, 3 million, 4 million to American politicians. And the American politicians
are going to be like, oh, you murdered a journalist. On the other hand, I got a nice little bribe
from North of Grumman and Lockheed Martin because they'd like to sell weapons to Saudi Arabia.
and so we're not going to block those sales on Israel.
Israel's got a better deal.
We buy the weapons and we just hand it to Israel.
Okay, so they get billions.
But where does it come from?
It comes from the same defense contractors.
So defense contractors get super rich off of all this.
And they tell their little boys like Biden and Blinking, hey, go cover for us, okay?
Just tell them who cares?
And guys, the second journalist killed that was just killed the Palestinian?
that's Israel saying, oh, you didn't like the first journalist we executed?
Why don't we do it again?
Because you're never going to hold us accountable.
We own the relationship with the defense contractors and hence all the politicians in America.
And same thing with the Saudis.
They laugh at us.
Come on, blinking boy.
Go make it tell lies for us.
Go do it.
And then that's called diplomacy.
Okay.
No, it's called a robbery.
I like the Subway Sandwich analogy.
I'm sorry, I use it all the time.
If you work in Subway Sandwiches, you get paid $9 an hour,
and then the boss comes in and it says, you know what,
I'll give you $50 an hour.
If every time someone walks in and says,
I'd like a Cold Cup trio, you go, we don't have any more baloney.
It's right there in front of us.
But say it's not there or it's bad or something's wrong with it.
I'll pay you much more money every time.
Why would you not do that?
He's the one who's paying you.
In this case, these companies pay politicians not to represent the people,
but to do what they tell them to do.
And more money every time it works, but only if that owner gets a huge kickback of, say,
$250 every hour that you turn down people that want that cold cut trio.
You'll do it.
So why not the tune of these hundreds of millions of dollars that they're giving?
Because $118 million, over $118 million was used on lobbying just last year alone from these defense contractors.
So it's a super last thing.
You can see from this story.
The religion doesn't matter.
The race doesn't matter.
The color doesn't matter.
Okay.
So it's Muslims in Saudi Arabia.
happens to be Jewish folks in Israel.
And most of the defense contractors are Christian, okay?
But there's one color that matters.
Green, you pay us and we lie for you.
So that's what you just saw Blinken do.
They're never going to do a fair and independent investigation.
There's going to be no consequences.
Israel knows it.
That's why they just murder another journalist.
And they'll murder another one.
Why are they murdering journalists to intimidate the rest of the journalists?
Don't you dare cover our other war crimes.
Otherwise, we'll execute you with snipers.
And then we'll get the American government to rub it in your face and go,
oh yeah, maybe we'll do it.
An independent investigation later.
Defense contractors, where's the money?
Where's the money?
Okay.
So that's what you just saw.
Great job by Abby Martin asking that question.
And think about how brave it is for Abby Martin to ask those questions as forcefully as she is.
And think about how the rest of the press corps never asked the most obvious questions.
Like that was like, whoa, a moment of courage where someone asked a logical question.
I shouldn't, shouldn't that kind of be the norm rather than a wild exception that leads to a major news story?
Newsflash, reporter asked question.
