Starting point is 00:01:03 So lots to get to today, including the riots that are happening in France. The endless war that we are promised now on tape. We'll show you the tape of the people in charge telling you the wars are never going to end. And then we're going to talk to a U.S. journalist who was detained by the IDF and now has information on whether our government cared or didn't care. And so all that is super interesting. But I want to start with something completely different. So a group of Palestinian children in Gaza did a video that made me cry. And I couldn't quite believe it.
Starting point is 00:01:46 And it's amazing. So I wanted to share it with you guys. Where is your decency? Do you think children? We hope our message. Tell you, Anna, Gaza is really flatted by the ground. But we are here in equal to the survivors. Want to tell you, we still have hope to make our sound reaches you and the whole world.
Starting point is 00:02:15 To retain life and hope together. That's amazing. Look, it's about Anna, but I will tell you, I would say that it makes both my career and Anna's career worth having. If we were for a nanosecond, a voice for the voiceless, then everything else is worth it. And so seeing those kids in the rubble, just reaching out for one person, in this case, Anna, and thanking them for their help. But the most important part of the message is they're still there, guys, and they still have hope. And they're still waiting for the whole world to show up to help them and save them. It hasn't happened yet, but look, I'm super proud of Anna and I'm super proud of the fight
Starting point is 00:03:17 she's got on this issue. And for those who are angry at her for representing those kids and anybody in Gaza, I don't care about them at all. Yeah, I'm here for the fight. So I'm happy to, it's the honor of a lifetime to fight back on their behalf. I have mixed feelings and I just, sorry, I like really don't want to cry on air, but on one hand I feel so unbelievably honored by what they did, you know, but at the same time, I'm so sick of feeling powerless to change it.
Starting point is 00:03:57 I'm so sick of it and I'm sick of like, I feel honored, but then you see the kids surrounded by complete and utter destruction that my tax dollars paid for. And it makes me so angry. Yeah. So I think the people in power here in America are underestimating the rage that's building. And it isn't just because we're tired of seeing kids killed in front of our eyes and then told that if we don't pay for it somehow we're bigoted. No, it's the exact opposite.
Starting point is 00:04:29 If you don't mind those kids that are currently in danger, the ones that have already been killed, the ones that have lost limbs, there is definitely a bigot in the equation. And if you say that's no big deal, you're a bit of a monster. So yeah, and unfortunately so much in the, so many people in the West have been told to be quiet and that the supporters of Israel will be greatly offended if you mention their crimes. No, we're not going to listen to any of that. We don't care if the people committing a genocide are offended. We care about protecting innocent lives.
Starting point is 00:05:09 And it's past time for the whole world to care. And to Anna's point, what are we doing here, guys? Three quarters of America doesn't want the war with Iran. Two thirds of America don't want to support Israel anymore and don't want to send any more money or bombs to hurt those poor kids. But the great majority of our country is constantly, ignored. Why are they ignored in a so called democracy? And a very important question that makes the elites very uncomfortable here in America, which is, so who's actually in control?
Starting point is 00:05:45 If three quarters of our country is irrelevant, if our voters don't want to do this, and they're actually in actual psychological and emotional pain to see their money being taken from them, And being given to a country to hurt these kids. And yet our leaders and our media says, we don't care about you. We don't care about the Palestinian people. We don't care about the kids in Gaza or the West Bank or Lebanon or Iran. We don't care about any of you. But most especially, we don't care about the American people.
Starting point is 00:06:21 We don't care what you think. We don't care if you don't want war. You are always going to get war. And we are always going to finance the abuse and the slaughter of the Palestinians. There's something deeply wrong in our governments. We are not in charge. These are not democracies. If they were, they would listen to the overwhelming majority of their people.
Starting point is 00:06:42 And last thing I'll leave you with is hope, because yeah, it's super hard under these circumstances to have any hope at all. But there is going to be a presidential election in this country. And I don't know how long they can contain two thirds to three quarters and growing every single day of discontent. We can't take this anymore. Deep immorality in our name, and I want those kids to know the American people are actually goodhearted and on your side now. That's a giant change from the last couple of years. We are now totally on your side. Our job is to get past our corrupt politicians and our corrupt media to take our government back to free America.
Starting point is 00:07:25 So we no longer do this type of immorality. and we come to actually help you rather than hurt you. So I wanna yeah. I just wanna say one final thing about this. One of the little girls in the, in the video, I found her and followed her on Instagram. And she like got excited that I followed her and immediately wrote to me.
Starting point is 00:07:49 And she asked me a question that like, she asked Anna, I wanna ask you, How can I grow up to be as brave and strong as you? Are you kidding me? I know. No. And she talked about how terrified she is when the bombardments start, when they start bombing. And she wants to, and I just wrote back and I just said, you're far more brave than I am.
Starting point is 00:08:15 You're a survivor who manages to smile and find joy in life throughout the horror surrounding you. You inspire me to be brave. Yeah, it's not even close. So we really appreciate all the kind words. But no, no, no, no, the people in Gaza are a thousand times more brave than any of us here in the West. And to me, the best people on earth are the doctors who go to Gaza to help those kids. Now I've seen a lot of their presentations, guys. If you haven't seen kids' limbs blown off, it's really hard to sit through.
Starting point is 00:08:48 And after you see slide after slide, remember thousands, tens of thousands of kids were killed, but even more were injured. And no, that's real courage. And I'll always have respect for the Palestinian people that despite all this, they never kneeled and they never bowed and they never lost their core and their courage. And I love them for it. It's the rest of the world that should live in shame for not helping those poor kids. As Israel continues to bomb them to this day.
Starting point is 00:09:23 I want to go to the very last graphic here because it's a picture of Leon and she's the little girl who I was messaging with. She's holding a photo of the portrait they painted of me. And Echo of the Survivors is the name of the organization that seeks to basically share the stories of these Palestinian children and what they've gone through. EchoServe.org is the URL to their organization if you want to learn more and if you want to support them. They want to provide safe spaces for trauma therapy and emotional release for children in shelter camps. They apparently train and empower youth ambassadors in media presence and verified field documentation. And they've launched an interactive bilingual documentary repository of children's firsthand testimonies, which is obviously really important given the genocide denials that we're currently dealing with here.
Starting point is 00:10:18 So I just want to thank these kids. They inspire me every single day. And I genuinely am honored. I know I'm crying, but it's because of the, again, like the powerlessness I feel to be able to change the situation on the ground there. And the disgust I feel over my own government. So anyway. All right.
Starting point is 00:10:39 We'll never be able to match their courage. So let's let's go to our next story. The demand picture is obviously big and it's insatiable. And yet defense stocks are actually lower since the start of Epic Fury. Has that surprised you? What do you think investors need to know or understand about the landscape right now? I think when investors need to know and understand that this demand is not fleeting, it's permanent. So that's the CEO of Lockheed Martin telling you that war is permanent.
Starting point is 00:11:11 The demand for his weaponry is permanent. And the defense contractors are the ones that are the, that are the 800 pound gorilla we're ignoring in the room. They're the ones that are bribing a lot of our politicians, a lot of our media, and a lot of our former generals. We have a lot of facts here to show you about how much money they're making off of these endless wars and how they're one of the biggest problems in the country as to why we have these wars nonstop.
Starting point is 00:11:41 Anna, tell us the whole story. Well, as you mentioned, Jenks, CNBC was speaking to the CEO of Lockheed Martin. His name is Tim Takeslitt. And as you just heard him say, there's always going to be a desire for more and more weaponry from these defense contractors, because as you guys might have noticed at this point, we are in perpetual war. Many Americans don't even know, we have been at war with Somalia for literally decades. Our media doesn't cover it, but that's just one example of the constant perpetual warfare
Starting point is 00:12:14 that the United States is engaged in. Now we all know that the US military has depleted its missile interceptors, its Patriot missiles, and its long range missiles. So the Trump administration has been awarding tens of billions of dollars in government contracts in recent months to essentially get these defense contractors to ramp up production and accelerate the production of certain military weaponry, including AMRAM missiles. So just to give you a sense of how much money we're talking about here, on October 3rd, Reuters reported that the Pentagon awarded RTX, formerly known as Raytheon, a provisional
Starting point is 00:12:53 multi-year contract worth $20.7 billion. The deal would be part of the Pentagon's Arsenal of Freedom Initiative. RTX said earlier this year that it would set an annual production goal of at least 1,900 Amram missiles. And if you're unfamiliar with those missiles, makes all the sense in the world. Why would you be aware of what they are or what they But the AMRAM is used to air or used in air to air jet fighter combat as well as the National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System, which is used to defend the Washington area, sure, and is used by more than a dozen other countries including Ukraine, Oman, and Qatar. And I should note that the US has made all sorts of weapons deals with various foreign countries,
Starting point is 00:13:40 but has been unable to deliver on the weaponry because we've been expending those weapons in the wars that we ourselves have decided to get wrapped up in. But there's more. So the Amram deal is the latest in a series of these large munitions contracts that the Pentagon has pursued this year to basically incentivize these contractors to ramp up their output, develop these weapons or manufacture these weapons faster. The award follows a similar pattern to a 58.6 billion dollar Patriot Interceptor Deal awarded to Lockheed Martin in July, a seven year procurement plan running
Starting point is 00:14:21 through fiscal year 20, 2032. But it looks like these defense contractors really don't intend to do a damn thing until Congress ensures that they will be able to secure the funding necessary to ramp up the production of these weapons. So Lockheed Martin CEO really wasted no time in, you know, putting his hat in hand and finding a fancy way of saying Congress needs to give us more money. Take a look. The demand picture is obviously big and it's insatiable. And yet defense stocks are actually lower since the start of Epic Fury. Has that surprised you? What do you think investors need
Starting point is 00:14:58 to know or understand about the landscape right now? I think when investors need to know and understand that this demand is not fleeting, it's permanent. And there is a limited defense budget. At some level, it will be limited. It will not double or true. The only way to solve that equation is to make the Pentagon relationship with industry more like a commercial business relationship and less like a cost-based contract relationship. Look, I work out, I try to eat right, I take my supplements, I do all the things that Helcomaniacs do. Everybody remember that? But here's a question that drives me nuts. Is any of it actually working? That's a fair question when it comes to me. But that's why I'm excited
Starting point is 00:15:37 about the true age test from true diagnostic. It uses epigenetics, which sounds very complicated in fancy, but it's just really tiny chemical tags on your DNA that change with your sleep, stress, diet, and exercise. True Age reads those tags to estimate how your body's aging. And this is some gimmick. Its methods are published in peer-reviewed journals developed with researchers at Harvard, Yale, and Duke. You get your biological age, how fast you're aging, and how areas like your heart, brain,
Starting point is 00:16:05 and liver may be aging as well. Plus, you get personalized recommendations on what to actually change. That's very useful. It's an at-home finger prick. You mail it back in the prepaid kit, and your report is online in about three to four weeks. Super simple. So if you're serious about longevity or even just curious
Starting point is 00:16:21 whether your body is aging faster or slower than your actual age, this is one of the easiest ways to find out. Right now, go to true diagnostic.com and use code t-yct for 20% off your entire order. That's true diagnostic.com code t-y-y-t for 20% off. So how does that make any sense? Don't make it a cost-based contract relationship? Yeah. So normally what happens is they'll say, okay, this is what something costs and we'll add a percentage to it, 25% as a margin for us, et cetera. But he's saying, I think he's saying let's make it more competitive so that it's more like a market negotiation while you're offering that for this much and the other guy's offering it for that much. and there's different specifications.
Starting point is 00:17:11 And I'm gonna pick among these folks. Well, first of all, there's a little bit of truth to that because the Pentagon does a lot of no bid contracts. That's right. They start wars and then they go, there's no more free market. We've ended capitalism in this regard. And we're just going to go, okay, you're connected to the Trump administration and you are and you are. So you're getting tons of deals. Whether it actually helps us or not, it doesn't really matter.
Starting point is 00:17:34 But to be fair, the Pentagon has been buying weapons systems that don't help us for decades. us for decades. They sure have, yeah. And if you're, and at the end of all that guys, what happened? We're totally unprepared for Iran's simple drones. And by the way, to be fair, Russia was unprepared for Ukraine's drones, but that was four and a half years ago, right? So we had four years to prepare before we started our incredibly dumb war, and yet we were completely
Starting point is 00:18:01 unprepared. What happened to all the geniuses at the Pentagon that were prepared for us? And the defense contractors, I thought you were so smart and you built all these amazing, technology. No, guys, the problem with drones and defensive drone against drones is that they're inexpensive. And not only that, Jank, there's more to it than that. Our Patriot missile interceptors in some cases are not able to intercept the drones. Some of the drones are purposefully very slow, and as a result, the Patriot interceptors are unable to intercept them. Yes, but they didn't even try earlier to come up with a system to be able to defend against,
Starting point is 00:18:38 drones in a panic word working on it now, even though we already saw Russia go through it years ago, right? So why though? Because super expensive aircraft carriers and fighter jets pay the bills. Drones don't pay the bills. So they want to be able to charge you as much as humanly possible to build the biggest, most useless things that by the way, now because of drones are sitting ducks. Including military bases, yeah, you're absolutely right about that.
Starting point is 00:19:08 far more expensive to build and maintain the literally hundreds of military bases we have all across the globe than it is to focus on, you know, enhanced missile systems or, you know, drones, which would be far more advanced given the current, you know, set up of how militaries are fighting these wars right now. But I don't know, I just, when you look at the Pentagon and you realize that they haven't been able to pass a single audit, a lot of money is getting misused. A lot of money I think is getting stolen. Okay, and at the same time, it doesn't matter what's more effective. What matters is what these private defense contractors can do to maximize their profits.
Starting point is 00:19:50 That's the problem with our current setup right now. We're supposed to have a military that is funded by the taxpayer, by the government. We're not supposed to have a privatized military. But we do have this weird Frankenstein military situation where part of it kind of is privatized. Oh, it's definitely privatized, right? It's a huge part of it. So you introduce a profit motive and what ends up happening? You just incentivize profits.
Starting point is 00:20:12 You don't really give a damn about, hey, does this make sense? Should we be building the drones instead of focusing on maintaining these military bases? So the problem there guys is that look, it's one thing now the private guys build some of the material, which didn't used to happen necessarily in the past. It did and it didn't. It's a hybrid, it's mixed. But the core of the problem is the people making the disqual, the disqual of the problem is the people making the for the government on what to buy and how much to spend.
Starting point is 00:20:41 So those guys are now just in our, you know, last 50 years era of corruption, the people making the decision on what to spend are financed by the defense contractors. So they then, so they'll get millions of dollars on the defense contractors and then turn around and give them billions in return, hundreds of billions, collectively trillions, but that's easy for the politicians because it's not their money, it's our money, right? So they get to direct campaign contributions and then they use our money to pay off the defense contractors. By the way, the generals are an enormous problem because most of the generals that retire work for the defense contractors or Israel. So by the way, in the endless wars, we talk a lot about Israel.
Starting point is 00:21:26 But another huge component, they're not the only power in D.C. Another huge component is the defense contractors. That's the evil, you know, basically two sets of folks that put an incredible pressure in Washington. And that is part of the reason why just in the last three years or so, the defense budget, which was already monstrously high, over $800 billion, half of which is totally unaccounted for, cannot pass an audit, don't know where the money is. That should have ended the conversation. Instead of reducing it by half, they have now doubled it under Trump.
Starting point is 00:22:01 They're going for one and a half trillion dollars. It's just an out and out robbery that they can't account for the money. They build useless crap and we're getting beat now by Iran with just drones. And all that money went into their pockets and into their mansions and their yachts and didn't help our guys in their bases as they were attacked and killed in combat that these guys were unprepared for other than the mass of profits that they got. So I want to just show you that while these perpetual wars come at a significant financial costs to American taxpayers, let's not forget that there's also a giant cost to our service
Starting point is 00:22:43 members as well. And Vice President J.D. Vance was actually confronted by that at a recent town hall. So I want to go to Joey Armour. I'm sorry, Joey Amor. He is, this video is heartbreaking. He's currently grieving over the death of his wife, Master Sergeant Nicole Amour, who was a member of the US Army Reserve from Minnesota. She was one of six service members who were killed in an Iranian drone strike on an outpost
Starting point is 00:23:12 in Kuwait on March 1st, so soon after the war started. So imagine Trump launches this war, and he doesn't even do what's necessary to ensure that our service members in the region are safe, even though, even though Iran had threatened to strike U.S. military bases in the Gulf, in the region. And that's exactly what they did after Trump launched the war. And so here you have, again, Joey Amor confronting Vice President J.D. Vance about the failures of our executive branch and of our military leadership. Take a look. Mr. Vice President, my wife, Master Sart, Nicole Amor gave her life on March 1st, 2026. I am damn proud of my wife, as you should be, in the five soldiers that stood next to her.
Starting point is 00:23:56 that died alongside with her. Excuse me. Take your time, man. Take your time. There are now six families living in a nightmare. There is a hard price to pay. There were a lot of mistakes and a lot of fundamental failures that led up to that. I believe CBS is reported on that.
Starting point is 00:24:24 My wife has told me things before she passed. There are other soldiers that know things. things that are being quiet about certain aspects of this. There's a failure in the leadership and I want to know how this administration is going to start holding those leaders accountable for the actions and the deaths of the soldiers that we that we honor and that we love. So there he is, he's clearly grieving, absolutely heartbreaking, lost his wife in a stupid war that was launched against Iran on behalf of Israel.
Starting point is 00:25:01 on behalf of a foreign country, and everyone knows that. And to add insult to injury, here's what Vice President J.D. Vance said in response. It's disgraceful, take a look. When you talk about failures that we were implicated, the administration, the Department of War, whoever you want to say was implicated in, I want to know about that stuff. Because if there were failures, and I don't doubt there were, I just literally the first time I've heard of this is this conversation. And I want to fix that stuff. I do not want this stuff to happen.
Starting point is 00:25:35 I will say, Joey, we have tried to learn because warfare has changed. Drones are cheap. They're very deadly. They're easy to manufacture. And we have changed a lot of our tactics to try to suppress that drone fire, to try to protect our troops, to make it so that more people don't have to pay the ultimate sacrifice. But I want to understand what we can do better and what those soldiers are seeing. Because the part of the problem of this job, this job is an amazing honor, but you live in a bit of a bubble.
Starting point is 00:26:05 And sometimes information doesn't filter up to me. This is an opportunity for it to filter right directly to me. And I promise you, I will take every single failure extremely seriously and we'll work on it. Total clown. Oh, oh, golly gee, there were failures. First time I'm hearing about it. Disgraceful, disgusting. If you're gonna pretend, if you're gonna play dumb, how about you don't even do a town hall?
Starting point is 00:26:33 How about you shut your mouth? How about that? Yeah. So it was clear throughout the town hall and especially in this answer that they decided, you know what, being confrontational isn't working. Let's admit some mistakes and let's be conciliatory and try to have some empathy. He didn't admit any mistakes there. I didn't know, I didn't know.
Starting point is 00:26:52 He pretended like he was ignorant about it. So that's what I'm getting to. Sorry, Jane, go. So that's okay. And so as he does the role playing of, oh my God, Joey, my heart breaks for you, I didn't know, and golly gee, I'd love to know more. Well, what is it that he didn't know? He didn't know that our bases weren't protected against drones and ballistic missiles?
Starting point is 00:27:15 How could he not know that? I mean, I'm not even talking about how could he not know that before we launched the war? That's your job to know it before we launch it. Now, you did know that Israel was protected. to the hilt, right? I mean, everybody knows that. We spent a lot of our missiles, defensive missiles protecting the mainland of Israel. But we did not bother protecting our bases.
Starting point is 00:27:39 And you didn't know that? No, you knew that. You knew. Okay. But even if you didn't know it in the beginning and then you found out and you were outraged and you're like, oh my God, we didn't even protect our own guys because we were busy protecting Israelis? Well, now we're, what, seven months into this round of the war?
Starting point is 00:27:59 You still didn't know? Like when he asked you just yesterday, that's the first time you heard our bases were attacked and people died because our bases were unprotected? No, that can't possibly be true. So what is this? It's just another parlor trick. Yeah. We got to take a break.
Starting point is 00:28:18 When we come back, we will speak to Jeremy Lafretto. He is an investigative journalist who was arrested and detained by the Israelis in 2024. And he has obtained email correspondence between Biden administration officials, where they're actually talking about his arrest and detainment. And I'm curious what he learned from those emails. So come right back. We've got that interview and more. Don't miss it.

Starting point is 00:33:30 t.com slash join. Okay, we've got a great guest, Anna is going to introduce. All right. Well, on October 9th, 2024, on October 9th, 2024, an investigative American journalist by the name of Jeremy LaFredo was arrested at a West Bank checkpoint and jailed for days by the Israeli defense forces. He was reportedly charged with endangering national security and sharing information with the enemy after he had reported on Iranian strikes on Israel. Now, while in Israeli detention, Lafredo says that he was interrogated for, 20 plus hours straight, denied food and water, and obviously treated poorly.
Starting point is 00:34:11 Even after Lafredo was released from prison, he says that he was forced to remain in Israel for weeks. Now, this was in 2024 under the Biden administration, yet the Biden administration seemed to do absolutely nothing to intervene. And as we've reported on the show multiple times, the Biden administration, along with the Trump administration, did nothing to hold Israel accountable. after terrorist settlers killed nine American citizens in the West Bank. Now, LaFredo has access to hundreds of State Department emails that give us a peek into the internal discussions the Biden administration officials were having about LaFredo's detention. Here to speak to us about the situation and share some of the details about those emails is Jeremy LaFredo himself.
Starting point is 00:35:00 Jeremy, thank you so much for joining us. Thanks for having me. Before we get to the emails, which I am very curious about, I actually want to kind of rewind a little bit and ask you to elaborate a little more for our audience on what your experience was and what happened to you, just in case they're unfamiliar with your story. Sure, let's go back a little bit when I started working in Israel, Palestine. It was only maybe a week or two after October 7th. I went to Israel and I started documenting and reporting on the mass ethnic cleansing that followed October 7th in the West Bank. I got there maybe two weeks after October 7th and 40 plus villages in the Jordan Valley
Starting point is 00:35:41 had already been ethnically cleansed. This was almost immediate, so I was covering that for a good while. And then I also covered the fanatical Israelis who were blocking humanitarian aid at the Kareem Shalom and Nizana border crossings in the south of Israel. They were collaborating with the military to block the aid. And then another time I was embedded with some of these Israeli settlers as they marched into Gaza to scout out places that they wanted to build settlements. They planned to talk about Judaizing the Gaza Strip, re-Judaizing it.
Starting point is 00:36:18 And I joined them as they built these things that they would call symbolic outposts. And it was a way to tell the government that they were ready to move into Gaza, northern Gaza and settled Gaza. And then my last time in Israel was reporting on the Operation True Promise. It was an Iranian ballistic missile strike on Israel in retaliation for Israel blowing up the Iranian embassy in Syria and also the assassination of some Hezbollah political officials. And so this missile strike happened. And I was only actually there to cover the new siege, a new war from where they said it was opening up in the refugee camp of Janine in the northern West Bank. So I was there to cover that.
Starting point is 00:37:04 But the day I got there, this ballistic missile strike happened. And so I just simply, I traveled around Israel for a couple days and I just documented where the missiles had fallen. I talked to some Bedwin tribes in the Ngev desert and spoke to them, even though they are Israeli citizens of Israel. they aren't Jewish. And so they aren't afforded the same, you know, bomb shelters that the Jewish Israelis are afforded. And so they became victim to this Iranian missile attack. And so I spoke to them. I documented a few missiles that had fallen in Tel Aviv.
Starting point is 00:37:39 And I published a report. And then a few days later, I was traveling up to Janine finally to do what I actually went there for. And I was stopped at a checkpoint outside of Nablus. And, you know, this is one of the dozens of check. points that you go through while traveling around, you know, the apartheid system of the West Bank. And this road was only for Palestinians. And they took my ID and they saw my name and they made some calls to, you know, presumably
Starting point is 00:38:04 their superiors. And eventually they took me out of the car, they blindfolded me, they shackled me, they handcuffed me, they brought me to a remote West Bank military compound and eventually to a prison, a prison in Jerusalem. It's called Muscovia prison. It's in the Russian compound. And that's where I stayed for the next four days in solitary confinement. I wasn't given any food or water until my last day.
Starting point is 00:38:31 And then I was transferred out of the prison, but I was allowed to leave the prison, but I was still in the bigger prison that is Israel for another two weeks while they continue to interrogate me and go through my phone and whatnot. And then finally I was able to leave Israel. And no help from no help of the US government, they didn't do anything. So they dropped the charges against you about aiding the enemy? Yeah, so the charges were aiding the enemy during wartime, because they said that if the enemy were to look at my report, they might be able to make their next missile attack more, you know,
Starting point is 00:39:12 accurate. And then a few actually Israeli journalists showed up in a couple of my hearings, and they showed the judge their communication with the Israeli military sensor, which all journalists have to go through when publishing anything from Israel. And they showed the judge that the Israeli military sensor actually gave the green light to all the information that was inside of my report. And so if I go to prison, they should go to prison. And if I didn't do anything wrong, they didn't do anything wrong. So the judge looked at that and to the disappointment of the Israeli security services who were
Starting point is 00:39:48 on the other side of the room trying to put me away for 25 years to life. The judge said they didn't really have a case, although she allowed the Israeli security services to take my phone and my computer and hold on to my passport for another couple weeks, do a digital strip search of sorts. And if they can find anything that shows that I did anything criminal, they can keep me there, and if not, they have to let me go. Wow. Okay, so an American journalist,
Starting point is 00:40:18 held in solitary confinement for four days and left to without water or food. For three days, by the way, is a real problem, especially when it comes to water. So they're playing with your life there. And solitary confinement over long periods of time is considered torture. So I'm sure that the American administration was enraged. I mean, if the Russians had done this, the Chinese or even allies like Saudis or Turks, this would have been headline news. So tell me about all the outrage.
Starting point is 00:40:48 journalists in America who wanted to support you all over cable news and New York Times and Washington Post, I'm sure, I'm sure, and the administration who leapt to your defense, right? The administration did not leap to my defense. While I was in prison, I was under the assumption that they just didn't care, that they just did not care at all. But I recently got 140 pages of emails from inside the State Department while I was in prison and while I was in Israel, allowed to leave. And instead of them not caring, it seemed like they did care very much, but not really about my safety. More so, they cared about comms and PR and how the administration looked. They are, the emails reveal they're just chaotically going back and forth, asking for
Starting point is 00:41:36 TPs, TPs. They keep saying this word TP. It's an acronym for talking point. They're asking everyone for talking points. They're being sent to their superiors, and then they're being sent higher up. And not once in 140 pages of emails, do I see them ever using any diplomatic leverage or energy trying to get me out of prison or help me in Israel, but it's all to help the administration, all to help the administration if it were to look like they weren't helping me. Jeremy, I want to get a little bit more clear about that. First of all, it's amazing that they didn't even bother once talking about helping an American
Starting point is 00:42:13 citizen and American journalist held in a foreign prison in solitary confinement without food or water. Amazing. So they're not even pretending to be Americans anymore. So but the second part of it is interesting. So they're asking for talking points and about covering, you know, their own ass, honestly, for this Biden administration. But they wouldn't have to cover their ass if they had as one of the options help U.S. citizen. So is it, does it sound like out of the 140 pages, it was their assumption that they would never help an American citizen versus the Israeli government, that obviously they have to help the Israeli government. So then the only question that remains is how do they do a PR for themselves so they don't get caught helping the Israeli government, you know, in prison, unjustly imprisoned an American citizen.
Starting point is 00:43:06 There's a few really interesting parts of these emails where they'll say something like, they're even referring to me, they will refer to me inside the State Department. These are internal communications where they refer to me as kidnapped by the IDF. They say that. So they acknowledge that you're kidnapped by the IDF and their whole take throughout these emails was what's our talking, like we're not going to do anything about it, but what's our talking point when we're asked about it? And what were they deliberating in regard to what the talking point should be?
Starting point is 00:43:41 For instance, one journalist emailed the State Department and they asked if they considered it to be WD, like wrongful detention. So and that's like a diplomatic phrase, if someone's wrongfully detained abroad, then you know all these things get initiated inside of the White House, inside of the State Department, you know, different diplomats and different people within the state departments need to work to get this person out of prison. They need to make certain statements at the State Department press briefings and so on. So this journalist said, do you consider Mr. LaFredo wrongfully detained?
Starting point is 00:44:17 And that email gets passed around to maybe five or six different people. And they end up saying, do not address wrongful detainment, pivot immediately to our talking points, which are, you know, anytime an American is detained abroad, we take very seriously X, Y, and Z. But they were very careful and very serious to tell anyone who worked at the State Department not to use the phrase wrongful detainment to any reporter. And like they got a, they got an email from someone informing them that I was interrogated for seven plus hours one day without any breaks food or water. They call it, they call it kidnapping. They knew I was in Muscobey prison. And according to Adimir, which
Starting point is 00:44:59 as a prisoner rights organization out of Ramallah. Escobia used to be called a slaughterhouse because of how, because of the interrogation techniques they employ. They do all sorts of things there that you would consider a human rights abuse and they know the American journalist is there. And all these things together, they're just going back and forth trying to make it so this doesn't cause a crisis for the administration. So Jeremy, I just want to review here because the two things you said are amazing.
Starting point is 00:45:29 So they internally said you were kidnapped, but externally they wanted to make sure that you weren't even referred to as a wrongly detained person. So they were actively lying to make sure nobody found out what the Israeli government was doing to an American journalist. That's point one. And point two is they were debating the different ways that they stated how seriously they take this issue and the talking points they would use in that regard, as they internally were saying, obviously, we don't take it seriously, and we will do nothing about it. I mean, implicit,
Starting point is 00:46:10 they did absolutely nothing, but they did care a lot about how to frame how seriously they took it as they weren't taking it seriously. Do I have that right? No, that's exactly right, Jake. I feel like I was expecting, because I filed this freedom of information I request long ago, nothing came back to me, I wasn't surprised. And then I finally found some email. This is maybe they sent this maybe two weeks ago. And to see that the chaos that was ensuing inside of the Biden State Department was unbelievable because I really thought they didn't care, but they do care, but in the worst way imaginable.
Starting point is 00:46:46 There's even one email that says the seventh floor and the White House are tracking this very closely. And the seventh floor means the upper echelons of the State Department and the White House we know is the Joe Biden administration. So this idea that when I was in solitary confinement and the guards were walking past me, you know, making fun of me because I'm going to be in prison for 25 years they would tell me. And like I thought for sure, like you just wait, you know, the U.S. government is going to be here. They're going to help me out. Never, never once they even think about helping me out, they just thought about, you know, covering their own ass. And another point that you raised, if I was arrested in China or Russia, it arguably would have
Starting point is 00:47:29 been way better because they, the U.S. government would have viewed this as a, you know, a way to score propaganda points. Say like, look how authoritarian China and Russia are. And they would flex their diplomatic muscles in an effort to get me backed. But because of it's Israel, they don't want to make Israel look bad. And so I'm, it's a worst case scenario, actually. I think you're absolutely right about that. In fact, I remember during Biden's administration,
Starting point is 00:47:54 everyone was very happy about the fact that he was able to release. Her name is escaping me at the moment, but the basketball player, female basketball player who had been detained by Russia over a small amount of marijuana possession. But I have so many questions. But first, let me go back to the interrogation methods. I'm curious what kind of interrogation methods they used on you while they were interrogating you.
Starting point is 00:48:20 Thankfully, like they didn't, they did not physically touch me or do anything like that. But like one thing that I can recall was it was maybe my second day in solitary and late at night, I started hearing the most violent excruciating screams. of what I would assume was a fellow inmate, you know, screaming demands, screaming demands, demands in Hebrew yelling, this is like two hours, I couldn't escape the sounds. And then it ended, and then shortly after it ended, I was, you know, my cell door was opened by playing closed officers and they took me in a car and they took me to the West Bank to interrogate me. And I thought this was crazy, but if you go on a lot of the prisoner rights organizations
Starting point is 00:49:07 websites that document these types of abuses in Israeli prisons, this is actually a tech They subject the prisoner to the screams of their fellow inmates and then interrogate the prisoner. So like there's fear so that they are quicker to, you know, admit to something. Did you get the sense that the members of the IDF who had detained and arrested you and people who were working in the prison kind of had this sense or this air of impunity? Like even though you're an American journalist, even though you did nothing wrong, They knew that they could do this to you without having to worry about the U.S. government, even under the Biden administration, coming after them. Yeah, they're not, it's lawless.
Starting point is 00:49:54 They know that they have protection from, you know, the biggest military empire in the world. Like, they have such confidence. When I was first arrested, first taken in with a fellow journalist who were eventually let go, we were still shackled and handcuffed, and they put us in front of, together we will win Israeli flag, which is, you know, it's a nationalist wartime slogan. They put us in front of the flag and took photos of us and for like group chats or what have you. And they sent us back to ourselves, and they told us to come back up, they yelled us to smile.
Starting point is 00:50:26 And then when I was actually inside the solid air confinement, they would just open the door and just to tell me that, you know, you're gonna be in prison for a long time. You really hurt Israel, you hurt Israel. Are they just embarrassed that Iran's missiles landed? Is that what it's about? Because obviously whenever there's warfare between Israel or any other country, they don't want any reporting to show the damage that was done to Israel. And so it feels like they retaliated against you because they were embarrassed.
Starting point is 00:50:55 And they just didn't want that information to get out there. Yeah, I mean, they don't want, because you had the Washington Post, you had the American press talking about where these missiles had landed. But inside of Israel, they very much want, the government wants Israelis to think that they are safe from the violence that Israel exports to their neighboring countries. So they don't want their population to know that the Iron Dome sometimes doesn't work, that sometimes missiles can fall in, you know, residential areas that are right around military centers inside of Tel Aviv. So there's a military censorship order on reporting like this because they need to keep Israelis blind to the fact that they're not totally safe from the violence that they're exporting. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:44 Yeah, so a couple of things here. First, it was Britney Greiner who was arrested by the Russians. Second, despite all this, you're relatively lucky. Shireen Albuakli was another American journalist and the Israeli's assassin. her and our government didn't even ask for the assailant to be arrested. So that's why they act with impunity because they've literally murdered American citizens and American journalists before and our government hasn't even asked for justice. So let alone arresting the person or extraditing them.
Starting point is 00:52:17 So you're lucky to be alive, to be honest. And so now given that context, as you read the emails, the 140 pages of them, did it sound like the American government officials were more interested in American interests? Oh my God, we gotta protect the American citizen, the American people have to know, etc. Or did it sound like they were more interested in Israeli interests? It's October, which means the weather's getting colder, mornings and nights are getting darker, and your body's like, what happened? When the seasons shift, you need your foundation to stay solid.
Starting point is 00:52:52 That's why using AG1 makes so much sense. AG1 NextGen has 75 plus ingredients, vitamins, minerals, pre and probiotics, superfoods, backed by four separate gold standard clinical trials. Not just one study, four. Key nutrient levels improved within three months of consistent use. It's not a one day fix, it's what happens when you stay consistent. Fall means to start the flu season and your immune system matters most. AG1 NextGen is specifically formulated to support immune defense, so you're not starting
Starting point is 00:53:24 the season behind. One scoop in cold water every morning, that's it. Go to drinkag1.com slash TYT. And for a limited time, get a free immune support bundle, including a bottle of omega-3 fish oil and a bottle of vitamin D3K2 with your first subscription order of AG1 next gen or AG1 Pro. That's drinkag1.com slash tyt. I mean, they were certainly more interested in, I mean, so it could be American interests, but it's not the American interest, it's not my interests as an American, it's not the American people's interests, it's America's interests as the Biden administration is America. And so by protecting the administration and they're protecting Israel, like it's a, you know,
Starting point is 00:54:10 it's a, it's a, they get to do both of the same time. They are emailing back and forth, like it's the, you know, it's the banality of evil, like they're not, at all acting like that this is a crisis. You know, they're not worried for my safety. They're really just like, it's like running a company. It's like the, it's the administration's image. And so when they send around, what should you say? What are the talking points?
Starting point is 00:54:36 They're reminded every so often that the seventh floor and the White House care about this very much. Like they are being told that their boss is watching. They don't say anything to the press that, you know, that Biden wouldn't like, et cetera, et cetera. So wait, that's very important because the White House. and the seventh floor, so presumably Blinken, Sullivan, Biden, etc. They are concerned. And everyone beneath them knows they are concerned, but not concerned about rescuing you,
Starting point is 00:55:03 concerned that people will find out that they work for Israel, like that basically we don't care about American citizens. We're definitely won't even ask to get them out. We're not even having any internal conversation about how to get them out. The question is, how do we make sure the American people don't find out that we're not doing anything to get them out. Is that fair to say? That's exactly true. And at some point there was an online campaign with the embassy in Jerusalem's phone number and also the State Department's phone number in Washington.
Starting point is 00:55:37 And it said, you know, like call, demand that they released Jeremy, et cetera, et cetera. And one State Department employee emailed their higher up and said, I'm just letting you know, we have received 70 calls over the past two days on this. American journalist that was kidnapped in Israel, what do you want me to do? And then you know, that is forward around several times, several times. What are the talking points? Do we have a script ready? And eventually their anger is directed to the fact that people on social media are making
Starting point is 00:56:05 these annoying campaigns. It's not really anything about saving me or protecting an American abroad. So Jeremy, as I was researching your story, I came across something that actually really upset me, which was, you know, Jake had asked you earlier about legacy media in the U.S. and how they didn't actually even cover what happened to you, much less defend you in the face of Israeli aggression. But I came across, and I'm not sure if you even know about this, there's a local radio station known as KCRW that I typically like.
Starting point is 00:56:43 And they have like a set of podcasts. One of their podcasts had delved into your story and seemed to try. try to discredit you, okay? And I actually fact check the ways in which this person was trying to discredit you. And she argued that on October 10th, now mind you, you were arrested October 9th. October 10th, your lawyer- I was the 8th. It was the 8th, okay.
Starting point is 00:57:06 So by October 10th, your lawyer was, I guess, speaking to the court system about your diet restrictions because you have some allergies. And her argument was, well, I mean, if they were starving him, Well, why wouldn't the lawyer mention that to the court system as opposed to mentioning what your allergies are? But I mean, it's unclear whether your lawyer was even fully aware of what you were going through at that moment since you had just been arrested. But do you want to clarify that? I don't know if you came across that reporting.
Starting point is 00:57:42 No, this is an NPR journalist and like every little piece of like I said I was in solitary confinement and she did her research online and she said like, you know, actually, you This actually doesn't seem like solitary confinement the way you described. It's like I was confined in solitude. I don't know, I don't know what like you else would you would call it. I was I was in a little concrete box and they didn't bring any food until the very last day. And she says that because my father spoke to my lawyer and my father told my lawyer to make sure the prison knows that Jeremy is allergic to tree nuts. She found that and she said, huh, I knew he was being fed.
Starting point is 00:58:24 And like, those don't really add up the way that she makes it seem. So in other words, U.S.-based journalists were far more interested in nitpicking and assuming things about your case as opposed to rightfully feeling outraged over the fact that an American journalist was wrongfully detained and imprisoned by the IDF. for doing his job in reporting about what's happening on the ground there. Certainly. And if you remember when the Walshue Journal reporter got detained in Russia, the next day, Jake Tapper was wearing his name on his lapel. Like the entire media went to overdrive to raise awareness about the authoritarian Russians taking an American journalist.
Starting point is 00:59:13 And then when the Israelis do that to an American journalist, they couldn't care less. It's it's scorn. It's scorn for the American. They want to they want to discredit the story. They want to stay quiet about it. It's the exact opposite. It's, you know, manufacturing consent for Israel's continued, you know, murder of, and, you know, beating up of journalists. You know, there was, of course, the story that broke last week involving the Washington Post journalist who was brutally beaten by Israeli terrorists in the West Bank. There's video of the incident. There's obvious evidence of the incident. It seemed like Netanyahu was attempting to pour cold water on it, or at least tried to discredit it.
Starting point is 00:59:54 And at the same time, there was this one person who writes for the Atlantic time to time, who has a history of defending the Israeli terrorists in the West Bank, the so-called settlers, who also tried to pretend as though we don't know the full story of what happened to that journalist, journalist, even though we literally see these disgusting thugs, assault her, beat her. Okay, it was a terrible scene. And so the real question here is, do you think that after this happened to a Washington Post journalist, that it might shake, you know, corporate media in the United States out of their complacency on this issue?
Starting point is 01:00:34 Maybe they'll realize that, hey, you know what, journalists at least need to stick together and protect each other when it comes to aggression of any kind of. kind from any government or any military force? Or do you think that this is just part for the course for legacy media in the US and they're just going to keep going in the direction they've been going in despite the fact that we now have evidence of a Washington boast journalist and previously a CNN journalist getting assaulted by NBC News? And NBC News. I mean the list goes on and on and I guess I'm answering my own question but I'm curious what you think. I think that what's happening is that Israel is raising the courage threshold,
Starting point is 01:01:08 The amount of courage you need to report on Israel. They're raising the courage threshold so high that I don't know what the actual newsrooms will be doing, but I know that if you raise it so high, like as an American journalist, you need to be willing to get beat up, get imprisoned, you know, be suspected of, you know, helping the enemy during wartime and put in prison 25 years to life, kicked bloody in, outside the olive groves. That's what you need to be willing to do in order to just report on what is. Israel is doing.
Starting point is 01:01:39 In Gaza, in southern Lebanon, the courage threshold is so high that you need to be willing to give your life to report on what Israel is doing in southern Lebanon or Gaza. So the curse threshold is so high that Western journalists and journalists in the region will be silenced into complacency. There's really, I don't know what's going to happen inside of the NBC newsrooms or the New York Times, but the actual journalists, they will be frightened to go there themselves. Yeah, I mean, there's also the courage threshold here at home because if they are critical of Israel, they'll be instantly fired.
Starting point is 01:02:15 So I mean, look at the stark examples here and it'll lead to my last question. We have Khashoggi murdered by another ally in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia, and to your earlier point, all of American media goes nuts over it for years and good, that's wonderful, we should go nuts over it as an absolute outrage, right? Shireen Abuaklis killed another U.S. journalists by another ally in the Middle East, Israel. And I've not seen any mainstream media journalists care about it, talk about it. To be fair, just to be, because I want to make sure we're accurate. CNN did do their own independent investigation into Shireen Abuakle and what happened to her.
Starting point is 01:02:54 And to their credit, they did determine that it was an Israeli sniper who shot and killed her on purpose. Yes, and that's a great point. And thank you for that clarification, Anna. And then none of their anchors cared. Yeah. Okay, so CNN credit to them for that report, no question about it, right? And we're always try to give credit to media, mainstream media organizations that every once in a while do something positive. But then all their anchors are like, no, no, I don't need a lapel pin over it.
Starting point is 01:03:19 It's no big deal. She was just a Muslim and an Arab, so it doesn't matter at all. I mean, that's certainly been their impression they've given it to everyone who they've never cared about it, never talked about it on air. So now then you move to the number of journalists killed. World War II was a disaster. 69 journalists were killed. In Gaza, over 240 journalists have been killed. I mean, in World War II, we had the Nazis. And only 69 journalists were killed.
Starting point is 01:03:45 And so, but yet again, American media, who cares? Who cares? As long as Israel's butchering them, it's okay. We don't care about fellow journalists, because I don't think that they view them as fellow. Because they don't view themselves as journalists. They view them as like, oh, these meddlesome reporters not doing propaganda, But embarrassing us by doing news. I would like to dispel the notion that hacks like Jake Tapper do not see themselves
Starting point is 01:04:13 as journalists. Believe me, they definitely see themselves as journalists. Yes, you're right, you're right, Anna. Thank you for the second clarification. Because I'm sure that in his arrogant, snobby elitist mind, is like, I am the best journalist. Journalist murdered by Israel are no big deal at all. Of course, every real journalist knows that. Every real journalist knows that Israel is allowed to kidnap American journalists and torture
Starting point is 01:04:37 them and then kill them if they need to. And anyone who speaks out as an anti-Semite, I know that because I'm a journalist. Okay, so that's Jake Tapper, we got it. But overall, you know, as you see this whole picture of American media saying, as long as Israel does it, we don't care and we won't cover it. And so this happened to you, Jeremy? So what? You're just a lowly American who's objecting to the beloved Israelis.
Starting point is 01:05:04 Okay, so now that's very loaded. That's how I viewed from the outside. So am I being unfair? Did big factions of mainstream media, national media, jumped to your defense, and I missed it? No, I think we had, I think the Guardian wrote something, the intercept wrote something, and that was, I think, the extent of the American media coverage. In Israel, you had, Aurettes, the Jerusalem,
Starting point is 01:05:30 Post, I-24, pretty much every big publication and newspaper and broadcast channel in Israel covered it. But it was an American. And then in America, it's not covered at all. And that's just the, that's the, you know, what they say, the worthy and unworthy victims. Like, you know, if an American journalist is brutalized by Israel, they're unworthy because we can't turn that into a propaganda victory. And if an American journalist is brutalized by Russia or China, Iran, that's a war.
Starting point is 01:06:00 worthy victim because we can turn that into a giant propaganda story and it follows our, you know, our narrative as the U.S. government. I think you're right. Jeremy, I know that you're going to, you know, write about the emails that you accessed. And I want to make sure that our audience can read your reporting on that. So please let them know where they can find your work. Sure, you can find my work on DropSite News. And I also have a substack called Dragnet, G, D-R-A-G net. And that's where all the reporting on this will be and also reporting that I recently did in Lebanon.
Starting point is 01:06:34 Thank you for the work you do. And if you ever want to come back and share anything else, you have a home here. So thank you again for the work you do. The journalists who put their lives on the line to get us the information that we need in order to know what's happening in the world are just incredibly crucial. And you are part of that group. So thank you again, Jeremy. Yeah, and thank you for being past the courage threshold.
Starting point is 01:06:55 Yes, absolutely. All right, Jeremy LaFredo everybody, check it out and read them and find out the real news. We appreciate it. All right, we're come right back. And one of the things we're going to do when we return is tell you about something amazing that's going to happen on election day regarding our coverage. And where it's going to be seen, super interesting. We'll be right back. Unlock unlimited free grocery delivery with PC Express Pass.

Starting point is 01:07:49 and practice your Christianity. I believe in that. I don't believe in Christianity, which means that you do not get to dictate the way I live my life based on your religion. I don't care what the Bible says. You have every right in the world. All those women who identify with your religion have every right in the world to not get an abortion, to not take birth control. But they do not have the right to dictate my life.
Starting point is 01:08:13 And what I decide to do with my body, I don't care about your goddamn religion. I'm so tired of having non-stop conversations about what the Bible says. You live your life in the way that you interpret the Bible. Again, I don't care, but you don't get to take the Bible and tell me, well the Bible says this. in this chapter and this verse, I don't care. I don't care. I don't believe in it. And I have the right, based on our Constitution, to not believe in it. Has been left on Skate. Ain't a whole lot left? I don't know why they need any more bomb. Let us be clear. United States provided $18 billion in military aid to Israel.
Starting point is 01:08:58 Netanyahu indiscriminate bombardment have killed more than 50,000 civilians, 60% percent. of whom are women, children, paramedics and journalists, all of this is against basic human decency. You don't starve children with absolutely no humanitarian aid getting into Gaza. It is a war crime. It is illegal for the United States government to provide Israel with more offensive weapons. It will not forgive us. We've been on our phones too much. I feel like we just need to touch grass or something.
Starting point is 01:09:47 I told you. I mean, you know what? Let's actually do it. Let's touch the grass. Whoa. Andrew Yang? It's not racist, right? It's him.
Starting point is 01:09:59 Yes, it is I. Andrew Yang out here giving money away, as usual. Wait, but literally? Do you use a phone? Noble Mobile will cut your wireless bill in half every month, and you get paid even more if you log off, look up. and touch grass. Oh, I actually have some grass.
Starting point is 01:10:15 I don't think that's a kind of grass. Not that kind of grass, unfortunately. Whoa. Wait, what the... Whoa. I guess that kind of grass works, too. All grass works. All grass and we get cash?
Starting point is 01:10:27 Did you see that? Babe. Make it rain, go, make it rain, make it rain. That didn't rain so good. But now it's raining good. Corruption, injustice, the system is rigged against you. All right, back on the Young Turks, Jank and Anna with you guys. And Iden draft, thanks for joining on YouTube. We appreciate it. They have the join button below. Makes you a bit of an American hero. All right, now a story that's a little bit self-referential but important.
Starting point is 01:12:25 So joining us is going to be Sam Fai CEO of C-SPAN because all of a sudden young Turks on C-SPAN on election night. What is going on? So Sam, welcome to the program and tell us what you guys got cooking over at C-SPAN for election night, which is very interesting. Hey guys, this is exciting. It's exciting for me to be on your show and it will be exciting for you to be on our networks. So on election night, that is two weeks from tomorrow, November 3rd. We will have the traditional C-SPAN election night content on our primary, our first C-SPAN network. But we have two other networks, Jank, C-SPAN 2 and C-SPAN 3. And we thought we would do something a little different this year.
Starting point is 01:13:12 We looked around the world, we talked to YouTube, we wanted to find the YouTube podcasts who were likely to have the most extensive, interesting, and impactful election night coverage on November 3rd, one from the left, one from the right, and we decided that this was a really clear-cut, really clear-cut analysis. We were going to use that, we wanted to reach out to the Young Turks as a our progressive podcast and Patrick Bet David as our PBD as our conservative podcast because each of you guys did some extraordinary election coverage in 2024. I watched it. It was amazing. And so on election night this year, because we've we've worked this out with you. So this is not a not a secret now. And we put a press release out this morning. We're going to have the young Turks full election night coverage on C-SPAN 2, the entire program, soup to nuts, everything that you guys do. And then meanwhile on C-SPAN 3,
Starting point is 01:14:17 we're gonna have a conservative podcast, BBD on for, for conservative viewers. And you know what? Some of your viewers may switch back and forth, just because you wanna see what the other side is saying. It's something we've never done before. We're excited as hell about it. And I think it'll be a great way to offer something different
Starting point is 01:14:35 to folks on election night. And for you to expose your streaming audience and your, your, your, audio audience, however they get young Turks to a television audience. So that's what we're doing. Yeah, and we're excited. So Sam, real quick on that. So I'm curious, since us outsiders, and I think that that's a fair way of describing
Starting point is 01:14:58 both us and Patrick Bed David's show, whether we're on the left or the right, don't often get featured on television. It feels like two totally different worlds, different planets. And you guys have done this bold choice here, which I think is fantastic. Because not only do you give people different perspectives, but because we're on the left and the right, but you also give them a different perspective because we come from the online world and the outsider world, right? So did you get any pushback from anyone else in media or in Washington? Like, what are you doing putting these outsider rabble rousers on television?
Starting point is 01:15:29 Ooh, good question. Good question, that's right. Good point. No, not yet, but we just announced it this afternoon. So we'll wait for the pushback. But no, this to me, it's sort of a no-brainer. It's an opportunity for us to do something different and expose our television audience to a really important conversation that's happening online. They may not be familiar with it.
Starting point is 01:15:53 You're right. They may be really television cable, YouTube TV rather than YouTube, direct TV viewers, and they're used to sitting at their television and switching around channels on election night. Well, now we have three offerings on election night. We have a down the middle program. We'll have no pundits, no partisans, no commentators. We're just going to take you, give you results, take you to campaign headquarters. We'll have folks using the magic wall. We actually call it our democracy dashboard behind me.
Starting point is 01:16:27 But we'll also tell those viewers, hey, if you want the progressive perspective, go to C-SPAN 2. That's where Chank and Anna are and the young Turks are doing this. their thing or the conservative perspective, go to CSPAN 3. That's where Patrick and his team are doing things on PBD. So yeah, it's a little bit different. I think it'll be great for our audiences to be exposed to you. Hopefully it'll be great for your audiences to be exposed to us or to our opportunity for
Starting point is 01:16:54 you to find a new audience, who knows? I really do think this is a great and bold idea, mainly because C-SPAN is just such an important resource for Americans in terms of being informed about what's happening, you know, House hearings, Senate floor votes. I mean, everything gets covered on C-SPAN and to kind of wade into the new media territory shows that you're with it. You know, like you're with it and you're not resisting it. And I love that.
Starting point is 01:17:23 So I have a little bit of a spicy question for you though. Are we on C-SPAN 2, whereas PBD is on C-SPAN 3 because we're maybe favored a little bit? You know what? You can believe that if you want to believe that. Okay. The truth is the audiences are remarkably similar. They're about the same. And so it was effectively a coin flip. But so we're not favoring.
Starting point is 01:17:48 We're C-SPAN. We don't favor anybody. We don't pick sides. That's sort of our hallmark. But it worked out that you are on two and they're on three. But it doesn't really make any difference. They're all grouped together. They're all available together.
Starting point is 01:18:00 And the audiences are almost, they're usually the same. It all depends on what we put on. to put there they're the same. So so no big advantage or disadvantage. It just worked out that way. Yeah. No Sam one more time. A tremendous credit for actually trying to represent all Americans, including Americans that normally get their news online. So really appreciate C-SPAN. I've enjoyed every appearance I've had on C-SPAN because I get to talk directly to the American people. Jake, one of the things that I got really excited about when I was watching yours and PPD's coverage from the last election, you were on PBD, They, I believe, were on young Turks.
Starting point is 01:18:38 There was, I don't know if you guys did a little swap or a little, I don't know, give each other a taste of reality, but I thought that was great. Yeah, no, no, we love it. All right, thank you so much Sam. We appreciate it. And on election night, everybody check out C-SPAN itself for all of the data and all the information about the election. And then C-SPAN 2 for us and C-SPAN 3 for PBD show. Thank you again for joining us, Sam.
Starting point is 01:19:03 Thanks, guys. Looking forward to it. Appreciate it. All right, let's take a quick break. And when we come back, the riots in France. And guys, there is something deeply ironic about the coverage of the riots in France. Wait until you see what it is. We'll be right back. Unlock unlimited free grocery delivery with PC Express Pass. Enter Tamid writes in on YouTube member section. Jeremy LaFredo, heart and fire emojis, thank you. Starting point is 01:22:03 Now we're gonna tell you about a sponsor you guys are gonna love. Pause and Clause. Now, okay, you might cry a little bit during this though. Did you know that in New Jersey alone, nine cats and dogs get killed every single day? Come on, come on, Jack. Come on, Matt. We gotta tell nobody, we gotta help people. So that's why we gotta tell them, okay?
Starting point is 01:22:20 So I couldn't believe it when I heard it. So thankfully today's sponsors doing something about a pause and clause society. Their philosophy is prevention. They provide free spaying and neutering, free vaccinations, parasite treatment and disease testing. Nobody there takes a salary, not one person. It's all volunteers. So your donation goes straight to an animal in need.
Starting point is 01:22:38 If you're in or around New Jersey, save a life and adopt a pet from Paus and Clause or send a donation to help them provide services to other animals in need. To send a donation, you don't have to be anywhere near New Jersey. Go to go. Go. t.com slash pause and close. Obviously you can use the QR code on the screen as well, but that's go.
Starting point is 01:22:59 Dot t.com slash pause and clause. Go help them out. These are wonderful people trying to do the right thing for our pets here in America. So we love them for it. Voice over called up. Okay. I forgot to tell you during the rest.
Starting point is 01:23:12 No, no. I know. Let's go to our next story. Let's go to our next story. All right, so this is unfortunately France burning. There has been significant riots over the weekend, but it's not the only place. There are also riots happening in Italy and Belgium, and there's something deeply ironic here.
Starting point is 01:23:36 A lot of this is we're going to explain to you and give you details and receipts caused by the war in Iran, hence Israel's fault. But the Zionists who are doing propaganda all over Western media, including in American media now using it as an opportunity to attack Muslims that had nothing to do with it. So if you watch American media, you will get the exact opposite of the truth on this story. So let's give you the actual story here. So look, I mean, how many decades are we going to absorb the same BS talking point about why there's unrest?
Starting point is 01:24:09 Oh, it's Islam, oh, it's the Muslims, oh, could it maybe be, no one can afford anything. people, especially young people, feel like they've got nothing to look forward to, nothing to work toward, that there's no future for them. I think that would lead to people rioting more than anything else. But nonetheless, Zionists are blaming Islam, of course. French President Emmanuel Macron has blamed the far left, in addition to high fuel prices and an untenable cost of living crisis. What's the truth?
Starting point is 01:24:39 Well, let's give you what everyone's saying, and then we'll break it down. Let's start with Macron. French President Emmanuel Macron blamed far-left groups and criminals for the unrest and vowed to take action. Those who destroyed property must pay. Those who looted must reimburse the damage. Those who sought to bring down the republic will be held accountable. President Macron held an emergency meeting with his ministers on Sunday, with more talks planned on Monday with French mayors to address public safety and the grievances raised by protesters. We also said the majority of the protesters were simply calling to attention.
Starting point is 01:25:15 and legitimate grievances that the government simply cannot ignore. Yesterday, several hundred thousand of our fellow citizens demonstrate with a desire to voice legitimate demands. We must never confuse them with those who destroyed, vandalized, and looted. These demonstrators expressed concern about the cost of living and fuel prices, which stemmed from the conflict that began in the Persian Gulf, a conflict in which France has taken no part But whose consequences we are suffering and we're in our subisions, I fully understand their concerns. Now, the entire globe is suffering the consequences of the U.S. decision to go to war with Iran
Starting point is 01:25:57 on behalf of Israel. That is the heart of the issue. When energy prices are inflated as a result of conflict as a result of war, that trickles down into every other part of the economy. And if you're in the United States, believe it not, the inflated fuel prices that you are paying for is nowhere as bad as what the Europeans are dealing with. In fact, Europeans are being told right now that they can look forward to a winter where they will not have access to heating oil, okay? Meaning that they will freeze in the winter because of the energy shortage that we're dealing
Starting point is 01:26:32 with right now. At the same time, you know, you do have this argument that there are these left-wing radicals, ultra left movements that are organizing the unrest that we're seeing on the streets. But I want to go to one more video before we break it down further. And it's of Ben Shapiro who's blaming it on on the Palestinians and those who support them. Oh, yeah, of course. Let's watch. Paris is burning. So is Marseille. So is Lyon. So is Limoges. And so is Milan, Italy. This is not about education policy. It's not about cuts to social programming. It's about people.
Starting point is 01:27:09 who want to destroy the West. Period. And we know them by their flag. It's not the French flag. It's not even the flag of communism. It's the flag of violent third worldism and hatred of the West. It is this flag and it is everywhere. But by the way, is it helping France? France recognized Palestinian statehood unilaterally in September 2025. It's going great for you. I would venture to say that the country that destroyed the West happens to be Israel. You know, the parasitic nation that sucks the resources out of the United States, for instance. How many trillions of dollars again, Jank? Have we spent in order to fight Israel's wars for them?
Starting point is 01:27:48 Eight. Oh, $8 trillion. Okay, and of course that number is increasing given the fact that we are now at war with Iran on behalf of Israel. But Shapiro doesn't want you to focus on that. So he wants you to, well, actually, even worse, he wants to exploit the unrest we're seeing in Europe right now in order to push more anti-pacist. Palestinian propaganda because he's a disgusting heathen. Okay? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:12 So the Western and European press, and by the way, a decent amount of the print press here in America covered the story fairly accurately and they also quoted Macron who you just saw there. So the protest was generally of young French people who are really angry about affordability. Same issues here, but even more amplified over there. fuel prices even more amplified in France. So the reason why, for example, there is a Palestinian flag there is because people in the rest of the world don't live under Israeli propaganda to the degree that we do.
Starting point is 01:28:51 So they know the truth, the truth is as Macron stated in that statement, it's because of the war in the Gulf. The Iran war has driven up fertilizer prices, gas prices, diesel prices, and food prices. No question about it to every single expert in the world agrees. So that's why people are mad. Why did we go to, why is this whole world suffering? Why as a Frenchman am I suffering here in Marseille? Because Israel wanted to attack Iran and be the only regional superpower, as Netanyahu stated
Starting point is 01:29:24 after the war began. And the Saudis decided to reignite the war against the Houthis for really no reason, which did what? That also exacerbated the energy shortage that we're dealing with. But no, no, no, people aren't worried about their own personal finances or the cost of living at all. It's just the Muslims, I guess. Yeah. So they see the French, both their media and the government saying it's the fuel prices,
Starting point is 01:29:51 it's affordability overall, it's frustration over wages and the economic conditions, and it's young people in general. And by the way, maybe a little fair to say people on the left. But then you turn to American media and cable news and they're like, so you mean Muslims. Europeans are like, no, we didn't say Muslims, we don't mean Muslims because it wasn't Muslims. What on God's greener are you guys talking about? And look. And our politicians like Ted Cruz come in, our media figures like Ben Shapiro, but most
Starting point is 01:30:21 importantly, cable news then backs them up. Well, was it the Muslims? Is it all the Muslims' fault? You could definitely argue that it's Israel's fault, but nobody's even arguing that they're just reporting on what actually happened. But somehow our media inverts it on its head and goes, it must be the Muslims fault for getting bombed. Okay, I mean, this is just insanity. It's bigotry on steroids. On steroids. And much like the United States, there's always going to be various factions that exploit unrest for their own personal propaganda or talking points, right?
Starting point is 01:30:55 Now look, there has been a pretty significant influx of immigration to European countries. And we shouldn't deny that, it's just the truth. Certainly in Italy, certainly in France, and there's always gonna be people who are uncomfortable with a high volume of immigration into their country. And so there are people who are talking about that, and they're using the unrest to make that point. But the fundamental reason why the unrest began in the first place is because of the cost of living. It actually started with high school students in France who were blocking entry into schools. That's how the protest began.
Starting point is 01:31:35 And then it just kind of snowballed into something bigger. And in fact, Jake makes a good point about how our media does a poor job in really getting into the weeds about what's happening in these massive protests and Europe. However, I will give some credit to CNN for interviewing Dominique Thomas about this, because I think his analysis was super helpful in helping me understand at least what's actually happening on the ground and what's motivating the majority of these protesters. As always, there's going to be a group of people who take advantage of it to loot or to cause damage to property. But the heart of the protest, and the reason why these protesters took to the street in the first place, as many as 800,000 over the weekend.
Starting point is 01:32:20 does have to do with the cost of living. Here's more from Dominique Thomas on CNN. And we have a whole generation of younger people, but also workers in French society, who feel like the society has become more inequitable. And they've taken the street to air their feelings here. And this has been compounded by what has been a decided sort of increase in really what we can only describe as the sort of militarization of the French police force. In the last two years, there have been five education ministers. So the claims that school-age students are making, that university students are making, that they have been left behind by the Macron presidency are absolutely legitimate. The youth are the future of France, and the youth feel like they have no future.
Starting point is 01:33:04 They have anxiety over the future of AI and the prospects and the employment, but they feel like they're not being listened to, and that those that are thriving in society in the wealthier sectors are moving ahead, and a whole generation is being left behind. This started with school age students, but they've been joined in this particular movement, as we've seen elsewhere in Europe by university students, teachers, trade unions, and workers who all feel the same. We're at a crossroads in France and what these protests reveal are very deep political and social fractures. More analysis on this from the Guardian states that high school pupils have clashed with police in often violent protests over long hours missing teachers. dilapidated classrooms and an opaque university admission system, pupils routinely miss months of teaching due to unfilled staff absences.
Starting point is 01:34:00 Like things seem to be really falling apart in the Western world. But you know, at least we have our priority straight. At least we're, you know, funding our big militaries and agitating for more war. Further, the Guardian writes, other demonstrators soon joined in, voicing their unhappiness about rising living costs, including over fuel prices after U.S. bombing, in effect, caused the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. So over the summer, I went to Italy, and the anger among workers in Italy was very obvious. Their frustrations over the cost of fuel, very obvious. Honestly, they were kind of furious at Americans for starting this war against Iran, which is part of the reason why I
Starting point is 01:34:43 kind of didn't want to go on that trip, because I was worried about hostility. directed hostility toward me, to be fair. But I understand their rage. How could you not feel this rage? Especially when a foreign country decided to go to war on behalf of a different foreign country, and the entire global economy is suffering as a result of that. Yeah, this will start happening all over the world. 100%.
Starting point is 01:35:04 And so the South Koreans are pissed. A lot of people in India are super frustrated. Why? Because those are the places where the gas prices are hitting the hardest. And so, and I'm gonna tell you ahead. at time, what's going to happen, and how American media will try to deceive you about it so that you don't get deceived. So my guess is that all across the world, soon they'll be burning Israeli flags.
Starting point is 01:35:29 And when they are, our media will say, oh, you see that, the whole world is turned Muslim. The South Koreans are now Muslim, or Muslim lovers, right? And they just, and they'll tell you, oh yeah, the Indians, the South Koreans, the Brazilians, everyone is anti-Semitic. And that's why they're doing this. It's not because of the war, it's not because of fuel prices, even though that's what they're chanting in the streets. That's what every single person is reporting, they'll say, no, it's because they're
Starting point is 01:35:56 Muslim lovers and they're anti-Semites. And so they're destroying the West. No, the protesters are saying, you're destroying the West by constantly taking our money so we don't even have teachers and using it for Israel's wars, and now driving a fuel price. and all other prices, and we're deeply, deeply frustrated. And American media goes, so you mean the Muslim. So let's give him some of that. So actually, let's go to probably the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the anti-Muslim
Starting point is 01:36:31 propaganda. And that would be Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who wasted absolutely no time to exploit the situation for his own purposes. Let's take a look at what he had to say. Let me tell you, if we don't stop Hamas here, you'll see them on the streets of Paris. And that's exactly what is happening right now. I just really- That was Hamas. It's Hamas. Is that what it is?
Starting point is 01:36:55 The young Frenchmen were Hamas. I just, I mean, it's comical, right? It's totally comical. It's comical that President Trump endorsed that clown for reelection. Yeah. It's just disgusting, disgusting, absolutely disgusting. So what's amazing to me, and I want you guys to know, this, right? And you'll start to see it with your own eyes. You won't, you know, need us to break
Starting point is 01:37:16 it down every single time. So the minute Netanyahu says that, that is an Israeli talking point. Let's see if it echoed in America. Huh, let's go to Benny Johnson. I don't know how to pronounce this, to be honest. Limoges City Hall is in flames. These are the consequences of mass importing and destructive foreign culture. The enemy is inside the gates now, Francis Bernie. Good job, Benny. Good boy. Way to heal to your master. little bitch. Ted Cruz, France is burning, Paris is on fire. Radical protesters, communists, and Islamists are riding across the city.
Starting point is 01:37:52 What is happening in France is foreshadowing for America. Laura Lumer. It's time for the French police to use lethal force on the violent jihadist rioters. Enough is enough. If this happens in America, I fully expect our leaders to deploy the military to the streets of America to use lethal force. No one on X regularly. incites violence as often as Laura Loomer does with impunity.
Starting point is 01:38:17 And not even close. With impunity. And yet, Asa Piker, Assam Piker, Assam Piker, but no Laura Lumer and do you disassociate, disavow, you're connected to, what a weird coincidence. They seem to let all the pro-Israel propagandists threaten everybody's lives. Neeratandan has like literally retweeted her. That's unreal. Okay, and then finally we go to Trump. He says, now notice everyone using the same exact talking points. Francis Burning, the immigration of people from an entirely different world, people with hatred in their hearts, has shattered that once great country, close your borders and take control before it's too late. President Donald J. Trump.
Starting point is 01:38:56 I didn't know there was mass immigration from Israel into Paris. And turn on cable news now, and you will see one politician after another and one anchor after another talking about the Islamist, the jihadists, the Muslims in the streets, they're the ones doing this. to invert reality so that you support Israel and their next war that will drive up fuel prices even more and food prices even more. And then they'll say, no, no, no, it's not the French or the Italians by the way, or the Belgians. No, it's always the Muslims that are at fault. And that's what the real issue here is. You see, our mainstream media is not news. It is propaganda. And amazingly, it's propaganda for a different country.
Starting point is 01:39:41 All right, let's do one more story before we go to break. I want to talk about, well, something that brought a little bit of joy to my heart, which is seeing a member of the left and a libertarian get together, have a conversation, and endorse Abdul al-Said for the Senate seat in Michigan. Let's get into it. But for example, if I were in Michigan, no question my mind, I would vote for the Democrat, the doctor, I forget his name. Abdullah Syed.
Starting point is 01:40:10 I would encourage everybody in Michigan to do the same. I mean, Mike Rogers is a war-loving, spy-loving, constitution-hating two-bit thug, who has no right to be in the government. And even though I would probably disagree with El-Saiyad's vote on taxation and property, I would surely agree with him on war on civil liberties. That's interesting. And so that has kind of become, since that's such a life and death issues, I guess, that would explain why you would support him despite those other decisions. It does. It does, Katie. And, you know, I'm repulsed by what Trump has done in the Middle East, in Israel, in Iran, and in Europe, in Ukraine.
Starting point is 01:41:01 And I would encourage everybody to hold their noses, and vote for the Democrats because they'll, they're gonna try and push through a lot of legislation. We will find repellent, but they're gonna put a break on the authoritarian in the Oval Office. Oh, that warms my heart. That's the left and the right there, getting together and going, no more.
Starting point is 01:41:24 If you keep voting for these establishment guys, all you're gonna get is endless war. That's Judge Andrew Napolitano, who used to be on Fox News. That's the libertarian right wing, Katie Halper from the left. We've certainly had disagreements. We're actually with both of them at different times. Katie less so, but there was a moment there.
Starting point is 01:41:40 And with Napolitano, we've done many videos, you know, disagreeing with them pretty vehemently on economic issues. But I love that they're real patriots now who say, no, no, no, country above party and above these hacks who drive us into endless wars. We've got more on this for Manna. I gotta say, you know, the one development that gives me a little bit of hope for the future is that there is a growing faction on the right that is very much anti-war, so much so that members of this group are willing to endorse anti-war candidates on the left like Abdul al-Sayed. If you guys can recall, even Tucker Carlson in one of his podcast episodes was talking about the race and just excoriated Mike Rogers. who of course is the Republican running against Abdul al-Said. And he's right, I mean, Mike Rogers is an Israel first candidate. And make no mistake about it, that Senate race in Michigan is heating up as top Republicans
Starting point is 01:42:43 make a final push to campaign for the very deeply flawed Mike Rogers ahead of the November midterms. So J.D. Vance, for instance, the vice president campaigned in Monroe, Michigan last Thursday, and even held a town hall event on Saturday. Trump is planning on campaigning in Michigan this weekend. And polling does indicate that the race is pretty tight, although Abdul al-Said is slightly ahead by two points. I wanna focus a little bit though on what Vance and Trump,
Starting point is 01:43:15 along with the Republicans who want Mike Rogers to win, are leaning into. It's not about affordability issues, it's not an anti-war message, that's for sure. They've decided to lean into bigotry and name calling. Let's take a look. And then today, a guy sends me something. His name is actually Abdullah Sumphtadullah.
Starting point is 01:43:38 It's Abdullah, Papa, Papa, Muhammad, El-Sayette. So his middle name is Mohammed. So I was right, almost. By the way, how about that guy? He's a jihadist. He's a radical left person, hates our country. He's a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. How about putting him on the Senate
Starting point is 01:43:58 Intelligence Committee. Now my friends, this is why Abdul is obsessed, and I mean absolutely obsessed, with conflicts occurring thousands of miles away in the Middle East. He is obsessed with the state of Israel and with Gaza. He's 10 times more interested in what's happening in Palestine than in Port Huron. You deserve better than a little weasel who should shut his mouth and show a little gratitude to the country that gave him everything. I want to talk about obsessed with Israel, is it not your administration that decided to fight a war on Israel's behalf? Literally destroying the legacy of the administration, destroying the chances of the Republican party winning in the midterms.
Starting point is 01:44:46 Okay, and let's talk about Mike Rogers real quick, Jen, and then I'll toss over to you, because A PAC Super PAC has reentered Michigan's Senate race, US Senate race, spending nearly $100,000 on mailers attacking Abdulah Siam. despite earlier concerns by allies of his Republican opponent, Mike Rogers, that it would boost the Democratic nominee. But Mike Rogers is a moron. So it comes after Rogers publicly welcomed APAC support during a televised debate last week. Guess what, APAC is not popular with voters these days, not just Democratic voters, but also Republican voters. And I remember when the right used to make the
Starting point is 01:45:28 argument that name calling usually indicates that you've lost the debate. Like what was that? There was no argument made by Trump or Vance. Well, to be fair, there hasn't been any argument made in the whole election by the Mike Rogers side or mainstream media side. Their whole thing is he's Muslim, ha ha, we got him, he's Muslim. And they think that that's, you know, going to be effective politically. The Rogers camp and the Republicans do. But same with mainstream media, they're doing the same exact thing. In fact, later tonight at 8 o'clock during the revolution, I'm gonna do a whole segment about all the different media figures, New York Times, MS,
Starting point is 01:46:02 now and CNN all attacking Abdul al-Said with the same exact talking points at the same time. And so that goes to Vance's ironic statements there. He's like, Abdul is obsessed with Israel. No, Abdul's whole campaign is let's not be obsessed with Israel. Let's spend money here at home. Let's be obsessed with the people of Michigan. Let's give them health care. Let's give them better education.
Starting point is 01:46:25 Let's get them higher wages. And they're like, oh, so you're obsessed with Israel. He's like, no, I don't want to send our money over there to keep. kill kids over there, I want to spend the money to help kids here in Michigan. They're like, uh-huh, so it's about, no, you're the one giving all the money to Israel. You're the one obsessed with serving Israel, right? And so then the second part is, oh, you know, he comes over here and doesn't even even even appreciate the country. That's just a random immigrant swipe. The reality is, Abdul is
Starting point is 01:46:55 incredibly patriotic to the point of annoying Hassan. Okay, so Hassan Piker has said, the two guys were the most patriotic in on the left are me and Abdul al-Saeed. Yep, I totally believe it. And Abdul is a lot like me, man. We love this country. It's given us so much opportunity. Yeah, 100%. And so, and like me, Abdul is also not a socialist.
Starting point is 01:47:19 We're on the populist left, right? Saying we got to serve the American people. So they invert reality and say, oh, no, when they're all obsessed with serving the Israelis. Okay, so the reference that Anna made is to Tucker saying that he wouldn't vote for Mike Rogers at gunpoint. Now, here's an iceberg of a story that our media is ignoring. If Tucker Carlson's millions of, you know, viewers, along with Candace Owens and Judge Napolitano, and Joe Kent, MTG, Tom Massey, all those guys. And that is millions, tens of millions of Americans. If they forget voting for Abdul al-Said as Napolitano is saying,
Starting point is 01:48:05 you should actively, I cannot believe Judge Napolitano from Fox News is telling you to vote for a Muslim Democrat. It is amazing, right? You want to know why? Because he's a legitimate libertarian. Yes. He's a legitimate libertarian, anti-war libertarian. He looks at the two options. And here's the reality, okay?
Starting point is 01:48:24 Mike Rogers is gonna rob you. Okay, like, if you don't believe me, here are some headlines that you might not know about. Let's go to Graphic 3 here. This is from Michigan Democrats. Mike Rogers potentially double dipping from two taxpayer funded pensions despite $14.6 million net worth. I mean, okay, let's go to Detroit Metro Times. Mike Rogers attacks waste and fraud while taking money from donors linked to both. The donor records deepen the contrast between Rogers and Abdul al-Said on money and potential influence.
Starting point is 01:48:59 And by the way, while there's this concerted effort to focus on Abdul al-Said's identity as a Muslim, all he focuses on on the campaign trail is the affordability crisis and what he wants to do to help provide some relief to the people of Michigan. And one other thing I want to add, look, the allegations of the Muslim Brotherhood thing, it's so disgusting and so sick because there's no evidence of it whatsoever. When we come back from this video, Jank will explain to you where the allegation comes from. But I want to first go to this video where he does, I think, a master class in response to a pretty bigoted question. Take a look. I have one simple question. Will you disavow the Muslim?
Starting point is 01:49:45 Sure. Yeah, absolutely. But I want to ask to the question that you're asking. Why are you asking the question? Well, because they're a terrorist group. Okay. No, no, but what are you implying? Let me just tell you. I'm going to swear an oath to the Constitution of the United States.
Starting point is 01:50:00 And that Constitution guarantees us all. The right of the practice, whatever faith we want, don't make it all. And now, you assume, Tommy, that because I am Muslim, that somehow I would have some allegiance. to something that is not our Constitution. That's your assumption. That's implicit in the question. You know, it's important, I think,
Starting point is 01:50:35 because you would ask this question in a way that suggests that somehow our Constitution shouldn't be the thing that all of us bear allegiance to. And I'm just telling me that for me, that Constitution is the guy in life.
Starting point is 01:50:54 It guarantees me. the right to pray as I choose to pray, we're not pray at all. Do you disavow any attempt to read any religious doctrine into the laws of our country? I'm not. You don't disavow that. So I think it's you who needs to understand the Constitution. Okay, so I'm going to pull up graphic three guys from the revolution that I'm going to do later, because later I'm going to do a segment on how all of cable news, including the supposedly left,
Starting point is 01:51:27 channels are attacking him at once using the same talking points. All of them deeply bigoted talking points about, well, he is Muslim. So he could be part of the Muslim Brotherhood. And people from the New York Times, MS now, CNN, it's really gross. And I'm not even talking about the old stuff, I'm just going to bring you stuff from the last two to three days. So it is incessant. So if you have heard, oh, I heard something about him and Muslim Brotherhood or whatever, or any other jihad. other jihadists, terrorism, etc. That is mainstream media planting that thought in your head.
Starting point is 01:52:02 Well, to be fair, they must have a little bit strand of evidence, right? Because, I mean, they wouldn't do this against the Muslim candidate just because he's Muslim. I mean, is everyone in media that bigoted? Well, they searched, they searched and searched. In fact, today there's an article, great one from Semaphore about Barry Weiss ordering CBS reporters to dig in even deeper, find every nook and cranny to attack Abdul al-Said, and specifically on the issue of whether he's connected to Muslim Brotherhood or any form of terrorism, just because he's Muslim, right?
Starting point is 01:52:35 So, and after they dug-and-dug, they couldn't find anything except this. And I'm gonna share it with you, because it's literally the only piece of evidence, and because it's hilarious. Okay, so this is from Semaphore. In 2012, Abdul al-Said's half-sister, Amon Abdul-Hadi, described, quote,
Starting point is 01:52:53 an amazing talk with my mom about her activism in the Muslim Brotherhood during the early 70s. Wow, that seems like the deal. Okay, wait, it gets better. So Abdul's biological mom did not raise him. So they got divorced at the age of three. Abdul got raised by his dad and his stepmom in America while his mom was in Egypt. He has no idea what his mom was thinking or saying when he was growing up, let alone in the 1970s before he was even born. But Jake, don't you know that with Israel now being our actual government, we believe in blood guilt. So even though he had nothing to do with it and had no relationship with his mother, guilty. Think about it. Yes, I mean, that is the thinnest strand I have ever seen.
Starting point is 01:53:46 And all media goes, good enough since we all despise Muslims and all love Israel. Let's attack and attack and accuse him of that 2,000 times over. Now back to Mike Rogers. So this, talk about robbing us in favor of data centers got caught with his hand on the cookie jar. In favor of the AI guys, the crypto guys, in favor of big pharma, he voted repeatedly to make sure we cannot negotiate drug prices. Now another irony is, you know, Abdul al-Said, DSA, socialists, but he's not in DSA, he's not a socialist.
Starting point is 01:54:17 He's not a socialist. On the other hand, Mike Rogers literally killed. the free markets in America, the essence of a free market is negotiating prices, supply and demand. And he's like, no, we shouldn't be allowed to do that. We get the American people to pay whatever price the drug companies want. Why? Because they gave him tons of money. Why does he support Israel?
Starting point is 01:54:38 And now he says unconditionally, why? Because they give him tons of money. This is not complicated. If our media wasn't in the job of deceiving you, you would all know this. We would know that all these politicians, and by the way, Republicans and Democrats taking money from all of these lobbies, they take millions from these lobbies and give them billions. It's the easiest puzzle in the world to solve.
Starting point is 01:55:01 Yet every national media reporter goes, golly, gee, I just don't know how to follow the money, right? So no, that's why Napolitano, Tucker Carlson, and so many on the right are saying, guys, if you vote for them, you're gonna get the same all robbery. And you're gonna get the same endless wars. We can't end the wars because we never elect someone who's a, against war. Abdul al-Said is against the wars and no one disputes that, right?
Starting point is 01:55:26 He will definitely vote against a war in the Middle East for any reason for any country. And by the way, he's also against the funding of foreign nations. He says, not only should we take the money away from Israel, we should take the money away from Egypt where his family is originally from, okay? Oh, I jump in it. Right, and Mike Rogers goes, no, we have to give it to Egypt because they're allies with Israel, and we have to give it to Israel, and we have to give it to everyone but the people at Michigan. We have to give it to all my donors and never to you guys. So if you actually
Starting point is 01:55:55 knew the truth about Mike Rogers, this would be the easiest vote in the world. Why don't you know it? Because the right knows it and the left knows it. The only people who don't know it are people who watch mainstream media because it's not a news operation. It's a propaganda operation. Yeah, don't mix up your Rogers, okay? It's not a beautiful day in the neighborhood with that guy. Yeah. Oh, and last thing, guys, the last thing that the mainstream media is doing that's a problem here is their burying voter turnout as an issue. It's a It's okay, after the election you're gonna see. I think that Tucker, Napolitano, and the others are gonna cost candidates like Mike Rogers
Starting point is 01:56:28 10 to 20 points in voter turnout. Not in the overall results, but in voter turnout. And that'll make a difference at least two to five points, which is gigantic. The reason why they're not talking about that iceberg in politics is because if you talked about it, then people might go, oh, why is Tucker and Napolitano opposed? because the Rogers is for endless war and serving Israel unconditionally. We don't want anybody finding that out. Okay, too late, we already know.
Starting point is 01:56:58 Thank you to Taylor Ellis, my senior producer, for acknowledging my joke and saying that it was good. We now move on to Ukraine. Jack, take it away. All right, yes. So Putin has suggested something interesting. He's like, why don't we do peace negotiations about Ukraine without Ukraine? Why don't we get China, U.S. and Russia together and figure out how to carve up Ukraine? And Trump's like, what a great idea.
Starting point is 01:57:26 No, that's not true. We don't know yet. Okay. He hasn't agreed to this meeting yet. Uh-huh. He might. Well, certainly Putin is, first of all, fair, Anna. Yeah, come on, we can't be misinforming people.
Starting point is 01:57:38 Fair, fair, fair, fair. But the reason I said that is because. He's going to do it eventually. Well, for sure. But I should frame that as a prediction and not say he's done it. Correct. So we do, we care deeply about what's right and right. But the reason I get carried away in that moment and say that is because Trump has been pushing
Starting point is 01:57:55 in this direction, because Trump has been saying Zelensky is wrong. And Zelensky better agree to what the Russians want, otherwise, you know, we might withdraw support. So that's why I jumped the gun there and said, it looks like, you know, this is the type of thing Trump would agree to. Look, I think the ship has sailed on the US providing aid to Ukraine. And as much as, I don't want to frame this out. as I agree with Trump.
Starting point is 01:58:22 Put that aside entirely. But the fact of the matter is, if you are realistic about what's happening on the ground in Ukraine, Zelensky is losing the war, has been losing the war, we've been lied to in our media about it. And the fact of the matter is, this war should have ended a long time ago. But with Zelensky refusing to give up any territory, holding on to hope that he could potentially defeat Russia, he has only lost more and more territory. With this point, either you take a deal or Ukraine is done for.
Starting point is 01:58:54 And I'll make my case on that in just a minute. But first, let me give you more details about this proposed meeting. So Putin did float this idea during an October 9th phone call with Trump. That happened to be the same phone call in which they made a deal in which Russia would be exporting diesel fuel to both the United States and the broader global economy. There is a shortage of diesel fuel as a result of refineries being destroyed. in the Gulf in this war against Iran, of course. That's the bigger issue.
Starting point is 01:59:25 But Trump doesn't want to focus on that. So he's focusing on Ukraine striking Russian refineries. Russian refinery capacity has actually been depleted by as much as 50% at this point. And by the way, when it comes to the diesel fuel that Russia is going to be exporting, there's good reason to believe that that diesel fuel is coming from Iran. So there's that. Now the Kremlin has suggested holding Trump. bilateral dialogue on the sidelines of this coming Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation
Starting point is 01:59:56 Summit, which is supposed to take place on November 18th and 19th in China. And the Chinese side has indicated that, you know what, if Trump signs onto this, we wouldn't object and why? Why would China want to do that? Well, Yun-sun, who's the director of the China program at the Washington-based think tank known as Stimson Center, said that China wants to be seen as. the pivot of the great powers and potentially a mediator between the United States and Russia. And that is true. Russia has, I'm sorry, China has tried to position itself as the adults
Starting point is 02:00:31 in the room, which is not a good sign for the United States because we are not the adults in the room right now with the way that we're behaving with foreign policy. But it doesn't look like Trump has signed on to this yet. He could potentially in the future, but there's no indication yet that Trump has agreed to it. Now Ukraine is understandably furious. is enraged about this. Ukraine's foreign minister rejected the idea of a peace summit without Kiev, saying that it would encourage Putin to continue his war. As long as he continues this terror, there should be no place for him at any table.
Starting point is 02:01:05 Now Ukraine's fury is only growing after Trump halted sanctions against Russia, which Congress had imposed under a bipartisan bill just last month. But the fact of the matter is Trump needs cheaper diesel and Russia has promised to supply it. At the same time, Trump is growing increasingly agitated with Zelensky for continuing the drone strikes against Russian refineries. Trump has said multiple times, asked him multiple times not to do it, he continues to do it. So in a post on truth social over the weekend on Sunday, Trump took aim at Zelenskyy following Ukraine strike on an oil terminal in Putin's hometown of St. Petersburg earlier in the day.
Starting point is 02:01:44 He accused the Ukrainian leader of targeting Russian diesel refineries and said he doesn't want to end this war and probably never did. And if you're wondering, well, how is the war actually going? There's a lot of information that doesn't actually get reported in Western media. And we should talk about the very real demographic crisis in Ukraine as a result of this war. Let's go to this next video. There are just countless reports that say, and these are reports to come from the Ukrainian side more so than from the Russian side, that Ukraine does not
Starting point is 02:02:18 does not have the manpower to thickly populate the forward edge of the battle area. So that there are big holes or gaps in the front lines that the Russians are taking advantage of. And given the draft dodging problem that the Ukrainians have and the AWOL problem that the Ukrainians have, there's no way they're going to find the manpower to fill up the ranks on the front lines and thickly populated. the forward edge of the battle area. It's not going to happen. And then you marry that to the fact, as you said that when you look at the balance of artillery, you look at who has glide bombs and who doesn't have glide bombs and so forth and so on. It's just hard to imagine that the Ukrainians can win this war upon the battlefield. The size of the Ukrainian population today is half of what it was when Ukraine got its independence. in 1991. Half of the existing population, the 20 to 25 million people that still exist in Ukraine, half of those people are of retirement age. You're not hearing that in Western media. You're hearing that, oh, Ukraine's drones are so amazing that, you know, they're now winning the
Starting point is 02:03:41 war and they're taking back territory. It's giving a false sense of hope in order to continue support for war in which Ukraine is being decimated. Yeah, so the Ukraine issue has always been complicated because we did needlessly antagonize Russia, but Russia should have never invaded in the first place. And we did ask the Ukrainians to take out their nuclear missiles, so we did owe them some degree of defense. But now, and in this case, they should not cut the Ukrainians out of negotiations. But the reason you go to China is because China has the leverage that other,
Starting point is 02:04:16 other peacemakers don't. They have so much leverage when it comes to Russia and America and Ukraine that they could kind of force a peace agreement if they cared enough about it. And by the way, they might not. They might think, hey, this is great. The Russians and the Americans are totally wasting all of their resources here and making us stronger by needlessly engaging in the two sides of this war and the weaponization of this war.
Starting point is 02:04:40 And now my view of the war guys is that while it made sense in the beginning to help the Ukrainians for the reasons I just stated, this war is over, the Ukraine is lost. And so you could say, oh no, that hurts my feelings. I don't want Ukraine to lose. I agree, I don't want Ukraine to lose. It drives me crazy that Russia may be able to keep some of their ill-gotten gains from their invasion. And so at the same time, I've seen what happened to the Palestinians.
Starting point is 02:05:08 So once you're on the losing end of that leverage, it never gets better. It just your situation deteriorates and gets worse and worse and worse. You lose more and more land, more and more territory, more and more power, and then you have to make a worse deal, right? So as painful as it is, and you sometimes have to take the best option out of very bad options. So if I'm advising the Ukrainies, let alone America and keep on the issue of financing the war so forever apparently, right?
Starting point is 02:05:40 I would tell the Ukrainians, get to the negotiating table. make as good a deal as you possibly can and then look to rebuild your own country. And eventually these borders will be meaningless at some point anyway. So don't stop losing these lives. You have a country and please maintain as much of it as you can today. Because the Russians have so many more people, let alone weapons, let alone resources. Ukraine's not going to be able to win this war, no matter how much, we finance it. Yes, part of the mission for the Americans was to bleed the Russians dry,
Starting point is 02:06:18 but now we're bleeding ourselves dry. 100%. So let's end the war, get to peace, and save lives on both sides. Agreed. All right. Now, when we come back, I'm going to give you that incredible report about how the entire media has decided to gang up on Abdullah al-Said, and I'll give you the receipts. And then at 8.30 p.m. tonight, I'm interviewing Anthony Scramucci right here. So if you want to hear you. the mooch, some call him, and especially in the context of his record having been broken, stick around because that's coming up next as well. We'll be right back.
Starting point is 02:09:57 Revolution, I'm your host, Jenh, Huger. So today we want to show you what's wrong with American media, because that is what's driving a lot of our problems because the media keeps hiding the fact that the number one problem is corruption. Money in politics is destroying this country, it's a cancer, and that has led to a bunch of lobbies taking over our government, big pharma, big oil, and certainly A-PAC in the Israeli lobby. And of course, that's where they get the most emotional, because a lot of mainstream media works for Israel.
Starting point is 02:10:27 Now, that sounds like in the old days you want to thought that's kind of an outrageous comment. You know, is that a trope or something? Well, as it turns out, no, it's quite literal. In this case, for example, Larry Ellison, the largest donor to the IDF in history, the Israeli defense forces, he just gives them money as charity. has bought CBS, CNN, and TikTok. Now they had already bought CBS earlier and they've imposed Barry Weiss as the editor-in-chief who's in charge of all the news of CBS.
Starting point is 02:10:59 Well, Semaphore, a different publication, now has a story about how Barry Weiss is trying to make sure to hurt Abdul El-Said's chances of winning by ordering her reporters to dig in to see if they could prove any link to terrorism. Now why would they do that about Abdul al-Said, but not about Mike Rogers? And I'm sure a lot of people will say, why that's outrageous? What do you mean? Why would they look into Mike Rogers? Well, why would they look into Abdul-Said?
Starting point is 02:11:28 Oh, right, because he's Muslim. Now I'm gonna show you in this story what they found, and it's kind of hilarious that they're basing all of this on the thinnest read in the history of politics. It actually goes to their intent. First, let me tell you about Semaphore's reporting on CBS, then I'm going to show your clips from CNN and MS now and show you that all of this is coordinated, all of it against Abdul al-Said, all of it with deceptive framing, and all from the objective reporters in American media. So, Max Taney writes, in recent weeks, Barry Weiss has personally advocated for CBS news journalists to pursue numerous story angles related to El-Said's supposed. its sympathy towards the Muslim Brotherhood and was directly involved in a controversial story about his previous posts comparing the COVID-19 death toll to 9-11.
Starting point is 02:12:21 She has discussed the topic on editorial calls and tasked CBS News investigative unit with combing through El-Said's background for a potential link to the organization. So there's something very important there. So Max Taney for Semaphore is explaining it's not like they got something in They have a piece of evidence that he's connected to the Muslim Brotherhood or any other terrorist organization or or radical organization or anything along those lines at all. She's telling them go dig. And in fact, I want you to dig more and more and more.
Starting point is 02:12:57 And even if you don't come up with anything new, let's hit him anyway. Let's do a story about it even though we have no new evidence. Well, is that hyperbole? No. Listen to what Tanny reports next. The network's investigative team is set to publish a story in the coming days on the site. subject, though two people familiar with the reporting said that as of Sunday afternoon, it is unclear whether the story will include new revelations, which means, no, we have no
Starting point is 02:13:24 new news, we're just gonna recycle the old news and pretend it's a new scandal and controversy about Abdul Saeed. Does that sound objective to you? And did Barry Weiss ask them to do a similar digging process, investigative process, On his opponent, Mike Rogers. No, of course not. Mike Rogers supports Israel and he has said on the record that he supports them unconditionally. So there'll be no investigations of Mike Rogers.
Starting point is 02:13:53 There'll be no digging. On Abdul, they've already dug all the way to the middle of the earth. They tried to find any connections to any group, even loosely associated with terrorism or even being radical in one shape way or another, right? And they got Bubkus. At the end of that well, they found the smallest little thing, as you're going to see, it's kind of hilarious. So what is all this connection is the Muslim Brotherhood based on? This one quote, Attani reports, in 2012, Abdul El-Said's half-sister, Amon Abdul-Abdil Hadi, described, quote,
Starting point is 02:14:32 an amazing talk with my mom about her activism in the Muslim Brotherhood during the early 70s. First of all, Abdul al-Sahid wasn't even born in the 70s. Second of all, his biological mom didn't raise him, his stepmom did. So he has no earthly idea what his biological mom was thinking in the 1970s, what he wasn't even alive. So a half sister said something 14 years ago about something that a mom that didn't raise him said before he was born. And all of American media goes, ladies and gentlemen.
Starting point is 02:15:08 We got him, did you? Or are you a bigot? And you think, well, I wanna smear him because he's Muslim. And I'll take the most nonsensical shrapnel of data, and I'll pretend it's a big deal. And I'll ask him about it in every single interview. Hassan Paiqar, Muslim Brotherhood, Muslim Brotherhood. Mike Rogers is running a whole campaign on smearing him because he's Muslim. And he keeps inferring that he's connected to terrorism.
Starting point is 02:15:36 And a thousand ways, in fact, I'm gonna show you one. in a second and our press doesn't push back at all. Our press then takes Mike Rogers. So not only do they not investigate Mike Rogers, they take Mike Rogers' number one talking point and help them with it by attacking Abdullah Syed nonstop. And it's not just CBS as you're gonna see in a minute. But Max Taney did a really good job of reporting here. I'm a little bit shocked that mainstream media outlet like seven before did an accurate and
Starting point is 02:16:07 objective story here, but he explains when Weiss took over CBS news, her history as the New York Times anti-woke columnist combined with owner David Ellison's overt suggestions to President Donald Trump that he would change the network of federal regulators approved his corporate deals, stoked fear that the network would be refashioned in an aggressively pro-drump direction. The network has not become a mouthpiece for Trump, and he explained why, and he's right. Still, if the new CBS is managing to hold the center in Washington, there's been a far more dramatic shift in its coverage of Israel and Gaza. Now, that takes courage to write that.
Starting point is 02:16:47 That is 100% true, but historically in American media, you can't say things like that. But the reality, as Taney and 74 are now reporting is, yeah, they're just like I told you last week. I mean, almost word for word. It's not that they are going in a more right wing direction. And remember, Larry Ellison has given money to Bill Clinton and the Democrats before he gave money to Trump and the Republicans. Miriam Maidelson gave money to Bill Clinton and the Democrats before she gave money to the Republicans. It is true of almost every pro-Zionist, pro-Israel donor in the country. They give to Democrats and Republicans, they don't care.
Starting point is 02:17:27 The only thing they care about is will you serve Israel? of Israel. And Larry Ellison is the most radical Zionist there is maybe in the country, and he's now taken over this news operation. So his handpicked hatchet person in this case is basically as now others in the media are noticing and acknowledging not really concerned about left or right. Their bias is in the direction of Israel. So it's an amazing day in American media when they're beginning to acknowledge what
Starting point is 02:18:00 was super obvious to the rest of us, but there was a blockade on the truth in media, so credit to semaphore on this. And then Tanny went on to say, another fact that it's almost never mentioned, and I'm giving him a huge credit for it, he said, Weiss is not alone among the major network figures in our interest in Al-Said's supposed ties the Muslim Brotherhood. NBC news journalists have also pressed Al-Said unalleged familial connections. And so of CNN, so has MS Now. Now we've covered some of that in the past and they do it again and again, and they do it
Starting point is 02:18:36 on all three cable networks, the ones that are supposed to disagree, Fox News, MS Now, and CNN. But I do want to show you that Max Haney is right, just even since he's written this. Over the last couple of days, there's been a couple of instances of it that pile on to the other mountain of evidence that all the networks and all the mainstream media guys are doing this. So I saw a headline about how Dana Bash had held Mike Rogers to account on CNN when he was attacking El Saeed on all of this. And I was like, whoa, okay, maybe she's trying to cover herself because she's been so massively
Starting point is 02:19:16 pro-Israel and so opposed to caring about Palestinian lives or Muslim lives. So I was like, all right, well, let's look at it. And you know, we like to think that we're the fairest show in the country. And hence, and we try to prove it by, and we just did it was seven or four. Whenever mainstream media does a good story, we don't bash them just because they're mainstream media. No, we give credit where credit is due. So I was actually ready to give Dan and bash some credit.
Starting point is 02:19:40 Then I watched it and I was like, oh my God. So she pushed back to be fair on President Trump calling El Saida jihadist. And she asked Mike Ross. Rogers, you know, does he agree with that? So, you know, I don't think she pushed back very much in the beginning, but I'll give her credit for that. At least she's challenging him on it a little bit. And he was, you know, acted all offended and he's like, oh, you're just defending Abdul.
Starting point is 02:20:07 Ha ha ha, ha. That's a bash and mainstream media defending Abdul Osai. That's hilarious. Because as you're about to see, in the second half of the interview, she just let him run. She let him do every allegation in the book and it turned into this giant segment bashing the living hell out of Abdullah al-Said with no pushback at all from Danabash. So you can see it with your own eyes here. She gives him a softball question on Abdullah Said and accusing him of being associated with
Starting point is 02:20:38 these radical groups. The softball question she said was, why? Why do you say this? Which then allows him to say it all over again. There was no follow up on any of this. Dana Bash did not correct him on any of this. Watch. It's an ideology.
Starting point is 02:20:55 It's not about him being a Muslim. Remember for that Muslims here in the state call our office a lot and say we're terrified that a guy with this ideology goes to the United States Senate. I mean, this is coming from Muslims in Michigan, let alone the five countries that banned the Muslim Brotherhood. He can't get away from it. His money comes from a group called. care, the Council for American Islamic Relations that supports the Muslim Brotherhood.
Starting point is 02:21:25 He has money coming from these groups. And if you listen to that, that's not a, he didn't disavow it. He didn't say no. He didn't say it worries me that they treat women differently under the Muslim Brotherhood's view of Sharia law. He didn't say any of that. He didn't, because he won't and he can't, matter of fact, it's the only thing he hasn't changed his opinion on in this election. So as I just showed you, there's no real tangible evidence connecting Abdul El-Said himself to Muslim Brotherhood in any way, share of form. And he has actively denounced the Muslim Brotherhood very, very clearly. So, but I'll give Dan Abrauss a pass on that one because she ran a clip of Abdul al-Aid earlier, and he denounced them in this clip, which Mike Rogers just
Starting point is 02:22:14 bulldozed over. But then the other two things. So number one, he says Muslims in Michigan are really worried about Abdul al-Said being a terrorist. What an outrageous, totally made up fact. Really? What evidence do you have of that? Do you have any polling showing that Muslims in Michigan are more likely to vote for Mike Rogers? I mean, this is an absolutely preposterous talking point. There's no evidence of it whatsoever.
Starting point is 02:22:43 In fact, I've talked to many Muslims in Michigan who are Republicans. Republicans, because there were plenty of those before, who are now, of course, going to vote against Mike Rogers, because Mike Rogers has said he will serve Israel unconditionally. He hasn't said that he'll serve Michigan voters unconditionally, only Israel, right? So, but then the biggest one was about the attack on care. Care is the biggest Muslim civil rights organization in America. That's like attacking, I mean, I'm gonna be unfair to care by comparing them to ADL, because ADL pretends to be a civil rights organization.
Starting point is 02:23:18 They're really a propaganda outlet for Israel in this country. They don't try to protect Jewish Americans, they try to protect their hard right wing radical Zionists of Israel. And so we've talked about that before. But if you were gonna grant to ADL being a civil rights organization, and if he had said that or any politician had said that about ADL, you know, they're just connected to terrorists. Dana Bash would have gone nuts and every cable news anchor would have gone nuts. He smears care as tied to Muslim Brotherhood an outrageously false charge as she didn't push back
Starting point is 02:23:51 at all. She didn't correct them, she didn't correct any of that. So what did that turn into? A giant segment bashing Abdul al-Said posing as a segment challenging Mike Rogers. And then he went on a long screed after that portion was over about how black voters in Michigan are really upset at Abdul al-Said. They can't vote, wait to vote for a Republican like him. Again, no pushback from Dana Bash when that is patently absurd, utterly made up.
Starting point is 02:24:25 And what is it? Do you guys remember what that sounds like? Oh, right. Wasn't there an MS. Now panel of voters in Michigan, we showed you last week at the beginning of last week, where they picked 10 black voters who are Democratic voters who are against Abdullah Al-Said, even though 76% there is real polling on it. 76% of African-Americans are gonna vote for Abdul-A-A-A-Aid at a minimum.
Starting point is 02:24:49 There's polling on that, but they went out of their way to find 10 who are not sure yet, and they found 10 Democratic Jewish voters, and they did a giant segment about, ah, you see the black voters and the Jewish voters in Michigan, they're very concerned about Abdul al-Said, very concerned. Now that's on the left-wing cable news channel, and here comes Mike Rogers on CNN. And then doing the same exact talking point. All the black voters are very concerned about Abdul Saeed. And then what else did he say?
Starting point is 02:25:20 Watch this. So you start taking Jewish Democrats who are coming out. The former chairman of the Democrat Party came out opposed to Abdul Saeed, the Democrat Party. Nobody's talking about all of this. It's a real seismic shift. Nobody's talking about this. That's all anybody's talking about. They won't stop talking about all the Jewish voters and Michigan have been betrayed.
Starting point is 02:25:44 Oh my God, he's gonna lose the election. He remember, he's a Muslim and he's a jihadist and he hates Jewish people and black people, who I don't know, we're making things up, and you know what, and Filipinos. And no pushback at all. So the same exact talking point that was on MS now, now Mike Rogers says it on CNN with no pushback. Then we go to MS now back to them again, and guess what? They're doing the same exact talking point. What a coincidence.
Starting point is 02:26:12 Then I'm gonna give you the real numbers on the percentages of the voters here. You're gonna get to see reality. But first, Scarborough has Jeremy Peters on from the New York Times. And the New York Times like, oh God, we're doing bigoted Muslim bashing. We don't wanna miss out on this. Okay, now we're gonna help pretend that he's really anti-Semitic and he can't win this election if he doesn't back Israel. So let's see, is that really what happened?
Starting point is 02:26:37 All right, well, let's hear it. Jeremy Peters explain, oh, the concern of Jewish voters in Michigan. That's the same talking point, isn't it? Let's watch. One of the factors in this race that is really worth paying closer attention to are the number of Democrats, lifelong Jewish Democrats, especially in the Detroit suburbs, who are saying for the first time in their lives, they're voting Republican, that's a big deal. I don't know of any other marquee race in the country right now where the Republican candidate is converting Democrats.
Starting point is 02:27:13 I mean, given the overall environment for Trump. Oh, that's a big deal. Remember, Abdul al-Said problematic because Jewish voters who love Israel, and by the way, not the Jewish voters who don't don't love Israel's genocide, which by the way is the majority, 61% of Jewish Americans are opposed to say that Israel's committing war crimes. Yet, that's weird. None of them ever mentioned that. They pretended that all Jews are the same, they vote as a block, there was no distinctions
Starting point is 02:27:45 about a Jewish voter supporting Abdul al-Said, which is already on the record, they already voted in the primary. There's no mention that Netanyahu is deeply unpopular and that Mamdani, for example, is much more popular with Jewish Americans than Netanyahu is. Instead, they're hiding behind Jewish civilians and making things up. I'm gonna show you one more from Peters here. But before I go to that, remember, there's a lot of Muslims in Michigan too, and a lot of Muslim Republicans, as I just told you, are switching over to vote for Abdul al-Said.
Starting point is 02:28:17 The number of times that's mentioned by Peters or Joe Scarborough or Dana Bash or anyone on cable news is zero, zero. Other Muslim voters are irrelevant. Shut up, shut up about Muslim voters. Now the most important thing is Jewish voters. It's a weird obsession they have. Why are we dividing people based on religion and then telling you that one is way more important than the other?
Starting point is 02:28:41 But he says it's so important and remember, the polling is wrong. That is a weird thing to set up before the election, especially by a New York Times reporter, especially on the left wing channel, the left wing channel. So watch. There's a lot of money going into court those voters to get them to turn out because they're They're obviously not going to be incredibly motivated to pull the lever, as it were, for a Republican candidate. But what's interesting is the polling may not be picking that up, because polling, there's
Starting point is 02:29:15 been a lot of concern that some of the polls in Michigan are oversampling college-educated voters, which would overstate El Saeed's support. But people also, from what I'm hearing, are somewhat reluctant to tell a pollster that they're going to be voting for a Republican for the first time. their lives. From what I'm hearing. So I'm a New York Times reporter, I brought you no evidence at all. I just told you all my opinions disguised as journalism.
Starting point is 02:29:47 I'm hearing that people aren't answering the polls. Why? Why aren't they? I mean, if in my experience with radical Zionists, that's the first thing they'll tell you. Oh, I'm voting against Abdullah al-Said. He betrayed Israel. They're not shy about it at all. don't take that and say, not say, the polls are wrong. But Peters, a reporter from the New York
Starting point is 02:30:09 Times telling you don't trust the polls. Abdul al-Said can't win, can won't win. That Muslim, I mean, I mean, I'm so concerned about Jewish voters. Are you? Because is that an objective thing that you're delivering to the American people in terms of your analysis of the race and what will have the biggest impact? So let's take a look at the numbers. What are the percentage? I mean, because if Michigan is, for example, like 23% Jewish, you say, well, okay, that could definitely affect the vote. It's not the majority, but that's a massive number, right? Or if there are like four times as many Jewish voters in Michigan as Muslim voters, well, okay,
Starting point is 02:30:46 now I could see the relevance in terms of the vote because, you know, one demographic is larger than the other and if they vote in a certain direction. So let's look at the actual numbers, let's do some real journalism. of Michigan voters who are Jewish, 1.29%. 1.29%. Percentage of Michigan voters who are Muslim, 2.4%. Nearly twice as many Muslims as Jewish voters in Michigan. And how many segments have they done on Muslims slipping over to support El Saeed over Mike
Starting point is 02:31:20 Rogers? How many segments have they done about the Muslim community being offended that Mike Rogers says he's going to support Israel's genocide unconditionally. Oh, right, none. What a weird coincidence. They just couldn't find a story about Mike Rogers that is in any way, shape, or form negative or even challenging. They couldn't find a single voter who switched over to vote against Mike Rogers, even though,
Starting point is 02:31:47 by the way, Tucker Carlson, Judge Napolitano, and so many others that are on the right and that have millions of viewers are all saying, don't vote for them. for Mike Rogers. Tucker Carlson said, I wouldn't vote for him at gunpoint. Napolitano said, forget not voting for Mike Rogers, you should go vote for El Saeed. He used to be on Fox News. And yet, on mainstream media, on cable news, like right wingers voting for Abdul Al-Said, I never heard of it, I'm never gonna talk about it.
Starting point is 02:32:17 It might encourage more people to do it. What if Abdul al-Said won, say the objective reporters? Guys, do you see now, this is how consent is manufactured. This is how propaganda works. So they're not trying to give you the news. They're trying to make sure Abdul al-Said loses. And why do they care so much? Because he's trying to do Medicare for all and give healthcare to everybody in Michigan?
Starting point is 02:32:44 No. Because he's trying to increase wages in Michigan? No, because he's against data centers and the crypto bros, no. No, they're opposed to Abdul-El-Syiky. because he says he won't unconditionally fund Israel. And people who at work in mainstream media universally love and worship Israel. That's why they're almost never critical of them. That's why they bash any politician who's opposed to Israel.
Starting point is 02:33:12 And yes, they're enormous bigots. And that includes every single person that was featured in this story, including Jeremy Peters, Scarborough and the others. Oh yeah, oh Muslim, we should talk about Muslim brother and how he's driving away Jewish voters and he's a Muslim. Did you know that? Oh yeah, Muslim, Muslim, Muslim. I mean, this is worse than Jesse Helms. This is worse than anything I've ever seen in American politics because all of the channels, not just Mike Rogers, the opponent.
Starting point is 02:33:40 Mike Rogers, every single answer in the debate was, yeah, he's Muslim. Look, brother, what do you think about data centers? The people in Michigan are really worried about it. He's like, yeah, data centers. I mean, I love him and I got money from them and they're my donors. That's why I was totally in favor of them, but I got caught. So I'm slightly, I'm gonna pretend that I'm slightly worried about the data centers very, very late in the game.
Starting point is 02:33:58 But most importantly, Abdul's Muslim, Muslim terrorists, jihadist, Muslim terrorists, etc. Okay, I get it. Mike Rogers is running a pathetic campaign based purely on bigotry, and I don't think it's going to work. That's not the amazing part. I've seen campaigns like that before. This is more worse than any that I've ever seen from a mainstream Republican candidate, even among the Republicans. But that's not the fascinating part.
Starting point is 02:34:24 The fascinating part is how every single cable news channel and every mainstream media outlet is taking Mike Rogers talking point, pretending it's real and having debates about it. So you hear that same thing over. Abdullah al-Sahid, Muslim-Brother. Abdul-Said Muslim-brothered. So they could drill it into your head, but to have plausible deniability. Well, I challenge Mike Rogers slightly on one of the lies that he said. Well, we didn't say that he's a terrorist just because he's Muslim, we just implied it.
Starting point is 02:34:56 We didn't say that he's anti-Semitic, we just said the smallest demographic in Michigan, some portion of them are mad at him because he won't back a gent site, but they didn't even say that. They're just implied that he's anti-Semitic and it was gonna cost him the election because they're bigots and they hate the idea of a Muslim winning, but much more importantly, to be fair to them, they also did it to Grant Platner. They hate any American who would oppose Israel. And they just proved it spectacularly, and you just saw it with your own eyes.
Starting point is 02:35:31 All right, guys, if Abdul still wins, it's going to be amazing. And then they'll tell you, not a big deal, not a big deal, it doesn't mean anything, you shouldn't take funding away from Israel, don't listen to him. He's just a small part of the Democratic senators, and he won't really have much of an effective all, but please don't take funding away from our beloved Israel. We're objective reporters, are you? Okay, we're gonna take a quick break here. When we come back, Anthony Scramucci joins us to talk about, among other things, Katie
Starting point is 02:36:04 Zacharia and how she broke his record. Is he upset about it? We'll find out. Welcome to the conversation. We're gonna be joined by an old friend here, Anthony Scromucci. He was the communications director for Donald Trump for about 10 to 11 days. He recently had his heart broken. broken because his record was broken.
Starting point is 02:41:28 There was somebody who was fired quicker than him. I don't know if the Scramucci is still a measuring unit because of that, but let's find out. Anthony, welcome back to the show. I was expecting a lot more sympathy from somebody like you. But no, I'm not getting it. And by the way, I thought she blew by me like an Olympic athlete. I mean, I never seen somebody move in and move out so quickly. Indeed, indeed. So for you, it was about 10 or 11 days. For her, it was about five days. So are you a little heartbroken about that? Because I mean, your name was literally like a measuring unit in Washington. I don't know if they're going to move to a Zacharia now.
Starting point is 02:42:12 I think, I think listen to probably move into a Zakaria. I held the title for, first of all, I got knocked out of the Guinness World Book of Records. Okay, so I mean, look, yeah, of course, it was a bummer. Let me tell you something, it was so bad that Gary Cohn, the former national security economic divisor, sent me a sympathy card. Okay, that's how bad it was last week. But that's fine. You know, listen, it just shows you anything can happen in the Trump world. And if you tell me, we got two years to go here, could somebody else get fired more
Starting point is 02:42:44 quickly than Katie Zakaria? You know that's possible. I know that's possible. Yeah. So, Andy has also written a book that I want to tell you about about it. His experience of the Trump administration is super interesting. Right before we go to do that though, we found a clip of your first press conference. So let's watch a little bit of this first.
Starting point is 02:43:02 Okay. How involved in the day to the operation from the press department will be going forward? As much or as little as he wants to be. I mean, he's the president of the United States. I'm here to serve him. I'm certainly going to do my very best to communicate to him. What I think is the most effective strategy for him to get his message out to the American people and to the global community. But it'll be as much or as little as he wants to be.
Starting point is 02:43:25 You know, he did, you know, give me the orders today that I'm in charge and I report directly to him. And I'm gonna do my very best to serve him. So Anthony, there you look so much more composed than Katie did. That wasn't the issue in your case. It was a quote that you gave a reporter otherwise. But out of curiosity, in the brief time that you had the job, how much did you like the job and how bum were you that it turned out that way? Well, I think, listen, I was bummed and relieved. You know, and I'm not trying to offer any revisionist history.
Starting point is 02:43:58 It was a very crazy 11 days. And you know this about Washington. The shots were coming from inside the house. And you may have read some of the reporting on Katie, where Susie Wiles set her up with Sean Hadity, and Sean Hadity took her down. I don't think Sean was really that rough on her, but the way she answered his questions,
Starting point is 02:44:19 sort of knocked her out of the game. So it's a vicious, very tough world in Washington, and it's exponentially tougher when you work for somebody like Donald Trump. So I was able to return to New York and try to repair my reputation and get back together with my wife. And so many things were going wrong for me at that moment that I, you know, the firing, I was met with some level of relief alongside of that. disappointment. Yeah, I can understand that. All right, so you wrote a book called All the
Starting point is 02:44:55 Wrong Moves, How Three Catastrophic Decisions Led to the Rise of Trump. So obviously, you know, you're no longer in that camp, and you're in your own camp. We've got opinions that are in different places in the political spectrum. But tell us about those three catastrophic decisions. What do you think led to Trump? I think it's important to just point out that the book isn't a political polemic, it's more of an economic observation. I try to be objective in the book to the extent someone can be talking about both Democrats and Republicans. And what I submit to you in the book is that people are generally well intended. They're trying to do their jobs, the best of their capability. And they sometimes make decisions and they think the outcomes are
Starting point is 02:45:39 going to go in a certain direction. But guess what? The outcomes go in a completely different direction. And so the three big ones that I'm pointing out are China being allowed to join the World Trade Organization with emerging market status. They stay as an emerging market participant well after they've grown into a developed nation. I mean, they got to the size of Germany. We should have started treating them like they were Germany, but we didn't do that. We went to war in the Middle East, two wars. Iraq and Afghanistan, we cut taxes. in both occasions.
Starting point is 02:46:16 We expected those wars the last months. They lasted decades. Two wars, two tax cuts, two decades of fighting, $8 trillion of deficit spending, and not counting the endless deaths, the senseless deaths, both of civilians, American troops, etc. And then the last one,
Starting point is 02:46:36 which I know you've written about and talked about a lot on your show, the government bail out of the banks, while the banks did pay back the money, the optics of that were very bad. And the government left no money for middle or lower income relief, credit card relief, rental relief, anything like that. And on the year of the banking bailout, 5,000 investment bankers received bonuses north of $1 million a year. And I think that engendered a lot of anger throughout the system.
Starting point is 02:47:11 You saw the start of Occupy Wall Street, Citizens United, etc. So for me, you've got anger-based politics going on in the country, lots of deficits spending, which you know we have to monetize. And so we're paying for that with the most pernicious, most aggressive form of taxation, which is inflation. And that kills the working poor, as you and I both know. So those are some of the topics in the book. I thought it was important to write a book that explains what happened. So I submit to you that if we can understand what happened, then maybe we can also come up with workable solutions to fix the problems that we're facing.
Starting point is 02:47:53 Yeah. On that last one, I couldn't agree with you more, as you said. Right. There is a tremendous loss of faith in institutions as you're writing about generally. And what I think a lot of people in media miss is that the American people are right to lose faith in institutions. So, you know, if you talk about the institution of democracy or the constitution of the country overall, I don't want them losing faith in that. But if you're talking about the Republican Party or the Democratic Party or mainstream media, oh, they have overwhelming reason to lose faith in those institutions because those institutions did betray them. 100%. Yeah, in all the ways you write about.
Starting point is 02:48:28 And it's so interesting because, you know, you join the Trump administration. That's, you know, how solidly you are in the right at that point. I'm obviously on the left, but there's so much that we now agree on. And so this, the political spectrum has also gotten bent. And part of the reason for that is because we now realize the Republican Party, Democratic Party are not what we thought they were. So, you know, and so, and you also talk about your time, of course, in the Trump administration. So tell me about how in a sense you lost faith in those institutions and including in the
Starting point is 02:49:02 administration you join. Well, I, if you don't mind, though, because I think that when I first met you, there was a level of potential, I would say not hostility, but we were trying to square off each other intellectually and trying to figure out who we both were. But if you may not remember that first interview, but it was a summer a few years ago. And I was trying to explain to you that Bernie Sanders and Trump were more or less talking about very similar things. And I'm not in the alt-right category. I am not. But I am with you that we have to help the working poor. And I am with you that we need universal health care. And I am with you that we've got to get the educational
Starting point is 02:49:43 standards right in the country. So if that doesn't make me a Republican or whatever the hell it makes me, I just want to do what I think is best for the American people. It shouldn't be a left or right thing. It should be more about what's right or wrong. But my time in the Trump administration, you know, the president was locked in on tax cuts for the rich. He was locked in on helping his cronies. He wasn't as locked in on the corruption piece of this thing that he is now. I think he had four years to figure out, hey, wait a minute, I probably didn't steal enough money in Trump one. Let me go back there. If I win, I could steal way more money in Trump too.
Starting point is 02:50:23 But it's been absolutely disgusting what these guys have done. And, you know, messages that you probably would agree with, right? How about no more forever wars in the Middle East? how about tackling the affordability issue, how about releasing the elements of the Epstein file that have never been and will likely never be released? Those are things that probably a lot of us would agree on Donald Trump reneged on every single one of those promises in Trump too. I'm certainly not surprised by that. But I do think a lot of people that voted for them are. And I think you've got more surprises to come over the next two years. It's going to get very rough.
Starting point is 02:51:03 Yeah, no, no, I totally agree with that. Bernie and Trump promised a lot of similar things. So they were both outsiders. They both were taking on the system. They were taking them on in different ways, but they were both against endless wars, both against corruption, at least in their stated speeches and comments. Now, we thought Trump didn't really mean it. And as it turns out, we were right about that.
Starting point is 02:51:27 He didn't mean it. And that was proven spectacularly. But I understand why people were frustrated. I understand why they chose to vote for Trump because of all their loss of faith in the institutions. Which leads me to the media, Anthony, because you write about that in your book as well. But look, I don't know that there's anyone that's more upset about mainstream media in the country in any part of the political spectrum than I am.
Starting point is 02:51:53 I think they're totally fraudulent, totally do propaganda. But I'm curious to your take, right? So what's your sense of how much they've contributed to the problems? Well, listen, I listen to your show because I think you're a very clear thinker. And we don't have to agree on everything, but I think you're going for what I'm going for, which is a better, fairer society, a society that frankly has more social justice in it. And I don't think the media cares about that. Ultimately, the media is focused on how to make money, how to generate a news cycle,
Starting point is 02:52:30 how to feed into the rage and hate machine so that they can get your eyeballs and get your attention. And so for me, I've been on shows with you where I think we have had, you know, Chris Cuomo is a little bit fairer of an arbiter than most people, frankly, in the media. But generally, okay, Dan Abrams, his show's gone now, but you and I were on that show together, a little bit more fair, a little bit more of a fair arbiter. But generally the shows have to go through the legal system now. And you know this. The president through the FCC has intimidated the daylights out of these people to the point where they muzzle a lot of things that are happening, which is why your show and Ben Macellis and others are doing so well because people are looking for the truth. And they know that you have an unfiltered, non-corporate approach to the journalism. But listen, if it's corporate media, there's a, corporate media is a lot like the Democrats and the Republicans.
Starting point is 02:53:37 There is a reason why 40% of the registrations now in the United States are independence. They've left those parties. And there's a reason why your show and podcasts and things like that are doing way better than people would have expected in the corporate media world. Yep. All right, you mentioned corruption there, Anthony. So look, I think that Trump is never going to be held accountable. He's Teflon Don, in a sense. You can even turn off your lights there.
Starting point is 02:54:10 That's how much power he has. But so, you know, and he's super old. By the time he gets out of office and they do the investigations, you know, God knows how old he'll be. But if I was his sons, I'd be a little bit worried. So a lot of money going in to Pentagon programs after they invest in. in businesses related and then to the Pentagon and all of a sudden they get those businesses get contracts. There's the crypto scams, let alone Jared Kushner doing his deals in the Middle
Starting point is 02:54:43 East. So do you think his son should be a little bit worried about somebody holding them to account on that corruption at some point? No, I don't because he's going to pardon them the minute that this election's over. He's not going to pardon them before the election because he's got to keep up the ruse and he's got to keep up the optics prior to that. But when he loses the house, he's going to pardon every single person in the room
Starting point is 02:55:11 and probably will pardon himself. And so they'll get off scot free. It'll be one of the big national travesties. Now, you could say, well, then Anthony, some of these state attorney generals will go away after them and things like that. Maybe, but it's very hard to do that. But no, I don't, I think they're going to get away with it.
Starting point is 02:55:33 It repulses me in a way that I cannot fully describe to you because they are laughing about it. They tell people privately that they want to be the richest family in the country and they tell people privately about all the money that they're making. And, you know, you can see from their cronies how. the fish things from the head down, right? The cronies are willing to take bribes. The cronies are willing to have American Express cards paid for. And they do it with like wanton, indiscriminate craziness, you know.
Starting point is 02:56:12 So no, but they're going to get away with it. I would love to tell you that they're not going to get away with it and that there'll be jail cells for all of these people that have created this level of corruption, but I don't think it's going to happen because he has the presidential pardon power in his pocket. Yeah, well, fair point. I'm worried about it. And obviously, can I push it back to you for a second? Do you think that they're going to end up in jail? Yeah, I do. And Anthony, you make a perfectly good case for why they won't. And I'm sure that he'll do. I hope to God you're right. I hope to God that you're right. So I, the reason I think that Anthony is because,
Starting point is 02:56:48 Not because I think you're wrong about anything you're saying, but because after the economy crashes, which I think is certain at this point, they'll be such rage that just saying, oh, you know what, like they did last time, exactly to the point you made. Oh yeah, we're gonna give the bankers a million dollar bonuses. No, well, we're gonna let the Trump sons get off scot free, even though they caused this mess and they were an obvious over the top corruption. I think the American people are going to go, no, not this time. And so there's state laws they could have violated.
Starting point is 02:57:23 There's just other ways that you could pursue that if you really want to pursue it. You see what I'm saying? Well, listen, I hope you're right because this is not only corruption, it's corrosive to the social contract of the society. Okay, I'll talk about myself for a second. Growing up on Long Island like I did as a blue collar kid, I thought I could make it. when you're seeing this level of corruption, you're like, oh, my God, there's a two-tiered system. And it works for certain people a certain way, and it doesn't work for me in that way. And or said differently, there's a two-tiered system, and I'm not part of the tier that benefits from this sort of nonsense.
Starting point is 02:58:03 And you know this about this country, okay? And because I listen to your stuff, Shank, you know that the country is based on hope. And you know that if people feel hopeful, then they can feel aspirational. And if they feel aspirational, they can actually seek their dreams, you know? I mean, Henry Ford was a bad guy in so many ways, but he had a great line. If you think you can or you think you can't, you're right. Yep. Okay?
Starting point is 02:58:32 And that's what the country's based on. And when you have this level of corruption, you make people think that they can't do things, that the system is not fair. So I hope, I hope you're less cynical than me. I hope that you're right. I hope they go to jail for a very long time and send a message to other people. And I hope we codify things that were less codified and less structured so that we can stop the next Donald Trump that tries this sort of nonsense. From both of our mouths to God's ears. Last question for you is speaking of hope. And you're right, we even have a segment called Operation Hope here on. on TYT. So do you have hope that any of this is going to get better? Is there a way to fix all this?
Starting point is 02:59:19 I do, I do, because people are listening to people like you. I do think that, you know, I know when you ran for president, it was sort of not as organized as it could have been, if I'm being brutally honest. But somebody like you, if you wanted to build the operational and organizational structure, I think you could go after the independence. I think the message is you're going to have to do it through one of the parties, but imagine somebody like you as an entrepreneurial candidate that could bring independence into one of those two parties on a platform of reform. And I think there's just too many good people in this country. And I think there's too many people that know how flawed and how broken the system is.
Starting point is 03:00:05 So yes, I have hope. Let me say this to you. I know we probably have to go, but this country dips itself every 80 years. 80 years after the revolution, we had the great civil war. 80 years after that, we had the Great Depression, which led to the Second World War. And guess what? We're now 80 years out from the Second World War. And so this country has a tendency to dip itself.
Starting point is 03:00:29 But we've always figured out a way through that hope mechanism to renew ourselves. So I got to believe there's enough smart people. that can help help us get through this. One of the reasons why I wrote that book is I wanted people to at least have an economic and political evaluation that wasn't a polemic that you could read and say, okay, those things happened. Those were well-intended people. Mistakes got made, but it went in the wrong direction, but we can fix it.
Starting point is 03:00:58 That's the message of the book. Yep. Look, I've agreed with Anthony in the past. I've debated him in the past. And of all the people that I've debated, I think he's among the most aiming. and reasonable that I've seen. So great to talk to you. I feel the same.
Starting point is 03:01:13 I feel the same way about you. We don't have to agree on everything. But we do agree on one thing. We love people and we want to see other people do well. I mean, that's something you and I universally agree on. 100%. All right, the book is called All the Wrong Moves, how three catastrophic decisions led to the rise of Trump.
Starting point is 03:01:31 So check it out if you can. We'll put the link down below in the description. Anthony, thank you for joining us on TYT. you I think we appreciate. Big honor. Big, big honor to be on with you, brother. All right, see you. Thank you brother. Okay. See you. All right, guys, that's all we have for tonight. So we gave you both the revolution and the conversation. So we'll leave it right here for tonight. Tomorrow, of course, not only do we have operation? Oh, we have Operation Joy tomorrow. So we have that to look forward to. I'll see you then.
