Starting point is 00:01:00 A special four-part event, streaming April 10th on Hulu on Disney Plus. Welcome to TYIT. I'm your host Anna Kasparian and you are in for a treat. We have a massive show ahead for you all today. We're gonna talk a little bit about the latest news out of Iran, of course. We're also going to check in with what the Israelis have been doing to Lebanon in the second hour of the show. Rob Schneider has some thoughts on reinstating the draft, not because of this escalation with Iran or anything like that, not because of this war against Iran, it's because he wants us to feel like real Americans by sending our sons and daughters to their death during a disastrous now regional war that has spread.
Starting point is 00:02:22 So we'll get into that in a little bit. Don't want to give you too much commentary before I present the story. We'll talk a little bit about how Republicans are planning to fund this disastrous war against Iran. And remember, their initial ask is $200 billion. What are they going to cut from the American people in order to fund Israel's war? We're gonna get to that. Lots to get to.
Starting point is 00:02:43 But before we do, just wanna encourage you to like and share the stream if you're watching us live. I want to give our members a little something extra because I'm so grateful that you guys give us our voice and let us do the type of news and commentary that we do here at TYT. All right, without further ado, let's talk a little bit about the latest pretty disastrous news out of
Starting point is 00:03:40 Iran. In a new interview, the president setting his sights on the oil in Iran, saying, my favorite thing is to take the oil in Iran, but some stupid people back in the U.S. say, why are you doing that? But they're stupid people. Trump noting that seizing Iran's oil would likely involve seizing Karg Island, which handles nearly all of Iran's oil exports. But that would require U.S. troops on the ground. I would venture to say that the president of the United States, who got goaded into fighting a war that even George W. Bush wasn't stupid enough to fight. Makes him the stupid one, but I digress. Now look, what you heard from Trump is precisely why
Starting point is 00:04:22 the president has amassed thousands of additional American soldiers in preparation for what I believe is going to be a ground invasion. Now, there are denials that we're going to invade Iran, but I wouldn't believe those denials. Everything that has hinted toward war has led to war with this administration. The military assets that Trump and his administration decided to build up off the coast of Venezuela, what did you think that was for? It was obviously to carry out the operation that he carried out. Now in that case, it was pretty quick, and we haven't suffered any consequences of literally
Starting point is 00:04:59 kidnapping the leader of a sovereign country yet. But Iran is very different, a country of 92 million people. Iran has been preparing for the war. we're currently involved in for many decades. And here we are finding ourselves in a disastrous stalemate situation where all you see from Trump so far is escalation. So are we going to put boots on the ground? It sure looks like it.
Starting point is 00:05:24 Now, here's what we know so far about this troop buildup. So CENTCOM announced that the USS Tripoli with 3,500 additional service members and Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit have been. been sent over to that region. Another 1,500 soldiers from the Army's 82nd Airborne are also preparing to deploy. On top of that, there were 4,500 troops aboard the USS Gerald Ford. However, there's a big update with that ship. Some mysterious mishaps had taken place on that ship, apparently.
Starting point is 00:06:01 And so they withdrew on March 23rd due to these so-called mishaps. Now I say so-called mishaps because the way that U.S. reports on it, oh, there was a random fire on the USS Gerald Ford. I mean, it just came out of nowhere. No, it's our soldiers are being attacked, obviously, because we have started a war with Iran that clearly we are ill prepared for. And then on top of that, there are about 50,000 American service members based in the Middle East, that's roughly 10,000 more than usual, according to the New York Times.
Starting point is 00:06:37 So you get a sense of the buildup that the Trump administration has carried out. But you should keep these numbers in mind as we see the administration continuously escalate this war with Iran. Because if you can remember, we didn't win the war in Iraq, that illegal preemptive war that we engaged in in 2000, or at least it's called a preemptive war, right? They didn't have weapons of mass destruction, we relied into it. That country did not have the military capability that Iran, has, that country also didn't have the number of soldiers or the, you know, the sheer population
Starting point is 00:07:15 that Iran has. Iran is a population of 92 million people. Clearly, they're a lot more clever and a lot more sly. They have, you know, thought this through and have decided to fight what's being referred to as an asymmetrical war, because while the U.S. is using its military might, Iran is using economic strategic actions in order to bring a lot of pain, not just to the United States and Israel to be fair and also the GCC, the Gulf countries, but to the globe. We are entering a very serious oil crisis because of this war, and it's because Iran has a lot more leverage than I believe the Trump administration was willing to admit going into this. So all signs do point to Trump risking the lives of our soldiers in order to take
Starting point is 00:08:03 Karg Island, right? So Karg Island is very important to the Iranians. Now, why do I say that? Well, around 90% of Iran's crude exports pass through it before tankers then travel through the Strait of Hormuz. The island is also said to have a loading capacity of roughly 7 million barrels per day. Now, another thing I want to just kind of remind you all about when you're comparing Iran to Iraq is that we sent hundreds of thousands of soldiers to Iraq. In the case of what we're doing in Iran, if we do put boots on the ground, right now we have 50,000 soldiers in that region ready to go. How are you gonna win a war with 50,000 soldiers and we couldn't even win a war with
Starting point is 00:08:52 250,000 soldiers against a much weaker country in Iraq in 2003? I don't know. I mean, maybe they know something I don't know. Maybe they're geniuses and everything that we're seeing play out, which has been pretty disastrous, is all figment of our imaginations, who knows? But if the plan is to use tens of thousands of soldiers for that kind of operation to take over Karg Island, Trump is again, in my opinion, and the opinion of actual retired military generals and colonels who I've been turning to for their expert analysis on this, Trump
Starting point is 00:09:26 would be sending our service members into a death trap. Okay, so the US again invaded Iraq in 2003 with 250,000 soldiers. In this case, we don't even have 250,000 soldiers in that region. Iran is much more challenging than Iraq and we lost that war. Iran is a third, I'm sorry, Iraq is a third the size of Iran. I'm sorry, Iran is the third the size of the continental United States. So we're not talking about some small country that's easily taken. taken over or dominated.
Starting point is 00:09:58 Plus Iran's military capability is obviously much more superior than Iraq's, which by the way, Iraq has also joined this war. This has become a regional war. Iraq is on Iran's side. So congratulations America. 13 US troops have already been killed as a result of this war against Iran and at least 300 have been wounded. And a recent AP NORC poll found that 62% of respondents, meaning American voters,
Starting point is 00:10:26 strongly oppose the use of ground troops in Iran. Only 12% are in favor, 12%. But Trump's gonna do it anyway, because we don't actually live in a democracy. Nonetheless, Trump thinks that US troops invading and taking Karg Island will be easy. Take a look. The president saying of Karg Island,
Starting point is 00:10:46 I don't think they have any defense. We could take it very easily. On Air Force One Sunday night, he insisted a deal with Iran could be done soon. They're agreeing with us on the planet. I mean, we ask for 15 things and for the most part, we're going to be asking for a couple of other things. He says Iran has agreed to allow 20 more oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz,
Starting point is 00:11:06 a move, he says, that shows negotiations are going well. And just to prove that they're serious, they gave us all these boats. But Trump is refusing to rule out using ground troops as more U.S. service members move into the region. I just have lots of alternatives. We have tremendous numbers of ships over there. We don't need them all because of, you know, the power. What's the latest trend in hiring? Skills-based hiring, which actually emphasizes capabilities over education and direct experience.
Starting point is 00:11:37 According to experts, this leads to faster hiring and better job performance. Well, if you're an employer who's adopted skills-based hiring, the best way to ensure that your applicants have the right skills is ZipRecruiter. I mean, sure, there are no negotiations happening. Iran has repeatedly said we are not interested in negotiating a peace deal or a ceasefire. Because we don't trust the Americans. Trump lied, not just once, but on two occasions. occasions, making it appear as though the US was engaging with the Iranians in good faith
Starting point is 00:13:02 negotiations. And in the middle of those negotiations, he carried out the military equivalent of a sucker punch and attacked Iran. At first, last summer, with the 12-day war, and now with the current disaster that we got dragged into. That's the reality. There is no peace negotiation happening right now at all. I know Trump would like to think that's happening because I think he realized.
Starting point is 00:13:25 realizes either deep down or maybe even consciously, that he was played for a fool by Israel. And he got dragged into, again, a war that even George W. Bush wasn't stupid enough to engage in. But anyway, Iran isn't exactly shaking in fear. And here's how the Iranians have responded to the likelihood that they'll be seeing American soldiers on the ground very soon. Trump, the President of the United States, has repeatedly threatened Iran with a ground operation and the occupation of certain islands in the Persian Gulf. There is no doubt that the President of the United States has become a pawn of the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime in the War of Aggression against Iran,
Starting point is 00:14:15 driven by pressure from the terrorist organization Mossad, exploiting his background in the Epstein case. Unfortunately, America's leaders have delegated command of the armed forces to someone whose erratic positions and dangerous, wrong-headed decisions have plunged the U.S. military into a swamp of death in response to Trump's recent threats of a ground operation or the occupation of any part of Iranian territory, which are nothing more than wishful thinking. We declare that the warriors of Islam have long awaited such actions. They will show that aggression and occupation lead only to the humiliating capture, dismemberment, and disappearance of the aggressors.
Starting point is 00:14:59 American commanders and soldiers will become good food for the sharks of the Persian Gulf. And it appears that the Israelis know that American soldiers will become good food for the sharks. Now, why do I say that? Because remember, this is a war that is being fought on behalf of Israel. We get nothing out of this war. We only suffer the cost, the burden of fighting this war on behalf of a foreign country that doesn't even respect us, number one. And not only are we going to lose, we've already lost soldiers, we've already lost human lives as a result of our involvement in this, right? So the real question is, well, are the Israelis going to send boots on the ground, right, our special ally?
Starting point is 00:15:39 Let's go to graphic two here, because it turns out Israel's Channel 12 says that in case of a US ground operation in Iran, Israeli soldiers will not be participating on the ground. Could it be because they understand the very real threat to human lives if a ground invasion actually takes place? Why would they want to expend their soldiers? Why not just expend the cannon fodder known as American service members? Anyway, now, who is Trump getting his advice from? You know, I mean, I'm sure he has some in his administration, like, for instance, Kane.
Starting point is 00:16:19 Kane told him, this is a bad idea, don't do this, okay? They're not building nuclear weapons, we shouldn't get dragons in this war, it's going to be a quagmire. He did it anyway. So who is he getting his advice from? Could it be blowhards like this guy? But why would we need troops on the ground? Well, there's a lot of reasons, and we wouldn't need 300,000 of them. It's this uranium, too.
Starting point is 00:16:43 We've got to get the uranium. If it cannot be destroyed, if it cannot be altered, we've got to get it. For the reason I just said, you can make dirty bombs, and over time you can still make sophisticated missiles. So you need to get to the uranium. You know when you're building something from the ground up? The to-do list never ends. When I started TYT, it wasn't just what if no one watches. It was also, how am I supposed to handle the business side while also creating a show? That's really hard. In those moments, you realize you can't do it alone. You need a real partner. For us, that partner for our shop TYT store is Shopify. And honestly, I wish I had something like that from day one. They've been a terrific partner for us. Shopify is the commerce platform behind 10% Of all e-commerce in the US, that's amazing.

Starting point is 00:18:02 Because they have to enter all that information. That's the worst, but Shopify has that iconic purple shop pay button. Starting point is 00:18:34 How about you get to the uranium, bitch? How about that? How about you send your family members, people that you love and care about over to Iran to get the uranium? How about you call for the Israelis to send the IDF to do it? Maybe the Israelis can take a little bit of a break from slaughtering children in Gaza and Lebanon and maybe do something that they claim to really care about. Because I'm not worried about Iran's enriched uranium at all, at all. I'm actually worried about this country being torn apart, by a war that doesn't benefit us and is being fought on behalf of a foreign country that has fully captured our government. That guy is such a piece of crap, I gotta say. I mean, it's
Starting point is 00:19:17 amazing, you gotta get the uranium, it's not a big deal. You think the Iranians are stupid? So their enriched uranium is very likely buried, very, very deep, okay, and not in one place. Do we know where it is? Do we have intel on that? Do we know exactly where our soldiers are gonna go and risk their lives in order to get the uranium that these Israelis are pretending to be concerned about when in reality all they want is regime change. That's what this has been about from the very beginning. They're not worried about Iran building nuclear weapons. That was a farce, total lie.
Starting point is 00:19:49 They're not worried about anything other than the fact that Iran has been a major player in that region in pushing back against Israel and its expansionist project. Okay, the Shiite Muslims in Iran, in Iraq, the Houthis in Lebanon, who's, who I'm sorry, the Houthis in Yemen, Hezbollah and Lebanon. These are individuals, these are groups that have been fighting Israel's aggression. And Israel would like to get rid of them as a result. That's what this is about. So why are we going to play this little game where we're pretending like, oh, we got to get the enriched uranium and we're literally going to risk people's lives to do it?
Starting point is 00:20:28 That's insane. But anyway, I do want to just kind of talk a little bit about the, this notion that, oh yeah, there's talks are happening. There are peace negotiations happening. So let me reset for that. So you might be wondering, how the hell is Trump engaged in a military buildup in the Middle East as we escalate our war with Iran? Well, simultaneously, you know, the president claims, oh, we're negotiating and the negotiations
Starting point is 00:21:00 with the Iranians are going great. No, they're not, there are no negotiations with the Iranians. Do you think we're stupid? So it appears that he is lying about these peace negotiations, which honestly wouldn't be the first time. He lies to us all the time. But not only has Iran denied that they're working, that they're not working toward a ceasefire. They don't want a ceasefire and they want to continue fighting. Here's how they responded to Trump's comments about peace negotiations and talks.
Starting point is 00:21:32 So Mohammed Iranian officials seem to have come to the conclusion that whenever, the American president talks about imminent peace, that means there's imminent war. War is already waging, but they are expecting an intensification of that war. Now that he's talking about being close to a deal and that the Iranians are reasonable and that the negotiation is going on, this is their understanding, actually, of the American mentality, particularly under Donald Trump. So that's why they are focusing more on that approach of a possible, ground offensive than on what's happening in Islamabad.
Starting point is 00:22:09 Most of the comments here are on preparations and that Iran is ready for ground offensive. Because that's what they think is going to happen actually instead of a peace deal in a matter of days. So there have been some allegations that there are indirect talks. So third countries are getting together to talk about how maybe there could be a way to end this war. But there are no direct peace negotiations or ceasefire talks between the United States and Iran. Iran doesn't trust the United States. And that's a really bad place to be in. Because here's the thing about being dishonest, as Trump has been with the Iranians,
Starting point is 00:22:47 not just this past summer with the 12-day war when we struck them in the middle of peace negotiations, but obviously just recently, right before he started this war with Iran, There were supposedly peace negotiations happening between, you know, Steve, Jared Kushner and, you know, the Iranians. And then we hear that, no, it turns out that they were actually sabotaging the peace talks. Because Kushner doesn't actually want peace. Kushner wants to go all in on behalf of what Israel wants to do. And so when you sucker punch a country that you are pretending to be having like peace negotiations,
Starting point is 00:23:26 with they're not going to trust you anymore. So I can see Trump, I can, there are these moments of clarity, like the senile old man does have these moments of clarity where he talks about peace negotiations, and I think that's because he wants an off ramp. And I don't blame him for that, I wouldn't want an off ramp as well. The trick was to not be stupid enough into getting goaded into fighting a war on behalf of a foreign country in the first place. The better path forward would have been, hey, maybe I sit down and really fully understand
Starting point is 00:23:55 the leverage Iran has with the straight of Hormu, something that people like us have been warning about since the beginning of this second term, when it became clear that Trump was really genuinely considering attacking Iran. Maybe he would have sat down and thought about the real military capability that Iran has, but that would take, you know, a little bit of patience. You'd have to listen to the council of people who actually know what they're talking about. And you know, you can't really do that with picture books, can you? But look, Trump is in a world of trouble. In fact, the entire globe is in a world of trouble because this war with Iran has caused a lot of damage to the global economy.
Starting point is 00:24:36 So for instance, the war on Iran has been costly for everyone and only promises to get worse. Take a look at this graph that was put together by fortune. So using Brent as the benchmark, oil sold for $111.10 per barrel as of 8.30 a.m. Eastern time this morning, okay? Now that's 16 cents lower than yesterday morning and a $37.69 cents rise over the past year, okay? But Trump seems to want to make things worse. He's got those moments of clarity where it seems like he's angling for an off ramp. And then he has these moments where he starts issuing threats, right? Because he thinks that these threats, you know, using rhetorical coercion is going to get the job done. But that doesn't seem to be the case. So here's what he posted
Starting point is 00:25:31 this morning on truth social. If the Hormuz Strait is not immediately open for business, we will conclude our lovely stay in Iran by blowing up and completely obliterating all of their electric generating plants, oil wells, oh, that'll be great for the global economy, and Karg Island, and possibly get a load of this desalination or desalination plants, which we purposefully have not touched. Okay. It's funny because early on in this war in like the first few days, there was news that yeah, one of Iran's desalination plants absolutely did get struck. They blamed Israel for it. Israel, United States, same same at this point when it comes to this war. So they could have retaliated in a pretty devastating way against Saudi Arabia, because Iran actually has a lot more
Starting point is 00:26:24 fresh water than the Gulf countries do. So Saudi Arabia relies heavily on desalinated water. So basically taking, you know, salt water and taking the salt out so you can have clean drinking water. If Iran retaliated against Saudi Arabia or the Gulf countries, in response to Trump and the Americans attacking their water desalination plants. That would be pretty devastating for all the countries in that region, wouldn't it? Look, I love my yard and I wanted to look good, just like the next guy, but I absolutely hate dealing with the tools, especially the hose. You know what I'm talking about? I drag it out, it immediately kinks, gets tangled in the bushes, and a year or so, it's got a leak.
Starting point is 00:27:12 Happens every time. I used to have to buy a new hose every year because of that nonsense. But not anymore. I'm excited to tell you about the world's number one expanding garden hose and its brand new product, the pocket hose ballistic. This is the upgrade I've been looking for. It's the toughest pocket hose ever built. Look, taking care of my lawn isn't necessarily fun.
Starting point is 00:27:33 I tend to abuse my hose. Dragging it across my asphalt driveway over and over again and I tug it all over the place. But the pocket hose handles it all. That's because it's reinforced with liquid crystal polymer used in bulletproof vests. We're talking about a fiber that is actually five times stronger than steel.
Starting point is 00:27:51 This hose has made landscaping my yard a breeze. It's super durable, lightweight, and built to last. And now, for a limited time, when you purchase a new pocket hose ballistic, you'll get a free 360-degree rotating pocket pivot and a free thumb-drive nozzle. Just text TYT to 64,000.
Starting point is 00:28:11 That's TYT to 64,000, For your two free gifts with purchase, text TYT to 64,000. Message and data rates may apply. Like, everything that Trump is threatening here can easily be done by the Iranians. Let me just repeat a quote that Trump told Vlodomier Zelensky when he visited the Oval Office. You don't have the cards. Or more importantly and more accurately, turns out Iran has cards. So when you're issuing these threats, which by the way, are war.
Starting point is 00:28:46 crimes. When you're intentionally targeting civilian infrastructure, you are carrying out war crimes. I know that international law isn't really a thing anymore because, beginning with the Biden administration, he helped dismantle it by enabling Israel to do anything and everything it wants with no repercussions, no consequences whatsoever. But if you actually care about rule of law, If you care about living on a planet where people value international law because you don't want to see war crimes committed, this is a disaster. But this is the kind of threat that Trump issued today. And just worth noting that Trump has been issuing all sorts of ultimatums after stupidly invading
Starting point is 00:29:28 Iran, and those ultimatums have not worked. So for instance, he previously gave Iran a 48-hour ultimatum. He then moved it to five days, and the ultimatum was, you know, either. You reopen the Strait of Hormuz or we're going to obliterate your country, you know, the typical threats that you hear from Trump. Well, those 48 hours came and went, and then he kind of pushed it back to five days. And now he's offering an ultimatum without a timeline. The United States of America is in serious discussions with a new and more reasonable regime
Starting point is 00:30:02 to end our military operation in Iran. Who are you talking about, Pahlavi? Is that what you're talking about? Please. Look, this isn't something to laugh about. It's so utterly devastating that we find ourselves in a situation that again, the war criminals and the Bush administration wouldn't even do. But here we are, congratulations Bush.
Starting point is 00:30:28 Trump finally did it. He finally surpassed you in cravenness, depravity, war crimes, just being a fully corrupt, disgusting human being. Congratulations. You know, doesn't mean it's laundering Bush's reputation at all, but we finally have a war criminal president that has surpassed Bush's criminality. Anyway, we got to take a quick break when we come back a lot more to get to, including how Republicans are planning to spend $200 billion on this war by cutting benefits from the American people. What's up everyone? Welcome back to our social break, actually. Let's start off with our super chats. We got Rosa Roscoe who says, welcome back, Anna. Maybe if we give Trump another award, he will stop this nonsense war.
Starting point is 00:31:46 The thing that's especially devastating about the situation is that it's not even up to Trump at this point, right? I mean, Israel keeps escalating the situation every time Trump like hints that he wants to pull out. I don't think he's gonna pull out at the end of the day, but if there's any hint, you'll see like some other egregious crime committed by the Israelis and Iran. But on top of that, at this point, Iran doesn't want a ceasefire. Iran realizes that the United States and Israel pose an existential threat to them, and this is a war for survival for the Iranians. So they don't see this as, okay, we want to stop the fighting for a few months and then revisit
Starting point is 00:32:30 another conflict, another war with the United States and Israel. They want this to be over. And in order for it to be over, they think we need to actually, you know, make the Americans and the Israelis feel pain. And right now the global economy is already starting to feel the pain. Our Stone says, if Iran is only allowing selective tanker movement and they're destroying our air refueling capability, how could we continue this current pace for six months or more? When will Democratic leadership show up?
Starting point is 00:33:01 Don't you dare attack Democrats, okay? Don't you dare? Because remember, they're marginally better than Republicans. Don't you dare? So during our social break, our viewer, R. Stone, asked, like, how can we keep this war going for longer than six months? And then more importantly, when will Democratic leadership show up? So R Stone, I hope you know I was being sarcastic when I said,
Starting point is 00:33:42 don't you dare attack the Democrats, they're marginally better than Republicans. If you are an average American voter and you respond to Democrats' mediocrity with, but they're marginally better than Republican, so you must like launder how terrible they are, you're watching the wrong show. You're watching the wrong show, Democrat, Republican, I don't care. Okay, they signed up to be public servants. And if they're not fulfilling their role, they should be held accountable by people in the media. And I made a mistake early on in my career by thinking, oh, I'm gonna change,
Starting point is 00:34:16 cheer on one side and I don't think I ever covered up Democrats when they're behaving poorly, but the tribal politics has led to where we are today as a country, and I want to stop it, okay? You're not going to stop it by making excuses for pathetic politicians, whether they're on the left or the right, I don't really care. Anyway, let's get to our next story. Let's talk about what House Republicans are up to. And here, I'm gonna be very critical of Republicans because they deserve it. So House Republicans are looking to fund a widely unpopular war with Iran by cutting Americans healthcare because Americans just have too much healthcare to begin with.
Starting point is 00:35:00 So we can give some of it up, right? Yeah, okay, tens of millions of Americans don't even have health care in this country. More and more people find themselves in poverty in America each year. But we're going to go ahead and cut money that benefits the American people in order to send $200 billion to fight a war against Iran on behalf of a foreign country, Israel. So do you get what I mean when I say that our government has been occupied by Israel? That's what I mean. It's obvious, it's clear. Any other country doing this, if we got dragged into a war on behalf of, I don't know,
Starting point is 00:35:40 Let me just, Kazakhstan. Okay, Kazakhstan convinced the United States to fight a war that doesn't benefit us, but they really want. Everyone would be in unison condemning it, right? But with Israel, it's different. All of a sudden, like, no, it's totally okay for us to give up blood and treasure for a country that spies on us and thinks that American lives are expendable. Okay, all right.
Starting point is 00:36:06 Anyway, per source from Axios, and a report from Axios, they claim that House Republicans are going to cut from federal health care programs, which they've already done to the tune of a trillion dollars, by the way, to cover what's expected to be a $200 billion funding request from the Pentagon. And the GOP is also rolling out their old talking points from last year, because, God forbid, they try to make cogent arguments that are at least a little more convincing. So here's what they say. There's other items we're looking at right now, especially in the areas of fraud and waste and abuse. You mean the Pentagon, which hasn't passed a single
Starting point is 00:36:45 audit? Is that what you're talking about? No, that's not what he's talking about. That we're working through with our members. Okay. So is there waste, fraud, and abuse in federal health care? Yeah, of course, of course there is. Does it amount to $200 billion? dollars, unlikely, and more importantly, what usually happens with these arguments that Republicans make is they'll just use waste fraud and abuse as an excuse to cut health care funding, period, without actually providing evidence that, hey, this is how much waste fraud and abuse there is. Okay, here's the evidence.
Starting point is 00:37:23 And as a result, we want to save money by not spending as much. But that's not what's happening here. They just claim there's waste fraud and abuse. There's waste fraud and abuse. We're going to cut $200 billion, probably more. Let's see how much they actually end up cutting. And we're going to send $200 billion to the Pentagon to fight an illegal war on behalf of Israel. There's a whirl of opportunity out there beyond the typical 9 to 5, where purpose and grit come together,
Starting point is 00:37:48 where the American spirit and ingenuity are welcomed in places that could really use your skills and your experience. We're talking about the Peace Corps. With volunteers living and working communities around the globe, it's been called the toughest job you'll ever love. Tough because it asks so much of you to dig deeper. Get your hands dirty. To go that extra mile. To rise to the occasion and meet challenges head on. And the love part comes from being part of something bigger than yourself.
Starting point is 00:38:12 From building bonds that last a lifetime, it's knowing your hard work transformed lives, including your own. After 65 years, the Peace Corps is still the toughest job you'll ever love. Explore opportunities in more than 60 countries, learn about benefits, and apply at peacecore.gov slash serve. Even if you're like one of those anarcho-capitalist types, right, and you don't think the government should be involved at all in helping Americans with healthcare, sorry, you live in a system where we pay taxes, and those taxes are supposed to benefit the American people. That's a system we live under. So under that system, you tell me what's better, taking care of fellow Americans who are in poverty and can't afford their own private health insurance,
Starting point is 00:39:04 Or should we send that money over to fight a war on behalf of Israel against Iran, which is a pretty significant military power we're now finding. And predicted, by the way, before the war started. Those cuts, by the way, would be made through a process known as reconciliation. What is that? What is reconciliation? Well, reconciliation is a way of passing bills in the Senate where you wouldn't need 60 votes in order to pass the bill.
Starting point is 00:39:33 You can do it in this case with just 50 Republicans, 50 Republican senators out of 100 voting to cut benefits for Americans to send money to the Pentagon to fight this war on behalf of Israel against Iran. And the way that you can do reconciliation is if you find other areas of the budget to cut. Now, if you don't do that, you would need to basically find the 60 votes in the Senate to pass the bill otherwise. They don't have the 60 votes. So they're gonna try to do this through the reconciliation process. Now according to Axios, one proposal involves changing how cost sharing reductions work. So cost sharing reductions apply to silver healthcare plans. So they can be used to reduce your deductible, your copayments, and even some of your out of pocket costs.
Starting point is 00:40:24 So the Affordable Care Act requires insurers to offer plans with reduced patient cost sharing to marketplace enrollees with, with incomes between 100 and 250% of the poverty level. So the government used to compensate insurers for those cost sharing plans. And that's no longer the case. But insurers are still required to have them, right? So in response, most insurers decided we're gonna we're gonna raise silver premium substantially to compensate for the loss of CSR payments. And so that is what is known as silver loading, okay?
Starting point is 00:41:02 which sounds fun, but it's not, okay, so from 2017 to 2018, average benchmark silver plan premiums rose by about 17 percentage points more than bronze premiums did. So Congress did that to you, okay, if you're on one of these silver plans, Congress did that to you. Okay, under Trump, per the congressional budget office, that practice results in a larger premium tax credit under current law because the credit is tied to the second lowest cost silver plan. Reportedly, Republicans are weighing the idea of reviving the federal government's payments to insurers to offset the impact of cost sharing, thereby lowering the premiums for silver plans, which sounds like a good idea.
Starting point is 00:41:49 But simultaneously, this is the important part, Republicans would limit cost sharing to plans that do not cover abortion services except when next. necessary to save the mother's life or in cases of rape or incest. And according to the Congressional Budget Office, the move would lower overall benchmark ACA premiums by 11%, but result in 300,000 more uninsured people. So look, I gotta say like this is a little more of a clever way of hiding the fact that you're making healthcare even less attainable for Americans. But it would cut the subsidy amount that some enrollees receive thereby increasing out of pocket
Starting point is 00:42:35 premium costs while saving the government over $30 billion. But wait a minute, that's only $30 billion. Where else are they gonna get the cuts? What else are they gonna cut to make up for the $200 billion? Republicans in Congress wanna send over to the Pentagon, which hasn't passed a single audit in order to fund this illegal war against Iran that we are fighting on behalf of Israel. They're not sending a single member of the IDF to fight it, by the way, as Trump is amassing ground troops to invade Iran right now, Karg Island very likely, IDF, they're not gonna be there.
Starting point is 00:43:10 We're gonna have to fight that on our own, even though we get no benefit from going to war with Iran. Okay, great. So remember, the subsidy is tied to the price of the silver plans, right? So if the price of the silver plans were to fall, the tax credit would be reduced as well. So Axios reports that change that, Axios reports that changes like those could spook moderate Republican, no, it's not going to spook moderate Republicans, okay? They're all gonna fall in line like good boys and girls.
Starting point is 00:43:42 And it's worth noting that these changes aren't just for funding the Iran war. Republicans are also hoping to fund ICE at a time when, you know, the Democrats are holding strong to refusing a funding bill for DHS. They want some concessions from Republicans when it comes to the behavior of ICE as they are heavily armed and roaming our streets. They should identify themselves, for instance. I'm sorry, you signed up to be an ICE official or an ICE agent. And whining about how you're scared of the people that you're supposed to be serving is
Starting point is 00:44:18 ridiculous to me, but okay. Remember, we pay your salaries. We, the American people, pay your salary. salaries. The notion that they should be masked up and they shouldn't identify themselves is insane. Okay, and so Democrats are are still refusing to fund DHS and pass that funding bill. So as a result, Republicans are like, we need to find some funding for for ice. I thought you guys already had a ton of funding for ice. The people who aren't getting paid right now are TSA agents.
Starting point is 00:44:46 You guys secured $75 billion for ICE. Last week, the Senate passed a bill to fund DHS that does not fund ICE or the border patrol agents. Hardline Republicans in the House are currently slamming that deal. Only time will tell, though, if they do end up passing the bill in the House. But if it does, then Republicans want another way to, I'm sorry, but if it doesn't, Republicans want a different way of funding ICE. And ironically this morning, Secretary of State Marco Rubio accused Iran of spending money on war rather than on their own citizens. Take a look at that.
Starting point is 00:45:29 At the end of the day, I think that if there are people in Iran who now, given everything that's happened, are willing to move in a different direction for their country, that would be great. Imagine in Iran that instead of spending their wealth, billions of dollars supporting terrorists or weapons, had spent that money helping the people of Iran, you'd have a much different country. So we are always hopeful that that would exist over there. It's unfortunate. The people of Iran are incredible people. The people who lead them, this clerical regime, that is the problem. Trump asked for $1.5 trillion for the military budget. $1.5 trillion.
Starting point is 00:46:14 How about you shut the F up? If I were in Iran's shoes, knowing that the survival. of my country is on the line. The Israelis have been wanting to balkanize Iran for a long time. They want to do to Iran what they did to Syria, okay? Yeah, you're gonna do whatever it takes to defend yourself. The audacity of Marco Rubio to take pot shots in Iran for spending money on their military when we, the United States of America, throw the American people in the trash on a regular basis to funnel more money to the Pentagon that hasn't passed has a single freaking audit?
Starting point is 00:46:56 The fact that your president, Marco Rubio, the guy you're working for, your boss, as for $1.5 trillion for the Pentagon. I mean, the hypocrisy knows no bounds. It is amazing. Meanwhile, as Congress prepares to slash healthcare funding for the, you know, to fund the war, House Republicans are allegedly running for the hills. Let's take a look at that. So far this cycle, already 36.
Starting point is 00:47:23 36. That is the grand record over the last nearly 100 years. My goodness gracious, that actually beats the former record in total, which was 34 back in the 2018 cycle. And that wasn't that long ago. And I do recall that was a very, very good year for House Democrats. The bottom line is this, you don't run for the exits unless you know trouble is brewing. And House Republicans so far believe trouble is absolutely brewing. Oh, it's definitely brewing. You know, Despite what my left-leaning detractors have to say, Republican politicians, power brokers, the people who actually have positions of power are garbage, they are. Okay, and I've never held back from saying that.
Starting point is 00:48:09 But I believe in the American people, including conservatives. And conservative voters are pretty furious with what's going on right now. I mean, I know CNN put out that poll where they're like, oh, 100% of MAGA totally supports what Trump is doing in Iran. What is this? North Korea? Okay, I don't, that poll is not a credible poll. Okay, whenever you have 100% response in favor of something in a poll, it's not a credible poll. Obviously, their sample went after individuals who identify first and foremost, their whole identity is, I support Trump. Yeah, they're gonna go ahead and support what Trump is doing no matter what. But when you look at the whole of the conservative or Republican
Starting point is 00:48:53 electorate, yeah, it is fractured right now because of this war against Iran. For good reason. And so I just, you have to make that distinction, right? The politicians are different from the voters. Save your ire for the politicians. Now let's watch Enten explain what sort of trouble he's referring to. When West Jet first took flight in 1996, the vibes were a bit different. People thought denim on denim was peak fashion, inline skates were everywhere, and two out of three women rocked, the Rachel. While those things stayed in the 90s, one thing that hasn't is that fuzzy feeling you get
Starting point is 00:49:30 when WestJet welcomes you on board. Here's to Westjetting since 96. Travel back in time with us and actually travel with us at westjet.com slash 30 years. Some elected officials aren't so smart, but many of them are. And they're looking at the same numbers we're looking at. And what they're looking at is the President of the United States and his approval ratings. So why don't we just take a look here? Why are GOP retiring?
Starting point is 00:49:54 Okay, when the president's approval is less than 50%. I went back all the way through the record, because all the way back since 1938 in midterm elections, when the House, the press party in the House, on average, loses 34 seats, loses 34 seats when the president's approval rating is less than 50%. Donald Trump isn't anywhere close to 50%. He's at 40%. The average, the House for the President's Party, they lose 34 seats.
Starting point is 00:50:21 The least, the least was just nine. That was actually Joe Biden back in 2022. Yeah, Republicans are in a lot of trouble. And today, interestingly enough on Pierce Morgan show, he had a guest who basically just confessed, yeah, Trump's pretty much given up on the midterms. He knows Republicans are going to lose. No biggie.
Starting point is 00:50:43 Great democracy we're living in. Now, Craig Burland, who's the chair of the Maricopa County, Arizona Republican Party, told Politico that ever since this war against Iran was launched by Trump, Republican voters have seemed to be pretty unhappy. Let me give you his quotes. He says, we're even going around canvassing neighborhoods and registered Republicans are yelling out the door, go away, or I'm calling the police. I find that very discouraging.
Starting point is 00:51:12 Well, you should be discouraged. But Republican Party deserves it. But honestly, the whole of our government deserves our ire right now. Because where is Democratic leadership? Why is it that the loudest voices against this war happen to be people like Marjorie Taylor Green? That is insane. And I don't think that's insane because it's like, oh, wow, it's shocking that Marjorie Taylor Green would be against this war. It's shocking because Democrats should be a lot louder, a lot more agree.
Starting point is 00:51:42 aggressive in fighting back, not just against this war, but also against sending endless amounts of money to a genocidal country that is now invading Lebanon and openly announcing that they're going to essentially annex the southern part of Lebanon for themselves, 15% of the land. But anyway, getting back to this story, voters frustrations Berlin said, stem from the war or the economy and the economy is defined largely by energy prices. Sure is Berlin, sure is. So that's where the voters are at and I'm here for it because it's about time that people wake up and realize that we're always constantly stuck with one of two terrible options.
Starting point is 00:52:27 And unless we start holding our preferred parties accountable for their dog crap behavior and lack of leadership, nothing's going to change in this country. It's that simple. Anyway, by the way, I don't know if you guys saw what happened at CPAC. At CPAC, that Matt Schlapp guy was like, oh, how many of you guys want to see Trump impeached? And people started cheering at CPAC. And he's like, no, wrong answer, wrong answer. He asked again, people cheered again.
Starting point is 00:53:01 We'll be right back. All right, let's go to our Twitch members. Thank you for supporting the show through Twitch. YTP Renewd says personally, I think it's a relief to go without the shouting for once. Yeah, Anna can be blunt. I shout sometimes too, to be fair. Yeah, Anna can be blunt, but at least she's blunt in her indoor voice. Unless I'm on Pierce Morgan show.
Starting point is 00:53:59 But like you honestly, if you don't interrupt and if you don't talk over people, they will filibuster. And I don't like it. Let's go to watch streak reached who says, oh wow, YTP renewed is currently on a 55 stream streak, that is nuts. Thank you for the support, thank you for watching the show. What do you make of Bill Maher's attempts to make the Iraq war out to be a long-term net positive for Iraq? I think Bill Maher is a moron, that's what I think.
Starting point is 00:54:28 I think he's a moron. Yeah, I think that he is elated over the fact that Trump invaded Iran on behalf of Israel because he cares about Israel probably more than our own country. Let's go to Nader NYC, thank you for gifting one tier one sub to TYT's community. It's your first gift sub in the channel. Thank you so much for your support. We've got another watch streak reached. Avenger Dragon 89 is currently on a 130 stream streak.
Starting point is 00:54:55 We're going streaking. Okay, this is great. Let me see 130 stream stream while desalinization plants struck are being struck. Those are- I gotta read this comment. I'm gonna do the no-one well, but everyone calm down. But at first, TYT's pretty good. Army says, I keep having flashbacks to the old school Fred Trump comment moment. Whenever Anna says something containing Trump or pulling out, you're bad boy, you're a real bad boy.
Starting point is 00:55:55 All right, let's talk about Noble mobile mobile. You want to save money. Everyone wants to save money. You can do it by switching your cell plan over to Noble mobile. They pay you for any data you don't use. And on top of that, they have a sweet deal where you'll only pay 10 months for your first month. So if you're interested, just go to t.yt.com slash switch to learn more. Noble mobile is amazing, really good plan with really great reception and service. So check that out. Again, it's tyt.com slash switch. All right, let's talk a little bit about, well, cannon fodder because this war with Iran seems to be escalating.
Starting point is 00:56:34 And it's not good news as Trump amasses military assets and service members in that region. Let's get to it. Well, here's how I feel about it. There's a simple thing as a leader. And you know this having been in the military. Trump wouldn't know it because he's his draft dodging coward. But anyway, it's this. A war is justified if you're willing to send your kids.
Starting point is 00:57:00 because how can you send somebody else's kids to a war if you won't send your own? Yet it seems to be something that Rob Schneider is wanting here in this country, a reinstatement of the draft. Interesting timing, Rob, interesting timing. Now, in making his argument, Schneider didn't say that he wants the draft to be reinstated in order to have more troops to fight Israel's war against Iran. He tried to try to. to find a different reason, although it's really just the cover story. So as of yesterday, there are now over 50,000 American troops in the Middle East. That's roughly 10,000 more than usual, according to the New York Times. And so that buildup is making people who don't
Starting point is 00:57:49 think this war is a good idea, incredibly anxious because it does appear that Trump is thinking about a ground invasion. We don't know the exact details. I think that all signs point to Trump attempting to take Karg Island, which is incredibly economically important for the Iranians. But I do want to get to Schneider's lengthy post on X. Now we posted this on Friday, and here's the argument that he makes, okay? We must once again recommit ourselves to one nation under God indivisible. Therefore, we must restore the military draft for our nation's young people. Each and every American in 18 years of age must serve two years of military service. Interesting, okay.
Starting point is 00:58:33 They could also choose to serve part of that time overseas or in country in a volunteer capacity, not all of that time, some of that time. They definitely do need to like serve some of that time abroad, hopefully in Iran. Right, right, Rob, right? Yeah, okay. He continues, being a citizen of the United States gives us unparalleled freedoms and opportunities that are the envy of the world. How many Americans have lost their jobs because they were mildly critical of Israel? Is that a free country? I don't think so, but I'll continue with a statement.
Starting point is 00:59:13 However, these freedoms that we cherish do not come without a cost. By protecting and preserving these freedoms, young people, regardless of race, creed or religion, will be united. in service to their country and just as importantly to each other. Go to rosettastone.com slash today now and begin your language learning journey. Really? Mm-hmm. Here's the thing. When you live in a country that has been captured by foreign
Starting point is 01:00:40 interests and those foreign interests want to goad your country into war constantly, having a draft is a pretty bad idea, isn't it? Because that means that American soldiers will now be forced forced to fight wars on behalf of Israel. Now, currently we have a voluntary military service. And unfortunately, many of our soldiers do not want to be deployed to the Middle East. I was watching videos today of service members hugging their families goodbye as they're being deployed. And it was heartbreaking. But imagine living in a situation where you must, you have to serve in the military for two years.
Starting point is 01:01:21 I mean, how many Middle East wars are we going to get dragged into? Can you imagine? I mean, considering the fact that Israel is already thinking about how Turkey is their next target, Americans forced to go to war against Turkey. That's how it would play out. And Rob knows that, Rob knows that. Now, did Rob ever serve in the military? No, of course not.
Starting point is 01:01:42 He couldn't be bothered. Couldn't be bothered. Now, while the US does still have mandatory registration for men ages 18 to 26, The selective service system does remain active and on standby. And so the draft did end in 1973 when the U.S. did something similarly stupid, right, when we decided to go to war with Vietnam. After that, the military transitioned to an all-voluntary force. And I think considering how war hungry and bloodthirsty our Pentagon is, I think it's probably better to have an all-volunteer force. But many other countries still have mandatory military service and Schneider use that as a justification to
Starting point is 01:02:26 reinforce his idea here. And that's not all. He continued to argue other purposes that this would have. So he says we would have all of our young men and women put into a rigorous physical training course that they could use for the rest of their lives. Hold on, pause. Like in what context, Rob? military, like what other contexts are they gonna use their military training for?
Starting point is 01:02:54 What is that? We could always have a standing army ready at all times, including for domestic problems like natural disasters. Okay, we're done. We're done. We're done. We're done, we're done. We're done. Really? You want, you want freaking militarized federal agents responding to natural disasters? You think their war experience in Iran, for instance, is going to make them better prepared to respond to that? We have something. I mean, we have the National Guard to help with that. Okay, National Guard helps with alongside FEMA when these natural disasters happen.
Starting point is 01:03:29 The idea that we need to have a freaking draft. And one of the benefits is that we're gonna have like PTSD ridden soldiers responding to natural disasters is insane. And when I say PTSD ridden, I'm not trying to insult our soldiers. I'm insulting our government for dragging us. into ridiculous wars and then neglecting our veterans. How many of our veterans are homeless? How many of them have untreated mental health problems because they were deployed multiple times of the Middle East to fight other illegal wars on behalf of Israel?
Starting point is 01:04:04 This guy is sick, man. Unlike in today's universities, our young people will learn how truly great their country is and how unique and incredible are the freedoms that this nation bestows upon them. You didn't serve in the military bro. What are you talking about? Also, very importantly, we would have in service every segment of our society represented so that our elected officials would be more hesitant and not cavalier about sending their own sons and daughters off to a faraway war unless it was truly in our nation's interests.
Starting point is 01:04:40 Rob, are you high? President Donald Trump dodged the draft for Vietnam. By lying and saying that he had bone spurs, you think Trump would send his son to fight in Iran? Are you insane? I mean, he's not insane. He knows he's lying. He knows that those with means, those with money, the elite, if you will, would never send their sons and daughters to fight a poorly thought out and ill-prepared war against Iran, for instance. They would never do that.
Starting point is 01:05:18 He ended with this. To the young people of America, this is your country and your future. It sure doesn't feel like it. We will leave this great and free nation in your good hands for your children and for your children's children. We have 40 trillion dollars in debt that these children and their children's children will have to deal with. Probably after Rob Schneider is long, dead and gone. But he continues. sending their own sons and daughters to a far away war unless it was truly in our nation's
Starting point is 01:05:51 interests. Okay, is this war against Iran in our nation's interest? Is it going well for us? I'm just curious what he thinks. And then finally he says, God bless America. And again, he's never served in the military. Bears repeating, I know I've said it three times now. And right now, there are no current plans for a draft.
Starting point is 01:06:09 Luckily, reinstating the draft would require Congress to amend federal law. And honestly, when it comes to war, I do think Congress will pull through. There are two things that Congress tends to pull through for. That's Pentagon funding and funding for more war. There's usually very little debate on that. But Caroline Levitt did leave the door open to a potential draft earlier this month. Let's take a quick look at that. Yeah, and the president had an interesting exchange on Air Force One over the weekend, Carolyn.
Starting point is 01:06:40 I want to get your take about this idea of troops on the ground. Mothers out there are worried that we're going to have a draft, that they're going to see their sons get in and daughters get involved in this. What do you want to say about the president's plans for troops on the ground? As we know, it's been largely an air campaign up until now. It has been, and it will continue to be, and President Trump wisely does not remove options off of the table. I know a lot of politicians like to do that quickly, but the president as commander-in-chief wants to continue to, assess the success of this military operation. It's not part of the current plan right now, but the president, again, wisely keeps his options
Starting point is 01:07:22 on the table. But as commander-in-chief, there's no greater priority or responsibility to this president than, of course, protecting the American people. Protecting the American people would require Trump to not get dragged into wars on behalf of foreign countries. But, you know, I digress. And there is a change that was made. I don't know if most Americans are even aware of it, because it kind of has.
Starting point is 01:07:44 happened quietly. So the US Army already raised the enlistment age from 35 to 42, because they want to expand the recruitment pool. Fascinating, why would they do that? The new regulations also remove the requirement for moral waivers for a single prior conviction of marijuana or drug paraphernalia possession. Yeah. And even just putting boots on the ground in general, people make this argument,
Starting point is 01:08:18 I don't buy it. Our government doesn't care about us. Like I don't know how else to say it. It's so obvious and abundantly clear. They don't care about us. They don't care about us at all. Okay, you can literally have hundreds of thousands of people taking into the streets every single freaking day.
Starting point is 01:08:33 They won't do anything for you. So the idea that like, oh, they're gonna reinstate the draft and then Americans are gonna rise up it. They're not afraid of us. That's the problem. They don't care about us, they're not afraid of us. If you reinstate the draft and there's a bunch of people who are upset about it, you wanna know what Trump is gonna do, laugh in your face and tell you that we're winning
Starting point is 01:08:52 so hard, you're tired of winning. But anyway, let's look at the polling because among all Americans, according to the Associated Press, N-O-RC Center for Public Affairs Research, 62% opposed deploying U.S. troops on the ground in Iran. And the poll also found that while 63% of Republicans allegedly support the airstrikes against Iran, Only 20% are in favor of deploying US troops. That's only about two in 10 Republicans in favor of boots on the ground. But it doesn't matter, Republicans, your government doesn't care about you. So if, you know, BB massages the ego and, you know, makes deals behind the scenes with Trump
Starting point is 01:09:32 hard enough because, you know, we need more cannon fodder for the Israelis so we can get what we want with the Balkanization of Iran. Oh, Trump will do it. He's got a price for everything. Trust me. And there hasn't really been any recent polling on the idea of a draft. But according to the Washington Times, which is a conservative publication in 2024, they reported that a Rasmussen report reports survey of 1,110 likely U.S. voters found only 21% of voters believe that the U.S. should even have a draft.
Starting point is 01:10:09 61% disagreed, 18% unsure. Yeah, I agree with the notion of, hey, you wanna bring Americans together, you wanna like increase pride, increase morale, really get Americans to think about what it means to be an American, right? So if it's, you have two years of some sort of service you provide to the country that doesn't have to be in the military, okay, we're having an argument. That's not what this is about. Rob Schneider sees the writing on the wall.
Starting point is 01:10:43 Okay, Americans are sick of getting dragged into these senseless wars. The military is having trouble recruiting enough people, clearly. And so he's floating the idea of a draft at a time when war is escalating with Iran and it is not looking good for the Americans. I mean, what a total clown. I love how we pretended like this has nothing to do with Iran. Get out of here, get out of here. How about you, how about you rally your family members and
Starting point is 01:11:09 ask them to join the military. Other than that, I don't want to hear anything about the draft. Okay? Our country is totally captured by foreign interests that drag us into wars on their behalf. No, no conversation about a draft. Move on. Anyway, we've got to take a break. When we come back, we'll talk about how, well, it does appear that Iran has become a
Starting point is 01:11:31 testing ground for new Western weapons. We'll be right back. In fact, I will fight for you to have your religious liberty and practice your Christianity.
Starting point is 01:12:50 I believe in that. I don't believe in Christianity, which means that you do not get to dictate the way I live my life based on your religion. I don't care what the Bible says. You have every right in the world. All those women who identify with your religion have every right in the world to not get an abortion, to not take birth control. But they do not have the right to dictate my life.
Starting point is 01:13:11 and what I decide to do with my body. I don't care about your goddamn religion. I'm so tired of having non-stop conversations about what the Bible says. You live your life in the way that you interpret the Bible. Again, I don't care, but you don't get to take the Bible and tell me, while the Bible says this, in this chapter and this verse, I don't care. I don't care. I don't believe in it.
Starting point is 01:13:34 And I have the right based on our Constitution to not believe in it. Gaza has been left on Skate. Ain't a whole lot left. I don't know why they need any more bomb. Let us be clear. The United States provided $18 billion in military aid to Israel. Netanyahu indiscriminate bombardment have killed more than 50,000 civilians, 60% of whom are women, children, paramedics and journalists. All of this is against basic. human decency. You don't starve children with absolutely no humanitarian aid getting into Gaza. It is a war crime. It is illegal for the United States government to provide Israel with more offensive weapons. History will not forgive us. We've been on our phones too much. I feel like we just need to
Starting point is 01:14:44 touch grass or something. I told you. I mean, you know what? Let's actually do it. Let's touch the grass. Andrew Yang? It's not racist, right? It's him. Yes, it is I. Andrew Yang out here giving money away, as usual.
Starting point is 01:15:02 Wait, but literally? Do you use a phone? Noble mobile will cut your wireless bill in half every month, and you get paid even more if you log off, look up, and touch grass. Oh, I actually have some grass if you... I don't think that's a kind of grass. Not that kind of grass, unfortunately. Whoa.
Starting point is 01:15:18 Wait, what the... Whoa. I guess that kind of grass works, too. All grass works. All grass and we get cash? Did you see that? Babe. Don't make it rain, make it rain, make it rain, make it. That didn't rain so good. But now it's raining good. Corruption, injustice, the system is rigged against you. Starting point is 01:17:15 Welcome back to the show, everyone. I'm Anna Kasperi, and you're watching TYT, and I want to read just a few comments from our viewers before we move on to our next story. So DJ Payne 1236 says Rob Schneider never served in our military at all. Maybe people like him should shut up, I agree. I'm so sick of these old farts running their mouth about going to war when they have never even done 10 pushups in their life.
Starting point is 01:17:40 I mean, I just, I get offended specifically at the carelessness toward other people's lives. You know, because human life is precious and families get destroyed. I mean, think about even if these soldiers, our veterans are fortunate enough to survive multiple deployments in these endless wars, they come home and they're struggling. You know, one of the things that I really appreciate about Sean Ryan, who has a podcast, he was in the military, who's a Marine, is that he openly talks about how much those deployments affected him mentally. And I think it's important for Americans to really grasp that, especially if they're thinking about making arguments about reinstating the draft.
Starting point is 01:18:26 One more common, then we'll move on to the next story. Make it make sense, 1988 says, funny you brought up, don't attack Dems, Anna. I had to leave the no king's protest because my poster read, no kings slash Congress is the royal court. And I was open about voting out Senator Mark Kelly and Representative Yasmin Ansari. Okay, so yeah, I mean, that's fascinating. And look, I got into a little bit of a, I guess, TIF with AOC, which I'm going to talk about in the bonus episode for our members. One of our viewers, I guess enjoyed that whole exchange. I'll talk about it in greater detail.
Starting point is 01:19:07 But if you are someone who got elected specifically to fight the corruption in our system, and then you instead acquiesce to the system in one way or the other, I think that you should be held accountable, regardless of your political affiliation. Like I didn't, listen, I could have been a publicist. I would have probably made a lot more money, but I didn't want to be a publicist. I'm not interested in being a publicist. So why would I be a publicist for milk toast politicians for free? for free.
Starting point is 01:19:37 I'm not interested in that. So I'll talk about it in more detail in the bonus episode for our members. TYT.com slash join to become a member. All right, let's talk about the testing that's being carried out on the ground in Iran. And I'm talking about military weaponry, of course. So close to 100,000 civilian sites in Iran have been bombed by the United States and Israel as this war escalates and rages on. And just this past weekend, the US alongside the IDF struck a petrochemicals plant in Iran,
Starting point is 01:20:15 a heavy water production plant, numerous residential units, meaning homes, okay, civilian infrastructure, clearly. The Isfahan University of Technology sounds a lot like what happened in Gaza, a lot of hospitals, universities, you know, civilian infrastructure getting totally obliterated and destroyed. Tehran University of Science and Technology, that also got bombed, and the Imam Hussein University. So the Persian diaspora and Beverly Hills, are the people of Iran liberated yet? The IDF has actually admitted to bombing the Imam Hussein University, stating under civilian cover, research and development operations for advanced combat means were conducted inside the university. By the way, Israel has assassinated, I don't even know how many at this point, nuclear scientists in Iran.
Starting point is 01:21:16 Can you imagine that? Can you imagine a foreign country just doing drone strikes or missile strikes against nuclear scientists in America or any other country? How is that okay? I remember Jillian Michaels bringing that up like it was a good thing when I was on her take with her. It's like, that's not okay. It's not okay to just decide. I don't like that this country has scientists who could use their knowledge to build nuclear weapons. I'm gonna go ahead and assassinate all of them.
Starting point is 01:21:44 Anyway, last week, the Iranian Red Crescent stated that over 82,000 civilian sites had been struck by the US and IDF. That was last week, and obviously they've struck a lot more since then. By now, almost a week later, that number is certainly higher. And at the time, the Red Crescent reported that civilian targets included over 62, 200 residential units and over 19,100 commercial units. 275 healthcare and treatment centers and emergency service facilities have been targeted. 498 education units and schools have been targeted. 498 schools guys.
Starting point is 01:22:26 Okay, 17 Red Crescent centers, three medical helicopters, and 48 ambulances and vehicles have been targeted. This is not an accident. 22 Red Crescent workers and medical staff have been killed. They love, but when I say they, sadly, the United States military is now involved in this. Our Pentagon is involved in this. I guess we just love slaughtering civilians, killing innocent people, destroying schools, hospitals, targeting emergency workers, disgusting. It's disgusting stuff, it really is.
Starting point is 01:23:05 I love my country and when I say I love my country, I mean the people, the land, the landscape, we're so fortunate to have all of these resources. Just America's an amazing country, we are lucky to live here. But when it comes to our government, that's a different story. I don't love our government. In fact, I think you're questionable if you think our government is actually serving us. But I love the people of our country, and we need to change the system because this isn't okay. I don't want to live in a country where our military carries out over 100,000 strikes on
Starting point is 01:23:38 civilian infrastructure. I don't want to live in a country that targets schools. I don't want to live in a country and support a government that targets hospitals and medical workers. That's what Israel does. I don't want to be Israel. So I want to reset. I want to reset to to talk a little bit about what the New York Times reported because the New York Times, the New York The New York Times has revealed that on the same day that the US struck the elementary school in Manab, Iran, killing 175 people, many of whom were little children. On that same day, the US also struck a different elementary school in the city of Le Maherd. So the latter strike also hit a civilian sports hall.
Starting point is 01:24:36 So the strike involved a weapon that had been untested in combat. So we're using the Iran war to test new military weaponry. Times reporters and munitions experts found that the weapon features, explosions, and damage are consistent with a short range ballistic missile called the precision strike missile, or prism, which is designed to detonate just above its target and black. small tungsten pellets outward. The Times also reports that since the weapon is so new, it's so new. It's more difficult to assess whether the prism strikes in Lamarred were intentional,
Starting point is 01:25:21 stemmed from a design flaw or manufacturing defect or were the result of improper target selection. I'd like to turn to graphic two, please, graphic two, because it's not an accident. So the US and Israel have struck 100,000 targets. And among those targets are the following. Civilian targets included over 62,200 residential units and over 19,100 commercial units. 275 healthcare and treatment centers and emergency service facilities have been targeted. 498 education units and schools have been targeted. It's not a mistake.
Starting point is 01:26:02 It's not an accident. First off, testing militarily, using a war that we should not at all be involved in to test new military capabilities and weapons is wrong, obviously. But I also want to dispel the notion that these attacks are happening accidentally because you don't accidentally hit 275 healthcare and treatment centers and emergency service facilities. 275. It's not an accident that 498 education units in schools have been targeted. It's not an accident. That doesn't mean I hate America. It means I hate our government. Deeply, deeply. Congress is useless. And our administration is full to the brim with neocon war criminals. It's not an accident. There's an IRGC. compound nearby the school and a sports hall in Lamared. It's unknown if the compound was the
Starting point is 01:27:09 intended target of the strikes. They're targeting schools and hospitals. We know what the intended targets are. But we do know that at least 21 people were killed in the strike, including volleyball players in the sports hall. So when asked for comment, a U.S. Central Command spokesperson said the following, quote, we're aware of the reports and are looking into them, very Israeli of you, Captain Tim Hawkins. U.S. forces do not indiscriminately target civilians, unlike the Iranian regime, unlike the Israeli regime. Early on in this war, Iran's desalination plant was targeted. They could have retaliated by targeting desalination plants in our Gulf, you know,
Starting point is 01:27:52 in Gulf ally countries like Saudi Arabia, for instance. But they didn't do that. You want to know why? Because apparently they have a lot more restraint than certainly Israel has. And sadly, it's becoming very clear, the United States seems to be taking some lessons from the Israelis. And we'll end with a message from Human Rights Watch, which has claimed that Iran is striking Israel with cluster munitions. I've seen videos of it. It's not just a claim. It is happening. But here, this is a thing that happens when you dismantle international law by enabling Israel to do anything and everything it wants. It sets precedent.
Starting point is 01:28:31 And if you have a problem with the use of cluster munitions, which you should, because obviously, they're not, cluster munitions are not as easy to pinpoint the target and hit the target. Obviously it's a cluster munition. So look, take a look at how this bomb works, this little graphic seven. So canister loaded with bomblets is released from an aircraft or launched by artillery. The canister opens in midair releasing hundreds of bomblets. So clearly you're gonna hit a bunch of civilians, civilian infrastructure. You're not gonna be able to control all those bomblets, that's the point, which is why it's wrong to use the cluster munitions.
Starting point is 01:29:15 But again, if you have a problem with Iran using cluster munitions or hitting civilian infrastructure, maybe you should have taken it up with the Israelis over the last, I don't know, I mean certainly over the last two and a half years. When they commit war crimes and they set a precedent, others are going to carry out war crimes as well. That's what happens. That's why international law is important to maintain. I wish Biden cared a little bit about that, but his brain was leaking out of his ears.
Starting point is 01:29:44 And he had a bunch of war criminals, you know, actually leading the country into the disaster that we're in right now. Yeah, I'm talking about Anthony Blinken, piece of crap. Anyway, that's it for that story. We gotta take a break when we come back, I wanna get into, you know, whether or not we're gonna start hearing from the Israelis that they have a radical extremist Christian problem. Because Christians are now being targeted. And you know that the Israelis are gonna find a way to justify it, right?
Starting point is 01:30:20 So let's wait and see what happens, we'll be right back. Simon Moody in our member section says, oh look, civilian test dummies, at least the untested vehicles and equipment in Ukraine is largely battlefield stuff used in direct combat with Russian troops, not new twists or cluster munitions. I'm so, God, Big Stan writes in and says, thank you for standing up for us veterans. Anna, I feel so awful about the fact that our service members sign up because they want to serve the country and the way that they're treated by our government literally disgust me. Look at what the starting salary is for soldiers and how pathetic it is compared to what
Starting point is 01:31:46 we shell out for Pentagon's funding. Savage Lou says Anna Casparian is the world's number one exporter of salt. That is true, apparently, it's definitely true. Wong June writes in and says, Rob Schneider has thoughts on the draft because what the F else is he going to do work? Let's go to thoughtful thinker 64, who says now that Israel can add killing UN peacekeepers to its list, including civilians, children, elderly, journalists, aid workers, and paramedics, they must have finally filled out their bingo card.
Starting point is 01:32:22 Certainly seems like it. We're gonna talk about that a little later in the show. Stick around, we'll be right back. Don Dada Dragon writes in and says that, you know, Trump has been buddies with Diddy for decades. It shouldn't be surprising that he's this into oil. That he's this into oil. You're right, you're right. They're both very much into oil.
Starting point is 01:33:02 They love different types of oil, different types of oil, but oil nonetheless. Let's talk about how Christians are treated in Jerusalem. I mean, where does this authority come from that you can just close someone else's church? Well, I don't think it is true authority. and it is, it's, you know, basically totalitarian saying, we've got the power, we've got the bombs, we can do what we want. Today, both Tucker Carlson and his guest, who you just heard from, Bishop Joseph Strickland, had a conversation about how the Israeli government is barring Catholic leaders from worshiping Holy Sunday in Jerusalem. So this was a,
Starting point is 01:33:52 A pretty big story over the weekend for what I believe are obvious reasons. And it's getting a lot more attention now because it does appear that Americans were under the impression that the Israelis were only making the lives of Muslims miserable. But here's the thing, when you allow injustice to be carried out against one group of people with impunity, as has been the case with the Israelis, what makes you think that the Israelis wouldn't carry out those same injustices on other groups of people. Because remember, they don't want anyone there. They don't want the Christians there, they don't want the Muslims there, and they want to
Starting point is 01:34:31 expand their borders. So the real question here is, at what point are we gonna start hearing about how there are dangerous Christian extremists in the Middle East and we have to go to war against them? Anyway, so let's talk about what happened this past Sunday. So for those who are Christian, you already know, but for For those who are not, this past Sunday was Palm Sunday. So that's the day that kind of kicks off the week leading up to Easter Sunday. And so yesterday, two leaders of the, and when I say yesterday I mean Sunday this past weekend,
Starting point is 01:35:05 two leaders of the Catholic Church sought to enter the church of the Holy Sepulchre. That's in Jerusalem, okay? Now that's where Christians believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross, and that's also the where they believe Jesus was buried and resurrected. Now, so you can understand the importance of that site. You can understand why Catholic bishops want to enter in order to, you know, celebrate Palm Sunday. So the plan was to hold Mass and broadcast it on the internet so others could,
Starting point is 01:35:42 you know, be involved, be included in this. However, Israeli police did not allow anyone to enter the church. They closed it, they shut it down. down and they claimed that they had to do it. It was a necessary, very necessary safety precaution because of the Iran war. Are we worried about Iran bombing that church? Because I'm not, I'm definitely worried about the IDF doing that. I'm not worried about Iran doing it though.
Starting point is 01:36:10 Now they claimed that again, it was necessary to keep people safe. I'm not buying it for context. The Western Wall is mostly, but not fully closed. So if you wanna visit the Western Wall, you'd still have the ability to do it. Elsewhere in Jerusalem, other holy sites have been allowed to remain open if they're close enough to a bomb shelter and if only 50 people come to worship at a time. And those sites include synagogues, churches, and some mosques. But Israeli police alleged that the church of the Holy Sepulchre, which again, that church
Starting point is 01:36:46 is really important to people of faith, to these Catholic, you know, know, people of faith. They did, allegedly they didn't have sufficient access for emergency vehicles nor adequate shelter. That's the claim that they're making. Okay. Their decision, though, to shut that church down was met with a lot of backlash. And I think for good reason. So here's more from Tucker Carlson. We know that I believe talking to people in Jerusalem this morning, that there were no synagogues completely closed. And we know that the church, the Holy Sepulchre was not closed during the last two world wars. We know that the idea was to have a Catholic leader and three others in there for a live stream service, and that was banned. So it's hard to understand
Starting point is 01:37:32 how this was done for safety reasons. And moreover, I wasn't aware that the government, the secular government of Israel, owned the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, or by the way, the Dome of the Rock or were any other religious building owned by someone else in East Jerusalem. Now there were other conservatives who were upset about this, including Marjorie Taylor Green, Megan Kelly, and Ted Cruz of all people. Now with Ted Cruz, it's probably like, maybe this is a bridge too far and I have to just push back a little bit to save any credibility I may have with Christians at this point. But Mike Huckabee, the U.S. ambassador to Israel, who's a traitor to our country,
Starting point is 01:38:22 here's what he wrote. This incident is an unfortunate overreach. No, it's not. It's not an unfortunate overreach. It's very much intentional. And you should talk about how Christians are treated in Jerusalem. You should talk about how Armenian Christians are treated in the Armenian square. You should talk about that.
Starting point is 01:38:39 Didn't seem like you were too concerned about that, Huckabee, when you were being interviewed by Tucker Carlson. But anyway, let me continue with what he said. Unfortunate overreach already having major repercussions around the world for the patriarch to be barred from entry to the church on Palm Sunday for a private ceremony is difficult to understand or justify. You're right, it's impossible to understand or justify Huckabee. But aside from his statement, obviously, what is he going to do about it? But there was enough outcry that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu eventually had to come out and do some damage control. So to protect worshippers, Israel asked members of all faiths to temporarily abstain from
Starting point is 01:39:22 worshipping at the Christian, Muslim, and Jewish holy sites in Jerusalem's old city. As soon as I learned about the incident with Cardinal Pisa Bella, I instructed the authorities to enable the patriarch to hold services as he wishes. And per Tucker Carlson's daily newsletter, he writes that Israeli leaders uncharacteristic apologized following Huckabee's rebuke, revealing that if America has the spine to pressure them into improving their behavior, they sometimes will change their ways. Washington should remember that. I agree, but they won't. Washington is occupied by the Israeli government, so they will do as they're told in most cases. But here's the thing, there are a lot of Christians in America
Starting point is 01:40:08 who would not, or and Catholics, who would not take kindly to the poor treatment of individuals who have their same faith, you know, being persecuted or treated poorly by the Israelis. And so this is about saving face. Well, what's important to know is how Christians are treated when no one is looking, because this was a big thing that blew up. But on a regular basis, how are Christians treated? Because if you are under this assumption that like, oh, no, no, Israel is just, I mean, the IDF just does mass slaughter of Muslims, no biggie, which is a gross thing to say, number one. But even if you think that it's just Muslims, you know, they're the ones who get slandered
Starting point is 01:40:58 endlessly by the Israelis, they're the ones who are dangerous, right? They're the ones with no power, no means to really defend themselves, especially in a country where they make up a pretty small population of people here in the U.S. But Christians, that's a pretty big population here in the U.S. And so Israel might get away with treating them poorly when no one's looking. But when it comes to freaking Palm Sunday and a story like this that blows up, you got a safe face. But make no mistake about it. If and when Christians become a problem for the Israelis.
Starting point is 01:41:35 And what I mean by problem is, remember, they're expanding their borders. There's a lot of Christians living in Lebanon right now. Oh, they'll slaughter the Christians. They'll slaughter anybody. I think that should be clear to everyone at this point. So looking forward to hearing about the dangerous radical Christians. Looking forward to the Fox News segments about how we need to look out for the radical scary Christians. Obviously, I don't believe that there are radical scary Christians that need to be persecuted by the Israelis.
Starting point is 01:42:08 But they'll be persecuted nonetheless. And the smears will begin. And it's very curious to see how the U.S. response to that. Anyway, let's move on to Lebanon. This one's going to take some time to report on because there's just so much. But it does look like Lebanon has become or is becoming the new Gaza, which is pretty devastating. Let's get into it. The attacks from the Israeli army have been escalating since yesterday.
Starting point is 01:42:36 They attacked a unifil convoy, killing one peacekeeper yesterday. They attacked another unifil convoy about an hour ago. And also about an hour ago, they attacked a civil defense center, another civil defense center, down the road here in El Mansoor. That independent journalist, her name is Courtney Bedou, and she's amazing. She puts herself in danger on a daily basis to give us news about what is transpiring in Lebanon. And I'm grateful for heroic and brave journalists such as herself. And she has already paid the price for doing the kind of work she does.
Starting point is 01:43:11 We'll get to that in just a minute. But there she is reporting on how the Israelis have escalated their assault on Lebanon, which includes land annexation and the killings of peacekeepers, doctors, emergency workers, and journalists. But Hezbole is the terrorists? The group that's trying to defend their borders and prevent Israel from taking more land. They're the terrorists. Okay, right.
Starting point is 01:43:46 So basically, Lebanon is Gaza 2.0 at this point. And the U.S. is paying for these atrocities, just as we did in Gaza. And as we get dragged further into a devastating war with Iran. How does anyone think any of this is a good idea? So let's talk about land annexation first. So Israel has announced that they intend to steal about 15% of Lebanon's land. Israel has ordered the population out of southern Lebanon and has also destroyed all bridges across the Latani River with officials saying they will not allow the displaced.
Starting point is 01:44:20 We're talking about over one million people. They will not allow them to return home because Israel's just taking the land. Okay, between that and attacks elsewhere in the country, over a million Lebanese have been displaced. Let me tell you something. If one of our neighboring countries, I mean, it's laughable to think about it, if one of our neighboring countries was literally invading us and we didn't have a decent military and had to rely, we had to rely on a militia group or whatever to defend our border, I would join the militia group to defend my country, to defend our borders. Like, do you live in a sovereign country or not? And so like this argument that like, oh, we got it. We have to disarm and defeat Hezbo.
Starting point is 01:45:05 So what? Israel can steal more land? Is that? Okay, the government of Lebanon, totally powerless. Okay, the leader of Lebanon, pathetic in the face of Israeli aggression. And they don't really have a military. So how are you going to defend your country? You're just going to let this happen?
Starting point is 01:45:25 Okay, let's, there's more. There's a lot more. And look, the excuse is the same every single time from Israel. Every single time, defense minister Israel Katz, said that there could be no homes or residents in areas of southern Lebanon where there was terror, an apparent reference to Hezbollah. So as Israel was carrying out their genocidal operations in Gaza, killing tens of thousands of innocent people, Hezbollah attacked. Israel. Good. That's what they're referring to. Oh, it's they're terrorists because they attacked us.
Starting point is 01:46:04 I mean, when you live in an international community where no one seems to give a damn about a country carrying out genocide against innocent people, most of whom are children and women and elderly people, honestly, it sucks the soul out of you because you think there's nothing but evil in this world. So like am I going to get on Hezbollah's case for a, I mean, it was fruitless, obviously. Like they're not going to stop a genocide on their own. But am I getting mad at them for attacking Israel as they were carrying out of genocide? No, I'm not going to get mad at them for that. I'm just telling you the truth. Okay, if you don't want this crap to happen, how about you stop trying to expand your borders and you stop killing innocent people?
Starting point is 01:46:46 It's that simple. Anyway, Israel's far right minister of finance, Basel Smotrich, also urged Israel to annex southern Lebanon as the military has destroyed five bridges and homes in an intensified assault in the area. Here's what he said. I say here definitively, in every room and in every discussion too, the new Israeli border must be the Latani, Smotridge said, referring to the Latani. River, a critical waterway that cuts through southern Lebanon about 19 miles from the border
Starting point is 01:47:25 with Israel. Netanyahu, by the way, overtly states that Israel is the aggressor in this war against Lebanon. I mean, they just tell you, so why don't you believe them? Here's what he says, quote, instead of them surprising us, meaning Hezbollah, we surprise them. Meaning we attack before they attacked us. We are the active side. We are the attacking side. We are the initiating side. We are deep in their territory.
Starting point is 01:48:01 So what do you got? For those who are like, Oh, Hezbollah, so bad. What do you want to happen? What do you think should happen? What do you think should happen? Here you have the prime minister of Israel basically saying, yeah, we initiated this.
Starting point is 01:48:15 We're the aggressors. You're gonna take the land and you're gonna get mad at Hezbollah for trying to defend their country. Okay, I mean, it's what a joke, what a joke, what a joke. He also added, by the way, that he had changed the face of the Middle East through aggressive military operations on three distinct fronts. This is all about expanding Israel's borders. And those trying to defend themselves are smeared as the terrorists. Okay, let's talk about the assaults on.
Starting point is 01:48:46 on peacekeepers and emergency workers and doctors. I mean, a lot of that's going on in Iran. Unfortunately, the US is involved in doing that in Iran alongside the IDF. But in the case of Lebanon, Israel is again targeting emergency workers, doctors. I want to give you a few details here. So as was the case with Gaza, most of those killed in Lebanon so far by the Israelis happen to be civilians. Take a look.
Starting point is 01:49:15 This was Jawad on the left, on the right nine-year-old Sarjit. Their uncle, Raghib, was an interior designer. This was the home he had built. And this is what's left of it now. Well, you can see this home has been completely destroyed. A large extended family had been living here. Many of them, in fact, had fled to Beirut and only returned. just a few days ago, thinking it was safer.
Starting point is 01:49:49 And then the house was targeted. My child, she was here on the blood. I'm going from the head. Wafar's children and nephews had been playing in the courtyard. My daughter comes from outside. She said, Mom, Mom, I take it. But my son is here. He's dead.
Starting point is 01:50:15 Yeah, I loathe Israel because of this. Because of this. Because of this. And I'm not ashamed. I think there's something wrong with you if you see that and you think, oh, it's totally fine. Let's give Israel more weapons. Let's fight more wars on their behalf.
Starting point is 01:50:32 The death toll from Israeli strikes on Lebanon has reached nearly 1,250 people. More than 1 million people in Lebanon, southern Lebanon, have been displaced and they are never to return to their homes again, if their homes even are standing at this point. The reason why five bridges connecting southern Lebanon to the rest of Lebanon were destroyed was because Israel doesn't want the Lebanese residents who lived in southern Lebanon to come back. They want to take the land for a buffered zone. Right.
Starting point is 01:51:03 Can't wait to see how you settle that land. Another 3,600 people have been injured by Israeli strikes and aggression this past weekend alone. The IDF killed 10 Lebanese healthcare workers, 10 in one weekend. Nine were killed and seven wounded on Saturday. One was killed and another wounded on Sunday. And that brings the overall toll of paramedics killed in the war this month to at least 51 as the invasion of Lebanon continues to expand. Who are the terrorists? Who are the terrorists?
Starting point is 01:51:40 Please tell me. Please come to me and tell me that the real problem here is Hezbollah. Please tell me that. How many doctors did Hezbollah? Let's talk about the assaults on journalists when we come back from the break. DJ Payne writes in in our super chat section and says, if they want to draft, they can start with Baron, meaning Baron Trump. And then send Mark Levin, Rob Schneider, Lindsay Graham, and all those war mongering wannabe
Starting point is 01:52:55 Rambos. I know they're real tough guys, you know, behind a microphone. MACDAC 3 says Republicans have blocked a vote on a major, on the major Richard Star Act twice, directly relevant to this story. Look into it. It supports combat veterans. Can you guys make sure to make a note of that because I do want to look into that. Thank you for the tip. Stinky, stinky feet says Schneider is likely conveniently too old to be drafted. So yeah, there's that, no risk to him. On somewhat happier news, Michael Napin in our member section says that he hopes that I saw many birds during my time off.
Starting point is 01:53:37 And I did, I did. Maybe on Tuesday or something during the bonus episode, I'll show you some pictures. I saw actually one of my favorite birds now. They're called saffron finches. Oh, they're so beautiful. They're so vibrant and like they're gorgeous. Anyway, we'll talk about that later in the bonus episode. All right, let's get back to the show.
Starting point is 01:54:19 Sergeant Johnson says, survived, struggled, surviving. Thanks for the acknowledgement, Anna. Thank you for your service. And again, it bears repeating. This country uses and abuses our service members. And it's bad enough when we do it on behalf of oil or whatever resources the US wants to take from other countries. But it's particularly devastating when our soldiers get dragged into fighting wars for foreign countries. They didn't sign up to defend foreign countries.
Starting point is 01:54:52 Anyway, all right, I wanted to get back into this story on Lebanon because much like the situation in Gaza, journalists are being targeted in Lebanon as well. So let's get to the details. An increasing number of journalists in Lebanon have been targeted and killed by the IDF. In fact, this past weekend alone, three journalists were killed as they were in a, vehicle. So the three journalists killed in Lebanon were killed in targeted strikes. Doesn't appear that the IDF is even denying that. And this took place this past weekend on Saturday. Those killed include Ali Shueb, who was a correspondent for the Al-Mannar TV network, which
Starting point is 01:55:39 allegedly has affiliations with Hezbollah. Now he himself, there's no evidence that he was in Hezbollah. And I just think it's important to bear repeating. Hezbollah has been determined as a terrorist organization by the United States. Okay. All right. It's also an established political party in Lebanon and has pretty widespread support in southern Lebanon, probably because Hezbollah defends Lebanon's borders. So there's that.
Starting point is 01:56:10 But anyway, Fatima Fruni, a correspondent for Al-Maiadine, and her brother who was working as her camera person, they were both killed in the vehicle during these Israeli strikes as well. So the three were traveling together in a car close to the southern town of Jezine at the time of this attack. Now, one of the journalists who worked closely with the individuals who were killed by the Israelis over the weekend, journalist Courtney Banoe shared her thoughts on the murder of the of her colleagues and it's a difficult video to watch to be honest with you because it's, this just keeps happening and it just feels like there's never any justice. But nonetheless,
Starting point is 01:56:56 I think it's important to hear her words, especially considering how brave she is, reporting on the ground in Lebanon as an independent reporter, war correspondent. So with that in mind, take a look. As you may already know, my colleagues, Fatima Fatoumi and Hajj Ali Shaib, were killed today in a targeted Israeli drone strike. Ali Shib worked for Al-Manar and Fatima worked for al-Mayadin. I worked with them in the field on the borders for the last 15 months documenting Israeli war crimes.
Starting point is 01:57:28 Haji Al-Asheib was a veteran journalist and devoted his entire career to documenting Israeli war crimes in South Lebanon. Fatima was one of the bravest journalists that I've ever met. She never shied away from danger. She never shied away from a report ever. And today, while documenting these war crimes and the Israeli invasion of Lebanon, they became
Starting point is 01:57:56 victims of a war crime themselves. They were shining examples of integrity and ethics. And we, as journalists in Lebanon, will honor their memory by continuing to work today and tomorrow and every day until the Israeli army is out of cells. with Lebanon. There are videos of her reports where like an Israeli drone is flying right above her head, a missile strike takes place right next to her. Like she's, she's incredible. Look, when it comes to journalism, the people who are on the ground as war correspondence, I mean, that's how Jeremy Scahill got his start. These are the real deal. Like, these people are
Starting point is 01:58:45 amazing. And it just breaks my heart that, it breaks my heart to see her in that. you know, not state in that video. But anyway, Israel justified the killings by claiming that Ali Shweb was a member of Hezbollah's elite Rodwan units. Now, did they provide any evidence of that? No, they didn't. In fact, while his reporting was somewhat sympathetic to Hezbollah, again, which is an established political party in Lebanon, there's no indication that he was actually a militant or someone who was part of Hezbollah. So Trey Yingsd, okay, had this pretty explosive report on Fox News of all places. So pay close attention to what he says here. Three Lebanese journalists were killed, including Ali Shuebe, who worked for the Hezbollah
Starting point is 01:59:46 affiliated Al-Manoir television network. The IDF accused Shweb of operating as a member of Hezbollah's Rodwan forces and included a photo of him wearing a military uniform. When asked by Fox News about the source of the photo, the IDF responded, quote, unfortunately there isn't really a picture of it, it was Photoshopped. They just say it, they just say it. No, we don't have it. It was a photoshopped image.
Starting point is 02:00:15 Who cares? We killed the journalists. What are you going to do about it? Give us money. Give us bombs. Fight our wars. And America will dutifully do it. Who are the terrorists again?
Starting point is 02:00:29 We support the terrorists. We fund the terrorists. That's what the United States is doing right now. Also, you know, if the IDF really suspected that Schwab was part of Hezbollah, why didn't they just arrest him on the many occasions they could have easily arrested? him without killing additional journalists, by the way. So here's a great post on X that I came across and is totally correct. So let's take a look at this. Here's Ali Shweb reporting from right next to Israeli soldiers in September of 2023. If he was a Rodwan force elite combatant,
Starting point is 02:01:06 why didn't they arrest him? How come they didn't feel threatened by him while standing literally next to him? Israel murdered a journalist in broad daylight in mainstream media as recycling Israeli garbage to whitewash it. You're right about that. You're totally right about that, Mohamed. And the truth is that the IDF has launched a war on journalists. I think that's pretty clear. Remember, just about a week earlier, RT journalist Steve Sweeney was targeted by the IDF.
Starting point is 02:01:33 Take a look. Further rocket attacks were reported against Naharia and admit it. Is he part of Hezbollah? Is that what happened? He's not. Of course he's not. But he was targeted anyway. There's more who could forget the IDF putting a CNN journalist in a chokehold recently.
Starting point is 02:02:14 This was in the West Bank. Take a look. Producer Abir Salman identifies us as journalists before translating the soldier's commands. So the soldiers just immediately came up and started pointing the weapons directly at us. telling everyone to sit down immediately. Obviously, we're not posing any threat here. The commander comes straight for our camera. And within seconds,
Starting point is 02:02:42 A soldier has just put photojournalist Cyril Theophilus in a chokehold, forcing him to the ground. The soldier who assaulted Theophilus continues to demand he turn off his camera before another smacks my phone. I don't understand. I don't understand it. So as you can see, what we have seen happen in the last 24 hours is that settlers came to this area. They settled that hilltop. And now you have a lot of soldiers coming to this area with the Palestinians in this area.
Starting point is 02:03:16 They're on top of the home of Imad, the man that we were just speaking to. We're seeing the soldiers treat the Palestinians in the area as the threat when really what started this problem was obviously the settlers who came in the middle of the night and took over land. That's not theirs. Yeah, but the IDF is there to help the settlers take the land that's not theirs. That's the whole point. And, you know, CNN was doing a little bit of journalism there.
Starting point is 02:03:41 And it's kind of inconvenient for the terrorists in Israel. Israel killed two thirds of the 129 journalists who were killed last year in 2025. And that's according to the committee to protect journalists. So again, who are the terrorists? It's worth asking. Important question. Now, as far as Hezbollah goes, I will say Israel excels in one thing specifically, and that's creating new militant groups.
Starting point is 02:04:14 So after Israel invaded Lebanon in 1982, that led to the formation of Hezbollah to protect their borders from a country that clearly has sought to expand its borders. It's never enough for the Israelis. So again, who are the terrorists? Look up the Armenian Bedain. Were they terrorists? Seems to me they were trying to defend their villages from Turkish aggression. But today?
Starting point is 02:04:48 Oh, our country would call the people fighting to protect their country the terrorists, as long as they're aligned with the aggressors. It makes me sick. Anyway, the bonus episode is going to be lit. We're gonna talk a little bit about my, you know, my little fight with AOC over the weekend. Look, I don't really like getting into the stuff about like, oh, we have a conflict. But the core of the conflict is an important issue here, right? Because why were you elected in the first place?
Starting point is 02:05:22 Okay, but we'll get to that. TYT.com slash join to become a member. And I'll talk about that in more detail. Let's go to some of our member comments since we have a little more time. T. Rift says no, I do not think Israel has the right to exist. If it ever did, it certainly doesn't now. So I'll say it again, Israel does not have a right to exist. Well, you know where I stand on that issue.
Starting point is 02:05:45 Titan of Olympus O3 says, thank you, Anna, for speaking on how terrible veterans are treated in this country. Everyone says they support the troops, but are silent and missing in action when it comes to doing anything beyond thank you for your service. You're totally right about that. By the way, have you seen what our military bases look like? And I'm talking about the residential parts where like our soldiers and their family members are supposed to live in and like the terrible conditions. I mean, it's just, it's anyway, it's so gross and it's so wrong. Bach says Iraq has better roads than I do. And that's not even an exaggeration.
Starting point is 02:06:25 I've never been to Iraq, so I can't comment on that. But our infrastructure is falling apart. I mean, it's pretty disastrous. Ronald Fan says, happy Monday solo, Anna, thanks for giving me the Iran news. Way to go, Anna, good job, kicking AOC's butt and keep up the good work. I didn't kick any butts. But again, it was rhetorical and important, and I'll talk about it in more detail for our members. Lady A.F. says there's a Palestinian family that's been keeping the keys to the door for centuries.
Starting point is 02:06:55 Let's go to, hold on. Here we go. Thank you to Savage Lou, says Anna. I already read this earlier. Anna is the number one exporter of salt. Watch streak has been reached for carcinogen, who is currently on a 125 stream streak. This is like a new thing, huh? They're doing like a new thing like stream streaks, I like it.
Starting point is 02:07:19 Another evening with Anna, I'm happy to be here with you. Octo Scoody says, I donated to the campaign to help get AOC elected. biggest disappointment since the Christmas, I didn't get a what, an S-N-E-S? I don't know what that is. Do you guys know what S-N-E-S is? And let's read one more comment before we got to go. Oh, we gotta go, one minute, got it, okay. We've got SM who says in our member section, they did the same thing in Gaza as they're
Starting point is 02:07:46 doing in Lebanon right now. Everyone who was killed was affiliated with Hamas. Boomer Cat Dragon says, I saw my first Robin today. A harbinger of spring, I know it's like my favorite time of the year, right? Spring is amazing and it's like a little, well, appetizer to summer, which is my absolute favorite season, even when it gets too hot. I like the heat. I like to bring it, I like to feel it. Anyway, bonus episode is next for our members, tyt.com slash join. We'll see you there.
