You're listening to The Young Turks, the online news show.
Make sure to follow and rate our show with not one, not two, not three, not four, but five stars.
You're awesome. Thank you.
Good evening.
My name is Rudy Giuliani, and I'm the former mayor of New York City.
In 2013, my city elected a self-described.
progressive Democrat as mayor. New York City once described as America's crime capital
had become by the mid-1990s America's safest, large city. Now today my city is in
shock. Murders, shootings, and violent crime are increasing at percentages
unheard of in the past. We're seeing the return of rioting and looting. During riot,
This Democrat mayor, like others, has often prevented the police from making arrests.
And even when arrests are made, liberal, progressive DAs release the rioters so as not to disrupt the rioting.
New Yorkers wonder, how did we get overwhelmed by crime so quickly and decline so fast?
Don't let Democrats do to America what they have done to New York.
Again, the Democrats are urging you to vote for an obviously defective candidate.
Biden has changed his principles so often, he no longer has any principles.
He's a Trojan horse with Bernie AOC, Pelosi, Black Lives Matter, and his party's entire left wing,
just waiting to execute their pro-criminal, anti-police socialist policies.
The whole unprecedented wave of lawlessness began with a truly just cause.
The unforgivable police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
Peaceful protests began all over the land.
The combination of the killing was universal from President Trump to Democrat leaders.
It seemed, for a few brief shining moments,
Democrat and Republican leaders would come together with a
a unified proposal to reduce police misconduct.
This possibility was very dangerous to the left.
They had a president to beat and a country to destroy.
And although an agreement on action against police brutality
would be very valuable for the country,
it would also make President Trump appeared to be an effective leader.
They could have none of that.
So Black Lives Matter and Antiva sprang into action.
And in a flash, they hijacked the people.
peaceful protests into vicious, brutal riots.
Soon, protests turned into riots in many other American cities, almost all Democrat.
Businesses were burned and crushed, people beaten, shot and killed, police officers, routinely assaulted, badly beaten, and occasionally murdered.
And the police handcuffed by progressive Democrat mayors from doing anything but observe the crimes and absorb the blows.
But the worst of it was the slaughter of innocent young people with their whole lives ahead of them.
The murder of four-year-old LeGrand Talfaara in Kansas City shocked the nation, but not Black Lives Matter, or there are many Democrat supporters.
17-year-old basketball star Brandon Hendricks was killed in the Bronx just days after graduating high school and on his way to St. John's to play basketball.
He passed with only a brief mention.
One-year-old Davil Gardner Jr. was shot and killed in a stroller at a cookout in Brooklyn, and it caused no outrage.
For President Trump and for us Republicans, all black lives matter, and the lives of LeGrand and Brandon and Davle matter to us.
All lives matter to us.
these continuous riots in democratic cities
gives you a good view of the future under Biden
all five are the top cities for homicides
like the top cities for rioting and looting
are governed by progressive Democrats
using the progressive Democrat approach to crime
which is to do nothing
substantive to reduce it
to release prisoners as many
and as soon as possible, and to go to war with the police,
the only group with the capability to protect your citizens.
It is clear that a vote for Biden and the Democrats creates the risk
that you will bring this lawlessness to your city, to your town, to your suburb.
There is no question that this awesome job of restoring safety for our people
cannot be done from your basement, Joe.
There's also no question that President Trump will fight with all his strength to preserve the American system of government and our way of life.
In critical times in our history, America has always been blessed with the right person to handle the crisis.
Washington, Lincoln, Roosevelt, Reagan were perfect for the challenges they faced.
and brought our nation through gloriously.
President Trump, with his boundless love of our country and all our people,
his discipline work ethic, his exceptional ability to inspire,
and his deep understanding of our system of government,
and the strength of American values is the man we can trust
to preserve and even improve our way of life.
Mr. President, make our nation safe again.
The U.S. Attorney announced charges against Dr. Charles Lieber and two Chinese nationals today.
Okay, so so much madness to go over in such a brief period of time. Let's try to dive into it.
So first of all, Ben Carson spoke. I could barely hear him. I think he was trying to make up for
Kimberly Guilfoyle. Seriously, it was one of the less offensive speeches at the RNC. He mentioned
the usual stuff about, oh my God, you have no idea how much Donald Trump cares about black people
and how wonderful and kind he is. Aye, aye, aye, okay. And he said, you know, he cares about a good
education. To be fair, that's true. That's why he wanted to make sure someone's smarter than him
took his SATs for him so he can get into a good school. And that's why he had his dad bribed
those schools to get in. Anyway, but he's the one part I got to agree with Ben Carson on is he said,
Donald Trump believes in transparency. He certainly says whatever comes to mind. Like, yeah, that was
true. We found it. We found the one true thing said at the RNC. Nice job, Dr. Ben Carson. And then he
went to sleep after that, so I really didn't get anything else, except for when he said, instead of
Shining City on a Hill, shiny city on a hill, and that that's what Jesus was talking about and that it's
America. Yeah. And in Bethlehem, Jesus was all about how America is the shiny city on a hell.
Pretty sure that's not how it went down. Okay. And then the comment about how the abortion rate is
the most racist thing there is. I'm not even, there's no point in even discussing that.
Okay, we'll get to the other loathsome speeches in a second. But speaking of loosome, Tom Cod.
While I stand alone, that was the motto of my old army unit, the 506th infantry, the original band of brothers.
From the Normandy beaches to the Iraqi desert, we fought alongside each other, but we were always prepared to stand alone.
And so it is with our nation.
We lead the free world, but we'll stand alone if we must to defend America.
Donald Trump understands this.
He puts America first.
That's why America is safer now than four years ago.
But Joe Biden would return us to a weak and dangerous past.
Barack Obama's own Secretary of Defense said Joe Biden has been wrong on nearly every major national security decision over the past four decades.
So let's compare the records of Joe Biden and Donald Trump.
Joe Biden slashed defense spending again and again.
President Trump rebuilt our military and added the space force.
Joe Biden let ISIS terrorists rampage across the Middle East.
President Trump eliminated ISIS's leader and destroyed its caliphate.
Joe Biden opposed the mission to kill Osama bin Laden.
President Trump avenged the murder of hundreds of Americans by killing Iran's terrorist
mastermind, Qasem Soleimani. Joe Biden sent pallets of cash to the Ayatollahs. President Trump ripped up the
dangerous Iran nuclear deal. Joe Biden treated Israel like a nuisance. President Trump moved our embassy
to Jerusalem and brokered peace deals in the Middle East. Joe Biden coddled socialist dictators
in Cuba and Venezuela. President Trump fights against communism. In a
America's backyard and around the world.
And on the Communist Party of China, there is no comparison.
Joe Biden aided and abetted China's rise for 50 years with terrible trade deals that
closed our factories and laid off our workers.
President Trump stands up to China's cheating and stealing and lying.
Joe Biden allowed Chinese fentanyl to flood across our southern border.
President Trump sanctioned Chinese drug dealers for poisoning our kids.
Joe Biden said Chinese communists aren't even our competitor, aren't bad folks.
Just months before they unleashed this plague on the world.
President Trump is clear-eyed about the Chinese threat and he is making China pay.
But China's not giving up. In fact, they're rooting for Joe Biden.
America's other enemies won't give up either.
But Joe Biden would be as wrong and weak over the next four years as he has been for the last 50.
We need a president who stands up for America, not one who takes a knee.
A strong and proud America is a safe America, safe from our enemies and safe from war.
No one who's seen the face of war desires to see it again.
Too many of our fellow Americans are already honored at the hallowed grounds of Arlington.
But if we want peace, we must be strong.
We weakness is provocative.
President Trump's strength has kept us out of war.
Joe Biden won't stand up for America.
Donald Trump will.
So this November, let's stand with the president and vote to keep America great.
My name is Marsha Mueller. This is my husband, Carl. Our daughter, Kayla, was taken as a hostage and murdered by ISIS.
From a young age, Kayla was amazing.
She taught herself languages, how to write music, how to play guitar.
She worked with troubled youth, military veterans, and Native Americans.
Everywhere Kayla went, people smiled.
Kayla had a gift to be able to see the world through someone else's eyes.
She became a humanitarian aid worker, and when she was helping children at an orphanage in India,
Kayla wrote, I find God in the suffering eyes reflected in mine.
If this is how you are revealed to me, this is how I will forever seek you.
She went to Turkey to help Syrian refugees in 2012.
Okay, look, they have a tragic story, but this is, I don't even want to get it to.
But the Republicans do it all the time.
They just bring out people, this group that we hate, killed somebody, Trump's the only one
who could protect you, rinse and repeat. Okay, so we have so much to go over. So Tom Cotton
says China's rooting for Joe Biden. Any time that anybody says Russia's rooting for Donald
Trump, they're like, Russia gate, oh my God, how could you say that? And we actually have evidence
that Russia actually physically helped Donald Trump in 2016 and is helping him now. But
if you say it, Russia, God, right? And they say it about China helping Biden with no evidence.
Who cares? Throw it out there. There are two different rules for two different parties. And he says,
if you notice a little racist reference to Donald Trump's not going to take a knee, that means
Donald Trump doesn't give a damn about black people. And neither do I, neither should you.
So if you're a racist like me, Tom Cotton, vote for Donald Trump.
So that's very clear.
And then he, Edwin, our stage manager, remind me even though we have no stage here, he texted
me that he's, this guy's Tehran, Tom.
So he's the one that wrote to the Iranian leaders when Obama was making the deal saying
don't listen to the U.S. president.
Let's do, you know, we're going to betray the president behind his back.
So I'm telling you, Iranian leaders don't, whatever you do, don't listen to the United States
of America. So that's who this son of a bitch is. But his speech paled in comparison to Pat
Lynch and Rudy Giuliani in terms of hateful. Rudy Giuliani said that Biden was quote,
obviously defective. These guys have broken the hypocrisy meter. It's just, it's totally
shattered. If I, if there's only, if there's one person I can name that's more obviously
defective than Donald Trump, it's Rudy Giuliani. So they send the most obviously mentally
damaged person they have to say that there's something wrong with Joe Biden's mental capacity.
Because that's, that's what torturers do. They try to break you by getting you to agree
to things that are obviously not true, right? If you, like, if you wanted to send in like the model
of mental acumen. I don't know who the hell that would be in the Republican Party to question
Joe Biden, that's one thing. But when you send cuckoo for cocoa puffs to say that, hey, silly
tricks are for kids, that's not a compelling case that the Democratic Party is the one with
obviously defective mental issues. And then he once, he said at this point, because
there's like there's no accountability for the Republicans. If a Democrat had said anything along these
lines, they'd be ripped to shreds. He said at one point, the Democrats want to make sure that they get
the rioters out of jails quickly enough so they can go back to rioting. Do I have to disprove
that one for you? I mean, cuckoo for cocoa buffs. They just lie with no remorse, they lie with
abandon. And those aren't nearly as bad as Pat Lynch's speech. But Emma, go ahead.
Yeah, I mean, I think that we can summarize this night to night as bootlickers incorporated basically.
Everyone is just submitting to authority, whether that authority be Donald Trump, somebody who they get to praise effusively and who's their, on their gravy, his gravy train, whatever, as we saw with Scavino.
And just cop bootlickers, people who want to submit to authority, not question authority.
And we saw this with the police union guy who, if you recall, he went pretty nuts and
ranted in a viral video after George Floyd's death and the protests that were subsequently
after that. But he was the guy who defended when the NYPD basically doxed Bill de Blasio's
daughter. So all de Blasio asked cops to do was put on body cams. He mandated body cams. And
And he ended stop and frisk.
And look at how they cry.
He didn't even go that hard.
Look at how they still turn on him and go and say that he's creating lawlessness.
I mean, the Republicans went after AOC because she said, wow, there's a lot of poverty right
now.
We have tens of millions of people unemployed that might be leading to crime in New York.
That's like the most common sense thing I've ever heard in my life.
And they went crazy about it because they want to connect, basically build, basically build
de Blasio and Democrats to this lawlessness and it's inconvenient for their narrative.
So I mean, Rudy Giuliani's unhinged. I could feel him spitting on me through the camera,
just that old man spittle. It's disgusting. He's a gremlin. I have very, I have zero respect
for Rudy Giuliani. He's a pretty terrible person. But yeah, I mean, all of this stuff
about policing and authority, it makes me sick.
So, look, I like de Blasio, but I gotta be honest, I don't think he was nearly tough enough
on those NYPD. So look, he stopped stopping frisk, which targeted minorities at a rate of 90%,
over 90%. So according to New York cops, the nine out of 10 guilty people are black or Latino.
It's absurd, it's absurd. And then he's like, oh, now he said in this speech, Pat Lynch did,
he's the head of the NYPD's union, okay? He's like, oh,
Oh, you know, they have our handside behind her back.
That's code for what?
Now we can't beat the crap out of innocent people?
Oh my God, how are we gonna do policing if we can't beat the crap out of people?
Now I'm sure that he would say that some of those people that he abuses are also guilty.
Some are innocent, but he's like, ah, who cares, right?
And so all we did was ask you to stop a deeply, deeply racist policy.
And he's still crying about it.
And he says no one is going to be safe.
Okay, get no one is going to be safe, you know, if we do what, if we do what?
Well, if we don't allow you to shoot unarmed black men in the back.
So that apparently it's the only way you can police.
Oh, my God, all.
So now we can't choke out black guys.
And by the way, if you're saying, hey, wait, wait, George Floyd's not in New York and
and Jacob Blake's not any, wait a minute, Eric Garner's in New York and NYPD choked him to death
for based on nothing, based on nothing.
And they're still crying about any attempt to hold them accountable for killing,
murdering Eric Garner.
How are we supposed to do our job?
How we're supposed to choke them to death?
And we got our hands tied behind our back.
And Jenk, by the way, chokeholds were banned in New York when that happened.
Another reason why the Republicans like Rudy Giuliani in his speech were trying to turn
around and say the Democrats don't want to agree to police reform, like Trump.
chokehold ban, which is really just an incentive not to do chokeholds, because they're giving
them piecemeal, because they want Trump to fail, basically.
That was his entire argument, which is outrageous because we know that if there's a ban or
if there's mandates without enforcement and you don't get rid of qualified immunity,
cops will still do whatever they want because there's no repercussions, it's just wind.
Yeah, I think Pat Lynch's speech, I mean, it's hard to beat this record at the RNC.
But it was one of the worst speeches. It was deeply racist, filled with nonstop lies. So he said,
they want us to surrender the streets. Hey, you're supposed to serve the entire community. You're
supposed to protect and serve. It says it on your badge, it says it on your cars. No, he's thinking
he's an occupying force. And that if we're not allowing him to abuse the citizens, then we've
surrendered the streets, to the community, to the people.
No, no, the cops should rule the streets on behalf of rich white people and kick ass for
them and crush minorities. Don't die our heads behind our back. You racist, all right, I want
to say worse. All right, now I know those lies. He says, the Democrats want to
dismantle our entire criminal justice system and have no policing and no justice system.
Okay, now if you want to say some folks want to defund the police and have a rational system
of policing that addresses both violent crime and nonviolent situations like dealing with homeless
people and you want to critique that, okay, if you want to say the Democrats don't want to
have a criminal justice system, that's bananas, that's insane.
In one of the core tenants of Democrats and progressives is justice, it's justice. But in Pat
But Pat Lynch's head, if white people aren't in charge and their thugs can't abuse everyone
else and keep them in their place, well, I mean, is that really a justice system?
In Pat Lynch's justice system, he's at the top and Trump's at the top and they have their
boot on your neck.
That's not justice at all, you sicken me.
And then he talked about all these things, Republican 101, this guy got killed, that guy got killed.
And really, Pat, how many of those cases did you guys solve?
Because you only saw one third of rapes, for example, across the country, all cops, two
thirds of rapes.
Most rapes don't even get reported because people are worried the cops aren't going to bother
to solve it.
Unfortunately, they're right.
They only solve a third of the rape cases.
How many of the murder cases, murder is the most important thing, only two thirds.
How many of the police shooting cases do they solve if a police is shot, a police officer?
They solve 100% of those cases.
Oh, so it turns out you can solve cases.
You just don't give a damn when it's actually the citizens.
So don't tell me sob stories about people that got killed on your watch, by the way, Pat
Lynch, on your watch, and cases you didn't even bother solving.
So you need me, you need me, except for the fact that I'm not really going to do my job.
And all I want to do is beat the living crap out of the citizens.
That's what Pat Lynch's speech was, it's disgusting.
And can I just make a point about Tom Cotton?
So Tom Cotton clearly wants to run for president in 2024.
He's an old school neocon on top of being a fascist.
And I don't understand this mixed messaging from the Republican.
So Cotton talks about how America's safer, he was saying how because under Trump, America
is safer now than it was under Obama.
But literally the entire convention has been about how things are terrible and this is a preview
of what it would be like under Joe Biden.
But this is what it's like under Trump now, riots, looting, whatever, because he literally
won't address the problem.
So people are taking to the streets and then naturally there is sometimes people who commit
crimes out of rage, out of feeling unheard because the president isn't hearing them.
So pick a lane, I mean it's the same thing with Joe Biden and the crime.
bill. So 13% of black men in 2016 voted for Donald Trump, or so 13% of black male voters,
I should say. They're trying to shave off a little bit more of that percentage and increase
his percentage there. So they're hammering that point home about how Joe Biden, he wrote
the crime bill and incarcerated all these people. And at the same time, they're talking about
how they want to be tough on crime and implement all these racist policies. And then how Biden
also basically wants to get rid of the criminal justice system. That's their other argument.
So which one is it? Did he write the crime bill? Which is true. Does he want to get rid of the criminal justice system? And now Tom Cotton, America is safer now than it was under Obama. But literally the whole convention has been about how the streets are so dangerous and crime is up. When crime, by the way, in New York City, has been on a decline. It's been ticking up this year because everyone's in their homes and out of work. And there's a mental health crisis and an economic crisis. But there's no cohesion to the law.
here. It's really not even know about that. It's about making people feel a certain way.
And they're speaking to their audience, but I don't think the message is cohesive enough on
law and order to break through.
Emma, you make a great point. So let me ask you guys this question, whether you're Democrat
or Republican or independent. If you're watching this RNC, first of all, I hope you're watching
with us, otherwise it's unbearable. But if you're watching it, do you get the sense that
the Republicans care more about crack and skulls?
so that they could prevent rioting, and by the way, also protests, or they care more about
the underlying issue of police reform that caused the protests and then the rioting in the
first place, right? So yeah, no question, some abilities have been burned down in Kenosha.
By the way, that's property damage. In terms of killing people, that was the right thing who did it.
And by the way, the media sucks. They just keep saying like, oh, burning, killing, it's the protesters.
No, no, no, right wing walked into the middle of protest with guns, shot people.
It was a right wing that killed people.
It was the cops who tried to kill Jacob Blake.
So the actual violence against human beings done by the right wing and the cops,
the media need to do a better job of clarifying that.
But in terms of this convention, who thinks that the Republicans came out and said,
oh, well, look, the underlying problem can be fixed with police reform.
And here's our proposals for that.
None, zero.
They're like, how are we going to protect the cops?
They can't crack skulls enough anymore.
And now what are they writing over because we crack their skulls?
Good, let's give more skull cracking.
There's no dispute over that.
And if you're voting Republican and you're watching it, you know that, that's why you're
voting for them.
It's not like you're voting for them because, hey, you know what?
It looks like there's too many on-armed black men being shot and abused.
And every African American in the country says the same exact thing.
And maybe we should look to fix it.
I don't know a single Republican who ever says that.
So just drop to pretences, we know who you are.

here's who we don't love Ivanka Trump let's listen good evening before I begin I want to send
a special message to everyone who's been affected by Hurricane Laura our hearts are with you
the president will continue to support you every step of the way and just like
Like Americans always do, the nation will come together to help you rebuild your homes, businesses
and communities stronger and more resilient than ever before.
Four years ago, I introduced to you a builder, an entrepreneur, an outsider, and the people's
nominee for President of the United States.
Tonight, I stand before you as the proud daughter of the people's president.
He is our commander-in-chief, champion of the American worker, defender of common sense,
and our voice for the forgotten men and women of this country.
He is our president and my father, Donald J. Trump.
This evening, I want to tell you about the leader I know
and the moments I wish every American could see.
I want to tell you the story of a president who is fighting for you,
from dawn to midnight, when the cameras have left, the microphones are off,
and the decisions really count.
When Jared and I moved with our three young children to Washington,
we didn't exactly know what we were in for,
but our kids, our kids loved it from the start.
My son Joseph promptly built grandpa a Lego replica of the White House.
The president still displays it on the mantle in the Oval Office right over there
so that he can show world leaders just so they know he has the greatest grandchildren on Earth.
I agree.
Over the last four,
four years, we've learned a lot. I've seen in Washington it's easy for politicians to survive
if they silence their convictions and skip the hard fights. I couldn't believe so many politicians
actually prefer to complain about a problem rather than fix it. I was shocked to see people
leave major challenges unsolved so they can blame the other side, campaign on the same issue
in the next election. But Donald Trump did not come to Washington.
to win praise from the Beltway elites.
Donald Trump came to Washington for one reason and one reason alone,
to make America great again.
My father has strong convictions.
He knows what he believes, and he says what he thinks.
Whether you agree with him or not, you always know where he stands.
I recognize that my dad's communication style is not to everyone's taste,
and I know that his tweets can feel a bit unfiltered,
but the results, the results speak for themselves.
He is so unapologetic about his beliefs that he has caused me and countless Americans
to take a hard look at our own convictions and ask ourselves,
What do we stand for?
What kind of America do we want to leave for our children?
I am more certain than ever before.
We want a future where our kids can believe in American greatness.
We want a society where every child can live in a safe community
and go to a great school of their choice.
We want a culture where differences of opinion and debate are encouraged, not canceled,
where law enforcement is respected, where our country's rich diversity is celebrated,
and where people of all backgrounds, races, genders, and creeds,
have the chance to achieve their God-given potential.
This is the future my father is working to build each and every day.
Building after all is what he's done his whole life.
He is admired and befriended construction workers on countless job sites.
But it has been a new and profound experience for him and for me to see these stoic machinists
and steel workers come to him with a tear in their eye and thank him for being the only person
willing to go to the mat for them, for their jobs, for their families, and for their futures.
To the hardworking men and women across America and here tonight, you are the reason my father
fights with all of his heart and all of his might.
You are the reason he ran for president in the first place, and you are the reason he is going to keep fighting for four more years.
Four more years.
Four more years.
Four more years.
Four more years.
Four more years.
I remember one evening in early February of 2018.
We were in the Oval Office with my father's top economic advisors and the president was pushing
to keep the promise he made to renegotiate the bad trade deals that had gutted millions of middle class jobs.
Most of his advisors argued that the economy was so strong following our historic tax and regulatory cuts that it didn't make sense to
risk rocking the boat. After the meeting, as I walked with my father back towards the
residence, he said, you know, the reason this has never been done before is because our
leaders haven't had the guts. When the economy is good, they settle for good, and when
things are bad, they don't have the will or ability, so they kick the can until it's
someone else's problem. He was right. If my father didn't take on these fights, no one
would. In the months that followed, President Trump refused to settle for a good.
good deal. He wanted a great deal. And ultimately, that is exactly what we got.
I remember each time he was updated on the progress of the new trade deal with Mexico and Canada.
He would say, don't let down those dairy farmers I met in Wisconsin. I don't want them to like
this deal. I want them to love it.
Today, in the midst of this unprecedented global pandemic, it's more clear than ever that
our president was absolutely correct to take on trade when he did, and bring our jobs,
our factories, and our life-saving medicines back to the USA.
As our nation endures this grave trial, I pray for the families who are mourning the loss
of a loved one. For those who are battling COVID-19 and for the first responders and the
healthcare heroes who remain on the front line of this fight, the grief, sorrow, and anxiety
during this time is felt by all. I've been with my father and I've seen the pain in his eyes
when he receives updates on the lives that have been stolen by this plague. I have witnessed
him make some of the most difficult decisions of his life. I sat with him in the
in the Oval Office as he stopped travel to Europe. I watched him take the strongest,
most inclusive economy in a lifetime, the lowest unemployment in a half century, and the highest
wage increase for working families in decades, and close it down to save American lives.
It is why our president rapidly mobilized the full force of government and the private sector
to produce ventilators within weeks, to build the most robust testing system in the world,
and to develop safe and effective treatments, and very, very soon, a vaccine.
My father isn't deterred by defeatist thinkers. The word impossible, well, it only motivates him.
Donald Trump rejects the cynical notion that this country's greatest achievements are behind us.
He believes that nothing is beyond our reach, and that the best is yet to come.
I have seen all of my life how my dad believes in the potential of each individual.
Earlier this evening, we were all inspired by the incredible testimony of Alice Johnson.
A great grandmother who was sentenced to life in prison,
for a first-time non-violent drug offense.
I was with my father when he decided to commute Alice's life sentence.
Together we watched Alice leave prison after nearly 22 years.
As she ran into the arms of her family and they celebrated a joyful reunion,
my father got very quiet.
I could see the emotion on his face.
After a long silence, he looked at me and said,
imagine how many people there are just like Alice.
From that point on, he became a voice for those who had been unfairly silenced in our prison system.
President Trump rectified the disparities of the 1994 Biden crime bill that disproportionately hurt African Americans.
Against all odds, he brought together Republicans and Democrats and passed the most significant criminal justice reform of our generation, and we're just getting started.
My father did not campaign on this issue.
He tackled this injustice because he has a deep compassion for those who have been treated unfairly.
More than rhetoric and political prose, the ability to build consensus and achieve bipartisan success will help heal our country's racial inequities and bring us forward together.
President Trump is advancing the American values of work and family.
Four years ago in Cleveland, I said President Trump would deliver for working women.
Last year, over 70% of all new jobs were secured by women.
Four years ago, I told you my father would focus on making child care affordable and accessible.
In President Trump's first term, we secured the largest ever increase for child care funding,
giving more than 800,000 low-income families great child care at a cost they can afford.
As part of Republican tax cuts, in 2019 alone, our child tax credit put over $2,000
into the pockets of 40 million American families.
introduced a plan to increase the child tax credit. Yet when I was fighting less
than three years ago at the president's direction to get Congress to double the
child tax credit, not a single Democrat voted to pass the law. We got it done
anyway.
Four years ago, I promised that President Trump would support mothers in the
workforce. In his first year in office, he signed into law the first ever national
paid leave tax credit. Today, eight million more Americans have access to this benefit.
Four years ago, I said that Americans needed an economy that permits people to rise again. During
President Trump's first three years in office, 72% of all new jobs went to Americans who had
been outside of the workforce.
Four years ago, I told you I would fight alongside my father, and four years later, here I am.
Many of the issues my father is championed are not historically Republican priorities.
Yet where Washington chooses sides, our president chooses common sense, where politicians choose party, our president chooses people.
Since the day he took the oath of office, I've watched my father take on the failed policies of the past and do what no leader has done before.
Recently, he took dramatic action to cut the cost of prescription drugs, despite fielding angry calls from the CEOs of nearly every major pharmaceutical company.
Now, when we see attack ads paid for by Big Pharma, my dad smiles and says to me,
You know, we're doing something really right if they're hitting us so hard.
This spring, our president saw that American crops were going to waste because food supply chains were disrupted by the virus.
He directed Secretary Purdue and me to find a way to get this nutritious food, fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and dairy to families most in need.
Within a matter of days, we launched the Farmers to Family Food Box program, which is now delivered over a hundred million meals into the hands of American families.
To protect the most vulnerable among us, I've worked alongside the president as he signed into law nine pieces of legislation to combat the evil.
of human trafficking.
I've stood by my father's side at Dover Air Force Base as he's received our fallen heroes.
And each time it has steeled his resolve to finally stop, finally stop the endless foreign wars.
To change the paradigm in the Middle East, he took a fresh approach. I heard
foreign leaders beg him not to move the American embassy to Jerusalem.
Yet he delivered on a promise also made and unfulfilled by past presidents because my father
knew that it was the right thing to do.
Defying all expectations just weeks ago, he rewrote history again by making a peace agreement
in the Middle East, the biggest breakthrough in a quarter century.
For the first time,
For the first time, in a long time, we have a president who has called out Washington's hypocrisy, and they hate him for it.
Dad, people attack you for being unconventional, but I love you for being real, and I respect
you for being effective.
Our president refuses to surrender his beliefs to score point with the political elite.
To my father, you are the elite.
You are the only people he cares about scoring points with.
If these problems were easy to solve, previous presidents would have done this.
so, but you don't achieve different results by doing things the same way.
Washington has not changed Donald Trump.
Donald Trump has changed Washington.
America doesn't need another.
America doesn't need another empty vessel who will do whatever the media and the fringe of his party demands.
Now more than ever, America needs four more years of a warrior in the White House.
Tonight, I could not be more proud to introduce my father, a man I know, was made for this moment in history.
my fellow Americans, our first lady, and the 45th president of the United States, Donald J. Trump.
to speak soon in this nonsense celebration as he walks in. Hey, Melania's holding his hand. That's
a difference. I just want to let you know about the programming that's coming up. So after
Trump's speech, stay right here. We'll obviously analyze Trump's speech, Ivanka's speech,
which we don't have time to analyze right now because she said a lot of things. I actually thought
it was one of the better speeches given. So if that's controversial, it was good.
It was good. So too. All right, we'll talk about that afterwards too. We'll summarize the whole
R&C for you guys. And I've yet to drop the video. Rebellion Pack has a new video against
Joe Kennedy, a Democrat. I think you guys are gonna love it. There's parts of it that are
awesome. Okay, so that's after our analysis. Stay right here. While he's still coming up,
I'm gonna actually give a shout out to you guys. These are new YouTube channel members
that sign up just now. Red to Go Blue, Wesley Rowley, Harrison Sage, William Haney, Kimberly
Dominguez, K. Kadochuk, Aaron Peters, and Brendan McKeever. We love you guys. What you're looking
out right there is a super spreader event. Most people are not wearing masks. I'll talk about it later.
This is to satisfy Donald Trump's ego. He demanded a crowd like this. All right, now let's go to them.
American when it means I go right to me
And I won't forget the men who died
Who may get right to me
And I can't stand up
Next to you
And it meant her still today
Because there ain't no doubt
I got this left
Not just the US
Thank you very much.
Thank you very much.
Thank you.
Thank you very much.
Friends, delegates, and distinguished guests, please.
I stand before you tonight, honored by your support,
proud of the extraordinary progress we have made together
over the last four incredible years,
and brimming with confidence in the bright future
we will build for America over the next four years.
We begin this evening.
Our thoughts are with the wonderful people
who have just come through the wrath of Hurricane Laura.
We are working closely with state and local officials
in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi,
sparing no effort to save lives.
While the hurricane was fierce, one of the strong.
longest to make landfall in 150 years, the casualties and damage were far less than thought
possible only 24 hours ago.
And this is due to the great work of FEMA, law enforcement, and the individual states.
I will be going this weekend, and congratulations.
Thank you for that great job out there.
We really appreciate it.
We are one national family,
and we will always protect love and care for each other.
Here tonight are the people who have made my journey possible
and filled my life with so much joy.
For her incredible service to our nation and its children,
I want to thank our magnificent First Lady.
Thank you, thank you.
Thank you.
I also want to thank my amazing daughter, Ivanka, for that introduction.
and to all of my children, Ivanka, please stand up.
Thank you.
And to all of my children and grandchildren,
I love you more than words can express.
I know my brother Robert is looking down on us right now from heaven.
He was a great brother and was very proud of the job we are all doing.
Thank you.
We love you, Robert.
Let us also take a moment to show our profound appreciation for a man who has always fought by our side
and stood up for our values, a man of deep faith and steadfast conviction, our Vice President Mike Pence.
And Mike is joined by his beloved wife, a teacher and military mom, Karen Pence.
Thank you, Karen.
I play by play as he's talking.
Americans tonight with a heart full of gratitude and boundless optimism, I profoundly accept
this nomination for President of the United States.
Okay. So, yeah, he tried to make sure his VP did overshadow him. That's why he picked Mike Pence.
That's probably the most mission accomplished thing he's ever done. Right. So give him credit
for that one. My plan's ain't overshadowing anyone.
The shout out to Malania was, you know, I always find it amusing.
So, so far he said nothing.
He's reading from a teleprompter, which he doesn't like to do.
He's gotten a slightly better, but still sounds robust.
Abraham Lincoln goes forward, united, determined, and ready to welcome millions of Democrats,
independence, and anyone who believes in the greatness of America and the righteous heart
of the American people.
I'm surprised.
Lincoln rappers was not saying his polling is better than even Lincoln's.
We will again build the greatest economy in history, quickly returning to full employment, soaring incomes, and record prosperity.
20 million people are out of work.
We will defend America against all threats and protect America against all dangers.
We will lead America into new frontiers of ambition and discovery, and we will reach for new heights of national achievement.
We will rekindle new faith in our values, new pride in our history, and a new spirit of unity that can only be realized through love for our great country.
Because we understand that America is not a land cloaked in darkness.
America is the torch that enlightens the entire world.
By making sure you guys never vote again.
Beautiful and majestic White House, known all over the world as the people's house.
We cannot help but marvel at the miracle that is our great American story.
This has been the home of larger than life figures like Teddy Roosevelt and Andrew Jackson
who rallied Americans to bold visions of a bigger and brighter future.
Within these walls lived tenacious generals like President Grant and Eisenhower
who led our soldiers in the cause of freedom.
John Kelly.
grounds Thomas Jefferson sent Lewis and Clark on a daring expedition to cross a wild
and unchartered continent in the death just say St. Louis and Clark did he bloody civil war
I think he almost did. President Abraham Lincoln looked out these very windows upon a half-completed
Washington monument and asked God in his providence to save our nation.
He believes after Pearl Harbor.
He definitely knew all of this before today.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt welcomed Winston Churchill.
And just inside, they set our people on a course to victory in the Second World War.
In recent months, our nation and the entire planet has been struck by a new and powerful, invisible enemy.
Like those brave Americans before us, we are meeting this challenge.
We are delivering life-saving therapies and will produce a vaccine before the end of the year,
or maybe even sooner.
That sounds safe.
Sounds like it's going to be a great idea.
Yeah, super safe to rush it along.
Anyway, yeah, we're meeting this challenge very poorly, worst cases and worst deaths in the country.
in the world.
Four percent of the world's population, 20 percent of COVID deaths, so.
What united generations passed was an unshakable confidence in America's destiny and
an unbreakable faith in the American people.
They knew that our country is blessed by God and has a special purpose in this world.
It is that conviction that inspired the formation of our union, our westward, and our westward, and
expansion, the abolition of slavery, the passage of civil rights, the space program, and
the overthrow of fascism, tyranny, and communism.
This towering American spirit has prevailed over every challenge and lifted us to the summit
of human endeavor.
And yet, despite all of our greatness as a nation, everything we have achieved.
is now in danger.
This is the most important election in the history of our country.
Ever said his life.
Most important election of our lifetimes.
Might be the last one if you was.
For years.
I feel like that's an ad for get out the vote for the Democratic Party.
for the Democratic Party. Like when people hear four more years, oh Jesus Christ, no,
all right, I'm going to vote. Have voters faced a clearer choice between two parties, two visions,
two philosophies, or two agendas? This election will decide whether we save the American dream
or whether we allow a socialist agenda to demolish our cherished destiny.
It will decide whether we rapidly create millions of high-paying jobs or whether we crush our industries and send millions of these jobs overseas, as has foolishly been done for many decades.
Your vote will decide whether we protect law-abiding Americans or whether we give free reign to violent anarchists and agitators and criminals who threaten our citizens.
distance. And this election will decide whether we will defend the American way of life or whether
we will allow a radical movement to completely dismantle and destroy it. That won't happen.
