You're listening to the Young Turks, the online news show.
Make sure to follow and rate our show with not one, not two, not three, not four, but five stars.
You're awesome. Thank you.
Jane Q. Granite, I'm with you guys.
I'm in D.C. in a hotel with weird wallpaper and Anna's in the studio in L.A.
So we got a big show ahead, of course. Do we have a deal? Don't we have a deal?
Is this war ever going to end?
Some late breaking news on that, that's actually very, very relevant.
And then Donald Trump thinks he's God, of course.
And then unfortunately, AOC comes out with statements that need to be addressed.
So all of that on tonight's show, Casper, what are we starting with?
We're going to go ahead and start with the failure that took place over the weekend.
And yes, I'm talking about the alleged negotiations between the United States and Iran.
Let's get right to it.
We've had a number of substantive discussions with the Iranians.
That's the good news.
The bad news is that we have not reached the agreement.
And I think that's bad news for Iran much more than it's bad news for the United States of America.
So we go back to the United States having not come to an agreement.
We've made very clear what our red lines are, what things we're willing to accommodate them on,
and what things we're not willing to accommodate them on.
And we've made that as clear as we possibly could.
And they have chosen not to accept our terms.
That was Vice President J.D. Vance standing in front of two Israeli assets who unfortunately were included in these so-called negotiations with the Iranians over the weekend.
Of course, I'm speaking about Steve Whitkoff, Trump's Middle East envoy, and Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law, who doesn't have any official White House role.
Now, the vice president failed to secure a deal with the Iranians over the weekend, which shouldn't really come as a surprise.
And this means that the war is on, although the two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran seems to be holding.
Now, the Strait of Hormuz, unfortunately, remains closed.
And it looks like Trump has decided to solve the blockade by doing a blockade of his own.
So we'll get to that temper tantrum and warn just a second.
But, Jank, first, your two cents.
Yeah, so good news, bad news here, guys.
So the bad news is as Anna is about to explain to you, double blocking this trade of hormones
doesn't solve anything, it's counterproductive.
But the good news is just read a breaking news story that gave me a little bit more hope
than I came in with just five, ten minutes ago.
So I'll explain that after Anna explains all the facts of what's happened so far.
So following the failed talks, Vance warned that Washington has made Tehran its final
and best offer for a deal, adding quote,
we'll see if the Iranians accept it.
Iran's parliament speaker, Mohamed Ghalibov,
said that he had put forward constructive initiatives,
but the US team did not win Iran's trust,
nor should they feel that the United States
should be trusted.
On multiple occasions, the United States
pretended to engage in peace negotiations,
and then sucker punched Iran
by attacking them militarily in the middle of so-called,
called peace negotiations.
And there were also some tale tale signs that these talks weren't really going to amount to
much.
The first being what I referenced earlier, Jared Kushner, who has literally known Netanyahu
since he was a child.
So I wonder who he's gonna be representing here.
You also have Steve Whitkoff who sabotaged the peace talks earlier, claiming that the Iranians
were a week away from having a nuclear weapon, or at least they allegedly told him they were
a week away from having a nuclear weapon.
No one believed that, no one should believe that.
And in fact, during the last round of negotiations, before this weekend, right?
Before the war even started, Iran had actually agreed to some concessions that they had not
even agreed to under the JCPOA, the Iran nuclear deal, which was brokered and accomplished
by the Obama administration.
Secondly, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does not want an end to this war, and that
has been abundantly clear. Unfortunately, he appears to have his claws around Vance's neck as well.
Former Israeli intelligence agent Barack Ravid, who now moonlights as a journalist over at Axios,
relayed the message from Netanyahu to the American people. Netanyahu had a cabinet meeting,
quote, I spoke yesterday with Vice President J.D. Vance. He called me from his plane on his way back
from Islamabad. He reported to me in detail, as this administration does every day about the developments of the
negotiations. In this case, the explosion in the negotiations, the explosion came from the American
side, which could not tolerate Iran's blatant violation of the agreement to enter the negotiations.
What? The agreement was that they would cease fire and the Iranians would immediately open
the gates, meaning open the Strait of Hormuz. They did not do that. Okay, let me pause for a second.
The reason why they didn't do that is because what was agreed upon, what the US later
pretended didn't exist and reneged on, was the idea that the ceasefire applies to everyone,
including Israel's relentless bombing and annexation of southern Lebanon.
Nanyahu knows that.
Nanyahu continued bombing Lebanon, in fact, dropped over a hundred bombs on Lebanon within
ten minutes, carpet bombing the country, in an effort to destroy any.
opportunity for a ceasefire, any opportunity for peace.
And Iran wasn't gonna let that stand.
And he knows that, he knows that.
But let me continue with the rest of his statement.
He also made it clear to me that the main issue on the agenda for Trump and the United States
is the removal of all enriched uranium and ensuring that there is no more enrichment in the coming years.
So you get the point, Netanyahu insists on poison pills.
Of course, he would never sacrifice IDF soldiers to go retrieve the enriched uranium.
He's expecting US soldiers to do that.
But that is militarily difficult to do.
And I do believe that the big story a while ago about how the US went in and saved a missing
US pilot.
Now I'm gonna tell you about someone that is a partner of ours that our audience loves.
If you know me, I'm always out of time.
When I need a fresh meal, that's delicious and nutritious.
My go to is Cook Unity.

I recently tried jerk chicken rasta pasta in my last order.
Why did I pick that one?
Because the name sounded fun.

So it's high protein.
It gave me the energy.
I needed to finish the day strong and I like to finish the day strong.
These aren't boring repetitive meals.
I've done a lot of them.

Was really a cover story.
I do think that there was a special operation that went awry and that special operation
likely had to do with retrieving that enriched uranium.
But Jake, before I give you some more details and how embarrassing this is for the American
people, what are your thoughts?
Yeah, so look,
Trump double closing the straight of whore moves as we talked about.
Well, all that'll do is the drive up oil prices even more.
So get back into that.
But we haven't gotten to that quite yet, Jank.
Sorry.
No, I know.
I know.
Anna, I know.
That's why I said we'll get back into it.
So now in terms of of J.D. Vance.
So in those negotiations, the breaking news is also for Maxios.
So they say the Iranians were really mad at that JD Vance press conference because they thought they were actually relatively close, which I actually took to be a good sign, Anna, because no, no, I'll tell you why, because I didn't think we were close at all.
And it turns out America wanted Iran to end their enrichment program for 20 years.
Now, there's a lot of things that you can think about that offer.
But apparently Iran countered with a single digit years.
The fact that they even countered was a bit surprising to me and a good sign that they actually do want to end the conflict.
And then they were talking about what to do with the already enriched uranium.
And Iran made an offer about how they could, you know, mollify some of our concerns by having it basically.
watered down by other countries. Again, surprisingly conciliatory, given that they have the leverage.
So if that's how Iran really thinks, we actually can't have a deal. But to your earlier point,
Anna, you know, I just throughout all this, when I say, like, it doesn't really quite matter what
America or Iran wants. Exactly. Exactly. We, we never wanted this war in the first place,
and neither did Iran. So we all have to keep looking back at, yes, but what does
you know, Netanyahu want because he's apparently the only one that matters.
And the fact that advances like calling him right after the talks is embarrassing.
Enormously strange. That is not at all normal, man.
You don't you check in with your own president.
You don't check in with the prime minister of a different country after the talks.
It's really crazy.
Consider- You can have a whole question about it, but we'll, you go ahead, Anne.
No, no, but considering the fact that Netanyahu and Mossad lied their way into us,
going to war with Iran and it's been a complete,
nother disaster, not just for the United States,
not just for Iran, not just for the whole of the Middle East,
but for the globe.
This war has been a complete, utter disaster.
And remember what led to Trump agreeing to do this in the first place.
You have Netanyahu in the situation room with US officials,
with the president of the United States.
Trump wasn't even sitting at the head of the table,
okay, he was sitting across from Netanyahu as equals.
Bitch, you're in our country and you shouldn't be in our situation room.
So the fact that they convinced Trump based on lies to go to war with Iran and they're still,
you still have Vance and Trump hitting up Netanyahu.
Daddy, daddy, we have updates for you.
It's so humiliating.
It's so embarrassing.
We don't live in a sovereign country.
Anyone who thinks that this is normal is completely wrong.
You think you have like the prime minister of freaking Armenia in the situation room?
You think you have the leader of Spain in the situation room?
No other foreign leader is included in situation room meetings.
But anyway, yeah, go ahead, Jay.
No, just real quick to that point.
So it's one thing to be in this situation room.
And then it's another thing that Rubio, Vance, and others apparently told the president that when he was in there,
he definitively lied about two really important things.
Now, the reality is he actually lied about everything, but even Vance and Rubio acknowledged that he lied about how easy it would be to do regime change and how, you know, well, I think the Shah's son would be received, et cetera.
So if you have a foreign leader who you made the mistake of inviting into the situation room and then he lies at you 24-7, and then you're still calling him and asking him for permission to do certain things, no.
No, no, you don't trust that guy anymore.
I mean, look, we all knew this from day one.
But that gets to the very, very bottom line in it, which is look, if Trump was actually
making decisions based on being convinced, well, then okay, then he could be convinced of a
lot of things.
The guy is very, very fickle, right?
But is it really being convinced or is he just being given orders because the blackmail
issue?
And we don't know.
No, we don't know.
We don't know.
And the blackmail issue is certainly something that, you know, that's not.
we need some clarity on because seeing our president carry out the orders of a foreign leader
to the detriment of the American people is unacceptable.
All right, so I want to move on to the issue of the Strait of Hormuz and the fact that it
is still blocked by the Iranians because they have control over the strait, whether the U.S.
likes it or not.
So President Donald Trump's behavior and our government's treatment of what's going down in the Middle
The way that they've engaged in negotiations has been embarrassing to say the least.
And since the so-called negotiations failed over the weekend between the United States and the
Iranians, Trump decided to engage in a full-blown temper tantrum by threatening a further blockade
of the Strait of Hormuz.
So he's upset that the Iranians have blocked the Strait of Hormuz, which is why he is going
to retaliate by doing a double block of the Strait of Hormuz.
of Hormuz? Okay. So I'm not kidding. This is literally what he's threatening. Take a look.
We have a blockade going into effect. That'll be 10 o'clock tomorrow. Other nations are working
so that Iran will not be able to sell oil. But there are many boats heading toward our
country to fill up with oil and then go and take it. So they're not going to go through
the Hormone straight. And ultimately that'll be corrected. But in the meantime, they're using us.
Is this the 4D chess that Trump's cult likes to point to when they're trying to provide cover for really stupid decisions?
He also posted about this in a lengthy truth social post, saying effective immediately, the U.S. Navy, the finest in the world, will begin the process of blockading any and all ships trying to enter or leave the Strait of Hormuz.
Any Iranian who fires at us or at peaceful vessels will be blown to hell.
And in regard to Iran only allowing the ships of its allies to pass through the strait of Hormuz,
Trump says this, this is world extortion.
I have also instructed our Navy to seek and interdict every vessel in international waters
that has paid a toll to Iran.
No one who pays an illegal toll will have safe passage on the high seas.
We will also begin destroying the mines the Iranians laid in the street.
straits. Now, complicating the story just a little bit is how China has responded to this. So
China has kind of been in the backdrop. Remember, they rely pretty heavily on Iran for their oil.
And so let's go to Graphic 10 here because it turns out that in a direct message to the
Trump administration and the U.S. Navy, China's defense minister says Chinese ships will continue
transiting the Strait of Hormuz through agreements with Iran. And once the U.S.
not to meddle in our affairs. So the individual we're talking about here is Chinese defense
minister, Admiral Dong Jun, who says that Chinese ships are currently moving in and out of the
waters of the Strait of Hormuz. He confirms that China has existing trade and energy agreements
with Iran, that China will respect and honor. Explicitly states, Iran controls the Strait of
Hormuz, and it is open for us, recognizing Iranian sovereignty over transit. Now, what's
Also very interesting is, well, the way that he, President Donald Trump reacted to a question
from Fox business anchor Maria Bartaromo, she's a little bit worried about the cost of oil
and the shenanigans that Trump is engaging in and how that's going to impact the cost of oil.
Take a look at how honest the president is here and how scared she looks.
So do you believe the price of oil and gas will be lower before the midterm elections?
I hope so. I mean, I think so. It could be. It could be or the same or maybe a little bit higher, but it should be around the same. I think this won't be that much longer.
Maria Bartaramo looks concerned to say the least. Here's a screenshot of her expression immediately after he said, could be higher. She looks like she's about to have a panic attack. I'll get to the Iranians and their response to Trump in just a moment. But, Jenk, first, I want to hear what you think.
Yeah, so there's a lot of things that were telling in that clip.
So first of all, he starts with like, it could be lower, it could be around the same price.
Could be higher though, right?
So when Trump says that, that means it's going to be higher.
Yes. He knows it's going to be higher.
If he thought it was going to be lower, he'd be like, yeah, it's going to be the lowest price you've ever seen in your life.
No one's ever known low more than I know low, right?
So number two, Maria Bartromo's mind at that moment was screaming, oh no, the mark
My beloved markets, right?
Yeah, although the markets are impervious to anything, they're amazing.
They're like back to skyrocketing.
And you know why?
They think that Trump is totally full of crap and has already given up.
Like they're sure that we're just basically surrendering to Iran, but with the straight of
whore moves open and that we're going to leave.
So I don't know, maybe the markets are right.
But that's how they're assessing this right now.
So but of course the logic of double closing the trade of foremost leads you to even less oil getting out.
Hence, you know, supply and demand being affected and oil prices going higher.
And today they did go above $100.
And so that was supposed to be a threshold that that was deeply problematic.
So we're already in the deeply problematic area.
And so and then finally,
like Trump seemed to indicate there that this might not get clarified by the midterms.
I know. That's in November. So that concerned me because does that mean we're gonna send in
ground troops and we're gonna stay there a while? What order has Netanyahu already given to
Trump that we don't know about? Well, we're gonna find out eventually. But in regard to the
price of oil in regard to Trump's blockade of the Hormuz Strait, he is claiming that countries are now
coming to the United States to buy our oil, and he's kind of framing it as a big benefit to the
American people, even though our oil or our natural resources are not at all nationalized,
and ordinary Americans don't stand to benefit at all. In fact, what Trump is doing by
double blocking the Strait of Hormuz is further restricting the supply of fossil fuels.
And if countries then turn to us to buy what we have, there's no indication that that's going to lower our gas prices at the pump or anything like that.
I mean, it's just a complete, an utter joke.
But I want to quickly go to the Iranians who usually respond to Trump's temper tantrums by mocking him.
So I'll give you a few examples.
Iran's Navy chief, Sharam Iranian, called Trump's threat to blockade the Strait of Hormuz ridiculous.
quote, the brave men of the naval force of the army of the Islamic Republic of Iran are
monitoring and supervising all the movements of the aggressive American army in the region.
The threats of the U.S. president to blockade Iran at sea are very ridiculous and funny.
Mohamed Ghalibov, who is the parliament speaker of Iran and was involved in the talks
over the weekend with the United States, says that they won't give into bullying by the U.S.
If they fight, we will fight.
And if they come forward with logic, we will deal with logic.
We will not bow to any threats.
Let them test our will once again so we can teach them a bigger lesson.
Soon you'll be nostalgic for four to five dollar gas.
So they are not at all deterred from the threats, you know, lobbed at them by Donald Trump.
Now Trump went on to threaten Iran with more crimes, war crimes
specifically while on Fox News.
So let's take a quick look at that.
I was looking at some Earth Day and climate change designs on ShopT-T-Y-T-YT
and really wanted to order a few shirts.
I was ready to check out, but then I realized I left my wall in another room.
It's so frustrating.
I really didn't want to get up and look for it.
Then a light bulb moment.

They're getting killed.
I can take out or run in one day.
could take down in one hour, I could have their entire energy, everything, every one of their
plants, their electric generating plants, which is a big deal. And I hate to do it because if I do it,
it takes you 10 years to rebuild. They'll never be able to rebuild it. And the other thing you
take out are the bridges. I took out one just to show them because they went public with a
statement that wasn't true. They admitted it. I say, I'm going to take out a bridge. And I took out a bridge.
And that was the end of that. Now they've been really behaving quite well. But in one half of a day,
they wouldn't have one bridge standing. They wouldn't have one electric generating plant standing.
And they're back in the Stone Ages. I'd rather not do that. But I do believe they're going to come to the table on this because
nobody can be so stupid as to say that we want to have nuclear weapons and they have no cards. They have no cards whatsoever.
Now, despite what President Trump is saying about Iran not having any cards, Supreme
Leader Moshhtapah Kaminet actually warned that Iran has quite a few cards.
And in fact, in this next video, you'll know exactly what he's referring to.
Bab al-Mandab, which is a different area where the Iranians could use their proxy, the
Houthis in Yemen, to try to block off international shipping.
And they have threatened to do this if there is a blockade on their ports near the Strait of Hormuz.
Now we saw in the past the Houthis getting directly involved in this conflict.
And Brian, you and I have talked about this.
It's a major concern that the Iranians may try to use one of their largest proxies, the Houthis,
to launch missiles or drones at vessels in the Red Sea.
So we'll have a blockade on the Strait of Hormuz, which is bad enough.
And if the US continues to retaliate against Iran, Iran is saying, well, we'll activate the Houthis,
and they'll do a blockade in the Red Sea.
disaster.
Jank back to you.
Yeah, first of all, I have to note on a lighter note that Ray Bardooma has that Winona
Rider look going on.
She looks terrified, I know, it's amazing.
Okay, I'm like, I agree it is stranger things that are happening right now.
We're in the upside down, but that was so similar to Winona Ryder's look.
Anyways, now on to important points.
What's our leverage and what's Iran's leverage, right?
Our leverage is our military.
Our military can wipe out almost anything and we have.
We wiped out whatever air force they might have had, Navy, et cetera, some of their missiles.
But did that really get the job done?
Well, what's the ultimate objective?
The objective was to get their enriched uranium, to do regime change, et cetera, and then we
haven't done either one of those things.
So now their goal is to get us the hell out of there.
And now they're like, wait, did we just stumble onto the lottery here where we're gonna get to charge $2 million of ship from here on out in the Strait of Hormuz?
That likely not, but they wanna stop getting bombed and they don't want to give over their foreign policy to Israel and or give up their nuclear energy program, right?
So what's their leverage?
Their leverage is the world markets because of the price of oil and how affects the rest of the global economy.
And they have complete control over that because they have control over the Strait of Hormuz.
So our leverage, the military, can only take us so far.
But it apparently can't get us to enrich uranium and it can't get us regime change.
Their leverage could bleed us dry.
And it is bleeding us dry.
And we're super worried about it.
And the longer it goes on, the bigger damage gets done to our economy.
So that hurts Trump and his party politically, but it hurts our country.
And not just the Western world, but the whole world economy overall.
So when you look at the two sides leverage, the one that matters more is the economic one that Iran has.
So Trump constantly talking about how our military is better is a misdirection.
While that's true, it's not the relevant point in this particular war.
That's exactly right.
That's why it's referred to as an asymmetric war.
While the U.S. is relying on military might, military power, you have Iran leaning into their economic.
leverage. So we'll see how this plays out, but Trump's not winning, and I think he's aware of that.
Rather than directing his ire toward others, he should probably direct his ire toward those who
convinced him to engage in this war in the first place. But I doubt that's going to happen.
Those are his masters, after all. We've got to take a break when we come back a lot more to get
into, including blasphemy from the president of the United States.
I'm a very stable genius.

All right, Casper, what's that?
Just a quick update on the Strait of Hormuz, despite President Donald Trump's threats
to block the Strait of Hormuz, which by the way, he didn't provide any details on how we
would even do that.
In the last 36 hours between 15 and 20 ships have passed through the straits.
The ships are from China, Russia, Pakistan, and Iran.
So our president is embarrassing.
Okay, now further embarrassing the American people is Trump's blasphemy and mockery of religion,
particularly the Catholic faith. Let's get into it.
I would invite the citizens of all the countries involved to contact the authorities,
political leaders, congressmen, to ask them, tell them to work for peace and to reject war always.
Why did you attack Pope Leo on truth social?
I don't think he's doing a very good job.
He likes crime, I guess.
We don't like it.
We don't like a Pope that's going to say that it's okay to have a nuclear weapon.
We don't want a Pope that says crime is okay in our cities.
I don't like it.
I'm not a big fan of Pope Leo.
I'm not a big fan of Pope Leo, says President Donald Trump,
who also alleged that Pope Leo wants Iran to have nukes, which just isn't true.
Now, no one is immune from becoming Donald Trump's enemy, and that includes the Pope, clearly.
Over the weekend, the president declared that Pope Leo is too liberal and weak on crime.
But before we get to why Trump is seething over the head of the Catholic Church, Jank, your two cents.
So look, if you thought Trump had any sense before, this story is going to prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that he doesn't.
I mean, forget pissing off tens of millions of Catholics in the country for no apparent reason.
What he did with the blasphemous picture is unreal, unreal and inexplicable other than he's an raging moron and narcissists.
Absolutely.
Now, it is true that Pope Leo, by the way, the first U.S. born Pope, has been incredibly critical of the Trump administration.
for a number of reasons.
The handling of the genocide in Gaza is one example.
The administration's decision to kidnap Nicholas Maduro and his wife from Venezuela.
The militarized and brutal behavior of ice agents in American cities.
Now the Pope has even turned down an invite to the White House,
which I'm sure Trump did not like.
But lately, Pope Leo has been vocal against the war in Iran, including
including Trump's threat to wipe out the entire Iranian civilization.
Let me just note how ironic it is that we are allegedly at war with Iran because we must
prevent an irrational actor from obtaining nukes.
And as a result, a nuclear power like the United States is threatening to use nukes.
I mean, it's amazing, it really is.
But here's what Pope Leo had to say about the war.
Today, as we all know, there was this threat against all the people of Iran.
This is truly unacceptable.
Leo recalled his Easter appeal for peace and to reject war, especially a war which many people
have said is an unjust war, which is continuing to escalate and which is not resolving
anything.
And he also condemned Pete Heggzeth.
I mean, he's a target-rich environment.
How could you not condemn Pete Hegseth?
but nonetheless, he specifically went after Hegsith's use of Christianity in order to justify
the U.S. actions in this war in the Middle East, mass slaughter, things like that.
He said in response, God doesn't bless any war and certainly not those who drop bombs.
Leo made similar comments this past Sunday during an evening prayer service saying that
Enough of the idolatry of self and money, enough of the display of power, enough of war,
it is here that we find a bulwark against that delusion of omnipotence that surrounds us
and is becoming increasingly unpredictable and aggressive.
Even the holy name of God, the God of life, is being dragged into discourses of death.
And that common in particular seems to have triggered President Trump into his latest
tantrum. So in another lengthy truth social post, the president wrote that Pope Leo is weak on
crime and terrible for foreign policy, I don't want a Pope who thinks it's okay for Iran to have
a nuclear weapon. Well, I have good news for the president. There's no indication that the Pope
believes that Iran should have a nuclear weapon. Nonetheless, Trump's rant continued. I don't
want a Pope who thinks it's terrible that America attacked Venezuela. And I don't want a Pope who
who criticizes the president of the United States because I'm doing exactly what I was
elected in a landslide to do, setting record low numbers in crime and creating the greatest
stock market in history. The stock market is built on a house of cards. Literally, all it takes
is Trump to lie about how great things are going with Iran. And the markets respond favorably.
It's insane. But aside from that, you ran a campaign that promised that you would not start any new wars.
And then you literally started a war that even George W. Bush wasn't stupid enough to begin.
So I don't know what to tell him.
But obviously, none of the things that Trump claims to have achieved or accomplished or true.
And by the way, he also took credit for Pope Leo being chosen by the Vatican as a pope.
Anyway, despite the backlash, Trump received for that post.
He did double down while talking to reporters. Take a look.
Very good job. He likes crime, I guess. He hit us think of it. He's worried about fear. What about the fear when the ministers and the priests and the, all of those great people that were arrested during COVID. And in many cases, they're outside 10 feet apart and they were arrested. So we don't like it. We don't like a hope that's going to say that it's okay to have a nuclear weapon. We don't want to.
that says crime is okay in our cities.
I don't like it.
I'm not a big fan of Pope Leo.
He's a very liberal person and he's a man that doesn't believe in stopping crime.
He's a man that doesn't think that we should be toying with a country that wants a nuclear
weapon so they can blow up the world.
There is nothing more amusing than the notion of someone who isn't Catholic declaring which
Pope he wants or which Pope he doesn't want.
Your opinion on the Pope doesn't matter at all.
But the Pope did respond to Trump's comments and defended his position on the matter.
Take a look.
Blessed are the peacemakers.
Funny how that part of the religion tends to get left out by the war mongers that serve
the US government.
But Jank, curious what you think about this TIF.
Okay, so I'm against the Pope because he's against war.
All the popes are against war.
Does the schmuck not know that?
Like Jesus, to be fair, is called the prince of war mongering.
Oh, no, right.
He's called the prince of peace, right?
So he doesn't know a single thing about Christianity.
He's an utter fool.
So it's like the president is not the pope.
So sometimes you have to go to war.
We understand that, right?
But the pope is always going to tell you not to go to war, especially in unjust wars like this.
So you don't have to get angry about it.
It isn't an affront to your ego, Donald Trump.
And then Pope's weak on crime.
All right.
What does that even mean?
Like he's not a policymaker.
What are you talking about?
So here's a couple of things about why in Donald Trump's crazy head, Pope might be weak on crime.
One, the popes are always against the death penalty.
So we're weak on crime.
But pro life.
life that it's been doctrine our entire lives. But again, he just might not know anything,
right? Trump. And then the Pope is, Pope Leo is, wants us to take care of immigrants and not be mean
and unkind. Inhumane. Yeah. And so he thinks it's a weak on crime. Well, let me quote
someone else that weighed in on this. They said, when a foreigner
among you and your land, do not mistreat them.
The foreigner residing among you must be treated
as your native born.
Love them as yourself.
For you are foreigners in Egypt.
I am the Lord, your God.
Let me guess. God's weak on crime.
Okay? And God doesn't know what he's talking about.
God doesn't understand I had to annihilate all civilization.
Okay. Yeah. So, but Trump thinks he's bigger than God
and better than the Pope. And so there is
There's no planet that can contain Trump's ego.
You know, this whole saga, for me at least, has clarified who the genuinely devout Christians
and Catholics are versus those who weaponize their religion for their own means, right?
Because for decades in this country, I feel like the Christian voices who preach about things
that are actually wonderful, right?
your neighbor, treating people with kindness, forgiveness.
Like those are the kinds of things that I personally learned about when I was going to Sunday
school as a kid.
But then I grew up as an adult and the evangelical message kind of dominated everything.
The religious extremism kind of dominated the narrative and painted a specific picture of
religious people in this country.
And I think it drowned out the voices that we're starting to hear more and more from.
And I'm glad we're hearing more and more from them, not just from the Pope, by the way, right?
all sorts of Christians and Catholics who see what's going on in the Middle East, and they are
vociferous in their opposition to the cruelty, the brutality, the mass slaughter, the inhumanity.
And I love that, I love to see that. Trump doesn't obviously, but I personally love to see it.
Now, following the outrage that Trump sparked as a result of his attacks on Pope Leo,
he decided to further double down and, well, you're about to find out.
Transformation requires great sacrifice.
And Mr. President, no one has paid the price like you have paid the price.
It almost cost you your life.
You were betrayed and arrested and falsely accused.
It's a familiar pattern that our Lord and Savior showed us.
But it didn't end there for him and it didn't end there for you.
Paula Kane's comparison of President Donald Trump to Jesus apparently really hit home for the president.
He really liked that.
Because after Trump launched a pretty vicious attack on Pope Leo, meaning the leader of the Catholic Church, of course, he posted this image on truth social.
Let's take a quick look.
It's an AI image of President Trump depicted as Jesus Christ.
It looks like he's blessing or healing an older gentleman who kind of looks like Jeffrey Epstein.
Now, Jank, before we get to the amazing responses to this image, what do you make of this?
Yeah, so there's a couple of things here.
First of all, to be fair to Trump, he's kind of flumming spite because he's used to people comparing him to Jesus and he thinks that's normal.
True.
And so he just compared himself to Jesus and the Lord.
And then he was like, oh, people don't like that.
These Christians are so weird.
He doesn't know anything about Christianity.
I mean, wait until you get to his excuse.
It's hilarious.
But Anna, as I look at this whole, you know, I'm greater than God complex that he has,
I think he's lost another group that we almost never talk about.
So the Catholics are, yeah, are not happy with him, to say the least.
Muslims aren't big fans these days and we can go down the list, right?
But the evangelicals, which have become largely Christian Zionists, have held on for them.
But there's another group of Christians that are gigantic that nobody talks about, and it's
wasps.
White Anglo-Saxon Protestants, you know, the Episcopalians, the Presbyterians, the
Tucker Carlson types.
When I think wasp, I think Tucker Carlson.
And he is a devout Christian.
There's no question about it.
Yeah, who actually like, he recites Bible verses by heart.
Like the guy definitely reads the Bible and he's serious about his religion.
So he's disgusted by some of Trump's rhetoric, especially the threats to wipe out a civilization,
especially his profanity on Easter Sunday.
Sorry to interrupt you, keep going.
Yeah, no, and so now he's really dwindling.
I mean, his base was Christians overall, but now he's down to kind of a third of Christians.
And that ain't anywhere near good enough to maintain what he's had throughout.
And then I'm just gonna give voice to a couple of fun comments from our members.
On t.y.com, Drew 711 said, the Pope loves crime?
I would think a felon who constantly pardons and covers up for criminals is the true lover of crime.
And that's an excellent point.
And then Asimov Prophet even on a lighter note said, let's settle this in the old ways,
the Thunderdome, one Pope, one Trump goes in, but only one comes out. The funny thing is,
like Trump might be like, yeah, no, no, no, you're missing the point. The Pope wouldn't do that.
Could be fun though. Now-
We got Thunderdome. Can you imagine? Okay, so there were fascinating
reactions to Trump posting that depiction of himself as Jesus. Here are,
a few of the truth social replies. One person says, if you call yourself a Christian and you're
not outraged by this, you really need to reevaluate your faith. Another person says, equating
yourself to Jesus, you'll burn in hell, literal blasphemy. If magas were actually Christian,
they would have a big problem with this. Another person says, Mr. Trump, this is blasphemy.
Another person says, WTF is wrong with you.
And in fact, this even pissed off some of his most devout MAGA supporters, MAGA diehards.
I'll give you a few examples.
You've got Michael Knowles, who is a Catholic himself.
He says, I assume someone has already told him, but it behooves the president both spiritually and politically to delete the picture, no matter the intent.
Riley Gaines asks why.
Seriously, I cannot understand why he'd post this.
Is he looking for a response?
Does he actually think this?
Either way, two things are true.
A little humility would serve him well.
God shall not be mocked.
So did Trump respond to the blowback at all?
He did actually.
And the first thing he did was delete the photo
that sparked all the backlash.
Caitlin Collins broke that, saying that it appears,
as if Trump has deleted his post portraying himself
as Jesus after facing some backlash.
from his own supporters.
And he later admitted that he was both the person who posted the image in the first place,
but he for once didn't try to shift the blame onto like one of his staffers.
He admitted, yeah, yeah, I'm the one who posted it.
But that doesn't mean that he didn't have a ridiculous explanation for why he posted that image,
even by Trump standards, by the way.
So without further ado, let's hear what he had to say.
Well, it wasn't to picture it.
It was me.
I did post it, and I thought it was me as a doctor and had to do with Red Cross as a
red cross worker there, which we support.
And only the fake news could come up with that one.
So I had just heard about it.
And I said, how do they come up with that?
It's supposed to be me as a doctor, making people better.
And I do make people better.
I make people a lot better.
You have killed random people in fishing boats in the Caribbean.
What do you mean you make people better?
Look, Jake, there is a possibility that he literally doesn't even know what Jesus looked like or how Jesus is depicted.
Like the guy is clearly not religious, clearly never read the Bible, even though he purported to be religious during a 2016 interview during his campaign.
But something tells me he knew exactly what he was doing and that explanation is complete
BS.
Of course, please put the picture back up.
I mean, look, this is, I mean, look, I'm an atheist and I grew up Muslim and everybody
knows that that's a depiction of the Lord and Savior, right?
I grew up in this country, it's not complicated, but hold a picture because there's one
thing that's amazing about it, which is the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, you know, the
The three figures above him, you see the Eagles, you see the flag, and above him there's
angels. The one in the middle, in the original meme that was put up by Nick Adams actually a couple
of years ago, that's like the alpha male guy, who's hilarious. And this one is actually changed.
So the figure in the middle is a demonic figure with horns on his head and wings. So why?
I don't know why someone changed it to be that.
And then Trump, I don't know if he saw him.
He's like, yeah, I work for the devil.
Let's put this up, right?
Or just didn't pay attention.
It was like, oh yeah, me is Jesus Christ.
Love it.
Repose, re-truth, right?
So, but I mean, you can't put a worse picture up,
especially if you're pretending to be a Christian.
And guys, does anybody believe anybody?
Look, when he was riding high, all of his follows.
or suspended disbelief on everything.
They did.
That's true, yes.
And some of them still do that, right?
But a lot of them have woken up.
And once you wake up, then all this stuff really gets under your skin.
Because especially if you're a good Christian, and you're like, now you're telling me that you're
mocking our Lord?
Like you don't even.
And then when you go back, I bet you when they go back to look at those old tapes, Anna,
they're going to see it fresh for the first time like, oh.
So when they ask him like, which one do you like better, the Old Testament or the New Testament?
He's like, uh, uh, both, both.
I like him both, right?
I remember.
And they ask him, you know, what's your favorite Bible version?
And he's like, uh, uh, I like them all.
I like all the Bible verses.
I know, it's so bad.
No, but you know, I have a theory on this too, Jank.
Look, our politicians, especially over the last few decades, have been so terrible.
And the American people have been so unhappy that suddenly a guy comes onto the political scene,
runs for president, and he seems like he is impossible to censor.
He says it like it is.
And he says in some instances, not all obviously, like he said all sorts of things that we
hated and we disagreed with, especially when he started talking about immigrants and
how they're rapists and murderers and all that stuff.
But he also said some stuff that appeals to Americans, including no new wars, we got to get
out of the Middle East, I want to release the Epstein files.
And so when he was saying those things, I think a lot of his supporters who have since turned
on him were kind of willing to turn a blind eye to, you know, some of his shenanigans,
if you will.
But once he reneges on those incredibly big and important campaign promises, once he involves
the United States in a war with Iran, once it's abundantly clear that he's carrying out the best
interests of Israel as opposed to the American people, yeah, the blasphemy suddenly is very annoying
and very offensive. And I think that's what's going on here. That's my take on it.
Yeah, one last thing about it. Guys, imagine if Obama had done this. I mean, the world would
have exploded, right? It would be the biggest story ever, ever, ever. And including us, we'd say,
Are you crazy? What kind of Barack Obama's head to put himself up as Jesus Christ? That's nuts.
And what's what the devil above him, right? Now, if Joe Biden had done it, we would have thought
that he literally lost his mind. Totally. That the dementia had gone so far that it was unrecoverable.
But it's kind of telling that this is going to be a one day event. And then we're going to, you know,
it's going to be one of hundreds or thousands of crazy things that Trump has done.
is gonna be lost and gone, because Trump is so crazy that he doesn't need dementia.
And we all know he's nuts, but I'd like to remind everyone, he's the president of the United
States and the commander in chief. That's pretty scary.
Yeah, it is scary. I'm over having senile presidents in charge.
We need leaders who know what they're doing, who actually want to lead from a place of peace,
stability, who wants to see the American people thrive. I feel like we haven't had that in a long time.
Anyway, we got to take a break. When we come back, we've got a lot more to get into,
including what I feel is a masterclass in how to handle those who smear you as an anti-Semite
because you are rightfully critical of Israel. We'll be right back.
Try and get to heaven if possible.
I'm hearing I'm not doing well.
Oh, oh.
All right, let's go super chat.
Microdave says, quote, for false Christ and false prophets will rise and perform great signs of wonders.
So it's to lead astray if possible even the elect.
That's Matthew 24.
24.
Hey Christians, can't say your God didn't try to warn you.
That's what he says.
And of course, what I read from before was in Libidicus.
Boxer, I said, as an avid rising viewer, I was stoked to see you.
Jank on this morning. I thought you did great and it made my whole week. Well, thanks for saying
that box. Yeah, I actually filled in as one of the guest anchors on the rising this morning
since I'm in DC. That was fun. I did to Washington Journal C-SPAN on Sunday morning. So whenever
I'm traveling, check out some of these shows and we'll put them up on t.com slash
press. Spirit of Pakistani Jirga force writes in. Trump submitted the worst resume in history
checking every red flag box and somehow landing the CEO position anyway. Yet his cult didn't
just hire. They promoted him after seeing the full disaster report. That's not blind loyalty,
that's the nation saying we've tried everything else and failed worse. So that goes to the point
that Anna was making and we make all the time, which is the reason Trump won is because people
were so upset with the establishment and the status quo. And that's the thing that the media
and Democratic Party won't ever admit because they are the status quo. Mitch Connor says,
left a team Trump in 16 when he ran straight into Israel and kissed the wall.
Thoughts on skipping the 25th and going to a convention of states.
Most of the governor's work for Israel anyway.
Love the show.
Thank you for loving the show.
Convention of the state is a good idea for a different idea.
But it's going to be...
I'm a double.
I'm a double.
All right, back on TYT.
Jane Havana with you guys.
I was just telling him one of the viewers during the break.
that yeah, getting Trump out of office is going to be incredibly difficult.
I still think the same thing, same thing I said, Anna, in the first term, there's some
chance he voluntarily leaves because things are going so poorly as spoiled rich kids take
their ball and go home. But we'll see, we'll see, don't, that's very, very difficult.
Anyway, Chucky Stevens, thanks for joining. We appreciate your brother. He did that on
YouTube. And happy warrior, thank you for giving a membership on YouTube.
You guys, exciting news, we're now on Amazon Prime, our 24 hour channel that's on YouTube TV,
Samsung, LG, Roku, all those places.
Now on Amazon Prime, I checked it out just a couple of days ago, it's awesome, you can see
our 24 hour channel there, so make sure you check it out when you get a chance, that way
you catch all of our shows.
All right, Anna, what's next?
This isn't a story we're gonna cover.
I just came across this right now and I just wanna read it to you so you kind of get a sense
of, I believe what the cultural issue within Israel happens.
to be. So an ex hostage of Hamas, okay, so an Israeli man who was taken hostage by Hamas,
says he was flooded with hate messages from fellow Israelis after a post calling for treating
Arabs with respect. First of all, this Israeli man deserves endless love and respect,
regardless of what members of his own community have to say about him. So the times of Israel
reported about this and if you can, you know, find them on social media, give them some support,
give them some love. People like that deserve support. Anyway. Yeah, just the more telling part of that
is, unfortunately, we've lost Israeli culture. Yeah. I mean, who yells at someone for saying
treat others with respect? So what they're saying is, no, we should never treat Arabs with
respect. They don't even view them as humans. So it's, so there's a lot of Jewish Americans here who still
think like that Israel some lovely place where they went when they were like 17, like 50 years
ago on had a nice picnic at a kibbutz? No, it's mainly run by religious fundamentalists who loathe
people who are non-Jewish now. Exactly. Now I retweeted the story for those who might want to read it
after the show, obviously. Anyway, let's get to our next story. So are you saying he's a slave to
Benjamin Netanyahu? So I don't think it's as simple as he's
under the control of Netanyahu.
But you know, you could summarize it that way and you wouldn't be totally inaccurate.
On Thursday, he called you low IQ, a nut job, a fool.
Also he suggested you should see a good psychiatrist.
Are you gonna continue to love him?
As I've said, I feel sorry for him as I do for all slaves.
Tucker Carlson not only called President Donald Trump a slave to Israel,
which he obviously is.
He also got into a rather testy exchange with BBC anchor Victoria Derbyshire.
And we're gonna get to the details on that in just a moment.
But before we do, Jank, do you think Trump is a slave to Israel?
Well, obviously.
But to be fair, most of our politicians are.
True.
So I agreed with everything Tucker said in that interview.
That was about 20 minutes long.
And what's really interesting is, as you're,
Really interesting is as you watch it guys, I want you to notice how the anchor is constantly
trying to get Tucker, right? So she came in with a mentality. I'm gonna prove he's an
anti-Semite and make sure he never criticizes Israel again. Like it's so obvious and Tucker just
dismantles her. Now before we get to this anchor making passive aggressive anti-Semite
claims against Tucker Carlson, we need to talk a little more about this. Have you completely
fallen out with him over this war then?
Well, I haven't fallen out with him.
I mean, I've known him for decades.
I've always liked him.
And I think anyone who spent time with him likes him.
I feel sorry for him, as I do for all slaves.
He is not free in this moment at all to do what he thinks is best for himself for his country.
What do you mean?
No, he's, well, he's not free.
And we learned that yesterday when Donald Trump announced to ceasefire, clearly with relief
and made its terms or most of its terms public.
And then that ceasefire ended within two hours
because Israel intentionally violated the terms
by attacking not just southern Lebanon,
but the city of Beirut.
So are you saying he's a slave to Benjamin Netanyahu?
So I don't think it's as simple as he's under the control of Netanyahu.
But, you know, you could summarize it that way
and you wouldn't be totally inaccurate.
I mean, he's clearly under the control of Benjamin Netanyahu.
Benjamin Netanyahu and Mossad were in the situation room in the days leading up to the U.S.
going to war with Iran on behalf of Israel.
Okay, Netanyahu is the one who just today declared that he is in talks with Vice President
J.D. Vance and members of our executive branch literally every single day to get updates.
on what we're up to in the Middle East, how we're prosecuting this war against the Iranians.
Obviously, obviously, the federal government is under the control of the Israeli government.
And it's about time that Americans wake up to that reality and actually do something about it.
Because you don't live in a sovereign country when your president is controlled by a foreign leader.
And that's what's happening right now.
That's my take on it.
Jank, your thoughts.
I think you're muted, Jane.
Unmuted there.
Yeah. Yeah. So look, this is one of those trope trip wires. You know how the Iranians like put the
mines in the street of Hormuzu so you can't get past it. The Israelis put trope mines all around
the politics of Israel. So you can't get past it. Every criticism triggers a trope. So for example,
you say big pharma controls Congress, that's obvious. They've got
given billions of dollars to the Congress and we can't negotiate drug prices fine.
Big oil, big defense, fine, everybody's fine.
You get to, the Israeli lobby is given to 94% of Congress.
They go, Trump.
You can't say you're saying to Jews control everyone.
No, no, no, I didn't say that.
I said this lobby, like all other lobbies that are as large as them, controls Congress and the president,
which they're given over $300 million to.
Trow, anti-Semite.
Nonsense.
Yeah.
I mean, okay, so we're going to get to the smears that this anchor tries to engage in,
passive aggressively because, well, I mean, look, if you want to call someone an anti-Semite,
do it openly, clearly.
Instead, she relied on some passive aggressive ways of framing her questions, which we'll get to
in just a minute.
But later in the interview, this BBC anchor, again, Victoria Derbyshire, pretended as though critics
of Israel are not at all being penalized in the UK, which they definitely are, and I'm going to show you
evidence of it in just a minute. But first, take a look at this.
Well, Kirstarmer is every bit as enslaved as Donald Trump is. It is illegal. It is a crime
for which you can be arrested in Britain right now criticizing Israel. If you say you're for
Palestine action, you can be arrested. A lot of people have been arrested. So in other words,
it is not legal in Britain to criticize another country. And that tells you about Britain's sovereignty.
It doesn't have any. Its prime minister has no sovereignty.
Mr. Carlson, that is not true. And in terms of this war, I'm specifically asking.
I'm sorry, what is not true about that?
Are people not been arrested in Britain for criticizing Israel? They certainly have been.
There's videotape a bit.
If I may, Palestine action is a prescribed group. It is banned.
Well, why is it banned?
Now, the UK argues that it engages in terroristic activity, while defending.
the Israelis who actually engage in terroristic activity, but okay, I want to show you
who the so-called terrorists of this group happen to be. Take a look at this.
Armed with pens, paper, and a lot of patience. Thousands of activists staged a sit-down protest
in support of Palestine action, a group banned in July 2025 under the Terrorism Act.
The situation we have at the moment is absurd. I think it was absurd when they arrested the people
before. We've got a 1,000% rise in a number of terrorists in this country just based on old
people being arrested for holding a sign. According to the Metropolitan Police, 523 people
were arrested for showing support for prescribed organization.
Yeah, it's a lot of elderly people holding signs, getting arrested.
They don't look like terrorists to me.
So Tucker Carlson was absolutely right about how people get penalized, arrested, treated poorly
by their own government and law enforcement for having the audacity to speak out against
war crimes and atrocities committed by the Israeli government and military.
The fact that the BBC anchor pretended like this reality doesn't exist tells you everything you need to know about this particular program.
I wouldn't trust it.
She doesn't live in reality or she just flat out decides it's okay.
decides it's okay to lie to her own audience about the facts on the ground.
Jank, back to you.
Yeah, so I thought that was so telling Anna because she's like, what you mean?
It's outrageous.
Wait, hold on.
But did they get arrested for criticizing Israel?
They did.
That's a fact.
So why do you want to cover up the news?
Isn't that weird guys?
And she's like emotional about it too.
Totally.
Totally.
And like, okay, so it may be in Britain, they don't have the same kind of money in politics as we do.
But in America, anybody can buy it U.S. politician.
What they're saying is you're allowed to criticize everyone buying a U.S. politician
except the state of Israel.
And these are not people working for the Israeli government or their PR department.
These are anchors on BBC.
And then, of course, in America, it's even worse.
So why are they weirdly protecting Israel and literally lying while they're doing it?
It's super strange guys.
Finally, we turn to the passive aggressive moment where clearly she's trying to accuse Tucker Carlson of being an anti-Semites.
And he provides a masterclass on how to handle these types of smears.
Take a look.
Pretty much everything that you've said in our conversation, Tucker Carlson, you have put at the door of the Israeli government.
Now to some people, that will be evidence that you are anti-Semitic.
You are anti-Jewish.
Oh, I know.
I'm very anti-Semitic.
Well, first of all, the state of Israel does not speak for all Jews at all, despite its
claims.
It does not.
There are many, many of whom I know who don't think the Israeli government of Benjamin Netanyahu
speaks for them.
I'm speaking of a government, not a religious, no, no, no, hold on, hold on, no, no,
because I wasn't suggesting that.
What I was suggesting was that a lot of the things that you have discussed today.
I understand what a slur looks like, and you're attempting to call me an anti-Semite in a passive
aggressive way. Some people would say that. Well, I'm responding to your slur and saying that it's
untrue. It does not apply to me. Doubt was there are anti-Semites who don't like Israel.
I'm not an anti-Semite. I don't hate Israel. The Israeli government, this is documented, and I saw
it personally, steered the United States into a war that hurts the United States and the world.
I'm offended by that. I didn't want it, and I'm mad about it now. I have every right to feel
that way. That does not make me an anti-Semite despite your insinuation.
So Tucker Carlson says, I'm not an anti-Semite. I don't hate
I do hate Israel and I'm also not an anti-Semite.
Israel is not representative of all Jewish people and in fact the actions of that government
and the current culture within the majority of citizens living in Israel is not representative
of Jewish people or Judaism worldwide, okay?
You can hate a foreign country.
It doesn't mean that you're a bad person, as long as you can explain why it is that you don't
an affinity for that country.
And for me, it's the fact that they steal land, they have an expansionist policy that requires
slaughtering people, displacing people.
They're incredibly entitled.
They think that they're entitled to our money, our soldiers.
Yeah, I've got no love for Israel.
That doesn't mean that I'm an anti-Semite.
I don't have hatred toward Jews, I have hatred toward the current society, okay, culture,
government, and military of Israel.
And that's totally fine.
I don't think that makes you a hateful person.
But Jake, what do you think?
Yeah, a couple things here.
So when the Saudis chopped up Washington Post columnists, I hated the Saudi government.
Did that mean that I hated the Saudi people?
Who would be that irrational?
And especially if you're on the left and you think there's no differences between the races
and religions and backgrounds.
Nobody hates the Saudi people.
We hate the Saudi government for dismembering a person.
Really that's complicated? It's not complicated.
There are people who are pretending that that's what it means are pretending.
They're lying to you on purpose to protect Israel. Okay, so number two, I'm gonna give you a stunning fact.
Did you know that 63% of Jewish Americans say they love Israel, but are against the current Israeli government?
They're opposed to the current Israeli government. 63%
That's a great majority of Jewish Americans.
That's a lot of anti-Semites, as she would say.
Yeah, so are 63% of Jews in America anti-Semites?
That's insanity, insanity, right?
But the pro-Israel crowd doesn't care.
They don't care what Jewish Americans think.
They don't care what anybody thinks.
All they're gonna do is anti-Semite, anti-Semite.
And you see it here with their trained dogs, the news anchors.
So I'm gonna get back to that because I have a controversial opinion on that,
that'll make her head explode.
So you can look forward to that in a second.
And by the way, I'm going to go to London in June.
Come, interview me, see how it turns out for you.
Okay, so now the last point that's important before I get to the controversy.
She said when, you know, yours, it sounds like you're saying that Israel's behind everything,
hence you must be an anti-Semite.
Now hold on, hold on.
Nobody said that Israel's behind higher drug prices or oil subsidies or, you know, or your flat
Nobody's talking about that. No, we're talking about foreign policy. And they were specifically
talking about the war with Iran. Well, Israel is behind that. That's actually an acknowledged fact.
And Israel's behind a lot of things. So is big pharma. Big pharma controls our drug policy.
And if you're in the middle of a conversation about drugs, you're like, well, big farmer controls that and
big farmer controls that. Nobody would go, oh my God, you anti-pharmacist, right? Like, no, of course,
when you buy politicians, you control that sector of politics.
So Israel has bought our politicians to control that sector of politics.
These are not controversial opinions.
These are very normal benign opinions.
But when it comes to Israel, all of the television anchors, everybody in mainstream media,
has trained to flip out, to feign outrage, to smear any opponent of Israel as an anti-Semite,
and say things like, oh, all right, so you're saying that Israel's behind everything.
You're an anti-s, all right, all right.
So why the histrionics?
And now the opinion they'll find controversial.
Honestly, there's an effort to intimidate everyone in media by a group of very small
Jewish Americans and Jews across the world who act like thugs.
Okay.
So now they don't represent the overwhelming 98% of Jews are just plumbers and dentists and
and have their regular jobs and nobody's coordinating with them and they didn't do anything wrong
at all. Right, it's just that this small group is giving the rest of the Jewish population a really
bad name actually, right? That's right. Yeah. But don't tell me they don't exist. They stalk us.
They try to get Anna's husband fired. They try to hurt our business. They try to, and I go to
to Muslim American events and almost every Muslim can tell you a story of once they slightly
criticized Israel and how somehow some guy pops out of the woods and threatens their their
jobs, their careers, their well-being.
So what a lot of other Jewish Americans and others don't know is that there is like this reign
of terror. And especially in media, if anyone slightly criticized Israel, they were definitely
going to get fired until about two years ago. And even now, even now, they've all been trained.
Remember, your whole life and your whole career is on the line, you better protect Israel.
Otherwise, we're going to call you an anti-Semite and destroy you. Are there people like that?
Yes, definitely. There's a whole cottage industry of them. And that's why all of our news reporters
and anchors don't do any news reporting. They're like, oh, Israel's great. Israel's the greatest
This greatest juice, should everybody shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up.
Because they're so afraid that their careers and their lives are going to be ruined.
So is it time to have an honest conversation about that?
Or are we going to pretend that these thugs don't exist when they most definitely do exist?
Absolutely.
I like the honest conversations.
And I'm not interested in being a mouthpiece or being someone who's controlled by a group of thugs or a small mob of people who make demands.
that I lied to my audience. That's never gonna happen, regardless of the threats lodged against us.
Anyway, we gotta take a break. When we come back for the second hour slash 45 minutes of the show,
we'll get into Bill Maher's change of heart when it comes to the war in Iran.
Kind of wish he listened to people who knew what they were talking about beforehand,
but nonetheless, we've got that story and more coming up. Don't miss it.
If you're Christian, in fact, I will fight for you to have your religious liberty and practice your Christianity.
I believe in that.
I don't believe in Christianity, which means that you do not get to dictate the way I live
my life based on your religion.
I don't care what the Bible says.
You have every right in the world.
All those women who identify with your religion have every right in the world to not get
an abortion, to not take birth control, but they do not have the right to dictate my life.
And what I decide to do with my body, I don't care about your goddamn religion.
I'm so tired of having non-stop conversations about what the Bible says.
You live your life in the way that you interpret the Bible.
Again, I don't care, but you don't get to take the Bible and tell me,
while the Bible says this, in this chapter and this verse, I don't care.
I don't care.
I don't believe in it.
And I have the right based on our Constitution to not believe in it.
Has been left unscathed.
Ain't a whole lot left.
I don't know why they need any more bomb.
Let us be clear.
The United States provided $18 billion in military aid to Israel.
Netanyahu indiscriminate bombardment have killed more than 50,000 civilians,
60% of whom are women, children, paramedics, and journalists.
All of this is against basic human decency.
You don't starve children with absolutely no.
humanitarian aid getting into Gaza.
It is a war crime.
It is illegal for the United States government to provide Israel with more offensive weapons.
It will not forgive us.
We've been on our phones too much.
I feel like we just need to touch grass or something.
I told you.
I mean, you know what?
Let's actually do it.
Let's touch the grass.
Andrew Yang?
It's not racist.
It's him.
Yes, it is I.
Andrew Yang out here giving money away, as usual.
Wait, but literally?
Do you use a phone?
Noble Mobile will cut your wireless bill in half every month,
and you get paid even more if you log off, look up, and touch grass.
Oh, I actually have some grass.
I don't think that's the kind of grass.
Not that kind of grass, unfortunately.
Whoa.
Wait, what the...
Whoa.
I guess that kind of grass works, too.
All grass works.
All grass and we get cash?
Did you see that?
Thanks.
No, boom, mobile, make it rain, make it rain, don't make it rain, make it.
That didn't rain so good, but now it's raining good.

So good time to hit that join button or t-y-t.com slash join.
And I think we're gonna have a lot of fun with it.
So I'm gonna do it at the time of the revolution.
And so we're gonna exchange ideas on how to effectuate getting our government back and
getting a big positive change.
And then I'll carry it over to the member section two.
But in both sections, you gotta be a member to call, okay?
And as I told you a little bit earlier in the show, we launched on Amazon Prime.
So you can check out our 24 hour channel on there.
I think you guys will love it.
Obviously, you just type in TYT when you're on Amazon Prime and you'll find it.

out wherever you get your podcast. And then a couple of YouTube member comments here. Enraged law
and biting citizens says, I believe that Trump's depiction of Christ today was absolutely the
cherry on top to indicate that Trump is absolutely being blackmailed. So that's one interpretation.
Passive watcher one-on-one says Netanyahu is the commander in chief. And Trump is the secretary
of social media memes.
And other interpretation and probably fair when it comes to foreign policy.
Megaluronica writes, I hate to say it, but the more we see the president and politicians
coward of Israel and then Yahoo, the more respect I gained for Obama for standing up to him.
You shouldn't hate to say that, that's true.
One really great thing that Obama did was the Iran peace deal.
And we've given him tremendous credit for that throughout all of these years and he deserves
it.
We've criticized them on other things, but he showed
strength there and courage and did the right thing.
Last one, happy warrior 1219 says, thank you Anna for keeping AOC honest and helping her to stop fence sitting on Israel.
That was great and and our job sold people accountable.
In fact, we're gonna talk a little bit more about AOC in this program.
So let's take another quick break here.
Come right back, tell you about that important AOC story and the Bill Moore story that Anna promised.
All right, make sure you're taking advantage of that Shopify deal.
If you're gonna do a shop, this is the time.
So it's just a dollar a day, free trial, a dollar per month, sorry, trial today.

Okay, Anthony McClendon wrote in on Super Chat.
When my daughter was a teenager, I took her phone as punishment.
Rather than handing it over, she smashed it on the floor, just like Trump's blockade.
It's a good analogy.
L.A. ZP says, are Blackstone and Black Rock hedge funds manipulating the market intentionally,
giving the ideology of most of their CEOs, such as
Ackman to keep the war going. So it would take an enormous amount of money to play around with
the oil markets and the stock market overall. So my guess is no, but you did plant the thought in my
head. And I'll look to see if there's any hint of that. But my guess would be that that would be a
very difficult thing to pull off. On Twitch, Xerox 6085 says, will Trump blockade the Pope? Maybe he'll
double blockade him. Rui Raul says, Pope out here saying love thy neighbor and Trump took
that personally. So what do you mean? You gotta hate everyone, including your neighbor.
Norfolk away, Dragon, says, I for one, I'm praising Trump for uniting the world and moving away from
fossil fuels and onto renewables much sooner than people expected. Stupid way of doing it though,
and definitely not what he intended. Yes, we're all worried about being hooked on oil now,
thanks to Donald Trump's double blockade. That's certainly true. Alex 7701 on t.com says,
Jake with the penny going away, do you feel like your two cents are worth more?
Or less than before, with inflation, will you be forced to raise your two cents up to five cents?
Or people are saying now two nickels is a possibility? We'll think about it. We'll be right back.
Back on the online news show, Jenkin. Anna with you guys, Anna, what's next?
Before we get to that AOC story, we have to cover this because if we run out of time, it's going to be too stale by tomorrow.
And I really want to talk about this story. So let's get into it.
An Italian magazine cover featuring an extremist Israeli settler, terrorizing a Palestinian woman in the West Bank,
has sparked fury among Israeli officials.
They call it anti-Semitic, even though it depicts the truth.
Jank, before we get to the details, your two cents.
There is one thing in this story, guys, that is as funny as anything you'll ever hear.
So please stick around for that.
Anna, go ahead.
So the magazine in question features a photo and the photo itself is what sparked all this outrage, right?
So the magazine is Les Espresso, that's the name of the magazine.
Apparently it's a popular magazine in Italy.
And if you see the image, it does feature an Israeli settler.
And here's what they posted on X about their feature story.
The annexation of the West Bank with soldiers complicit in the settlers' actions,
Gaza annihilated, the advance into Lebanon, the police.
border violated in Syria, the war on Iran, ethnic cleansing and massacres, thus the Zionists,
Zionist right gives shape to greater Israel. So something tells me that even if they used,
or miraculously found an image of an Israeli settler that wasn't as ugly as this one,
the Israelis would still have a problem with this feature because at the end of the day,
The claims of anti-Semitism usually have to do with, you know, intimidating people who are speaking out or reporting stories detailing the atrocities committed by Israelis. It's that simple.
Now, Rabbi Pupko, or Popko, was not amused by this post. And so here's what he had to say about it.
Italy's magazine, Espresso online, publishing anti-Semitic Dürstermer worthy imagery should
clarify where they got this image from.
The military vest worn here is no longer in use by the IDF.
The wedding ring and bracelet are never worn by ultra-Orthodox men, the formation of the
beard and Kippa are outlandish, and of course the very bizarre smile slash showing teeth
are unnatural. So the rabbi is implying that this is a manipulated image, a fake image.
But for those who might fall prey to that type of disinformation, have no fear, there was a
community note clarifying where the image came from. The photograph was taken in the West Bank
by Peter Maastruzzo. That's an Italian photographer with details on the publication site in
Italian. The soldier in question has been photographed by other news outlets, including the New York Times,
and they provided a link for that. By the way, it's an Israeli settler. So whether he's serving as
an IDF soldier at the moment, who knows, who cares? What matters is that he's in the West Bank
terrorizing Palestinians and stealing their homes. That's what the Israeli settlers are up to,
with the protection of the IDF, by the way. So also, same guy. Take a look at this. Here's another image of
the same person who was featured in the image.
Same guy, same vest, same ring, same bracelet.
Try better next time.
Okay, but that didn't stop other Israelis from absolutely freaking out over this cover.
So the Israeli ambassador to Italy condemned the magazine, claiming that the image
feeds stereotypes and constitutes a hate crime.
He says, we strongly condemn the manipulative use of the recent cover of Les Espresso.
So the image distorts the complex reality with which Israel must coexist, promoting stereotypes
and hatred, responsible journalism must be balanced and fair.
Okay, okay.
I like balanced and fair journalism.
So let's do some balanced and fair journalism that here in America, it's very unlikely
you're going to see much coverage of, right?
And these are stories that I think we should be doing a lot more coverage of.
Let me give you an example, starting with number one.
Israeli strike kills infant girl in South Lebanon during her father's funeral.
The IDF bombed a funeral in Lebanon.
Okay, I don't know if you noticed, but this was a headline in Haretz, an Israeli paper.
Many in Lebanon hope the U.S. Iran ceasefire would also apply to their front with Israel.
Instead, they got one of the deadliest days in Lebanon history, Lebanon's history, with 350.
Remember after the two-week ceasefire was announced by the United States in Iran?
The first thing that Benjamin Netanyahu did is a carpet bomb Lebanon?
Yeah.
One of the places that ended up getting bombed was a funeral.
And then when, by the way, the funeral for a Lebanese man who was killed by Israelis.
And then when his family held a funeral for that man, Israelis bombed the funeral and killed his infant daughter.
Let's do some more reporting.
So a scathing report by Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor finds evidence of sexual torture
of Palestinian detainees and they find that it's organized state policy endorsed by
the highest political, military and judicial authorities in Israel.
Here's a headline about it.
Middle East I reported on the report saying, I wished for death, sexual violence in Israel's
prisons is an organized state policy. I want to give you a few of the highlights in the report.
So it relies on testimony from former detainees, Palestinian detainees. One former detainee, a 42-year-old
woman from North Gaza, who was held in the notorious Sid Tiemann detention center, said she
was bound naked to a metal table and repeatedly raped by two masked soldiers over the course of
two days. She recalled that she was left shackled, naked, and bleeding throughout the night
before the soldiers returned the next day to continue raping her. She said the entire ordeal
was recorded, filmed. Amir, a 35-year-old Palestinian man who was also held at the same facility,
recounted how soldiers forced him to strip naked before their dogs urinated on him and raped him.
He described how the dog penetrated my anus in a trained manner while I was being beaten.
And he says that this continued for several minutes.
I felt profoundly humiliated and violated.
And guess what?
Other men described very similar instances of rape and sexual abuse carried out with the use of canines.
Khalid, an attorney with the commission of detainees and ex-detainees affairs,
described how a soldier at the same facility inserted a fire extinguisher nozzle into a
Palestinian prisoner's anus and then discharged its contents into his body, resulting in
severe internal injuries and intense pain. I don't know, Jenkshire continue with the fair
and balanced reporting because we haven't been getting balanced reporting in the United States
as it pertains to the war crimes, atrocities, and genocide carried out by the Israelis.
So war crimes are ugly. This behavior by the Israelis, real ugly, real ugly.
And it's about time that someone actually point a mirror to them so they can get a good, hard look at what they look like.
Look, first is serious stuff, then the lighter stuff.
So on the serious front that Anna is talking about, we talked about earlier in the show, there's a group of pro-Israel thugs that reign terror in American media on anyone who criticized Israel.
Israel. That's why you don't see any of these facts. I mean, it's an absolute outrage that
mainstream media never shares any of these facts with you guys. Because they're in the Israel
protection program. So they, you have to come to independent shows like us. These are all
verifiable facts. You could look them up yourself. So Israel's been running a campaign of
terror against the Palestinians for 58 years. It's not a recent development. And, and so I'm
haunted by Golda Myers line where she said, we'll never
forgive the Palestinians for making us kill their kids. And that unfortunately has been the Israeli
mindset for a long time. No, the Palestinians didn't make you kill their kids. You chose to kill
their kids and you can't live with that guilt. So you've built this entire manufacturer
propaganda about how you're the victims and the people you're brutally occupying and raping and
torturing and terrorizing are the terrorists. And by the way, if you study any of any occupations,
occupation, any apartheid state, it's always the same. They always, especially settler colonies,
because settler colonies, like in South Africa and in Israel, have to displace the people that
already live there. And in order to do that, you must do ethnic cleansing. And when you do, you
immediately set up a propaganda model that blames the indigenous people that already live there.
Instantly, and same thing happened with the African National Congress in South Africa.
They were called a terrorist.
By the way, slaves that tried to gain their freedom or turned against their masters in the
South in America.
They were John Brown who tried to free the slaves.
Terrorists, terrorists, right?
And the people in power that do the enslaving are supposed to be the good guys.
No, that's not remotely true.
And it sickens me that almost all of our media has been doing that brainwashing propaganda on behalf of Israel, almost our whole lives.
Okay, now having said all that, I've got to go back to the funniest thing.
So, and I'm not even talking about Rabbi Pupko.
That quote that Anna read you from Ambassador Jonathan Pellett.
So the guy's picture is real, right?
This IDF soldier's picture is real.
In fact, we can put that back up if you want.
Let's actually go to Graphic 13 here.
I was amused by this post, but it provides a close up of the gentleman in question.
First of well, let's note for the record that he looks like a diseased Israeli settler version
of Jonah Ryan from Veep.
So I don't know if he's got a flannel shirt too, but anyways.
So Ambassador Pellin, looking at that real person, said that brother is so ugly.
that even printing his picture is a hate crime.
Yeah.
Wow, what your own government says that about you?
How is that guy ever going to recover?
They thought printing your picture was a hate crime.
That's how ugly you are.
Okay, so enjoy.
Yeah, I'll just leave it there.
All right, we gotta take a break.
When we come back for the final segment,
I will get into that AOC.
story and hopefully we'll have some time to also talk about Bill Maher's change of heart
when it comes to the war in Iran.
All right, let's go to our members on t.com.
Compass 1981, Taha, don't give him any ideas.
He writes in, maybe he'll rename Earth, Trump's Fear.
Don't, don't, man.
There's some chance he will.
All right, it collective rights in this.
The situation reminds me when Trump bankrupted at a casino, only a completely
incompetent buffoon could have control the world's most powerful military and economy and
somehow force himself into an embarrassingly unwinnable military and economic crisis.
Ah, that's a great point, yep. And against like a, it's not like he was fighting China or one of the
great superpowers. Anyways, but they did massively underestimate Iran and partly do their racism,
which is another good point that another member made last week. Peter ZCC wrote in, the good news
of this conflict is that it is the awareness that Iran is not and never has been the problem.
It's always been Israel which you use money and propaganda to brainwashes. And that's just
a stone cold fact. And they're currently doing that. They're currently doing that in
regard to Turkey. You should see the propaganda. By the way, I've got no love for the
Turkish government at all, okay? I don't want to go to war with them. But that's what Israel
is now trying to drag the United States into. They're trying to get Turkey kicked out of NATO.
The US won't have the excuse of, well, that's a NATO ally.
We can't attack a NATO ally.
So step number one, kick them out of NATO.
Step number two, go the United States into fighting a war with Turkey.
Insane, insane.
And so, you know what Israel is going to do?
They're going to smear all Turks and they're going to say that they're savages and they have to be murdered.
And then they're going to start murdering Turks.
And then if you, when you pointed out, they're going to say anti-Semi.
On TYT, Jank, Anna, and Tricia Briggs 2101.
Thanks for signing up by hitting the join button below.
Anna, what's next?
Well, it appears that I don't know if this is about me or if it's just about the left in general,
but AOC, not happy with the left.
Not publicly, but privately, according to a new piece in Axio.
So let's get into the details.
Congressman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is allegedly fuming about her left-wing critics
in private while she attempts to win them over publicly.
And that's according to a new report that came out by Axios.
Jank, your thoughts?
Yeah, look, I'm gonna go off a little bit on this story because I've had enough.
I think her ego is unbearable.
I want her to be productive.
I want her to do good things.
I want her to run for the Senate seat in New York, but she just keeps taking pot shots at people
on her own side totally gratuitously.
Tell us the facts, Anna, and then I'll tell you things I know that that are not in the piece.
So this saga regarding defensive military aid to Israel unfortunately continues.
Now, her past voting record shows that she has failed to block or vote against sending defensive military weaponry to Israel.
And there has been a growing number of people, especially on the left, who don't want to send another dollar to Israel for obvious reasons.
Would you send defensive military capabilities to the Nazi regime?
And what Israel is currently carrying out in Lebanon, Syria, Gaza, the West Bank, Iran.
You guys get the picture.
Okay, these war crimes have gone unchecked and it's ridiculous to drive the U.S.
into further debt in order to bankroll Israel's defensive capabilities.
Now, this was something that I called her out for.
And she's also been under fire by the DSA in, in, you know, recent months over her support for
defensive military weaponry to Israel, at least in the past, okay?
Now, in response, she decided to change her stance on the issue.
And I gave her a lot of credit for that.
So if they react or respond favorably to the pressure, she deserves credit.
Now, on April 1st, she wrote the following.
The Israeli government is well able to fund the Iron Dome system, which has proven critical to keep innocent civilians safe from rocket attacks and bombardment.
I would argue a great way to keep civilians safe from rocket attacks and bombardment is to stop bombing your neighbors and stop trying to steal their land and territory.
That would be the best way to prevent hostility toward your country and its civilians.
But nonetheless, let me continue.
She further wrote, consistent with my voting record to date, it was not consistent with her voting record to date.
I will not support Congress sending more taxpayer dollars and military aid to a government that consistently ignores international law and U.S. law.
Her statement about her voting record again, that's untrue.
I've talked about that in detail.
I've shown the receipts.
If she wants to continue lying about it, fine.
As long as in the future, she votes the right way on this issue.
Nevertheless, her post continues.
in the Knesset just approved a $45 billion defense budget, and the prime minister himself
also asserted his interest in withdrawing from the MOU with the United States in January.
It is fully within their ability to fund Iron Dome and other defensive systems.
I hope she doesn't take Netanyahu's word at face value when it comes to wanting to withdraw
from the MOU. Are you kidding me? He wants a 20-year MOU as opposed to a 10-year MOU.
Finally, she writes, our allies who need our military aid must understand that we will provide it consistent with the Leahy Amendment and the Foreign Assistance Act.
Okay, so again, when she stated that she'll no longer support any military aid to Israel, including defensive military aid, gave her credit.
I'm not one of those people who's like nitpicking and, you know, never satisfied.
But according to this Axios piece, she is annoyed by the pressure she's been facing from the left.
And in fact, she feels the left is never satisfied.
So AOC is hustling to win over left-wing critics.
In private, Ocasio-Cortez has fumed about the criticism, believing it's unfair and counterproductive for the progressive movement.
In other words, it's unfair that progressive voters are demanding that someone who identifies,
as a progressive politician carry out progressive policies.
Got it.
One liberal strategist told Axios that AOC has lamented that the left was not there for her,
that they are never pleased.
The American people didn't sign up to be your public servant.
You signed up to be their public servant.
What does that mean they weren't there for you?
You easily get reelected.
You're one of the top small dollar fundraisers in the Democratic Party.
What do you mean, they're not there for you?
So she's probably referring to like a small group of people on the far left who nitpick,
yes, they seem to never be satisfied, but those people are not representative of the entirety
of the left.
And furthermore, AOC has yet to endorse her first chief of staff, Shoycott Chakabardi,
who's running for the house seat that will be left behind by Nancy Pelosi in California.
So to be clear, AOC has yet to endorse any race in the month of June.
So we'll see what happens with Shoycott Chakurbarty, but I mean, it's just weird how she holds
out on these endorsements.
And Shoycott is the perfect person for her to endorse to, you know, ensure that someone
who is in fact progressive, someone who is actually on the left serves in that district,
in that seat.
However, AOC has indicated she believes that some of her early allies on the left have taken
too much credit for her upset house victory eight years ago.
And she distanced herself from them over the years.
People familiar with the dynamic told Axios and Jank,
this will be a good opportunity for you to jump in.
Yeah.
So look, I'm in the camp of if you come to the right position, bygones be bygones.
I will take yes for an answer.
True of people on the right, true of people on the left.
And so I'm thrilled that she came to the position of not another dollar.
happy to have her there. And look, if it was just that, this thing's long gone. Terrific,
let's move on, right? But she seems to not understand that there's something else she could do as well.
Number one, it would have been great if she led on that, but it's okay, all right?
But you need to make the case for us, for our positions. You need to fight for us.
I mean, you're supposed to be our representative and you're not just a random representative.
I mean, we're not putting this kind of pressure on Randobob in the house.
Randall Bob takes corporate money and is never going to fight for us.
But you were supposed to be a progressive champion.
So yes, that means that there's a little bit more responsibility on you and a little bit more pressure.
Well, time to grow up.
You've got to step up and fill those shoes.
You can't say, oh, boo, who, I can't believe people want me to fight for them.
Yes, yes, they do.
That was the core promise.
So now, again, if I'm the guy who buries all hatchets, right?
Like, I got kicked out of just Democrats when, after I formed it, over some nonsense,
hatchet job by the, at that time, like the alt-right finding blogs from decades ago.
And AOC fell for that.
And a lot of good people fell for that at the time.
And you guys saw me at the time.
Did I hold a grudge?
No, I buried it.
And I said support the candidates anyway, including AOC.
And I made a huge deal out of, I'm not important.
You've got to support the candidates.
Otherwise, they're not going to win.
And we're not going to be able to get progressives inside the house to do something.
And they did win.
And AOC was obviously principal one among them.
So now, why am I upset today? Because she goes too far. What is this? Well, you think you won by yourself? What a needlessly arrogant and egotistical thing that is to say.
It really is. I don't know how much the essay was involved. I wasn't involved in that part of the campaign. But to say that Justice Democrats didn't help that much, no, that's crazy. That's unacceptable.
Shortcott, Chukhar Bharti was the head of the Justice Democrats, and then he made a move to go become basically run her campaign, and it made an enormous difference.
Corbin Trent was a communications director for just Democrats. He moved to her campaign as well, made an enormous difference.
She owes those two people a world of gratitude. Now, look, Young Turks had a small part in it. We helped form Justice Democrats.
You guys are so generous. The audience, not us, the audience.
raised $2.5 million for all the Justice Democratic candidates, right?
And so, and volunteered for AOC and voted for AOC, it's not too much to ask to say,
hey, thanks. I appreciate all the wonderful people who made that happen.
And by the way, in the beginning, she did say that, right?
And guys, this isn't about credit for us.
Who cares about us?
I burned my ego then.
I don't care about my ego.
Now I just care about the policies.
I just care about everybody fighting on the same page for our voters, right?
So but now when you come back and go, oh, the DSA didn't do anything, just Democrats didn't do anything.
Why does it just have to be you?
No one ever took credit away from you.
No one ever said AOC didn't run a brilliant campaign.
She did.
Why did Shortcott go all in on AOC?
Because he thought she was running a brilliant campaign.
So look, these are all my opinions. They're not Shortcott's opinions or Corbyn's or
anybody else's opinions. And I'm disconnected from Justice Democrats now. I just can't
bear to see that, you know, being left on the record if it's true, as if it's true.
Look, Schoiketz's in the middle of a tough campaign and he's run a brilliant campaign. He
knocked out Nancy Pelosi. He helped out knockout Joe Crowley, number four Democrat, you know,
with the AOC rug. And now Nancy Pelosi's out of the race because she was worried that he was
he was going to be West Coast Mom Donnie, which I think he is.
And so it wasn't just him as to why she retired, but she had two letters written,
one to stay in the race if Mom Donnie lost.
She was worried that Shortcott is Mom Donnie, and she used her second later after letter
after Mom Donnie won, which was to retire.
Right now, Shortcott's gaining and is about to take over first place.
The primaries in June 2nd.
Why on God's green earth hasn't AOC endorsed him?
I mean, if you can't endorse that guy, what are you doing?
And I'll tell you why, because she likes her establishment friends.
Let's be honest about it.
And her establishment colleagues don't like actual revolutionaries like Shokkaqar Bharti.
Shortcott means it.
He would actually fight like hell for positive change in this country.
That's why a rebellion pack endorsed them.
That's my pack and he's part of the rebellion and I love it.
And I think he's gonna win that race no matter who endorses, right?
Go help him right now.
But we've got to do way better on supporting one another and stop with the credit and
oh no, I don't want them to credit.
I want all the credit for myself.
How does that help the movement?
You don't want a movement with one person.
You run a movement together with all of us working together in the same direction.
Yeah, look, the only thing that I want to leave the audience with, and I genuinely think this is super important for everyone to internalize, and it goes beyond this particular story involving Congresswoman AOC, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
You should pressure your politicians, period.
You don't work for them.
They work for you.
Okay?
So if they run on a suite of policies that they renege on, you call them out, especially if they're on your side.
You voted for them, you campaigned for them.
Politicians are like everyone else.
They respond to incentives and disincentives.
So if you have a meek electorate or meek base that constantly provides cover for the failures of these lawmakers, they're going to continue to fail you.
Because why, why wouldn't they? Why wouldn't they? There are so many pressures in Congress
to serve the powerful, to serve the elite, to go along to get along with your colleagues.
And if there isn't any outside pressure from the base, then they're going to succumb
to the pressures of moneyed interests, of corporations, whatever it is. So just keep that in mind and
be very skeptical of any news show that tells you you need to shut your mouth when it comes
to the failures of politicians on your side of the aisle.
Those are people who are providing cover for the failures of these lawmakers, and that is precisely
the reason why we have a pathetic, flaccid, useless Congress today.
And again, this isn't just about AOC, this is a general statement about the current political
culture in America, which has conditioned voters to be meek and incredibly weak in the face of
these politicians failing us time and time again.
Anna, one last thing or two last things.
Look, I don't need her to be super far left.
I mean, I- Obviously.
Obviously, right?
We've had some battles there.
And so, and I don't need her to like force every vote.
We've had some battles there.
And on those battles who are largely on AOC's side.
So it's not like we're asking her to do extreme things or radical things or everything that we demand.
We're just asking you to be there on super important issues like Israel and Gaza and the war.
I don't even see her on the war.
I'm sure she's done a tweet or two.
But when someone's opposed to the war like Rokana, you see them everywhere, right?
And I'm not trying to pick in favorites or anything like that.
He's just an obvious case because you see him fighting against that.
fighting, he released absentee, et cetera. So, but AOC, all of that is also easily remedied.
Get out there, roll up your sleeves, go all over media. And you know what? But keep the spite
and make sure you don't come on the young Turks or breaking points or whatever. I don't care.
Just go everywhere else and fight like hell against this war and against what Israel is doing to
this country and what it's doing to Gaza and Lebanon and Iran. And finally, she said, you know, that they weren't, that the left isn't there.
for her. I think the left has been there for her spectacularly, both when she ran and since
then and she's raised a tremendous amount of money, but she's misunderstanding the dynamic.
Maybe if you're a right winger, you could think like that, but on the left and as a progressive,
they're not supposed to be there for you, even though they were. You're supposed to be there for
them. They elected you to be their representative and beyond that, their fighter. And they
And that's what your job is to get out there and fight for them.
So if you do it, from my point of view, bygones be bygones, let's all get on the same team
and fight forward together and forget the past.
But if you're not gonna do it and then you're gonna blame others for it, it's not a pretty
excuse.
But again, please go in the right direction and let's just get back on the same team and fight
for things that matter.
Well, it looks like Bill Maher is trying to get in the right direction, especially as it pertains to war against Iran.
So let's get to that story to wrap up the show.
Bill Maher, an early advocate and cheerleader for the war against Iran is suddenly singing
a different tune.
So, Jake, before we get into his latest statements, your two cents.
Yeah, the only thing I'll say here is that I'm actually gonna give more, a little bit of
credit here.
Anna's gonna yell at me over it, but let's find out why.
I probably will because Bill Maher is incredibly smug in his commentary and maybe tone
the smugness down a little bit and listen to people who actually know what they're
talking about instead of just regurgitating Israel's propaganda.
But let me give you the details.
So Marr told Israel propagandist Doug Douglas Murray that the two had initially been
sympathico on the issue of war with Iran, but not anymore. So while Murray maintained that the United
States should absolutely stay the course in this disastrous war that's causing a lot of damage
to the global economy and killing a lot of innocent people, Marf felt a little differently,
saying, I was on the page of this is a great opportunity. Hey, we see them all, meaning Iranian
leaders, we see them all in one place. We can wipe out the whole leader.
at once. It looks like they're ready for an uprising. Take the shot, Mav, take the shot.
We did it and it didn't work. So his seeming walkback was tempered by all sorts of caveats.
He justified the attacks against Iran, for instance, and he did repeat Steve Whitkoff's brazen lie
that Iran told him that they were a week away from having a nuclear weapon. That was totally
false and was meant to sabotage the opportunity for peace to avoid war. But nonetheless, as recent
reporting points out, Marr was echoing a claim from billionaire Trump ally, Steve Whitkoff,
the U.S. Special Envoy for the Middle East, who has been accused of profiting from his family's
cryptocurrency company while negotiating with some of its biggest foreign investors on behalf of
the United States. Still, Marr recently stated, his recently stated opposite.
stands in stark contrast to some of the previous remarks he made about Iran.
He previously said this, quote, we bombed Iran and it's going on.
Now if you expected me to say I hate it, I don't, sorry.
When he puts boots on the ground, yeah, then I'll hate it.
Now I don't, I know too many happy Iranian Americans, sorry, and you cannot name one
horrible thing that has happened in the Middle East in the last 50 years and not connect it
to this fascist theocracy.
He's not talking about Israel, he's talking about Iran.
Amazing.
Now, polling suggests that Marr doesn't know what he's talking about as it pertains to
Iranian Americans.
So previous polling showed that it was kind of split between the pro-Iran war
Iranian diaspora and the anti-war diaspora.
However, subsequent polling by NIAC and Zogby analytics suggests that now only 32.7
2.7% of Iranian Americans support the war. 66% actually oppose it. Still, Mar had cheered for the war
during an episode of his podcast club random. So he's kind of all over the place, Jake, but I think
even he has to accept the fact that this war against Iran has been a disaster for the U.S.
And the globe. Yeah, so was he wrong in the beginning, of course? Is it because he's the
most biased man in America when it comes to Israel? Of course. So, you know, that whole, he's
generally been against wars, which is a good thing. That's why, you know, that portion of what
he says we like. But when it comes to a war Israel wants, he's like, oh, I don't hate that one.
And the same nonsense propaganda about how old Iranian people really want to be bombed, do they?
So, but Anna, the ironic credit here is that there was a good contrast on that show on Friday,
the show that he did, between him and Douglas Murray. So Douglas Murray is a prophet.
for Israel, so he doesn't get to have a genuine opinion.
So apparently Israel wants to stay in the war.
So he's like, no, it is a great war.
We should stay in the war.
Israel is the greatest, this is great.
It has nothing to do with Israel, but we should definitely stay in the war.
And Bill Maher's like, look, he's not paid to be a propagandist, apparently,
which is again, maybe I'm damning with faint praise, but it's something.
And so he gives his real opinion.
And his real opinion is he loves Israel, he hates Muslims, but you know what?
He apparently also cares about America.
And he's like, okay, we tried this war for Israel.
It didn't work.
Now let's leave.
So that proves to me that he does propaganda for Israel as a hobby, not as a profession.
He's super biased and doesn't know he's biased.
But that he's not an asset like Douglas Murray is.
Yeah.
And in fact, he's hoping that the U.S. abandoned the war.
entirely. So we'll see what happens. All right, the revolution with Jank Yugar is next.
Don't miss it. Have you been there?
