Starting point is 00:00:00 You're listening to The Young Turks, the online news show. Make sure to follow and rate our show with not one, not two, not three, not four, but five stars. You're awesome. Thank you. I'm so upset. Oh my God. Let's see how Earth responds to that. Bega! Thank you. Drop it.
Starting point is 00:01:30 So the legendary damage report and the granddaddy of the Dragon Squad. And Francesco, of course, the host of the Bituation Room, a fun name for a podcast. That's in the TYT Podcast Network. Everybody checked that out. While you're checking things out, why don't you check out this shirt, build the walls. Oh, there's Trump underneath it. And then it says, underneath that, it says, make Trump pay for it. Okay, so shopTYT.com for that fun piece of merch.
Starting point is 00:01:58 Yeah, I'm wearing a t-shirt and blazer. Take that, Anna. Okay, all right, fun for everybody. Listen, guys, you know the news is not always fun and we've got plenty of very serious stories that I might rage a little bit about. I try not to every day and then we see what happens. But the giant theme of today after we get past the Israel stories is Trump in a massive spiral, like just careening out of control, runaway freighter.
Starting point is 00:02:30 train. We have tons of videos on that for you guys. So stay right here. John, let's get started. Okay, let's maybe turn to some of the rage. Maybe the next few minutes. Yeah, we'll start with this. Let's get the hostages out. Let's get the ceasefire done. But no change in policy in terms of arms and so forth. No, we have to get a deal done. So that right there was one of the few very direct, specific, needed questions during the CNN interview with Kamala Harris. A lot of it was social media stuff and trying to create viral moments. But that question about will there be a change in policy from Joe Biden to Kamala Harris was important.
Starting point is 00:03:08 I think a lot of people were waiting to find that out and now we know. And that by the way was the second attempt from Dana Bash to get Kamala Harris to explain what her policy will be, what she thinks about this topic, what's happening in Gaza, And so why don't we go to the first answer? Would you do anything differently, for example, would you withhold some U.S. weapons shipments to Israel? That's what a lot of people on the progressive left want you to do. Let me be very clear. I'm unequivocal and unwavering in my commitment to Israel's defense and its ability to defend itself.
Starting point is 00:03:47 And that's not going to change. But let's take a step back. October 7 1,200 people are massacred. Many young people who were simply attending a music festival. Women were horribly raped.
Starting point is 00:04:07 As I said, then I say today, Israel had a right, has a right, to defend itself, we would. And how it does so matters. Far too many innocent Palestinians have been killed. And we've got to get a deal done. So I think that's pretty clear.
Starting point is 00:04:29 It's fairly consistent with the convention address that Kamala Harris gave. And I think for a lot of people that wanted to see literally any movement or evolution on this policy, I think they're going to be very disappointed by what they heard right there. Now she goes on in further comments to say that she supports a two state solution. But before we throw to our commentary, I will just say that it becomes very meaningless to say too many people have died. That's supposed to mean something, it's supposed to imply that no more should. But if you're not willing to change anything, then no, too many people haven't died.
Starting point is 00:05:06 Not to cause any effect, actually. Too many have died for you to not have to say that, I guess, but not to actually do anything about it, certainly not to do anything that would result in fewer people dying. And when someone is saying way too many civilians have died, maybe let's not send the arms that are disproportionately killing civilians. And then you say, let me be clear, I stand for Israel's ability to defend itself. Those two topics have literally nothing to do with them. I know that we are participating in this sort of cultural delusion that those are closely tied
Starting point is 00:05:37 together. Nothing about this involves defense. There's no defense. Maybe the immediate response to the horrific acts in October were a defense. We're months away from anything within sight of defense. This is offense, this is criminal offense. And look, if she wanted to be clear that like, you know, maybe on some level for humanitarian reasons, I think that we should probably not do this, but it's just too difficult politically.
Starting point is 00:06:03 I'd be criticized, I can't afford it. Then you could be clear about that. But the way that she's explaining it, I find to be about as unacceptable as the lack and change in policy. And not to say she's a terrible candidate, hate the candidates, I understand, people seem to believe that you have to agree with either everything that a politician does or pretend that you do by not addressing some of the issues, or if you criticize them, you want them to lose.
Starting point is 00:06:26 And I think I've been very clear that I don't. But that was not a good answer, particularly coming as it is as the follow up to a speech that a lot of people who care about what's happening in Gaza found to be unacceptable. Yeah, so first let me question the framing. Bannabash said, you know, here's what people on the progressive left want you to do. No, no, look, it isn't about progressive left or the right wing or any part of the wing. It's, if you want a ceasefire, you have to use your leverage. If you're not using your leverage, you're saying, I don't actually want a ceasefire.
Starting point is 00:06:59 So it doesn't have anything to do with where you are in the political spectrum. It has to do with, do you have common sense, do you understand how politics works, do you understand how the world works? If you have leverage in anything and you choose not to use it, that's you saying, I don't mind. So when she, Kamala Harris then answers by saying, we're doing everything we can to get to a ceasefire that is literally a lie. And there's no one that can say that it's not a lie. Because if you're not using the leverage that would make all the difference in the world and all the leverage that we have, and you're not using any of it, the leverage, we just gave them $26 billion and didn't ask for anything in return. We could have asked for a ceasefire in return, that would have been a very, very, very reasonable ask. By the way, we could have asked for a two-state solution in return.
Starting point is 00:07:45 But of course, we'll never ask for any of those things because Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, Donald Trump, and almost everyone involved in American politics, is 100% lying about this. It's not an, look, the only other possible explanation is they just don't know anything about the world. They're totally cool. They're like leverage. What? You mean if I give somebody $26 billion, they might, I might be able to get something back? I don't understand that concept. Well, then obviously you shouldn't be president because you're a blithering idiot if you believe that. And both of the major party candidates are pretending that they don't understand that concept. No, they understand it. And they're lying to
Starting point is 00:08:24 you on purpose. I want to get more into this. But Francesca, what do you want to say? Yeah, no, I just want to double down on that. I mean, I do think the framing is also bogus because according to a CBS poll in June, 63% of all Americans believe that we should temper military aid to Israel. And it goes up to 77% of Democrats. So miss me with this progressive left, as if we're extremists over here, because we're not. It's the majority of independence, and it's the majority of Democrats, right? So like, I don't even know what we're talking about anymore. But the second, the question then the follow-up is, isn't tempering aid, isn't withholding a certain amount of military aid part and parcel of achieving ceasefire. Exactly what Jenk is
Starting point is 00:09:12 explaining. This is part of being a commander in chief. Now, my real question when I saw this whole answer, I appreciated her saying how they do so matters. I think there's wiggle room there. This is where we fight, those of us who believe in human rights are Palestinians. My question more broadly is, what role is Kamala Harris actually playing in this? We know that Joe Biden is an unmitigated pro-Israel Zionist, if you will, whatever they do, no matter whether it's bombing hospitals, children, zip-tying doctors and summarily assassinating them and then burying them in a mass grave, hunky-dory, all good, that's part of defense, right? We know that's Joe Biden.
Starting point is 00:09:55 So here's my very generous take on Kamala Harris. She's not in the room. She's not in these decision making situations. It's blinking. It's Austin. It's Biden. But my question is, if you're not in the room, if this is not up to you, what is in it for you right now to not show a little bit of daylight between you and Joe Biden?
Starting point is 00:10:20 Or are you truly just governed at this point by a lot of fear from. the Israeli lobby. I think that's where I want to go with, you know, with why are we doing this. in politics. The donors control everything, everything. The only thing that passes is either that's stuff that is a win-win for donors and voters. And that's your, you're super lucky to get that, like the infrastructure bill where, okay, we're going to get some new roads and bridges, but private corporations and the unions that donate to politicians are going to just make a killing. They're going to make an unbelievable amount of money and privatize some of our roads and make, and just use us as indenture service for the rest of our lives,
Starting point is 00:11:24 etc, right? So that's true in every category in every issue. The only other thing that's allowed is release valves. Oh, okay, the population is about to explode. Here, let's take away pre-existing conditions because they're in a range, right? So that's how our politics works. So when she says, let me be clear, I unequivocally and unwaveringly, I'm going to support Israel's defense, what is she's saying is let me be clear, I work for the donors, period,
Starting point is 00:11:50 Period, there's no other factor. It's not like Kamala Harris while she was growing up in Oakland with a Jamaican dad and an Indian mom and in a generally progressive atmosphere. So you know what, I hate Palestinians, I love Israel's, God, I'm such a Zionist. Right. In my heart, Zionism blooms for no apparent reason when I have no connection to it, right? No, she doesn't care about Zionism one way or another. Honestly, she doesn't care about Israel one way or another.
Starting point is 00:12:20 There's only one thing she cares about, campaign checks. If that breaks your heart, you're so late to understanding American politics. I love you, but you really are, whether you're on the right or the left, wake up, snap out of it. It doesn't mean that they're all equal. To John's point, Kamala Harris is going to appoint different Supreme Court justices. There's plenty of reasons to support her over the maniac lunatic named Donald Trump. But on this issue, if you're saying like, oh no.
Starting point is 00:12:50 No, no, no, no, no. No, my candidate is an angel. She's perfect. So if she says APAC is where her heart lies, not because she got paid. She's gotten $5 million from APAC already. And that's when she wasn't running for president. Okay. Joe Biden got $11 million from APAC and on and on it goes. No, this is pure and utter corruption. It's also heartlessness. It's Kamala Harris saying, I don't care about the Palestinians at all. This is, I'm using this interview as a way to broadcast to the donors, I'm open for business. No matter how much you slaughter the Palestinians, send me the checks and I'll send you a thousand times in return from the American taxpayers. And that's what this is. There's no, that's 100% of what this is. If you think there's 5%
Starting point is 00:13:38 something else, you're totally wrong. It's corruption defined. So unless the only other possible explanation is everyone involved, Dana Bash, Kamala Harris, Donald Trump, all of them, Just the dumbest people you've ever met in your life. Like money, oh, people care about money? I didn't know that. I thought it wouldn't make any difference at all if we use our leverage. Well, okay, then please, you're got, you're embarrassing. Totally embarrassing.
Starting point is 00:14:08 So when you say I care about the Palestinian people and you say, I won't use an ounce of my leverage, which I have an overwhelming amount against Israel, What you're really saying is I don't care about the Palestinian people at all. I'm doing absolutely nothing to help them. And as long as the checks clear, I'm going to allow this defense, defense. That was 11 months ago, man. So you want to do defense 11 months ago, 10 months ago, we're going to have a conversation debate about that. Now 11 months later, over in nearly 41,000, then 93,000 injured 85% of the population displaced.
Starting point is 00:14:46 Now we're gonna do a story in a minute on the show about how they're back to bombing human rights workers, summarily executing them, have killed more human rights workers and reporters than all other conflicts combined on planet Earth, and they're back to blocking the trucks coming in with aid and starving the Palestinian people. And you're talking about defense? And now they're going into the West Bank in a large-scale operation, and they've bombed three foreign capitals. And you're talking about defense?
Starting point is 00:15:17 Only the people who have been brainwashed by mainstream media would believe such utter nonsense. And Dana Bash, sorry, she's been good on other things. But here she is consistently embarrassing. So you don't like, like you don't understand the concept of leverage? You didn't think to ask a follow-up question on that? Instead, you framed it as the progressive left. And by progressive left, of course, Dana Bash is signaling to her mainstream. mainstream audience, the radicals.
Starting point is 00:15:47 The Israel is great and holy and moral and all the good decent Americans believe in if funding Israel's defense 11 months later, but the radical left. You're not gonna appease the radical left, are you Kamala Harris? That was the framing of the question. And the reality is, as we just pointed out, that's nonsense on a logical level. And as Franie explained, 63% of Americans are apparently radical left. So thanks for that. 77% of Democrats under 30.
Starting point is 00:16:15 I mean, this is all just going to blow up as college reconvenes, you know, and students go out there and protest again. And Kamala Harris throws them under the bus once again for standing up for people's right to just simply live. But John, I know we have to keep going. Yeah, I just don't want to say one or two things. So first of all, as many people know, the best defense is a good offense. So from a certain frame of mind.
Starting point is 00:16:40 Also, and look, especially coming off of the sarcastic comment, I just made a lot of people are going to watch this and say, you guys are being unfair, saying that this isn't defense or whatever. You're just being unfair because it's them. You'd only do this if it was them. Do you understand that Russia says that they need to occupy and conquer Ukraine to defend themselves, that it's for their national security? They say it because that's what countries do. By the way, how many years did TYT criticize the United States government? for the invasion and occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan, which was defended by politicians on both sides of the aisle and the media as being necessary for a national defense. Yeah. They always do this. No party's gonna be like, we just really love conquering them, it's awesome. They always say it's a defensive thing. We are simply, definitionally not being unfair.
Starting point is 00:17:31 The network was founded on this sort of criticism and not of Israel. And then finally, you said, you know, some people might like delude themselves. into thinking that Kamala has to, obviously she has a great position on this because I like her, so she must have a great position. I think some people might do that, but I think a more common response is just let's just not talk about it. Let's just pretend. Like we'll talk about the things we like, which we do. And then for the things that we don't, everyone shut up, don't say it. And that bothers me more even. Like I still remember Captain Jean-Luc Picard telling Wesley Crusher, the first duty of a Starfleet officer is to the truth.
Starting point is 00:18:11 Because if you don't have that, then what do you have? How can you think of yourself as being superior in literally any other way to your enemies if it's founded on lies? Now, look, you can go too far in the other direction. We could do two hours on this every day and just hammer and hammer and try to get her not elected, like that might be unfair. But in the same way that we give her credit when she does something or takes a position that we like, why are we just going to pretend that, that, that, that,
Starting point is 00:18:37 she's not doing things we don't. No, there is an answer to that, by the way. It's because your commentary will be more pure and people will like it more. There are networks you can watch that will literally only say positive things about Trump or about Harris or whatever. We choose to dwell in this unappreciated realm where we both criticize and laud. I just really quickly want to say that I do think, Jank, you're absolutely right about the amount of money, and it is there. But I also think that the ideological commitment that Joe Biden has to Israel is not necessarily there with Kamala Harris, although it can be bought, and you've said that and stayed of the case very well. I just want to give everyone some hope in saying that we have to make it
Starting point is 00:19:22 more politically toxic to throw down with the likes of AIPAC than to throw down with international law. And that is what organizers, the world over, but particularly in this country have been doing, the progressive Jews who are saying not in our name, the students, the Muslims, the Arabs, everybody, the uncommitted delegates. It is not a done deal. History has not yet been written on this. We are fighting for it every damn day. Okay, I'm going to say one last quick thing here. Sorry. Mikey, so many of you wrote in already, and I appreciate all of our members weighing in. And you guys all have good points to make and you're on our side. But Mikey 33, 43 wrote in a super chat. Let me be foolishly hopeful. Maybe Harris is saying
Starting point is 00:20:08 this to avoid APEC trying to crush her candidacy. And once she wins, she can use her leverage. Mikey, I love your brother. But there's no chance of that. About a 0% chance. These folks never turn around after they win the election. It's a logical thing for you to hope. for? Like, well, they don't need the money anymore. They're the president. And if they run for reelection, they're going to have all the money in the world because of free media, because they're the president. They have the bully pulpit. They could choose to it. They never do it. And they're like, oh, what about our party? And the House members need bribes and the senators need bribes. And what if A PAC spends a whole hundred million dollars on Republicans?
Starting point is 00:20:44 No, no, no, no, no, we bow, we bow, we bow. So there's, after hearing that answer, She will definitely, unless there's some massive sea change in American politics, she will not move one inch. In fact, as somebody, another member wrote in, like, this just means whatever Israel asked for for the next four years, Kamala Harris has a blank check ready to send them. Period. She will not question a dollar of what they asked for. An Israeli military strike on an aid convoy in Gaza has reportedly killed at least four people. This occurred last night as of our time. And the IDF alleges that the reason they struck the aid convoy was that it had been hijacked
Starting point is 00:21:46 by armed militants, but the group behind the convoy says that that that is not true. So the convoy was being organized by the US-based NGO Anera. It was carrying medical supplies and fuel to a hospital in Rafa. The route had been coordinated in advance with the IDF under a deconfliction process intended to prevent aid vehicles being bombed. There's like a standard point in every one of the stories we do about aid vehicles or convoys being bombed where we have to point out that that specific convoy and route
Starting point is 00:22:15 had been confirmed and yet they were killed anyway. So that's true in this case as well. Apparently, according to Anera, shortly after the convoy had departed, four members involved with the organization, step forward and said the area's unsafe, we need to take control of this or be involved in the lead vehicle that's going to be taking the convoy through this area. They say that the four community members were neither vetted nor coordinated in advance, and Israeli authorities alleged that the lead car was carrying numerous weapons. Israeli airstrike was carried out without any prior warning or communication.
Starting point is 00:22:51 Now, the Palestine country director of the organization said this is a shocking incident. The convoy included an Nera employee who was fortunately unharmed. Tragically, several individuals, all employed by the transportation company we work with, were killed in the attack. They were in the first vehicle of the convoy. So the rest of the convoy was not destroyed and did manage to make it to the hospital against all odds. Now, Israel says that a number of armed assailants seized control of the vehicle in the front of the convoy and began to lead it after the takeover and further verification that a precise strike on the armed assailant's vehicle can be carried out. A strike was conducted. So they did not explain why they didn't talk to the organization managing the convoy. They're saying that they're doing due diligence to make sure that their impression of what happened is true. But that did not include even
Starting point is 00:23:43 talking to the organization. So who knows what that investigation was, but they fired on another aid convoy, multiple people lost their lives. And it obviously calls to mind the World Central Kitchen incident as well as recent incidents in which aid vehicles have been shot at. And so add this to the long list of tragedies that have plagued this conflict from the start. Okay, so let's take I think the best case scenario and say that Israel's 100% tell them the truth and a couple of armed whatever you want to call them, rebels, terrorists, whatever you want to call them, jumped on to the part of the convoy. And you're in the control room at the IDF and they tell you, okay, there's a convoy of human rights workers. We've already talked to their organization.
Starting point is 00:24:30 They're based in America, by the way, and we're sure that these are human rights workers. But two bad guys jumped on. Should we murder everyone there? What would you say? You would ask, right, including the human rights workers? And they'd say, yes, sir, absolutely, sir. We're dropping a bomb. We're going to kill them all.
Starting point is 00:24:47 Would you say yes? I wouldn't. I'd say, no, let's wait until, I don't know, they get, they stop. The two guys with the guns get off. And we have drones, we have bombs. We have a thousand things. Let's get those guys. If you're positive that they're the bad guys.
Starting point is 00:25:02 Now, of course, they're not positive. It turns out they were wrong. The real scenario is, no, they, they're, They were armed security so that people didn't take the food, right? And so by the way, if Israel's rule of, if there's a weapon, we murder everyone in the building, in the car, whatever it might be, they literally killed everyone in America. Because there's every, so many people are armed here, they're like, well, you're in a building with an armed person.
Starting point is 00:25:28 So we murdered all of you. Just to be safe, we're doing self-defense, okay? So this is immoral by definition to begin with, but then you get into layers. of hell, right? So it turns out there's it on Tuesday, they did this also. They killed other human rights workers doing the same exact thing. They didn't even really barely had an excuse that time. Okay, and then it turns out you read further, oh, they're back to limiting the number of trucks that can go in. The aid has been greatly decreased because Israel has started blocking those trucks coming. What does that mean? That means this is not an accident. It's not one
Starting point is 00:26:06 data point, it's now three major things saying they're back to saying no more aid for the Palestinians barely sustenance level. And for some of the kids, not sustenance level, we're going back to starving them to death. Yeah, and the world food for it. Disgusting. And then Kamala Harris has the nerve to call this self-defense. A mass starvation of 2.3 million people, a self-defense for who? For the homeland? Is that what it's self-defense for? I have a lot more where that came from, Frannie. I know. And I really just come back to what John said earlier about the cultural delusion, that we're all just supposed to go along with this idea that Israel is doing everything it can to minimize the number of dead, that it is a good faith actor, that it is engaging
Starting point is 00:26:58 in ceasefire negotiations, which it absolutely is not. It has been moving. the goal post for 11 months now. It has been taking out the leaders of those negotiations and killing them. And so, and here we go again with this same charade, which all leads to extermination every single time. It's just extermination. It is a genocide. There's a reason that people call it that. It is not a meaningless term. There's a reason that South Africa has a case before the ICJ, there is a reason that there is an arrest warrant out for Netanyahu and Galant, the minister of war. It is because these are human rights violations. There is no rules of engagement under international law being followed at all. Where is the front line? It doesn't
Starting point is 00:27:44 exist. It's wherever Israel says it is. So we all have to keep pretending and participating in this mass cultural delusion that, yes, there's a ceasefire being negotiated. And, oh, you know, Israel is great. and we should continue to give them as many weapons as they can. But maybe not the 2,000 bombs. Okay, now you can have the 2,000 pound balms again. I mean, it never ends. The polio stuff, 1.2 million vaccinations have arrived to help the children of Gaza, who are now for the first time in 25 years, getting contracting polio.
Starting point is 00:28:17 How do you think that's going to be distributed? Do you think Israel will allow polio vaccines to be distributed? They say, oh, there might be a semi-humanitarian policy. slash truce, I am not holding my breath for this. Even the convoys and the trucks that do get in there. We all know this guys. They're, they're what? They're half full. And a lot of them get turned around because they have something like a croissant, which as everyone knows can be used as a lethal weapon against the IDF. Yeah. So how do you know whose side is telling the truth and who's not? So both sides lie. Of course, they're both in a war. They have propaganda. Propaganda is a standard
Starting point is 00:28:55 part of war, which apparently mainstream media has never heard of. They're like, oh, a government like Israel might, or IDF might do propaganda? Well, I've never heard of that. Chick, you're all so embarrassing. There's actually easy ways to tell who's telling the truth. Number one, getting confirmed by other news organizations throughout the world, the human rights groups that are unbiased in these cases, et cetera, et cetera. But also recently, Israel did two operations that actually were targeted against Hamas and Islamic jihad leaders.
Starting point is 00:29:24 And so why do I say actually because the Hamas has confirmed them. Yes, it killed the leader of Hamas and Janine. And so IDF says, ah, everything Hamas says a lie. Then why do they confirm when you actually get Hamas leaders? No, it's clear when you actually get people in Hamas. Hamas admits it, right? Islamic jihad, same thing. They kill one of their leaders.
Starting point is 00:29:46 By the way, they want to know Amas to do it. But you go into a mosque and you target that guy, you got some bullet holes in the mosque. People are going to be super mad. They're not going to agree with me. But I get it if you went and got a specific target. You bomb an entire mosque full of people. That's a different thing. You bomb an empty mosque just say, I hate your religion.
Starting point is 00:30:04 And I'm a different religion. I'm here to occupy you and oppress you and brutalize you. That's a different thing. And they've done all three of those things. So we're not, so in this case, back to the, what are they doing here? So I'm telling you a couple of operations that Israel did, that made sense. But when you turn around and say, Dave, now, doubled the denials of human rights trucks going in with food in the last month.
Starting point is 00:30:31 Well, that's a purposeful act meant to make sure that less food is going into the area. There's no ansips or butts about it. And by the way, Israel doesn't even claim, oh, look at this, we found a machine gun. If they found one gun on one truck, they would blast it all over American media. The Hamas has brought in a pistol, a pistol against our nuclear weapons and our 2,000 pound bombs. We have to stop all eight. They haven't found one goddamn thing in any of those buses, but they're doubling the denials anyway because they are purposely trying to starve the population.
Starting point is 00:31:09 They're now doing massive large-scale attacks in the West Bank. Why? What are we going to the West Bank? I know. every time. Self defense. You see, we've been occupying these guys for 57 years, and we took away all our freedoms, freedoms, and their dignity and their self-respect. And now we've decided to murder them at mass rates. But hey, American liars, every goddamn one of you in the media, go out there and tell us about how Israel's the moral army, and they're doing this in self-defense.
Starting point is 00:31:42 And the Palestinians had it coming because they're dirty, terrorist, savage Muslims, right? I'm so sick of it. I've been listening to it my whole life, smearing Muslims one after another after another. Iraq Muslims, Iran Muslims, Palestinians Muslims, they're the dirty savages. Are they, are they, or are you the dirty savage? So, oh, you can't say that about other people. You can't say that about media reporters. You can't say it about our politicians.
Starting point is 00:32:10 You obviously can't say it about Israeli politicians. You can't say it about anyone but Muslims. Murder them all you like, that's what America says. So that's a fact. We finance the slaughter in Gaza. We're financing this monster. Nanyahu is one of the worst terrorists of my lifetime. He has killed 40 times the number of innocent civilians that Hamas is killed in this conflict.
Starting point is 00:32:34 If you're 40 times worse than Hamas and Hamas is the dirtiest, most awful terrorists in the world, what does that make you? Nope, nope, nope, nope. We have a total blind double standard here. He has to bow down to Israel and no matter what happens, they say, nope, oh, they killed 280 human rights workers, more than all the other conflicts in the world combined, including the Russians. They're way outpacing the Russians. They're like Russians' evil empire, wait till he get a load of us.
Starting point is 00:33:06 And after the slaughter, imagine, imagine if Hamas had been doing 11-month assault on Israel. They'd killed over 40,000 Israelis, over 15,000 beautiful Israeli children, over 25,000 women and children, a stadium full of Israeli women and children. And they're slaughtering any reporter or human rights worker that tries to help those poor Israeli kids. What would we call them? Is there anything we wouldn't do to them? But when Israel does it, they're the good guys?
Starting point is 00:33:46 No, no, this current government of Israel is not within a million miles of the good guys. And I hate to break your heart if you're still on Israel's side because you're totally and utterly diluted by your bias. They're the bad guys. Israel is the bad guys, period. You don't tell me that I get to occupy other people and murder them anytime I like. And somehow that makes you the good guys. No, it doesn't.
Starting point is 00:34:13 It makes you despicable. And I'm tired of Israel's terrorism. And I'll say one last thing. Our country is hopeless because of the corruption. They serve every goddamn donor, whether it's big farmer, big oil, or in this case, APEC. But if you're a decent human being, whether you're an American citizen or anything else, please be moral. Do not give one single dollar to Israel.
Starting point is 00:34:34 Don't do any trade with them. Don't ever go to Israel. They might murder you. If you're a reporter and you're fair, there's an excellent chance they'll murder you. It's a despotic government, which is a dictatorship in the occupied territories. And one of the most brutal dictatorships I've seen in my lifetime, pretending to be a democracy. Well, it's a democracy for us. We brutalize them.
Starting point is 00:34:56 Of course, we keep them in concentration camps. And whenever they dare to raise their head up, we smash them. And we go, we're the moral army. No, Israel is the immoral army. and you should not spend a single dollar on that immoral government that they have right now. You want to turn around and do a two-state solution? We'd love to have you back in the decent, civilized world. But right now, I'm not interested in this uncivilized, savage government of Israel, filled to the rim with terrorists.
Starting point is 00:35:25 Young Turks. Back on TYT, Jank, John, and Francesca with you guys. Also, Mondo Lestraca, powered by plants and the quasar. Thank you for joining. They hit the join button below. Vicky R. Thank you for gifting a membership. Kelly Kay and Melody Loves.
Starting point is 00:35:58 Thank you for gifting. Five, you guys are amazing. We appreciate all you guys. Look, guys, we do a controversial show. We say things that are just obvious and true, but in America, that's super controversial. So, you know, if you appreciate that and support that, please join or help through t.com slash team, because without us, you know, what are you going to have? You're going to have all of mainstream media telling you, you know, murder, killing 1,200
Starting point is 00:36:28 Israelis is the most of immoral thing you could possibly do, fair, killing 40,000 Palestinians, is moral self-defense because their lives are dirt and useless, right? F mainstream media, all of them that supported Israel through all of their deeply immoral actions, you all should be ashamed, and I hope you live with that guilt for the rest of your lives. All right, John. Okay, we're going to lighten things a little bit. Let's make fun of Donald Trump for a bit.
Starting point is 00:36:57 It'll be fun. We'll all enjoy it. You'll enjoy it? I'll definitely enjoy it. Let's start with this. You take a look at bacon and some of these products and some people don't eat bacon anymore. And we are going to get the energy prices down. When we get energy down, you know, this was caused by their horrible energy wind.
Starting point is 00:37:18 They won't wind all over the place. But when it doesn't blow, we have a little problem. Now, some people with Trump derangement syndrome might try to pretend that those are disconnected thoughts that have nothing to do with each other and indeed his brain has taken on the consistency of rice pudding. But no, because very often I'll try to get to the store to buy bacon, and I just can't fight my way through all the wind that's blowing me away from the delicious, delicious pig. But anyway, Trump's brain is, what is it worth at this point? Like, that sort of moment has been popping up more and more, and we want to demonstrate it. In this clip, he is trying to make the insane point that San Francisco is Dresden or something,
Starting point is 00:37:59 and he can't even drive home the conspiracy because his brain undercuts him at every turn. Take a look. She destroyed the city of San Francisco. And I own a big building there. It's no, I shouldn't talk about this, but that's okay. I don't give it damn because this is what I'm doing. I should say it's the finest city in the world. Sell and get the hell out of there, right?
Starting point is 00:38:26 But I can't do that. I don't care, you know. I lost billions, billions of dollars. You know, somebody said, what do you think he lost? I said, probably two, three billion. That's okay. I don't care. They said, do you think you do it again? And that's the least of it.
Starting point is 00:38:39 Nobody. They always say that, I don't know if you know, Lincoln was horribly treated. Jefferson was pretty horribly. Andrew Jackson, they say, was the worst of all. That he was treated worse than any other president. And I said, do that study again, because I think there's nobody close to Trump.
Starting point is 00:39:01 I even got shot. And who the hell knows where that came from, right? I know that one. It came from the assault rifle of a conservative Republican. But anyway, aside from that easy answer, what was that? I know most people don't have standards for Donald Trump anymore, but he went from San Francisco's smoking, gaping ruin to something about his buildings and how apparently he's not supposed to talk about the lie he's telling about San Francisco,
Starting point is 00:39:29 two, people are unfair to him and he got shot. Like, you almost start to sympathize with the people in the audience who showed up. They took time off. They got a sitter so that they could hear him talk about Hannibal Lecter, and instead they're trying to follow that. Yeah. So this rambler doesn't know how to hold him and when to hold him anymore. He just doesn't.
Starting point is 00:39:51 And so look, we've been honest and fair throughout this entire election. process and I used to say it was the mumbler versus the rambler. And and then Democrats would get super mad at us and say, I can't believe you're calling Joe Biden a mumbler. Okay, well, that one's settled now. And now Republicans say, I can't believe you're saying Donald Trump's rambling. Are you serious? Look, here it isn't that, and you've heard me say this many times of like he's an idiot, he's mentally unbalanced. All those things are true. But here he's not trying to connect, in my opinion, bacon to wind turbines, right? He just can't stop rambling. His mind is on a downward spiral. So it just goes from one train of thought to another,
Starting point is 00:40:40 to another to another. And he never comes back to the original thought. He's a runaway freight train of thoughts. And so at this point, to everyone who isn't MAGA, like MAGA sees a different world, right? Maga sees him as in charge and strong and anti-corruption and populist and fighting against the elites, mainly because they hate the Democrats so much, they can't see straight, right? But to anyone that isn't MAGA, what we're seeing here and now the main campaign theme overall for this race, Donald Trump, in a massive, unprecedented spiral. So every time he's out there, he's spiraling down and cannot finish a thought. It's an absolute mess.
Starting point is 00:41:24 Yeah, and it was unpresidential when Biden was there trying to pass off the mumbles as policy and as real thoughts. And it's unpresidential for Donald Trump to pass off whatever the hell that is as someone who can actually be the president again, as if he could ever do it a first time, barely did it. But this is a guy who is such a pompous bastard. His brain keeps interrupting his mouth. He won't even let himself have a full thought. And honestly, as a serial digressor myself, guilty is charged.
Starting point is 00:41:57 I like a little bit sympathize with it. But I'm not running for president here. I lose my train of thought. I'll conflate a lot of different things. I'll forget the original thing. I'm not running for president. And I think the biggest takeaway from that whole ramble that I have is that we're not supposed to know about 555 California Street, which is the building the Trump partially owns,
Starting point is 00:42:20 owns, probably because they wouldn't want you leaving, you know, your dog, dogs poop outside of it on a regular basis, right? They wouldn't want you staging a little demonstration outside of it. They don't want you to know, San Francisco. At 555, California Street is absolutely owned in part by Donald Trump. Yeah, a couple more things here. He said, I'm the worst treated of any president. And he was even shot at. I'm pretty sure Lincoln was shot at. Like, come on, man.
Starting point is 00:42:50 Just make. He actually took the bullet. Yeah, just take a second. And he's now said this a thousand times that how he's both more popular than Lincoln, there was no polling back then. And saying that, come on, guys, if you're MAGA, are you proud of that? If any of our presidents, even, well, great ones, which ones? I don't know, said that they were better than Lincoln or Washington or Jefferson.
Starting point is 00:43:15 That'd be deeply embarrassing. What a weird, egotomaniacal and ridiculous things. And then they've been treated worse than Lincoln? The brother was shot dead. How could you be treated worse? So, and the country was split. They literally left the union because they hated Lincoln and his idea so much. So that leads to the second thing here.
Starting point is 00:43:36 Yeah, he's an out of control rambler at this point. his mind never worked well to begin with. Now it's in absolute shambles. But the other thing is, guys, like, what are you doing with this guy? Like, saying that nonstop whining, like, that's the, like, the Republicans I was growing out with thought they were strong. And they'd make fun of liberals, oh, weak liberals, ha, ha, right? Oh, soft-hearted liberals, we're real men.
Starting point is 00:44:10 And a lot of the agro guys out there online are still saying that. So we're the alphas and stuff. You're following this whiny little bitch. I've never seen, all the politicians in my life combined have not whined anywhere near as much as just one guy, Donald Trump. So the Republican Party has turned into, oh, we love whiners. And treated so bad, they have treated worse than Lincoln, everybody, my lives, billions of dollars, that because I'm a loser idiot who's always gone bankrupt my whole life.
Starting point is 00:44:40 But because people are mean to me, my daddy only gave me $413 million and I blew it. And it's everybody else's fault. It's your fault. It's not my fault. That's the guy that you look up to as an alpha. That's humiliating. That's my third favorite jank impression. Can we just, I'll just put that in the file.
Starting point is 00:45:00 The first is the mainstream media guy. I like that guy. Really, but that one, I'd never seen that jank. That's pretty on point. Yeah. And last thing is it, the thing he says at that. And, and you know, I got shot and who the hell knows who did? What are you trying to do?
Starting point is 00:45:17 You're trying to egg people on again? And they keep implying that the Democrats somehow did it or the deep state did it. Because you want to egg on more violence, right? Like, oh, yeah, oh, you better do something about it. They, they did the shooting. Oh, aren't you going to do something? Aren't you? This guy's a dangerous, dangerous, dumbass, fascist, whining bitch.
Starting point is 00:45:38 Okay. So if that's what you are as a Republican voter these days, and you think, oh, that's my leader. That's the one guy who's crying nonstop about how everyone's unfair to him, even though he's born is one of the richest guys in the country. He was born that way with a silver spoon up his ass. And now he still cries about it. And that's the guy you look up to. Don't do it.
Starting point is 00:46:04 Don't do it. It's embarrassing. Okay. I think it was clear about that. Yeah, we'll be back. Why just survive back to school when you can thrive by creating a space that does it all for you, no matter the size. Whether you're taking over your parents' basement or moving to campus,
Starting point is 00:46:30 IKEA has hundreds of design ideas and affordable options to complement any budget. After all, you're in your small space era. It's time to own it. Shop now at IKEA.ca. All right, back on TYT, Jank Frannie and John with you guys. Zero Factor, just joined by hitting the join button, thereby becoming an American hero. And Nata Dragon at TYT.com said, yay, we have TYT's two best hosts on. John and Franny. Oh.
Starting point is 00:47:09 Earned. You're not technically a whole. I mean, I, oh. Well, I kind of am. Yeah. No, no. Okay, burn, burn. They're playing around.
Starting point is 00:47:18 And even if they're not playing around, so much. Okay. Oh, God. Okay. All right. John's got one more story for us. Okay. And I think it's going to be some fun.
Starting point is 00:47:27 Let's kick it off. Rush used to talk about it. There is a propaganda campaign done by the media networks to deflate our base. Do you agree? 100% of course, of course. And it's happening. And so we must resist that, right? We must resist the propaganda campaign, the psychological warfare that's trying to deflate us.
Starting point is 00:47:51 So what is the propaganda campaign, the psychological warfare that Charlie Kirk and his guest are talking about there? Well, if you watch the clip, it's available at Media Matters. They're talking about polls. They literally just mean that polls are being done. The polls reflect the fact that the election has changed from a month ago. The media reports on the polls, there you go, propaganda. It's unfair, and furthermore, it's designed to demoralize the base. And think about the logic there.
Starting point is 00:48:20 The idea is a month ago, when the polls showed Trump winning over Joe Biden, conservatives were gonna vote. Now that they're narrowly trailing Harris demoralized and they won't participate. And I know what you, a person with common sense are thinking, well, wouldn't they actually fight harder if they thought that they needed to to win? Don't we often worry about apathy if we think this thing is inevitable? Don't let common sense get involved in this. They're trying to accomplish a goal and the goal is to destroy the faith that their audience
Starting point is 00:48:50 has in the media or in the polls. And it's not just them, it's everywhere, right? Wingers are talking about unskewing the polls. Donald Trump is taking poll results and sending out press releases where he changes the numbers to be what he think they should be, it's all over the place. But that said, I'm in the media, so it's time to do some propaganda. You, Reuters, Ipso's poll finds that Harris has increased her lead over Trump, particularly with a boost from women and Hispanic voters.
Starting point is 00:49:19 So she's now up four points, and that same poll she was up by one point a month ago. Now, the lead of one to four is good. But actually, once you bring it down to those demographic groups, I think it's more interesting. So she led Trump 4936, that's 13 percentage points among both women voters and Hispanic voters. Across four different Reuters, Ipsos polls back in July, she had a nine point lead among women and just a six point lead among Hispanic voters. So she's increased her lead amongst women by almost 50%. She has slightly more than doubled the lead she has among Hispanic voters. Now Donald Trump does still lead among some groups, including white voters in general and men.
Starting point is 00:50:01 And by about the same margin as July, I guess that's not propaganda because it doesn't hurt the voters. I don't know. But anyway, his lead among voters without a college degree has gone down from 14 points last month to seven points this month. So it has been cut in half as she increases her lead amongst both women and Hispanic voters. And all of this is very easy to understand when you think about what she is as a candidate versus Joe Biden, the enthusiasm of very successful convention. Tim Walls has given a boost of energy to this thing. So it would like I understand why they don't want their voters to accept that Trump is not doing a good job. They are in effect doing propaganda for the Trump campaign.
Starting point is 00:50:44 But this seems to be just a reflection of reality. What do you think? Yeah, so first of all, there's two different schools of thought on this in terms of what helps if you say you're definitely winning or if you say you're losing. So I want to come back to that because it's really important in part of what they're alluding two, but they're mangling it. Before that, though, I want to do two things. One, just note quickly, one of the numbers John read you, to give you context, Joe Biden was losing to Trump among Hispanics, which was unprecedented. A Democrat losing a national election among Hispanics has not happened
Starting point is 00:51:20 in decade after decade after decade, right? So Biden was down. So that's why if you didn't know what happened to Biden, you might think, oh, a Democrat leading Trump by 13 points among Hispanic seems relatively normal. But that number was in the red before. So now that she's up by 13, that is a world of difference, a world of difference. So, okay, now, before I get to why they're saying this stuff, let's see if anyone has been, this issue of polling, has anybody been fair and honest? What do people say about it before? First, let's start with us. So I'm going to Go to an old clip of mine. It's the third one down, guys, the producers.
Starting point is 00:51:59 So let's see what we said when the Democrats were down on the polls. Let's watch. Look, numbers aren't lying. The number one copium in politics is, oh, the polls are all wrong. It's flippant. It's what everybody says. It's not remotely true. The majority of the polls are enormously accurate.
Starting point is 00:52:18 You just don't know politics if you keep saying the polls are wrong. Every once in a while, an odd poll will be off. There'll be an outlier, but the aggregate of the polls are totally correct. Every losing candidates says, the ballots are wrong. That's what Romney said. That's what Trump said. And that's now what Biden is saying. It's the constellation of all losers that the polls are wrong.
Starting point is 00:52:42 We said that when the Democrats were losing and they were blaming the polls. So now you can see because every other show, either the Democrats are 100% right or the Republicans are 100% right. And if the Democrats are losing in the polls, say they're losing, the polls are wrong. And now the Republicans are doing it. In fact, let's listen to Trump himself talk about this earlier when he was up in the polls. You know, they do that straw poll, right? Now, if it's bad, I dis- I say it, it's fake. If it's good, I say, that's the most accurate poll, perhaps every time.
Starting point is 00:53:19 You know, the polls are all rigged. Of course, lately they haven't been rigged because I'm winning by so much, I always say. Disregard that same. I love the polls very much. We're beating him by so much. Okay, so number one, there you have it. Number two, so Charlie Kirk were the polls rigged earlier on behalf of Donald Trump? because your idea is all the polls are rigged and it's all propaganda.
Starting point is 00:53:51 So were you guys rigging the polls when he was winning? It's a fair question. Branny. I just think it's funny that Charlie Kirk is whining about, you know, psychological warfare and why is Trump down in the polls when he is tasked with getting, you know, young people and college age people to come out to the Republican Party by, I guess now running on a ticket of eliminating sex for recreation, right? Absolutely not. It's purely sex for procreation. Everyone's going to have their periods tracked by Donald Trump to get your free IVF, what could be
Starting point is 00:54:30 more of a precursor to a handmaid's tale than that. Like, it's just amazing to me that their youth outreach is like having kind of a hard time in this incredibly religiously conservative zealotry, like get propped up by people who have the personality of erasers and also in Charlie Kirk's case looks like an eraser. Like it's just, it's any feel for him. So of course he's got nothing except to call it psychological warfare. Warfare. And at this point, you're just like, are you really not going to try? Because say what you will about Democrats. When they were down in the polls and everyone in their mother was like, this guy is not going to make it across the finish line, they changed it up. They switched it up. And you would only,
Starting point is 00:55:15 hope that the other party would, I mean, at this point it's probably not going to happen, but they're, I maintain that they are jealous because they would never do that to their God emperor and again, say what you will about Democrats, but they did a good thing. And Biden stepping down was massive. And so the fact that you're stuck with your old, you know, deflated Mussolini, that's not our problem. Yeah. The only final thing I want to say is What you just saw in that clip from them is just, it's a side effect of audience capture. Like, I'm sure if they thought they could get away with it without losing their audience, they'd say, Trump is just the worst candidate ever. He's undercutting himself constantly.
Starting point is 00:55:58 J.D. Vance was a terrible pick. You've got to replace him. Talk about policy. Why are you focusing on these things? They would love to be able to say what they know to be true, but their audience has been trained to think that that would be the ultimate betrayal and that would be it for their career. So instead, they have to lash out at something else. Well, we're allowed to criticize the media. I guess they're the reason Trump looks like he's failing. Isn't it nice to be able to say what you actually believe? Yep, I've got last two comments too.
Starting point is 00:56:26 It sounded like a Freudian slip there when Frannie said, psychological walls fair. Okay, I kind of like that. Don't make us do another. You sure, tell the walls and make Trump pay for it. So that's on shop. It is psychological walls fair though. They're freaking out. They cannot stand coach walls.
Starting point is 00:56:44 Like, he's just too perfect. He's too perfect of a normal person and they have no idea how to act like humans. All right. Shop2.com. We also have balls to the walls, big walls energy. We're going nuts with it. So links in the description box is always. Okay.
Starting point is 00:57:00 But at last point that I alluded to earlier, look, guys, there's two schools of thought in politics. One is you tell everybody that you're winning because people like to vote for winners and then you pick up a point or two just on people that go in and go, I'm gonna vote for the winner. And if you think that's crazy, nobody does that. You're actually wrong. Some people do do that. Okay, and that's such a sad psychological phenomenon, but it's true. That's why Hillary Clinton did the really stupid thing in 2016 of going, I'm winning, I'm winning. And she didn't, she doesn't, guys, you have to understand how the real world works. They don't go to Gallup and Emerson and Monmouth College and go, I want you to change those numbers and pretend that I'm
Starting point is 00:57:39 I'm winning. That's not how they do it. No, Mika Brazinski said after the 2016 election, whenever we said that Hillary Clinton was not, you know, winning easily, Hillary's team would call us and yell at us. So that's how it works in the real world where they try to affect the media and say, tell everybody we're winning. Don't ever say we're not winning. Now, the reason why I called it stupid is because the counterpoint is it makes your own side complacent. And think, oh, she already won. I don't need to go and show up and vote. And that's exactly how she lost the election.
Starting point is 00:58:14 So even if it was psychological warfare to intimidate the media, which is real, changing the polls is not real. That's not, it just doesn't happen, right? Other than Rasmus, which is like some weird old outlier, I don't know what the hell they're doing with their polls. But you can tell when a poll is an outlier, it doesn't match any of the other. In turtle polls. Yeah, maybe.
Starting point is 00:58:34 Yeah. So, but in between those two things, which one is? should you do? First of all, you shouldn't do lying because it's dumb and it's inauthentic and eventually the voters find out in the long run, right? But the main point is, no, even if you could intimidate the media, Hillary Clinton proved that's a really bad idea. It's actually counterproductive. So if the Democrats were rigging the polls to make it seem like Kamala Harris is winning, I would tell them, no, don't do that. It'll make your side complacent, you'll lose the election. So none of it makes any logical sense. And so when I see
Starting point is 00:59:12 right wing media saying things to their audience that's so detached from reality, it's a little dispiriting because that is being pumped into millions of people's heads. And then they believe it when it isn't even close to true. Yeah. Okay, all right, we got to go. We're way past time. Everybody check out the bituation room in our podcast network. Wait, this way, okay, this way. I figured it out finally. And check out, check out damage report. Hey, I did it. Okay. Almost at a million subscribers. Be the million subscriber. Go nuts. Well, be among the first million. All right, we got to come back. More Trump clowning when we come back. Total hilarious spiral. We'll be right back. We're going to be.
Starting point is 01:00:04 I'm
