You're listening to The Young Turks, the online news show.
Make sure to follow and rate our show with not one, not two, not three, not four, but five stars.
You're awesome.
Thank you.
All right, welcome the Young Turks, Jake Ugar, Anna Kusparian.
Once again, obviously huge newsday, hence we must start the conversation with our clothing about our clothing.
So I don't know that we've ever had a bigger disparity.
There's a pretty big disparity today.
Yes.
Usually I'm the one that's on fleek, but today not so much.
So I'm not saying I look good.
I'm just, you know, that conversation just started organically.
Oh, you've already determined that you look good.
Okay.
And of course, today we have lumberjack Anna.
Yes.
Some people say lumberjack Anna is their favorite kind of Anna.
So.
When are we going to do lime action figures?
that kids get at home can buy.
Okay, lumberjack, Anna, I don't know.
There's a bunch of other ones that we can go with AK-47, Casper, the friendly host, et cetera.
Oh, my God, for John Iderola, we could do like a thousand different action figures.
Johnny Pie, Johnny Ty, True North, John with no beard, with a beard, with glasses.
Okay, in the post game, I want to talk to you guys about
one of John's hobbies.
I'm going to ask him if he'll be okay with me talking about it.
I'm sure he will.
Too late.
It's coming.
Whether he likes it or not.
I'm not going to ask him.
We're just going to talk about it.
Of course.
Why would we ask permission from Johnny Pie?
Aw, John.
Anyway, get that post game by going to t.yt.com slash join.
Today we got a ton of stuff for you guys throughout the network.
So old schools tonight, Mark Thompson, Michael Schoran, today.
And one of the fun topics I'd like to have with them is, what was their favorite job ever?
And Mark has had an interesting career.
He's been a weatherman, talk show host, and one of the top voice actors in the country,
voice of American Idol and cops, et cetera.
So we'll have that discussion for the members on old school, just fun.
Post game, we'll make fun of Johnny Pie.
That'll be great.
Plus, I have some stories we didn't get to over the last couple of days that I want to share with you guys in the post game as well.
And then I got Rebel, a couple of great guests on Rebel headquarters, of course.
And I want to let you know that speaking of the entire network, Facebook.com slash RebelHQ
is where we stream a lot of the progressive events in the country, including tomorrow.
There's a women's strike us.org that is a rally called Cancel Cavanaugh.
It's an event, not a rally as much.
It's a walk out against patriarchy, and we will be covering that tomorrow.
tomorrow at 4 p.m. Eastern, you could always get those streaming events live at Facebook.com
slash Rebel HQ. Okay, and of course, get all of our programming by becoming a member,
t.t.com slash join. And today, I don't know why today was the day that set me off, but,
and it's not like we, it's news to me, but the combination of Trump's tax story and what he
said about Dr. Ford, which we'll get to in a second, I mean, I'd be.
became sad for the country all over again, that we have this pathetic, pathetic man, the worst
of us as our president.
So it's an indictment not just of him, of the country, but I think perhaps even humanity.
I know that's a lot to say, but we'll talk more about it as we go here.
And I think, unfortunately, I think we'll prove out our case on today's show.
All right, Anna, take it away.
All right.
Donald Trump was in South Haven, Mississippi for a rally.
And even though he has been somewhat relatively measured in response to accusations against Brett
Kavanaugh, he really let loose during this rally and he directly attacked Dr. Blasey Ford.
So we're going to show you a portion of what he had to say and then discuss it.
So let's take a look.
So many different charges, guilty until proven.
innocent, that's very dangerous for our country. That's very dangerous for our country.
It shouldn't happen to him. Shouldn't happen to him. What he's going through, 36 years ago,
this happened. I had one beer, right? I had one beer. Well, do you think it was, nope, it was one
beer. Oh, good. How did you get home? I don't remember. How'd you get there? I don't remember.
Where is the place? I don't remember. How many years ago was it? I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
What neighborhood was it in?
I don't know.
Where's the house?
I don't know.
Upstairs, downstairs.
Where was it?
I don't know.
But I had one beer.
That's the only thing I remember.
And a man's life is in tatters.
A man's life is shattered.
His wife is shattered.
His daughters, who are beautiful, incredible.
Young kids.
They destroy people.
They want to destroy people.
These are really evil people.
I mean, you want to talk about projection.
These are really evil people.
This poor man's life was shattered.
He said, look, do I have to, look, there's two parts of this.
One is how sick it is to attack her after he'd already called her very credible.
And of course, he couldn't contain himself.
And it has to make a lot of people's stomach turn throughout the country, women, sexual assault survivors in the first place.
The second part is, as usual, riddled with falsehoods, lies over and over and over again.
So what year was it?
I don't remember.
No, that's not true.
She does remember.
It was 1982.
She was very clear about that.
Is it upstairs or downstairs?
I don't remember.
That's not true.
She was incredibly clear about that.
It was upstairs.
And so the only thing I remember is having one beard.
No, she unfortunately remembers a sexual assault very, very clearly.
Everything he said was a lie.
And we knew that this monster couldn't help himself.
Let me ask you something.
First off, he mentions the phrase, guilty until proven innocent, as if Brett Kavanaugh is
facing a criminal investigation right now.
He's not facing a criminal investigation.
Perhaps he should, because if this had to do with a personal.
possible conviction for a crime, then it's wrong to consider someone guilty until proven
innocent.
Now put that aside, he doesn't know if Kavanaugh is guilty.
We don't know without a shadow of a doubt if he's guilty, which is why, again, for the
billionth time, it's important to do the investigation, which Republicans were running
away from, and now they're still severely limiting.
There are a number of people who have been trying to get in touch with the FBI to pass over
evidence and they've been unable to do so, all sorts of issues with the investigation.
Later on in the show, we're going to talk about how Mitch McConnell and other members of the
Senate are trying to prevent Democratic senators from seeing the result of the investigation.
They're trying to prevent Americans from seeing the results of the investigation.
Why? What are they afraid of? If you are certain that he's innocent, then you should have
nothing to be afraid of. Okay, but that's beside the point. When was the last time you went
to a job interview, which is essentially what Brett Kavanaugh went to when he went to all these
hearings, including the hearing where they testified about the alleged sexual assaults.
But when was the last time you went to a job interview, yelled, accused people of things,
cried, demanded, you know, certain things to be done, and you got the job.
Has that ever happened to anyone?
That's a good point. I never thought about it that way.
No one, no one is entitled to anything, including a job in the highest court of the land,
And so I agree, if he's facing a criminal prosecution and he's potentially going to get convicted
for something, you can't just assume he's guilty.
I don't think you should just assume he's guilty in this case either.
But again, the way Republicans have handled this makes it appear that they don't believe
he's innocent.
Look, it's some of the Republicans have been handling this with a little bit more deft than others.
So, Flake, for example, he voted to have Kavanaugh advance to the Senate anyway, don't
get me wrong about that, but he asked for an FBI investigation, and he has been trying
to be respectful of Dr. Blasey Ford.
Others have been a lot more vituberative, like Lindsey Graham, continues to attack everyone
on this case.
Just today, he talked about how Senator Klobuchar should apologize to Kavanaugh for ever asking
about his drinking habits.
And, but of course, the worst of all was, he hadn't been yet, and we were clear about that.
We're like, whoa, we even joked around about, hey, is they giving him tranquilizers, what's going on,
and gave him credit for not doing what he normally does.
But you knew that it was a matter of time, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick,
and the bomb goes off.
And so to say that he was deeply disrespectful there is an understatement, let alone the lies
as he's mocking this woman who is a sexual assault survivor, that's, and everyone agrees
her story was credible.
The only thing that the Republicans have to hang their hat on is that it wasn't Kavanaugh.
That's their main argument.
But you're gonna mock her when you even called her credible, almost all the Republicans
now say, yeah, it very likely happened to her, it just might not have been Kavanaugh.
So you decided, yeah, she probably survived an attempted raid.
and it trammetized her for years.
Who cares?
Let's go make fun of her at a political rally.
That's who Donald Trump is.
Well, there are two things that the Republican Party is doing, and they do it simultaneously,
and it's incredibly ridiculous because I guess they don't think they need to choose one
strategy or the other.
They're just trying both simultaneously.
So the first strategy is to paint her as a liar, right?
The second strategy is to acknowledge that it happened, but it happened so long ago, who cares?
In fact, during that same rally, during that same speech, Trump said, and I quote verbatim, what he's
going through, 36 years ago this happened.
Oh, so are you acknowledging that it happened, but you don't care because it was 36 years
ago?
We're talking about the highest court in the United States.
You are comfortable with someone committing a sexual assault.
I don't care if he was in high school.
If you attempted rape, that says something about you.
It's not the same as experimenting with drugs.
It's not the same as possibly shoplifting.
I think people can mature and change.
If you think you're entitled to someone else's body like that, I don't think you should
ever serve as a judge, period.
But he said that.
What he's going through, 36 years ago, this happened.
Well, the highest officer in land as president, and Trump has been accused of sexual misconduct
by 15 to 20 women, depending on how you count, and people have lost count generally.
But let's take the lower number.
Fifteen different women said that Trump did likewise, that he grabbed them, as he bragged
about in that famous Hollywood Access Tape, or Access Hollywood Tape, grabbed them in the
genitalia, grabbed their breasts, groped them, sexually assaulted them.
them, sexually harassed them, et cetera.
And that was earlier than 36 years ago.
And he thinks, I mean, don't guys get to do this anymore?
So for him, the good old days is we do it to you and you take it.
And that's what he wants to go back to.
And part of what's so sickening is, of course, all the people in the background,
including the women, cheering.
Yeah, good old days.
What are we going to go back 36 years and punish a guy for trying to rape.
someone, come on, really?
So I want to address one other part of this.
During Donald Trump's rally in Mississippi, he thought that it was a great idea to mock
one of Brett Kavanaugh's accusers, Dr. Blasey Ford.
And after he mocked her, the crowd behind him was seen cheering and specifically laughing.
You could hear the crowd laughing as well.
And what stood out to me was part of Dr. Blasey's testimony.
The one thing she said, she remembers vividly about the alleged assault.
So let's take a look at what her testimony was.
Both Brett and Mark were drunkenly laughing during the attack.
They seem to be having a very good time.
Indelible in the hippocampus is the laughter, the uproarious laughter between the two.
And they're having fun.
at my expense.
They were laughing with each other.
And you were the object of the laughter?
I was, you know, underneath one of them while the two laughed.
Two friends having a really good time with one another.
So we heard that testimony.
We're going to play this video for you guys again.
So we, and they asked her, so you were the object of their laughter.
And she said yes.
Just a little while later, Trump and a rally in Mississippi did this.
And in this case, I want you to pay attention to the crowd.
So many different charges.
Guilty until proven, innocent, that's very dangerous for our country.
That's very dangerous for our country.
It shouldn't happen to him.
Shouldn't happen to him.
What he's going through, 36 years ago, this happened.
I had one beer, right?
I had one beer.
Well, do you think it was, nope, it was one beer.
Oh, good.
How did you get home?
I don't remember.
How did you get there?
I don't remember.
Where is the place?
I don't remember.
How many years ago was it?
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
What neighborhood was it in?
I don't know.
Where's the house?
I don't know.
Upstairs, downstairs.
Where was it?
I don't know, but I had one beer.
That's the only thing I remember.
And a man's life is in tatters.
A man's life is shattered.
His wife has shattered, his daughters who are beautiful, incredible young kids.
They destroy people.
They want to destroy people.
These are really evil people.
Were you the object of their laughter?
Yes.
So they laughed at her again.
And to see those women laughing, to see one of them holding up a woman for Trump sign.
And I mean, look, a lot of the guys, you just saw the video yourself, smiling throughout.
And there's the little kid there.
Jesus, man, what does this country become?
Even other Republicans, Collins, Flake, saying, appalling.
I mean, bringing up this issue in a political.
Rally is terrible to begin with, let alone mocking the survivor and then having everybody
laugh along.
I know that his rallies are a circus, and that's what they like about him.
He's an entertainer.
I've explained this before.
He's basically the WWE entertainer, and he creates characters and the CNN and the other
guys are the bad guys, but everybody has fun and asks for autographs afterwards, even
a Bacosta, the CNN anchor, et cetera.
But there are some things that shouldn't be entertainment.
And so this is a critique I have often of the conservatives.
They just think it's a fun game.
And I guess for them it is a fun game.
They have power.
They get rich.
They have a lot of benefactors.
But politics isn't a game.
It affects people's lives.
So that's a real person, Christine Blasey Ford.
And most Republicans acknowledge that what happened to her was real.
Not all of them obviously acknowledged that it was Kavanaugh, but you're going to mock a sexual assault
survivor like that, and the crowd's going to go nuts.
I mean, here we are, back in Rome and in the Coliseum, and people are being fed to the lions
symbolically, and the crowd is entertained.
Gee, I wonder why sexual assault victims don't come out and report it as soon as it happens.
We have one more forward video that I want to show you.
Again, this is from her testimony at the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.
I believed he was going to rape me.
I tried to yell for help.
When I did, Brett put his hand over my mouth to stop me from yelling.
This is what terrified me the most and has had the most lasting impact on my life.
It was hard for me to breathe.
And I thought that Brett was accidentally.
going to kill me.
Somewhere, Corey Lewandowski is saying wamp, womp, and Trump.
The whole Republican Party.
If you still stand by these people, you know, it's one thing if you were scammed into voting
for Trump during the election.
But if after all this, you still support them, you embarrass me, like you make me
embarrassed to be an American.
And that's the overwhelming feeling.
I got today, man, the guy, this is a sick guy. And unfortunately, well, I was going to say more
people voted for him. They didn't. But he won the election either way. And tens of millions of
fellow Americans voted for him, enough for him to win. And so what does it say about us?
Not just Trump, not just the people at that rally, not just his voters, but about us and
about humanity, that we're willing to let a monster like this be our leader, because we're
a little entertained.
All right, back on the Young Turks.
I'm going to actually go to YouTube Super Chat first, then to the members.
We need to talk about a relatively new show called Un-F-The Republic, or UNFTR.
As a Young Turks fan, you already know that the government, the media, and corporations are constantly
peddling lies that serve the interests of the rich in power.
But now there's a podcast dedicated to unraveling those lies, debunking the conventional wisdom.
In each episode of Un-B-The-Republic or UNFTR, the host delves into a different historical
episode or topic that's generally misunderstood or purposely obfuscated by the so-called
powers that be.
Featuring in-depth research, razor-sharp commentary, and just the right amount of vulgarity,
the UNFTR podcast takes a sledgehammer to what you thought.
you knew about some of the nation's most sacred historical cows.
But don't just take my word for it.
The New York Times described UNFTR as consistently compelling and educational,
aiming to challenge conventional wisdom and upend the historical narratives that were taught in school.
For as the great philosopher Yoda once put it,
You must unlearn what you have learned.
And that's true whether you're in Jedi training or you're uprooting and exposing all the propaganda and disinformation
you've been fed over the course of your lifetime.
So search for UNFDR in your podcast app today
and get ready to get informed, angered, and entertained
all at the same time.
Being plain Jane writes in on Super Chat,
thank you for years of teaching me about our government.
Seriously.
Thank you guys.
I mean, I appreciate that you guys.
That you guys trust us on that.
And of course, we always ask you to do your own research as well.
You should always hold everyone accountable.
Okay, sincerely Scully writes in, what's your take on Gillum slash Hillary campaigning together
in Florida?
I think it will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
They'll never learn, they'll never learn.
I don't know why Gillum's asking for it.
She lost Florida.
She's not popular in Florida.
She's not popular anywhere.
Why would you, they're maddening?
I really don't get it.
I don't, she lost to Trump, like one of the worst people on the planet, we were just talking
in the break about how he has, like, usually people are a mixed bag, Trump has no redeeming
qualities.
And he won, he won against Hillary Clinton.
Why would you think it's a good idea to campaign with her anyway?
No, no, no, Democrats, they're never, ever, ever, ever gonna learn.
We're gonna relive this in just a couple of months, guys.
Once the election's over, 2020 starts, okay?
And no one will have learned a single damn lesson.
They'll all say Bernie's unelectable, even though he got a huge percentage of the vote.
They'll all say you should pick an establishment person like Hillary because that's the way to win.
They'll say it, watch, it's guaranteed, write it down in stone, okay?
So anyway, engineer says, look, I think Gillum's going to win anyway, but it's not helping him, if anything, it's hurting him.
That's just the reality of it.
I'm done with Hillary Clinton.
There's no point in being angry at her.
It's not about that at all, right?
It's just that it's a bad strategy.
It's hurting his chances.
Anyway, okay, engineer writes in now in the member section, BK, Brett Kavanaugh, is instantly
impeachable once on the Supreme Court.
Any replacement will be just as conservative, but could be around for 40 years.
Be careful what you wish for it.
That's a really interesting point, and one I had not considered.
So the Republicans might be screwing themselves over worse.
I mean, if at any point somebody comes forward, let's say, I mean,
It could be that, hey, McConnell rushes the vote, it could be, and then we find out what
was more stuff that was in the FBI report, all that stuff.
But it could be the three years from now, Mark Judge, in therapy, goes, we did it.
I got to get it off my chest, we did it, right?
And then he comes forward and tells people, yeah, we did it.
Well, they're going to impeach Kavanaugh, and then you might have a Democratic president.
Oops.
Instead of having a conservative on the court for 30, 40 years, you might only have him for a brief
period of time. So, but no, no, no, no, no, no. They got to have it their way. They got to have a
conservative. They got to have it be the most right-wing one. They got to have it right now.
And if, you know, these charges be damned, who cares? I bet you. I mean, Anna said it a million
times. McConnell warned Trump not to pick this guy. Trump picked him anyway. Did they know?
Did he know? Maybe he knew and thought, I'm going to stick with him because he denies it. He
strongly denies it. Why? Because if he has any empathy for any person at all, it might be a guy
accused of doing sexual assault because he might see himself. No, I'm not backing away from him.
I don't know. Okay, like engineer said, be careful what you ask for. All right, last one is
C.C. Rotogoni. I'm doing the best I can with that name. Does Trump have no shame or is he
not able to form new memories and just cannot remember he called her credible? Either way,
he needs to go, Kavanaugh needs to go, I'm exhausted watching Trump continue to lower the bar.
And that's exactly right in what we were talking about during the break.
The man, I mean, he has no almost seemingly no empathy for anyone else.
He has no shame about lying.
He has no shame about cheating.
As we'll talk about later in the show, he has no shame about his dad who gave him everything, burying his dad,
trying to steal from him twice while he was dying.
He's the worst guy in the world.
I've now concluded I used to call him Joffrey Trump, right?
I now believe he's worse than Joffrey in Game of Thrones.
Joffrey, at least would have cared about his mom, Searcy.
Trump seems to care about no one.
No one but himself.
We've elected a sociopath.
So you think, well, how could he make fun of her after he called her credible just a couple of days ago?
Because he has no conscience.
He doesn't, to him lying is the most normal thing in the world, hypocrisy, changing your answers.
Who cares?
There was never any accountability.
There was never any consequences.
So do I look forward to consequences?
I mean, look, if one day, if I see that guy in handcuffs, it'll be the happiest day of my life.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
You know, I remember when Castro died, Fidel Castro died, and Cubans in Miami, South Florida,
were celebrating, they were on the streets, huge celebrations.
And I get it, especially, you know, the first wave of Cuban refugees who came into the United
States.
I understand where that happiness comes from now.
Yeah.
I mean, different political issues clearly, but anyway.
And so look, I want to be super clear, because we're not Trump, we're not those guys.
When I talk about consequences, I'm talking about legal consequences because I don't want
the Dick Cheney's and the Donald Trump's dying one day, especially prematurely.
I know they're both old anyway, but in some sort of, you know, in any way that's premature,
because then people are going to mourn them.
They're going to get sympathy.
They're going to get all this stuff that they've never, ever, ever merited.
I want consequences while they're alive.
That's why I'm dying for the handcuffs.
No, no, no, I just realized that what I just said could be misconstrued.
Of course, I don't want them to die prematurely.
Right, I don't want that to happen to them.
And Castro didn't die prematurely either.
Exactly, that's why I thought of Castro.
And he hung on for dear life for decades.
Yeah.
Anyway, all right, let's go.
Okay.
Following Trump's statements about Dr. Blasey Ford at his rally in Mississippi, in those
comments, of course, he decided to mock Dr. Blasey Ford.
A number of public figures, including lawmakers and some Fox television hosts, decided to criticize him.
So let's go through these criticisms.
Let's start with Jeff Blake.
I'll start with you, Senator Flake.
What do you think of those remarks?
Well, there's no time and no place for remarks like that.
But to discuss something this sensitive at a political rally is just not right.
It's just not right.
I wish you hadn't had done it.
I just say it's kind of a folly.
Okay, so I'll address what he said in just a minute.
But first, a side point, I guess.
Like, he and Chris Coons now do every television appearance together.
Like, we got it.
You guys are buddies.
You guys are, like, you know, the bipartisan effort on this.
Except Flake votes with conservatives and with Trump 100% of the time, pretty much.
Yeah, I think you're going to do a movie together soon.
One of those, like, buddy comedies.
But instead of being cops, they're going to be, like, bipartisan senators.
It's going to be the least interesting movie ever made.
Probably.
Right.
But look, usually when you have bipartisan agreement in Washington, it means they're coming
to rob you and they're about to give huge taxes to the rich or whatever else it might be.
In this case, it is actually welcomed bipartisanship.
And as Flake himself has admitted, he said, I would never do this if I was up for re-election.
I'm retiring.
That's the only reason why I can tell you, honestly, he said it in 60 minutes.
They said, would you have done the right thing here in this case and called for an FBI investigation?
if you were running for reelection.
He said, not a chance.
That's the only reason why you're seeing decency there.
But at the end of the day, by the way, not only did he vote to advance Kavanaugh, not only
does he vote with Trump about 95% of the time, but when the Democrats asked to bring
Mark Judge in so that he could be questioned, he voted no.
So he's also in some ways part of the cover up.
Again, I'm giving him credit here because it's very rare to see a Republican ever do anything
that's conciliatory or compromise, and he did call for the FBI investigation, and you should
give him credit for that.
But overall, understand that he overwhelmingly votes with the bad guys anyway, even though
he's retiring, there will be one last vote on Kavanaugh, and that will likely be determinative
for Jeff Flake's career, reputation, et cetera.
We'll see.
I mean, certainly reputation.
I feel like if you're not going to seek re-election, just do the right thing.
But anyway, we'll see how this goes.
Susan Collins was also asked the same question as she was basically running away from reporters and into her office.
So let's hear what she had to say.
Are you president of the president's attacks on Christine Bobby Ford?
Are you president of the president of attacks on Christine Bollinger Collins?
Just plain wrong.
Okay, strong statement.
So that's fair.
No, she turned around and talk to the reporters and said just plain wrong.
We'll take it.
There's only one thing that matters.
How are they going to vote at that?
So, and the FBI investigation is not in yet.
So, look, I think we've seen enough.
We came in with an open mind, we covered on the show for days and go back, watch our videos
from the first couple of days and all throughout.
But the evidence has been mounting and mounting that Kavanaugh lies on a consistent basis.
He did it several times during his testimony, including saying he hadn't heard of the Ramirez
allegations, second allegations until the New Yorker's story came out.
Now it is indisputable.
We have texts and other evidence showing that, no, he knew about the article and was trying
to go after Ramirez's credibility before the article.
So whether you think it's okay to go after her credibility, he clearly lied, and that
is one of many instances.
So I think I've seen enough, but I know that the Republicans like Collins need overwhelming,
Overwhelming proof, it has to be the clearest thing in the world.
The FBI investigation is still to come.
But at the end of the day, Collins, Flake, Murkowski, and anyone else with a conscience, we're
going to find out, we're going to find out which way you're going to vote, and it'll stay
with you for the rest of your life.
So one of the more interesting responses came from Brian Kilmead on Fox, and I just say that
it was an interesting reaction because he wants to criticize Trump, but he's on Fox, so he has
to be super measured in how he does so. So just watch how he attempts to do this.
The tactic of the president laying low has been lauded by all sides. Last night he chose to
blow it as the FBI is handing in the report as early as today. I wonder about the wisdom.
As much as the crowd loved it, I wonder about the wisdom tactically of him doing that.
Well, there were holes in her story.
I wonder about the wisdom of him doing it. No, why don't you just say it?
It was a really bad idea to mock the accuser here, especially before any of the FBI findings
are released.
And by the way, he mentioned that these findings could be released or given to the Senate Judiciary
Committee as soon as tonight.
What happened to one week?
I thought this was going to be a one week investigation.
Hasn't been a week.
I know.
Why not take the full week?
It's unbelievable.
Anyway, we'll see.
We'll see.
The FBI report's not in yet.
But on Kill Mead, you know, it's up until now, we've just talked about the sustenance
of how bad it was for Trump to mock.
her at a political rally.
But if we're talking tactics, as Kilmeet brought up, also keep that in mind, and that's
why Fox might be upset, because it's only going to alienate, Flake, Collins, and Murkowski
and make it harder for them to vote yes.
So Fox News wants them to vote yes, the Republican Party wants them to vote yes, all conservatives
want them to vote yes, and Trump just made that harder, because he rubbed it in everybody's
face. Ah, ha, ha, ha, I'm laughing at her. I'm laughing at her. Now, when Collins votes with him,
she's going to seem like she's laughing at the sexual assault survivor too. It made her job
tactically much harder. But that's why I told you that Trump was going to get almost
nothing done, because he's a buffoon. And anytime any reporter talks about how they
talks in any context about Donald Trump's strategy, honestly, they should be fired.
There's no strategy. There's never any strategy. If you're pretending there's a strategy,
you apparently have not been paying attention at all.
He's just a monster and he can't help himself.
So he gets out there in front of his crowd and he's like, let's throw it to the lions.
There's no strategy.
Of course that's going to hurt you politically.
But he's just too dumb to know or care.
Well, another person who's too dumb doesn't care, Lindsay Graham, let's move on to him.
During the hearing involving Dr. Blasey Ford and Brett Kavanaugh's testimony,
There was an exchange between Senator Klobuchar and Kavanaugh that caught a lot of attention.
It was controversial.
In fact, it was so controversial that later Kavanaugh had to apologize following a recess during
the hearing.
But I want to show you that exchange so you can remember.
And then I'm going to update you with what Lindsay Graham has just said about that exchange.
Take a look.
I remember what happened.
And I think you've probably had beer's center.
And so you're saying there's never been a case where you drank so much that you didn't remember what happened the night before or part of what happened.
You're asking about blackout. I don't know. Have you?
Could you answer the question, Judge? I just, to you have, that's not happened. Is that your answer?
Yeah, and I'm curious if you have.
I have no drinking problem, Judge. Nor do I.
Yeah, look.
I've said this a thousand times before.
If I was wrongly accused, I'd be snappy, too.
If you believe he was wrongly accused, which I do not.
But it's not good form.
Even like if you're having an emotional day, by the way, let's note for the record that if he was a woman and he was having an emotional day when he's applying for a Supreme Court position, probably wouldn't have gone as well for him.
Okay.
But to turn around to a senator and be like, oh yeah, do you have a drinking prom?
Do you ever blackout?
Well, it's not exactly the temperament of a Supreme Court justice, right?
I mean, the fact that he didn't seem to get it while he was doing it was almost weird.
And he's otherwise a bright guy.
He's got a massive other issues.
No, but here's the thing.
Look, people are emotional.
I get that.
But one of the qualities that our Supreme Court justices are supposed to have is that they dispassionately protect our Constitution, enforce our constitutional.
If he's this overwhelmed with emotion while Senator Klobuchar is asking him a simple question
about his drinking habits.
By the way, you're innocent?
Great opportunity to talk about your drinking habits and say, hey, you know what?
Instead of lying, which she did several times throughout this hearing, I did enjoy beer when
I was in college.
I did enjoy beer when I was in high school, yes, but I never experienced being blackout drunk.
Moving on, right?
It's a relevant question considering the accusations against him.
No, he had to go further.
Look, he said, I like beer like 29 times, but he kept denying that he drank excessively.
When there's, it's all over the record that you would, you know, project out vomit, the, you know, nonstop, obnoxious drinking, et cetera.
But it's still a layup.
If Kolbuchar asked me that question, have you ever drank the excess?
Absolutely.
Have you ever blacked out?
No.
No, no, I've never blacked out.
I haven't.
So it's an easy answer.
I wouldn't get testy about that because it's easy.
I've never blacked out.
Right.
Asked and answered.
But he's obviously testy about it.
Right.
And also just the optics of it do matter, right?
You're being questioned by a female senator.
And when you snap back at her like that, it doesn't look good.
It does it, considering the charges against you.
I'm not saying that he's treating her that way because she's a woman.
I'm saying that when you do react to her that way, the optics look especially bad considering the charges against you.
That's what I'm trying to say.
Okay, so then he realized it was a bad idea, and he even apologized for it after a recess.
Take a look.
Started my last colloquy by saying to Senator Colombrichar how much I respect her and respected
what she did at the last hearing and she asked me a question at the end that I responded
by asking her a question and I didn't, sorry I did that, this is a tough process.
I'm sorry about that.
I appreciate that.
I would like to add when you have a parent that's an alcoholic, you're pretty careful
about drinking.
Okay, that's fine.
He apologized.
Okay, that's good.
That is good.
Exactly.
So now Lindsey Graham, he reflects back on this exchange and here's what he has to say about
it.
This is the one that bothers me the most.
He apologized to Amy Klobuchar for snapping at him, at her.
What would you do if you were accused of all these things, had your life ruined?
Here's what I think.
Amy Klobuchar should apologize to Judge Kavanaugh and his family for being part of a
a smear campaign I haven't seen in over 20 years in politics.
Shmere campaigns are very serious.
And sometimes those are delicious.
Yeah, you want to make sure you get the right smear for the bagel.
Yeah.
Anyway, but so Amy Klobuchar, who asked a perfectly fine question given the context of the
accusations against him should be the one who apologizes to him after he snapped at
her.
Yeah, yeah, they just, they're not getting it.
And they just go on and on and pile on.
Oh yeah, that female senator should apologize to the guy because she believed the sexual assault
survivor and she should apologize for asking many questions at all.
Okay, Lindsay, if that's how you want to roll.
You know what Trump did do that I guess could be seen as a positive depending on how voters
react to it moving forward?
You know, before Trump, we thought Republicans in Congress, whether in the center of House of Republicans, House of Republicans, House of Representatives, they're just typical Republicans, conservative, they disagree with us on policy.
But they're not monsters, at least not all of them, right?
They're just different in terms of their perspective on how to run the country.
But no, Trump has emboldened people like Lindsey Graham to be publicly open about what kind of monster he really is.
is. Yeah, well, look, remember, Lindsey Graham's the guy who's never met a war he didn't want to
make out with. And so he recently said about North Korea, it's like, yeah, but if the war starts,
most of the people die over there, not here. Meaning not just North Korea, but our allies in
South Korea, totally indifferent to their lives. That's the kind of monster Lindsey Graham is.
In fact, the one time that he got upset with Trump, and he just did it yesterday in another discussion,
He said he has that Trump has to cut out that love crap with Kim Jong-un.
And I, you know, I did a video about this over the weekend.
Trump in a rally said that he fell in love with Kim Jong-un.
So he'll attack sexual assault survivors but fall in love with dictators.
Gee, I wonder if he's a bad guy, I can't quite tell.
But Lizzie Graham doesn't like that because he wants war.
So he just, he's like, no, no, no, you should keep attacking Kim Jong-un.
You should attack everyone.
And why is Lizzie Graham sucking up to Trump so much?
Well, he lost all his buddies, right?
So, Joe Lieberman was one of the three amigos with Graham and McCain.
Lieberman got run out of the Senate.
Bye, bye.
And then after he left, they brought in Kelly Ayat to be another warmonger.
She lost, so she's gotten.
And then obviously McCain just passed away.
So he's looking for an alpha to attach himself to.
He's looking for a friend, okay?
That's so sad.
And so that's, but that's who Lindsay Graham is.
He's a sad little suck up.
And so he's looking for an alpha to suck up to.
And so, but they, he doesn't have quite the courage to start a fight without an alpha.
So he would be like, let's go get him.
Let's see, we should attack, right?
Who cares of the other guys?
Like, come on, let's go get him.
Right?
And now he's trying to, you know, slither up to Donald Trump and start wars with him.
Lindsay Graham, one of the saddest guys in the country.
When we come back, we are going to show you more examples.
of women approaching lawmakers and sharing their stories of sexual assault and their reactions,
the lawmakers' reactions. Amazing. You don't want to miss it. We'll be right back.
We hope you're enjoying this free clip from The Young Turks. If you want to get the whole show

All right, back on a young Turks.
A lot to get to you guys.
Actually, let me read, tell you about Squarespace before I get to your comments, et cetera.

They have helped build websites for us, including when I built Anna's own websites on Squarespace as well.
You guys can get 10% off by going to Squarespace.com slash TYT.
And they have pre-made award-winning templates at a 24-7 customer support.
That's really important.
They really do.
And it is really super simple.
And so I think it's a good way to build a website and almost everybody needs one at this
point.
So you might as well go to Squarespace.com slash TYT and get 10% off.
Thank you to them for being a sponsor.
Okay.
So I'm going to go to some of the comments from the members now.
One of 19 says, the New York Times article is damning for Trump.
My thought about this attacks on Ford was that he knew he needed a very strong distraction.
You know what?
I actually thought the same thing.
And the only reason why I didn't say it earlier is because of my rule that Donald Trump
doesn't have any strategy.
So, you know what I'm saying?
Like, I think that he just got in front of the crowd and was just fun, having fun.
I really think that's the most likely, you know.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But it did, whether it was intended or not, in some ways it helped him.
Because he's just the guy, you know, he's like that monster.
in Star Trek, like I've said often, where you, if you fire the phasers at him, he only grows stronger.
And everybody already knows he's a vicious prick, right?
So that's not an issue for him.
But him being a loser who had to rely on his daddy for all of his money, that's an issue
that hurts him, he thinks, right?
And so to him, that's a much more damaging problem.
Not that he cheated and lied and did tax evasion, he doesn't care about that.
He thinks that makes him look strong.
The fact that he had to rely on his daddy and he was a loser all along.
Yeah, that bothers him the most.
Yes.
Because he already knows based on that one tax return that we had access to, I think it
was from 1995, and we found that he had, you know, dodged, he evaded taxes essentially.
And his fans and his base responded by, yeah, yeah, he's smart, that's what a smart man does.
So he doesn't care about the tax fraud part, but he does care about appearing as though
He needed daddy to bail him out and he did need daddy to bail him out a lot.
Yeah, we'll get to that in a second.
So let me read a couple more quick comments here.
Paul writes in, Sarah Sanders said that Trump was stating facts about Dr. Ford's testimony
at rally and not making fun of Dr. Ford.
How does Sarah continue to do this and sleep at night?
Can I just quickly answer that actually?
I don't know if anyone else is noticing, but she's not really doing very many press conferences
anymore.
She went from doing press conferences regularly, I mean, it felt like almost every day, to now
doing them very rarely.
So that's how she's doing it.
Yeah, trying to do less and less because every time she gets out there, if she has a soul,
a little piece of it dies.
So Justin L. writes in in the members comment again, remember when the worst thing about
Brett Kavanaugh was he spent too much time on baseball, spent too much on baseball tickets?
Oh my gosh.
That's right, remember that?
Jank predicted back then that Republicans were trying to get ahead of a bigger scandal they
knew would break later, right again.
That's interesting, Justin.
Now, that's a comment after my own heart, reminding me how right I was.
But if you do remember it, Justin's right, I remember thinking, why is this a scandal?
Like what was about, why did they put this out?
And they chose to put it out.
That was what was weird about it.
Like he's been a successful judge for a very long time, and I found it strange that
based on the finances, it appeared that he was broke.
And I'm like, how is he broke?
Like, okay, so he's not good with money.
But there was something weird about that story.
Yeah.
Yeah, I don't know if it's all part of a cover-up or something or a distraction technique, but-
Yeah, Republicans do do strategy, and maybe it was a distraction because they knew all along.
Okay, so Gina Tricky writes in on YouTube's super chat now.
When they ask you what happened here, tell them the left for members.
Tell them winter came for House Trump.
You just got me so excited.
Well, you know, the Starks are wolves, and we do have a wolf pack.
All right, last one.
Elliot writes in, Anna, thank you.
If after all this, there are people who stand up with Trump, they are refusing to act as
responsible citizens who are concerned about their rights and that of their fellow citizens.
And thank you, Elliot.
I want to go to the thermometer for just one second here.
We're doing a membership drive and we really, honestly, we've got to pick it up.
So if you guys can be members, et cetera, that would be incredibly helpful to activate
or Insider, plus you get all of our shows, over a dozen shows, basically a progressive Netflix.
So it's t.com slash join.
Let's see where we are today.
Okay, 32,563.
The good news is we were trying to get over 500.
Yesterday we did.
So thank you for that, guys.
But we got to keep it going, and there's still a long way to go.
We're trying to get to 100,000.
And I'm telling you guys, if we get to 100,000, there's not a damn thing they could ever do about the Young Turks.
and it will drive them crazy, absolutely crazy.
So drive the right wing crazy, become a young turks member.
Okay, all right, what's next, Anna?
All right, we have a breaking news story, so we're going to cut into some of this Kavanaugh coverage.
We'll pick back up later.
But this story is important, so we make sure that we correct the record.
Yesterday, Amazon received quite a bit of positive attention after it was announced
that they would be increasing the minimum wage of its employees from $7.25.
the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour.
Now it's being reported that Amazon is planning on making up for that cost, I guess,
by cutting monthly bonuses and also stock awards for the individuals who will be getting these increases in their wages.
So no more monthly bonuses or stock awards.
Just to give you an idea of how this all worked before, warehouse workers,
would receive one Amazon share, which is worth nearly $2,000 at the moment, at the end of every
year, on top of another single share reward every five years.
So Yahoo News is also noting that warehouse workers can earn up to 8% of their monthly income
every month, which could be as much as $3,000 a year for some workers.
Workers were also notified about this change today.
So yesterday there was this video that went viral showing warehouse workers.
celebrating and unfortunately today they were notified that the other bonuses that they've been enjoying
will be taken away. Yeah. I'm afraid that the- At TYT, we frequently talk about all the ways

uh we're right and so after all these years we you know sometimes i get mad at myself because i'm
still an optimist, and it leads to, not naivete, that's too strong, but a little bit of hopefulness.
When we got good news yesterday that Amazon was going to increase its wages to $15 for all their
workers, we got excited.
It seemed, and in a lot of ways, it was a progressive victory, and Bernie Sanders and Rokana
worked hard to make that happen, but I should know better.
I should know that corporations are amoral, they have no morality at all.
it. But in the case of Bezos, a comment I often make is that the founders have a lot more leverage.
For public corporations that don't have their founders anymore, they're just machines.
And they don't have any choice. And if you're a CEO of that machine and you don't crush your
workers and you don't crush every citizen to make an extra penny, you'll be fired.
You have a fiduciary responsibility to make every single penny you have, right?
But Bezos cannot be fired.
He's a founder and he has all the power in the world.
He could choose to do whatever he wants.
And here it seemed like, look, you got heavy, heavy pressure to do it, but at least he did
the right thing and we gave him credit for it yesterday.
But it turns out it might have been a trick all along because I want to explain to you one
thing that I don't think that the rest of the press is covering well enough, okay?
So he gives with one hand and takes away with the other.
hand. And still, some of the workers might be in better shape because their wages rising
might be give them a better financial outcome at the end than losing these. As some of the
press explains, for other workers, they'll actually be in worse financial shape. So that's
most of the story. But there's another part that's really important. They said that employers
prefer, this is in Amazon's announcement, the quote, the predictability and immediacy of cash
compared with stock awards. No, no, no, no, no. I'll interpret that for you.
What that means is we prefer the immediacy and the predictability of giving them slightly
higher wages instead of not knowing how much we're going to owe them because our stock
won't stop rising. Amazon stock has gone through the roof. It's doubled in the last year.
It's now, as Anna, I think just said, at around $2,000 a share that we alluded to that.
And so, as Amazon's, that's why this might have been a trick all along.
They might have had a meeting and thought.
You're so right.
You're so right.
And the meeting is we got to stop giving our employees stock options because the stock's so
damn high, they're going to make too much money.
How do we get the employees to not get the stock?
If we just take away their stock options, it's going to seem monstrous.
Oh, I got an idea.
We'll give them a raise first, but then cost them more money by taking away their stock
options and have more predictability for our bottom line.
You know what makes me realize how right you are?
The fact that they didn't announce this part of the deal until today.
Of course.
And by the way, everyone covered Amazon raising their wages, and that was good news, and we covered it.
And that makes sense.
And a lot of people are covering this, but will it get the same amount of press?
No way.
No way.
You lead with what's positive for you, and then you do the bad stuff later.
AT&D did something very similar.
Oh, we're giving bonuses.
Just kidding.
We're firing a lot of people.
Firing a lot of people got almost no press.
The bonuses got a gigantic amount of press.
Exactly.
Right?
And by the way, one of the people that work at Amazon and that helped them with press
is Jay Carney, the former White House spokesperson for Barack Obama.
So Jay, you must be awfully proud.
It was a trick well played.
And look, to be clear, I mean, wage increases are better than, you know, unpredictable bonuses.
Like sometimes companies will do that, and that's certainly what happens.
happened after the Trump administration and, you know, Republicans in Congress cut taxes for
the wealthy.
Like, oh, yeah, this is totally working.
We're gonna totally pay our employees more.
They gave some of their employees a one-time $1,000 bonus, and then that was it.
But it's not something that people can rely on because you never know.
You never know if you're gonna get a bonus, you know, in your year-end review, whatever
it is.
But if you get that wage increase, then at least you know, hey, this is a certain amount of money
that I can rely on every month so I can, you know, take care of myself and my family.
But you are absolutely right about those shares.
Those shares are super valuable.
And at the end of the day, they are saving money by refusing to give them to their employees
and instead increasing their wages a little bit.
Look, they might be saving a little bit of money now.
And some of the workers might get a little bit more on the wages.
But what if the stock price doubles again?
And they think it might.
Well, then they're out of a lot of money.
Instead, give a nickel now, take away a dollar later.
Man, I don't know.
Look, I know business, and so I can decipher this stuff for you guys.
But I don't, maybe I'm not vicious enough.
You are definitely not vicious.
And so, like, the Bezos of the world, I don't know, they seem to lack some empathy that I cannot fathom.
How much money do you need?
You're the richest man in the world.
You've got over $100 billion.
Why squeeze your employees for that extra nickel?
Why not just take the good press and be done with it?
It's one of the biggest companies in the world.
It's not a small fledgling company.
It's not a mid-sized company.
It doesn't have any issues about sustainability.
No, it's your profits are literally record shattering.
No, more, more, more, more.
I don't have that in me.
And so maybe that doesn't speak well of me.
in the business world.
I don't know, man.
We like you.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I don't know, anyway.
Anyway, okay, so let's get back to Kavanaugh.
Republican senators are getting approached by women who want to share their stories of sexual assault and rape.
And the whole point is to convince them the same way the courageous women convinced Jeff Flake to call for an FBI investigation into Brett Kavanaugh.
Now, I want to show you three examples, and we're going to start off with Mitch McConnell,
who insists that the Senate vote on Brett Kavanaugh later this week on Friday.
Let's see how he responded to women who approached him with their stories.
Why won't you look at her?
We would like to know if you believe survivors as sexual violence.
Excuse us, please don't block the way.
How do your constituents feel, Mr. McConnell?
How do they feel?
Mr. McConnell, we know when you respect the Democrats.
These don't block away, ma'am.
Will you be?
These are blocked away?
Yes.
Will you ensure that there's a full-act-a-man and ask to these women who are talking to you about their surviving stories?
Are you assaulting me?
Excuse me.
Am I being assaulted right now?
Why are you putting your hands on her?
Excuse me.
I keep stepping on her feet.
Do you want the Republican Party to be the public party that is known?
We're promoting rape and sexual assault?
Don't you care about the legacy?
Senator McCona, why do women have to bear their whole soul to you?
They don't know their whole soul to you?
How many stories of sexual violence do you need to hear in order to believe women?
Is this what your constituents can expect of you?
Is this what they can expect a Republican?
Do you not believe survivors or do you believe it doesn't matter?
And your mother, will you support a full FBI investigation?
It's everyone on the victims that's trying to bring their story forward,
including Debbie Ramirez.
I'm Julie's question.
I loved every minute of that.
Nevertheless, they persisted.
That was, it was amazing.
I don't know what her name is, if you guys know, please tweet to me and let me know, but she's
incredible.
You go, girl.
Yeah, both of them, wonderful.
And so we've had debates on the show about whether to chant and yell at people in restaurants.
This is not that.
This is in a public setting, you've got a senator, they're asking him legitimate.
questions, they're not doing weird, alt-right stuff and making up things.
They're asking them questions about, do you care about sexual assault survivors?
The African-American woman there, I'm sorry, I don't know her name either, but said,
hey, you just shook that guy's hand, basically, right?
She alluded to.
And here we are trying to tell you stories about how, about sexual assault survivors.
And you're just totally ignoring us and running away.
Yeah.
Mitch McConnell doesn't care.
I mean, that's clear.
And he's pushing for that vote on Friday of this week.
Yeah, I mean, look, and I know they're in a difficult position.
One way to not be in a difficult position is to actually kill about sexual assault survivors
and substance instead of just playing politics.
I know that's out of the question.
But another thing you could do, just as a matter of being a quarter decent person, is,
okay, look, you ignored them the whole way.
You got to your car.
You're safe.
You're going to go, okay?
So just at that point, turn around and just address them for a minute, two minutes,
and say, like, I'm so sorry to hear about your pain.
And I know that you and I disagree because I think that as much as I feel enormous empathy
towards you and Dr. Blasie Ford, I don't think Kavanaugh did it.
And I think that's a fair disagreement.
Like, just have a conversation like that.
No, I don't care.
No, I don't care.
No, I don't care.
I don't care.
That's exactly right.
And the point that I want to make is, and it's beside the issue of sexual assault
and rape, although that's front and center at the moment.
But does anyone else realize what a joke our representative democracy is?
I mean, are they representing us?
They don't even give you the time of day unless you're willing to dole, you know, tens of millions
of dollars to their ridiculous campaigns.
If you're not willing to give them the money, they don't care what you have to say.
They don't care about what you've gone through and they have no interest in protecting
you.
Look, I have good news for you guys in terms of democracy.
We've talked about this in other contexts.
So, when Wolfpack goes to talk to state legislators, whether they're Democrats or Republicans,
they actually most of the time do listen.
So, but you have to really get into local politics and in some of the cases they're, you know,
some of the states have good systems where there's public financing, so they're really responsive
to you.
One woman in Maine who's a legislator runs the cash register at our local grocery store, et cetera.
And you can, but even Republicans will come and have lunch with you and hear you out on a story
and on what you care about, right?
As long as you're a constituent.
But at the national level, they're gone.
They're gone.
If you're not coming with a check, they have no interest, none.
You have no chance of talking to them.
When's the last time Mitch McConnell talked to a random person in Kentucky and actually gave a damn?
And took, not like, hey, I'm at a fair and I'm taking pictures and it's a photo op,
but took 15 minutes to find out, you know, what's causing you pain?
What's going right in your life?
What's going wrong in your life?
How can I help?
The only time he asks, how can I help is when someone comes with a giant check.
Exactly.
Well, we have more examples.
We also have an interaction that Senator Purdue from Georgia had.
Let's take a look at that.
Well, Senator, don't you think it's important for you to talk to constituents about how you're voting?
Senator, there are millions of women who have come out about their sexual assault.
There are millions of women who have come out about their sexual assault.
You don't feel you have to ask any questions.
You don't feel that you have to answer any questions.
The people who have come out about them.
These don't question will as all.
Senator.
Senator.
Senator.
Yes, sir.
Last week,
Denver played a call for an FBI investigation.
We'd like to know how you put,
how you stand on that investigation.
Senator, would you support a full
representative of all the claims?
I'm state representative of the cell of blank.
I'm touched the other time.
I haven't touched you, sir.
You aren't being touched, sir.
We're asking for.
We're asking you to stand up for justice.
We are asking you to do the right thing.
Don't talk to women who have been assaulted.
How can you ignore our pleas?
Senator, you have to ask you to stand up and do the right thing, Senator.
So it appeared that the woman trying to shake his hand was a state representative.
She said that several times.
I mean, normally there's some common courtesy.
I know you don't care about members of the public, but when someone else is a legislator,
nope, did you hear what he said?
don't touch me. Well, first of all, you saw the video, she didn't touch him. She was already
to shake his hand. And then my favorite part, of course, was when he ran into the bathroom
to try to avoid them. Yeah, and hid there. I mean, come on. They're so pathetic. And then
finally, Bob Corker. Remember, Bob Corker was one of the original Republican senators
who pretended like he was somewhat troubled by these accusations. Yeah, can I just, sorry,
before we go to Corker, one more thing on Purdue. Did anybody really think he felt threatened
there, two different times he's like, hey, don't touch me, okay?
These are women who are talking to you about sexual assault survivors.
It's okay, like you don't- You know what, you know what he, I mean, he treated them like
their second-class citizens, which is, are you guys surprised?
Is anyone really surprised?
Republicans have been treating women as second-class citizens for a long time, for a very
long time.
I mean, go ahead.
Sorry, if a madman like Alex Jones bum rushes you at an airport, right?
You could have cause for concern.
Some all right maniac comes at you at an airport.
You could have cause for concern.
Anybody think that those women were going to harm Senator Perdue, you're right, don't
touch me, don't touch me.
Now you're worried about somebody getting touched.
When it's you and it's an actual citizen, they want to shake your hand, now you're worried
about somebody getting touched.
It's disgusting.
All right, now let's go to corporate.
And what can you commit to women of the country that you'll commit to when we have to five days?
And what do you have to say to your constituents who do
for sexual violence?
I always attempt to do the right thing.
What's that?
What do you have to say to your constituents who suffer from sexual violence?
How do we support things with that?
How do you show that you believe them?
Yeah, well, I'm very familiar with people having been assaulted and talked to many
and my heart goes out to anybody being done as I can do with man.
I know people very, very well as far as many people.
But you think that's enough for women, for survivors?
Look, I know y'all are having, I know this is enjoyable to y'all.
This is not enjoyable.
This is our life.
It is not fun for us to tell our stories.
I have to make sure that people like people don't have to matriculate the life worry that
needed power won't take care of.
Thank you so much.
I appreciate it.
Yeah, he almost had it, man.
He actually talked to them.
He almost had it.
And then he has to ruin it with that phrase.
I know this is enjoyable to y'all.
No, I don't think, I don't think sexual assault victims enjoy recounting what they went through.
They're doing this because they're trying to convince you to do your job as a lawmaker,
which is protect your constituents, protect the voters, protect Americans, look out for them.
But he has no interest in that.
Like, if you're watching the video the first time you're thinking, like, oh, okay, maybe he said,
hey, he's at least engaged in any conversation, maybe this one's going to turn out decent.
And, okay, and he talked to him, hey, I know people.
Okay, good, good, good.
We're not asking for much.
Just a little tiny bit of human empathy and discussion with a constituent, et cetera, right?
And at the end, he had to go and blow it by saying, I know this is enjoyable for you guys.
Come on, don't.
And I, one more time.
I love those women.
They're so good.
Yeah, they're hanging out of their report.
They know these guys got to go back home to raise money.
Okay, by the way, let's keep it real.
That's what's happening.
Yes.
Okay.
So they're like, oh, okay, you're going to get money.
Okay, well, then we're right here.
and we're going to keep asking you these questions.
They're your senators.
They're supposed to represent you.
I know we forget that because they're so corrupt.
But it's supposed to be a democracy.
You've got every right to ask your representatives' questions.
Let's take a break.
When we come back, I am going to give you the updates on the FBI investigation or non-investigation
based on what we know so far.
And then later on, we're going to talk about what's going on at the Consumer Financial
Protection Bureau and with pharmaceutical drugs.
