All right, back on the Young Turks.
Let me first read some comments, and we will read comments throughout the night.
Election coverage tonight.
We'll have John Adirola and Michael Schur, so Epic Jr. and senior for you guys.
Lyle and hashtag T.YT. Live to always talk to us throughout the show or use YouTube super chat, which also helps the show.
Okay, Lyle Miller says, remember, Trump is all about projection.
It wouldn't surprise me to eventually find out he was born in Kenya.
Lyle, that would probably surprise me.
But it's a funny thought anyway.
Carrie G says, I can't visit in person, but I sent the red hen a tip today from Texas.
That's funny.
And they probably got a decent amount of those, and they're probably doing all right.
Jeremy Kohler says, given their apparent state of Trump's restaurants, I wouldn't be surprised
if the beds at Trump's hotels come pre-urinated on.
All right, Jeremy, you got Edwin to laugh.
So, T-shirt for you, shopty-t.com, okay?
you're going to get a free one, Jeremy.
And Jeremy, thanks for always participating in the show.
Mischief manager says, hi, the Young Turks.
I voted for Acosio 2018 today.
I just wanted to thank you for your show Rebel Headquarters.
I never would have heard of her or the primary without you guys.
Hashtag TYT Live, hashtag first tweet.
Great.
Thank you.
God, that makes me feel good.
If we've done anything that helps educate people about real progressives,
That's what we live for.
We're the home of progressives, and that's what we're trying to do.
By the way, speaking of which, our TY.T. Politics crew is in Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's
headquarters tonight, and we will be double streaming.
While we're doing election coverage, they will also be doing coverage from her headquarters,
including Ryan Grimm, Emma Vigland, and members of Chopo Trap House for the first time
on the Young Turks.
That's going to be at Facebook.com slash Rebel.
at 9 p.m. Eastern tonight. Facebook.com slash Rebel HQ. All right, let's go over here.
So Jimmy Fallon had Donald Trump on his show while back, and he asked him no hard-hitting
questions, and he played around with his hair. He got a lot of criticism for that.
You know, I don't know if that's his job or not, but he responded, and he said, I'm sorry,
I don't want to make anyone angry. I never do, and I never will. It's all in the fun of the
show. I made a mistake. I'm sorry if I made anyone mad. And looking back, I would do it differently.
Again, I'm not vigilant on that. I really like Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel and I, and I,
and I like that they're being a lot more passionate about their views on air. And I think that
works better. But everybody has the right to do their show in their own way. But for whatever
reason, Jimmy got a lot of pressure, Fallon did, and decided to put out that statement.
Trump's going to respond in a second and it's going to get crazy, of course.
But one more from Fallon, he said, I did not do it to, quote, normalize him or to say I believe in his political beliefs or any of that stuff.
Okay, so it's a mild, very mild statement.
No problem either way.
But of course, Donald Trump does not take it mildly instead he attacks.
So he sent this tweet.
He said, Jimmy Fallon is now whimpering to all that he did the famous hair show with me where he seriously messed up my hair.
You're complaining about that.
She's, what a child.
This guy's president, Jesus.
And that he would now have done it differently because it's said to have humanized me.
He's taking heat.
He called and said, monster ratings.
Be a man, Jimmy.
Okay.
As you're about to find out, that's a monstrous lie.
As usual.
This, I mean, it's a fun little story about Jimmy Fallon and the president.
But it does give you an insight into how pathological Trump is.
We're going to get to that in a minute.
Jimmy Fallon did respond in a tweet again very calmly in honor of the president's tweet.
I'll be making a donation to races in his name and race is an organization that helps
young immigrant kids and families.
So Trump in one of his campaign style rallies in South Carolina decided he was going to take
to the next step and he's going to attack Jimmy Fallon.
Let's watch.
Did you see Jimmy Fallon?
Jimmy Fallon.
The guy screws up my hair, it's going back and forth.
He's lost.
He looks like a lost soul, right?
He gets out there, hey, hey, hi, oh.
But you know what?
He's a nice guy.
I agree to do a show.
And because I guess I was running at that time, I think I was right.
It was, he got tremendous ratings on that show.
I killed everybody, right?
He should be thankful.
He shouldn't be upset and angry.
And he really hurt himself.
So I said, Jimmy, you call.
called me up after the show.
And you said, thank you for the incredible, you called the monster ratings.
They were very big ratings.
I said, thank you, Jimmy.
That's very nice.
I said, don't hurt yourself by apologizing.
So I said to him today on social media, I said, Jimmy, be a man.
Just relax.
Just relax.
Okay, so let's put aside that the president is putting on a show and does this antics.
that I mind less, he reaches his own audience in that way.
To me, the most interesting part is a very specific discussion of a phone call between him
and Jimmy Fallon.
So Jimmy Fallon then went on the air and responded.
First part's just fun, the second part's important.
First part is he says, as you may have heard the president of the United States went after
me on Twitter.
He said, so, Melania, if you're watching, I don't think your anti-bullying campaign is working.
Okay, so that's fun and it's true.
It is curious that she chose that campaign of all campaigns.
But here comes the important part.
He then went on to say, and he said he called, referring to Trump, and said monster ratings.
First of all, I've never called this human in my life.
I don't have his number.
I don't want his number.
I've never said, quote, monster ratings.
I don't know what he's talking about.
By the way, Donald, I don't know if you've seen my ratings the past two years.
You didn't help my ratings.
But really, thanks a lot.
Thanks for nothing.
So, now, who do you believe?
You believe Donald Trump or you believe Jimmy Fallon?
Because they'd say completely different stories.
One says, I called him and Jimmy Fallon thanked me for his monster ratings.
The other one says, I don't even have his number.
I've never called that guy in my life.
Now, any reasonable person knows Jimmy Fallon's not going to make that up.
He's not even a political guy.
I don't even know what his politics are and I don't care about his politics.
He got heat for not being political when he had Trump on.
You think Jimmy Fallon would make up a story about how he didn't call Donald Trump when he, in fact, he had?
That seems inconceivable.
So think about it.
What a pathological liar the president is.
So out of whole cloth to make up a story.
Oh, yeah, then afterwards, he calls me.
And he says, thank you, Mr. President, for my monster ratings.
Yeah, he called me.
Yeah, yeah, that's it.
He told me that, yeah.
What a loser.
What a sad, sad little baby.
To go around to pretend that people call you and he still can't get it through his head.
You knucklehead, you're the president.
I know you're obsessed with television and ratings and oh, that's the host of the Tonight Show.
You're the president.
You're more powerful.
You're bigger.
But no, he can't help himself because he's a pathological liar.
Oh, yeah, he called me.
That very important person called me and wanted to tell me how great I was.
Yeah, yeah, that's the ticket.
And all these schmucks out there, Trump voters, they eat up.
Oh, I'm like, yeah, yeah, I bet he did.
I bet Jimmy thanked him for it.
Ah, ha ha ha ha ha.
Idiots, total suckers, all Trump ever does is run scams.
And his last scam is on you.
Okay, now we're moving on.
Let's go to Maxine Waters.
Now it's getting more and more serious as we go along.
Okay.
Now a lot of people are upset about what Maxine Waters said about Republicans and bothering them
in public.
So I want you to have the full context.
We're going to show you what she said and then I'm going to show you what Donald Trump
has said in the past.
Let's watch.
Let's say the course.
Let's make sure we show up wherever we have to show up.
And if you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant.
in a department store at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd, and you push back
on them, and you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere.
Now, she didn't say punch them, she didn't say assault them, she said, the worst thing she said
was push back on them, but you could tell within the context of the conversation she means,
and by the way, you might disagree with this, and I don't love it.
And I've had that debate on the show, yell at them or tell them that they're not welcome, okay?
But the context of her quotes is self-evident, and you just saw it for yourself.
Now, 24-7, cable news goes ballistic.
Every Democrat, Democratic leader goes out there and bows down and apologizes.
Oh, my gosh, she's starting it.
It's just so uncivil and so uncivil.
We need to talk about a relatively new show called Un-Fri-The Republic or UNFTR.
As a Young Turks fan, you already know that the government, the media, and corporations are constantly peddling lies that serve the interests of the rich and powerful.
But now there's a podcast dedicated to unraveling those lies, debunking the conventional wisdom.
In each episode of Un-B-The-Republic or UNFTR, the host delves into a different historical episode or topic that's generally misunderstood or purposely obfuscated by the so-called powers that be, featuring in-depth research,
razor-sharp commentary, and just the right amount of vulgarity,
the UNFTR podcast takes a sledgehammer to what you thought you knew
about some of the nation's most sacred historical cows.
But don't just take my word for it.
The New York Times described UNFTR as consistently compelling and educational,
aiming to challenge conventional wisdom and upend the historical narratives that were taught in school.
For as the great philosopher Yoda once put it,
you must unlearn what you have learned.
And that's true whether you're in Jedi training
or you're uprooting and exposing all the propaganda and disinformation
you've been fed over the course of your lifetime.
So search for UNFDR in your podcast app today
and get ready to get informed, angered, and entertained all at the same time.
Now, and give me a little bit of rare.
credit here to MSNBC. Normally we do these compilations, but they did a great job here and put a link
to the whole segment for you guys in the description box. They had a compilation of Donald Trump's
comments from the rallies. Let's, and this was well before Congresswoman Waters ever said anything.
Let's see who was actually uncivil and called for actual violence.
If you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of him, would you?
Seriously.
Okay? Just knock the hell. I promise.
I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees, I promise.
The guards are very gentle with him.
He's walking out like big high fives, smiling, laughing.
I like to punch him in the face, I'll tell you.
All right, yeah, get him out.
Try not to hurt him.
If you do, I'll defend you in court.
Don't worry about him.
Hillary wants to abolish, essentially abolish
the Second Amendment.
By the way, and if she gets to pick,
if she gets to pick,
to pick her judges. Nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe
there is, I don't know. That is so much worse than anything, anyone on the left has ever said
that was in public office. I mean, the punch them in the face is already an order of magnitude
worse than what Maxine Waters said. But the Second Amendment people, maybe there's something
you can do about Hillary Clinton.
And we're having a conversation about who started it?
We're having a conversation about who's more uncivil.
That's a real conversation.
Now, that's false equivalency.
That's total nonsense.
Now, one of the reasons why the mainstream media cares more about what Maxime Waters said
and less about what Trump said is because Maxine Waters went after people that are in the elite
in the establishment.
Those are Trump administration officials.
Protesters, that's just you guys.
He encourages people to punch you, assault you.
That's not as important, is it?
Right?
Now, to be fair, a lot of people did criticize Trump for those things earlier.
And again, here, credit to MSNBC for putting that compilation together.
But to have a conversation about comparing Maxine Waters' comments to Donald Trump's is already outrageous.
But to pretend that Maxine Waters is the one that caused the lack of the lack of,
of civility in America is over the top outrageous.
Now, one last thing.
In case you're wondering, has Maxine Waters ever suffered from violent threats from
Donald Trump supporters?
Well, I'm glad you asked.
There was Anthony Scott Lloyd who called in and said this to Maxine Waters, and it was
captured on our answering machine, and then the police went and talked to him.
because he said if you continue to make threats towards the president, you're going to wind up
dead, Maxine, because we'll kill you.
Of course, he also threw in the N-word and did anti-gay slurs.
But she already got those kind of threats.
Now, and if you're a person involved in this controversy, you might know that.
But nonetheless, Trump undeterred, went on to tweet this.
Congresswoman Maxine Waters, an extraordinarily low IQ person.
Now, that is hilarious coming from Donald Trump.
I don't know if his IQ's in the double digits.
Anyway, he continues, low IQ person has become together with Nancy Pelosi, the face of the Democrat Party.
By the way, Nancy Pelosi denounced her, but he doesn't care about the truth anyway.
She has just called for harm to supporters of which there are many of the Make America Great Again movement.
And then he adds ominously, be careful what you wish.
for Max, to a person who's already received death threats from his supporters.
Now, you tell me Maxine Waters started the problem? That's really the conversation that's
going on on cable? No. No, we know who started this. And there's a reason why people are acting
out in the streets and in restaurants and in movie theaters and all across the country.
We have given them no outlet.
The left has been pushed and pushed and pushed.
And overall, the American population has been pushed by the establishment and given no outlet.
Your votes don't matter as much anymore.
The donors rule everything.
And 93% of Americans believe that the donors are the ones that the politicians listen to, not the voters.
So if you have no democratic outlet, eventually things are going to burst.
It's a bad idea.
I don't want it to happen.
But this is exactly what we warn the establishment about.
And they thought, no, no, no, there are no pitchforks.
I got news for you, there are pitchforks.
And it's not a good thing.
But now, apparently, both sides have them.
Okay.
All right, now, last story for you guys in this segment.
So Donald Trump has been making a lot of outrageous statements.
and has pushed hateful rhetoric about immigrants.
Well, unfortunately, that has rubbed off on his supporters, who either feel this way because he's
been saying it over and over again, or now at least feel emboldened to say what they thought
all along.
And we have another case of that, of a white woman confronting a Mexican man in California.
I mention the races here, because she is going to make them relevant.
Let's take a look.
I don't know why you hate us.
Why do you hate us?
Because we're Mexican.
Because we're Mexican?
Yeah.
We're honest people right here.
Yeah.
Rape's.
How many people have I raped?
How many people?
How many drugs have I dealt?
How?
Oh, yeah?
Yeah.
You believe everything you see on the news?
Yeah.
You see how we're working hard right here.
We're also pulling it in everybody else's yard.
No, she said...
She said there.
Oh, look.
Look.
Here.
Look, here.
Look, here.
He was in the middle of working, man.
And she comes up to him, she picks this fight.
And he says, is it because we're Mexicans?
She says, yeah.
And he said, we're honest people.
And in case you didn't hear it, she laughed and said, ha, ha, yeah, rapists and animals, drug dealers.
That's what she said.
Gee, I wonder where she might have gotten that from.
Let's take a look.
When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best.
They're bringing drugs.
They're bringing crime.
They're rapists.
I used the word rape.
And yesterday it came out where this journey coming up,
women are raped at levels that nobody's ever seen before.
But we're taking people out of the country.
You wouldn't believe how bad these people are.
These aren't people.
These are animals.
I call them animals.
the other day and I was met with rebuke they said they're people get out people
these are animals she I wonder where she got that idea from this is how
demagoguery works you put out propaganda dehumanizing other class of people
and you say it over and over again until all of your supports start believing it
and then saying it to people, and then trying to intimidate them.
And today we're having a conversation about which side is uncivil.
They call immigrants, animals, and rapists, and drug dealers, and they do it in front of their face.
Now, Maxine Waters made a slight comment about Trump administration officials and everybody went ballistic.
But that guy right there, his name is Esteban Guzman, he has no power.
So there's no cable news host coming to defend him.
There's no politicians coming to defend him.
How many Esteban Guzman's are there in this country that didn't wind up recording the incident?
That get this kind of hateful, vile racism directed at them every day because of the stuff the president says.
You know what she said at the end?
She said, come here, a little boy.
Come here, a little boy.
They're driving people in a very bad direction.
You're right in the middle of this podcast.
We've got another great segment coming up for you.

Lots of comments here.
I'm going to try to keep it short.
Tim Klein, Jr. says, Anna deserves a standing ovation for this segment.
Thanks.
Somebody writes in on a YouTube super chat, and we do here have opposing opinions, and we
discuss them and have real conversations.
they write in, you're giving a platform right now.
He is about Milo.
He's a pathetic pedophile troll, ignore his desperate attempt to remain relevant with these comments.
So I hear you, and we have those debates internally as well.
Yeah.
But unfortunately, we're finding a losing battle against the media that finds all that stuff
catnip.
So it's time to strike back and get in the game.
And so that's the direction we went.

Referring to the 10 bucks that he gave through YouTube super chat.
Daniel, we really, really appreciate it.
But you guys deserve it for finally calling out Dave Rubin.
You guys should have on either Sam or Michael from the Majority Report to speak on his funding.
Well, Majority Report talks about that all the time.
So you should check that out for that purpose.
Yeah, I just want to jump in on that.
So, look, he was a really good friend of mine.
He meant a lot to me.
I was at his home every weekend with my now husband.
And when all this went down, it totally blindsided me.
And it was super hurtful, and it took a long time for me to kind of deal with it and get over it, you know.
But I refuse to badmouth him on air, even though he was badmouting us like crazy.
He went on Rogan Show, badmouthed us on Rogan Show.
And it was hurtful.
And every appearance, he bad mouthed us, every single one.
And we held back until now.
Anyway.
Yeah.
So, look, I didn't mean to cut you off.
No, no, it's okay.
I just, you know, and I wanted to be the bigger person and just not attack him publicly.
But I just keep seeing him deceive people and then prop himself up as this intellectual
and how what he does is so important.
What he's doing is destructive and he deserves to be called out.
And it's a joke.
Okay, now back to the elections that are happening today.
Colin Barron's writes in on YouTube Super Chat.
Voted on my first primary today for Ian Golden at Justice Democrat.
Thanks, TYT, for your work.
Thank you, Colin.
Really, really appreciate it.
I want to remind everybody, the polls have not closed yet.
They're half an hour from closing in some areas.
But we've got Colorado, Maryland, New York, Oklahoma, and Utah voting today in very, very important primaries.
I want to quickly read you the Just Democrats you're seeing there.
Sira Rao in Colorado's first district.
Stephanie Rose Spalding in Colorado's fifth, Michael DeVito in New York's 11th, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and 14th of New York.
Jeff Beals in New York 19, Patrick Nelson in New York 21.
That's a really interesting race where Dylan Radigan is in the same race.
We'll talk about that in our election special and coming up in half an hour.
And Ian Golden in Colorado's race as well.
And then you've got Ben Jealous who's running for governor of Maryland and Roger Mano, a very good, great liberal.
in Maryland's 6th district against a big money guy.
So if you're in any of those states, please, please vote.
And we've got a giant election show for you guys.
Man, if those progressives win tonight, it is going to be fantastic.
If they lose, it's going to be heartbreaking.
So we find out tonight, make sure that you tune in starting at 8 o'clock Eastern for our election coverage.
All right, Anna, what's next?
All right.
There have been a number of protesters who have showed up to the D.C. apartment of Stephen Miller,
who's the very Trump advisor who pushed for Trump's zero tolerance policy, separating children from their parents as they seek asylum.
And Elaine Chow and Mitch McConnell were also targeted by protesters as well.
And I want to be clear, none of these protests got violent.
None of them were even large protests.
No one got touched it anyway, but there is, you know, some issue with people showing up to people's homes.
Now, that's a debate, which we will probably have.
But first, let's start off with the video of the protesters in front of Stephen Miller's D.C. apartment.
Welcome here.
Say it loud, say it clear.
Immigrants are welcome here.
Say it loud, say it clear.
Immigrants are welcome here.
Say it loud, say it clear.
So, there it is, I mean, it seems like a very secure building.
It doesn't seem like he was in, actually he wasn't even home, let's keep it 100.
Yeah, he was out in business, he was not there.
Right, business.
Yeah, out destroying people's lives.
Yeah, that's his business.
And then there's the video featuring Elaine Chow and her husband, Mitch McConnell.
The protesters approach them after they left an event at Georgetown University.
We have a video of that, and I enjoyed Elaine Chow's response to the protesters.
I'm going to be honest.
Take a look.
Why are you separating family?
Why are you separating family?
Why are you separating family?
Why did you leave my husband alone?
Why don't you?
Why don't you?
I'm not trying to know.
But why is he separating family?
He's not.
I'm not.
I'm not trying to do it.
He's not a nice.
He has a nuance.
So I have a nuanced opinion on this.
And Anna, you're in favor of protesters doing this stuff in public.
And by the way, you know, she says leave my husband alone.
But I'm sure the protesters were targeting Mitch McConnell, who's the leader of the Republicans in the Senate.
But Elaine Chowell is also a Trump administration official.
So they might have been talking about you, too.
Yeah.
She's in Trump's cabinet.
And so my, look, in some ways, we did this a long time ago.
As I've explained on the show before in postgames and old schools, which you can get if you're a member, t.com slash join to become a member and get all of our shows.
Dave and I were on a plane once with a Bush administration official.
I kept getting his name wrong.
It's Dan Bartlett, okay?
And Dave, before we got on the plane, had told him, you know, you've done great damage to the country.
But he had his earphones in, and he wasn't sure he heard it.
So as we got onto the plane and Dan Bartlett was in first class, we're going coach.
As we're going back, I said, you know, you've done great damage to our country.
And he said, yeah, I know your friend told me already.
And I said, you shouldn't have let Dick Cheney roll over, you guys, because he was not the most
conservative out of the Bush and White House, but plenty conservative enough.
Right.
So to me, saying that in public without getting hostile is obviously perfectly acceptable.
I've done it in the past.
And there's been plenty of right-wringers who've done it to me and yelling at me at airports
way louder than you've seen in left-wing protests or anything certainly that I did.
But I am worried about going to people's homes.
I think that does cross the line.
If somebody's afraid to come out of their house, especially if they got a family there,
I'm worried about that, man.
So I'm not convinced that that's a good idea.
Yeah, I hear you on that.
So far from what I've seen, I'm comfortable.
Like that video, I mean, no one's threatening physical danger or harm to anyone.
But I also hear you.
I mean, how far will it go?
I mean, at what point is it going to go too far?
I do think about that, and I do think that it could be a slippery slope, even though I don't
really like slippery slope arguments.
But look, with all that said, the reason why I'm starting to be more open or receptive to
these forms of protest is because what we've been doing has not worked.
And we keep getting this messaging from the establishment and also from Republicans,
Trump's supporting Republicans that, oh, this is going to backfire.
This is not going to work, right?
You need to stop this.
No, we're not going to stop it.
We're not going to stop it because no one's interested in a civil debate.
No one's interested in debating the facts.
No one's interested in talking about what's really happening in the country.
To me, this administration is putting our entire constitution and system of government in jeopardy.
Trump wants to do things unilaterally.
He wants to, you know, do away with judges.
is do away with having to deal with Congress, and it's unacceptable.
He is solidifying his own power and causing untold harm to all these innocent people.
No, I can't have it, I can't have it.
I know this is a crazy thing to even bring up, and I don't think that our society is headed
in this direction.
But when I watch Handmaid's Tale, this is not a spoiler, but in Handmaid's Tale, they're
in this dystopian society, right?
And the women who are suffering in this dystopian society keep having flashbacks to when
they were still free, but things were kind of starting to fall apart.
And they were still kind of complacent.
You know, they didn't like what was going on, but they didn't want to like get involved
in protests or ruffle feathers or stir the pot.
And then before they know it, they lose their freedom.
And I'm not saying that to fearmonger.
I'm saying that because it is possible for a democracy to be destroyed.
And I'm concerned about that.
So let's tackle a couple of different issues here.
Number one, it is a form of power that the left wing is now using.
And that is why it is making people very uncomfortable.
And so we have no other forms of power.
Our votes don't count because the donors overwhelm us with their access to the politicians.
They use it to buy TV ads and digital ads now.
and flyers, et cetera, and they bought our democracy.
So we used to have an outlet, it was called democracy, and that is unfortunately at the national
level nearly dead.
So then when you turn to media, outside of TYT, who's out there fighting for you?
And you turn on cable news, well, Republicans say this and the Democrats say that, and Trump
says this, and Democrats say that, but the establishment Democrats aren't on our side.
They fight us in every single primary.
They fight us in every way.
And so, and television doesn't have any Bernie Sanders supporters on.
It doesn't have any real progressives on.
It has corporate Democrats on, establishment Democrats on.
So they bottle you up and bottle you up and bottle you up.
So now when you actually speak out with your actual voice, because you don't, other than us,
you don't have a media outlet and no one's representing you guys.
And then when you do that, everybody comes down on you like a ton of bricks.
Right.
Right.
So I understand that a million percent.
The second thing I understand is that are you, did there, who started this?
Are you kidding me?
I mean, put aside Charlottesville and all the other violent rallies that they have done.
And the Tea Party people spitting on Democratic congressmen as they were going into Congress.
And we're having a conversation about who started it and who likes to intimidate people physically.
But I'll go all the way back to 2000.
During the recount, if you don't remember, they actually.
actually got Republican lobbyists to go and rattle the people trying to do a recount in Miami
date. They actually banged on the doors and they started making people afraid for their
lives until they stopped the recount. As it turns out, every press organization did a recount
and Gore would have won Florida. He didn't just win the popular vote. He would have won the electoral
vote. But those Republican lobbyists thugs threaten violence to get their way. Now you're going
to talk to us about how you're worried that the left is too uncivil. So I don't buy that at all.
But the one place where I am drawing a line and I think is important is have a little bit of
physical distance between you guys. And again, the same right wing with their total fake, fake
concern and crying. You're the ones who send people to clinics to yell at poor women who
are making the most difficult choice of their lives and you're trying to get between them and
the doctor and you hold up horrific pictures and you get right up in their grill in their face
and you try to intimidate them with your physicality.
And then you're telling us that you're worried about the left wing being too physical.
No, no, hell no.
The right wing doesn't get to complain about anything given their track record.
And then the rest of the media, the 50-50 nonsense is infuriating.
But guys, look, I'm not in the camp of if they go low, we go high.
That's how you lose.
No, no, they go low, you punch them in the face politically.
I say every time politically.
So we have to fight back super aggressively, but we start going to people's houses, and I don't
know where that ends, because they're vicious, and they are part of the authoritarian logic
of the right is that violence is not a bad thing.
And so everybody starts showing up at people's houses, and it's going to get ugly.
So you know what I say?
Look, I love shaking the rafters, but don't get as close as that situation with Elaine Chow was,
in my opinion, right, and you can just be a little bit more distant and still, so they can't
have an excuse of I was worried for my safety, right?
But you could still be loud, you could still be there.
You know where you should go?
You should go to where the donors bribe all these politicians.
Oh man, that's going to spook them, because those donors, they love to work in the dark.
They love to work in the shadows.
Sure, sure, yes, that would be good.
But I think that what's far more effective is making these people understand that you don't
get to enjoy, you know, these lovely moments in public spaces when you're destroying the lives
of other people, which is why I love the restaurant harassment.
I do, I do, I'm sorry.
And look, I would not be saying this if we're just dealing with Republican lawmakers that we
disagree with on policy.
There are people on the right that I disagree with, but I don't find them to be deplorable human
beings, right?
We just have different perspectives, different interpretations, different policy ideas.
I would be very much against this if we start going after people over those types of issues.
My issue with the Trump administration is their utter disdain for a democratic system.
That is my issue.
And how their disdain for that democratic system has translated into all of this cruelty and
harm toward innocent people.
That is my problem.
All right, we're going to ask you guys to because I'm genuinely curious about your opinion.
That's when we ask you guys question.
So the question in this case is, should people protest outside of Trump administration
officials' homes?
Yes or no?
If you're watching on Facebook, I think that'll pop up in the video and we'll have that
question everywhere for you guys.
Should people protest outside of Trump administration officials' homes?
So for whatever it's worth, that's where I would draw the line.
And I don't want to get too close to a situation that can create any kind of physical confrontation.
But if you're seizing power back by showing up and making your voices heard, it's about time we did something.
And if we've been shut out from political power and media power outside of the young Turks, well, this is the only thing that's left.
And so, but please, please keep a distance.
All right, take a break.
One more break, guys, an important Supreme Court decisions, very important ones when we return.
